Not sure about profit, but you could check TurtleCoin.

You can mine algorithms that don't care much about memory unlike Ethash Algorithm, I'm guessing cryptonote and randomX algorithm will be a better fit, you can mine Monero using randomX algo or mine cryptonight coins like Loki, Karbowanec, Haven protocol etc but don't expect better profits

Find new altcoins with POW algorithm to mine, the best suit for 2gb memory gpus are coins with very low mining difficulty, if you mine Monero it's going to be a complete waste of time and electricity because it's not going to be profitable, do research on some cryptonight coins like turtle coin for example, this coin is easier to mine because it's using cryptonight-lite algorithm, check that out

It doesn't have to be a particular Algorithm, you just need to find a new coin to mine, 2gb will be enough since the mining difficulty is still low, check 2ACoin (ARMS) it's Argon2 chuckwa Algorithm, it's new and not listed yet, very easy to mine, there's is another called Adon Coin, it's also a Argon2 chuckwa Algorithm coin, pretty low mining difficulty right now

Have you heard about Avrio (AIO)? It's a cryptonight turtle algorithm and it's very easy to acquire, I'm sure your 2gb graphics card is a perfect fit for this coin, also whatever new coin you want to mine make sure that the use case is good enough because some new coins will never grow due to bad use cases, some are even scam projects too, be careful around new coins

Find coins that are under Mega hash rates, from 1 Terabyte hashrate it will be very difficult to earn or solve any block when mining, you can use https://www.cryptunit.com/coins to find new altcoins to mine and also take note about the coins you choose, make sure the coin says active like the image below

Less mining difficulty will give you higher chance of solving blocks when mining so you need a new altcoin that have not much mining difficulty, also make sure the new coin have good utility, might not be listed on exchanges yet but if there is good utility you can mine and hold till it get listed and sell, don't go around picking new coins simply because they are easier to mine to avoid wasting your time

Sell the 2gb gpu and add more cash for a better mining experience, you won't be able to make good profits mining with 2gb gpu and moreover no profitable coin for 2gb memory right now, unless you want to mine new coins? There is a catch here too, new coins are mostly crap jobs, they might not get listed for a very long time and you will be forced to hold the coins, the worst part is some will never get listed on exchange

Forget about it. Better look for used 4-6 GB video cards on the market and get good profit.
Outdated video cards will not bring you profit, I do not even want to write about the reasons, because they are obvious.

3gb graphics card still have a chance with Ethereum Classic modified algorithm called ETChash, I don't know how ETC team did it but 3gb gpu works very well without running out of DAG file, I've tried with a single gtx1060 3gb zotac version and it works, ETC team aren't bluffing on this one

It is simple hot ETC did it...they simply reduced the DAG size from more than 4gb to 2.5gb ... nothing mysterious about it.

Try Ubiq (UBQ) which can mine with Phoenixminer, my GT 1030 can make 1 ubq in 3 day in maxhash pool

3-4gb coins dont help the op.

All those coins that I made mentioned can be mined with 2GB and more, I don't have to say 2GB cards only, what are you trying to prove here? Smarter or what ?

OP asked for mineable coins for 2gb gpus.  You are answering with coins that are 3/4gb mineable.  Do you not see that doesnt do anything for the OP and his 2gb gpus. 

then raven coin can no longer be mined with 2gb gpu because its dag is now more than 3gb, the equihash algorithm in particular aion and equilibria is mined very well, even uplexa can be mined with a certain profit by combining cpu + gpu

Choose coins where the DAG file has not yet exceeded 2 GB, but mining will be useless even with free electricity.
You need at least 3 GB of memory

and what do you mine with 3gb then ? im not new, but havent much contact with mining last few years. after a couple days finding out i do right now vertcoin. works even with 2gb just fine. but interested to have more inputs

Not that many even with 3 GB cards.Ethereum Classic and Ravencoin which were mineable a couple of months ago like in April or so only in Linux are not anymore mineable with 3 GB cards.So the bare minimum nowadays is 4 GB cards and those card can mine RVN and ETC as the most profitable coins to mine together with ERGO,this one can also be mined with 3 GB cards as the DAG size is just over 2 GB right now.

I do not mine on 3 GB video cards, I sold them after it became impossible to mine Ethereum on them.
I mine Ethereum Classic on 4GB graphics cards.
And 3 GB are also relevant on this coin

FYI I am mining ETC on 3gb 1060s right now on linux using gminer. 

UBQ should work great for 2GB cards.  ETHO Protocol (formerly Ether 1) should also mine with 2GB cards but I'm not 100% sure, don't quote me on it.

Try to mine new coins, but be careful because there is a possibility of a scam, and to mine new coins don't expect to make a quick profit it usually takes time to enjoy the results.

Is anyone mining toncoin using small GPUs with 2GB vram? This coin is very new and has good utility too, it was very profitable to mine weeks ago but I don't know about the present mining reward on ton coin is, I'm sure that 2gb cards can mine this coin too

No way it’s even removable possible on any platform. You need 6gb vram onboard memory. at least 6gb ram minimum with new dag.

With a 2gb ram card aion and all the coins on the cryptonight gpu algorithm such as ryo, equilibria and conceal are mined very well

Only your card is not supported by the miner and thats it. Sometimes it is better to write nothing  ;)


Toncoin is not really new, and you can mine it for maybe 4 - 6 weeks, after the last giver is dry - PoW is over. You can mine it with 2GB cards, only be sure that the miner support your gpu

Hate to bump a dead horse, but since I was fooling around with a Frankenstein build consisting of old parts I had sitting around (including an RX 550 2GB GPU) I tried searching for DAG sizes of coins and found this thread.

So anyway, just wanted to add that Neoxa can easily be mined with a 2GB card.  I have no clue what its prospects are--though I suspect it'll end up in the Yobit 1-satoshi graveyard eventually--but it's been on people's radar lately since it's one of the more profitable coins to mine with 4GB cards.

Too bad it's only listed on a couple of crappy exchanges, but whatever.

2 GB video cards have long been unprofitable in mining. It is better to sell them and buy inexpensive RX 474 or 574

4gb video cards will be relevant for mining ethereum classic until 25 Aug 2025 and you still have a couple of months of mining in zombie mode.
