There is so much on the list that can potentially rise among the platform wars. I think DOT is the newest around. But ADA is already $0.10 without even yet having any project/dapp developed on top of it. The EOS TRON and NEO are like the first to have come up with more dapps to connect their wallet. ADA I think is going to be bigger.

Looks like you just listened from others, not made your own research, the function of any coin does not matter, what ada do? it does not matter, does bch do anything? not only marketcap but also quantity matters, ada has too much quantity, the total supply is 45,000,000,000 ADA
, the highest I can imagine is only $2 which will make the total marketcap will reach at $90 bn which is I don't think possible while ether has already reached to $1000 USD. EOS and trons both having much quantity, how much the total of marketcap do you think these coins can gain? upon marketcap calculations, how much the maximum price of each coin may get?

So far, I see the coin that is most likely to keep up with Eth in the future is Tron...
I don't see the market capitalization and the number in circulation but I see that there are many crypto projects that have started using the Tron blockchain.

Binance coin I think?

It has utility and there's more usage to it that can sustain the projects that will rely on their chain. Honestly, I have other picks and there are more of them to choose from but so far it's what I think that stands out.

There are a lot of possible cryptos that might surpass the ethereum, but the most promising ones in the current time is EOS and TRON, as its system was being adopted by so many projects and it's crypto in general being used in many gambling platforms because of their transaction speed with a low transaction fees. But TBH, even DEFI ICOs might soon surpass any of them, as DEFI right now is being the trend, as it can be used not only in the crypto world, but in financial systems in general.


Binance coin is centralized, therefore if Binance would ever encounter a problem within them, it might affect the coin's price. Compared to ETH, which there are many holders and being decentralized. Therefore, there would be less to no chance of Binance coin surpassing ETH.

right now, hard to see who's gonna be the next eth. as the popularity of usage is the main issue here. there are other platforms that are promising like eos, but they lack successful projects under their network to promote their chain. if someone asked you, can you name outstanding projects in eos or in tron? can you answer immediately?
 but if eth network will not resolve the gas fee problem and other issues, definitely there will be network that will rise.

No one has the crystal ball to talk about on what would happen in the future.Nothing is assured because everything will vary on the demand.

I mostly skip such threads to comment. But here some people are saying and will say about BNB. I am not discouraging them but remember that BNB is not decentralized. It is centralized and whenever any issues happen then the price of BNB will dump. To surpass ETH, need a very potential decentralized coin which may encounter ETH. Currently, I am seeing that growing in Tron blockchain. Not sure it will surpass ETH.

EOS, TRX and BNB will be tough competitors for ETH in the future, ETH problem cannot be solved due to high transaction fees, so ETH should at least launch ETH 2.0 soon to solve that problem, but there is one other that might be the next generation of ETH with smart contracts also oracles, you can see IDENA from my signature bitcointalk profile, their community always grows big every month, go and learn

At present Defy is giving a very good performance in the market but its projects will not be able to rise very high because they do not have a good idea about the market. I don't think Etherium can easily outperform any other currency bitcoin and Ethereum are the best in the crypto market. LTC and Ripple are good currencies but can't outperform Ethereum the value of these currencies will increase in daily life and business. The market is improving further through blockchain technology.

Nothing will become the next Ethereum but if I had to take a guess Tezos and Harmony are some solid blockchain projects?

XRP is the next Ethereum IMO. XRP maintain its low-cost transaction fees that I think people had used this time to make withdrawals.
BTC, ETH, XRP...once ETH drops its position XRP takes next, it happens several times and I really think that it happens again if the situation is getting worse.

However, it is not only a thing we considered most, but we are also looking for a certain coin that could interact with the market movement and we know that XRP is being controlled and manipulated by its developers. It can have the potential or the other coins but they all different from the ETH platform.

As it stands, one can't really say. What matters is the amount of work the platforms put in to ensure their coin attain a level that it can be comparable with ethereum.at a point Bitcoin's value was worthless but due to constant work it is where it is today so as eth. Who knows. A new coin might come up tomorrow and with time and dedication it may surpass all the coins doing well now.

Not really much into altcoins but I think XRP (Ripple) or maybe EOS well this is just what came first to my mind but I don't think they will not be able to replace Ethereum since Ethereum is Ethereum they maybe their best version of themselves as of now based on their used.

everything is still a prediction but I agree with EOS or Polkadot which may be in the future become the next ETHEREUM.  EOS has a much better advantage than ETH and has also been recognized by the Chinese government while Polkadot, although still new, has great potential.  Even so, I personally believe that Ethereum cannot be shifted in its position because there are still many who need Ethereum..

I respect your opinion about it and I think what you have said is good and considerable. But in all of this, it's unlikely that we're going to see another altcoin could replace Ethereum on its ranking.

We went through the high fees yet still a lot uses it and keeps on making projects under it.

Neo has lost its chance to be a competitor with ETH and there are rumors about the huge financial support by China government. My guess is EOS but there is a probability of explosion by NEO, DOT, SNTVT if the market turns its back to ETH. Maybe DEX will bring a new competitor for established blockchains too but I doubt ETH will be replaced by competitors soon.

Many cryptocurrencies have potential to be great digital assests despite current scenario of cryptocurrencies devaluation.Some coins have potential to make quick and long term ROI.If the competition is ETH then I would suggest there is no other better option than EOS.The EOS system is free of Ethereum problems with scalability and it is ready to replace other competitive blockchains. If big giants like Amazon,Twitter would like to step in blockchain  they would definitely use EOS core.It provide great services to the users and is best alternative for investment at current price of $395 as in coming years it will rise with great surge with investments being made and large projects using its core network.So be smart and invest in what is best rather than wasting money on shitcoins available in the market.

That's  true,  Eth  still have that edge from  any possible  competitors, the gap with the success  and the support  gives this coin  a comfortable  position  to keep following  bitcoin  success  in terms  of support.

It is very difficult for one coin to become the next bitcoin or ETH. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the only coins in the cryptocurrency market and no one can replace them.
Among the coins chasing ETH I think XLM is a very good coin, it has a strong development team and it is trusted by many projects.

Probably coin now that has the potential to be next on ethereum is BNB or Binance coin. I see that there is community support and they are very active in giving updates to this coin. Nevertheless, this coin will always have potential once Binance exchange will continue operating and there are no scam reports that probably ruin their reputation that they always protected.

A next coin will be which will be rejecting or avoiding by the community, which means it is in pennies, if it is in dollars then it can not give much returns. when ETH launched, it is distributed 1 BTC =2000 ETH and 1 BTC was worth around $200 at that time which mean each coin had worth around 10 cents at that time and later there were many dumps when ETH reached to around 7 cents. Many people talk about ripple but ripple and LINK both of the coins already have given the great ROI, if you just invested $100 in xrp in the past, you have already earned too much around $100K. EOS also have given some returns and link has too.

The closiest among and had been on top of the game are TRON and EOS. The rest are platforms that weren't preferred by the developers. Its very surprising though that the prices of these tokens are not going up. TRX still is less than $0.05 but I can remember the token was worth more than $0.30 when it first started. ADA seem too late to come in, this has slow development but its price is wat higher than TRX, I don't get the picture.

It is indeed hard to beat ethereum and impossible to bear Bitcoins for any new coin but there are some really good ones out there and I have always been positive about a few coins like Ripple and yeah even Stellar is a good one and there are some other good ones but frankly speaking there are really small chances of any coin overtaking ETH in the market value in terms of market cap.

I see that USDT is ranked number three right now below ethereum at coinmarketcap.com but it is a stable coin so obviously the value is never going to change and the only possible chance for any coin to move above ETH is actually XRP only. Although I personally love ripple but the only problem I have with them is keeping the 20 coins mandatory in each address which is like burning coins and you cannot move the last 20 coins which is something really frustrating as a trader and we have to use the same address with different tags to save the 20 XRP.

The best way is to choose coins that are in the top 10. For me, Polkadot has the greatest chance to become the next Ethereum.

I am bullish for XLM, ADA and LINK to be the next Ethereum. I just don’t know about Justin Sun’s TRX and Da Hongfei’s NEO blockchain though. Ain’t sure about Polkadot and Tezos either. ICX also looks promising to me, but not sure if they would become the next Ethereum. Just my own instincts only.   

There’s a lot of competitors before that challenged the ETH platform and yet they failed so I don’t think any existing coin/tokens can replace ETH because it keep on growing as well. Maybe in the coming years, a new project can replace ETH on top, no one can tell and it will depend on how the project grows over time and for now I’ll keep my faith on ETH.

I think that there are many competitors that are happening right now, of course with the top coins that will be very useful for businesses and all their platform products but still in terms of price for me it is difficult to replace Ethereum but still competitors will still exist and become a necessity in their business world.

This factor will be used a lot on their daily basis as well as in large volume trading see their TRX, LINK and XLM coins have a strong product to compete with other top coins.

I support TRX, EOS in terms of development they are still continue upgrading and we seen many developers already use that two platform to make thier tokens. even gambling casino website they already adopt that two crypto as one of thier main coins. I am not sure if it has the potential to be the next Ethereum though because ETH is like the Bitcoin of the altcoin market where everything flows under but really I am a firm believer that we might see a good price boost in coming months and there are good stake rewards too so people can easily earn some free coins like I earn on my TRX.

Well, we are just the same. For now, -- I like the community choosing this TRX and EOS network. Even in gambling industries, these are very useful and many gambling owners choose these currency networks to operate their system. I feel that they will next to ethereum and bitcoin soon but I don't think if they will able to replace the status of ethereum since the start, ethereum was supported most ERC20 token projects. But all of these depend on the project developers, if they will not work there is no progress of course. 

You might be spot on because I heard recently even Paypal has decided to allow users on their platform to hold crypto coins and they have allowed only 4 coins fist up which include LTC among others and the price has been doing solid since then.

I believe though just because Paypal accepts LTC among other coins that might not be the only reason behind the recent surge of LTC and there must be some development news as well which I think I am missing right now. We do not need a new Ethereum or compare to ETH but there are many good coins like Cardano (ADA) out there and then there are massive tokens being made in the DeFi market as well.

I commend you for having the guts to speculate which coins might be able to replace ETH. Eos is centralised and because of this it will not be doing well against ETH as it is today anyway, so that's not on my list. Link has been doing horribly and doesn't have the network that ETH has, so its wide adoption would be limiting it to becoming the next ETH.

What I speculate the likeliest coin with the highest odds are is Polkadot; its adoption skyrocketed and its endorsement by the leader exchanges mean that this could potentially be big but whether is going to pull it off or not is a different matter. What do you guys think about this?

For my ends, I'd never think that there is next ETH to appear and replace its capability because there is nothing that could cope up with its place.

I can remember before someone asking "What is the next Bitcoin?" The reality is that there is no way to find another coin that replaces another. They have differences, uniqueness each coin and therefore, I couldn't imagine another coin that replaces ETH, the same thing that EOS or XLM that many are commended. Coz I know that only ETH exist in the crypto space, the value of this platform can't be compared to another IMO.

For any reason no need of thinking about replacement of ethereum by something else. Ethereum has been a big thing to our cryptocurrency market, we can see two coin with same vision which might get replaced. With ethereum it isn't applicable, because it is the base for development.

A big cryptocurrency always gets big dump just like ETH, I don't know at which price it was trading at that time but I know people say that ETH was pumping too much and suddenly it touch its ATL to 10 cents around but the recovery was fast, it took around a week to recover, it happen when bitcoin got another pump around $832 otherwise it was priced around $474

I could not remember when ethereum was dumped to 10 cents and not sure at those times, bitcoin was trading around $832 followed by a pump from $474. Are you sure that you are talking about the current market prices ? Or do I miss anything here? Because I have seen some people are using different notions like to denote $13,100, some people do write like $13.1k whereas some other people do mention the same like $13k1

Still, I agree with the you like big dump is common for all the cryptocurrency regardless of it is big or small. Because we cannot convince all the investors to be holding all the times hence big dumps happen time to time and small dumps are always happening in all markets.

Chainlink can be called. Although it cannot be compared with Eth and called the “next Ethereum”, LINK is a great surprise for thousands. Its popularity is amazing, and the start was the Chainlink triumph. It would be never a mistake if we get this altcoin in our portfolios.

It's hard to decide and choose which altcoin will be the next to ethereum, if we are going to mention, there are plenty of them that ha potential. How about the LTC, XRP, EOS, or even the XRP. They are long-time coins that already existed, if the developer will be developed well all of these coins, there are potential benefits in the market.

well I totally agree that BNB has the potential to beat ethereum but I believe the journey will not be easy because the platform on which Binance exchange has to have further developments to create a new program that can increase the use of BNB on its exchanges because if there is not like that it will make BNB even more hard to beat ethereum.

I think know one can predict the next coin that will be elevated in binance due to its price because I'm trying to reason that coins dominates each other or be more influential due to total numbers of people who purchase and transact with the coin, saying that a particular coin will rise after another coin I thinks its by personal prediction because their is no evidence or  prove that indicates that these coin is next to rise.

I still prefer to hold BNB, but I don't mind to hold EOS (if EOS price can increase). But I don't think that EOS can rise so high as ethereum price because EOS needs more support if the price increases like ethereum. I feel that BNB, which can increase higher and maybe the price, can pass the litecoin and dash price in the future. But as we know, the crypto market is unpredicted, so we don't know which coin can become the next of ethereum. Maybe you can start to invest in the top twenty coin list on the market because the coin list will have a bigger chance of increasing.

It is very difficult to answer at this question, because I do not see a single worthy altcoin that could catch up with Ethereum, but of course there are several options and I think that at the moment the main contender for Ethereum is most likely Binance Coin and I think in the future Binance Coin will be the third most popular in the cryptocurrency market.

Ethereum 2.0 will become next Ethereum. Despite the fact that there are dozens of good project with faster blockchain and similar functions only eth have such a user base and community trust, so the users will stay in it's network and will go to it's updated network once they release.

Maybe Polkadot, but there is someone who says DOT is HYPE and the pump is too big. But I believe Polkadot can replace Ethereum's position, especially if it fails in 2.0 later. So far "Ethereum The king alt", it's really hard to beat, but there is still some hope for a potential Top coin. and if ETH 2.0 is a success, there is no hope for the other coins to beat.  ::)

Well aside from bitcoin and ethereum which no doubt was a good cryptocoin i have an eye also on Binance. I bet this would be the next ethereum. Well not so competitive to ethereum but binance has a good project also. Also the team behind the project worked hard to prove the worth of this crypto and no doubt that they justify by means of good feedback of the users and even in the means of trading and investment.

In my opinion, when it comes to price factors, many other coins can surpass Ethereum but in terms of trading volume, community support, and daily use, it is difficult for other coins to beat ethereum especially since ethereum continues to innovate and experience an increase in price and popularity.

Polkadot has been making some wave lately and I'm beginning to think that the project has something unique to offer the industry. Its only been a few months since the project made her rounds in the space and so much has been gained. The project may surprise us when they spend more time in the industry.

There will be no next ethereum, ethereum is ethereum and another new smartcontract platform has its own specification. You can't say EOS will replace ethereum because it will never happen as ethereum is standing on its own protocols.

Polkadot is over priced and if you ever think that polkadot will ever hit $100 then you maybe wrong. Just imagine that the current marketcaps of polkadot are around $4,083,770,483, the maximum could be around $40 billion so the maximum price of polkadot could be no more than $47 comparing to the current price $4.79 USD

BNB is certainly a good coin for both traders and investors. But it still remains a Binance exchange coin, which allows you to earn passive income on the BNB token staking. And the goal of Ethereum was to create decentralized services based on the blockchain.

For me It maybe take a long way but this most likely project is Conflux, China's first public blockchain. They use Tree graph, one of the very few new projects to use a PoW algorithm, but with high TPS and integrated smart contract. When ETH change to PoS I don't know where its miners will go to.

Indeed. Every cryptocurrency has its purpose like BNB that it can be used for trading with cryptocurrencies and pay for fees in the Binance exchange. While ETH, it can also be used for trading like other cryptocurrencies and can be used to create Dapps based on blockchain technology. So BNB is not suitable to become the next Ethereum, but it is a good coin.

Ethereum is the basis of all and what other altcoins has depends on because of their simplicity. It's not easy to run a blockchain, the cost, Update and security is another thing to deal with.

The next coin to replace ETHEREUM has been a frequent question in recent years since Ethereum launched its smart contract.
Ethereum provides the infrastructure for projects and is doing very well right now. But what they can't foresee is the explosion of smart contracts when people use Ethereum too much. That leads to absurdly high transaction costs and the congestion of the Ethereum network.

Another problem for ethereum is that they created 'Solidity'. It's a powerful language but incredibly confusing and difficult to keep developers productive.
We already have NEO, EOS, TRX, BINANCE SMART CHAIN, WAVES that are on their way and looking for ways to compete with Ethereum but they can't. Recently appeared CARDANO, SOLANA, POLKADOT and LAMDEN. These are blockchains that allow for the creation of new and high-speed smart contracts.

I appreciate the aforementioned blockchains because they are better than Ethereum but their language for making smart contracts is quite difficult. Only LAMDEN uses Python.

The most popular, easiest to learn a programming language by far is Python. So LAMDEN will be able to attract more developers as they allow for faster code generation. The next problem I see LAMDEN can do is when developers get 90% Tx when their DAPPs are used. They will not need to generate any tokens because the income from DAPP transaction costs is huge.

I think if there is no next ethereum but if ethereum can't solve the fee problem maybe BNB and TRON will be tough competitors in the future. but let's see what will happen to ethereum after 2.0

There are many competitors out there that has a chance to become the next Ethereum but the only problem that they are facing right now are the support from the investors meaning they are behind to volume and price.

But if I were to give my output XRP, BNB and Chainlink have the bigger chances to be the next Ethereum especially if they can widen their marketing and the big whales will support them.

The next Ethereum will be Ethereum. How do I know? Just look at the current crazy gas fee of ETH yet no other coins has deemed it fit to overtake ETH or marshal out programmes to topple ETH. I think the smart contract thing of ETH has given it an edge on others. A lot of tokens have put their projects on hold and in wait for an upgrade to ETH 2.0 version. That shows how popular in demand ETH has become, even when the fees are highly discouraging and alarming.

The perfect answer is Ethereum 2.0  ;D, this upgrade will fix what many are complaining about, so why looking or seeking for another Ethereum wannabe? Ethereum can't be replaced, let that sink into you, no matter how many smart contract projects get released or build Ethereum can't be replaced.

We already have ETH. It has a lot of projects on it and big fan base. I dont think that other project will replace it

Normally I would have said no other coin can replace Ethereum because from the look of things, the coin is not backing down anytime soon, and other coins which tried to beat it are yet to achieve that goal. But let's assume it is possible maybe in the future, I would say ADA, this is because ADA have a good community and their team are one of the active in this space who keeps improving their services. ADA also have good trading volume which we are aware of, therefore with this few points and many more, I think if situation are met, there might a chance it will be the next Ethereum.

There are many coins created to compete with ethereum in the smart contract field, but currently what I think is a potential competitor is BNB coin. With the support of large exchangers, I think BNB coin can be a great alternative as an investment other than ethereum

BNB currently has 2 networks running, Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain. Binance Smart Chain is plagiarism from ETH, from smart contracts to NFTs, and most importantly the costs for gas in this network are much lower than ETH.

I actually think of USDT when we're talking fast growth and a thriving community. But the concept is similar to ethereum is binance and even bnb can be more because they have more innovative ideas in my opinion. I also think that some other cryptos like XRP, ADA, WAVE TRON and some other top coins have the same goals as ethereum, but it is a bit strange if the question is "the next" because it refers more to the word "replace", whereas we see that ethereum is currently developing something more.

No coin is capable, sorry, ethereum has its own logo that can never be replaced, we have many smart contract projects and few new ones keep showing up, like blockchain 5.0 (Relictum Pro) or seele project but new projects keep using ERC20 smart contract more than others, the question is why?

in my opinion at the moment it is very difficult to replace Ethereum, because many people still believe to investing in Ethereum, even though Ripple has replaced Ethereum position, but it was only for a while and now Ethereum has returned to its position again, so I'm sure nothing can replace Ethereum position for now.

Tezos may replace the ethereum in the coming years since its fees are not as expensive as ethereum. It will be developed over time and will be among the top 5 coins very easily.

I do not think that any project will be able to become the next ethereum or replace it. I agree that there are many high potential projects which willmake a difference in the world especially crypto market in coming years. Some of the projects i like include polkadot, neo, waves, stellar, eos and ada. All these projects are developing high tech crypto ecosystem that will make a difference in the market.

It is extremely difficult to pick one project for now because all these new projects are skewed in distribution. A project with fairest distribution and strong community have a chance. I think BNB have a chance, people talk about its centralised nature but with time it could Decentralised and become a strong competitor for Ethereum

I don't think we are yet to have any potential coins to replace Ethereum and please don't take it other way around as its just my opinion and not a prediction. I think most of the altcoins lacks what's required to replace Ethereum because you might see numerous projects with unmatched technologies but most of them fail once they hit the floor. I cannot even think of any coin which can possibly replace Ethereum.

I think ripple can be the next since it is the next in position to etheruem. Ripple has been on and off from the second and I think the major challenge is a centralized focus of xrp. Etheruem no doubt has many features that makes it stronger .

I have no thinking next those coin touch ETH because ETH always best coin with very much popular. If eth 2.0 will completely upgrade then one more step eth growing. So still in my mind there has no candidate a coin can might be cross eth.

I often encounter questions similar to this.  Who is next bitcoin, ETH, XLM etc.  But I think there is no such thing as next.  Because the first one will still be a pioneer and each token / coins has its own purpose why was it made.

It depends on the factors we are comparing. Is it price? or market capitalization? or scalability for other Dapps?Even if the answers are yes for all those factors, I see only one coin which can have the potential to reach this level. This coin is BNB.

My opinion is BNB because their system is similar then BNB has a backup of one of the largest exchanges in the world, namely Binance, whereas there are many other coins but not as potential as BNB.

Investors now do not have to have Ether to participate in a project, now it can be purchased using EOS or Tron.  Their speed beats Eth at a low fee. Currently, Eth’s fees are too expensive so alternatives to using the Tron and EOS platforms are much in demand by crypto projects. But if Eth can handle this case, maybe eth will always excel to maintain his position.

So far to my knowledge the blockchain technology that is owned by ethereum is very good and can be used by many people and even many companies but if you want to try to replace the Ethereum blockchain then the strongest candidate is indeed on the Binance Chain because until now only platform exchanges have developed. that can make their own blockchain.

I strongly think one of the strongest altcoin to be compare with has the power to become the next Ethereum is the Binance coin seeing several similarities that these two altcoins have there is really a huge potential that binance coin can really overcome and become the next top rank and king of altcoins in the market.

For me, I chose Maker Coin because its price is higher than Ethereum and I believe Maker Coin will catch up with Ethereum and shift its position to the top 5 Altcoins.

In my opinion, TRON has the potential to take place of ETHEREUM as per its high trading volume and Dapp functionality. But the most important part that gives TRON an extra benefit is the lowest transaction fee on any type of transaction includes smart contract transactions. Also many new projects and Dapp launching on the TRON blockchain which increased the demand for TRON in the crypto market.

Ethereum looks to be working on to be the new next ethereum itself. It is working to shed its skin and try to be something else it is not right now, starting with proof of stake obviously but with many more things, I think it would look amazing and would bring in a lot of profit.

Also there is enough money to be made from everything in the crypto world, do not look for copy cat type of coins, if a project tells you that they are aiming to replace ethereum one day, they are either lying or they are idiots, you could become the 22nd biggest coin and still make insane amount of return, all you need to do is focus on growing and keep growing and getting better. Next-whatever is never the solution, it will not make you money, be the new brand from zero and make a name without any resemblance and you will be great.

there is no coin as ETH killer. Many claimed it but failed. After BTC, only ETH has the biggest and most loyal community and developer. But to answer your question, a coin which can go closer to ETH is Polkadot - DOT. I can see a good potential in it though i will take some years as most of the products and projects of DOT are still not live.

Eth 2.0 and Libra coin are my next favorites because of high popularity they have the capability to become the next Eth, The world's second largest crypto by total market capitalisation is still one of the most power assets in world. However if the market needs some changes on replacement for this then I am sure these two are my top pick.

I think this could be the new Avalanche token, this is an incredibly promising project that has very successfully sold tokens, and was immediately listed for binance. The project has every chance of becoming better than Ethereum.

Yes, there is no reason why any coin should over take ETH although that said I feel like USDT is growing quite quickly and the market cap is pretty big right now and the 24-hour volume is also good which makes it the only possible competitor to ETH but then it is a stable coin so the value will always remain same and no real opportunity to invest.

There are some good coins like Tron & Ripple but they are not even close to touching ETH anytime soon and I am not sure if they are even going to survive for many years although I like Tron a lot but that's my own estimation and I have been proven again in past.

Ripple is a shit in my opinions, preffer cardano with better development. but i agree that no one can beat ethereum for now. almost all the projects in this space using ethereum as their main platform

I think Binance will become the next Ethereum.
Since Binance create Binance Smart Chain, many new project use their Smart Chain. And this Smart Chain is look like Ethereum(maybe).

At this time, ethereum in a good shape. Most of the altcoin are ERC-20 (ethereum based) and for this reason ethereum is more powerful and strong in crypto market. I think it will take more time to make another one like ethereum.

People really want to be early bird for every big coin but they are too late so they are looking for the next big thing that could be like that but they are missing out the fact that ETH didn't become like this over night, it was years of work that made it this far ahead, which means if you want the next ETH you are probably a bit too late already for it anyway, not too late but just a bit.

I see in the process of building the market up to now, there are many projects that show that they are direct competitors to ETH such as EOS, TRON, NEO, ADA, DOT, ... but there are no coins that can surpass via ETH. The thing with BNB is as far as I know, they can only be used to reduce fees for the trades on the exchange so really not expecting a huge growth anytime soon or even ever in future. Yes the token will maintain it's value without a doubt but there is no real reason for BNB to take big leap.

That is true and trx runs at 0 transaction fees but just because it has no transaction fees does not make it a valuable coin because there must be some use case for the token and there should be some good scalable model behind them. Also being a POS token I haven't got into deep but there must be a way to maintain the token value for long time.

From My experience Binance Coin (BNB) can become next Ethereum .  BNB has it's own smart chain network like Ethereum. Binance is already the worlds’ top exchange with a user base that continues to grow .Using this massive influence, Binance is attempting to leverage their popularity in order to get people to migrate from Ethereum over to Binance Chain.

There are many projects in the market that are like a shadow of ethereum network like tron, neo, xlm, eos, ada etc but the fact remains that no one has been able to really compete with ethereum network which is like the king of the ring in this sector at the moment. Ethereum is like the king of Altcoins, its dominance is quite strong because it is widely known.

But there are still some potential projects as you mentioned. Besides that, I think BNB is quite potential. Moreover, binance support is very dominating. We know that the binance ecosystem is pretty good right now. Many innovations have made it a favourite exchange, so many traders take advantage of discounts with BNB. Recent developments regarding the Binance Chain are quite good, it could also increase BNB's usefulness in fundraising for crypto projects that launch tokens through Binance Launchpad.
A pretty good strategy to strengthen the ecosystem, which is why I say BNB as a strong candidate.

I think the usdt is the coin that can replace ethereum even if its a stable coin it proved over the years its usefulness because of  the fact that the price is stable and you can find all pears in the different exchanges so you can buy any token with usdt and not to forget people support and the volume of daily transactions.

There's always project that will tried to overtake BTC and ETH trying to bring something out from this market, for now it's still far to be seen as traders and investors still supporting ETH most likely. Some tokens have potential but beating Ethereum would be hard since the utilization of Ethereum has reached another thing like DeFi. I think BNB (Binance) is very possible because as I know several bounty projects are implementing BEP20, maybe in the past few months Ethereum has had problems with quite expensive transaction fees, making several bounty projects using BEP20 which is very light and the cost is not that expensive, in terms of costs, if Ethereum still has a high fee it is likely that all projects will use BEP20, because there is no repair fee system on the transaction Ethereum ..

To become popular, that coin needs to be trusted and used regularly by the developer community. It is they who create value in the cryptocurrency market. Although Ethereum's Solidity is pretty lousy, it's being used by programmers to create DAPPs. Other blockchains are using difficult languages ​​to use like RUST, Haskell, Java, C ... Any coin can't be the next Ethereum in a few years. If Ethereum isn't enough, then we could use another blockchain. Like recently Ethereum transaction costs reached almost 10 USD! The next update of Ethereum helps with low transaction cost, so why do we have to trust a new blockchain when Ethereum will have everything?

ADA if I have to choose one among the 5 you mention. EOS is almost close to becoming a giant but still not ranking up on the top 10.  ADA manages to be on top 10 without yet having some dapps but just its own technology on the line.

Every coin is different and I don't think we can compare one coin to another. Ethereum is Ethereum and cannot be compared to other coins. no matter who will be the next ethereum, for sure i believe that Ethereum altcoins are real and profitable for investment.

Frankly speaking I thought some Defi coins would have become higher than BTC and ETH but chief is still chief without shaking. BTC and ETH gas proven to the strongest but am looking closely at some old coins like Eos, xlm and some other old coins to do massively well. Let's see 2021.

ADA price has been dumped after the recent uptrend on BTC price, maybe XML has a chance. EOS also looks like a strong alternative but there is no reason to believe any mentioned altcoin will easily pass the ETH for the next decade. A polkadot project that established in 2017 has a chance but the speculators play a dirty game over price. The ETH price will not go higher than $600 if the BTC price can't cross the $16000 tag, maybe absolute news can change this prediction but this is my personal view on the current crypto market.

I think the Ethereum candidate is Ethereum 2.0 and ETH will be replaced by Ethereum 2.0. Only Ethereum 2.0 can handle all the transactions easily. BNB can't be as popular as now without Binance exchange. Tron transaction cost is very low but still so many things are left to development.

Maybe  I Binance Smart Chain and Polkadot platform considering that many new projects are developing their platforms on the infrastructure and there's so much more development to come.

That being said, Ethereum will always retain its top spot as most developers are comfortable building their DApps on it. In my opinion, Stakenet (XSN) is a promising coin that in the long term could be the next ETH, For reasons that I will say below

- Their community has daily activities on discord and telegram which means you always can ask your questions and have their full support.
- Their Roadmap is amazing, especially their DEX (Decentralized Exchange) which you can experience the instant transactions with the lowest fee on the market due to the Lightning Network + Raiden Network and ATOMIC SWAP that make a bridge between BTC, ETH and other ERC20 tokens to trade each coin and tokens in a second, this is great scalability for this coin.
at this stage of the crypto market, Stakenet (XSN) could be a profitable investment for the long term.

I don't think any of them could compete with Ethereum, especially with DEFI hype , lost of them used Ethereum blockchain and it gathered volume and reputation for ETH , and if ETH 2 , runs these days, I don't think any coin could compete with it for a long time .

ETH is not the quintessence of the crypto industry, there will be many more projects that will offer something new and more attractive. Today, ETH has an advantage, most tokens are based on its blockchain, but this does not mean that it is perfect, it is not so. Time will put everything in its place.

No, Ethereum is only one and no coin will match its success. many projects that have been tried but none have succeeded in competing with ethereum. in my opinion it is difficult for other coins to follow eth because as we know eth has become the best altcoin because its development continues to increase and there are so many projects that work with eth, but it could be that other coins follow eth because here anything can happen and in my opinion those who will follow eth are XLM or ADA.

ChainLink I guess because it had been doing good as well when it comes to market. It keeps growing despite the previous months of being on all time low recorded for bitcoin market. However, ETH is still good and I think it can't be surpassed by any just random altcoins in the market. Among other altcoins that has been growing from all time low, the ETH is one also of a good altcoin that has been recovering compared to other altcoins.

In my opinion Waves has great potential to match Ethereum due to the competence and development of the project. When analyzing the graphics and their exchange we can say that Waves is independent of Bitcoin and has enough strength to work only with fiat. However there is a long way for Waves from the aspect of adhesion to the point of market solidity and if that happens we will see Waves at the top.

You are not getting things straight here friend, USDT is stable coin you said that yourself but is ethereum a stable coin too? Ethereum is a smart contract platform and it's highly volatile unlike USDT, the difference between this two is very big, they should never be put head to head

USDT is a stable coin in which the price of USDT will not increase its value like ETH. ETH is a strong coin after Bitcoin which many people have strong expectations towards ETH compared to USDT, in long term ETH holders will get many benefits due to because many platforms are implementing ETH block chain.

USDT is indeed a stable coin not like ETH, the value of usdt will not increase nor decrease easily not like ETH. BNB, XRP, EOS and etc, there are lots of coins that are volatile in terms of value, it is either it will pump or dump. Many projects have already copied ethereum since 2015, we have NEO, EOS and others, these projects did very well and they get to top 10 on coinmarketcap too but upon all the competitors and rivals none did well or better than ethereum, forget hoping for another Ethereum

DOT was speculated to be the next ethereum but I feel ethereum has a great adoption already and we just might not get another ethereum. Near is suggested to have sth big, but I sold off already.

I'm bad at predictions and speculations so I do not have any idea on what altcoins will have similarities in terms of price growth of the Ethereum, I just trading and investing in altcoins that I have analyze through technical analysis. In terms of investing and trading altcoins, I prefer to put your money in tokens that I have high volume because these are tokens that have high possibility of making new highs and also survive a long bear market. I do not suggest to buy coin just because it have low market cap and cheap price. I still prefer to buy popular altcoins like BNB , XRP and LTC. For me there is no alts can beat ethereum anymore because its market cap is continuing to increase and there is a recent news that the Ethreum 2.0 will be release.

There are tons of copy paste ideas from ethereum. I dont think there will be another ethereum like coin that offers such things that will actually follow ethereums support and volumes.

I personally think DOT, LINK, BNB, are the next Ethereum.
 Looking at their total supply, market volume, epoch-making development, it seems that they will rule in cryptocurrency in the near future.

There are many candidates coin that can be like Ethereum and one of these are Nem, Waves, Eos, Trx, and Xlm aside from this I don't see other that has the same as like what Ethereum did. But of course we need to wait this result about next into Ethereum. But all these are just my own observation that are possible to happen in the future.

For me I will pick Solana, yes its only #96 in CoinMarketCap but I saw great potential about this project and I will predict it will replace Ethereum soon. with its connection and strong foundation it will reach the top sooner. Ethereum? The best altcoin in the crypto space, how possibly can any coin replace it when the team are not taking chances and are also working hard to ensure the continuous growth of the platform. How can another possibly replace it when it is obvious that the number of users of the blockchain is much, when it is also obvious that the number of new projects using its services are much not to talk of old projects. I think we need to understand that the Ethereum blockchain is not like most blockchains that offers one claim or the other with no tangible proof, also we should remember that Ethereum upgrade is coming soon, maybe with that, we can understand that with the activeness of the team, that no blockchain can possibly replace that of Ethereum nor any coin take its place.

I think Ethereum will stay number two for some time. It has problems, but they're not so crucial to go down fast.

The main cause of GAS and transactions problem within ethereum blockchain is the fact that there's too many people using it for various projects and smart contracts. If people happens to move out to other coin like EOS and the likes, it will make the blockchain not crowded again which means we come back at page 1 where eth blockchain doesnt have gas and transaction problem, thats my opinion.

The game is only just starting, saying we currently have competitors doesnt begin to describe the situation that is about to follow. Its all going to be about the ease of creating dApps on the platform that makes the project successful IMO.

Cardano, Tezos and Avalanche are promising.
We need to make sure to select coins similar to BTC (low inflation) and ETH (high utilisation) if we want to make profitable investments.
And we need to pick a coin supporting DeFi. DeFi will grow very large, when institutional investors join (like BTC).

I think there are no coins on ether at Altcoin yet. But now Binance has the power to compete with coins. Many projects are currently being launched and succeeding in the platform form of Binance Coin.

I think it is too early to make any coin candidate to replace ethereum in the future, because as has happened before, many say that chainlink and polkadot might become serious competitors for ethereum but the fact is that their dominance does not last long. In short time, others altcoin is hard to surpass Ethereum but for long term is possible, this is depending on the how development of Ethereum, if the project really solid to offer best product to the crypto community by release Ethereum 2.0 as soon as possible, so Ethereum keep become number 1 altcoin, but if others project offer better one product, so alot of crypto community will move to anothers, and the popularity of ETH can be decrease.

I think Binance coin already next Ethereum. Binance coin already in third position in the coinmarketcap. And the popularity scale it's also be a third popular coin in the cryptocurrencies market.

Its BNB, you see its use case and how wide it already adopted among people is already enough for it to be able to compete with  ethereum, many people keep saying that BNB is rather centralized but when we have something like defi and blockchain based games I doubt many people gonna care about that. One more strong altcoin is DOT to my mind. Now Polkadot only starts its work, but judging from projects that are going to appear there, it must be a successful platform.

BSC definitely became a good thing all by itself, so I have to say that Binance exchange is not the reason why BSC is doing good, and why BNB is doing good has something to do with BSC as well. Do we have absolutely no contact with binance exchange at all during this increase? Of course there were, I mean the bull run means that there are many other people who started trading and the ones that traded before ended up trading even more, so that means binance exchange did matter.

However something that didn't existed at all ended up being billions of dollars worth, that type of innovation ended up being the biggest thing in the improvement on BNB. I do agree, there are now promising projects that can compete with eth technology. However, it is the adoption that they are at par with ETH. Many crypto users still prefer eth because of popularity. But who knows, it takes time for a specific project to be known in this industry. If they are sincere, they can continue their development and people will notice if they are really giving good services.

You should look into UBT,  Ubt has a lot potential to be adopted for enterprise, they already have coca cola , servicenow, microsoft and many others that still not announced. I do believe ubt have so much room for grow and in terms of trading volume and community support will increasing by the time the product is out which is i think will be early next year. I think that NEAR protocol has the potential to become the next ETH. NEAR is already everything that ETH 2.0 has promised to be. NEAR is fast, cheap, there is no learning curve as a developer coming from Ehtereum, and it has such an amazing community behind it. Not to mention that NEAR is backed by top VC’s like Coinbase and Pantera Capital just to name a couple. NEAR is built to stay, it’s built to last and it’s ready for mass adoption. My favorite project right now is NEAR for all these reasons, but I’m trying to find more projects that I can fall in love with like I did NEAR so if you have any please share them with me. Solana hathor and matic will able to compete with ethereum in network scalability. They have less network for each transaction that be main problem in market. Many traders complain about uniswap fee , and now some of them migrate to other platform . Solana have cheapest network fee if compared with bsc or eth and in near time it will be main platform in crypto market.

ADA already has a very good market but some investors don't like the development of Cardano. most of the community asks what is the real product of the Cardano project development.
ADA may have a chance but it's still too small for now. in fact the biggest opportunity I believe closer is BNB. I am sure that later there will be parallels between these two assets.

BNB is an extraordinary asset. but its ability to be on par with ethereum so far is still very far away.

litecoin hasn't capability to be next ethreum but it possible for Cardano . and also there are alot new project build their own blokchain to take ethereum market share. For now the closest coin to next eth is bnb.  Bnb became the third popular coin after they decided to have their own blockchain.  We know the usage on the binance exchange is the biggest.  so they can easily get their customers.  It is proven by many ico projects that use the binance platform.

I don't think so. There are many other altcoins competing with ethereum right now, but I don't think any of them can compete with ethereum. binance for example, since last year trying to compete with ethereum but I see binance is still not ready to compete even though the platform has been widely used in project development. Simply put, ethereum is an altcoin that is still in high demand and the platform is constantly being developed.

I think it is hard to say that to there is some altcoin becoming the next ethereum, although it is possible but in my thoughts i have some several tokens would be the next ethereum. In terms of volume, i think xrp ripple. But in some top altcoins, possibly EOS, ADA and BNB could possibly follow the trace of ethereum coin. We wouldn't know but there is also possibility of some not popular altcoin could rise someday and be like ethereum.

BNB easily gets exposure from their service, and may people already trusted them as a platform, that's why their exchange is also big and seeing other similar coins i think BNB could easily be the most potential coin for replacing ETH, because their BSC also so popular among many new projects even before many people already switched to BSC because ETH gas was too high, and I think it's fair to say that oly BNB have the potential.

I will say no coin, just as no coin will become the next Bitcoin, the reason is simple, every coin in this space have their unique features, attributes and use case, and thus they keep working in line with that. Ethereum is the first altcoin with its own blockchain, and a lot of all these other blockchains are still taking a leaf from the Ethereum blockchain, the question is why? But the answer is simple too, you can only copy from someone who is better and know what he is doing, thus they know Ethereum is better; now why comparing any other to it when they already copied from it.
Another one to Look at is Binance, till date their launchpad is still the best, at least a good return is expected when investors participate in it, but for others, can same be said about them?
Therefore, I will still maintain my stand that no other altcoin or blockchain is better than that of Ethereum neither will there be another or next Ethereum, moreover Ethereum team are always working, the London hard fork is done, ETH 2.0 on the way. When you also talk about DeFi, how many are on the Ethereum blockchain and why are they still there? Because they know that what they want is already on Ethereum.

I am agreed with what your opinion, i keep an eye on cardano and BNB especially, i see huge amount of holders on that two candidates, i hope it will blow this year when we see Bitcoin at $100k level.

Since the birth of ETH and the breakout of altcoins. There have been countless predictions that there will be a toppling it like ADA, EOS,TRX, DOT, BNB... but the results show that it is just a vague guess as ETH still shows efficiency and improvements attached. ETH 2.0 has arrived, only the sharding combo is delayed until 2022. BNB is showing a major breakout recently, but it won't be able to topple ETH, at least for the foreseeable future. That will never happen. ETH will remain the steel wall for the altcoin world

Ada is a good coin for some but I don't think that it's going to be the next Ethereum but yeah, it's a maybe. There are those other projects that have smart contract and it's going to be hard to distinguish if they really are going to be as good as Ethereum.

Isn't this an endless open race because everything is open source? When you say that Polkadot replaces Ethereum, maybe Ethereum re-replaces Polkadot later on? What if Ethereum acknowledges that Polkadot developed a certain superior technology and hence just adopts it if possible and the tech is agnostic? To etherium classic since it has 100m market cap and it can sky same as eth. Other markets caps are 8b + like ravencoin cap or other different coin has bigger market than ethereum classic. Do Etherium classic can be next etherium soon.

I'm studying 2 big coins namely BNB and Litecoin.
these two coins seem to have great potential, BNB has an exchange while litecoin is an old coin whose price is always high.

I don't think there is any coin that will become the next Etehreum. It's very hard to overcome the ethereum. Ethereum is just not only a coin, it is a supercomputer. Most of the altcoins are using Ethereum smart contracts to create their coin. It has great community support, huge liquidity, all of the exchange-listed ethereum at their exchange, Its has a great real-life use case.

However, If there is any alternative to ethereum, that will be TRON in my point of view. It has great community support, a very active team, a good market cap, huge liquidity at an exchange, a very low cost to make a transaction, and it's very fast. It has own blockchain and peoples also using this blockchain a lot.

I also believe in the two coins you mentioned. in fact, I've had it in my bag for a long time.

This is not about whether you think Ethereum is strong or not, this is about the fact that Ethereum is completely different from BNB. The two are following very different consensus models and by now you should know that consensus models are the key elements of any cryptocurrency. Ethereum is putting a lot of emphasis on broad decentralization, while BNB accepts a much more centralized architecture but is much faster and cheaper than Ethereum. There are always offsets and this specific offsets makes two coins which operate in a similar area two very different coins.

DOT, ADA, TRX speculate it will be the next ethereum but I personally feel ethereum already has good adoption and I can say Ethereum's tough competitors are BinanceSmartChain and MATIC. BSC and MATIC have similarities in transaction fees which are relatively cheap compared to ETH Platform fees but I don't think that they are the next ethereum.

Their are many coins and blockchain which is showing promising recentely we had seen huge growth in solana token and why not it can be next ETH  The positive point of solana is fess is low and community is getting trusting in the project alot of project is also developing in Solana and not only solana their is Alot of blockchain like Matic TRX which is still underated and platform is growing each day and more importantly it is solving the ETH gas fees issue which help many users to buy their token easily

If you think about it, Ethereum was created primarily to serve developed countries, while Cardano's main program is to serve developing countries. Because Cardano is a complete blockchain network, it is used for both transactions and applications.

I'm strongly believe Solana" SOL" will become next ETH

it could be a very big possibility but I find it very difficult and takes a very long time for BNB to be able to replace ETH because of the community factor and ETH users are much higher when compared to BNB because of that support I think both BNB or other Altcoins are very hard to be able to replace ETH.

For me the most potential altcoin that can be the next ethereum in the future is either Solana or polygon knowing that they really have a good progress and development.

Without any doubt for me the next ethereum will be cardano especially now that the developers are making its one chain.

I have doubt about the meaning of "next Ethereum". Is it mean coin that will be ranked next to Ethereum or coin that will replace Ethereum? If this means that the coin that will replace Ethereum, then I would say that no coin has been created yet that will replace Ethereum.

By the looks of it I see that Cardano is mimicking to perfection Ethereum and it is also adding more capabilities.I see in daily news that the developers of this coin keep adding new functionalities to this crypto.It is going really well until now and most probably this is the strongest contender in terms of development that can be the next Ethereum,the only difference is a huge one though,while Ethereum can still be mined this coin can't and this can be a big limitation in the future for the price of Cardano to reach as high as Ethereum.

Cardano with the development and updates really attracts more interested investors, the chance is really high for this coin

Currently, Binance coin is playing similar role as Ethereum. Many projects already have smart contracts on Binance platform as it has cheaper transaction fees compared with Ethereum. Coins like Tron, Cardano, Solana, etc. perform similar functions. Currently, Ethereum is still leading in the number of smart contracts and dapps. However, in the near future, Cardano will likely be a good contender with Ethereum because of its peculiar and unique features - low energy, high speed of transaction, already proof-of-stake, etc. Already, Cardano is 3rd at Coinmarketcap. I choose Cardano to be the next Ethereum.

I think no coin can be the next Ethereum, because Ethereum is the best and will remain in 2nd position on coinmarketcap, so I'm sure no coin can beat Ethereum until whenever, but if you ask which coin can compete with Ethereum, then of course the answer is BNB, because in my opinion BNB is the toughest rival of Ethereum, but still BNB will never beat Ethereum or become the next Ethereum.

Polkadot has good chances to overcome Ethereum in the nearest few years I think. Solana also looks great now. But of course Ethereum is very strong project and its community is too huge.
