I'm a huge Bitcoin believer and just got some ETH recently to get some exposure to DeFi.

My position on ETH is not very big but I think the coin has some potential and I wanted to bet a small amount on it.

I would like to also take smaller bet directly on the best DeFi tokens directly but I'm really noob on the subject so this why I would appreciate some help.  

So which DeFi coins should I check that has the good fundamentals and a lot of growth potential + is currently undervalued in your opinion?

Also, which sites and YouTube channels have the best DeFi news coverage?

You should hold some good amount of ETH too. There is definitely more price growth to come and besides all that, It's the second biggest coin after BTC in terms of Marketcap.

If you really wanted to earn a lot, then invest a lot. The bigger ETH you have, the bigger profit you can make especially if you plan to be a daily trader instead of a long term investor. But with regards to what DeFi tokens, I think it would be much profitable if you rather trade registered and well-known promising cryptocurrencies such as ETH itself and Bitcoin of course. Why? DeFi tokens is just the same as most scam projects with tokens nowadays, and I think you must avoid investing on such especially if they had issues posted in Scam Accusations.

Avoid YouTube channels if you are asking for advice. You'll just go with what they are suggesting to you and you have no choice but to agree and later on, you'll buy what they are telling you.

By the looks of it, it seems like you want to chase the hype. I guess nearly all defi projects that was born in 2019 is a good gamble if you're talking about being undervalued, since most of them were left in the dust and suddenly gain traction. Avoid any project that recently renew their roadmap to include defi thing as most of them are garbage (only making new roadmap to chase the hype).

As for recommendation, I don't really know which one has the best fundamentals since most of them are talking about the same thing. But Stafi has been shilled a lot recently by various influencers. I'd rather provide liquidity on Uniswap instead of chasing the pump.

I think Wave is definitely better than it is suggested by its market cap, not saying it is the "best" in any sense, I wouldn't say it deserves a top 10 place neither, but a top 20 place does seem like totally worth it with all the craze it has and all the hype it has for its place.

Obviously not that many whales are interested in it for some reason which keeps it low, and the ownership doesn't do what other ownerships does and just try to be popular and market it in a way that they could gain thousands of new users by just posing with famous celebs or something however they are doing their job properly. ADA was one of the other ones I really liked but honestly they got that attention eventually and now they are quite good themselves so I can't say if they deserve any more on top of this.

Still has a relatively low market cap of ~$7.5 million, which means the potential for a x10+ is still there.

The team have secured a good number of exchange listings already, and will apparently be releasing some massive news in the coming weeks. Definitely worth watching at least.

I'd personally stay away from Ampleforth (AMPL) no matter what people say. It's been hyped to the fucking high heavens and it has absolutely no utility. Don't believe the morons that say it'll flippen any of the top 10—it absolutely wont happen.

Orion Protocol (ORN) still has some room to grow, with a low market cap and a shit ton of releases on the way. Either way, it's best to snag coins when they're low, rather than buying on a run.

I am holding some OKS tokens for a good pump. Last month they reached 0.15$ so I hope it will pump again. Also did a good short trade with Oikos yesterday. Bought on 0.39 sold on 0.48 giving a good amount of profit.
So, Oikos will be on my list. Rather than a new project that came into the market called DIA, you can look at them. They also got listed on Yahoo Finance. I think they are in an early stage. If you are looking for a long term investment then check them out.

Will suggest you not go for the Compound. They were hyped last month and got a pump.

Ditto on ORN as @BALIK mentioned above.

I also think STAKE, LEND, AAVE, and CHROMIA have some good potential. None of these (except AAVE) have a large market capitalization.

Beyond this, NEXO tokens provide a nice dividend and are doing decently.

Stay away from Plutus DeFi though, it's all hype.

May be OP affected by running Defi projects hype that's why. :D I also think OP carrying good quality coin/token. BTC and ETH are way too good crypto currency than others. ETH showing it's capability that how much bigger project is this and hope no need to explain about btc. It's not a good idea to blindly trust any upcoming defi projects in this hype time. Hope defi don't turn like ico.

I would say that right now PlutusDefi is quite undervalued, mostly because of FUD that has been created as a consequence of their recent shaky token sale. When it comes to upcoming DeFi projects, no one really knows how those will perform price wise, but there is a number of them that will be listing with sub 1 million MC, so I would include those in the "good investing opportunity" category. Projects like DeFiPie and Geeq (more of an infrastructure for DeFi) are first two that pops to my mind.

Currently there is a bounty campaign managed by Oikos that provides decentralized finances on Tron network. The market cappitalization is low, but the trading volume is pretty high so it seems that people are interested in the coin :).

Beware of Defi projects, there are too many scam o uniswap. Defi coins are been minted every minute with crasy gain and almost instant dump. Maybe you should stick to already established Defi projects and not chase new risky ones.

I think the best way here is choose a small cap project (around 3m USD is suitable with me), make your analyst and make your investment decision. But I'm not sure how long this trend will last, but it's worth the investment.

I think synthetix network has always surprised and impressed me with its performance whether it is related to platform or product development or its tokens price it just stands out but entering at the moment can be tricky so do your own analysis and maybe wait for perfect entry because this project is solid.

Presently DIA bonding curve is ongoing, I think you should do research on that DeFi project, it's use case is like that of chainlink but an decentralized Finance chainlink kinda, there is also oikos DeFi project which is fair too but DIA is better

I think you should check out BZRX (BZX Protocol), do research on it if it matches what you lookout for in a supposed good DEFI project. I use defimarketcap and defipulse to check ranking, but started using the DEFI section on Coinmarketcap last week. I'll strongly recommend you stick to ETH if you are more concerned about safety, since ETH is like the backbone for the aforementioned token and many more ERC20 DEFI tokens like PAY which newly joined the train.

Orion Protocol, BZRX, COMP, Oikos, Etc are all good DEFi projects, though you need to be very careful around new DeFi projects, Hypes are very much alive and surging too so be expecting scammers to take advantage of DeFi success

I will not suggestion a specific DeFi project also, but it is the responsibility of the OP to look at those projects and evaluate which one suits him best. But he can read these suggestions and weigh for himself the pros and cons and decide on his own.

I am not sure whether the DeFi projects are only about the hype or not, whether they will be not only popular but also worthy or not exactly. However, I do believe that ETH is a certain coin that must have. I personally will always prefer to have two options of the coins they are BTC and also ETH, with or without the existence of the DeFi projects.

Should you look for the DeFi projects into the Youtube channel? WHat is about checking them on the popular crypto trackers such as coin market cap? They have complete information about it to compare each other. I will prefer to visit the CMC for DeFi projects. However, only one thing that we must have lots is about the carefulness to search for the right DeFi programs.

DeFi projects aren't creating any fake hype, this shouldn't be compared with ICO days, DeFi projects are successful because of what they have in store, Decentralized Finance is a use case that have become useful for investors and other organizations.

I was enjoying the Defi growth, but recently, I noticed many C grade projects are claiming they are Defi; the same thing happened in ICO sales! Well, within a short time, lots of Defi coins listed on the market, many are working behind the scene, every Defi coins showed a high growth, so it is tough to suggest the undervalued Defi coins! Today I bought some DIA Defi coin because I believe this coin yet to hit Its ATH! Though it already grew 16.5x from the initial price! So, You may buy DIA, Compound, or even Maker for a sure and safe profit!

My humble opinion. i will choose ORION protocol. it is a project that aggregates trades between dex and cex exchanges in one platform. they plan to develop their project on the Elrond blockchain platform. check these two great project and you will be sure of making such an investment. you can also consider investing on swingby. another quality defi project.

Jarvis network has a pretty good development this year.  If you are interested in the Jarvis Network defi project, you can follow developments on their Twitter.  There is often great news that is presented by the Jarvis netwrok team ... I think jrt ​​is worth filling in the blanks of your bag.

Jarvis had grown so huge. its easy to have thousands of these back when its less than 2 cents but its now worth $0.14 already. its very attractive because holders are already rewarded with the 20% profit from their exchange. you still can get if you have the huge funds for investing but almost too late for someone with few to spend. the ones that keeps growing is the Synthetix Network, one wouldn't necessarily be a trader to profit from this project.

The best place to start will be on coinmarketcap, check the top DeFi projects listed there but be very careful chasing DeFi hypes for your investment. Rather invest in ETH and bitcoin and wait for your gains. The more you put in the more you gain (long term).

DeFi projects are now in the hype mode.
So be careful in jumping the bandwagon as it may not last long when investors realized that this is just another hype in the making.
If you want to invest, invest in the established ones like maybe Chainlink.
But it is up to you how you will invest on DeFi projects bu at least give a lil bit of research before sending your money to either one of them.

Some DeFi projects price is too much and their price can fall anytime.I should suggest you to invest in lower price DeFi project which has great potential.

Oikos is one of them.I had joined their bounty.And I had received some coin.Back then price was 0.04$ then it has increased to 0.14$.Now it is trading on 0.08$.And they have a tron version of uniswap which is called oikos swap.I think its right time to invest in Oikos(OKS).You can research about this project.
Another coin is DIA.Its price has increased so much from 0.90$ to 3$+.And they have a great team also.You can check it out.

But I would suggest you better to hold your ETH and BTC and enjoy the rally.

You guys should be vary about whats going on in the defi place right now, you are in big trouble if you keep investing towards defi and just focus on the defi itself and not something else. Right now, there are a ton of people who are scammers and see that people love the word defi and there are some idiots out there who invest into every single defi they find.

The word "defi" suddenly became "make money" to some people and those idiots are calling out for scammers as well, which is why I believe there is some trouble going on with the defi world, there are scammers and idiots amongst the decent people which will cause the market to collapse one day when a scammer who will disguise as a decent place will run away with tens of millions of dollars, even more.

i have ETH in my pocket and i believe it a lot; at least because u r right - defi hype will slowly increase eth rate in 2021. regarding defi investment - i prefer to choose credible dex project with options for liqudity providers

besides i'm also try to work with dex-es who offer interesting options for liquidity providers and have simple and effective executive strategy

I love the Aave project. It is a very popular and growing blockchain protocol for creating financial markets and lending. Aave is one of the largest DeFi projects with a capitalization of almost $ 1 billion and $ 1.5 billion of blocked assets in the protocol.

In any financial market fundamentals is always the driving Force behind the success of the except I am in stocks commodities forex of the crisis if the project looks solid fundamentals at the end of the day it will just be a pump-and-dump project but if it has good fundamentals backing the increase in price that is much more sustainable in the long time

It is hard to suggest someone about which DeFi is good to invest.
Because it is the responsibility of the investor himself to assess those projects.
He can always receive suggestions from everyone here, but he needs to be careful in following them.
Some have the intentions to give that project because they have vested interest also.
So it is up to him, to verify the project's capability and if it has real potential.
Better look for platforms that have working services already and check the feedback of their clients.
As most DeFis are in beta stage, you can't get much review from the public. So look for working platforms and check their deliverables.
