Well, that is exactly right. The main factor that we need to have while we are in gambling is that proper self-control and of course the emotion handling.

its true that there are that kind of gamblers. However, its possible too that there are those rich gamblers who are not just into the fun of the game but the thrill it gives, the pleasure, thus them being a compulsive one. Its a common story of a rich being poor because of gambling. So it may not be that good to say that there are only 2 kinds of gamblers.
