Title: When do you expect the Altcoin rally?
Post by: tyz on January 03, 2021, 03:12:25 PM
Bitcoin price has grown massively in the last few weeks, while Altcoins have gained little or even lost in relation to Bitcoin. In the past, after a strong Bitcoin rally, sooner or later an Altcoin rally set in. Do you expect an Altcoin rally this time too? If so, when and if no, why not?

I've been expecting it since Bitcoin reached the new ath at the end of 2020, to be more precise I hope the alt season will occur in November or December. But Bitcoin condition really continues to dominate the market and I still hope the alt season will still happen at the beginning of the year. Hopefully.

Even when the rally has not started yet.

I believe all people who have altcoin already satisfied as you can see right now before the bitcoin reached an all-time high again ETH from around 90-130$ and now ETH has been reached 850-900$. Even some people losing an estimation from bitcoin pair but when they see the estimation from USD they already got a lot profit, If bitcoin can handle the price stable for the next few weeks.

I'm sure altcoin will gain more party!

It will also depend on which altcoins you are talking about because there are some altcoins that didn't pump alongside Bitcoin.  Probably they have just manipulated coin or the dollar base coin also known as a stable coin.  Try to look at the CoinMarketCap (https://coinmarketcap.com/) most altcoins have the same movement as Bitcoin and altcoins also increased the price like Ethereum and other altcoins.  So, therefore, even there's no rally but still the price showed an increase.

Bitcoin dominance sometimes gives a reason why altcoin moving opposite to Bitcoin when Bitcoin price quickly up, it might altcoins down as capital cycles back into Bitcoin and then Bitcoin goes down, they will do the same.

Sooner or later investors will want to diversify with their Bitcoin gains but it’s anyone’s guess when. Choosing solid projects is key as you don’t want to be stuck with a shitcoin.

Safer bet is to stack btc when alt season comes with the profits form trading alts.

the altcoin cycle is still not completely significant. in decades, we only focus on bitcoin, all traders ignore altcoins, only a few are targeted, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Polkadot and maybe I can't name one by one.
There is little hope in the future for altcoins to wait for bitcoin price to stabilize. currently bitcoin is very difficult to stop. go and go leave all the altcoins. or if the altcoin has no chance then transfer funds to the altcoin as soon as possible. Given that in various markets such as BITTREX discontinuation of Monero, Zcash, and Dash is ongoing.

Very soon I believe, Ethereum is now trading for 910$, I believe the higher Ethereum grows the closer we are to altcoin season, if you are still holding your altcoin bags you need to have some patience, also watch out for Bitcoin dominance, once the bar start going down altcoins will be in action

Why wait for altcoin season, its already happening all of the altcoin is following bitcoin dominance and more of them increase its price morethan x2 from what its price back in November last year. So I don't expect more to altcoin right now they already give profit to me enough to say that altcoin season is already started long time ago following bit coin trend .

Yes it is highly expected especially if ethereum moves big because as btc is the first mover for overall market similarly eth is the first mover for altcoins market so it is important for eth to first break the previous highs like btc did and then hopefully other alts will follow.

If you want to invest in Ethereum, I'll advice you to do so already, eth has been doing very well with Btc since last year and now just as Bitcoin has set a new ath, I expect ethereum to do so in a matter of time. You can invest in ethereum without looking too much at Bitcoin's movement, I know most times eth rises and falls with Bitcoin, but the ethereum network and community is getting very strong and efficient, having said all that, don't let FOMO affect your judgement, if you are done with your research, then you can invest and set your expected ROI.

The real altcoin rally is expected to start when btc hits new peak and that is still very far away because of institutional money flowing in the peak will be very high this time so as btc reaches the peak and turns that will be the time when alt party will start in real sense and like btc, alt season will also be very big this time around.

In my portfolio altcoins make up 50% of the assets, so I'm looking forward to the next altcoin bull run.
Hopefully it will come soon, January or February 2021 is the best time I have expected.

The longer it takes, the more time I have to collect more altcoins. The pandemic has struck me hard and therefore, I dont have much money to invest in altcoins or any type of assets for a long term income. Luckily, I have found a great job to keep me alive everyday, and I also earn extra money which can be used to buy altcoins. I hope that it will happen in the next few years.

I think the altcoin rally is imminent, very likely it will happen in early 2021.

We have seen a decline in Bitcoin Dominance today from 73.68 to 70.55 and Ethereum started to rally after DOGE. It can be a sign for us. If BTC dominance goes under 70 today and if we see some other rallies we can say that the altparty is already started. But also Bitcoin should go steady.

Ethereum’s weekend push means that the coin has risen by 20% in the past day and 43% in the past week. Its current price, $912, means that it has a market cap of $104 billion. This is about a sixth of Bitcoin’s market cap; Bitcoin has a market cap of $626 billion, as of this writing.
Alt-Szn is among us once again. All of the alts were up today: Dogecoin by 70%, VeChain by 26%, Litecoin by 17% and Maker by 15%. Even Tether, the cryptocurrency that’s supposed to be pegged to the US dollar, hit $1.02 today.

In a way the altcoin rally is already here. You could see it on ETH and some other coins. Most of coinmarketcap is in the green, even some complete shitcoins like BSV had their good days. BCH is doing great and so is ADA, DOGE and so on. Waves had a big run up in December...

If you made the right moves like bought Waves in November and then switched to ETH 2 weeks ago, you made some nice profit.

I can't expect much from altcoins right now tbh. but the rise in ethereum prices in the last few days could also indicate that we are now in a positive trend. Even though bitcoin is currently on the decline, I'm sure if there is something to be a trigger, then ethereum is the trigger, considering that ethereum is the altcoin with the most users

Of course I hope there will be an altcoin rally like the one in 2017, when the Bitcoin pump finally the altcoins pump too. It seems like history will
repeat itself this year, because if we pay attention slowly, some altcoins have started to follow the increase in the price of Bitcoin. Like Ethereum,
Litecoin and Dogecoin. The three altcoins began to continue to increase in price following the increase in the price of Bitcoin.

We find it different from the previous Bullrun and it is sad to see that altcoins didn't come that strong as Bitcoin keeps rallying high but instead we saw some altcoins just have only a few pumps. I'm not really convinced that we are into that altcoins season even during this Bitcoin Bullrun, it is likely we never meet yet the so-called season.
However, we don't just be negative, sometimes we need to be more patient as it certainly the moment will come momentarily in which we never know when it comes.  Holding is the best thing to do.

They are rallying following the bitcoin momentum and once bitcoin stabilizes and the dominance decreasing a little bit I think we are going to see a huge altseason

Well, the pattern I mentioned showed that the Altcoin rally usually starts one or two months after the Bitcoin price rose. So you assumption was a little bit too early if the pattern still holds. In some cases, however, it already shows that the pattern is still valid. Yesterday and today the Altcoin prices rose significantly more than the Bitcoin price. I am curious whether it will continue and whether the trend will continue, because I think that Bitcoin has reached its peak for the time being and will not mark any further all-time highs in the near future.

Personally, I'm looking forward to a decline in bitcoin dominance in the next two days, as well as the fact that Ethereum will finally beat its ATH.
Given how fast the market is moving this year, this could very well become a reality. In addition, several traders who are reputable to me think so.

I hope altcoin season doesn't arrive just yet. the reason is simple, it's because right now I don't have the right provisions for that. however, right now the assets I hold are very minimal because I had a chance to sell the asset when the price was not that high. Right now, I'm planning to keep a potential altcoin asset back, so that when the time comes, I can enjoy it too.

In 2018, the highest prices were in mid-January, and then we saw a strong drop in prices. I want to believe that history will not repeat itself and the price of the cryptocurrency will continue to grow after January.
Many experts write that the price of cryptocurrencies will fall by the summer, and in the fall we will have a new ATH update.

The situation is quite different to 2018 where the most price increase was due to ICO boom and manipulation utilizing USDT. The current bullrun is more driven by adoption and FOMO. I would not say it is more healthier than 2018 but I do not expect a price drop as three years ago. Nevertheless, I expect a correction anytime soon. That could be the time for Alts to catch up with Bitcoin again.

All you oldies of the forum discussing alts out here and wondering when it will rally are missing the point, including me. LOL. Like some have pointed out, the Alt-coins are already rallying but not the ones that started out with actual projects and have some working product from the 2017 ICO boom. The ones rallying are whichever is the latest "fad".

There were projects like GNT, Sia etc with interesting ideas and which actually have been working for a few years now. Yet, in crypto, the market assigns value to the newest experiments and not necessarily to a product. This is why the strategy of hodling Alts in the hope that they will moon after years of existence doesn't have great chances of success.

Altcoin will have a rally too, but if the altcoin does not have a rally and needs to wait for a long time or let say, next year, we can not do anything, and we can only wait for that will happen. Bitcoin does not reach the new ATH as 2017-2018, and the price still increases, so maybe the altcoin season will need to wait for more.
Altcoin rally will happen this year if history repeats itself which will make next year to be the season for a crypto market correction or blood bath just like we see in the year 2017 but if the altcoin market rally doesn't happen this year that means the institution Bitcoin accumulation have shift every investor's decision to Bitcoin and we may not see altcoin rally until Bitcoin market blood bath happen.

There are obvious things to expect. altcoins always grow after BTC turns into a rocket.
Only here it seems to me that this time the situation will be like that: the altcoin market will explode with growth at the moment when BTC sharply and decisively goes down. People will abruptly run to withdraw money, but not immediately in dollars and in altcoins and thereby create another altcoin season. And something tells me that the winner of this whole story will be Vitalik and projects from CMC top.

I'm not sure about that dude, come one altcoin rally already happened since bitcoin has pumped so hard last months.
The altcoin was following bitcoin since the bitcoin have recovered its price from the bottom price that happened in the first quarter of last year.
Take a look at the CMC and that will be enough to give you strong evidence about how the altcoin rally is happening right now.

As for me, most of the top altcoins have grown very well in price for the whole of 2020 and perhaps in 2021 the altcoin season will be even better than in 2020, but according to the idea, there should be a correction of the entire cryptocurrency market first, so we have to wait for now.

Title: Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally?

If we'll look at the past bull run, the altcoin rally started after the Bitcoin dominance but it doesn't mean that it isn't the best time to invest with altcoins yet. It's actually a reasonable time to accumulate more because anything could happen anytime soon especially when the Bitcoin correction starts.

Of course, we all expect altcoin season to happen as soon as possible. for me personally most of my portfolio is in the form of small altcoins and some of the top altcoins. especially for the top altcoin assets some have experienced quite good price changes and some other altcoins have not experienced price increases in line with the significant price of bitcoin.

No one knows for sure when the altcoin rally will kick in. Though we have price begin to move already in some alts, it's still far from a bull run. From history, alts season normally kick in once Bitcoin is exhausted with its own rally. To gauge this and have an idea when it will be it's better to regularly check the dominance of Bitcoin and that should be when Bitcoin has a less than 60% control of the total market cap. Right now Bitcoin's dominance is almost at 70%. There is still a long wait to alts rally. To get the best ROI, now is the right time fir anyone to buy viable altcoins. Don't wait for FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) before buying. Just buy now!

Hello all,

I think it Altcoins are the way to go because Ether and Bitcoin will become to expensive and will become more stable in price.
The altcoins that have a lot of potential are ADA and especially EGLD.

I think we will need faster cheaper and better smart contract coins that are ready to take the third place.
I am certain that EGLD is the coin that will go 100X in the next few weeks/months.

Just read the info you find I assure you you will agree with what you find.
Invest in coins with a superb team and roadmap and use cases.

Also coins that were sleeping this season because of Corona like an event token Evedo who has a partnership with the biggest event worldwide Tomorrowland and this token is not really known yet just invest and you will see it can go up 1000 times.

EGLD will be a top 10 coin take a picture and read this in a few weeks and be sad because you did not invest.
Make your own decicions but take the advise and read what you find

Right after the low BTC dominance and when the ETH price hits $2000. After hitting the $2k the ETH price will climb to higher levels above $3000 and the price discovery will lead to altcoin season sooner or later. We only need to make wise investment decisions and act professionally not emotionally. ETH price is low still, there is a big room for improvement yet and the patience will pay to the ETH traders who fall in love with the uptrend on markets.

Im not expecting that much because it might that only Bitcoin will really be getting some bullish run now for this year and there wont be some significant altcoin run that might happen.
This is the difference between 2017 and 2020-2021 bull run on where alts didnt really get some movement when it comes to altcoins but it doesnt mean that you wont really be
buying alts for the sake of making profit later on because its really impossible that there would be no altcoin run.Its just a matter of time on when it would happen
So this would be a test of patience and of course with risk taking. Its hard to resist not to get involved purely on bitcoin specially now it is making some good run.

Please pay attention to the current movement of top altcoins, almost all top altcoins are now experiencing a high enough increase. Even Ethereum
has hit a price of $ 1300 which is almost back to its all time high, for me this has proven that alt seasons have started. So still HODL the altcoins
we have today, and continue to watch the altcoins price movement for the next few days. I'm sure some of the top altcoins will make it past
the all time high prices.

The opinions of experts with regards to this question are divided into half. Some will say that the altcoin season has already begun and some of them are saying that it is not yet altcoin season but it's about to happen soon. But if we will look to the top altcoins, they are still going green every day that is why somehow the altcoins can't soar their value.

Seeing that bitcoin is moving sideways this I think is an indicator that the alt rally and alt season is on its way and we will definitely see sooner that the market will continue to have its bullish run most especially the altcoins.

I'm not sure about that dude, come one altcoin rally already happened since bitcoin has pumped so hard last months.

No, it did not. If you're just looking at dollar prices, maybe you mean it. But switch the altcoin prices at Coinmarketcap to Bitcon prices, then almost all altcoins are strongly in the red, which means that they have lost a lot of value compared to Bitcoin. The dollar price of altcoins has only risen because the bitcoin dollar price has risen faster than the altcoins lost in relation to the bitcoin price. So we haven't seen an altcoin rally yet.

Currently ethereum price is around $1,345 and has increased 65% in the last 7 days. When viewed from the data shown by CMC, most altcoins have also increased above 20% in the last 7 days. I think this data can be used as a reference that maybe the altcoin season starts this week? although I'm not really sure about this data, because in my opinion to determine the altcoin rally indicator is still quite vague

Agreed with that. We have already see ETH rallying but the rest of the altcoins are still declining unlike what 2017 shown.
The rally had come to the market sooner, that everyone had to wait for that and not getting impatient. We are already started to grow as this leading altcoin (ETH) is now surging high achieving new ATH. It was a venture to see that some altcoins will follow then next to it.

Where is the guarantee that this year will be the so-called season of altcoins? It is very likely that large investors who have not spared a lot of money to buy cryptocurrencies will not let go of Bitcoin and will simply artificially move it up supporting it

This is not at all like the altcoin season, when their price rises for one day and then decreases again. The price of altcoins should grow in relation to bitcoin, and not just in a pair to the dollar. In the meantime, we see that when the price of BTC decreases, the price of altcoins also decreases.

Bitcoin dominance is still too high for any meaningful altseason to take place.
We need BTC drop to lower levels and crab there for a while for money to start flowing into alts.

to expect an altcoin rally of course someone wants it as soon as possible, the altcoin price hike certainly can't be as fast as bitcoin is happening, and whenever it is a rally for altcoin to be able to raise its price at a higher price it can be anytime, and of course no one will be able to. to know exactly when, we can only predict and analyze the price increase or decrease that will occur in the market, and will not be able to confirm when it will happen.

One bad day when Bitcoin fell from $42,000 to $32,000 and possibly even more. Bitcoin's capitalization has decreased very quickly. We hope good things return soon and Altcoins will rise.
I hope what happened way back 2017-2018 will not gonna happen again. Wherein the market value of top coins such as eth and btc are extremely fell down at the same time the altcoins and did not recover for a long period of time. Such a disaster for the holders/investors of top coins and alt coins.

It seems bitcoin started to recover but it will not bounce back again to the 30k again as the chart looks still bearish at this moment. I do believe if bitcoin are looking for the best rate to did the stabilization for its price. It says that bitcoin has the possibility to get another dump again. Maybe 20k - 30k range will be the new bottom floor for bitcoin.
It's quite difficult for altcoin to rise against bitcoin. Altcoins gets deeper correction than bitcoin.

The situation is quite normal and predictable, given all the past history ;) Just after such a strong growth, there was some correction and some market players just decided to fix their profits, unfortunately this correction affected not only bitcoins, but also altcoins, altcoins corrected in price even more. I think that if bitcoin settles at this level for a while, then we have a chance of tens of percent growth in altcoins.

Can’t be sure when the altcoin season will come. Actually, we’ve just  seen a lot of altcoins  pumping up their  prices when bitcoin  rallies.
And I enjoyed some altcoins I held, also growing with good value. But back then,  altcoins got  stuck when bitcoin dropped the price very
quickly this time to reach $32K from a high of $42k. This is a very rapid decline. The illustration is bitcoin should be stable in the long run,
there may be hope for altcoins to pump long enough.

There are a few factors that suggest it won't happen this time. However, it cannot be ruled out that prices will correct, as they have simply risen too quickly in the past few weeks. We already had the first correction yesterday and I still expect Bitcoin prices well below $ 30k. The only question is whether only Bitcoin will correct so much and whether the Altcoins will also fall heavily.

at anytime they want depending on the manipulators in the market of course.

The price of Bitcoin has risen sharply in the past few weeks, though not proportionately, but at the same time the price of other altcoins, including Ether, has risen sharply. I think the Altcoin rally has already started with the Bitcoin rally and when the Bitcoin price stabilization comes the Altcoin rally will be perfected.
You're right, practice shows that altcoins rise when the bitcoin price is in a relatively stable state. How do you think where the bitcoin price will stay for a while?
correction just happened at 30k usd so expect that btc are going to be stable these days and finally this could be the time altcoin enthusiast are waiting and that is for thier beloved altcoins to rally .

while there are also bitcoin enthusiast that wants btc to go stable . its nice to know that two types of coiners are going to benefit and more confident this way than the other way around  . this also looks unselfish than seeing bitcoin alone soaring high while leaving altcoins behind  .

We have to consider those whales who happened to have some control with alts, they are capable of moving those projects to which
directions that they wanted it to go.

But in past experienced, we saw that each time Bitcoin shows strong run alts are also partying, currently there are movements but
not the same with how things works wayback 2018.

Maybe it will need some more time and it will happened again, very important to know what
project will be moving ahead as Bitcoin and those who are inside top 20 aside from XRP are
really in good shapes.

I expect some but not all the altcoins to rally this year, the market is the bull run and Bitcoin is moving up continuously, top altcoins always follow the movement of Bitcoin I expect some of these altcoins will surpass their old all time high, the first one that will do that is Ethereum who is very near in breaking their old all time high.

I am expecting a sharp decline in the price of ETH, possibly to the $ 600 mark.

This will help me a lot in upgrading my old computer (and for many other gamers).
I have marked that rate too as the possible rate to be reached by ethereum maybe next months. It seems the old history will be repeating for the second time again but the only thing that makes it different if bitcoin will be getting the new bottom rate. I remember bitcoin touched the 4 digits as the bottom rate but this time it looks like 10k range should be the bottom.
My money wanna try to buy back again when crypto will be very cheap again.

The dominance of bitcoin is currently still high, plus the price voting is very influencing making altcoins follow it and cannot be bullish. yesterday we knew that the decline in bitcoin in one time could reach 16% and that made a big drop in altcoins. in my opinion, for the rally you have to wait for the stability and dominance of bitcoin to decline first
bitcoin was still steady at $ 34k and a slight correction but did not last long, then bitcoin has risen significantly again so it is difficult to determine whether the altcoin season is coming in the near future or not. but I personally still believe that the altcoin season is still there and it's only a matter of time.

Alt season will indeed be a question unanswered until now, because we have not repeated it for a long time. It may happen when the price
of bitcoin is at high price stability. When many adopted bitcoin  and many  institutions  have supported  bitcoin. But this  time  we’ve  seen
the altcoin market recover and many are pumping up prices. Genius  traders  will  take  advantage  of  the  current  market situation rather
than having to wait for the altcoin season that does not know when it will come.

we hope the altcoin rally will be able to run quickly and also last a long time. because if it's only temporary it doesn't seem like it will be good for altcoin growth. The rally should be able to last per week, per month or even per year to maintain the best stability of the altcoin price

This time people are only the result from the progress that have been made by the projects to be used as the reason to pump. There are so many newcomers but it doesn't mean the 2017's pump will be coming back again for altcoin.
People are also taking bitcoin as the reason to pump the altcoin too. I have been watching the market anytime and it looks like altcoin can't be pumped the fundamental support from bitcoin.

In my opinion, the rally is already underway. See how some coins shoot in price, 50-100% in a few days. Those who are waiting for a "special" rally may lose their luck if a correction starts.
There is a chance that we will see a rally when Bitcoin's dominance declines, but I doubt it. Everyone expects altcoins to repeat their past moves, but this looks too far-fetched.

^ Definitely right, I think we have already on a rallied price because as you can see there are too many altcoins that also pumped altogether with the BTC price. I think that is enough even though we saw that almost all altcoins were tied up to the price of BTC. Probably because most of the altcoins now are in the pump and dump process and also others are under influenced by most influencer people, once they know it will pump, they will quickly switch to BTC that makes the dominance increased. Nevertheless, I don't care about below the top 20 altcoins, I am focused on the BTC accumulation.

Well, we see some altcoins going up to 50%-100% but that's against the dollar and now against bitcoin. In the last month's bitcoin goes up to +150%, and if the altcoins went down against bitcoin, it even feels like altcoins are part of the fuel to bump bitcoin.

A really Altcoin rally will be when the altcoins start bumping against bitcoin, but when that happens bitcoin will go down slowly. That's how it works, and it should happen soon, my guess is it will happen in the next couple of months.

People are expecting those kind of 100-1000x gains just like in the past this is why these 50-100% movements are just like some joke pumps to them and doesnt even recognized to be an altcoin rally.

Until they do really realize that those are already the gains on where this rally is making off.We cant really see those ICO days like when it comes to increase because its never realistic for it to happen

This is why people should really be changing off their mindset on how things supposed to move nowadays so that they wont really be missing out those chances.

I speculate that Alt will rally between March and April. I'm still waiting for that to happen, me and my friends talked about Alt season that it will come in a few weeks. I hope Bitcoin stabilizes at $50k and Bitcoin Dominance drops below 60%.
to be honest, I hope it comes later in the year. So far, the preparations I have for the altcoin upgrade are not sufficient. however, I am still trying to accumulate assets for the circumstances. To be honest, I pretty much went through the pump that happened earlier this year. because of that, I hope it happens at the end of the year which is likely at that time I already have assets to sell.

Alt coin rally cant be happened while btc bull run is here. All big money are there in case of any pump
There is bullish rally with specific altcoins. This seems to be the reason why it doesn't look like a real bull market for altcoins. As said big money is much into bitcoin, and people expect the market to get a transition as the previous bull market when the entire set of altcoins pumped high without reason. This time it won't happen, because only the right altcoins with best performance are into bull trend.

Bitcoin mantains $50K price while having dominance below 60% could only happen if all those altcoin performs really good and probably scores 3x of its price before the bullrun but it's really difficult. When there's altcoin gets pumped there's also those that gets dumped.
Though current btc dominance is just 60.2% but seeing the market cap gap quite difficult if the top altcoins dont move.

If bitcoin can break above $60000 in the near term I think it will be time for altcoins to rally. I also have my own prediction that after reaching $60000 it can continue to rise to $100000 and when it has reached that level the altcoin will protest non-stop, we will have x10 x100 x1000 very soon.

There are many opinions that the altcoin season has already started, but it is still in its infancy.

The head of the fintech company Exantech Denis Voskvitsov shared that a possible delay could be the actions of the SEC against some altcoins. Here's what he said: "Altcoins can also be hampered by regulators. We recently saw the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) lawsuit against Ripple's leadership bring down XRP."

Another interesting opinion of analysts is that: "in terms of cyclicality, the growth of Altcoins is likely to continue from the second quarter of this year, given the fact that Bitcoin is at its all-time high, and Altcoins are still far from their price records, we can expect significant growth for the Altcoins. "

Now the market is experiencing completely different trends. When it comes to predicting coin pricing, you don't need to rely on past experience. Currently, completely new laws and principles are in force. You can only determine the beginning of the season or its end based on your observations. It is very important to monitor the market and especially the movement of Bitcoin. If you believe the opinions of experts, at the moment the crypto market is in good dynamics.

Therefore, I think that very soon we will see a full season of altcoins.

Altcoin rally happens by itself for now I see altcoins can go up by themselves without the need for full btc help I know the price of btc will affect altcoins but not entirely.
They are not correlated from to time to time but we cant really deny that bitcoin market is really a big factor on making those coins  rise up in the market. It might not really be on
that high extent but at least it do shows up some gains which is already considered as a good thing.Altcoin rally is something to be on next question or priority because majority
of people here on the community does really mind off first with bitcoin going to the moon before anything else but for those who had invested heavily on altcoin will surely
be having those kind of questions and thoughts towards altcoin rally. When it comes to profit extent then we cant deny that alts could still really able to give it.

Now that big companies are involved, it’s much safer than before to trust bitcoin but not al the altcoin project  since altcoins were too many we must only tust those who are still here in the market despite the dumps they have experience before. It can be a new era but we should learn from what happen before that some altcoin did exit scam so only trust projects that are backup by big companies or projects who are tested to be useful.

of course yes and i am sure it will happen, but it will happen after Bitcoin rally, because until now Bitcoin rally has not been completed and is still continuing, therefore altcoin rally has not occurred and my prediction if the price of Bitcoin could reach at least $60k this year, so there will be a really big bull run in cryptocurrency market this year and it will make the price of altcoin increase very high, so now is the right time to invest in altcoin and make a big profit from investing in altcoin at this time.

Altcoin rally doesn't happen by itself cause it precisely happens footing market (traders/investors) decision and this current altcoin rally happen through the help of Bitcoin cause Bitcoin market usually help cryptocurrency market to gain outstanding traffic whenever it halving. However, the momentum and greenish price of Bitcoin during the total lockdown when every market setting was experiencing a dump in price is the reason why most altcoins gained institutional investor's affection.

It all lies in the hands of investors, if they don't have a huge interest in altcoins, we don't expect to see Altcoins will have the rally.

As for now, investors are investing more in Bitcoin a reason why the price remains high while altcoins still at low. But I was not hopeless not to think that altcoins will have some rise. Patience, coz I know that someday these investors will soon consider and sees altcoins potentials. It is just a matter of time that Bitcoin is really hot, a lot of people expecting then than altcoins.

As you know altcoin rally already started. When OP opened that thread was a good time to buy some coins. They made 5-10x shortly after that. I guess we will see another run in a couple of weeks. Bitcoin looks strong over 45k for days. When it makes next move we will see altcoins follow again, maybe in April-May maybe longer run until fall of 2021.

Most altcoins have increased 10 more times since the bull run start
Where do you know this? Any data? You said "most", is altcoin season for some altcoins only?
It is normal if people are still waiting for another rally in altcoins. We also cannot blame them since they also may have their own predictions related to altcoins season.

They can wait for the altcoin to assemble because if the currencies are expected to rise in price they will easily enjoy the season of altcoin. Prices are finally rising in the market with bitcoin and altcoin may be good this year. The market needs to be analyzed properly the bull run is already starting to run in the market.

I agree I guess altcoin season is already in the way and I think we still not in the middle of it. We have a lot of days left before it ends so we should be better to take advantage about it. I notice that every week it continue to rally and Sunday is I think is the best day to buy and Tuesday to Wednesday are days that the btc and other altcoins rally.
Sometimes altcoins pump without depends the price action of bitcoin, if they have some announcement and major upgrades in their respective platforms.

The altcoin market has grown as the bitcoin market has grown. growth starts in the bitcoin pump and once bitcoin solidifies the altcoins will follow suit. Currently, many altcoins are in the altcoin season rally. We've been waiting for this long enough. and many have already paid off on such a long investment in a bear market over the past few years.

The difference is that you are talking about fiat and others are talking about bitcoin. That was something confusing for me as well but then I realized what seems to be the problem, this is why I think it is obvious that we could be not in an altcoin rally even though fiat prices of all the altcoins went up, how?

Well, simply bitcoin/eth pair didn't go up much I think, probably not nearly enough, which means ethereum price against bitcoin was around the same, and bitcoin went up so that made ethereum worth more, whereas we are talking about not that fiat increase, the increase against bitcoin so if bitcoin stays the same against fiat but ethereum goes up against bitcoin that would increase the price of ethereum as well. This is how the altcoin rally should happen according to some people, I do not mind as long as fiat price of it goes up, it could happen anyway they.

Usually, after the main cash flows will penetrate into bitcoin, the landing of large corporations, organizations, and financial companies will drive the price of bitcoin to soar.  On that trend, private investors, individuals and retailers will go into altcoins.  we have seen a bull run together in late 2017. This mixed trend has been repeated, but more different, stronger in the first 2 months of this year.  and for now, will be the next chance for altcoins to come to the harvest season.
ADA, Polygon, BNB have all proven its strength in the last bull run with an impressive increase rate.  I think this year will be a tsunami in altcoin value if bitcoin continues to move to $ 100k.
I hope the altcoin moon season will come in this 2021.

Today, a lot of cryptocurrencies are increasing in value primarily due to the actions of traders and speculators in the cryptocurrency market, and not due to the efficiency of the development team. In this case, capitalization may also increase, but this does not guarantee the continued growth and development of the project itself.

I really look forward to an Altcoin rally but don't know exactly when it will. especially with a small amount of capital, it is very difficult to invest in Bitcoin because the price of BTC has been pumping up massively, therefore the most likely thing with small capital is to invest in altcoins. and I am sure that an altcoin rally will be imminent even if the movement only occurs in a few altcoins.

Yes, I still look forward to the altcoins rally this year, as of the top altcoins, only ETH has been able to show great growth. It is very important for me now how the price of LTC will develop. The fact is that now large funds are buying BTC and other cryptocurrencies, as well as LTC, and it is likely that they will take that its price will rise. Now LTC is at $ 200 for 1LTC, and the previous peak of the LTC price was around $ 360 for 1LTC. As a result, I expect an LTC price in the region of $ 500 - $ 800 for 1LTC.

The investors and traders focus more on Bitcoin because it's the major patronage coin when it total bullish market though some potential altcoin sometimes follows the Bitcoin market trend.

what you are saying is a situation that has happened in the past. and whether it will happen this season. because the current trend does not see how the altcoin rally will occur. bitcoin still dominates. and I am afraid that when the correction occurs, we will lose the moment if we hope that the altcoin rally will occur after the bitcoin rally.
if the correction that occurs in bitcoin will be a large amount. and make altcoins fall. you can be sure that the altcoin rally will not repeat the history you are talking about.

Most likely, the altcoin season will come closer to May-June, when bitcoin is already "tired" of its price growth. However, even now, many altcoins show growth in percentage terms even much higher than bitcoin. Ethereum is currently slowing down in price growth, apparently due to the problem of high transaction costs. Further in the summer, especially in the second half, there will be a traditional calm. However, the peak of growth of the cryptocurrency market should be from the second half of autumn to the end of the year. Then also should show itself after partial update and ethereum.
True, the adjustments may be dependent on specific positive or negative factors and news. As always, they can greatly influence the movement of the cryptocurrency market.

You are right but now the altcoin market isn't even close to what it used to be in past because with the platform Ethereum provided and tokens being made on smart contracts, the altcoin market if combined together is bigger than that of the bitcoin and hence both the markets do not help or cancel out each other. I am sure if bitcoin price drops, almost every altcoin drops but the vice versa is not true because a drop in Bitcoin indicates loss of interest in the crypto in general while a loss in the value of altcoin market is specific to that coin and doesn't tell the overall market situation.

When uniswap token was dropping, it didn't affect other coins. Similarly when it started moving up, no other coin was influenced because they are operating in parallel to each other.

I think in coming years we might see a very vast market with Bitcoin being one asset sort of and altcoins being another. Right now despite the big difference we still see them together and believe one's price affects the other, which is closing out slowly.

I also think that growth will continue after this fall what is happening now is simply necessary as it's time to cool the indicators.

I think there are several scenarios. I guess we will have a long decline, as strong as the rise.
However, there is a possibility that Bitcoin will rebound after the correction and provoke another price increase.

some corrections have taken place but it seems bitcoin is stronger and could bring stability to the market.
or maybe it was just a manipulation made by some of the big investors playing in the market.
the possibility that we have experienced today is the second option. but the correction that happened was not something terrible.

The altcoin really has already started and most coins have shown their own best result. That is right there was also some price dumping among altcoins. However, as l said there are still great altcoins that are getting up day by day. ETH, BNB, XRP are making the best currently, l hope the price of these coins will keep increasing and no exaggeration to say that it is not late to make money from them. They are great for long-term investment. If you would make enough research, l think you can find a lot of altcoins that can be among the best currencies. Altcoin rally will keep doing for a long time, it will not be over in the near future. We have still a chance.

I think this month all of top altcoins in the market starting to rally and they competed each other while they breaking their all time highest (ATH) price.
Such as BTC hit $63k, ETH hit $2,1k, BNB hit $600, XRP hit $1,79. those top 4 altcoins are doing really great in this month.
i personally think that BNB will beat ETH in the near future, and then suddenly XRP became huge and almost beat BNB in the 3rd place.
in my opinion, i think its the best for us to invest our money in big altcoins, and set aside some of your money to invest in cheap altcoins.

Altcoin rally is not started yet. Look and do research to altcoin and compare to 2017-2018 altcoin price, it is just getting in to its real price and now we are sitting in 2trillion dollar marketcap. The real altcoin rally will start after we stop bitcoin bullish which is still on it now. I am pretty sure we can easily reach $100k btc.and after we reach peak btc start going down.
Rally has started since January. The altcoin season is now underway. we can see this from the increase in altcoins which touched the All Time High point.
which indicates that the market is in a bullish trend. Regarding the right time to sell it actually depends on each investor having their own target. There's no time unless they already have a target at what price to sell it
and in this month you can be sure the market has increased quite high. many people have already benefited from the trade and investment they have saved

I think that's not true, so many altcoins have been pumping like there's no tomorrow and if you compare current price and it was when we're still in bearish, we already up and have ROI of hundred or maybe thousands times for coin that aren't top 10 so altcoin more or less already happening.
Even try to see doge price chart, it's already pumping so high the bottom price looks very deep. Doesn't make sense to say that the altcoin rally hasn't come yet.
But if bitcoin bullrun keeps going on maybe we gonna see phase 2 of altcoins rally.

I have a brief theory, I do not know if I will be wrong or not, but it is what I have in my head for a long time, is that we have not yet reached the altcoin season even though bitcoin is launching new ATHs, and that is It is very likely that it will continue to rise, following the logic or pattern of 2017, when bitcoin was in full uptrend, altcoins were also in trend, in 2021 although it is a very different year due to extreme circumstances including a pandemic, I think not The rally or season of altcoins has occurred because not all the whales are in action, I think that the whales of 2017 are not yet participating in the Bitcoin market, therefore they have not protected their money in altcoins yet.
What do you think?

Today, the entire cryptocurrency market is in a bullshore state. in my opinion, the results of all altcoins on the market today depend primarily on the actions of the project team, due to which the demand for the coin in the market increases or decreases. One way or another, all conditions have been created for this period so that all promising cryptocurrencies show good results.
Even if you cite Ripple as an example, as well as the problems that the SEC creates, the coin does not fall in value, because the team continues to conclude contracts with banks around the world.

Best way to get ready for altcoin rally is to check 2 sources:
1. Halving Tracker
https://twitter.com/HalvingTracker
This little bot literally shows where we are exactly in current rally, so its not hard to buy the dip to guess for alt rally to come.
It seems best place to enter crypto markets is around 900th day after bitcoin halving.
2. Altcoin season index
https://www.blockchaincenter.net/altcoin-season-index/
This website shows overall market movements, in overall bitcoin season follows altcoin season and altcoin season follows bitcoin season, so you can get ready for alt season by buying good altcoins at exact place. (November 2020-January 2021 looked nice)
But do your own research eventually.

Since time immemorial when BTC was still below 10 million rupiah, altcoins have always followed the development of BTC.  And 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 are the same.  The increase in BTC has had a huge effect on the price of altcoins in the market.  Hopefully, until next year the price is stable.

Altcoin rally is already started.

If you look into coinmarketcap, btc dominance only 44%.

So it means most of investor or trader put hes money into alts and most of them throw it into dogecoin.

ETH has a somewhat unstable short-term behavior for now, maybe it will go down a bit due to the behavior of Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is in a short-term laterality, however XRP surprises me, there is strange behavior in XRP, this time it has not gone the way of ETH, it has taken another course, perhaps because things with the SEC have been developing not in the direction that XRP wants, but if there is more favorable news, this it has triggered maybe a small rally of 8%, which is not bad at all.

This article gives some very specific technical specifications:

XRP has bounced off the support at $1.35, having confirmed the buyers' presence. From a technical point of view, there are chances to achieve the closest resistance at $1.66. However, one should not expect a fast breakout as the increase is not supported by high trading volume.

I wouldn't be so sure about Doge. There is a very high probability that right now it is being sold in huge quantities to everyone. For me personally, this is a very high-risk asset. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong that I don’t invest in it =)

I have the same inputs but i actually have regretted that i didnt enter or accumulate while its still cheap but hell yeah, who knows that Elon Musk would really be dealing off with this coin or simply making out some
recommendation or deal with it?

This is the hardest thing on dealing with this market is that every events could possibly happen. You wouldnt know on what would happen next and if you dont act fast then you would really miss out the train.

I have been experiencing several similar situations like  this and talking about Altcoin rally? It has been starting on where most alts are making some gains atm.

Bitcoin price has grown massively in the last few weeks, while Altcoins have gained little or even lost in relation to Bitcoin. In the past, after a strong Bitcoin rally, sooner or later an Altcoin rally set in. Do you expect an Altcoin rally this time too? If so, when and if no, why not?
now it seems that altcoin rally is happening, just look at altcoin prices have increased significantly now, this is a balance between bitcon and altcoin because both have increased and have gotten a good rally this season

One of the currencies that catches my attention so far for this bullish altcoin rally have been EOS and LTC, but I want to talk about LTC.LTC joins the most winners of the cryptocurrencies, in fact it achieved a great new ATH, since it rose approximately 41% and may continue to increase, the volume it has that is managed by investors for now is quite a lot, I think that in any At the moment both LTC and the leading currencies will continue to grow, of course the dominance in Bitcoin has decreased this largely favors Altcoins in general.

he cryptocurrency started the month by trading at around $268 (20-days MA). From there, it started to push higher each day until setting the new ATH price today. We can see that Litecoin is trading inside an ascending price channel and is now testing the resistance at the upper boundary.

The problem with Doge is that it currently has a very high inflation. It will decrease in the next decades but demand need to increase at least at the same level as news coins to hold the price. I doubt it will happen in the long term.

I think that the majority of Alts are or their behavior depends on BTC, very few alts are having a bullish emergence due to the large FUD that he received from Elon Musk, this has made the market in general have lost strength, in In this sense, many alts are having a price below the norm, I see that some have reached -20%, it is normal, there are also others that have a rapid-range potential to rise, and are making their own effort, such is the case of VET:

After a failed attempt at initiating an upward movement, it was rejected by the $0.235 area and has been moving downwards since.

It reached the $0.16 area once more on May 12.

My thought is, anytime BTC recovers, if it reaches a bullish trend, surely VET will, this coin is moving in the direction of BTC and it has a quick reaction.

Most likely, the rally in altcoins will continue. Not all coins have dropped significantly in value. The same doge, ada continue to update the high. The current situation does not look like the end of the bullish trend, the cycle is too short after the bitcoin halving. There was also no strong correction during this period. Perhaps just such a time.
