Title: Type of people who buy bitcoin.
Post by: TheBitcoineers on March 25, 2021, 11:08:12 PM
Hello. So, I was wondering if bitcoin is something that only the privileged and elite who have extra money leftover can invest in or not. Are normal people working minimum wage buying bitcoin, even if it is a small amount? Thanks.

I can't speak of other countries as I do not know the situation of things there. In my country, people just focus on getting a bit of btc, no matter how small, they try to get some funds in regardless of how much they earn or if there financial situation is good.  That is why I will forever be grateful for the fact that Bitcoin has smaller denominations and you don't necessarily need to own a full Bitcoin (1BTC or more) to be part of the community.  I do have a friend without a strong financial background but he was always offloading a portion of his tiny salary to buy btc between the range of $3.7k to $7000. Today, he's good with holdings.

I think this is one of the privileges of Bitcoin (and of course other cryptocurrencies). Everyone has the same right to buy Bitcoin. Even in Exchange Local in my country, we can buy a minimum BTC with less than 2$. Of course, the amount of money spent usually will affect the amount of profit we get. The bigger money we use, the opportunity to get a bigger profit becomes higher. But it is directly in line with the risk that will be accepted.

But what is certain is, never use the daily money needs to buy Bitcoin. However, we can set aside a little by little from the wages that we get to invest in Bitcoin. This is what I did. But of course, everyone must reset first before truly going to enter the world of Cryptocurrency.

In summary: You can buy bitcoin as long as you have money regardless of your financial situation, and remember that you can buy fractions for a bitcoin. Regardless how crappy and how low-paying your job is, as long as you are able to save some money, then sure you can buy bitcoin. But of course, obviously the wealthier people would be able to take advantage of Bitcoin more; just as with any other investment.

I think majority here will agree that everyone is just an average joe investor. So no, your mindset is your, bitcoin is for everyone, not just for the elite or those who have a lot of money. If course if you have deep pockets you have an advantage here, but it doesn't mean that normal people can't invest on bitcoin, you just have to start with baby steps and then continue to accumulate bitcoin overtime.

Just look at this chart:

This would be hard to survey, at least accurately. If you think about any type of invest, and you consider the Gamestop, and various other movements recently, there's always a wide range of people who get into investing. Bitcoin, at the very start was certainly for those that were more tech savvy, and its evolved as a more open minded currency. I still think its not on the mainstream consumers level, but those that are either willing to take risks, in order to earn a lot or those that believe in the technology. Now, those that are willing to risk a lot, to earn a lot could be from either background. However, from my observations those that come from poor backgrounds are more likely to risk higher amounts of their income for possible returns. As opposed, to those that come from rich backgrounds, who carefully invest, and when they do invest its usually not a large portion of their net worth.

Lets just pretend that we could survey the general population of Bitcoin accurately, I would expect to see more people from poorer backgrounds than I did in 2011. I would also expect more consumer level, as opposed to tech savvy people back in 2011. If we were to compare Bitcoin to altcoins, then I would expect the altcoins industry to have more people from poorer backgrounds hoping that they can catch the "next Bitcoin".

I do not know, but the way you frame the question makes it seems that you think you can only buy full bitcoins and this is not the case, you can buy small amounts of it, the only issue is that due to the high fees if the amount is too small it could cost you more the fees than what you want to buy, however people from all walks of life buy bitcoin, but as it gets more expensive then you need more cash to buy one whole bitcoin to the point that only a minority of people can afford bitcoin now, but if you had come to this market years before it could have been affordable to almost everybody.

The word "normal" isn't applicable because if you will think, there are some abnormal persons then??
I think the exact word is "average" people. Those who aren't that rich and not considered as elite like most of us here.

I'm an average person and for sure there are others here who aren't considered privilege and not belong into the elite families but somehow manage to buy and hold Bitcoin. Average people who are having a minimum wage salary can still buy Bitcoin. Anybody can buy Bitcoin but it will depend on the person itself.

Does he have extra money to buy it? Does he know where and how to buy Bitcoin? Is buying Bitcoin will not affect his daily lifestyle or daily life? Some of the question that people have different answers but in general, anybody can buy Bitcoin.

Who said that to you, you shouldn't think so, satoshi didn't say so.

Everyone can own Bitcoin even if he is not an elite person or something.
The gist: Bitcoin's purpose is as below.
Quote
Bitcoin is money, and money is always used for both legal and illegal purposes. ... Bitcoin is designed as a major step towards making money safer and at the same time serving as a form of protection against financial crimes.
For example, bitcoin cannot be counterfeited at all.

So, everyone can own it and use Bitcoin even though he is a person who has minimal income.

Bitcoin initially was developed as a payment method, it was not a investment or speculative asset. So Satoshi created bitcoin for this purpose then it's for everyone. Although bitcoin has evolved in the last 10 years, the tenant still remains the same, whales, average Joe traders, working people is free to join and 'invest'.

Are normal people working minimum wage buying bitcoin, even if it is a small amount? Thanks.

Yes, you can still manage to do it even if you are a normal minimum wager, you can try DCA,

Yes, my friend, even if you only have a small amount of money, you can invest in a small amount of Bitcoin hoarding, because the appreciation of Bitcoin is huge, you don't have to worry about whether it rises or falls every day, just as a long-term investment.

I don't know what you think about Bitcoin , but if you think this will be your literal "Investment" then why worry about that Small amount of investing?

If you will take a look back in last year ,Bitcoin price lowered the value down to 4k , and just with in almost a  year? the price climbs up to more than 15x , so why hesitate to invest here?

Don't worry about how much you are investing as long as you can afford to lose it. I'm religiously investing like $0.5 every single day since 2018 whatever the price. Bitcoin became like my personal piggy bank. It's not much if you think about it but do the math and you'll realized how big this can be. It's better if you are earning more than you need.

You should save the small amount of money and invest in BTC by batch so that you will not hurt by transaction fee. Besides that, The minimum amount of investment in BTC is very high due to the transaction fee amount and exchange minimum deposit. Honestly, BTC is not that much low budget investors friendly. Much better to invest on small caps if you have low budget.

Different types of bitcoin buyers
- Buyers who buy after their investigation on bitcoin (technology, usecases, adoption, future growth)
- Buyers who buy after being convinced by the others (talk, discussions, news, media, pump & dump signal groups). They don't have knowledge, don't do investigation. Only buy based on recommendation and hope for luck.
- Buyers who bet their lives with bitcoin but use their own money. They don't take loan to buy bitcoin.
- Buyers who bet their lives with big loan to buy. They are one of worst buyers.

Quote

Buy the fraction of bitcoin with small money you have. Satoshi said.
Eventually at most only 21 million coins for 6.8 billion people in the world if it really gets huge.

But don't worry, there are another 6 decimal places that aren't shown, for a total of 8 decimal places internally.  It shows 1.00 but internally it's 1.00000000.  If there's massive deflation in the future, the software could show more decimal places.

If it gets tiresome working with small numbers, we could change where the display shows the decimal point.  Same amount of money, just different convention for where the ","'s and "."'s go.  e.g. moving the decimal place 3 places would mean if you had 1.00000 before, now it shows it as 1,000.00.

Bitcoin isn't for a small social group solely. I believe it's for the type of people who worry about their future and the future of those they love and care for, doesn't matter if you are rich or poor. You don't need to worry about your investment size, because even some hundreds of thousands of satoshis worth the purchase. Keep in mind there can be only 21 million of btcs in the world and many of them are already lost, so there is a lot of potential the currency is going to increase much more in price as demand (adoption) increases, turning the investment you make today very profitable tomorrow.

That is why bitcoin has a small fraction and the smallest is 1 satoshi. You can invest even 1 satoshi if you want, but if you have a job, it is reasonable if you invest at least 2-3% of your monthly earnings invest on bitcoin. But this upon on the willingness of people because there are types of people who always afraid of investment. In short, we had a different mindset.

There is no problem if you are the type of person who has a source of income in the minimum wage, if you can afford to invest, just go for it.

Everyone could buy and use it,
No matter how rich or poor a person is they could use it and earn from it.
It is for everyone not just for the rich we don't need to own 1 whole BTC we could just buy or hold what we could afford.

certainly, the ones who can afford are buying BTC, the rich ones are buying BTC because they are also investing. you could also say there are criminals also buying BTC.

it all depends on how efficient you are in managing your expenses. Bitcoin is not meant for the elite or the privileged, it is for everyone. You can invest a minimum of a dollar or whatever you can afford to spare every month. In my country, you can buy Bitcoin for as low as $2 from a local exchange.

As the USD value of Bitcoin increases, it will be hard for anyone to buy 1Bitcoin but you still can buy a few satoshis every month and in the near future those satoshis will get converted into 1Bitcoin if continue to buy.

Bitcoin is not an investment for people with different financial backgrounds to invest in or not! Bitcoin is a currency that you should use when you feel like the financial sovereignty that it offers is something you need.

I think even a normal people who earn minimum wage daily can also buy bitcoin as one of their investment and make it as good opportunity to make their life better just like what the other have experience.

Buying bitcoin isn't always for rich who has excessive money as long as we want to invest there we cant buy bitcoin because bitcoin price is not always in the right place; we can buy sometimes in lower price and we can sold it in high price to make good profit on it.

Bitcoin don't have a specific people to purchase it, everybody are entitled to buy at any point provided that your money is available and also a particular amount you have can purchase the same value of cryptocurrency you want, according to the kinds of cryptocurrency you have in mind to buy, so if you were having interior motive that its a reserved money people use in buying Bitcoin is a capital lie, it's like investment, you can invest with any format of life in order to certified willingness into what ever you have as a plan.

Bitcoin is not so unreachable currency. Anyone can buy and sell Bitcoin. People invest in BTC even with a small amount of money. It may be not the case in your country and it can cost more money than other countries because of exchange rates. If we consider that Bitcoin was cheap in the past, so it is not the case that only privileged and elite people can buy.

Well there's no exclusivity in terms of who can buy Bitcoin.
Even those below middle class have the means of access to it, be it a personal trade and hold their coins in a cold storage so that they won't be required to be connected to the internet to access their coins.
Though it isn't to be expected that one whole coin would be bought though.

Just don't check who is buying bitcoin and in how much amount everyone is accumulating. The important thing is how much bitcoin we are accumulating. Most of us are not whales so we cannot buy more bitcoin but that does not matter. Anyone can buy Bitcoin even as a low or minimum wage earner by just buying small fractions of them in the form of satoshis. Same thing with other cryptocurrencies where we could buy what we can afford to lose. Some of my friends who are just working for minimum wage even buy small fractions of Bitcoin from time to time and keep accumulating it along with other altcoins.

the reality is that bitcoin being an investment makes people who enter this market have to have money, a poor person who does not have food will not take the money that could buy food to invest in bitcoin. and in the case of bitcoin the situation becomes more complex and difficult for poor people if they want to buy bitcoin

example from my country:

imagine an employee earning $50 minimum wage. this person decided to buy bitcoin, but just to buy bitcoin using a debit card this person must have 50 $, they do not accept value below $50 and have the fees, so that person would have to borrow some money or stop eating for months to join money to be able to buy bitcoin

Actually a normal people who are having a minimum wage can acquire bitcoin and also students. I'm a student and I am acquiring bitcoin way back when the price is around $13,000 and it is proven that students and also people who are working for a job is also applicable on having bitcoin because as long as you have some extra money, you can buy bitcoin little by little. You don't need to buy a 1 whole bitcoin but you can buy a little piece of it and you can also called it as an investment. It's more likely when you are buying a stocks, even though you've buy a cheaper stocks but later on it may grow up.

Anyone that has money can buy Bitcoin (granted they know how).  The only difference is that they wouldn't necessarily buy it even if they had money since it's an issue of whether they should even buy that or not. It's a matter of priority in this case I suppose. The most comfortable level to those who want to buy Bitcoin would probably be people who have jobs, constant ones that pay pretty well as well as having not much expenditure when it comes to expenses. I'd reckon some people have proper jobs yet can't earn properly due to them paying bills and the like of family members.

Hello. So, I was wondering if bitcoin is something that only the privileged and elite who have extra money leftover can invest in or not. Are normal people working minimum wage buying bitcoin, even if it is a small amount? Thanks.

You don't need to be a financial or economic expert to conclude that there are people who can't afford to buy Bitcoin because they earn so little that it doesn't even cover their basic living needs. They don't care if the price is $100 or $10 000, the only thing that matters to them is that they can put some food on the table every day, because there are people who are practically starving, and statistics say that almost half of the human population is hungry, and about 10% literally die of hunger because they don’t even have a plate of rice a day.

On the other hand, those elites you mention have the money to live a hundred lives, and they don't care too much what the price of BTC is - they just want to get into the game, and they will pay regardless of the price. However, we cannot say that people did not have enough time to invest in BTC at far lower prices than is the case today, because back in 2016, 1 BTC could be bought for less than $1000.

Have you heard who millennials are? According to statistics, they are the most popular Bitcoin buyers. But this does not mean at all that the older or, on the contrary, the younger generation are not fans of bitcoin. Today, the popularity of bitcoins is growing at a high speed, information about it is spreading from all sides, so those who are informed in one way or another try to invest in bitcoin as much as possible. There is no need to think that bitcoin is intended for some privileged segments of the population, on the contrary, you must always keep up with the times and try to regularly buy bitcoin, despite and not being afraid of its growth or decline.

Anyone is welcome to invest in bitcoin regardless of your status in life.

So as long as you have the money to buy bitcoin then you can engage yourself in crypto world, because there's no discrimination here.

The advantage of well-off investors are, they can accumulate more even the price is expensive while average users (like me) needs to timing the market to take advantage the correction.

It won't be that easy for the developing countries. They are still striving for the daily needs to they could just hope or dream for the bitcoin one day. I mean the denominations for the different countries are as follows and but not limited to them only!

1 BTC = 1,98,74,824 Nigerian Niara
1 BTC = 40,00,000 INR

I mean one is under developed and other is almost modest country but there currencies are off the chart when compared to the Bitcoin.

You see owning whole BTC is big challenge. Im sure everyone can buy bits, but considering the fees and conversion rates, pssshh, that would sweat the butt!

If you mean the elite people alone can buy it. it is the wrong thing, even those who really want to trade with $10 capital can already buy bitcoin on binance.

It won't be easy for some, but it ain't impossible either. Now, it's going to be completely up to them if they would adjust their lifestyle for them to be able to stack more sats or not.

As for conversion fees, they're percentage based though. So if the money you're converting is low, the fees(in fiat value) is going to be low as well. As for owning one whole bitcoin, seriously, while it's a good goal have, people should stop becoming too obsessed, thinking that having one whole unit should be a requirement or something.

Bitcoin is considered to be the hedge against fiat currencies which the reason why institutional investors and companies like Tesla also invested and accept Bitcoin as payment because we are in a situation where fiat currency has a denying real interest which makes it lose value.
The only thing a minimum wage individual can do is invested a fraction of her earning into Bitcoin rather than saving her fund in the Bank

If you have some extra money, you can buy bitcoin, no matter how many in the quantity. But due to the high fee, it would be a waste of money to buy bitcoin on a small scale. In my country, I know a guy whose salary is about $400 but still tries to save $50 each month for his wet dream with bitcoin, lol. And I do respect this man.

However, I believe that there are lots of options for people with small wages, such as Ethereum, Binance coin, etc. But first, you need to dig deep for good information and also remember to buy during the dip. You might suffer a huge pain if you choose to buy on a peak.

I think it is people who think a lot about the future and find the current situation unsatisfactory. you need courage for change, technical understanding and healthy skepticism, then bitcoin will be a solution. It is also important to want to take a risk, because we do that in the short term ... for more than a decade I see it as a minimal risk.

The problem with majority of the common investors is that they do not want to take much risk and i am not expecting people to invest when the price is this high. It is not about technical understanding as there are none to identify why and when the price will rally unless you have huge investment coming in and small time investors will be cautious about the high volatility as well.

Hello. So, I was wondering if bitcoin is something that only the privileged and elite who have extra money leftover can invest in or not. Are normal people working minimum wage buying bitcoin, even if it is a small amount? Thanks.
Anyone can buy bitcoin as long as they can afford to. It's not like you have to be extremely rich or privileged to buy bitcoin. People with minimum wage can also invest in bitcoin as long as they are willing to lead a frugal life and save every penny they can in bitcoin. You don't have to buy one whole bitcoin. You can buy fractions of bitcoin. Try saving like $25 bucks a week and you will have around $100 to invest in bitcoin by the end of the month. Keep doing this and you will invest around $1,200 in a year. That $1,200 might turn your life around in the future who knows.

I guess even if it is a small amount as long as you know what you are doing and know the potential of bitcoin you could still buy it and invest in it. I just started in bitcoin with just buying 20$ of bitcoin weekly and then just started from that 20$ to buying and selling my bitcoin when the price is pumping and when the price is dumping. If you do that in the past years continuously you could easily earn a good amount of profit today considering the market price of bitcoin today is around 50k$ and way back it was just around 400$ so you could easily earn a profit as long as you know bitcoin and buy it that time.

No, absolutely not, bitcoin isn't for the elite or rich people alone, bitcoin is for everyone in the world who believes in the technology, also I think  people who are able to live comfortably on their money wage and still have some left over can  buy bitcoin, i believe they are alot of them out, it's not mandatory that someone must own 1 bitcoin, even if you buy piece by piece or own a few million sats you're okay, you don't need to buy one buy at a time.

Yes, I agree. Bitcoin is not only for rich people. All people have the same right to buy Bitcoin. It is just a matter of the amount of Bitcoin you are able to buy. Not everyone has the financial power to buy high amount of BTC (especially when the price is too high).

Well, yes they can. If they have an extra amount and they are crypto enthusiasts --perhaps they will purchase bitcoin even a small amount and save it like your monthly saving that can be used in the future when you needed most financially. There is nothing wrong if you are normal people that earned a minimum wage monthly, even me, I am working at a minimum wage to sustain my family, and sometimes back then when the bitcoin price was down too much I can still manage my money to invest in bitcoin. It is a good investment at all.

There are people who still starve themselves to get bitcoin in their wallets regardless of the economical situations in the country. Why not, they have a chance to buy bitcoin. Actually there is no limitation amount to buy bitcoin. Although you just have $10 in your wallet you can buy bitcoin with that. This is why, I always support for those who want make a saving money and I'll recommend bitcoin as their saving place. If they have money per week even per months they can buy bitcoin with the money that they can afford to lose. Why is the popularity of Bitcoin rising so fast, because Bitcoin can indeed be bought by anyone according to the finances of each person.
It doesn't have to be rich people who can invest in Bitcoin, but poor people can buy Bitcoin. It depends on how we manage the money we have,
if we are right in managing the income we get, we should be able to buy some of Bitcoin. Maybe it's just people who have no income at all
who can't buy Bitcoin. Because as long as we have income, should be able to buy Bitcoin.

Anyone can buy bitcoins. As the other members say, you can buy any fraction you can. It is better than having fiat money in any bank account is what I think. How much profit can you get with fiat in a year? You can also diversify your portfolio with some altcoins and you will see a good profit.
If you have been excited about buying bitcoin, I think it is a good choice. Now bitcoin has more support from large investors who have the idea of investing for the long term.

There may be the following kinds of people buying and selling bitcoins: 1. Technical school: They are interested in blockchain technology, and buy and sell bitcoins on this basis. 2. Miner: Needless to say, it is actually a branch of the technical school. 3. Speculators: I heard about the myth of Bitcoin's wealth creation and entered the currency circle, but they are basically all leeks. 4. Professional: a trader who has worked in futures or foreign exchange transactions, etc., understands some basic knowledge, has investment experience, and enters the currency circle to make money;
In summary, I think even as an ordinary person you can buy a small amount of Bitcoin as a long-term investment.

From the previous ATH I pulled out and make another chipces that is trying to trade even though it's much riskier. But knowledge gives you a potential to avoid mistakes and losses

Anyone can do it but should learn it before doing it, and you can do it from a small amount to invest in bitcoin if your income is limited.
do it gradually and buy in a position the bitoin price drops slightly and that way your investment can grow even though gradually in a small amount.
Don't waste this opportunity because even if you have limitations with your income, your intention is a good move and you will enjoy it when the bitcoin price goes up.

Sometimes I have wondered why bitcoin does not reach more common people, because adoption does not grow where it has to grow, ordinary people, otherwise it is being given by the institutional, investors.

And the reason lies in your question, basically misinformation or the belief that you can only buy bitcoin and the most poor believe that it is for an exclusive target of people rich. As long as the minimum unit satoshi exists, there will always be the possibility of being part of Bitcoin.

That is a difficult to answer because minimum wage varies per country and in my country, minimum wage isn't enough even for daily needs for a month, if you are frugal enough you might have some surplus in money but it won't be enough to consider investing that surplus money in bitcoin. I would say that if the person that is working a minimum wage doesn't have any responsibility such as a family or children then maybe if that person can live in a low maintenance for a month then that person might be able to afford to save money to invest bitcoin little by little.

That will be something to consider, some were having the interest to buy Bitcoin but money gives a hindrance to start.
If you only have a minimum salary, I don't think the investment will be their priority but it is likely to prioritize the basic needs of the family. That really be hard in a situation like that, and I don't want to suggest then committing a loan for this sake because that will only give additional problems later.

Bitcoin has never been for any specific type of person or status at any point in time and there isn't a fact that is going to change about this. Like every other currency, bitcoin has other denominations and this was done as to create the vacuum for other minor investments. So, you don't necessarily need to buy 1 bitcoin at $66k, no you can buy as little as you can afford. You have the Btc, mBtc and Sat option to take up an investment with. A friend asked me a few weeks ago if he could buy bitcoin with at least $25 and I said yeah, by all means.
Most times the restriction or obstacle lies in the know how and not necessarily the finance. Especially in crypto ban nations where your at risk using your credit card in buying cryptos but, thats where the p2p option steps in. You just get to know how to use it.

Yes, it is. They will use that money for the family first. If they can have some money, they can use it to invest in bitcoin to get a good return in some time. That means they save their money in bitcoin form and not save the money in the banks because I do not think that they will get good interest from their savings. Taking a loan will not be recommended for all people because it will be too risky to pay back the money monthly.

I think people are aware of having the investment right now, but most of them do not know how to select the investment instead follow the other people suggestions. It will be too risky for them because they will not know if that investment can profit or scam them.

Well, that depends whether he has wife and children. If single, then I don't think money would hinder a minimum wage earner to invest in Bitcoin.
I taught one of my colleague to invest while he's still single. He's a slightly above minimum wage earner but still manage to  invest 20% - 30% of his salary to Bitcoin and he's doing it for almost 6 months now. I have many acquaintances who do not want to buy BTC and not because of its high price at the moment, no, they just do not believe in BTC. Yes, they are surprised when I tell them about BTC, but they do not want to buy it, because they think that it is a waste of money. Anyone can buy bitcoin even if they are rich or poor. The only condition is to have money that you will use for buying bitcoins. Actually, buying small amount of bitcoins will result to small amount of earnings since it a low risk type of investment but if you will invest a large of money it will be high risk since it will greatly affected because of the fluctuation.

Purchasing of Bitcoin is always open to all classes no matter which class you do belong as long as you do have the funds to purchase it they you have the capability to have one or more than that and even just a small part of it. On the old times and early years of Bitcoin existence normal people can have the capability to purchase even 1 Bitcoin but as time goes by, the price gets more expensive giving the rich or elite groups to have an upper hand over the normal people but still normal people take part of the big population of those who purchase and trade or invest with Bitcoin. It doesn't really matter whether you are just a normal people or a rich one because what matter the most is that you have the funds to purchase even a small part of it and do manage to make it big as you get along in your journey.

the most popular local crypto exchange in my country has a minimum limit for BTC orders around $0.69.
according to this, I can say there's a demand for small BTC orders on that exchange.
the minimum wage here is around $200 per month.
this exchange already has almost 3 million users.
it is just 1% of the total population of my country.

IMO, bitcoin (in general) is for all, but bitcoin transactions might be not for all.

I'm pretty sure not only the privilege one can buy it, i mean everyone can if they are willing to save their money to buy bitcoin. Or even, people can still earn bitcoin without buying it, like joining signature campaign or something. It's free, you just need to work hard and earn those coins.
Although it might be easier for the rich to buy bitcoin, since the price is so high and might be unreachable for some people with low wage. But still it's not like it's impossible to do. There are a lot of way to get bitcoin without buying it, and those who can't afford btc by buying it might be able to try those things instead.

Indeed, there are many ways you can get bitcoin for free. However, currently it is not easy to get it and the number of bitcoins that are obtained is also very small. Unlike in the past, there were lots of bounties and airdrops that gave a lot of bitcoins when the price was still under $100.

Now getting coins for free seems a waste of time because there are so many rules and very little amount. If you have enough money or just a little bit, you can buy bitcoin gradually. Purchasing in stages is also called an investment in installments or buying it every week. it will also be profitable when the price suddenly starts to rise.

Bitcoin is totally expensive if you think of its price but that doesn't mean that it's only for wealthy people because bitcoin is made for everyone. Of course, those only who can afford can have it either you take money from loans or from your hard earned savings. But the more you have money, the bigger the  opportunity to invest in bitcoin. You can still earn bitcoin from signature campaigns but it will take time for you to earn that amount to pay the price even a fraction of it.

I will say the types of people who buy Bitcoin are the liberated souls and those who are open minded to loads of things including technology and all that it comes with. It will wow you to know that loads of people are yet to tap into the Bitcoin network both as investors or as workers and they are actually over qualified for it.

Hello. So, I was wondering if bitcoin is something that only the privileged and elite who have extra money leftover can invest in or not. Are normal people working minimum wage buying bitcoin, even if it is a small amount? Thanks.

I followed the bounty and airdrop from the results I set aside to buy bitcoin, and I was grateful I enjoyed the profit when bitcoin was $ 50k,
Don't ever be pessimistic about the rich and big investors, man, sure what people say, why can't we! they can buy and have bitcoin sure we can even though the free way

Just like saving cash, any amount is good as long as you do it consistently. Bitcoin's price is increasing over the years so you are not just saving but also you earn when its value increases. There could be bear season but if you have strong mind to not panic sell then it will benefit you a lot in the near future. I myself is also buying bitcoin monthly from my salary. Whatever the price is I always buy 40$ worth of bitcoin monthly since last year. Bitcoin has still a lot to grow now that many institutions are looking to invest on it.

Everyone can access or buy Bitcoin even if they’re not that rich, if you have an extra money for the minimum wage you earn from your salary then you can just slowly buy Bitcoin with the amount of fiat money that you have. Just make sure Bitcoins price is not increasing though so you can alao do averaging at the same time. That’s what I did back in 2017 when I still haven’t had enough money to buy Bitcoin and was earning the minimum wage, but I still did profit from it by hodling them until now.

When it comes to the buying of bitcoin, i has nothing to do with the class. I know many people who are rich but do not invest in crypto because they feel that they may lose the money of bitcoin dumps. However there are other people who save money from their salaries and keep accumulating bitcoins. Only those who have belief in bitcoin, invest in it.

Bitcoin isn't meant for any set of people, bitcoin is for everyone who wishes to buy or take part in it, anyone who wants to invest will have to buy the portion or amount he can afford to matter the country or location because even if a country doesn't accept bitcoin there are some exchanges who has features of P2P trade so buying presently now is never a problem. The main thing there is not everyone can afford buying 1 bitcoin so everyone buys according to what there can afford like some people who buys today buys in fraction.

In my opinion, bitcoin can be owned by everyone. Does not judge people by the income they generate, because basically bitcoin is intended for people who have buying interest.
I am personally also a cryptohunter, who is looking for income from here that I will save for investing in bitcoin.

Not only privileged people are buying Bitcoin, even those normal ones are buying Bitcoin. You don't need a lot of money for you to buy Bitcoin, instead you'll need a lot of deep understanding about Bitcoin for you to convince yourself to buy it that even some rich people don't still do. The type of people that buys Bitcoin are only those who are open-minded to things that are interesting. Risking a couple of dollars wouldn't harm you even if you lose for example, so take the risk to know what's the truth.

Everyone has the privilege to buy bitcoin no matter their status in life is but it would be better if you prioritize first the necessary things you needed and your family before buying bitcoin because there is no assurance that you can earn money when buying it so it is better if we secured first the things we need in our lives, if you only earn enough money for your stuff then I don't think that buying bitcoin would be a good choice but it still on you if you are going to take the risk.

Those elite or those who earn huge amount of money have the confidence on buying bitcoin even though the risk on it is still there, they are not that too scared of losing money because they can still earn it on their own but those people who don't have stable life are scared of doing it because they are afraid of losing the money that they have earned from their hard work. Anyone can buy bitcoin as long as they want no one will restrict them from doing that.

Anyone can buy bitcoin it doesn't matter who you are as long as you have the money, you could buy bitcoin where ever you are as long as you know how to.

Probably the reason why a lot of people don't buy this is, they just don't know what bitcoin is and don't know if bitcoin is really worth buying or possibly could just be a waste of money.

Anyone could be a millionaire or a billionaire this day if they just know that investing in bitcoin in the past years would make them. Holding bitcoin is not that easy as well thinking your holding it for 10years or more.

even with $10 you can buy bitcoin, it's just that you will only get a small amount of bitcoin, with the current price of $ 2000 bitcoin and you want to buy bitcoin with a capital of $10 then you will get around 0.00017979 BTC

Because you buy less, you won’t feel too distressed even if you lose money in the short term. Of course, in the long run, Bitcoin is It will definitely rise again, and there is still a lot of room for growth.

This is not true, bitcoin is free to use for everyone. Anyone can own bitcoins in all the ways they have, no matter how much or little.
I admit, the elites and the wealthy are the dominant proponents for many purposes to use bitcoin.
Owning and using bitcoins is without exception for all walks of life.

Today, he's good with holdings.
people with wisdom in investment buy bitcoin, I suppose ;) they know bitcoin is lucrative and then with ration, they put a proportion of money in bitcoin purchasing, whatever the amount. like my dad, he bought a bit of bitcoin in a dip and wad criticized by my mom. However, currently, my mom admires him for what he did, so do I.

I really don't agree if someone says Bitcoin is only for the elite who have extra money. Since anyone can buy Bitcoin, I am not a rich person
and my salary is not great, but I can still buy Bitcoin. As long as there is a will there must be a way, so don't because your income is low and
you can't buy Bitcoin. Because buying Bitcoin doesn't have to buy 1 BTC, but you can buy just a few satoshis according to everyone's financial ability.
As long as our financial management is good, even with a small salary we can buy Bitcoin.

If the minimum wage earners can save some money out of their wages then maybe they might be able to buy bitcoin but considering that the average minimum wages around the world is low, I don't think that they don't have the luxury to save because most of these people spend their wages either in expenses like bills or debts.

mean that no poor people buy and HODL Bitcoin, I really have to be wise in commenting next time.

If you are a newcomer and don't want to invest too much energy, then it is recommended to buy spot, so buy low and sell high. You can slowly hoard more bitcoins. If you have more spare money, you can make a fixed investment, which can avoid the occurrence of large purchases at high prices and reduce certain risks. It is also a relatively safe investment method.

No, it doesn't matter, as long as you invest the money you can afford to lose in Bitcoin you'll be fine, also if you're living a privileged life why would you feel the need to invest in anything anyway?

Investment in cryptocurrencies is highly popular among those people that are working a normal or minimum paying jobs because it can change their life over just a few months if they have chosen their investment right, not sure if Bitcoin makes people rich at this point unless you go all in which is not recommended but it can also give you some very good amount of profit, there are some high cap quality altcoins available too which can give you a better return comparing to Bitcoin but they also carry more risk as well.

Of course not. Bitcoin is not for the privileged and its specially not for the elite who has extra money. Bitcoin is absolutely for everyone who could learn it and take time to spend time with it. I have friends who does not even have jobs took a full time within the Cryptocurrency Industry as Traders and they are earning money more than people who have daily jobs.

If we really want to learn something, we could study it and take the time to be knowledgeable about it and those are the types of person who revolve around Cryptocurrencies.

In my opinion, the great interest of rich people and big companies in Bitcoin is recent. Until 2-3 years ago, most crypto market investors were ordinary people who invest in retail, as you describe it.
Still, there are a large number of people who work and invest a small or large part of their income in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. And this will continue to be the case because everyone is beginning to realize that they can make a profit from the crypto market.

I've seen two types of people who buy Bitcoin.

1. Buying Bitcoin for the purpose of gambling.
2. Buying Bitcoin as a form of investment.

Apart from the above mentioned reasons, countries have now started to hold Bitcoin as reserve fund same as keeping gold. Limited number of people have begun to use bitcoin as a medium for large volume transactions which requires more process with banking.

The thing about decentralisation is that anybody can get involved crypto and BTC in general. All that differentiates between people who buy and don't buy BTC is the appetite for risk, knowledge, and some money on the side to invest.

Nobody is left out, all you need is internet, money and the will to get involved.

I for one would consider myself as a little holder of cryptocurrency. Not really big into Bitcoin but have Bitcoin nevertheless. My friends and colleagues that I introduced crypto with in the past were not so lucky themselves. Unfortunately they were not able to buy Bitcoin in the past and are now being FOMO'd into the situation where they might end up making mistakes. I always tell them not to be emotionally attached to the idea that they are too late. I tell them nothing is too late in crypto and they could just simply invest.

When you have spare money in your hand and it will not affect your current life, you can invest a small amount of Bitcoin and leave it there for more than a year without moving. After many years, maybe this small amount of Bitcoin in your hand will bring it to you. You are a little surprised. In addition, you must always believe in yourself, don't buy and sell according to other people's words, and don't think about it all the time when you buy.

I don't think so, everyone has the freedom to invest in BTC regardless of their financial situation and a small amount will do. Being privileged or not does not really matter in investing. With regards to your last question, your investment will grow eventually and you can just increase the amount of your BTC whenever you've spare money. One last thing, invest the money you can afford to lose.

I think almost everyone has the tools to be able to access cryptocurrency websites. Smartphones, for example, not everyone has an Android smartphone. But if we compare, the result will be more who have androids. What is clear, the main challenge is whether they want to not enter into the cryptocurrency system.
