How do we know it’s a blank and not a peeled one?

Or is a blank one equal to a peeled one without hologram?

ICG authenticated it as a blank.  ZERO residue found.  ZERO toning difference on the reverse of the coin.  There is a 0.01% chance this was a peeled Casascius Bitnickel..... so VERY unlikely.

hmm... were there a lot of blanks Mike made? I thought the test pieces he handed out to media had 'VOID' on them?

Ahhhh okay. So I gotcha so the difference between a blank and a peeled is the toning and residue. And I’m fairly certain almost 100% sure that it’s ICGs job to determine if the coin was cleaned or not.

Thanks for the info.

IMHO I would rather take the latter if I'm choosing one of them on equal run.
Though I may be wrong.
