Best war movies you have seen!

My favourite war movie is Stalingrad from 1993 (The story follows a group of German soldiers, from their Italian R&R in the summer of 1942 to the frozen steppes of Soviet Russia and ending with the battle for Stalingrad.)

It's a bit old and not the best quality but a unbelievable good movie, a must watch in my opinion.

the war film that impressed me the most was '300'...
I heard it was a true story, so it amazed me with the strength and dexterity of the 300 warriors. I really like the old war movies that fight using strategy and horses, not just using guns and bombs.

300 was cool, I also enjoyed World War Z (isn’t quite a war movie but has war in the title & is a cool movie). Braveheart is a classic also.

I have watched those movies that has been mentioned above, 300 and World War Z.

I had a glimpse of Saving Private Ryan when I was younger but totally forgotten the whole plot.

I also liked Extraction of Chris Hemsworth, this isn't an actual war movie but there's an army scene and the whole story, I totally give it a thumbs up.

Well, the idea of 300 is based on a true story. But do you really think the enemy was THAT inhuman and cruel? I think they were just a "normal" big enemy force.

My favourite is "The winter war", which is an unbelievable true story.

Gone with the Wind,Scarlett is a very individual woman, and Captain Ritter Butler is also unforgettable. Vivien Leigh reflects the independent and self-improving character of women in that era. Captain Ritter Butler was so charming, he smiled and said, "That's your business, dear". For Scarlett, Captain Butler really did his best, Scarlett woke up too late, "tomorrow is another day" is the most true lie.

War Horse 2011 by Steven Spielberg

It's a horse in the middle of the war. Its a newly trained horse but since its, the time of war the some of the farmer was just pulled out to join the war and the army took the horse with them for they need it to lift things in battle. The horse did something more than what they needed and return the son untouched to his family after he war. Its a drama film but its wartime.

"Road to Glory" tells us that the cruelest thing in the war is not the danger of fire, bullets flying around, and accidental loss of life, but the intrigue behind the war with a high-sounding excuse, patriotism is Rogue excuses are also the epitaphs of generals who look at great villains. The most memorable thing is that after the German singer on the stage sang the song, the French soldiers in the tavern sang low, letting the story bring warmth at the end.

This was a movie I just watched on netflix over the weekend and it was such a sad movie as you said.

Showing how the young boys were able to have a friendship while one of the boys was in a death camp was very powerful.   Sad ending but a good flick.

Downfall (Der Untergang) - The movie gives a realistic feel when watching. It brings the real image of Adolf Hitler on the screen. Each and every scene is made precise, and the actress who played the role of secretary to Hitler is well done. Often I used to watch the movie whenever I feel bored of watching the recent movies. Through this movie we can see how he takes the decision and the failure leading him to the fall.

Saving Private Ryan. The film describes the four sons of the Ryan family who participated in the battle after the landing in Normandy. Except for the youngest son of the 101st Airborne Division’s younger son, Private James Ryan, who is still missing, the other three sons have been fighting in various places within two weeks. dead. After learning of the incident, General Marshall, the US Army Chief of Staff, out of humanitarian considerations, ordered an 8-man squad to be organized on the front line to find out the life and death of the second-class James Ryan amidst the crowds and bullets, and return him safely. rear. On December 17, 2014, the film was selected into the list of 2014 "National Treasure Films" in the United States.

"A Beautiful Life" is a very touching movie. During World War II, a Jewish father and son were imprisoned in a concentration camp. In order to avoid harm to his son's innocence, the father told his son a white lie, and the father died tragically and his son was rescued. Although the film does not have the cruel scenes of war, it makes you feel the ruthlessness of war and the greatness of family affection through the description of the spiritual level.

"Shadow Warrior" is a Japanese war movie, the most representative work of director Akira Kurosawa. In the late 16th century, Takeda, the leader of the three heroes, asked his younger brother to announce his death three years later, so his younger brother found a thief who looked very much like him as a stand-in. Not only did the thief change a lot in the past three years, but he also revived the family. Because the identity was revealed, the Takeda family's aura also disappeared.

Schindler's List(1993).Human nature is the source of all good and evil. The war made people lose their kindness, but Schindler showed the kindness of human nature in the war. Only those who have great love in their hearts can use all their wisdom and money to give life more important meaning. How times change and how history develops, society needs people who are full of love and positive energy like Schindler.

My favorite war movie is 1917. As a war movie, 1917 does not have much rendering or extension. Compared with the grand scenes of other war movies, this 1917 just uses the perspective of two individuals to continue the cruelty of war. There can be no such thing on this battlefield. Kindness, even if it's just helping a dying enemy to make a pot of water, even if it's just covering the enemy's mouth to prevent him from speaking without killing him, but the result is either the enemy's bayonet or the enemy's whistle. By the half of the film, there are men left. When the master was one, what he inherited was not courage, but also the spirit of fighting against loneliness and despair. The ranks of the barracks were divided into three or six or nine ranks, but what a corporal did was something that a lieutenant could not do. He especially liked that the ending was full. The leafy tree is not only the yearning for life, but also the yearning for war and peace.

Das Boat

I saw this on T.V back in the 80's, It was released in 1981 and is about a German
U-boat in WWII. Its a subtitled movie and is unbelievably authentic. I would rate it
as an action thriller.

There was a later version released which was dubbed and was shockingly bad.

If you are going to watch it stick with the original.
Rated 8.3 on IMDb

I like all the movies from the Pacific theatre in WW2. One of my two all time favourite war movies are:

"Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima" by Clint Eastwood.

They show the Japanese and American side of the invasion of Iwo Jima. Both of the movies are master pieces and detail the horror of war of both sides.

Great watch for anybody interested in WW2 movies.

Dunkirk. I really admire Nolan's ability to tell stories, and gather three stories and characters from different points in time at the final climax. And a lot of details are also displayed in place. The whole film is biased towards humanism. In addition, the music is very good, and the attention is attracted throughout the whole journey. It is especially worth mentioning that the music of boarding on the beach and landing at the end is very impressive. This type of film is not boring and distracted throughout the whole process, and its skills are evident.

No matter when and where, maintaining a clean appearance.
In addition to clothing, if there is anything that makes you stand out from the crowd, it must be perfume. Perfume is like clothes. It is also a person's self-expression. A perfume that suits you can greatly enhance your temperament, especially for boys. :)

My favorite war movie is ”Pearl Harbor“ which is almost restores that historical event almost truly. Through the vivid and shocking visual effects and powerful narrative, this film makes the whole film appear very thick. It not only reflects the true history, shows the cruel war, but also conveys the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature and the preciousness of life. In addition to being moved, I will also have profound thoughts about that period of history.

The story of the film is concise and clear, clean and tidy, and the rhythm is tight and orderly. Liu Bieqian's detailed design can be said to be original, which proves that becoming a classic is both simple and not so simple. Liu Bieqian’s comedies are great. His humor is not vulgar, not deliberate, thinking, and stories. He always creates comedic effects in plot reversals and dramatic conflicts full of wisdom. And "You Flee, I Flee" is indeed another one. The leader.

Among all the movies, if only one of the best movies can be selected, for me, it is "Underground". I remember when I was watching this movie, he had another name called "City Without Sky". In fact, this name is more able to inspire a metaphor of reality. The appearance of this film makes me have a kind of respect for the entire Yugoslavian film. This historically heavy film presents a kind of pitiful reflection, pointing directly to the root of the nation's difficulties-war.

I don’t know why, until recently I watched the masterpiece "Schindler’s List", "Saving a life is saving the world". In that era of madness, the brilliance of human nature is not just the rescued. Myself. Oscar Schindler, a complex and three-dimensional man, he is a speculative businessman, even a predator who fell into trouble and deceived others. However, his later feats told us that as long as one person has enough moral bottom line, it will be possible to save How many lives save the world and save themselves at the same time.

"Butterfly's Tongue." When watching a movie, I wonder why the little boy throwing stones on the poster is out of anger. After a long period of preparation, ignorant of childhood growth, sexual enlightenment, knowledge exploration, friendship between young and old, and sudden changes in the last six minutes, such plots are no stranger to us. Politics can be the dirtiest thing in the world. It is very different from the natural scenery and the beauty of friendship between young and old. "The Spanish Civil War has just begun."

1917 is one of the best war movies I've ever seen. Below is the synopsis:
"During World War I, two British soldiers -- Lance Cpl. Schofield and Lance Cpl. Blake -- receive seemingly impossible orders. In a race against time, they must cross over into enemy territory to deliver a message that could potentially save 1,600 of their fellow comrades -- including Blake's own brother."

I liked it because it's aimed to show how the soldiers really had it in the middle of the war. It's not a national's propaganda about how the mighty super-countries won the war. It's from the soldier's perspective.

Saving Private Ryan. Through this movie, I saw the cruelty of the movie and the warmth of the army at the same time.
In order to save Ryan, save the pain of the mother who has lost three sons. But also used 8 people to execute the superiors' orders to bring Ryan home. Use 8 people in exchange for a life. Sometimes I feel that something is not worth it, and I get entangled in human nature again. Warmth and cruelty are at the same time.

Saving Private Ryan. The plot describes the story of rescuing private Ryan after landing in Normandy. The most talked about in the film is the beginning of the Omaha Beach beach rush scene, which reproduces the cruelty and tragic of the year to a considerable extent.
After watching a war movie, I can better understand the meaning of life. Everyone is afraid of death, but not afraid of death. The choice between life and death is to give up one's precious life for others. The characters in the film are very detailed, and each character is very vivid.

Enemy at the Gates
This is a very good movie. The love, friendship and family affection in the war are fully displayed. It does not praise a certain spirit or reflect the cruelty of war like other war films. It directly faces the darkness of human nature. You and me, and the subordinates can only execute orders without knowing anything. I remember Vasily saying that he wanted to be a worker. The description of that paragraph is very wonderful. We don't know what we are up to, but the people above know.

Apocalypse Now. It's been a long time since I watched a three-hour movie, and it was Coppola's movie. But before I started watching this one, I didn't know that it was the famous Coppola work, let alone that the real actor was my favorite Marlon Brando. And when I first watched it, I was not very patient. But this movie belongs to the genre that is getting better. The more I see the back, the more I sink my emotions, so that I am very desperate when I see it, and I feel exhausted after watching it. A movie that makes you tired of watching but still remembering

"Jojo's Fantastic World"
During World War II, the boy Jojo and his mother lived under the rule of Nazi Germany. He didn't know that his mother was hiding a Jewish girl at home, and his mother was secretly working for the Resistance Army...
From the perspective of a young boy, the film tells the story of the Nazis and Jews during World War II in a witty and cheerful way.
From the perspective of children, the prejudice and discrimination in the world seem particularly ironic.
Maybe part of the plot in the film is a bit ridiculous, but after laughing, you will realize:
this is the truth.

I've watched that movie and it's a movie about prison and redemption. It's a masterpiece, no doubt about that and I rarely save a movie on my phone and this is the only movie that I have saved.

But, this isn't a war movie.

Among the classics I think it is the best. Of the ones I've seen recently, Midway is the one I liked the most, it's the one that made me get excited and put me in the characters' shoes. The scenery and effects are amazing.

Yeah, this is not a serious movie about WW2 but I enjoyed it very much. I would recommend it.

300 was cool, I also enjoyed World War Z (isn’t quite a war movie but has war in the title & is a cool movie). Braveheart is a classic also.

I saw 300. Its great one.
I suggest you to see Savings Private Ryans. It really a remarkable movie.

Saving Private Ryan. The plot describes the story of rescuing private Ryan after landing in Normandy. The most talked about in the film is the beginning of the Omaha Beach beach rush scene, which reproduces the cruelty and tragic of the year to a considerable extent.
One of the best film ever created though very Long to watch , I remember watching this in DVD back then and this took 3 complete Disk to watch while other Movies only consume 1 1/2 Disk  ;D ;D ;D

. Everyone is afraid of death, but not afraid of death.
WHAT??????

The choice between life and death is to give up one's precious life for others. The characters in the film are very detailed, and each character is very vivid.
This is depend in what Culture we are , Speaking about the world war, Back in WWII there are Kamikaze Fighter from Japanese Soldier in which Gave their Life for sure Death just to follow orders.
