There are numerous websites which claims to double your Bitcoin within 24 hours and I have heard from some of the victims that they just don't allow you to withdraw by asking you to deposit more bitcoin's in order to withdraw this end up cheating you without even returning your capital investment. Just to make their telegram look more genuine there are imposter accounts with names from multiple nationalities. Be aware guys as no one would be able to give you 100% profit within 24 hours so it's a scams and stay away from it. I will share futher details shortly.

The best thing you can do against them is to report the topics stating that they are spamming on the forum. I noticed such posts today as well. I do not report many myself so sometimes when I saw these kinds of posts, I just ignore them. But maybe we all should report such topics before moving on to the next tab.

Bitcoin multipliers are an illusion that is actually a form of scam attempt. Anyone interested in this type of investment will eventually realize that they have been ripped off. There have been enough scam attempts to trick bitcoin users, sometimes these scam work but only the greedy ones become victims. Avoid being greedy, it will only make us fail.

All bitcoin users should be aware of various scam attempts. Scammers keep moving forward in brilliant and brilliant ways that look flawless. Greed will only end badly if only a little. This had been a common problem into this market even up to now because there are still noobs who do continue to feed up these scammers
and able to continue as of todays.

If you do use up your own common sense then you would definitely save up your ass on getting scammed.There's no such thing about easy money
and everything do sound or looks too good to be true then its definitely a scam and dont easily fall on it.

This is not really a Bitcoin problem and the topic title is a bit misleading as it's associating bitcoin directly with scams, which is not the case. Scammers are ripping people off and using Bitcoin as a means of payment, if USD was accepted rather, would it make it a dollar scam? Likely not, it would just be a scam.
If someone chooses to send bitcoins to someone in the hope that they'll get double back after doing absolutely nothing, then that's on them.

The internet is rife with scammers and anyone who frequents the web should have developed security consciousness as it would help in protecting them from scam attempts.

They usually tag I to trading and they refer to one name and add the person Telegram link with large profit testimonies. The problem with people is that they want to use their little money to make millions of dollars which is why they fall for this cheap scams. Do not trust anyone that offers investment plan of huge returns, if it's that easy everyone will be rich.

That is why we need forum like this, many people are scammed because they are ignorant of such scam. Like a day a guy added me and chatted with me on telegram, we chatted and he is a stranger, he later realized he is just wasting his time and chatted me no more. Also was another one also on telegram, that was the first airdrop I participated, I was told to pay vip fee, how would I, but many people will pay that fee and will be scammed.

Some people do not maintain privacy online, not knowing scammers are looking for who to defraud, when they are likely to be a zperfect victim and be scammed. There are also many free airdrops all in the name to earn which most are leading to phishing scam. We need to have more knowledge daily to be able to avoid all these scammers.

Okay, let's be serious here. I've been seeing these so-called Bitcoin "doublers" for years now, I guess now, that the price has skyrocketed they've become a lot more common. Who in the right mind, would send to an anonymous website their money/Bitcoin? Ponzi schemes are literally everywhere, if someone is dumb enough to be scammed like that, he was probably asking for it.

OMG - double in 24h. If they use it on their own with only 1 Satoshi investment then they would have more than 21m BTC in 51 days. So there doesn't exist enough bitcoin that 1 investor with 1 Satoshi property can do this for 2 months. That shows the idiocy and shows that all bots or similar services with high promises are scams. A good bot makes the programmer rich and he wouldn't need any third party investors. Even if they promise to you 15% per month then you would own 21m bitcoin after 10 years if you start with 1BTC.

Daily people ask me to support them to trace the lost BTC from those scammers until cash out at an exchange. Tracing isn't working always and even then you can have bad luck that the jurisdiction of the exchange or of the scammer isn't supporting your jurisdiction. So better stay away in the first place.

In addition if you see post on telegram about users giving testimony please do not fall for it. They are the same set of scammers that comment so as to get people believe and scam them. I have recently witnessed this in a project call pools. They created a scam website call poolzreward and get numerous people scammed by method the op has described. If you don't know what to invest in it is better you keep your money rather than losing it to scammers. More ways to steal people funds are rising everyday

I saw at least five topics in the past 24h. I guess the scammers are counting on people's greed, combined with the $30k Bitcoin.

Of course, all doublers and similar sites are 10000% SCAM! Nobody could legitimately double your money in 24h.

This isn't a new type of scam, it's likely the oldest Bitcoin scam, and it works because people don't think about Bitcoin as money. I'm sure if you offered people to double their dollars, no one would send you any, everyone would understand that it's impossible, so we don't see any "dollar doublers" around, but if people view Bitcoin as some sort of digital tulip for getting rich quick, then it's understandable how they can think that someone will "double" their coins. Or maybe some complete beginners don't even know how Bitcoin works, and they think that new bitcoins are created by doubling.

You just imagine investors hoping to make all profit and gain at same time. Greed is the problem. You expect money to fall to a wallet within 24hours? That is not possible thing to happen at all. Scammers know investors are greedy and they trapping people with juicy things. You want to catch animal, you try to provide the things to bring it closer, this is how it happens. I don't put investment and hope for quick return because investment is gradual process. Don't expect ponzi to be good all the time

Bitcoin doublers have existed for a very long time but it is always good to remind especially those that are relatively new to the market that such scams exists, people need to use their common sense, if something sounds to good to be true then you know it has to be a scam, not even the best traders in the world can get those kind of results and even if we assume there are people that could do that, do you think they are going to create a bitcoin doubler when they can double their own money and then become rich in the process?

This kind of HYIP had been circulating not only in the cryptocurrency industry, so this isn't new at all.  Testimonial of this kind of scheme is always staged.  Other scam companies even buy cars and house and lots for their supposed "role model" just to show how generous and legitimate their program is.  They will try hard to captivate and trigger the person's greed and they will approach any industry just to pull out a scam.  The best thing to do is just ignore them and warn the people around us about this kind of scheme.  And the best shield is not to be greedy.

This is real. my friend is stuck in that mode because he wants to get an instant profit. I warned him, it was a fraud, but he insisted on following the fraudsters invitation. a few days later he told me the funds never came back.

This is not new though, doubler has been in the space for many years. And now that the price of bitcoin has peak to its all time high of $40k, these scammers are also going to pop up like mushrooms in the space. You just have to look at the  Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)board to see how many bitcoin doubler have been reported by several scam busters here in our community (not to count fake and phishing site and scam projects).

This mode of fraud is common and I am not surprised anymore. There are thousands of telegram groups spreading this type of scam and many emails I receive about bitcoin prizes given to me on the condition of making a deposit on a website aimed at by scammers. Even dozens of scammers also contacted me directly via telegram private messages.
Nothing that will provide such easy benefits, no bitcoin giveaway that will come suddenly. Everything is just a hoax created by a scammer, so be careful.

Most people especially the newcomers are here for the quick cash thinking bitcoin is good for that. Without realizing that like any other investment, it takes time for bitcoin to grow and give the buyer a chance to yield the benefits, so they get attracted to these bitcoin multiplier scams thinking it will give them what they needed, but instead be tricked by the scammer. exactly. Bitcoin scams become dumber and dumber nowadays but I guess it caters to its target audience anyway. That being said, people should be more vigilant and more intelligent in taking care of their money. Be it in bitcoins or not

These reports really destroy the image and reputation of bitcoin in the public.

People are getting scared to invest on it because all they know is that bitcoin is a scam and not legit.

We need to report all those scams so that we can somehow help those newbies to become aware and prepared when they encountered that kind of schemes. Bitcoin is never a scam, don't just focus on an easy money, don't be fooled by a free bitcoin giveaway or bitcoin multiplier that you can see online because no one will give you bitcoin for free.

That's what I thought so too, the only thing that they have changed is the part where you do not have to deposit anything to withdraw anything. I would like to refute the part that this not happen in a fiat standpoint, this type of thing is prevalent in fiat or anything, as a scammer you just need to be creative to pull it off, in my country, it is a networking scam that needs you to invest your money and they will double it in a months time and there is also that game scam in Runescape where they really double your money at the start where the amount is so small that would hook them to do more gold in the next transaction and then you will do so because you trust the person and they will scam you then and there.

Scamming is rampant now that is why SEC and the government supporting campaign to prevent this activity succeed but very unfortunate that some people become a victim despite those warnings send online, in social media, news,  and even from friends. I don't see any person to be blamed for this but just themselves. Their greedy soul is so much driving them to get crazy thinking about double and any Ponzi scheme surrounds us.

To be frank I think now is the time for many people to be careful of their Bitcoin and how they go about investing it, because as Bitcoin grows and become more valuable, the more the number of scammers will keep increasing, while they keep using every possible strategy to scam people, and most of the times, their normal way is through promising their potential victims high returns with little capital; it takes someone who isn't greedy to be free from all these scammers. Also, telegram which has made it easy to communicate with people from different countries, scammers are now leveraging it to carry out their scams, thus once you find yourself in a new group, do well to report it and exit as soon as possible. In addition, not only on telegram, once you come across all these sort of Bitcoin investments be it on Twitter etc, just overlook them.

doublers had been around since time, it hasn't yet failed especially if promoted to newbies on social media sites like facebook. there are still people who want easy money, it will really make users send their BTC expecting to be doubled. the pandemic is driving people to scam. shamelessly dong it on facebook with real accounts and when busted, they are the ones going to report you.

Our initial response when encountering these kinds of posts would be to ignore them. Well, at least for us who knows how to spot a scam or a 'too good to be true' kind of project. However, we may be safe but others will possibly not especially if they are ignorant. So the best thing we could do to help those possible victims is to report this kind of schemes as soon as we saw them. And alerting others about it could be of great help.

But, as much as possible, we should just redirect our paths away from these. Upon reading the first line in the OP which is about doubling your bitcoin, that sounds shady to me already. After all, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

In the first place, come to think of it, they have no possible way to gain profit from this but to just simply scam the investor, I had people on my messenger offering me this kind of investment scam wherein if I drop more BTC, I'll double the amount I gave the first time, not the person you'd want to talk to because I don't get scammed so easily and you guys really have to do your research before making a decision, because it's either you'll gain or you will simply lose everything.

I don't trust any bitcoin double because I have a bad experience with that in the past. If that comes to the double, you need to be careful and never try to invest with them because they will run out anytime. If you can hold your bitcoin, you don't need any investment type because holding bitcoin will be the best investment you can have.

But new people will always be interested in the offers that say the site can help them earn more bitcoin shortly because they don't have much information about how to invest in bitcoin. You can do many ways to make more profit by holding your bitcoin, so you need to stay away from that offers.

There are always people who are stolen money from these scam no matter how we warn them seriously. That's why those scamming types are always existed and evolved to new different form. As a very careful investor, I can say that I have never suffered any loss from these scam. It is quite easy to spot a fraudulent model.

This is nothing new, there were scams like these which used to advertise in the forum in the past with fake testimonies and now these scammers are using social media and other chat platforms and anyone new in the market will fall for these doubling scams after seeing all these testimonies and they even respond to your doubts as if they are using these funds to mine bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies  :D.

All these fake testimonies are done to showcase the authenticity of their dastardly act whereas they are fake thus a newbie will easily fall for it, honestly in some cases it may be absolutely hard to convince some newbies that all these act of money doubling are fake until they fall victim of the scam before they will agreed that is fake. honestly scammers had lately been using all forms of tricks via social media to scam investors even YouTube is not exempted, the bottom line is to continue to create awareness about those act of fraudulent activities to the notice of the forum members.

Not only Bitcoin, but Ethereum and other TOP tokens have such scam versions that duplicate official pages, where they promise to double your assrts or get high rewards for simple tasks, they wrote that it is a unique opportunity and it is a great chance and only for you because you are do lucky, more lucky than others. And lots of people on emotions do not try to check the information, for example to ask in official groups wheather it is true or false information, in Discord official groups wheather some airdrop or campaign is going on. In crypto world and with finance it is better to make deep analysis before acting. It may safe assets with a high guarantee.

If you're an experienced trader, you can gain 100% of your profit within weeks. But there's some traders who gain 100% of their profits from trading from uncontrollable pump. On the other hand, If you the case is a yield farm, staking or lending feature, 100% profit gain within 24hrs is a crappy scam. It takes several months to gain 100% of your profit if you compound it from the start.

Lately I have been seen this kind of scams in YouTube adds relating to Ethereum.

Scam like send 10ETH and we send back 100ETH.
Send 100ETH and we sent back 1000ETH +10%.
And so on…
Always 10x gains. I think someone who as that amount of tokens should know best, but we never know.

Whenever I saw this, I try to report it to YouTube, but the options are few.
Sometimes I can downvote, but other times that option do not appear. What I do is to flag it as inappropriate.
Don't know if this is the right option to follow, but its the only one that YouTube provides.

Scammers are everywhere, they are aware of everything that might be ask so they able to prepare something to trap you
up in order for you to believe.

Good in the sense that they've already taking things in advance, knowing that they can fake things up and make you believe
that the business are really exist as testimonies from fake members are all written perfectly.

Just keep in mind that nothing will be earned easily especially in this industry. No one will give you a chance to get something which will require you time and money, in exchange for an easier way. Such thing does not exist. In order to avoid such scenario, be realistic and avoid taking the shortcut to success. You'd be foolish if you will seek for that easy way than to go with the usual path. Many people nowadays are using the popularity of cryptos in fraud which victimised many people inside and outside this industry. This thing cannot be stopped in an instant so better educate people in your surroundings, or yourself, to not be fooled by other people. That's how simple it is.

Youtube is also a medium that is very widely used by scammers to create fake giveaways or double bitcoin and ETH assets. Some even believed and sent some BTC and ETH. But what is more than advertising on youtube is hacking into Twitter accounts of famous people with blue ticks and then posting the same thing about asset multiplication. The case on Twitter got excited and the hacker was caught.
The latest scammer fraud mode is increasingly varied and more organized, therefore be more vigilant and don't believe in all forms of a giveaway about your winnings or multiplying assets quickly.

Although the bitcoin double scheme very old scam method, but it still new for newbies whoever just entering on bitcoin lately. Surprisingly I have been adding such as telegram groups, I just report them and leave group or channel. Even though I hadn't made a post on the forum, but I have noticed many such threads. Yes, we need to create more awareness, so at least forum users would realize about that scam method and they could save their valuable assets. I have been reporting bitcoin doubler threads with referral links if found. Everyone should do the same IMO.

Almost all social media including telegram, which is currently a messaging platform that is widely used by crypto activists. I even received up to dozens of private messages that came to my ketegram about investing and asked for help with making withdrawals on condition that I made a deposit first.
Learning from the experience will keep everyone safe and don't get into the trap a second time.

This is true. I once fell victim of scams like this. I was a newbie then and I was excited about the promise of having my coins doubled in just 24 hours only to realize that I was asked to deposit even more to make a withdrawal. I had done that twice before I realized it was a scam.
Well, my advice for newbies is that it is impossible for you to get your coins doubled by anyone. It's a total scam. Don't be deceived by that.

Those people who are victims of this scheme are those who doesn't know what cryptocurrency is, and they want to have money and earn money in an instant or in the fastest way that they could. I experience that thing too in my younger years, hyip is my hobby wayback 2017, I will invest 1usd and wait for it to double within a day or less but then most of time, website is gone after hrs of running and we will left without nothing, we should teach them if they are willing to learn and to correct their bitcoin understanding.

This is very common in chat groups from telegram, where they will promise greater gains for people who would deposit money on their bitcoin address, which of course is something they wouldn't do, since there is no way in hell someone would be able to double your money within 24 hours, unless they have a gambling cheating trick which they abuse. Yeah, it mostly caters to people who just got into crypto and do not know their way yet, so it definitely causes this negative feedback loop on cryptocurrency's part as this disallows these people to trust the industry.

Not only on this cryptocurrency market but these things had already been existing into those traditional markets that we know or shall we say, before this market had existed.

Due to human being's lack of knowledge and extreme greed on things this is the common result or situation that these people do experience.

When we are noobs, we do really lack of knowledge of everything and when you do tend engage to get involved on a new place that you havent known then its just normal
that you would really be committing out mistakes due to that lack of knowledge but with common sense you can eventually able to search things up and able to avoid

As long as your friend learned his lesson and he only invested a very small amount of money this could be an incredibly instructive lesson for him, I think that a great deal of us have lost some money to scammers but as long as you learn to never trust in scammers again you can consider that money as the price you had to pay to not be as naive and to protect the rest of your capital from other scammers, however there are people that never learn and keep thinking there is a way to make money fast on the markets and those people are the ones that keep getting scammed until there is nothing of their money left.
