Title: Need Help!
Post by: CLTRADER on September 25, 2020, 08:31:16 AM
I believe that you dont really know what you dont know until someone that does know tells you. I have been involved in a investment project. I have been working with a trader that built a so called panel for private sector coin trading. i am going to keep it short, Is there such a thing, or is this a total scam?

Either I just don't have the knowledge to answer this or you weren't specific enough. By "panel for private sector coin trading", what do you mean?

If it's a "way to multiply your money fast and safe", it's a scam. I'll tell you this before you even answer my question.

If I get you correctly@OP, your said partner who is a trader built a private trading platform meaning, he/she wants to be a broker or he/she is a broker on coin trading.
Well, I'll simply say it's possible but, is the platform registered and verifiable because, there is no length a scammer wouldn't take to benefit from your ignorance.
I'll simply advice you to be certain of it's reliability, the funds on ground to manage the whole system and ensure your not involved as a partner to a scam.

..... I have been working with a trader that built a so called panel for private sector coin trading.
"Panel for private sector coin trading" is like a sophisticated version of private group for pumps and dumps.

Why need to PM while you can explain it here. It seems like you're want to promote that investment project rather than asking a question.

i am going to keep it short...
If you're 'going to keep it short', there's is no way anyone here can help you, sorry, but you'll have to provide more, that way the situation could be assessed better.
I have been working with a trader that built a so called panel for private sector coin trading.
That being said, if this trader is asking you to pay him so he can multiply your coins and give you 100× and above in ROI, you should keep your money, anything that looks too good to be true is prolly a scam.
If this trader is asking for your private keys, seed phrase or any private whatnots, do not send them.
If this trader sends you links or asks you to download random things you don't understand to better your trade, do not do that.
If this trader has told you you'll become a millionaire using this 'panel' he built for trading, you won't.
...
Feel free to PM I can get into details of what I was told
Post it here for everyone to see, it'll help others who may also be contacted in the same way you were.

Ok I am not trying to promote anything, My lack of knowledge is kind of embarrassing, I am struggling with the forum. This all started with a Chinese girl I know, She told me her father was involved with this business for quite sometime. we started on this project and I was told it was a rich mans game and she would help me along and things were going smooth at first, some profit. But then withdrawals started to get more difficult. I got frustrated with all the BS. I consulted a contact that was refered to as my Header, He informed me that this Chinese firm was tapping my lines, and skimming and hacking this so called panel. then entered this other platform called BTCtoCash, and they cleaned up this so called panel and told me there was a ton of money there to the tune of 200k, and it was mine, and there was all kinds of emails from the Chinese firm. the long and short of it is this BTCto Cash, wants money for me to get my money. and I think its all a scam.

One thing you've got yo know about scammers is that, they follow schemes and often at times, it's not all knew.
At times, one or two members here might have been approached in the same way and are experienced in the act and can clarify you and other users on how to deal with such situation.
So, just tell everyone what you were told or perhaps it's against the terms and condition of your said partner. If that be the case, you shouldn't be needing clarification from us as, we can't clarify what details you've chosen to withheld from everyone.
You've got to air it out and get suggestions/solutions.
Edit: sorry, you posted while I was typing @OP

I believe this Chinese girl you claim to know is one you met online, correct me if I'm wrong and from the little I've gathered on scammers and their schemes, anything money for money withing the range of maybe $10 and above is definitely a scam to me. I'll suggest you don't heed at all.

Ok Smart virus, They told me all i needed to do was to get a mining machine, alien ware area 51r2, programs and back up programs, and activate this withdrawal, and all that money would be sent through a link, and into my bank account. the header contact was going to do all this for me but had a massive stroke, and wasnt able to complete it, so this BTCtoCASH outfit told me for 1100 bucks they would do it for me and after i got all these funds, they would teach me how to do it myself.

<...> I was told it was a rich mans game and she would help me along and things were going smooth at first, some profit. But then withdrawals started to get more difficult.<...>
Promise of massive profits... check.
Leading in with a little bit of money.... check.
Issues with later cash withdrawals... check.

<...> this BTCto Cash, wants money for me to get my money.<...>
"Pay me to totally get more cash later"... check.

<...>get a mining machine, alien ware area 51r2, programs and back up programs, and activate this withdrawal, and all that money would be sent through a link, and into my bank account. <...>
An over complicated Rube Goldberg machine-like tech mumbo-jumbo as an explanation for how to get your cash... check.

<...> the header contact was going to do all this for me but had a massive stroke, and wasnt able to complete it <...>
Awfully convenient health issues just as your about to get your cash... check.

<...> so this BTCtoCASH outfit told me for 1100 bucks they would do it for me and after i got all these funds, they would teach me how to do it myself.
Circling back to the "Pay me to totally get more cash later"... check.

If it walks like a scam and it talks like a scam...

Just for fun: ask them if you could pay those 1100 bucks after you receive your money. Or if a trusted unbiased 3rd party could escrow the 1100 bucks until you receive the cash (obviously, don't agree to them picking the escrow).

It's just a classic ponzi scheme trick, because they're promising a good thing after you send money to them. The chinese girl or BTCtoCash only use beautiful words to trick you, while the fact they want to scam.

You need to avoid them.

While I'd personally (in the extremely wide majority of cases) advise against day trading in general (case in point no. 1 (https://faculty.haas.berkeley.edu/odean/papers%20current%20versions/justhowmuchdoindividualinvestorslose_rfs_2009.pdf), no. 2 (http://www.econ.yale.edu/~shiller/behfin/2004-04-10/barber-lee-liu-odean.pdf) and no.3 (https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/warren-buffett-howard-marks-will-ultimately-beat-day-traders-malkiel-2020-6-1029321160); see this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5216899.msg53589418#msg53589418) for one example on what to do instead), there's plenty of massive legit cryptocurrency exchanges (e.g. Bitstamp, Binance, Kraken, etc.; haven't heard about major ongoing issues in any of these, but obviously DYOR (do your own research), buyer beware and all that jazz) where you can buy / sell a variety of cryptocurrencies and be relatively safe in knowing that you'll be able to withdraw them without any advance fees.

Thanks Mprep day trading is ok with me, I have been doing it for years. Trade futures for a living, they say 90% lose 90% of their capitol within the first 90 days. Agree its not for everyone. Thanks for all of your help. I will stay away from these folks.

You have to. I've heard the same story of how those people that I've watched shared their scam story. It's like yours, there's someone that they've just known through a common friend who told them that guy was earning through sort of trading.

And you know what happened next, it's exactly the same as yours. People shouldn't trust easily with just connections until they've fully understand what, where and whom they're investing with.

Stay away from anything that seems to good to be true. Nobody will help you make money for free and nobody will be able to promise you safe and assured massive profits. Try to use your critical thinking: why do I have to send money in order to receive money? Why should I pay anything at all if they have a money-making scheme? Why have I been chosen out of literally everyone else? etc.

Posting here was a great idea. Anytime you have doubts, post on the forum again. There are so many amazing members who'd like to help you out, including myself. :)

Thank you everyone! I am glad I stopped by here. I do believe my opening statement at the beginning of this thread. You dont really know what you dont know until someone that does know shows you. I learned a long time ago when I started futures trading, you need to swallow some pride, ask some questions, and good people will answer and help you. In my own community we have what's called THT. Traders helping Traders. We dont rely on signals, or any 3rd party systems, just good old fashioned market analysis and shared info. I opened a Bitcoin chart today and have it running on one monitor and will start doing my homework. All that really got hurt in this was my pride, and that's a lot better than sending some scammer 1100 bucks. I am looking for another income stream, who knows maybe I will venture into this crypto market slowly. I know now where to come for the straight dope. Thanks again

It's okay mate. There are things that we don't know but the people that's close to us knows well about it. There's nothing wrong if you think that your pride was moved by what happened.

But the most important thing here is that you've learned from this happening. Good luck to your career and future endeavors.

Now for the next and final question, I was given a list of codes, access codes, withdrawal codes, change codes, all kinds of stuff. Even terms and conditions. I am not going to give them my hard earned money, but my mind needs closure. Is there any way to check this out safely?

This is a scam. There are no groups or anything. It is just one single person operating this scam. I am pretty much sure (almost 100% sure) I read on this forum where a "girl" he knows wanted him to get into this sort of thing. He actually ended up investing. He got profits in the beginning and things started to get complicated. And then they started to ask for "more money" if he wants to withdraw his profit. This is pure scam. Don't invest anything further. You already lost all your money i bet.

Now for the next and final question, I was given a list of codes, access codes, withdrawal codes, change codes, all kinds of stuff. Even terms and conditions. I am not going to give them my hard earned money, but my mind needs closure. Is there any way to check this out safely?
Given by who? Is it the same person? Did you tell them that you aren't interested anymore? If yes, then they are just trying to convince you by feeding you bs.

They are just trying to lure you back in and earn your trust again. I thought the explanations here are already enough and made you decide not to give them your money but what is this "mind needs closure"? It's already been established that they're trying to scam you. They are taking advantage of your ignorance on technical terms and it's a waste of time verifying whatever codes they gave you.
