My advice is you can put your $ 2000 in Ethereum, Ethereum still has the potential to go up high,
maybe it will touch $ 800 in December, or if you are still in doubt buy a low cap Altcoin with a good background,
you can search on Coinmarketcap, STBU, HEX, VEX, YOUC  thats a good project in low cap

Great to see that people still want to invest into cryptos at the moment. Do you already own bitcoins? If so going straight for alt coins is a good idea. If you don't own any bitcoins yet I would consider investing atleast a small part of the 20k into bitcoins. There are decent chances that bitcoins could rise even higher. As for alt coins I would recommend ETH.

Altcoins aren't at high price yet, bitcoin is the only coin that I feel unsafe about because it's over 18000$ already, many top altcoins only recovers 30% of their value and not close to their old ATH yet so it's a lot better to invest in altcoins right now instead of Bitcoin, go for top altcoins like Chainlink, Stratis, BNB, CRV, Harmony etc

Here are few reasons I invest in ETH, BCH and XRP among other top altcoins

1. Ethereum still have the reason to surge over 600$ because of its upcoming 2.0 upgrade which will give holders the staking feature

2. Few altcoins like BCH and XRP have been target by third party institutions for investment and payment solution, I believe their value will be big

3. If you can take risks I woul suggest diversity, allow bitcoin in your portfolio, don't go all in on altcoins only and once bitcoin reach a new ATH you can pull your ROI and invest in altcoin, bitcoin still have some power left

Ethereum. But the safest choice would be putting that for bitcoin. XRP, ETH, and other altcoins are pumping but that's risky for people like you that don't know where to invest their $2k.
Bitcoin hasn't reached the full potential all-time high and in that case, you can still invest that $2k wholly into it. But it seems that you don't have any reason to change that decision of pledging with altcoins for that amount.

ethereum, XRP, and XLM look very promising at the moment. if this price development continues to increase, there is a possibility that owning one of the 3 coins will make a considerable profit. For ethereum, currently the increase is over 30%, while XRP is 130%, and XLM is 100%, and there is still a big possibility to increase. this source i saw on coinmarketcap.

You should choose the altcoins that were not getting pumped but this is a very difficult task to did.
I will try to divide both into the 1k to be invested in bitcoin when bitcoin gets a correction and the rest to spread into some promising altcoins.
The only best time for you to get into the market when there will be a correction to the price for crypto. If you are entering the market this time and it's too risky for you.

Low marketcap coins can bring the highest ROI but they are pretty riskier than top 10 altcoins, and presently none of this low market cap coins have shown any bullish correction yet, this altcoin season might be different from 2017 so don't rush into low marketcap coins yet

If I have $2k right now I won't put all of my money in just only one coin because nowadays many cryptocurrency are pumping and dumping to make good returns on our investment we should always divide our money in different cryptocurrency

This is a good idea of yours that you have decided to put your $2,000 into altcoins rather than Bitcoin. But, you should choose some selective altcoins for this investment. I suggest you invest in Ethereum and Tron because these two yet to remain for more growth.

Guys, if you have $2k today, where do you put it? Which altcoins? Seems altcoins already rallied high and i dont want to be caught at the high.
I will put it on bitcoin and altcoin. I will make two parts of that money: $1k in bitcoin and $1k in an altcoin.

We have $1k in altcoin, and we have so many potential altcoins that can increase. Maybe it's confusing to select which altcoin we can buy and hold for a while.

But I will use $750 in ethereum, $150 in BNB, and the rest of the money I will use to invest in litecoin. But I don't want to invest today because the altcoin now increased slightly, and I think that I need more time to see the altcoin downtrend before buy.

But investing in bitcoin will be the right choice as the bitcoin price does not increase yet, so we have more time to buy at a low price. But still, be careful with the bitcoin price movement because the price can get down anytime or it will increase suddenly.

Altcoins are now showing very good growth against bitcoin and the dollar. And this is a very good decision to invest in altcoins. But do not forget that now the growth of the cryptocurrency price is approaching its maximum values, which will be followed by a dump. Use a stop loss and buy yourself, in addition to altcoins, some bitcoin.

Why should altcoins? do you have some bitcoins? because I think you like wasting opportunities if you do not take advantage of your capital to invest in bitcoin.
However, if you prefer to invest in altcoins then XRP and XLM are good options to make a profit, but you should be careful to monitor their price movements.

It seems you have low knowledge about crypto market and charts, I will like to share few fact with you, bitcoin is still very bullish and there is still time to get in right now, altcoins are already getting prepared so you can split your money and invest in both bitcoin and altcoins but mind you top altcoins are more better and safer, you will make good ROI going for top altcoins

Xrp and ethereum that top crypto currency.

First XRP because of snapshot that will happen this December 12 you will get free tokens that day that you can sold after you recieve it. There is also speculation
that because of this airdrop it can pull the price which is already happening now, no idea if it's too late to buy now.

ETH: becasue of the release of ethereum 2.0 that will happen this first week of December it can make hype in the project for moving to POS.

No idea about other altcoin you can check other peoples opinions in your thread to see other good altcoins to buy .

Now there is a huge hype around Ethereum due to the release of Ethereum 2.0 and the price of Ethereum is growing throughout 2020, and therefore I am sure that Ethereum will soon reach the 1k$ mark and possibly even more, but most likely there will be a Ethereum price correction before the 1k$ mark and exactly when there will be a Ethereum price correction then it will be necessary to invest in Ethereum.

if I have $2k today, then altcoin that I will buy for investment is :
1. ETH (50% - $1k)
2. CTSI (10% - $200)
3. YOUC (25% - $500)
4. LINK (5% - $100)
5. UBT (10% - $200)
I chose to buy ETH for 50% from $ 2000, because I believe the price of ETH will definitely increase very high and of course it will give me a very big profit in the future.

Some say that Ethereum has failed but I think it isn't. The ETH network is good and fast as I have also tested it when I was doing a transfer of ETH from my wallet to other ETH wallet. The cost for transaction fee is also low not like before that transacting a five dollar equivalent to ETH will also deduct a transaction fee of more than five dollars worth of eth. The reason was because of the defi projects that are using the eth network making it the service of the miners more demanding and becoming expensive. However, after the upgrade the cost of tranaction became lesser and ideal. Thanks to the ETH 2.0 upgrade.

My advice is to invest in etherum, it's still not too late if you buy it at current prices. I believe that Ethereum can break through to $ 700- $ 800 by the end of the year. some other altcoins you might consider BNB, DOT and LTC. this is just my advice.

In my opinion, if we get to see another altcoin season, the winners of the previous one will be the winners this time again. These are coins that have big communities and survived for a long time now.

In other words: XRP, VeChain, Cardano, Monero.

If you want some that can still pump a bit more due to low marketcap, look into, for example, Siacoin or Syscoin.

I think you should invest when their price where low and not at this point or you are only putting yourself in trouble if the price in the market where fall in unexpected way. Nowadays we seen how far the other Altcoins gain their price it has so much hype especially for the coins that hasn't been increasing its price for a long time. Now we are experiencing bull run where every people has their own way to invest in this green market. If you are lucky, you can still ride at this point and earn yourself a decent amount of income with that investment.

Many altcoins like eth, xlm, xrp, ada, dot are already pumped but Tron (TRX) is yet to pump. It is one of the top coins and high potentiality coin for future. I like to invest in TRX now. It can go any time $0.05 or above. Just need to invest and hold few days.

XRP has pumped up to $ 1 in the last week and maybe you can put some of your money with XRP, ETH has shown significant price movements and it's still not too late to buy it, BNB, LTC are pumping more than 50% and it's also worth investing in. . and some other coins which you can choose from the top 20 on the CMC market. also prioritizing Tezos, EOS, LINK and WAVES.

getting into investing at a moment like this is really uncomfortable. it is nice to see a market that is moving so well. but when just following the market and not having a good analysis we can actually get caught up in an investment which might take a very long time when the market suddenly crashes.

You have a huge amount of money and to consider the risk of investment loss then you can put 50% in ethereum, 20% BinanceCoin, 10% litecoin, TRX 10%, 10% EOS. I think the investment percentage is quite good considering the green market situation, so you still have the opportunity to buy at the current price.

- Komodo (KMD);
- Zcash (ZEC);

- BEAM.
But I would do it right now and sell it gradually when the right price is reached x2-x3...

If I were you I would likely invest it in ETH of course. Ethereum is where I am comfortable with, it was a promising coin and if the ETH 2.0 will be released there's a chance for it to grow even more.
Though there are still several coins that are worthy to invest with like XRP, BNB, Chainlink, and more. These coins are pretty profitable as well. By the way, XRP seems now having momentum right now, take this as an advantage to purchase since I heard that it was going to have a fork.

First thing first, considering the high rise of most altcoins today, one will need to understand the possible risks of going for any now. However, with everything being correct, I think the recent growth of the market will most likely center on major altcoins and that Is currently happening, in this case, in my own opinion, going for Ethereum is the best bet because as it is the top altcoin in the crypto market, every possible attention will be on it and more growth will stem from it. Not only that, its upcoming upgrade is another reason why most people will go for it. In addition, altcoins like BNB can also be looked into.
Nevertheless, I think holding BTC is also a good idea, that is, if it were to be me, 40% Bitcoin, 40% Ethereum and 20% BNB.

I observe 2 days it seems that the Altcoins are starting to go up very quickly. Perhaps in December, I believe there will be a strong price increase to Bitcoin and the Altcoins will increase strongly. We should buy the top 10 altcoins. So you should spend 2000 USD to buy the top 10 Altcoins is the most reasonable.

Right now? Depends if you invest fiat or if you have to sell your BTC. If you have to sell BTC, just don't! Otherwise I would put my money into the following projects:

Dusk network (DUSK)
Aergo (AERGO)
Unibright (UBT)
Utrust (UTK)

All are relatively unpumped and the first two on that list also let you stake your tokens, giving you some steady passive income.

I would divide this amount between 3 altcoins. Ethereum. There is an ETH 2.0 soon and many good news can help us to reach all time high and even get higher. Binance Coin. Binance is the biggest exchnage and there is no way. When cryptomarket grows, then Binance growth, then demand on BNB is high and price goes higher. Third coin is eGLD. It`s really digital gold, more gold than Bitcoin. Project is still in early stage of development, but soon there will be a lot of updates and coin can give very good profit

I will not put in altcoin since this is a bull market for bitcoin. In the case I should choose some altcoins I will balance at least 75% established project like ETH Waves Dash Monero. The remaining part could be invested in some promising DeFi application like Chainlink and LoopRing.

I cannot think of any good altcoin right now but Ethereum, if you are going to invest your $2000 don't go beyond the top 10 and make Ethereum 50% of the portfolio that you are going to allocate, and the rest choose your pick in the top 10, we all know that Ethereum is going to staking, it's still a good decision if you want to go all out with Ethereum.

Buy XRP now because still good after down and back again to higher price, but I can't responsibility when you loss later if Ripple back to lower price, just recheck with Ripple coin now and you can track that coin before trading or only watching. I think have correction last hour but Ripple now back again to higher price and choose on your hand I just give the information about good coin to buy and trade, now depend with your choose to buy or not because look too risk.

If I had $ 2,000 to invest at the moment, I would refer to the list of altcoins and their growth history. Assuming there is a cyclicality in the crypto market, we can see that every four years the market peaks in cryptocurrency prices. The last peak was in 2017, adding four years we get 2021. And so we can assume that exactly 2021 will be a new peak in the growth of prices for cryptocurrencies. Next, we go and see which altcoins were growing in 2017 and what their peak prices were, and also see how much they cost now. This is how you can try choosing altcoins for investment now.

Always put your money where it is worth investing. Follow market prices and investors who have a high reputation so there is no doubt that you are investing. You can choose a minimum of the top 10 coins/tokens. ETH in my opinion has both the rating potential and the potential for even higher price increases going forward.

There's new projects you might want to invest on but just do thorough research before investing. For the safer side I'll but ETH. Its value will still go up. Just be sure to monitor its price so as to know when to convert to usdt before ETH value crashes down.

At this time of coins rallies, its better to be neutral, don't caught up on pump and dumps. But if you really want to hold for long term, I will advise you to start with Bitcoin.
Do you know why Btc is safe haven? Market is a circle and I believe the time for the end of this rallies are imminent and altcoins will likely suffer the most because they haven't be making huge moves.

When Btc makes a - 20% correction, there is probability of altcoins doing x2 of Btc which is bad for ones portfolio.

Well, there are series of altcoins that are still undervalue which will be good for investment. DOGCOIN will be my recommendation if you ask my opinion, but this isn't an investment advise, ensure to do more research before invest. Also, KAVA coin should be another consideration for anyone who want to give a try for current undervalue altcoins in the market. These two altcoins should be carefully look into for possible future price spike.

If you want to invest, Try using a stop loss strategy, you can buy some good coins, like Ethereum, XRP, XLM, and don't forget to save a little of your money to buy bitcoin.

you can share $ 2k to the 4 coin.  ATH UNI $ 15, current UNI price is only $ 3. Of course it is still very cheap and big The opportunity will soon past $ 5. The current market position is very easy to take profits as it was with ETH.

$ 2000 is quite a lot for me, you can buy Ripple or Tron,
because $ 2000 will give you more profit on top projects,
especially now is the time for altcoins to show their performance, hopefully you have profit.

everything, 2000 the amount is small, it is better to have a greater risk and earn more, the main thing is to choose the right altcoins that will soon have updates and they are in the top, this will be at least a guarantee of profit not lower than bitcoin.

buy Bitcoin only, and your target must be at $ 20k,
or if Bitcoin can break $ 20k then the next target is $ 50k,
while the price of Bitcoin is still above $ 19k this is good to buy.

Check the chart first, the price is too high to start investing. If I were the op, I wouldn't be rushing into investing now, or I'd ignore altcoins as an investment plan. Because if you compare the charts, I think bitcoin is safer from a significant drop.

Personally for me since Bitcoin was on bullish trend it's always better to hold it but since the thread was asking about altcoin, There are some good Altcoin for now, First Ethereum with only need around 1-2 Weeks to break $500 and today it's around $600, It will continue for around $700-$800 and one of the Good alternative Beside Bitcoin, After that Arweave, XRP and ADA which have an good trend lately. The last one it's not really an Advice but maybe you can check CAKE (PancakeSwap), It's almost stable for around 3 Weeks on $0,25-$0,3 and it was good option if you try your luck to get some profits from market movement and Passive Income (300% APY).

Of course, now ethereum is one of the most promising for the price growth of cryptocurrencies.  Given that the zero phase of Ethereum 2.0 will be launched as planned, on December 1, this coin should rise significantly in price even before the new year.  Of course, it is possible to invest in other lesser known altcoins.  Some of them may rise in price even more than Bitcoin or ethereum.  However, such an altcoin is difficult to choose.  There is a lot of risk here.

 Right now I would distribute it this way;

 250 dollar Lumen
 250 dollar Tron
 250 dollar Eos
 250 dollar BNB
 500 dollar ETH
 500 dollar Bitcoin

If you invest it this way you could make a decent amount of money from your investment. If you want you could definitely squeeze in some others as well. For example make the 250 dollar ones 200 dollars and add another 200 dollar one like Link for example, that way you will add one more project in there. Or you could drop ETH and BTC into 250 dollar as well and you can get 2 more 250 dollars. Hell you could make all of these 200 dollars and add in a lot more. So in the end you could grow this list if you want but in the end I would say this is a good base to work on. If you see any of these go super high, you could sell a part of it, take it back down to what it was and use the excess profit to grow your portfolio, that is a much better method.

As long as you are not greedy you still have a chance to getting profit although the altcoin price are increasing.

I'm not sure this is the best advise or not but in a few days ago I'm trading in two altcoin namely xrp and xlm and I got a good return form my daily trade.

You may need to try, there are some factors that could make those altcoins price will increase more. Given the economic situation will push many people comfortable to choose crypto currency as a good place to get money.

stellar and XRP seem the logical tokens to buy while they are up to run up wildly these days, i hope this will not end bad though. the last price i remember for XLM was $0.08 and not its $0.19, its a damn profit already if i just got in at the right price.

having $2k to invest, i would certainly be looking to the most cheap like TRX, NEM or ADA. this is going to be for a long term that i may sell on mid 2021.

In my sincere investment mindset, I will neither choose anything outside the good coin than just putting my had earned money at stake in other shit-altcoins, the true identity of the king of altcoins has now been shown, ethereum is the best cryptocurrency when talking about altcoins. How about splitting like your investment. I know you don't want to invest in bitcoin, but I would still suggest you to invest at least 50% of your money in bitcoin, while investing rest of the money in other well known altcoins. Remember, altcoins are more volatile. A coin worth $100 today can be almost $0 the next day! So choose coins that are already well established, has active community and are constantly being developed. Try not to invest on those new coins or coins that are being hyped (defi coins).
You should decide for yourself which coins that you should invest. You will receive biased suggestions if you rely on peoples opinion.

2000 is good amount to still pick some top alts and make superb profits in few months. So watching the top 20 list i would select trx that is hovering around 3 cents for now and i think last high was 25 cents for trx so this time around i guess it has the potential to hit over $2.5 per trx as new high price.

Investing your $2000 in ETH, you buy all about 3.3 ETH now. Hold it and wait for ETH2.0 release on December 1, your balance can $3000 after that time.
It is actually not a good idea to invest your money right now because as you can see in the market the price of ETH already pumps and it is too risky to do that, maybe if you already invest that before the pump happens, you can already see that your money is growing but at a time like this, it is too risky. And about the ETH 2.0, we cannot predict what will happen next once it is being released. But still, we are all hoping that once it was released that it will have a big impact on the value of the ETH itself.

In my opinion, 50% of the capital you have should buy Bitcoin, but since you want to invest in other than Bitcoin, I will provide
recommendations for very profitable altcoins to buy. These include Ethereum, Ripple, Chainlink and Tron. From the altcoins I mentioned,
the performance is very good, and now it has started a bullish trend. So the price will continue to rise until 2021, so no need to hesitate
to invest your $ 2000 money in the 4 altcoins that I have mentioned.

Look for completed projects from excellent devs or ones near completion that are terrible or dont seem to care about marketing.
I would keep most in bitcoin. I would put 500 dollars with blacknet, bitbay and Blocknet.
Those that the most undervalued projects from developers that have demonstrated they can produced original work that is incredibly useful. Do your own research. I have spent years studying this forum and annoying developers with questions.

Look outside of the top 200 for the huge returns. But dont buy anything from an unproven development team and make sure their product is complete or nearly complete.

In this order. Bitbay reserve 50% , blocknet 30% blacknet 25%
Always most in bitcoin.

I will advise you make research about the purpose of ETH2.0 which was ETH own way of preparing for the mainstream and that the reason why the Australian government are planning to you ETH to create their own digital currency.

In as much as I'm a big fan of bitcoin, I can only advise you to invest your hard earned money into it only when I'm sure to certain level that you're going to make some return on your investment within a specific time. At the moment, I don't think Bitcoin will be the best coin to buy. You can consider the altcoins particularly, ETH, BNB, and some DeFi tokens.

Better still I would advise any PROFIT-DRIVEN and Short-term investor to hold on till the first quarter of 2021. This is when I think it will make more profit sense to invest for a better ROI. The current boom in the market is not going to last for a longer time beyond the beginning of next year. Invest when the price is low not when all the gains of the year have been made.

You must realize that once the altcoin season begins, almost all top altcoins can improve their prices very well. Just look at what's happening with XRP or XLM today! They are growing very fast and seem consitent to increase more. So, it is very promisng to take a part of the party on those two top altcoins.

When I'm looking at the good investment I found Elrond or eGLD and I tried to invest my money last year. The supply that time was so much a lot like more than 13B circulating supply until they have mainnet launch we swapped our old erd to eGLD that has equivalent to 1000ERD : 1EGLD its 1000x less to old token. So the price pumped to 0.68$ that was their IEO price on binance. And now the price was more than 8$ and I am so happy to invest, And If you like invest too. Many investors are already see the sign of BNB and Ethereum that will come with full speed to reduce bitcoin in the market, since bitcoin has been increasing since we enter pandemic, that collapse so many countries economy.

Also, if you want to be adventurous you can participate in low-cap projects outside of the top100 and i think such projects take a lot of time to learn and track the project's volatility. Some of the low cap projects that I am following are: idena ,dia ,.... generally small projects spend less money than big projects.

I would put it all on ETH first, I do not enjoy going outside of erc20 world so it will be ETH first and foremost. After that I will check coins that I think could have a good future that is not doing anything right now. For example, UNI token looks to be prime for increase in the future, it is a governance token and if they decide on making it more profitable they can do that and this could make the token go super high in a hyped fashion.

Secondly I think wave could go higher as well, with ADA too because these are coins who are trying some things and so far they failed hence why price is not too much but they could totally increase in the future if they succeed. Find coins like that, things that are working on improving but haven't done it just yet.

Taking a cursory look at cryptocurrency, I will suggest ethereum, because it still has the potential to go up faster than anyone could envisaged. Investing in new altcoins however, I may not really counsel anyone, because they are still not fully tested, and overly trusting on something which has not been tested could be suicidal.

I agree with you, new altcoins untested, and the level of risk is enormous. Anyone would want to get a big return from their investment, there are so many altcoins that have good potential, Eth is still the main hunt for investors, then followed by Bnb, Waves, Xrp etc, try investing in it, because coins with good potential will be easier to get profit.

If I had $2000, I would definitely invest it in Ethereum. Because it is uncertain whether Bitcoin will have more bull run. Now the bull run of Altcoins has started and Ethereum is the king of Altcoins. Ethereum's growth is higher than other coins and its fidelity is higher. Ethereum's ATH still has a lot left. So I think Ethereum is the best choice for investment now.

The prices of the altcoins right now are not in the peak yet so whatever altcoins that you are going to choose are still safe as long as it is trusted like the top 20 then you can surely profit if  you have guts in holding it until we can hit the peak of the market. You only need to hit the right timing in selling your assets as it is the most difficult thing to do.

$2000 investment money can be put to 2-4 alt currencies, in this way you can lessen the possibility to loss all your investment at once even if you have chosen a 1 currency that are not giving any profit to you as long as the others alts are generating some profit.

But it's up to you if you want to invest even 4 or 6 different altcoins which have a good movement in the market to lessen the possibility that you will loss. Investing in altcoins at this time is very likely to increase in price because Bitcoin has been at a high level asymptotic to the ATH of 2017. As the Bitcoin domain drops, altcoins are rapidly increasing in price, starting with altcoins, this is great. because altcoins can increase in value many times faster and more due to their small capitalization.
It can be said that investing in altcoins at the moment is a good trend, but only invest in altcoins in the top 30.

They are many alt-coin need to invest with, take a look at ethereum ETH, it has a potential reached $800 or above Base on the current price of Ethereum, therefore, there are other lower price of coin in coin market cap, HEX, BITTO, XXA, CLA, VEX, LINK, have a strong foundation for future prospect and many more, make your research.

Good luck

agree with the others, ethereum is the right choice for altcoin investment as its value continues to increase, but XLM, TRX, XRP can also be options as these coins continue to grow.

Many traders who new to market have a look of Bitcoin and Ethereum alone. They forget to look into the coins like Tron,Monero, waves and Binance. They can use this coin to start of trading.More stablecoin will be trade by all the type of traders both long and short term traders for their profit from it.

Good assets so don't forget to buy ethereum because one of the best way making some profits quckly in this coin. Ethereum price can jump very soon so don't think late to here. Afterall if you want buy some altcoins then you can go btc, atom, xrp, BnB, tron.

The price of bitcoin had started to reduce again. It's needed one for you to hold and see the maximum dump in bitcoin bitcoin.Leave the trading for three days and have a check of bitcoin price. You can buy bitcoin at cheap price. But selling at low for the demand of money is not a wise option.

Guys, if you have $2k today, where do you put it? Which altcoins? Seems altcoins already rallied high and i dont want to be caught at the high.
If i had 2000 to invest today i would have simply invested in ethereum because if you see the charts of btc and eth. Ethereum is falling the exact same path of btc with a little delay this just shows that ethereum is due a big leg up from here plus the eth 2.0 mainnet can act as ideal stimulus to take eth to atleast 1000 mark.

I have some small amounts of most of good alts so if i get extra 2k to invest i would like to invest in a bit high risk projects so that profit potential would also be huge so i would risk it all in utrust utk because it is a very serious project, token has vast utilities and its already working woth mainstream companies with real use cases.

I would probably divide it in half and invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Because both of them have big potential for the future. By the way, Bitcoin is on a very good run and Ethereum is going like that too now. I think that this rally won't end soon and continue for some time more.

If you are going to insist on alts, go with anything that has good liquidity.

If you believe alts already rallied then there is no point in investing at all.

Wait for a dump instead.

If I have $ 2k in cash, then I divide into three coins. Bitcoin $ 1k, Ethereum $ 500, and Binance $ 500. Because these three coins have great potential for the future. Wait for Eth2 release. Most likely the Ethereum price will be bullrun.

I'd still put my money in Bitcoin if you don't have any, or worse case half in Bitcoin and half into 1  altcoin of your choice.

Worst thing you can do is buy a bunch of them because then you'll never profit. Most altcoins lose value so if you buy 20 different 60% of them will go down and in the end of the day you'll be down on your investment.

All bitcoin or 50% BTC 50% ETH would be my choice.

If you preferred to spend your money on altcoins, i think Ethereum is a good option to take.
The launch of ETH 2.0 will bring more people to buy Ethereum because the minimum staking amount is 32 ETH.
Bitcoin price is already increased, and we don't know if the price still keep increasing, or even decreasing, so.. better with altcoins.

As long as you will pick a good altcoins then there is nothing wrong to it, right now we have the bitcoin season and it is currently rising but the alts season will also come sooner and I expect to see a lot of altcoins flying in the beginning of the 2021. The capital that you have is already big for me and you can manage it very well if you have a lot of knowledge and also skills that you can use. I prefer you to diversify your funds wherein you will invest it in 4 altcoins, just make sure that you will put it in altcoins that have future and not altcoins that can considered as shitcoins. Try to invest it in XRP, ETH, BNB and LTC. There are a lot of more altcoins that have future just make a deep research in order for you to get data that you can use for your investing decision.

I think it would be better to invest in ethereum than BNB ethereum is in a much better position with the rise in the price of bitcoin the demand for this currency is higher than other altcoins and it is pumping a lot in the market much safer to transact. Most exchange sites are acceptable the price of ethereum has crossed  500 a lot and ethereum is in a high position to invest 2000 altcoins instead of bitcoin.

It’s time to buy again as btc has fallen a bit so ETH is now more than 10% down and available at 530$. It rose above 620+ so buying on dips is what I prefer to do and seems a good time before it goes up again. For short term holders or even for long term this seems to be a good opportunity we have got due to dip in price.

Exactly, each person will have a different indication about the altcoin, now it is not a good idea to invest in Bitcoin because already the price of Bitcoin increased. So it is good to choose other potential altcoins in the market which are already in dip and it will surely help us to make a decent profit once the price of Bitcoin stables.

There are a few altcoins which looks like having future potential to me. But the problem is that even these coins are heavily overpriced. With the recent price rise for ETH and XRP, they are looking very unattractive. On top of that, altcoins such as ETH are facing issues related to their development. I would rather stick with Bitcoin, rather than taking the risk of investing in altcoins.

The Ethereum community is expecting a very good trend in the Start of December so i think this is one good option to put the amount you mentioned specially now that there is a small correction and the price of ETH is Back to 500$.

If the expectation comes true and Ethereum reach anotherr ath in which the recent is $1,400 meaning the new ATH will bring 200% profit from the amount invested.

But make sure you are ready if things twisted, meaning if what comes is the other way around.

Investing in BTC isn't the best thing to do. FOMO can be happening anytime soon, the situation finds risky since the market is on the Bullish high.

$2k is already a big money to start, but the big challenge is to find prospective altcoins for investment. Choosing altcoins that are already on the rally meant not to be the best choice for me. I have to choose those who are not yet on the go.

If I have the plan to invest then, probably not this time, I have to let the market slows down first.

$2k  is not a big amount so I will just put it in two altcoins only, I prefer Ethereum because of the coming 2.0 which will bring Ethereum to a new heights, another one is Ripple, they are making a big hype now and I think this hype will continue when in the bull run period, these two altcoins will bring you more profit, so concentrate on these two coins only.

As much as we would like to invest in bitcoin but having an amount of $2000 was not enough coz we all know that 1 bitcoin today were almost $17000 of course $2000 was too small amount so as much as we wanted to invest in it we don't have any other choices but to invest in altcoins. I think Altcoins are more profitable than bitcoin because their price rises faster especially if they have an event that will have a token burn or they will have a big event but my advice if you invest $ 2,000 in altcoins is to split This is so that you can cover your losses if some of the altcoins you buy suddenly fall apart. Two strategies you choose can be longterm or short term investment if you want to invest in a stable coin or token you can invest in eth, bnb and xrp.

It's always depend on the return  you are looking that's why many choose to use altcoin because they are looking for 100% gain or more which Is hard to get if you will only choose Bitcoin .its possible however it takes time to get that gain.

Other altcoin can easily have that but also have the same risk higher the risk equals to higher returns or you may lost a lot if you choose wrong altcoin to buy.

I'd probably put all of it in xrp. Its price is currently in a good position for buyers to take advantage. After taking its way up, it is now starting to dump or to go down. This is a good opportunity to buy and wait for it to increase again. This airdrop event will probably lead xrp to increase its price again sooner or later.

If you are an investor then you must have a plan for your investments. Others may have a different plan but I am sharing my plan with you. If I have 2000$ then 50% of its that's mean 1000$ will be for Bitcoin. from the other 1000$ I would invest 400$ in ETH and with the rest of 600$, I would do trade with it with my favorite alts. My plan will be for that 600$ is, I will buy any alts with 200$ and wait for the profit if market dumped I would buy more with the rest of my balance. I suggest that you should do a great planning wherein you know what coins that you will buy, when will you enter and when you will sell the coins that you bought. Investing in altcoins is good as long as you have plan because it will serve as guide to execute your orders perfect. Focus on buying high market cap altcoins to give you a small guarantee because usually those low market caps are those altcoins that keep experiencing dumps so I suggest to avoid it because of the high risks. Do not also believe on tips and rumors especially from the self-proclaimed guru who keep deceiving a lot of investors and traders.

Choosing Altcoins right now is a wise decision than put them on Bitcoin because Bitcoin had almost reached its old peaks and the profit it bring to you is less than the risk. But you should be carefully to choose some Altcoins because there are some Altcoins which had increased strongly in recent days and it would be better if you wait when the short correction is coming to end (may be early next week)

(26/11/2020).. Nearly $1.9 billion worth was liquidated in the last 24 hours. By far the most on Binance damaged the market- about $840M. As the price of Bitcoin started to drop, inflows into exchanges spiked. This indicates that whales, or high-net-worth investors, were selling heavily on major exchanges, including Coinbase. But I never sell BTC, until I need to cash out for groceries or need to take out initial investment. I keep my portfolio always in BTC, with aim to increase by BTC rather than focusing on dollar value. And in my experience I have seen most people who try to swing from BTC TO USDT THEN USDT BTC during high volatility end up getting rektd. So won’t advise anyone to do it unless they are really good at speculating top and bottom.

Guys, if you have $2k today, where do you put it? Which altcoins? Seems altcoins already rallied high and i dont want to be caught at the high.
It's not a bad idea but know when to get in, that's all that matters, do not invest when market is surging so high cos you can easily get trapped and have to hold for years before having another opportunity to sell without losing too much, some buy Bitcoin at 19k in 2017, they had to hold and probably sell this year just to get their main money back.

Since you picked Altcoins for investing, this is what I advice people, if Bitcoin pump, the gains is going back into ALtcoins, so invest in Top 50 projects in the space, but there are some good projects, Like AXS, Injective protocol and linear finance that have huge potential for growth as Bitcoin price settle down

Some altcoins have risen well in recent years.  You can invest, the main thing is to conduct an analysis.  I recently sold YOUC and regretted it a lot.  You need to invest when you are one hundred percent sure.  I think ETH will still show good results.

Now OP has got an opportunity to buy altcoins at lower price, as bitcoin has pulled down the market. $2000 is good enough to make a better profit investing on different altcoins that had grown good. Already there is a set of people who are into the cryptospace, and trying to profit out of altcoins than bitcoin which is good in my view.

We must maintain the idea of not putting our investment in just one basket, but we must spread it out to branch the possibilities of gains. On the other hand, spreading our investment across several projects could mean a failure in the near future, with the possibility of the market in general suffering a great drop as at the moment.

Splitting into Bitcoin and 4 more projects to seek profits can be a great idea.

Wondering on why people do really exclude out bitcoin into their list? Just because they do aim out for those low cap coins and making big fortunes when it pumped? Yes its possible but
on a very low chance of happening and you should consider yourself lucky when you do able to hit such project even though it isnt a potential one but once it would be hyped up
or been tend to be pumped by some whales then that would be the jackpot but to think on the chance for it to happen which it isnt really worth for the risk.
Diversifying is always been recommendable but be sure to stick out with the best possible option out there. You cant just carelessly choose because the market had been
flooded out by worthless tokens.

If I would have that amount to invest, my first choice would be Bitcoin but since you're referring to altcoins, I would choose Ethereum and Ripple. I'll invest $1500 for Ethereum and $500 for Ripple. I have no doubt that these coins could boom in the coming days again if Bitcoin would reach a good price as well. There are still lots of potential top coins that could possibly rise but I trust the foundation of Eth and Xrp based on its past movement.

Since altcoins is in the good condition to buy now, if ever I have that huge amount of money I will invest in the top altcoins. ETH, XLM, XRP and LTC. I have keeping my eye on these altcoins right now since they are previously showing a great increase in price. It would be a great opportunity to buy right now since their price is currently low than before.

I am with you on this type of thinking. This is what I believe the focus of a good investor would be.

You'd want to take this opportunity to buy these top alts as they have recently ramped up like crazy, so this seems like the best timing to buy in, especially since Serenity will be launched next week.

Guys, if you have $2k today, where do you put it? Which altcoins? Seems altcoins already rallied high and i dont want to be caught at the high.

There are a lot of potential alternative coins out there where you can buy for spot holdings.

First things first, before thinking what alternative coin to buy, ask yourself, where will I store/ hold the altcoins I hold while waiting for the price to go high? Always check for the exchange where you saw your potential coin to be bought and kept, that is the most important on my opinion. Even if you bought an altcoin multiplied its price multiple times, it doesnt matter if where you put it becomes a scam or hacked without any insurance in it.
Would highly recommend Binance if you want to hold spot on a potential alternative coin you want.

There are a lot of factors to consider when buying an altcoin for spot holdings:
1. Storage (the first thing I mentioned)
2. Product, for what is it used? (Example BNB Coin, product Binance)
3. Community
4. Liquidity
5. Partnerships
6. Etc.

Overall, highly recommend you know how to trade even for the usage of swing positions (more likely as hodl) but since you know technical analysis, you will know levels that there are buyers and sellers which will be your long term advantage.
