If bitcoin made a new All Time High record now in the crypto market, do you think  Ethereum will also follow and break it's ATH last year January 2018 which is more than $1000?

We have always observed that if bitcoin rises in value, most altcoins follow as well. Even now that bitcoin has reached another ATH, altcoins are also increasing and now, market is in green celebrating the bitcoins new record.

for ETH I'm not sure I will reach a new ATH this year because for now everyone's eyes are still on bitcoin, other altcoins will reach new ATH maybe next year

don't be pessimistic first, who knows today, tomorrow or the day after ETH will follow the rising trend of bitcoin? Nobody knows exactly the price movement of a coin, even BTC in the past week only hovered around $ 17k whereas now BTC is hitting $ 20.7k. So this suggests that coin bulls can happen unexpectedly, but let's hope for the best for the coins we hold especially with ETH.

Maybe there is a chance that ethereum will reach a new ATH as you can see the price of eth right now it's starting to grow thanks to bitcoin. If bitcoin keeps increasing until will reach $23,000 then I guess eth will reach over $1000 price and possible we can see a new ATH of eth.

I am so happy right now, finally a new all time high price for bitcoins. Reaching 21,000 a week before Christmas is insane. This is the perfect Christmas gift for all of us. If bitcoins managed to hit their target, ETH should be able to do the same. I wouldn't sell my ETH coins right now. The general sentiment is upwards in my opinion.

Well last ATH of Ethereum was right before the crash of Bitcoin so basically we can expect the increase of price of Ethereum probably when the crash of Bitcoins price well let's just hope that it will took some more time before the crash of Bitcoin or won't crash at all.

The entire bitcoin community got the shock today to see bitcoin within a space of few hours setting up a new all time high record it so amazing to witness that, and also ethereum has made some level of increase in the same space of time but not up to it record high of $1000 in 2018. It's a good thing to witness the ATH being broken and still bullish. Eth also will move close to its ATH, likewise some other alts. Only the patient will enjoy this as always.

I am still bullish about Ethereum and as long as it is following the footsteps of growth im happy but at the same time i would like to see eth closing the year over 850 for good bullish momentum next year.

<$900 for ETH to reach it's previous high, so that is still huge amount in my opinion. So it might take months and I'm expecting that probably next year 2nd or 3rd quarter. As long as we remain bullish, just a matter of time.

Remember that ETH's lowest low is $80 in 2018, that's a significant increased already to the current price. And obviously, with ETH 2.0, we might see a surge next year when everything has settled down, so just be patience and we will reach ATH next year.

In my opinion, ETH can definitely catch up with BTC by reaching its new ATH this year, because I believe the time for ETH prices to increase will not be much different from the increase in BTC prices, so this will make the chances of ETH prices to increasing very high this year can happen (past its ATH price) and once the price of ETH increase very high, then it will be a session for the price of another altcoin to increase very high too (my prediction is the minimum by the end of 2020).

Just a little more time and needs more patience if you want to see Ethereum breaks its past ATH. From the past lower prices that it has, it can also get into a skyrocket and it can repeatedly done.

It's normal in this situation, IMO right now we already on a good price of around 600$. What's we need to start the altcoin season, BTC need to be sideaway first before the party started.

The momentum is on BTC now, so it's true that many put their attention to BTC, old altcoins may not be able to have this momentum unless they will introduce something new again like what happens during DeFi hype,but for old coins like ETH there is a need to more news or developments from the team to make its price increase or create a hype, this time BTC is continuously seeing its point for ATH so many focuses on BTC.

What other news or developments do you think are needed from the devs? There are many huge investments coming into the ETH market and the situation is favorable as many are investing money to stake the coin as well and hence crossing the all time high valuation wont be a big issue and i am expecting the price to start rallying by next year and we might see the price of ETH touching new valuations.

This must be rectified regarding the increase in Bitcoin prices that occurred this year, which is very different from what happened in 2017.
So the current Bitcoin price increase has strong fundamentals supported by several large investors, so there is no pump and dump like what
happened in 2017. This ultimately has an effect on the increase in the price of Ethereum which is unlikely to reach the ATH price this year,
because the increase in the price of ETH is slower than the increase in the price of Bitcoin. So it's possible that by the end of this year Bitcoin
will hit new all-time high prices, while Ethereum will likely only hit a price of $ 700.

Bitcoin's new recorded high value is somewhat amazing, and yet as I've woke up after deep sleep that really made me so delightful. The legacy was only experienced all alone with btc, but not with altcoins or eth because it never indicates something good even though at $19k price of btc. Altcoins investors and traders didn't seem to be happy with the recent updates, and it's too hard for them to move while market continued to be slow in growth.

Lets remember the time where Ethereum reached its ATH at ~$1300.

That time is the time where ICO's are booming. That is the time where ICO are booming and all of the new projects are under the Ethereum blockchain and in order for you to invest into that projects, you must buy Ethereum to get the tokens. Law of supply and demand. More demand, less supply = higher price.

Now that isn't the case right now with Ethereum. Yes there are some DeFi projects that are being created but not all of them are either not Ethereum blockchain or it is not as boom as it is compare to the ICO hype way back 2017. yes it will but not for now. Bitcoin dominance is huge right now. once bitcoin made new moves, it was difficult for altcoins to keep up. so first bitcoin must be stable or there is a new correction in the bitcoin market. then ethereum and all the altcoins can start moving.

This new all-time-high of Bitcoin is really different compare to the previous one (December 2017 - 2018) which we really saw the run of altcoins, especially the Ethereum.
If we follow the price action of previous Bitcoin's all-time-high, Ethereum should be now more than $1,000. But look, it's still around $600, around 50% from its all-time high.
Honestly, this is one of the reasons why I started to accumulate Ethereum before. That's why now I am thinking that, if I just bought Bitcoin instead of Ethereum before, I may more profitable. But it's okay, I can wait, Ethereum still got more room to grow.

This just proves how strong the price is going and it might go over $25K if this strong wave continues to hit this price chart. Since Bitcoin is continuing to go strong, I think other cryptocurrencies will follow. That's true but it will be a very difficult thing to do. This time the movement of ethereum is pegged with bitcoin. We can't deny the fact that if bitcoin is controlling the bullrun right now. It's a possibility since the market cap of Ethereum pales comparison to Bitcoin. I think we will see another ATH for ethereum when there is a lot of ETH locked for eth 2.0 and when btc start corection phase. However eth is still coin deserve to invest to because many dapps built on this network.

Ethereum will not reach its ATH this year. Ethereum needs to lock a lot of its supply into the staking address. this time bitcoin is increasing even higher than before, It touches more than 22k which is an awesome thing that must be seen by us.

I think, for Ethereum it's still quite a distance. This is due to the dominant increase that occurred in 2019 which caused Ethereum prices to also decline. Currently, the thing I can think of is, Ethereum's ridiculously high price for this year is $ 750 or $ 800. That's a high price for ethereum even though it didn't hit any new ATHs for now.

If i could remember correctly it was within the same time range, btc was soaring high and so was eth and other alts, but the scenario seem to have changed, it is almost as if there won't be any alts season this time, institutional investors are pumping money into btc, i think this is just the beginning of anther historic movement on the part of btc price, i can only hope little fraction of that money will float into alts, hard to watch btc killing it without alts, this 2017 i know where my portfolio was at :(

ETH will be delayed for a few weeks and it will break the ATH of 2018. The upside momentum isn't strong, it's not enough ETH can do that this year. We'll see altcoins in general and ETH in particular, make a lot of breakthroughs in the coming year.

It will be no problem for me as I am sure ethereum will get its time to break the ATH of 2018. Ethereum price now can increase higher again after stable at a low price, and it is a good time to sell some ethereum to take profit. Soon, $700 will be a break, and the price will still increase high. So you need to set your target sell price before the price change or down to the lower price, and you will not have a chance to make a profit.

We can say that Bitcoin has reached a support line that now the price of 20k may be a correction to reach new heights. The market has done wonderfully well in-respect to the current Bitcoin price movement, for anyone to look unto Ethereum in it price make sense becasue the last bullish thread by Bitcoin made ethereum bullish short while when Bitcoin price was stable, so, we might see something very close. But frankly speaking, the recent ethereum price we have seen made me think that ethereum will made bullish movement coming 2021 and not 2020.

I predict ETH to reach $1000 by the end of January and will reach its historical maximum by April. ETH will start to rise fast as soon as the BTC starts to fall. With the current trend, it is possible that the BTC may reach $25000 mark in next couple of days. This is what I see right now.

To be sincere, I don't think eth is will see an all time high anytime soon, except a miracle happen of course, with the way btc is going up and eth isnt following up, am afraid, but then,  I really hope that eth sees an all time high soon cus this will really make the community happy.

We are seeing great movement from other cryptocurrencies as well. Maybe we could see that next year. Investors are already expecting cryptocurrencies like Ethereum to increase so I don't think it will really surprise or amaze investors. Some altcoins will also follow the Bitcoins rally so we should not just focus on ETH.

It looks like a sense prediction but we don't know whether the 4-year cycle will be repeating again as next year could be another worst year for the crypto market like 2018 when the majority of altcoins are being dumped to the bottom and then crypto has been getting a lot of blame by so many parties caused by the dump.
Ethereum itself will be very impossible to grow without help from bitcoin. We need a lot of time to see ethereum 2.0 will be achieved 100% progress.

ETH is not yet half of its ATH, it is not easy to say break its ATH, hopefully the price of ETH hit its half of ATH at the end of this month, but i think the first condition is after BTC stop pump, then the money will go to ETH.

How exactly have we been looking at Eth in the past 1 year? It has made over 500% profit for investors in a year whereas Bitcoin just made over 300% profit. we expect Ethereum to make the highest transaction in history of all coin this year at over $1 trillion. I love both coins and I am learning how to maximize the profit from this market. If bitcoin price movement slows down ethereum is likely to pick up from there, the idea is to make the whole 2021 exciting and profitable if one is well positioned.

To reach ATH Ethereum must double its price. You really think this is possible? Look how I see it - back in past ATH was reached due to popularity of ICO and Ethereum did not have big competitors. Now ICOs are not so popular, neither projects use Ethereum blockchain by default for development. Instead some create their own. That is minus one "price pusher". Regular transaction fees issues also play negatively on Ethereum.

ICO had stopped for over 2 years now and Ethereum had recover from the dip of $80. ICO was seen as the top utility then but Defi has grown with over $10 billion locked in it, most USDT are on ethereum with over $15 billion marketcap, top decentralized exchanges are for ethereum blockchain and have the top trading volume which are not fake beside Binance. Some people say ICO is coming back but I dont see it in the size of 2017. Bitcoin is the king and the money while Ethereum fend the money for bitcoin. Those manipulating the market know what they are doing and I believe they can still decide where the market goes for even the institutions.

Yesterday the price of the bitcoin reached the ATH and more than that we expected. Indeed. As long as the bitcoin's price is continuously increasing its price, most altcoins would increase their prices the same as Ethereum because most cryptocurrencies sometimes depend on bitcoin. As bitcoin has already broke above the previous all time high and also the psychological barrier of $20000 I think there is free way ahead now for bitcoin to move even faster into the galaxy. eth needs to surpass the 1k level first before thinking of getting to the 10k mark. we are already more than 600 and breaking 1k may happen before this year ends. a lot are in the positive mood as financial companies keep on buying btc. and the latest one is the  Ruffer Investment  (https://www.coindesk.com/ruffer-investment-one-river-digital-coinbase-bitcoin-buy) who got their $745M worth of BTC from Coinbase.

The new ATH of Bitcoin is indeed something exciting and ethereum is yet to set a new ATH. I'm of the opinion that ethereum would still set a new ATH, probably by next year or after the bitcoin rally.

I didn't expect also BTC to reach this amount too fast, 3 years only after its ATH and it happens during Pandemic. And there is still potential for BTC to reach new heights after some year while we still need to wait for some updates for ETH 2.0 to see how far the price of ETH can be once they released the update since many were only focus in bitcoins now that in any altcoins.

Not every coin can reach all time high at the same time, this is natural because of many factors and market dynamics, because bitcoin is in the limelight these days due to institutional interest I will not be surprised if btc crosses 50k in a month or two all other coins will slowly follow the path and hopefully ethereum will the the quickest.

those coins moved parallel but have different gain while in bullish market. bitcoin or ethereum have biggest attention at this moment , new investors or existing investors try to accumulate their stock as much as possible now before both of them reach highest price ever that maybe we never imagine before.

Alts went down a lot harder than bitcoin did in the recent years, back in 2017 when bitcoin peaked there were tons of alts that peaked with it as well a week later or two but they did peaked which made alts have a huge profitable year back in those days as well.

However when things dropped, bitcoin dropped to around 6-7k levels, even though it reached to 3.5k or so levels for a while it wasn't for long, that means bitcoin always had more than 10% of its old power, more like 20-30% levels as well. However many coins dropped way more than that, for example ethereum had 1500 at peak right? It went as low as 80 dollars, nearly 5% of what it used to be, and many more coins did that too. When you drop that further, it is nearly impossible to make a comeback to 100% once again.

I have an assumption of how it all works, based on human psychology.

Yeah bitcoin made a new all time after 3years,but I'm not so sure about Ethereum breaking its all time high right now, although it might after the ETH 2.0 is fully deployed, but for now it can't make an all time high without solving the current issues it has, aside that bitcoin is pumping real hard and so far altcoins are not following they are just up and down, unlike in 2017 when everything was just skyrocket, maybe if Ethereum hits it all time high again then we can have an altcoin season.

I don't think Ethereum will break it's ATH. Because reviewing the growth ratio of Ethereum and Bitcoin, we see that if the value of Bitcoin is $35k, then Ethereum will break its ATH. I don't think the value of Bitcoin will cross $30k.

Bitcoin is now looking unstable. But Don't think this that it is a unstable remember it is crypto and for a crypto users you have to know that when crypto breaks it all time high records then there has also chance for a going dump too. Because i hope you remember about 2018 when it was breaked its all time high records then it was also gone a very low price too. Thats why we have to careful at this point as a lower or a middle investors on crypto this is not a right time to buy bitcoin now you have to wait for the price dump.
