Allot of people are making investment in Bitcoin, even with the risks involved. Everybody want to own Bitcoin. Many have half or more than half of their portfolio invested in Bitcoin already, This digital currency is becoming  almost common to all, when everyone owns a Bitcoin who then will care about it as it will be as common and a boring investment.

I believe this is a treat in the Bitcoin market value, could this actually bring down the market? Or it is a sign for feature increase in the market? Your thoughts are welcome..

I don't know where you get your numbers here, and saying that it is becoming almost common to all? We are far from adoption, and we even have minted all the bitcoin, so how can it be a common and boring investment?

This is not a threat but rather the economics and design, not anyone can even own 1 BTC in their lifetime. On the contrary, being a scarce asset similar to gold, the price has the potential to grow overtime.

Tell you what. If what you said here is true, I can almost guarantee that bitcoin's price will be way higher than it's current price. But why isn't bitcoin's price higher and instead is stagnant? Simply because what you said here is false. Not sure where you get that information in the first place.

Thats your opinion mateaybe you are right but I doubt that it will become a boring investment in the long run. In fact, I am excited if ever everybody almost have bitcoin on their purse but seeing many are using it means demand are increasing and if it happens price would drive up.

I think BTC supply is already specifically known even the remaining one, but for gold its still unsure of its scarce there are lot of untouched grounds/areas around the glove that could have source of it means BTC has more likely scarce than this that could increase demand once we unlocked every dust of it.

I believe most of investors don't allocate half or more than half of their portfolios into Bitcoin. It is not the investment strategy should be used. In contrast, what you said is a wise investment strategy but unfortunately most of investors don't do this. They do the opposite strategy. All (or most) of their investments are in altcoins. If you need reasons, yes they do so because altcoins are more promising to bring much higher ROE for investors. That is not true and only what newbie investors think and believe in.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are only adopted by young generations. For the middle-aged and elderly, they are readily to make their own researches and invest in bitcoin or crypto.

Bitcoin was never developed to be an investment, Satoshi Nakamoto created it to be used as a Currency. As you might know, some people use currencies as investments, like Forex trading and that is a lot more boring than trading in Crypto currencies, because other currencies have a lot less volatility.

This is the key for bitcoin's greater value. Imagine that plenty of people owning it and rushing to have more of it. Why would they? Because bitcoin is scarce and that what makes bitcoin unique and it will never be a boring investment in our era.

I love it how for the most par of this year it has remained 9k ish, last year was 7.5k ish. This is good, the less it moves, the better. But of course, when the USD collapses, and pulls the other fiats (the idiots pegged to them), the global economy, etc. bitcoin will keep your wealth all the same while everybody else who didn't invest in some asset will lose.

I'm going to take a deductive leap and assume that anyone talking about being bored is primarily a speculator?  Someone looking for fiat profit and having comparatively little interest in the benefits of actually using Bitcoin.  The excitement for me comes if/when Bitcoin is ubiquitous and I can spend it anywhere in exactly the same way I currently spend national currencies.  If that is to happen, it's seemingly a long way off, though.  Until then, enjoy the ride.

Hype is pretty much dead. Not just for btc but also for everything else.

It won't be boring if everyone owns a bit of BTC because by the time comes, most of the people will likely be accepting BTC for the services and products they are selling. It would only be boring if you keep it to yourself and not spend it. You need to make use of it like bet it to a casino. That won't be boring or buy an altcoin that you think isn't boring.

Just because there is a risk does not mean that people will not invest in the bitcoin or crypto currency. If that was the case stock markets should not have more clients than the previous because from years it is existing and still people invest and trade in it. Thus because of various reasons which will differ from each individual people do invest in crypto and will continue doing so and infact being so volatile the excitement will always continue to rise rather than deplete.

I do think you don't understand the reason why Bitcoins was created. It gives users the freedom from the clutches of corrupted centralized economic system , enables them to own something , protects their privacy and at the same time gives them an opportunity to earn money through trading , which is more or so more profitable because of the higher volatility as compared to fiat.

If we do go according to your way of thinking then , I do think even money would be boring for you now , since everyone owns it.

It was not introduced because it was supposed to entertain people or let those selected few who owned some Bitcoins feel special and different.

Would be beneficial if you would read this article.

If you don't know on what you are doing in this industry for sure you will get bored since you will not anything from it, But if you know on how to find those spots to earn money in every corners of this forum as well on the outside for sure  you will get excited on everyday ventures since to be honest there are so many opportunity on bitcoins and cryptocurrency, its up for you to discover it and be resourceful so that you will possibly see those opportunities.

Just don't focus on the value, focus on where you can earn it.

Also, I don't agree that it is becoming common to all or everyone owns a bitcoin. Up until today, the percentage who owns bitcoin is very small as compared to global population. The adoption is growing but the actual users is still very small. And if you are one of those who own even a little stash of it, would be exciting and not boring from my perspective. Someone will be excited as the value is supposed to increase over the years, so I don't think it will be a boring investment anytime soon.

For those who say investment is boring because it is too long to wait for prices to rise, this word can come out because they cannot hold back what they have done before.
Bitcoin is widely used in several versions including digital currencies which are currently widely used and may even become a legal payment tool in the future, I think there is no investment that is bored because all we have to wait for bitcoin is a little slow what we expect in this year after halving happened.

For all purposes, I see everyone owning "a" US dollar although most of them still care about it because it can be spent on things. And not just on big technical services, you can buy commodities with it. So when the time comes when most commodities can be purchased with bitcoin it won't be boring, it'll just be taken for granted.

I feel the same. People who are complaining are people who invested before the halving in hope of Bitcoin going to the moon right after. Now a month later the price is even lower than it was and the volatility is pretty much a textbook bot trading.
Those who wanted to buy for long term simply hold. Those who bought to sell with profit when Bitcoin pumps after the halving begin to question their decision. Bears still hope it will fall to 6-7k before going back up so they wait. I don't really care because I'm not planning to sell at 10 or 12k. These aren't the levels I'm waiting for so I'm prepared for some more months of "boring".

Each person holding a bitcoin is a rare possibility since it takes time to accumulate a whole bitcoin for a middle class man.
Bitcoin is supposed to be used as payment method. If everybody accumulates one bitcoin then they will probably use it more wisely since they will not want to waste their precious coins. You are not looking at everything correctly. there will always be people who like bitcoin and there will always be people who will buy bitcoin for different purposes

I think it depends on what kind of investor or a trader are you, there are people who treat bitcoin as short term investment and there are also lot of people who are see bitcoin as long term investment. It is really not a matter if you are a position or a active trader because the most important thing is you are earning profit from the market.

For those investors who see bitcoin as boring, I think they do not have determination to have successful outcome because they are too lazy to study and understand the price action of the bitcoin.

I never see this bitcoin as a boring investment because from the very start, I trust this cryptocurrency with all my assets and money. I still found it very interesting when its volatility strike and the price of bitcoin goes upward. Bitcoin for a long-term investment is effective and necessary for all of us because bitcoin's price is not that constant. You just need to wait for the right time to buy and sell in order to earn profit, and that's never a boring activity for me.

Based on what you are making such broad and big statements? "Everyone is investing in Bitcoin" means that you are just feeling like that it happening, right? It's probably because you have surrounded yourself with people who are into Bitcoin and you lost touch with reality of average people who at best only heard about Bitcoin some time ago.

If Bitcoin actually was mainstream, exchanges would be much more tightly regulated and we'd have much higher real volume, without all these fake trades. And Bitcoin would be daily discussed in mainstream economic media. And volatility would be much lower as the result of all of it.

You are right that the main reason why Bitcoin price is not quick to rise just like the old times is because too many altcoins are already in the market with a good volume. OP is just to naive to consider that if BTC will distribute to all people then it will be stagnant since no one will want to own more which absurd. The main goal of BTC is for mass adoption and it is the exact thing that OP mention.

I don't know how and why you consider it as a boring investment if everyone will own bitcoin. Also, how can this become a threat to the market value? Maybe OP meant boring in a way that bitcoin does not feature new things real fast, I might be wrong though. Bitcoin offers so many things and with its further use, innovations are integrating bitcoin in their technology and I do not think that can be a boring thing because that is a stepping stone for the further advancement of bitcoin and blockchain technology.

But afterward, you just add more to that investment and leave it there.

I don't think so. Eventhough lots of people might enter or acquire bitcoin, it doesn't necessarily means that it will be a boring investment and might as well decrease the value in the market because as far as I know when the bitcoin faces a scarcity the value tends to be much higher than it is that is why investing in it will be interesting because you never know what price it will hold later on.

People love security, even if it´s just a perceived one. Same goes for not wanting to go out the comfort zone. If Bitcoin becomes just as risky as a random blue chip, it might won´t move so erratic as it does in the past but more people will use it which in return is actually a good thing for the crypto movement. If it becomes "boring", it will help bring new people into cryptos and help fighting fiats and their manipulation by printers go brr .

Going with that sense, people have been investing in gold and stocks for years now. Have they become "boring"? Nope, they still are booming. No logic at all, value still depends from demands and supplies, once there are usages that be added

I want to believe what the OP consider boring as the long wait for profit in cryptocurrency, watching the slow growth in price sometimes. For almost all asset class bitcoin seem to create one of the shortest period to pick profit. Even in the bear some have made 5x when they pick at the bottom. Sticking with bitcoin reduces the risk in investment in cryptocurrency but doesnt mean no chance at all in altcoins.

The only risk involved in buying Bitcoin is not buying it at all. It is not a get quick rich scheme, its volatility is the reason it springs up when there are crises associated with the market. It is not a boring investment if you ask me.

Greater adoption of this coin do not threaten me as well, actually it's favorable for us because it lead us closer to our dream of crypto revolution — the more, the merrier.

If you feel bored, I guess you should try to invest in Altcoin. Bitcoin is the main coin in the crypto space and if many are investing in Bitcoin, I think it is very positive. You don't have to be bored because Bitcoin keeps growing and until now is still the most valuable coin.

I think you should try something new like investing in Altcoin. Ethereum, Tether, and XRP are coins that are also potentially growing in the future. You can try to invest in this coin or make daily trades that can benefit every day.

It is called adoption and adoption of Bitcoin is not a threat and can never make Bitcoin boring.

Bitcoin had been in existence since 2009 It wasn't as boring even now when many people are eager to own as many portfolio available by accumulating presently there many entrant into crypto world on daily this gonna continue as far as people are still existing in this planet.

Lol I do understand what you’re trying to say, but Bitcoin is not the only asset we have in the cryptocurrency market, there are so many other cryptocurrencies that people can still buy apart from the BTC you have mentioned. We have ethereum, ripple, Bitcoin cash, chainlink, and over a thousand of them if you check coinmarketcap. And moreover people are buying and selling Bitcoin every day, so I don’t see the possibility this happening (if it will, it’s probably going to take a very long time). There’s no day you wake up to buy BTC and they tell you that there is no BTC available in the market, lol, rather you will get thousands of offers. So that’s not something to worry about.

Bitcoin is part of investment vehicle that we can makr to acquire wealth. For me acquiring wealth is not boring and it is really fun especially when investing became your passion. If you feel bored on making investment with bitcoin, I think it is better if you will stop investing especially when you are not in the mood because emotions can lead you to make bad decisions when you are not aware about it.

I don't think that it will happen. The probable reason is that Bitcoin at that time will be having a good price. At that time, Bitcoin will not be stagnant, a lot of people will be using it and hoping they can invest and get on with the profits other people are having. Altcoins will have their movements too and I think that is more exciting than ever.

This is far from what you think, I haven't been involving in the post because so many thoughts brought out were also clearified in a way by different individuals. In the aspect of the investment of BTC , it was as well clearified, BTC was made specifically to be a currency and a means of payment, yet many see it as an investment opportunity because of it volatility. Now imagine this volatility dies in the long run, boring will become it case..

Every crypto article are most likely to have different results as they have different amount of respondents, but we can't also deny that this survey is close to the actual number of people who owns Bitcoin. I'm sorry but I don't agree with this. I don't think bitcoin is becoming common to everyone, maybe what you meant by becoming common is that bitcoin becomes common when people hear about it and it has become a "common word" to all of us, but in terms of owning a bitcoin, well I beg to disagree on that. Many people still don't own any amount of bitcoin at all. They may have heard about it but still don't have the money to invest on it.

Saying that Bitcoin will become a boring investment is a close minded opinion. That is why we are even here in the forum. People are learning and studying what Bitcoin does and how can it help users monetize their time. There is no problem investing on Bitcoin because you can gain it by a lot of ways. You can gain Bitcoin even without having a financial capital and just your time. Every people should be open to new opportunities and don't rush to closing open doors.

Maybe the reason why he is bored is simply because he cannot make money on his own investment. As a investors, of course you will feel grateful especially if you are earning huge amount of money. I do not feel bored after because I can make money even if the trend of bitcoin is in bearish trend. For those who are bored in bitcoin investment, be careful because you can incur huge losses especially if you are really bored to study and improve your skills as a trader and investor.

I do not agree that Bitcoin will be a boring investment, because the price movement of Bitcoin is very volatile, so it is interesting to analyze.
And most importantly as long as investing in Bitcoin is still profitable, it won't be boring. Many interesting things to learn from Bitcoin, even
Satoshi Nakamoto as the creator of Bitcoin became an interesting and mysterious figure, and his identity is unknown. One more thing Bitcoin
is not yet known and owned by many people, so it hasn't become common thing.

Bitcoin is always boring investment to those who are lack of patience, because if we invest in bitcoin we need to know that we need to wait and need to have more patience ,we dont know when will be the exact time of rising or falling of the bitcoin price, so if we dont have patience we maybe get bored on waiting for the very best time to sell, i believe that bitcoin is only for the people who have patience and understanding it is high on volatility so we really also need to be more smart on how to take the proper timing for us to earn.

The very first skills to learned in any investment that you'll going to take, knowing how the potential and how to secure your positions,
most of the time traders who doesn't have this qualities losses their money in a short period of time. It won't bored you out if you have
faith that your investment will grow after some time of holding it, you need to learn and keep on learning more patience  while you are

I think your statement is filled with a bunch of conjecture.  I don't think "many" people have bitcoin at all and I sure don't think that many have half of their portfolio invested inside bitcoin.  That would be foolish, especially considering bitcoin is not an investment inherently.

It was meant to be a online payment system, not some trading instrument, and most of these people wrongly assume that they are trading Bitcoin.
They are not, they mostly trade leveraged CFD's and other derivatives which is usually contracts for difference and it does not even involve one real satoshi.
If it's really Bitcoin then their transactions will have to be visible on the blockchain and in that case its a one way ticket because it will only be 'going long' since you can not short coins on the blockchain so that should tell you something about the incompatibility of the 'currency' from a market's perspective, the blockchain makes all the difference here because every transaction get's logged 'eternally' and brokers can not avoid, or manipulate it.
It baffled me to find that very little people understand this and they claim that they are trading real bitcoins and when i tell them that they are not they get angry at me and try to convince me otherwise.
I never wanted it to evolve like this so i hope that it will soon become a boring investment so that we can focus and continue on making it the best payment system  :)

Make it enjoyable investment. If you go for long time investment only by holding BTC its would be boring to you but if you circulate your BTC in different way like investment, buy, sell etc.. it would be enjoyable in your life. You have to earn benefit by investment and maximum doing this so that its more popular to everyone and me also.

Bitcoin is worthy of a long-term investment and even you will say that most/many people have held Bitcoin's already even this time, we can't tell that they could be bored in the future. It probably the market demand that will rise and people will keep on trading and investing. Things to see that they become more active than being bored.

It may be you have been loosened up because if the current situation but have to remember that Bitcoin price keeps growing and being adopted that could somewhat give away to see the market more alive than silence.

on the contrary of your belief, I believe the scarcity of bitcoin and people buying more of bitcoin is a good one for the coin as it has a limited supply. it will further increase the price of the coin and also give hugh profits to those who invested in it. I will advise you try and get at least one for yourself.

You mean boring investment in a scenario where bitcoin doesn't have much fluctuation in price, becoming a stable or devalued currency.
Then I think it can't bring the market down, instead, it would be already a consequence of the marketing going down or a lack of interest consequence by enthusiasts towards bitcoin, however the *boring investment* isn't the main cause. In a scenario like that we would need to analyze other factors before spelling any theory.

He do basically do mean out with that kind of scenario on which he do call it boring because it doesnt move like in the past showing off big spikes or some sort.

For now we do see the entire market is on a stable-like manner in terms of movement but doesnt mean that it did already become boring stuff. Market can be possibly into this kind of state which is inevitable
but doesnt mean that interest of people or community had already gone.

Im not saying that this would last forever but its too early to make conclusions or negative presumptions basing off on what we are currently seeing.

 I don't think that's true , not everyone have half of their portfolio filled with bitcoin BTC, most people prefer having their money in stable coins like Tether to avoid losses if the coin eventually drops.

Many people owning bitcoin was the main goal so as to increase its popularity and demand for it in the market thereby increasing its value because the market is driven by demand and supply and bitcoin has a limited supply while the demand for it, keeps growing as the days go by, so I don't see anything wrong with millions of people owning or investing in Bitcoin, it's actually good.

Expectation is so high for some people thinking that it always have a bubble, but situation is  so different right now since we have a big problem in terms of economic stability so we should expect that something not good will happen. but what good thing happen here is the price became stable so we should take this as positive and for us to earn we should be settled for the little profit given by little volatility so that we will not get bored waiting for something big.

Bitcoin is far becoming stable, only a few percent of the world even knows it and most of them resides in first world countries for example europe and USA and in those countries there are still plenty of people who doesn't know about digital currencies.
The moment people learns about Bitcoin is the moment we've already become wealthy gentlemen.

I believe that apart from investing your money in Bitcoin you have other Business you’re doing or maybe you’re working in an office. So, do you ever see that business as boring just because you’re not the only one that’s into that Business?

Because, I know for sure that you can’t be the only one. If it’s a restaurant, there are so many restaurants out there that you will have to be competing with, but you never say that it’s boring since that’s your means of income. That’s the same with this cryptocurrency/Bitcoin, it’s not going to get boring, it’s like a business.

Today is my 3rd year anniversary in this community and I've learned it all about here. I just want to say to you that not a single day I get bored from investing in BTC where I got so many chances to make some earnings about my holdings. You may never know but Bitcoin has completely changed my life into something better. I got some things that I never had when I haven't landed in this community. I'm very thankful God has given me some opportunity to joined this community and learned everything from here. Time and money investment in Bitcoin was worth it especially in the time of crisis.

Well, bitcoin is not an investment tool that has fast results, so it really is boring. because of that, many altcoins were developed to overcome that. people even try to make short-term investments with bitcoin, but it's hard to get profit because even though the price is volatile, but if you use a little capital, the profit won't be big. however, bitcoin is only for long-term investment, and you might get bored waiting.

Even though Bitcoin comes to mind when it comes to building each's portfolio, alts are still there for them to invest at.
I think that when everyone owns bitcoin already which we never know what year will that happen anyway, then I would see it getting adopted aside from being an investment. I don't think it would be a boring investment anymore since it has that use of being like a real life money we got today.

Boring how? As every citizen in your country are making use of your country's currency, and also investing the same with it, does it make your country's currency boring? The same applies with bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a digital currency, it was created for everyone to invest and make use of it in their daily activities. Not for a particular group or countries to make use of only. Bitcoin is a ''decentralized currency'' that aims to be legalized all over the globe

Make bitcoin investment your mental because that is what will be faced when a crash occurs but if someone becomes boring then for him this will be difficult so that they think there are benefits only in the short term then they will often call bored when the decline occurs or long awaiting the increase at the price of bitcoin.
