I noticed that Ether is bulish for the past few days. Ether highest price till date was January /Februaury 2018 when it hit ATH of $1400. Today the price of Ether is above $300 ATH since the begining of the year. Who knows the reason behind this bull taking over Ether market?

Ethereum 2.0 could be a reason for the bullish trend but not only in ethereum the whole crypto market is bullish in the past week so the long wait has come to an end since 2017...

Has it really come ro an end or this is just a trap! Btc had the must price run, before eth was the lead but suddenly btc also join the race, although there are talk about the eth 2.0 but am not sure if this is reason for this nice little pump, however, it is good to see the market this green after several months of been on bear market.

the main reason ethereum is experiencing pump of course is because the price of bitcoin is also a pump and the second reason might be because there is news if next month there is testnet v2.0

The reason could be the ETH 2.0 that its currently on testnet and rumors says its going to be on the mainnet by two weeks from now.  Its really just not sure yet what could happen next but I'm thinking this is too big to waste but why is the price didn't continue to spike. Could it be because some of the investors are waiting for its deployment first and see whether there will be bugs after it that can crash the price? Probably.

People are too much excited about ETH 2.0 for sure. It could be a good strategy to accumulate ETH at cheaper price and sell them before the new network is live as you can't be sure about the what direction the price would go after the launch. But again many people are already disappointed by no significant rise in price of bitcoin after the halving.

Even on previous bitcoin halving, the price of bitcoin started going steep high after about 6 months and not only did the bitcoin's price rose, it also lifted the price of almost every alts. This time, that trend seems to be repeating, bitcoin is increasing so are most crypto. No one can guarantee a another all time high but we are certainly moving towards larger number.

This discussion never gets old. Every year people are hunting the bullish trends for ETH and other alts. You know what, my idea is to keep the investment coming into these coins from part of my salary (real job) and save this potion for the bullish market. Pump the profits, re-invest the profit and repeat. I guess each fighting for bull and bear trends is fun and in the process can give us lot of profit.


Yes, this is the exact reason for the bullish trend of ETH. This is similar case as with the bitcoin halving, thought it has shown positive vibes in ETH probably because ETH costs you tiny as compared to the BTC and thats why everyone is spending more money on it. Surely it is the choice of the year!

We are in a bull run so it's likely that Ethereum will likely go up, there was news that Ethereum whales are moving to pump Ethereum so the news is true that Ethereum is gearing for a big pump, and the new Ethereum version is not yet release, when it is release Ethereum will pump even more.

There is no reason other than the fact that fundamentally and technically ethereum was undervalued and it seems like the trend has completely changed now and bulls will take control in coming months, I would love to see Eth regaining previous high levels towards the end of the year.

Don't tell me you haven't heard about DeFi projects success, the reason why crypto and ethereum is this bullish is DeFi i believe, huge millions of dollars entered crypto into DeFi projects days ago

I think what pushed Ether price up is the news of the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 testnet couple with the recent BTC pump which made some DEFI tokens to be swapping their tokens for Ethereum. DEFI is bullish for Ethereum long term unlike the the ICO the pumped and dumped the price when developers start dumping their tokens on the market

I bet it is tied up with ethereum 2.0, but I guess it was kinda on the periphery - by that I mean news about eth 2.0 created good chemistry on the market for eth to go with the bulls.
The catalyst was defi adoption by many companies/countries simultaneously. I hope PoS for Eth will come out soon enough before bulls leave the market

Yeah the advent of ethereum 2.0 could possibly be one of the reasons why we have some improvement in the price of ETH.  It's a very good news for the holders/traders of ETH, most especially those that got ETH at <$100 then.  Who knows, if this a sign of upcoming bull run.

maybe you have right, but ETH run uprise started before BTC, and it could be seen as initial capsule for BTC uprise above long-term resistance of $10,5k, and now both coins are looking is there enough push to go further up, or we will see correction after all

Yes Ether is bulling. Maybe the reason ETH 2.0 but also btc is moving right now.As you see when btc price goes up,maximum altcoins also rise. Last 7 days, according to this price BTC rise  19.2% & ETH 31.2%. Which is good move for ETH.  But I think think ETH huge move only for bitcoin prices Rising .

Many reasons while we're experiencing the bullish run for Ethereum. To name the few factors that are running behind it, this could be it.

• Near launching of 2.0 - this makes people want to buy more as the staking approaches
• Bitcoin is pumping - like the last bull run, bitcoin pumps then alts next

ETH recent surge is massive, and still looking very bullish. Everyone waiting for ETH 2.0 launch with great optimism, obviously it's one of the major driving force for ETH price, coupled with DEFI market is booming and ETH blockchain is used by most DEFI projects.

 I dont know if Eth is going to ATH , i am not happy with this bull because i just sold my Eth last week at 220$ and now it got to 300$+  . all the same i am contemplating whether or not to buy  now as i dont know where it is heading to  or if its dumping soon.

Coincidentally, these two seem to be happening almost at the same time as if it's been planned. These two are definitely going to pull the bull run in and they are not ready to stop. ETH might get so close to $1000 that it would surpass it. Many Defi projects are going to be in the mass.

Indeed, and we are getting paid off from a long wait. Yet, it wasn't a day to celebrate because of its surge because we are still not hitting yet to its peak. We are just getting to start and soo much for hopes that it will keep rallying in a few more days, weeks, or even for until the end of this year. But somehow we can't neglect volatility and still have a big chance we gonna fall back again surprisingly.

Well ethereum has an upgrade of ethereum 2.0 which will became defi coin it will happen on the end of July so the coin is pumping so hard because of that and the release will be on the next year of the new ethereum, I think some of the people use the smart contract of the eth to scam someone they do a networking under their smart contract so Vitalik come up on the idea of having a ethereum 2.0.

Not just the update with ETH but also with the current pump of bitcoin and of course we can’t say yet that the trend last 2017 will start to begin again right now because of uncertainties. I just though from the title of this topic Eth bullying other altcoins which is not true if ever, this is not a bull trap because we saw a great recovery from many coins/tokens. The market should continue to break the walls to make a new ATH again, let’s push the price up high again.

What else could be the best reason but the new version which is a transition from mining to staking and of course it's eventually going to happen history will tell us that after Bitcoin halving all the top coins in the market will eventually rise they will follow the price of Bitcoin, there's no surprising on the movement of the price.

there is only one reason - the pump of bitcoin. Defi projects have also played a role in increasing the price of Ethereum, but this is not the main reason. if bitcoin will go down then Ethereum too

What is clear is that this has entered a bullish trend where the whole coin is almost the same as the increase not only ETH, but in the strip there must be projects that are being developed including the release of Ethereum 2.0 in the near future as well as the DeFi project which has many successful projects in the future. so that there will be more demand in the market if this good thing keeps happening.

i wondered why everyone so wanting to pump etherieum or even bitcoin? it's so outdated!
i understand bitcoin being the pioneer but etherum i just don't understand about it, i meant smart contracts and ico is good but it's mostly for scammers thing.

Well, most likely this is because of Ethereum 2.0, and of course, manipulators and big players can start pumping the price of Ethereum at any time, maybe this is happening now, but do not forget that at any time the price of Ethereum may start dumping, so be careful.

Isnt that obvious? The ethereum 2.0 launch and upcoming migration to PoS is the reason. Adding also the defi hype could be the reason of the pump. Still far from the ATH but at some point Im sure eth could go near that zone once more or better could surpass this figure. We really dont know what could eth migration effect on the price but lets just hope for the best.

Didn't you aware about so many awareness thread for the launch of ethereum 2.0 that can happen anytime this year? If it will be dumping again and i guess you should buy that again because im also waiting for that too. I hope it will be going down again asap.

the hype is real though regardless whether it's big player or small player all people are waiting for ethereum 2.0 upgrade and thats why the price could go up rather easily. im not even surprised if eth reaches $350 at this point but no one know for sure whether that price gonna hold for long.

I don't know if it is legit or not, 32ETH is not a big joke amount of money, as I read if I am not mistaken you can only capable to

This is so true! Many people are afraid of the dump of ETH price since ETH is rising to the peak. However, holding ETH for a long-term goal is always a good choice. Especially there will be an upcoming event of launching ETH 2.0, the price of ETH will increase dramatically based on that event - I believe. ETH has been around the market long enough to prove that it's one of the best coins to hold.

I do agree with you, the reason behind the Ethereum pump could be the news about the ETH 2.0 and that's why ETH price is Consistently going to the upwards direction. As well because of the pump people are started to buying ETH.

The reason I think that ether is bullying its because its the time in my opinion . After 2018 and 2019 where most of traders were in depression I think now its the time to go back at $1200 slowly

The bull started by ETH then extended to other alts, and after that even to BTC. ETH is the reason that BTC broke and held above $10k.

That's only for individual staking. There will no doubt be pools and indeed exchanges where you can stake any amount of ETH, certainly well below the 32 threshold. But people will be buying ETH in the anticipation of staking rewards, yes, not so much to reach 32, but just to accumulate more than they have already.

I think the reason behind this is Ethereum 2.0 which is still on testnet and there is expectation of Ethereum 2.0 for going on the main net in the next few weeks. Bitcoin price also increased and it is a good sign for all crypto market.

You cannot equate a buliish run by etherum to bullying; it is not right i believe. The dominance of altcoins against bitcoin has been growing and building up since the beginning of the year, and it only reflects now; this is why more altcoins also have a bull run in their belts. Etherum 2.0 update still does not have a specific date yet; makes it hard to figure what causes etherum spike.

If you're out of the loop for Ethereum the I can say it's bullish because the ETH 2.0. The whole market of altcoin and bitcoin also enjoys the rally after that but has stopped right now.

Everyone seems to be saying the same thing as it relates to the reason for the pump of ethereum, but I believe there may be something else that's lieing below the surface. Its on record that over 3 million wallets hold over 0.1 ethereum and that's an indication that many people are joining the space. There's been an influx of ponzi using the ethereum smart contract and deceiving the masses, ponzi like forsage is making wave and I found out from ethereum gas station that forsage is the second highest gas user in the last 30 days. I know several other ponzi using the ethereum protocol like million money, lion share and several others. They may be contributing to bringing more funds to the cryptocurrency space.

Ethereum started to act bullish even before bitcoin so ETH 2.0 could be the main reason for the whole cryptocurrencies nice bump but we don't know this is really a trap or not yet because the prices are keep increasing and if it reaches some value like 15k then we can consider it as real bullish trend.

bullying ? you mean bullish not bully . the other word has a different meaning although bullying can happen here too because sometimes one coin increase and cause for its increase is when investor leaves the other coin .

We have too much expectation this year in ETH. The launch of ETH 2.0 will give so much hype and improvements to their current platform. I can't wait to see ETH network continue to success. Yes, you are right. now I sell some of my ethereum but I still hold some of my assets to get ready for a pump that can come at any time. I secured some of my money for my turn with other assets that are still growing small in the current pump.

Right now the market is good, bitcoin is up to $11k and altcoin is also green right now. But it is different from ethereum because usually ethereum will only rise slightly when the market is good. Now ethereum goes up and almost past $400 today because ethereum has an event that everyone has been waiting for ethereum 2.0

ethereum still looks good even though it has experienced a small correction when bitcoin fell a little. but ethereum can stabilize it. maybe it's true, it's all because of the effect of the updates that are ready to run.

I expect more bullish trend before and after Aug 4 when the testnet is meant to begun. Have been waiting for this bullish move especially for ethereum because it is important to the whole space. Recently I had also bought some amount of eth by following its gain and I hope it would be definitely growing in the following days because it is consistently following BTC's price.

With the bullish momentum seeing in the ethereum prices we can expect ethereum to be back at previous high prices by novemeber or december especially if the trend continues.

Exactly and i will add by saying that there are multi facade reasons for bulls in eth price both fundamentally and technically so i expect the new all time high prices un next 6 to 10 months as the scenario is super  bullish for me and hopefully it will turn out to be even better than expectations.

Not just ether, most of the Altcoins is in bullish because of the influence of bitcoin being bullish, Just earlier this day, Bitcoin hit $12k marks and ether $400, but bitcoin suddenly crashed bringing ether down too. Launching testnet I guess is not really a big deal, but it should help the mainnet to be better launching on 2021. Some people are only making hype of it, careful of bulltrap and FOMO.
