Well, thats good news, not just in the market, But in the entirety, I hope that the Covid19 vaccine from "Pfizer and BioNTech" will be made available to everyone a soon as possible so that many nations can avail and buy it because the Covid19 pandemic has been inducing more damages as it prolonged not just in the economic aspect but also to the human lives as well.

if this has been properly tested then this vaccine is the most beautiful gift at the end of this year.  But what worries me is the long-term effect it will likely have when using this vaccine.  I hope WHO and also the US agree with this vaccine because whatever they (WHO & US) say is still a benchmark..

I don't think this impacts Bitcoin in any way. It is still good news. We must still wait for peer reviews before it is available to the public but hopefully it will not be much longer since people don't want to go back into lockdown and businesses want to fully go back to normal.

I agree with you. This vaccine should pass the clinical trial before it will distribute to the market to secure the safety of health of everyone. It's really a good news and hoping that it will not take any longer to be distributed in every country. But I don't think so if it has a direct impact in bitcoin. Maybe if bitcoin will be use as payment method for that vaccine.

As you know, this is the economic virus. If you let people live with such epidemics for another year, the economy would have really collapsed before you were excited :)

Hopefully all these vaccines will be effective, though it should really be tested and see whether there are side effects. It's a good news for the entire market as the companies who are affected by these Pandemic like some restaurants, tourism can recover after these Pandemic. I have already heard numerous news saying that there is already a vaccine being tested for the past few months since this pandemic started, and this doesn't excite me anymore. Yes, I'm hopeful that sooner, there will be a vaccine so that everything will go back to normal and we go outside without having a fear of being infected, but it seems like people are just getting used to living with this virus that some are not even afraid anymore. But an effect on bitcoin, I don't think there will be significant or huge differences at all even after the completion of the vaccine.

These are interim results the final results are yet to be published but they are way above the FDA approval mark which wants atleast 50% efficacy from any vaccine. But yes it takes 28 days from start of vaccination for a person to become completely immune towards Covid-19. But I think Johnson's and Johnson's vaccine is much much better and as that vaccine has proven to have the least reactions and it's a one shot vaccine. I just thought of a possible outcome with this. I believe these large companies are monopolizing the possible solution to end the new normal. This is actually true. Another thing : Many counties have started giving the vaccination out to the teachers and the medical workers but not publishing the news till they have a better idea of how good it would be to produce it on a mass scale. Even my teaches who are regular doctors have successfully enrolled to get the vaccination and even working on seeing if the booster dose is needed. This is a positive news and will mean pandemic will be over in a year or so.

It is great news if its true but really I have almost lost hope for a vaccine because I heard earlier that Russia has developed a vaccine but that news vanished in thin air suddenly and there are almost 10-15 claims that they have made the vaccine but till now we don't have one in real.

If the vaccine is effective one, surely it will reduce the impact of corona on Economy. The economic activities will boost up in a short period. So the money flow in the world economy will be increased. Whenever the money flow had increased, surely it increase the people investment and further increase the bitcoin price. Why do you think that something will happen to bitcoin in this case? I think it's just neutral situation for bitcoin but great for us. Btw at some point, it's still risky to use their vaccines. For example, some of Pfizer's drugs (that I won't name) seemed to be safe but some researches found that they prevent the formation of new brain synapses and affect grey matter in brain.
But economics is falling and our health is directly linked to economics too, we really need something effective right now and still, that's great news.

Go Pfizer!  That there is one of the companies I've liked for some time, and I figured they'd have a hand in the vaccine creation somehow.  Hopefully what the news is reporting is accurate, though.  It's the media I'm not a fan of.

I am very happy with the positive news regarding the COVID19 vaccine, which was finally 90% effective in preventing infection
with the COVID19 virus. Although it is not yet known what side effects will occur from the vaccine in the long term, at least this is
very good progress. It could be said that this good news made a positive reaction to the crypto market, it looks like the Bitcoin price
continues to increase, I hope Bitcoin can really return to its all time high price.

I would not be in a hurry with such loud statements, and there was a short-term reaction in the form of a drop in the price. Let's wait a little longer, because this market is quite specific and the reaction of major players may occur with some delay. And as for the rise of traditional markets, there is a strong feeling that the market was waiting for good news and therefore there was such a reaction. Now, it's also noteworthy why BTC got dropped by some %s against USD(T), and that's because Dollar has the chance to get stronger with this news and if that happens, I believe it'll work in a contradictory manner for BTC and we may see (our already reached) ~$16k to be the high for this year and the rally stops. The RAPS vaccine tracker is still saying that the Phase III trials for the vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech is still ongoing. Therefore I would assume that the full results are not yet out. The formalities such as certification will start only after the full results are analyzed. But if the effectiveness is more than 90%, it is going to be more than enough. Normally antiviral vaccines are considered effective if they have a success rate of more than 70%.

Our local stock market have a positive growth after a news that been released about the effective covid 19 vaccine. There are now a lot of companies that interested to make investment again because the fear that they are feeling are now been replaced by confidence because of the vaccine. I hope the vaccine will be 100% finished and I hope that it will be safe in humans like us. The study should be completed at the 1st quarter of the year and for sure many country will avail it and the lives of the people will go normal like before. 

So now the effectiveness of the vaccine is confirmed, are they going to make it available in the market? The pandemic has been spreading for almost a year, more than 1.27 million lives have been lost and the general population doesn't have access to an effective vaccine yet. I don't understand the point in maiking the vaccine available, after the pandemic is controlled. It is needed right now, not after 6 months.

Also, this 90% success rate may be premature because it’s actually about incomplete results, and it’s really not clear to me why they posted this other than inflating their stock prices. Even if they get a manufacturing license, they could only produce about 50 million doses by the end of this year, and each vaccine will first go to the most vulnerable groups, meaning health workers, police, the military, people over 60 and so on.

Perhaps it is still not tested enough. Or scientists wait till it be 100% effective, because no one wants to be in that 10%.
The 90% success result is based only on 43,538 tests. World population is almost 8 billion. 43k out of 8 billion is not much. Also it was said that some individuals took two dozes of vaccine. And dont forget that the virus mutates also. What cures today, could be ineffective in two months.

Does it really means that the vaccine can eliminate corona virus because since pharmacist, biochemist and medical laboratory professionals has been carrying our research analysis concerning corona virus vaccine and know one has been confirmed active to eliminate the bond of the disease and besides the activeness of the virus has be subsides in society, So if the vaccine has been manifactured and confirmed to be 85% sure activeness, it should be release to the mass in case of some countries who are passing through the so called corona virus disease.

I read about this and I think it would be a huge increase in the market as they are just the ones that actually passed phase III of testing and it is this effective. How about that 10% though? Personally, I think this news will negatively affect bitcoin in a short term. Why? From my perspective, bitcoin is considered a safe haven by many investors. This action can make the price of bitcoin goes down a little bit, or which I can call a correction. If you are a holder, this is not a big concern because it will not impact your portfolio in a significant way. But if you are a margin trader, carefully think before making a long position

This is a good thing for the economy right now because the people don't get hopeless and some of them are getting courage that the society may back to normal again. In terms of the price of the bitcoin I'm not quite sure but here are some of my speculations.

1. The bitcoin may increase because the economy now backs to normal and some of them are making now investment with different assets such as the bitcoin and other coins.

2. Nothing happens because the market is still volatile even the virus comes and the price of the coin pumps and dumps.

90% effective. It means that there’s a 10% chance that there are no guarantees of our immunity after injecting this vaccine onto our bodies. And also, they are not sure how long we would be immune to this virus after the vaccine. I would highly consider if it’s 99.9% effective and not 90%. Just my opinion.

indeed every human body has a different immune condition so that is what makes it not 100% usable for all humans because of this difference, vaccines have a long term meaning not everyone in the world is quickly given a vaccine, because if more than 14 days then covid 19 still has the potential to spread and what gets worse is that the corona can mutate against this vaccine so that they are immune and that will be terrible, hopefully it doesn't happen like that.

What I know is that generally vaccine development takes 8 to 10 years and the possibility of a vaccine can be made faster, at least it takes between 12-18 months and this is a realistic calculation and based on optimism according to James Cutrell.  But if you look at the recently announced vaccines Pfizer and BioNTech even less than a year of development, can this really convince us it is really effective?  Hopefully this is real good news, and hopefully there's no conspiracy behind this.  Because the conclusion I can draw during this pandemic is that the biggest threat to the world today is not a general gun war but a conspiracy of biological weapons.

I believe it's more about politcs and different agenda, they didn't care much aboout seasonal flu which took millions each year, pneumonia etc. No vaccine for cancer ever developed (or mayb it did but not known to the public)

This Corona strain could change at any point, and we still have not been able to identify the Pfizer vaccine that would antibiotic the new strain.  That's why I think everyone should get used to living with it.  If you depend on vaccines too much, it will lead to a paralyzed economy and potentially a crisis.

Businessmen will always think of things that will generate a large amount of money, even more, when they are already in that line of business. It will take a really long time for everyone to get the vaccine, i am assuming a couple of years to get the vaccine for everyone around the world and may be it might take more time, the vaccine is said to be having 90% efficiency but what about the side effects, i have not seen anything regarding that.

This will be a very big hit for Pfizer, developing an effective vaccine to supply the world that's suffering from a highly contagious virus. BUT! the main concern here is, does this vaccine really prevents us from contracting the virus? Or does this vaccine don't harm our system in the long run?
Yes, I get it Pfizer is a very huge biopharmaceutical company. I just remember another huge pharmaceutical company that developed a vaccine for dengue called Dengvaxia that didn't go well that killed innocent children.

On the other hand, I don't think this would make a huge impact in Bitcoin's price. Btc has been set to make a bullrun as there has a lot of bullish predictions for the post halving with or without the pandemic. 

This is indeed good news because we've been waiting this vaccine to finally cure those infected and we can lead a normal life again.

But hopefully they can produce enough to give for each country that needed it, rich or poor countries must be given equally even there's a corresponding price to have it.

On the other side, I think it can have a positive impact to the market. Some people are already aware of crypto existence thus if we return back to normal its the start for new investors to invest without worrying about the virus.

I read a question and answer article on this Pfizer and BioNtech vaccine and they said 40,000 people were tested. The company has said they will only be able to produce vaccines for 15 to 20 million people for now and that’s about 30/40 million vaccines. So, it’s important that other producers get in and start testing and releasing their own vaccines as long as it’s going to be as effective as this Pfizer vaccine, and also having none or minor side effects.

I do not know when it will happen but I can tell you that sociology did played a big role in the markets recently, there were tons of airline industry stocks that went up the day this news was published, in reality airline industry is still in trouble and vaccine is still not applied to everyone so nothing changed today, but the stocks did moved up today just in case.

Remember that we are still having the pandemic but bitcoin market is going strong or having a good market lately. Why is that so? This is the good thing that we can assess on that bitcoin has independent to other economic growth or its opposite. The economy will soon recover with the introduction of vaccines, but there is no vaccine that is 100% effective and safe.  Even though there are several vaccine findings that have been said to be 90%, for me personally it is still doubtful because in less than a year they have claimed the percentage they said.  Is it really safe?  does it really have no side effects?  I hope it's real, not just a breath of fresh air.

That is a bright news and it is printed on the New York Times so it must be accurate and have some credibility because there are countless articles about vaccines being made and tested but the truth is that none is effective so far, I really hope this one is though.

As much as I love price rise and Bitcoins in particular, I do not think there is any impact of a vaccine being tested or found on the prices of Bitcoins because seriously the pandemic's impact has already taken it's toll earlier this year around March but we all know how nicely and quickly we bounced back and now even taking leap.

Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems to me that there is no direct connection between the presentation of a new vaccine for Covid-19 and the rise in the price of bitcoins.

There is also a information saying that the date of these vaccines are solid wherein the they follow all of the safety protocols and it is safe for all types of ethnic and bloodline. The active cases are continuing to increase worldwide and this vaccine is the key to reverse the growth of the virus. These vaccines have positive effect in different type of economies like in our local economy where jobs are now getting back and a lot of businesses are now recovering.

The success rate, which was 90% with the latest research, became 95%.  The company official said that he could prepare the vaccines towards the end of December.  I think there is still not enough time for side effects.  I hope it doesn't cause any bad side effects.

We are long waiting for this vaccine. Covid 19 had influenced the economy a lot.It had affected the US economy also. My local news page posted a news about covid-19 vaccine cost. They said its price will be around 15,50 EUR for Europe (spoke about Pfizer).

Its good to hear that there are already a vaccine for COVID-19 but the really problem is that how long does these vaccine be distributed in every each country. The distribution will take too long I believe due to different cases. As of now bitcoin have been improved its value and will continue to grow due to pandemic. The digital currencies as of today's  are at most used on every transaction and soon people will gonna used to it due to its convenience so Bitcoin price will still be popular.

There is no doubt, that found the vaccine is good news. But we heard before many more vaccines. In this pandemic period, the world is suffering badly especially economically. So an effective vaccine is a must now time. we hope one day we will recover the situation.

I was scrolling through mostly all the responses regarding this news and i would like to introduce the company Pfizer, Viagra is created by Pfizer which is now commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction and they developed the drug initially for heart patients and i would say they need to change that pitch and made some changes and made a medicine for erectile dysfunction  :D.

I am sure, the third party distributors will get this price much higher than how much they will be purchasing from moderna or pfizer. But they said that the problem of refrigeration with pfizer's vaccine (need to be refrigerated at -70 to -80C) may be a hard challenge in transport aspect. Unlike the Moderna's vaccine which can be stored at 2-8degC. But lucky for those whose government will fund their vaccination.

Just as the news of this epidemic is said to be just a 'fraud', and maybe as well as likely unilateral claims made by many drug companies, their main goal is only to increase the value of shares. I welcome this news but also remain skeptical.

Ohh come on, put away your tinfoil hat. Pfizer will be very shortly filing for an emergency approval for their vaccine at the FDA. These processes take time. They have to proof that their vaccine is both safe with no unwanted side effects and  that it's efficient and does what it is intended for. Usually these admission procedures for new drugs may take almost a year but in this special case with an emergency use approval the whole process won't take that long for sure.

Any good news are also good for the market.
I still remember when there is this rumors of the new vaccine back months ago, the pharma stocks here in our country just went up massively on that day and it lasted for I think 2 days. Same happened as being shown in the chart.

I don't know TBH what will be the effect of this to the price of Bitcoin but if you will see the current price action of it, the price is slowly increasing and trying to reach the $19,000 price (currently at $18,853 at coingecko).

Now that Trump is out of office, I guess all Americans will believe that covid-19 is real shit despite that man in white house insisting that covid-19 wouldn't affect its economy. But even with months away before public taste, do you really think most people will believe to go for this vaccination? We don't know what will happen to the bitcoin once the vaccine for the covid will release to the different part of the worlds. But maybe we are not affective on this but we should be thankful of what is happening now because we have already cure but the problem is if it's really works because they have still possibility will not works but good job to the creator of that because of this is answer to our problems..

It is a real shame for any government who ask money for covid vaccine because they put lockdowns and people lost their jobs and earnings so at least have enough mercy and make the vaccine available for everyone at free of cost. If the government doesn't even have the treasure to afford vaccine for their people which costs $20 each and for bulk it should be cheap I believe, they have no right to even stand as candidates for elections next time.

I think they are going to release the vaccine once tested and they will charge money but if you ask me if they should charge money or not, my answer would be a clear NO because the government for each state should be responsible to cover the cost.

As for Bitcoin, having found the cure/vaccine have no direct impact on digital market I guess. Because Bitcoins movement doesn't depend on the vaccine nor anyone else. Many countries are working on Vaccine for Covid-19 and few have some great achievements as well, they are trying it on several volunteers and having some success ratio as well. I genuinely do not think there is going to be any kind of side effect since they have tested it countless times by now and the cost of the vaccine is not too high so everyone can afford it. I am only concerned about the quantity and supply of the vaccine because the supply is going to take a long time because  heard USA will be given the vaccine first and then it will be transported to other counties and might take some extra months for all this process to complete.

Three different vaccines have undergone Phase 3 trials, with more than 90% efficiency (BNT162 from Pfizer/BioNTech, mRNA-1273 from Moderna and Sputnik V from the Gamaleya Research Institute). Now how can you say that the effectiveness is not proven? And do you have any proof regarding this "long term side effects"? I am sure that when the vaccine becomes available, you will be the first in line to purchase it.

Even though it was not 100% effective but I hope that this vaccine will help to stop the spreading of covid virus so that we can go back to our normal life again. And hoping that every country will be able to use the vaccine for the sake of everyone all over the world.
