well, you pretty much summed up all the bad experiences of all newbies back in 2017. The only thing that is missing there is giving private keys/seed phrase to phishing/fake websites. I've also seen some people give their money to fake giveaways.

everyone in the crypto world experience it pretty sure, for me invested big amount on a project that never materialized, and left us hanging, it was in 2017, no one can tell if a project is legit or scam, there are some signs but its really hard to find out until the last minute, but the best about this is that we learn from every mistake we did and push forward, and never to make the same mistake again.

what is worse than selling your coin cheaply for a meager profit while a few days later it shot up 150x from your initial capital?
it just happened with me a few days ago, bought something called unity token and sold it for 18x profit.
with only 3$ I made it into 56$ but then if I were to sell it a few days later I would have gotten it around 4000$.
literally I could not sleep peacefully in the night and feeling grieved over it.

Losing my $ETN(Electroneum) worth 2BTC that time after I store my coins on the official wallet which I downloaded on the official website. The hacker have access on my my wallet even though it has a email verification and pin protection that time. After that incident, I decided to never use any software wallet of altcoins even though it was official or not. I just store my coin on my ledger or exchange with 2FA security to make sure that hacker cannot access even though they have malware on my laptop.

you have a wonderful experience. love to read and can tell what you are sharing from your own experience.
I started crypto from this forum, with an invitation from one of my friends of course. Initially, everything was about bounty hunters who could get crypto without cash. (of course, I'm interested)
but after he introduced the forum, he didn't teach me about bounties. but let me know how this forum is first. especially about market knowledge, to be honest it really helps.

to be honest I didn't study market or project analysis at the time. what I understand is to buy when it is on the decline and immediately sell when there is an increase. do not know the long term because with a small capital before starting to get payment from the results of the bounty campaign.
however, I succeeded with my first purchase by making a profit of $ 50 within 3 days. it made me even more eager to buy something else. Because without the knowledge and experience of analyzing markets and projects, on the second asset I bought, I suffered a loss of $ 35.
After that, I decided to seek bigger capital from the bounty campaign to plan for better investment and trading.

that's happening with so many people dude. I have so many worst decision that I have taken it but I lost a lot of money.
This is happening last month when I was cashing out some altcoins at the incorrect time and I lost more than 10k USD.

I think that I have been facing so many worst experience in the crypto since I was joining in the crypto. I have passed all.

We have the worst experience with crypto, especially when we are new people who join the crypto. If we can learn more about crypto and we always be careful when we want to invest in crypto, we can prevent the other worst experience that might happen later. My worst experience happens many times when I join the crypto world because I do not know about the scam. But talking about not selling the coin at the highest price will be another experience because of the greediness that comes to us. We need to prevent greediness. Otherwise, we will not have a chance to make a profit.

you will get in exchange, man.
I believe people with experience like you and those who have been in the crypto market for a long time now understand how crypto markets and assets work.
there are no traps, only our mistakes are not very careful and do not want to learn first. now I believe you are increasingly able to control your investment planning for the better.
when it comes to bad experiences, believe me almost everyone in the crypto market will have experienced it. whatever the nominal I believe it is sure to provide a rewarding experience.

Those of us who have been here for a long time must have felt something detrimental, ranging from project fraud, panic selling by selling with a small profit, even though in the near future it will increase many times and finally regret it.
and my unforgettable experience was when I bought a large amount of coins because the conditions continued to go up and when I bought, I hoped it would continue to increase and it turned out that the coins dropped drastically in an instant without getting back up.
and that all will be a lesson for all of us so as not to happen again and make us more careful and so on.
and all that has been forgotten and made things better and not gullible.

My worse experience in crypto is once I invest my bitcoin in HYIP project in 2016 which was equivalent to $50 back then. It was a big money to me but I was new to cryptocurrrency and blindly invest my money to a website which claimed to give me 24% after a month. And you all know the result. I lost everything I had

Thankfully, experience and pain made me stronger. I spent more time to learn about the cryptocurrency by the cause of bitcoin price' increase. It really shocks me when bitcoin slowly reached $1000. I spent more time on work so that I had money to buy a little bit. And I did earn quite an amount of money in 2017. That was quite a superior memory to me

My worst experience in crypto if i don't sell my house to buy bitcoin. I never got scammed nor lose in crypto but it's very sad to say that i was missing a very great opportunity to buy bnb @2 cents, ethereuum @5 dollars and bitcoin when it was still trading below 3k USD.

If i know that and i will retire from all of my jobs in real life.  :D

I think that there are lots of old crypto users who were also missing the best opportunity to make their financial freedom from crypto.

I have a lot of worst experience in crypto :
1. I bought cloud mining with my Credit cards loan in 2014 and it turn to scam website. ( Lost about $2000 )
2. I lost my bitcoin on centralised exchange ( exchange turn to scam exchanger and the owner run ) lost 1 btc in 2016
3. Lost due to invest to scam ICO, thats why you need to choose and dio research about ICO.

And from those experience i have learned a lot and choose ICO which only i feel its legit like student coin

My worst was probably losing $5 dollar on a centralized exchange as matured crypto user. I was always cautious trading with amount I couldn't afford to lose on exchanges back then. And preferred to control my funds and use safe/truely decentralized platform with reliable escrow service.  Before then, I made up my mind not to lose any amount on centralized exchanges due to many cases of people losing their funds on them then. It was quite shameful to me to lose even a dollar on things I spoke against and thought no sane person should be losing money on them.

My first (as a newbie) was sending my Bitcoin to an investment platform and never earning any income from that. I was actually expecting that and was quite prepared, so I don't consider it the worst.

My worst experience was in 2018 when I was new in crypto Business and had no idea of scams in this industry so I had to pay huge cost of my ignorance when I subscribed  many ICOs with the hope that i will book good profit in these tokens and paid them huge amount of Ethereum but unfortunately  most of them never saw the light of the day turned up as scams. Some of them never sent any coins in ETH wallet and those who sent were worthless because they never got listed on exchanges.

Hello,

Excluding the Bounty campaigns I've been involved in for months and then it turns out to be a scam and we don't get any tokens, I have another bad experience, similar to yours, even a little worse.

I had about 130 K tokens, I don't remember how much they were when it was time to sell them and then I forgot about them for a few years and when I checked them again later, it turned out that the project was already dead - so I couldn't get even $ 1 of them.

But I think everyone in the crypto world has encountered more or less similar problems!

And the another thing is that bounties . I join too much bounty but most of them become scam.

My worst experience so far in crypto was also my very first one. I joined the crypto world back in august 2017 and the first investment i made back then was into the ICO of DimCoin. I was still at university back then and of course being completely new to crypto every $ that i invested was FIAT from my bank account. To make a long story short the project was pretty much a scam and of course everything i invested was lost.  :'( Thank god i only invested 150$ back then. Others of course invested several thousand $ which they lost. Dimcoin collected 14M$ with their ICO so a massive amount of money was lost in total.
Thankfully i was not deterred by this first bad experience in the crypto world and i sticked around.  :)

I believe those bad experiences made me a better investors in a world of cryptocurrency, I guess this is a must to experience for every newbies so you wont lose more along the road, so its better to lose at the early stage. Don’t just give up easily when you fail, just keep on trying.

@poster, the same thing has happened to me a couple of times in different ways though, like in 2016, I invested in a coin, the price of the coin rose to a very good amount of money but greed set in, I wanted it to go up more, it definitely went up more, and I wanted it to go up even more and more,, long story short, a coin I would have sold and made like $2300 dollars, I ended up making below $ 100 dollar when I later sold them, it was a very painful experience for me, I cried any time I imagined how much I would have made if only I wasn't too greedy, if only i sold at the peak when my spirit was telling me to, but I refused to listen... But anyways, it's a story now

I don't know if this is the worst but one of my mistakes that I've done and the same as the others when they've held a lot of bitcoins and sold it at a cheap price.
Everyone can relate with that experience and too bad I have to sell during the bear market because I ran out of cash by that time. That's why as much as possible, keep on stacking sats.

I believe every thing you listed can happen to a Newbie in cryptocurrency trading and this exact things happened to me back in the same year  ;D No Joke when I just came into crypto trading around July when the Bulls was just picking off and all my trades where profitable and dint know at the time that there was going to be a Bear market and that I should take my profits at the high.
I believe it was later Back in 2018 I lost $500 to a project (TRAW) I will call Scam cos the Dev after collecting monies from investors eventually abandon project. Most times newbies make all this mistakes but not now anymore for me though.

1. Buy high, sell low and underestimate the real situation.
2. Keep bad quality and worthless coins and sell money of lasting value.  That is the most ironic and unfortunate thing that I have come to realize after a long time.  In fact, these damaging mistakes were partly due to being unable to bear the mentality myself and it was a real regrettable loss.

many traders also make mistakes like you. I also sold some of my assets at a lower price than my purchase price when I ended up needing money and making a withdrawal.

I was remembered when I started exploring this forum, way back 2017 when I start joining bounties and trying other way to earn crypto currency, but unfortunately because of excitement and nervous in applying to bounty campaign I accidentally paste my private key instead of my eth address then, I can't erase the record after i noticed that made mistake; and that my worst experience in the crypto currency because of that I lost more or less 20k Usd because of ignorance and lack of patience.

Because of those things I decided to be more careful because what will happen tomorrow if depends on what we are doing now.

The Worst Experience ever that happens to me on crypto was Hacked Ethereum Address, I lost 5 ETH + 400 Uniswap from my personal address and it was around $3000 when it was hacked. You can see more details here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221759.msg53734483#msg53734483

Not sure if that was malware or anything but here an advice from me, Never expose your private key anywhere, Save your Private key on Paper or user hardware wallet. Never install any shady apps or anything, Another one was buying Shitcoin and trapped on Pump & Dump Scheme (Yobit) Always do deep research on every project that you want to invest or trade, Stay Safe!

I have that experience in the past because I do not have many skills in analyzing.
I still think that I need to learn more about trading, and I think I can analyze the coin even if that does not have 70% get the high peak if the price increases.
Buying the wrong coin will be the worst experience on crypto that I already had until now because I lack analyzing the coin, but that does not make me stop to analyze because I am sure that I need more learn and more practice in analyzing the coin.

One of my worst experiences was sending 2 eth to fomo on a new project without taking the time to read everything that was written.

So I sent 2 eth ($ 250 each at the time) from binance to the given address. And AFTER I read the little lines  ;D . It was clearly explained that it was important not to deposit funds from an exchange in which case the funds would be lost forever (because not identifiable and traceable to you).

Rip :)

The worst experiences in the crypto space are endless. I will list a few.
1. First, transaction fees on Ethereum are too high and not suitable for everyone. It's like Ethereum was created for the rich to use them.
2. Fraud in P2P transactions. There have been many scams happening, FIAT depositors falsified deposit invoices with photoshop, some used dirty money to transact, some merchants refused to unlock the cryptocurrency they sold to others in a transaction. In a way, the P2P market is getting worse.
3. Value manipulation with scam IDO projects, ICOs has decreased but still exists and harms the community.
4. Elon Musk is making Dogecoin-related tweets and that is costing many derivatives market participants a lot of money.

My worst experience on crypto was on year 2017 when i was newbie  and bought a scam token. I did'nt buy on ICO stage but i buy the token after it was listed on exchange. I saw the price was dropping and in my mind this is the best time to buy. Yes i bought the token because of hype and didnt do any research thinking the price will go up after few weeks or months but what happened is the price did'nt rise and did'nt give me chance to sell my token until now and the token was dead.

many of us did that because we thought there is a chance of the price to bounce up again. sadly the volatility sets in and then gradually the team turned scam. 2017 is the ICO craze. some of the tokens actually that went up that time are still alive today but some end up dead already. nobody even tried to file a case against them for they use fake profiles. holding a token is the worse that I've done.

My worst experience in crypto is I trusted too many projects way back then promising it could go to moon in few years most of those projects were dead now. Another one is I sold LEND very cheap I could already be a millionaire now. But its okey sometimes we need to experience these things to become better investors.

There are two things that made me have a bad experience in the cryptocurrency world. the first was when I got a scam. well, this almost seems to be owned by cryptocurrency users. another thing is, selling assets at the wrong time. the point is, I sold all the assets that I had held for years, but after selling them, the price went up considerably. well, it's like a nightmare.

Those are greed experience mate. Your not supposed to lose the value if you sell already during ICO. Well speaking for myself, I had some also, but not gonna blame you cause majority have these kind of mistakes before. But of course that was few years so definitely something must change and improve with regards to encounter like now. I do hope you already learn that hard lesson and reflect from it.

2017 indeed is a different era from now and hopefully you did change now.

I just experienced what they called impermanent loss in pancakeswap and from that moment I started not to used pancakeswap again.

Well if almost got baited in phishing sites would count, my experience was that I joined an airdrop randomly without expecting any email reply from the airdrop I joined.
The next day, I received an email that claims to be part of the project and it wants me to collect the tokens in their site. The site claims that they're in partnership with MyEtherWallet because that's the wallet I used back in the days.
At that point, I smell something fishy already so I closed it and cleared my browser like everything. The thread went dead the other day.
That was my one and only worst crypto experience so far.

I wouldn't count the 2018 crash of Bitcoin because that was an opportunity for me to buy more.

Sorry for the loss by the way, OP.

from all your statements it seems that you can make it as an experience, I still want to hear from you how you can lose $ 200 from a scammer. because of that there must be one reason that I don't think is good.
right now I think experience in losses can provide a good option for getting bigger profits.

Maybe in 2017 many people were in the same situation as you, it was a time of ICO hype and people often hold back to wait for it to continue to rise in price.
In 2017 I also spent $ 10k on a trash project, it was truly an unforgettable experience.

My experience is much similar to yours in Jan 2018 My portfolio was 23000$ but I became greedy for more and did not exit by selling my coins. Later on, I was waiting for the rise back of my coins but I was wrong and still holding my coins, and slowly-slowly in 2 years, it remains only 4000$. Whenever I thought about this I feel very frustrated but I learned a lesson not to make the same mistake again. Now in the previous 2-3 months, I sold my some coins with good profit and I am satisfied I made a good profit but after the bitter experience of huge loss.

what is worse than selling your coin cheaply for a meager profit while a few days later it shot up 150x from your initial capital?
it just happened with me a few days ago, bought something called unity token and sold it for 18x profit.
with only 3$ I made it into 56$ but then if I were to sell it a few days later I would have gotten it around 4000$.
literally I could not sleep peacefully in the night and feeling grieved over it.

On the bright side, you made 18 times more profit, which is a really huge amount of profit a transaction can take.
So instead of regret you should continue to research and invest, it is likely that you will come across another similar currency.

3. Lost due to invest to scam ICO, thats why you need to choose and dio research about ICO.
There are a lot of people who lose money on scam ICOs, it was a really bad experience.
I also used to lose money with scam ICOs, after attracting the investor's money the ICO development team was gone and never came back.

I also used to lose money with scam ICOs, after attracting the investor's money the ICO development team was gone and never came back.

I never lost any money in scam ICOs, but I participated in some of the bounty projects of these ICOs and never got my salary for the same. I spent a lot of time and effort in them, so it really hurts a lot. And there are thousands of users like me, who worked hard on various bounty projects, only to be scammed later. Anyway, I was fortunate to find a slot in one of the signature campaigns which makes the payment in Bitcoin.

We sometimes overly think that the market will keep growing and neglect to think about the possibility of drops which is how the volatility affects. Being greedy isn't totally a bad thing but sometimes this also a reason why we fail. I didn't have that kind of experience but I learn that because of my friend and it serves me as an awareness. I'd come not to hold for a long period of time, I'm just observing the market flow and I won't hesitate to sell my coins if the profit is already good and enough for me.

My worst experience is my Ethereum wallet getting hacked, this set me back a lot, thanks goodness we are seeing better security measures and I still believe we will continue to see more hacks in the space as new entrants enter the space, people always take security with levity until their account is hacked

You know, the worst thing that could happen to anyone is to see this in your inbox.

That's something that could make you experience that "mini" heart attack. I think that's more hurtful than being scammed, TBH.

Cryptocurrency is a miracle of the world in this century, in a short time we can be rich or poor. My bad experience happened in 2017, at that time I tried to invest a small amount and it turned out that I was losing. Then I raised about $1000 in capital to buy a few altcoins, and the results were far from being expected.
My biggest mistake was that I jumped into the world of cryptocurrency without the slightest experience.
The bad experience I had is the best teacher for me, learning from experience sometimes exceeds the lessons we get in school.  So never invest if you are not readying to lose.

As I'm being part of crypto currency way back 2017, I earned a lot of money as much as $4000 all in all but it's doesn't mean I have it all in one time. During does golden year, I support my financial stability and will able to buy things that I want. After, that my worst experience is that I was scammed more or less $200 as I try to invest a project but in the end doesn't response after I transfer. Well, this kind of doing here is not as permanent as it we try to risk and I learned my mistakes that having a money needs to invest a business that can be sure in the end even does not huge income as long as it's profitable.

What are your next steps to anticipate what you have experienced, it's the worst experience for those who feel it. The results of your hard work do not leave a mark if hackers take it. It's time to be more careful about taking careless actions and making big bad things happen.
Careful in a way that you'll be more responsible in keeping your balances.

You'll be careful and won't be confident that you will keep your assets onto the exchanges just as what's most of the newbies are confident to do. You don't stay your assets on exchanges.

And, you will always be vigilant and careful with the websites you visit and online forms that you fill up.

My bad experience is almost the same as yours, which is too greedy and Not exit at the correct time, because at that time I still didn't have much experience, but luckily I didn't send anything to the scammers
But the one that I think is the worst is trading on the "coinsmarkets" exchange which suddenly turned into a scam and I lost a lot of money there.
but that's all just a story and from there I got a lot of lessons, especially "don't hold assets in exchange"

All the worst experiences usually happen when we are newcomers and we are still learning about cryptocurrency.

I once showed off my total assets on social media when I started learning cryptocurrency in the hope of getting attention and getting good reputation from my friends. But the worst thing happened, where all of my assets were suddenly stolen by unknown people and I felt frustrated about it. The total is around $ 200 USD, besides that I also bear the shame which turns out that my friend who has assets above $ 10k prefers to be quiet and not share it on social media.
This incident happened when I was 18 years old and my family's economic condition was in poor condition.

I think the worst for me is my first breakdown all due because of my first big loss in my trading which is really hard to forget but right now, I am treating that experience as my best so far because I have learned a lot from that moment which makes me to strive hard on my trading. So far that is my worst experience and if ever there will be another thing to come, I am sure to overcome it because worst experience is a part of the process of being better and getting the best as well in doing crypto.

I hope it really provides valuable lessons for you.
If you want to connect your wallet to a new web that is not widely used, it would be better to use a new wallet, not your main wallet, to store the assets you have.
crypto developments foster a new business ecosystem for these business people. that is what makes the development of the crypto community also very fast. It is natural that the first time you know you are surrounded by many rippers. keep transacting safely using third parties if it allows transactions that you do with other people.

Experience is the best teacher.

You wont really able to learn something if you dont able to experience it.It isnt really that needed for you to commit such mistake because you can really avoid that if you are just
sensible and always aware on how thing works and if you are really that type of person who do love to verify everything when in doubts then its really hard for you to be scammed.
Sometimes or shall we say that most of the times you own common sense would be the thing that would really be saving up yourself into these unfortunate situations.

I don't have that experience, I just experience some losses like buying a shitcoins and never have a profit but I think it wasn't the worst-case scenario for me. We could really be experiencing this thing if we don't have knowledge of crypto and I learn that. Because at first, I was thinking that buying cheap coins will give me a huge profit but sadly, it wasn't the thing I experience.

That is why I suggest that we have to look and consider the market volume of a coin before buying them as it was the basis if that coins really have a better future or not. Otherwise, we all just ended like collecting dead/shitcoins.

Worst experience in crypto? Well for one it is mostly has something to do with the Bounties I join and the experiences I get from joining in bounties. Most of the time it has something to do with me unable to do anything with the token or coin once they paid the said amount. You wait for weeks and weeks and their coin or token has not been enrolled on any exchange. Such frustrating experience if you are going to ask me.

The worst-case that happened to me was the time I sell everything that I have in crypto due to losing a job and I need money to survive my everyday living. That time was the bear market, the market crashed. So I end up selling my coins at a very very low price. From that experience, I learned that I have to be financially ready every day so when I lose my job, I won’t be needing to sell all my crypto investments.

Probably a lot of bounty hunters have experienced this. Earning tokens from different bounties maybe too good to hear way back then but unfortunately, some of them turned into useless tokens because they weren't even listed on exchanges. There were also times that my sleepless nights from doing bounties were not even paid off because the one i thought that has potential to reach the market cap ended up a scam. I was totally hopeless that time.

So speaking of the worst experiences. I would say that I have a lot of bad experiences. I am in crypto since 2016 and I did a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of money in this space. I earned good money and lost them in fake and scam projects and ICO. I wish I did not invested them in 2019's crash market. I was earning good money back in 2017-18 but then crypto market crashed and my earning stopped. but I had savings and if I played smart I would be good during these 2 years of bear market. but I did so many stupidity and lost all the money I saved.
right now I feel the old era is back again and the crypto currency is full of new opportunities again. and this time I would not repeat my mistake.

My worst experiences with the crypto market are so many, I'll cover some of my worst.
I have been involved in KICKICO, REAL project and currently these two projects are failing badly.
I spend most of my money on Oyster, which was removed from exchanges after the project's CEO voluntarily printed more tokens and dumped them. This project is in the development phase promising to bring low-cost distributed storage space.
My current bad experience is that Ethereum costs are too high for a single transaction and thankfully they have been falling for the last few days.

My worst experiences were all from ICO age. I still cannot forget how much money I wasted on scammy ERC20 tokens released in 2017 which don't even exist anymore.
One of my other bad experience happened with wallet handling. One day my laptop's hdd was crashed, I lost every data I had, I was sort backing it up on cloud and external, so didn't lose all, but I still have some wallet files that have sort of low amount of altcoins (ERC20) which I lost passwords.

I have lots of worst experience in crypto. Well most of them because of my lazy ness. Actually i started as a airdrop hunter and i didn't join too much when i saw a payment from other users then i started to join other airdrop again. But i didn't get that much. But if i missed some airdrop because of my laziness that airdrop gives them a good profit. Then i always blame my self. Because of THIS i missed lots of bigges airdrop like hydro, centric some some more biggest airdrop. And second one i lost $200 worth eth when i was going to exchange it into cash that person scam with me and that $200 value today is almost $2700+. Well that also gave me some experience that never trust anyone blindly. My worst experience but teach me lots of thing.

You can't put your laziness as your worst experience, First It is your choice to be lazy, and having that means no reward compared to others especially on airdrops which the perseverance to participate is needed.

Trusting someone is hard especially with money, There are a bunch of people that made scamming their job and with the help of the internet and cryptocurrency, They can scam people without getting caught. It is essential to use an exchange to withdraw funds into fiat. If you plan to trade on p2p, It is recommended to use an escrow or middleman.

This is very interesting, I recently heard something from the MVL token that they can be swapped through the site. https://mvlchain.io/erc_20_wallet
However, I'm not sure if this will help you, given that you cannot even withdraw them from the exchange wallet.

What you experience is like experienced by many bounty hunters, because when I first joined bounty campaigns, I always sold the reward tokens
that I got. And what makes me regret, some tokens suddenly pumped after I sold them. It's true as you say, that we must study and follow
the development of the projects that we joined. So we can estimate when the best time to sell it, although most of the bounty projects that
I participate in, once they are distributed, they will immediately dump the price and it will be difficult to recover. So if it is not sold immediately,
it will be difficult to sell it, because the volume is very low.

My world has gone bad that day, because we've had a negotiations about my tokens that per to per trading is an agreement. It looks like most of the peoples worst experience is getting scammed by someone or losing coins in an exchange. In case of getting scammed, it's actually your (partially) fault that you got scammed. You should have been more careful. Everyone is aware of all those common scams. You probably fell for a scam because you got greedy! Even those who lost their coins in an exchange should have known better. People keeps on warning each other about the dangers of storing coins in exchanges.
I never got scammed. My worst experience sometimes is the delay and the absurd fees that we have to pay when the network is congested.
My worst experience is storing tokens on the exchange, I have 157,000 mvl of tokens on the CoinBene exchange, which recently cost $ 10,000, but I can't withdraw them for two and a half years because the wallet is currently under maintenance . Do not keep tokens on exchanges.
You won't get it back. Probably the wallet and the project is dead. You invested on a shit coin/token.

When I was just a newbie in crypto I have been scammed thrice before I realized that there are a lot of scammer in this field so I need to back up myself with enough knowledge and not just grab each opportunity as most of them are fake and just after my assets. I was scammed in many ways joining program that promised to double my investment in few days this looks legit to me at first and I was encourage to add more investment then just one day the website is not accessible anymore haha, I also experience selling crypto using escrow the trick is the buyer show me the legit escrow profile which is trusted then when he raised the transaction he used another escrow with the same name and profile pic of the legit one so I deposit my btc and it was transfer to him but tge payment was not transfered to me haha.

And just recently I am not sure if these would be the worst all my wallet file is in my previous phone and it was snatch led so I can't retrieve my previous eth and other crypto wallet forever.

This is very interesting, I recently heard something from the MVL token that they can be swapped through the site. https://mvlchain.io/erc_20_wallet
However, I'm not sure if this will help you, given that you cannot even withdraw them from the exchange wallet.
I'm wondering what the support service answers you in this case, and whether she answered anything adequate for this entire period while you are waiting.
Yes, I know there was a token swap, but my tokens are blocked on the exchange. I wrote to the administrators of the telegram group, but they have one answer for two years - "At present, the MVL wallet is currently under maintenance and cannot be withdrawn or make deposit. Please pay attention to the platform announcement for the specific opening time. "I do not advise anyone to use the exchange CoinBene . We discussed this, here is the topic (What is being done with the exchange CoinBene ?) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5330153.msg56767453#msg56767453

everyone must have had a bad experience in this industry, especially for users who have been in this field for a long time. I myself had the worst experience about 3 years ago. I was too confident to buy a newly launched and traded altcoin, initially got a lot of profit from the related coin, because I trusted it too much, from the profit I made, then I spent back on the related coin, hoping to make a big profit, but until now I can not feel the return of the capital that I have spent and until now I still hold the coin, but the price is stable at the lowest point
most of the mistakes made when newbie me too, my worst experience was losing 80% of assets because of being carried away by Fomo in the ICO season around 2017. After that my blockchain wallet was also hacked so that my BTC disappeared.
we have to pay dearly for the lessons, that's the beauty of the experience.
since then I have become more selective in choosing projects and use a more secure wallet.

Back when I was working within my own crypto marketing firm I interviewed a new community moderator and everything seemed to check out just fine. I then for the first and only time due to his request and me being in desperate need of a staff member to start asap.. sent a $200 advance only to never hear from them again. Lesson learnt.

Learning would really comes after with real experience which is usual stuff because you wont able to learn if you dont experience it for yourself. It isnt necessary for you to make mistakes happen
but we know that we arent perfect. We dont know everything and there are things which we are totally noob and when you do already gain that stuff then that would really be molding you to be
a better person or a trader or depending on what are the things you've been doing. You wont be a good into a particular stuff when you dont tend to engage with it.
Worst experience on crypto? for sure this would be talking about scam, loss of investment due to bad decisions and other similar things.

For a number of mistakes that I've encountered in crypto, I can't remember them all. But they have some in common and that to overly expect for the project will grow, however, it was not what I saw, and lose my investment. And that was really hurt when you spend a lot of money for a certain project as we think for x10, x20 profit gains but in just a few days, it was gone.

I even think about quitting after that but instead, it gives me the courage to continue and use those mistakes as a learning tool. And it helps me to be more confident of what I'm doing with the help of those bad experiences.

Yeah right, greed inside us kills our investment journey, thinking that the hype will bring that huge amount of profits. Realizing that it just an alluring act from the developers. Mistake has been done but if you do have the courage to continue and you believe that fate will bring you to the success that you are aiming.

By continuing your chase, it will allow you to find the right system, let your mistake reminds you to keep doing your research and not to just fall with the hypes coming from this volatile industry.

That is also because you did not research first before deciding to join the bounty, because usually bounties whose teams are still unclear and whose performance is still very little is a project that is not feasible to participate in.

Be honest we all got scammed by projects every now and then. It is not that simple to identify which is a scam project and which one is not. The scams became better and better. Some are obvious but some are well hidden.

But anyways, it's a story now
similar to me, because my worst experience was when I initially invested in one of the coins and bought it at a low price then when the coin increased slightly I sold my token for a profit of $ 100 and replaced it with another coin. and at the beginning of 2021 this coin has experienced a fairly large pump. if I had held it until now I could have made a profit of $ 9000. but it doesn't matter because it can be a lesson for me and encourage me to understand every coin in the crypto market.

The worst experience and move that I've made in crypto is to waste the time that I have rather than study and deepening my knowledge about crypto. Imagine, the market is on dump and bear from 2018 to 2020 and I didn't give some time and effort to look at what coin to buy and invest while it is on sale cause the price is very low, so that when the bull market comes, I have a lot of assets and holdings to sell. I just wasted my time and my potential income.

What? that's a lot. Why you've to sell those? were you in need of cash by that time or you moved ETH into another crypto?
That's really was a bad decision. If I've got that amount of ETH, I'd sell 5-10 of it while keeping the remaining balance.

I earned a good amount then I decided to bought a coin 4 years ago. The coin seems to be promising. From a very low price it reached $60 each. It's price goes down then I bought 60 coins. After that, I used it in staking. I set to monthly instead of weekly so there will be no hassle for me to set it every week and on my computation, monthly has a higher profit. I noticed that its price is going down little by little but I ignored it because I believe on that coin. But after 3 years I cannot open the site anymore. It feels so sad that I the good amount I earned turns into nothing. It also become useless to me. I regret that decision I made. How I wish I can turn back time to undo that decision.

My last bad crypto experience was based on my greed. It was January-February period probably. Bitcoin mempool was crowded by lots of transactions and I have decided to economize on fees. I've set something around 5 sat/byte fee and waited more than 30 days before transaction reached receiver address. During that time Bitcoin price managed to went up and down several times, and by the time transaction got confirmed, I've exchanged it, and in few days went up again...

2 experiences that for me considered worst.

1. I remember when I'm still newbie in trading, there is this one news regarding Verge where they are partnering with Pornhub and at that time the price of it was surging very high. Days before the announcement I entered at its highest and since I'm a newbie at that time, I thought that it will rise even higher. When they announced it, it plummeted and half of my initial capital was completely gone. I just use stop loss when it was down half of my entry price. I can't forget that moment.

2. Pandemic crash. We know what happened in 2020 right?? We saw the market went down very bad especially Bitcoin when it went down from ~$8,000 to ~$4,000 in just 2 days. What I did at that 2 days?? I just watched the market while having regrets because at that time I don't have any spare money. That would be the worst experience for me because if only I have cash on hold at that time, it would be at least x10 at the present. Easy money but it didn't happen for me. After that, I adjusted already and I'm holding cash right now so that when the bear market happens then I have buying power to buy cryptos at a discounted price.

My wallet was hacked because my PC was infected with malware and $ 5000 worth of eth was stolen. I'm sorry I didn't use anti virus at that time. it was quite a loss for me at that time. I think storing eth in a private wallet is the safest option. but in fact it also has hacking potential as well. since then I have preferred to use a mobile wallet such as trustwallet or mewconnect.

I think our worst experience as people who engaged in the crypto world won't be far from scammers, thieves, and hackers. But as a bounty hunter especially, I experienced many unpaid bounties, arrogance bounty managers or developers, and manipulation. However, I make it a great experience that taught me to be stronger, wiser, and more meticulous in this crypto world. We can't trust anyone here, we need to guard ourselves and learn about risk managing. today i have massive experience so i know how to play the game. Lets share experiences so enrich newbies knowledge.
My problem that I have had is with p2p exchangers, and that’s the only mistake I have made in the crypto market that has to do with losing my money. Since then I have been very careful, and avoiding every potential. The mistake did hurt my feelings, but I learnt  a lesson from it and that was how to know when there are scammers and where there are not.

With that kind of experience, I was forced to make really good research and be able to tell when I’m falling into a bad projects and the ones that are good. But it’s always best to not experience things like that, best for you that you learn from the experience of others and avoid problems.

take mistakes as lessons by evaluating what is right, and then use them to develop new effective strategies.  btw, don't regret it, especially if it's needed to fulfill your life, at least give appreciation to yourself for working hard.  I have also experienced it, selling tokens too fast because the price has increased, even though next week is the mainnet and the price is going up.  at that time I didn't understand the flow of the coin or project launch, so I lost the right timing.

Yes, it is really annoying when we have to wait a long time after buying some Altcoins because of a sudden deep market correction, I have also experienced that, but I don't think of it as the worst thing in crypto, because there are still things worse from that what I experienced in crypto, namely the project scam after the duration ends.

On of my worst investments is in sparkster, i regret investing in that project, i invested $1k worth of ethereuem in it in 2018 and that investment is worth less than $20 today with no liquidity and no hope of returns  this ranks as one of the biggest investment mistakes i have made.

Yes, it is really annoying when we have to wait a long time after buying some Altcoins because of a sudden deep market correction, I have also experienced that, but I don't think of it as the worst thing in crypto, because there are still things worse from that what I experienced in crypto, namely the project scam after the duration ends.

yeah, it's really very disappointing for sure. but I think if that's what I experienced then it is a risk that bounty hunters must face and can be used as experience in sorting and selecting future projects.

These are the wrong movement in which I had made before were of course now, I learned from my mistakes in which it didn't happen
again since the time I made this thing.

My worst experience in cryptocurrency industry came when I lost significantly from hype and pyramid schemes. I had to start all over again because a substantial amount of my capital was lost. It took a while before I dusted my bags and continued

Pyramid schemes exists every where and not only in crypto. They are too much tempting because they offer a lot of money only by referring few people. I myself has incurred lost due to such scam schemes. If anyone ask you to invest in certain scheme and bring referrals for unlimited earnings, beware they may scam you.

I have been with Crypto since 2017. In 2017, I used to make a lot of mistakes of Myetherwallet private key submit in form on bounty. I also worked at various scam sites. I didn't understand that I was working in scam airdrop. I believed in others more than myself.

Of course, almost all of them have bad experienced in criypto. I also had the same bad experience, such as followed many bounty campaigns and almost 2-3 month link reports but it turned out to be a scam , there were tokens only selling $ 7 from 2 months of participated in the campaign.  Lose high value Eth and tokens.

me too, following so many campaigns but it just ends up being a scam. Even if you get a token, it turns out that it is only a junk token that has no value.

ever in 2019 my myetherwallet was hacked, which caused some of my ether and valuable tokens to just disappear. that's my bad experience.

I think some people have had the worst experiences where I myself also felt it when I first joined the crypto world. one of them is taking part in the ICO scam where I don't get paid after that. Of course, it's very annoying because I've been following the bounty for a long time. I made this an experience so that in the future it will be better to choose a bounty to follow

everyone in the crypto world experience it pretty sure, for me invested big amount on a project that never materialized, and left us hanging, it was in 2017, no one can tell if a project is legit or scam, there are some signs but its really hard to find out until the last minute, but the best about this is that we learn from every mistake we did and push forward, and never to make the same mistake again.

At the end of the 2017 to 2018 period I was hunting for coins and of course had high hopes, but what all expected did not mean that many coins I held ended up in a scam and my wallet was also hacked, and until now there are still some coins  I held until now and had no value at all.

My worst experience almost made me lost interest in crypto. It was in 2017 when I first bought my first BTC, and I sent it to an cloud mining company, Hash Ocean, to mine for me while I get my share of fees. The night I sent the BTC was the day the website shut down after operating and deceiving people for 18 months.

But, I was able to get over with the shock to understand what blockchain and cryptocurrency stand for. 4 years after, I've been in the industry and I've benefitted financially too.

Take a loan to build mining rig (4000$), ends with no profit but fortunately i can paid the loan.

Get FOMO by people from Trollbox, ends up with huge loss (about 500$ ~45% of my investment)

Mistakenly open my first future entry and ends up liquidated (10EOS)

My experience in crypto is losing money hundreds dollars when joining ICO and losing trades when the crypto market is bearish in 2018.
because of that at this time I started joining the bounty campaign and looking for new coins to invest, tko and sfp gave me an advantage because at that time I participated in launcpad which was run by Binance then the price went up well. Experience always gives good results as long as we keep trying

yes, that's a very definite thing. meaning that not everyone wants to fall into the same hole. with such an event it is likely that in the future bounty hunters will be more experienced in choosing a prize project.

2018 were the down time of crypto due to ICO dumps and projects doing exit scam or their price becomes no value. I regretted now using those investments those times they still have value. After the 2017 bullrun, 2018 became too hard to take. The only good thing about it is it thought us to be patient and I do take profit now whenever I can since I was able to still to left some for Trade and savings.

I'm sure most people have experienced something in the cryptocurrency market that they don't want. this is very natural and if you are a beginner it is best to learn by experience as long as you do not lose too much. I, of course, have had a lot of bad things since I entered this market, the worst of which was that I invested all my money in ripple and stellar as the popularity of ripple and stellar increased in 2017 bull, and almost all of my money was melted in the following bear season. I also shot a very small amount that I had and I got offended by the market for a while.

Many cases like yours happen, but can not be denied as a beginner obviously they are not 100% understanding and thorough.
As a beginner should always ask before acting and always learn to add knowledge every day.
In this forum we can learn all about the world of cryptocurrency, from tutorials to success with cryptocurrencies.
But clearly with a bad experience it will bring us smarter and achieve success.

Yes, 2018 was not the year that some crypto enthusiasts expected at that time, in fact there were many people at that time who had left crypto because the market conditions at that time were very uncertain, only a few people took advantage of that year to find multiple profits at the start This year.

The worst experience is the best teacher, so that we can be careful in moving forward. As we know, cryptocurrency has many loopholes to make a profit. And many people use various means to make a profit. I had an asset loss in 2018. That is the worst memory, because I was too hasty in taking action. And yes, year after year I went through and I am grateful that I did not lose my place in cryptocurrency, and most importantly it did not hurt a lot of people. Because this is all purely my own effort.

the worst experience was every time I joined the prize hunt I always got a fake project and the project that
paid for it was not listed on the exchange and just became junk coins had no price.

Some are obvious but some are well hidden.

but choosing the bounty campaign carefully can reduce the chances of you joining a scam project . research is always important and seems to be done, knowing the project you are following is better than following a lot of campaigns and wasting time

Yes but even the word carefully if difficult here. Often you think back and forth for hours and hours and you can never be sure to find the right one and you get paid according to the bounty conditions that counted in the beginning.

It's really sad, of course, if we look back at 2018 and at that time traders and investors were certainly stressed out by the conditions at that time,
I hope that in the future this will not happen again but in any case in crypto it can happen,
so we just follow the developments

well that was also my initial stupidity knowing my crypto gave my private key to web phishing, as a result which resulted in my altcoin assets being depleted. and that is a lesson for us to always be careful.

then everytime i write my orders wrong when i am not careful, inverting things etc crazy mistakes i made sometimes but this is on me but for some reasons it happens a lot when there are really important movves and it pisses me real bad. Anyhow i always end up winning. Shortable shitcoins are the best, you can't lose once you have a big capital if u have a brain and average your price. That's why rich people can only get richer. there's a point when u can't get caught shorting or longing once u have enough money and paranoia especially on garbage coins.

Stay safe

I fell victim to Ponzi schemes and scams so many times that it is very difficult to select one out of them. Many times I invested in scam projects and lost money. These mostly happened in 2014 and 2015, when the Bitcoin prices were really low. Back then, BTC0.10 or BTC0.20 was not very large amounts, and therefore I mostly ignored them and moved on. But now I have a lot of regret about those incidents. If I had those coins with me now, then I would have been in a very comfortable position.

We've been through almost the same situation. I wasn't skeptical about cryptocurrency as well as choosing a potential coin when I entered the crypto world before. So far, one of my worst experience in crypto is that I got scammed for only $100, way back before when I was new in the crypto world, I am really looking on how can I earn from it, I am also using telegram that time and there is one stranger that sent me a message that I can double my money for just 42 hours or 3 days without doing anything, I just need to invest in their website, so as a beginner, I really don't think that I am going to be scammed that day and what I am just thinking is that my money will get double in 3 days, but then when the time has come, there is still no result on my investment, I also contact the one that sent me the message but he didn't even reply on me.

Actually most of the beginners in the crypto world got scammed by this kind of trick.

2 facts that I have come across and have happened to me as well as other people in the crypto world, and that's a bad thing.
the first is to be hit by a scam. I am quite sure that almost all crypto users have been hit by a scam, whether from minimal funds to very large ones.
the second is selling too fast, and this is something that happens a lot. when we sell an asset that we own, the price suddenly rises high.

yeah, it's really very disappointing for sure. but I think if that's what I experienced then it is a risk that bounty hunters must face and can be used as experience in sorting and selecting future projects.
Right, but I see that at this point in time there are several projects that are indeed good for bounty participants to hunt down, although the results can be different, but if the token price can last for a long time, then the potential profit can be very commensurate with the time given by the hunters to the campaign.

I have plenty of worst experiences in crypto space as being a trader and a bounty hunter. As being a trader I was caught into a trap of a p2p exchange that turns out me getting fraud. my worst experience was buying the wrong token because the contract was different so I wanted to buy ico tokens and the scamer sent me the smart contract link and bought the token from there then I asked the group why I couldn't sell my tokens they answered you didn't have our tokens so at that time I a loss of around $ 200 a bad start for a beginner.
it was a very sad experience. that's why I never joined the ICO and didn't trust some of the links sent by people on behalf of themselves as part of the project team.
When IEOs became popular, I liked them more than ICOs. although sometimes IEO investments can also trap us into scammers with their stupid projects.

In all sense none of these Stablecoins is 100% safe proof but the one I will say still most trustworthy is DAI and I expect the demand to keep growing in this bull market, the problem with other Stablecoins is that they are centralised and can be default in paying you because they want to, for me you can't do that with DAI or there is no precedence so far and I hope it remain this way

Well if you are going to ask me, the experience I had before during my first experiences in crypto has something to do with the bounties. I mean there are many incidents where the companies and the projects under these bounties are either not paying or not playing fair when it comes to paying their participants. Also there are projects wherein their coins does not have value on it and were merely shitcoins. You try to sell them but there were no exchanges available to sell them.

Yes, because this year there are quite a lot of good projects that can be followed by everyone in this forum, so not many are disappointed even though there are still some who experience scams.

Long time ago I very often was investing in various cryptocurrency projects that I almost did not study and because of this I lost a lot of money, it also happened that I sold various cryptocurrencies at the one prices and after a couple of days they began to grow very strongly, also in cryptocurrency trading very often I lost a lot of money and therefore now I not do cryptocurrency trading, I also now study each company completely several times before I invest in them.

Scams as well as hacking are my worst experiences in cryptocurrency. Until now, I have made it a lesson because it is very detrimental to me.losing money in cryptocurrency from scams is something that many people experience. whether it's the same as me or different. the absence of regulation and a freedom attract people to be able to benefit in a way that is not good. like committing fraud

Two common concern when you are new to this market, most of the time scam really hurt you much!

investing or participating with projects that offers very attractive benefits, a big lesson to learn not '

to waste your time and your plan invested money. Work with your knowledge and try to understand

everything first before dealing with it.

My worst experience was losing a lot of bitcoins in 2017, I saw with my own head when a hacker moved all the assets I had in his personal wallet, at that time I tried to cancel the transaction but my efforts were in vain
There are many other bad experiences in crypto, especially in ICO
These things happens for our careless behaviour. Few years ago, I have lost a small part of my crypto portfolio after losing the recovery phrase of my wallet. After that I always stayed careful so that things like that never repeat. And we need to take decision wisely before choosing any ICO project.

I see that at this point in time there are several projects that are indeed good for bounty participants to hunt down, although the results can be different, but if the token price can last for a long time, then the potential profit can be very commensurate with the time given by the hunters to the campaign.
That was true I would say until the recent crash of the market where almost every coin has lost its value and new projects will succumb under such pressure. The best time to work for altcoins bounties is when the market is dominating and moving up because then even the worst coins get enough attention and support from the market.

in cryptocurency there are so many scammers who commit fraud in various ways. We must be careful and our best to be able to protect the assets we have from being easily deceived. never give important data to anyone because it can harm us. because I once lost due to important data I gave to others who offered me an advantage.
Yeah, I would advice people to use different emails for wallets/exchanges and other sites because if you use your real email on one fake website they will send a lot of phishing emails and a lot of people won't but surely some of them will get scammed. I recently got a fake email that was impersonating blockchain.com wallet and asked me to reset my password. I am just too smart for these things but I was wondering how many people would actually fall for it.

The worst experience was suddenly disappearing exchanges. It happened all the time over the last few years. They claim to have been hacked but the worst thing about that is that you don't know whether it was an inside job or whether they really got hacked. Your money is gone anyway then.

the first is to be hit by a scam. I am quite sure that almost all crypto users have been hit by a scam, whether from minimal funds to very large ones.
It's unfortunate to get scammed but actually getting scammed once was one of my most emotional moments in crypto. I will share my story quickly. This happened like a few years ago.

So I was messaged on telegram by an imposter that he will exchange my coins, at that time I needed some skrill as I used to bet at bet365 and they don't accept crypto. So this user messaged me from where as he got to know I needed skrill and I sent him BTC since it was only $30 or something I was looking for and I cannot imagine someone scamming 30 bucks until that time. This guy simply took my money and never replied, I messaged him a few times but I had an idea that he won't return so I just did it somewhere else. I didn't block him since I had no reason for that. A few weeks later this guy comes to me and told me that he had his college fees due and was short of a few dollars and hence scammed me. You might think it was a story to cover up his scam but he actually paid me all $30 in skrill slowly and that is one of the sweetest memory I ever have in crypto.

The worst memory and experience I ever had in crypto was when I invested in some ICOs and they never even got to exchanges while they promised a lot. I don't consider selling tokens for cheap a bad memory because it can go wrong either way and it's unfortunate but not a mistake to sell them cheap.

My worst experience in the world of crypto is not much different from most of the members here, namely the wrong steps in making decisions, and panicking too quickly. The right decision is very important in a crypto investment, my mistake is too fast to buy and too hesitant to sell. , so I will consider this as a valuable experience that won't make me go wrong the second time around

That's normal and I'm sure many members in this forum also experienced the same problem at the beginning of their investment. there may even be some who are still quick to panic until now.
if the capital from the free results I think there is no need to panic. but if the capital comes from our own money, it will certainly create a feeling of panic even though we can handle it.

For me, my worst experience was when I sell off during the market of 2018. I forced myself to hold as long as I can but it occured too long that's why I tried to save myself from losing much more money but little did I know, a bull run would suddenly occur at 2020 and I regretted it a lot. Right now, even though I don't have much left, I still try to invest once again and I know it will be worth it soon regardless of the current status of the market. I will hold my investments because the only way bitcoin is going to soon is upward.

we cannot predict the right time to make a decision. because we still have hope of greater or better. such as greedy behavior when you see a rally in an asset is happening in the market. we will continue to hope that the value of the assets we have continues to increase until we forget to sell them.

We can fix everything by hearing others' worst experiences. Real time situations are always different than what we heard. I was very inactive during bullrun and I didn't get any rewards since I was very active. This experience can't understand newbies. "Injective protocol" didn't distribute my rewards. I lost so many times but earned only experience.

always in a state of having to wait a long time, every time I buy a few altcoins the alt prices always drop so low that I have to wait for a very long time. that's the worst thing I've ever had during crypto

I have the same experience, I would say it's the worst but I would also like to thank that situation as I still made money overall. I just regret I did not sell everything, I could have made a bigger than what I made that time. After 2017, I slowly spend my asset and I was not able to fully ride on the new bull run that happens late last year until this year, and I have a little regret with that, but I'll continue saving now.

It happened to me two years ago, where when I wanted to buy a Google account that contained game data and also business data, it turned out that someone was using multiple accounts to create fake third parties.
I have sent the money to a third party, but there is no response for up to 24 hours from the seller and the third party.

I used to claim 5 mint faucets and watched many ads for earning some satoshis. Now I have also good experience now I am making almost 200-300$ monthly. Now I have some knowledge about technical analysis. My message for beginners is " Don't do panic in trading and always try to take entry at right time and Don't be worried about any loss because it is cryptocurrency so lose and profit is part of it. The first time I felt bad was that when I first entered the currency circle as a novice, I slowly entered the market under the leadership of a friend and invested my first capital. I chose to buy when Dogecoin was skyrocketing, but it started to fall when I first bought it. It took a few days to reach the price of the first entry. I didn’t listen to my friends’ suggestions and sold them all. Within a few days, Dogecoin rose again. I regret it, but no way, I can't control my thoughts.I still missed the best moment of Dogecoin. After a few days of depression, I searched for cryptocurrency-related knowledge on various websites. If I didn’t know it, I would learn about it and re-enter the market.

I have a lot of bad experience with cryptocurrency over the past years, and the most unforgettable one is when I got scammed for the very first time. I believe on sending ETH and and will received a higher amount in return, later on I found out that its just a scam and I did lose my money.

I believe those bad experiences made me a better investors in a world of cryptocurrency, I guess this is a must to experience for every newbies so you wont lose more along the road, so its better to lose at the early stage. Don’t just give up easily when you fail, just keep on trying.

My bad experience starts back from 2017 when there was Hype of ICO in crypto market, I lost huge amount of funds becuase the tokens were neither listed on any exchange and if listed, the value was worth few cents. The next bad experience was in some scam DEFI , those were listed but their price dumped to almost zero. Despite all those bad experiences, I have successfully made huge profit in trading and in staking/farming on Pancake swap.

Worst experience in crypto? I have to say my worst experience was when I invested my crypto in some cloud mining sites, those sites turned into scam eventually and I lost some money on it. It was a big mistake when I was a newbie in this cryptocurrency world, I was fooled with the nice offer from the cloud mining sites.

Other mistake is about personal wallet when I did not do a back up of my wallet and I lost it due to broken PC. I had around 0.1btc in the wallet and it worth less than $50 when I lost it but it can be something really nice if I can get it back at the current rate.

It is important to remind ourselves with that.

We should be diversifying but not that much with our investments. You can put all your eggs if it's bitcoin but not with altcoins that you've just seen in a sale.

It actually provides a good source of beer money for some crypto users and uses their time to earn while they are locked down. But if its really going to crash, I'd assume also it could go below $20. I'm sure there will be a lot of projects that come after AXS which could be a lot better soon. Their success is going to be an inspiration to developers. One of my worse experiences is holding while the price is crashing.

Its true experience teaches us many lessons. In the starting, we all make many mistakes because of a lack of experience. I also started Crypto in the year 2017 I also had several coins that rises beyond my expectations but I hold it and expecting more profit but things happen opposite to my expectations. Due to greed, I lost huge money of my profit that I can book If I exit at the right time but this is what I said the experience I gain that will help me in the future to decide when to exit.

Yes, this is a very offensive sale) but you must agree, I would most likely not be able to collect these potential x100. A more realistic outcome of events would be if I had fixed the profit at 5-10 x maximum, which would have been more offensive)

that's what's important right now. A trader and investor must know when to enter and when to exit.
and knowledge is not obtained by reading alone. Bad experiences sometimes provide knowledge and make it easier for us to understand.
at least now you can know the best moment you have to get out of the market.

I believe my worst experience here was when I invested in an ICO project last 2018. They credited the token in my account - but it was under their site. I should have withdrawn the tokens and sell it once they hit in my account. But hoping that I will get profit later, I didn't sell it up until cryptopia exit the game, as it was the only exchange my token was listed with. And later on, the site itself was abandoned and gone. Good thing, it is not big amount of money, but it was my lesson about ICO projects.

As long as I'm active in crypto, I've been lucky because I've never had an experience like the one you describe. Because I have friends who are always there when I need crypto related activities. So, in your post, I have no experience that I can share. As many people have told me, be careful in the crypto space, because it's our mistakes that suffer the consequences.

my worst experience in crypto has always been trading, when it is bought the price will go down and when it is sold it will go up drastically, that's the trading cycle in my opinion, so I will learn to hold tokens until I won't lose anymore
Do a little research on some of the past crypto investments that people have made. That way, you can learn from them. These tips are sure to help too.

all bitcointalk users must have felt and experienced bad experiences such as not being paid by the bounty manager or by the altcoin development team even though these altcoins got sales up to hardcap. however they ignore the bounty campaign participants. so for now I only participate in bounty campaigns managed by bounty managers who have a good reputation and have a large following

I also had a bad experience in my journey to be in this Cryptocurrency scope, Around 2018 I lost my Asset which I kept in a personal wallet. I am very sad, but I know that lost assets can never be returned.
It all started when I entered a Crypto exchange where to login I had to link the Wallet and the exchange, and that could be done using a Private Key.
Really it was a bad experience for me.

BCNEX scam project is the worst for me. there was a $200 loss when I sent my money to trade on the scam exchange.
getting the results of the bounty and indeed paying makes me sure to put money in the trade. because at that time the hype was going on and I thought it would benefit the situation.

Is it real? that's a lot of AXS that you've sold and you should've earned $200k+ if you've sold at the top, if it's real.
Therefore, now I am delving deeper into the study of fundamental projects and their technologies, such as Near Protocol, I took this token for a long time
It seems that you're into that project as it's the content of most of your post.

I think your " worst experience " is still within okay because you actually lose nothing only your time and your effort. compared to get stolen or scammed you're stil fine. but I understand that because it happens very often in crypto. what more hurts is when you put your money into that asset and the asset just becomes a display on the internet without having any value. especially with big capital.

It happened two days ago that the project I staked my assets in was hacked. Someone created millions of this project’s tokens and this way it was devalued. I lost more than 100$, but I was ready for it, so I am not very upset about this. Nevertheless devs promise compensation, I don’t really believe that we will get something. So now I think that it is too dangerous to invest in new defi-projects. Now I stake only in pancakeswap.

I will share not my worst experience, but the mistake I do quite often.

When making a transaction in metamask, from time to time, I forget to click on MAX button when selecting the amount to be send. I just select transaction fee, click next and only then realize that I've stupidly spend money sending 0 tokens. With this rush, I think I've already lost about several hundred dollars on transaction fees...

I have been following a project and have been following this project, but this coin is not a value coin, it is a meme coin, a coin that relies on people to pull people out. Fortunately, I withdrew before the coin went public. Because I don't invest in these coins, I usually invest in some valuable altcoins or bitcoins. Otherwise I will lose part of my money.
This is actually not a bad experience, it's just a waste of time. Did not lose money.

I thought at the time, the price has increased sevenfold, it can not go further up. Well, as we know today, I was way off the mark. With today's prices, you can no longer imagine that, but back then it was really like that.

Worries about storing important documents on your device because they could be stolen by friends or virus software without you knowing is installed automatically when you visit unrecommended sites. Maybe for a simple solution, you can save the file in .rar extension with password security installed and hide the .rar file in a folder that is rarely known to others.

I have a great story. My brother was farming and stealing Cake coins even when they first appeared. As a result, he sent them to his friend, but in the clipboard he had a wallet of another network and thus he sent the coins to who knows where, which led to their destruction. What is most surprising is the amount that my brother lost, it was equal to $ 40,000. Agree for a guy at the age of 22, this would be just a wonderful financial pillow.

Yes back in 2017 so many scam and ICO mania become the biggest ponzi scheme like tulip fever. Its no different with this year which many moon and dog coin that launch which promise you to get a profit by doing it together. That is why it is important for us not to be greedy and we know to be contented for things that we already gain. If you already gain x3 - x4 then that should be enough because always remember that coin just got hype because it is still new so grab it if you already gain because once the hype has gone it will drop out right away.

Correction will happen along the way and if greed takes your focus away you'll see yourself

regretting with mistake that you'll going to commit, lots of times traders and investors allows

greed to control them, instead of enjoying with decent profits, they choose to hold and hope to

see more, and what happened next, they'll just see nothing but losing their hard earned money .

That's a lot of loss that you've made but you're not alone, I've got also had my horrible experiences when I was still not that much fond of how to react during market dips and highs.

The worst experience for me is when I received an airdrop whose values increased to 1000% but too late for me to sell my shares the value went down to zero, I lose a few hundred because of my mistake of not following coins that I'm holding, so it's very important to check the news on the coins you are holding before you find it too late.
In fact airdrops are not good they are mostly scams and do contain personal information via kyc newcomers are more vulnerable. They greedily invest in airdrops to make more profit and lose everything later so it is better to stay away from these sites bitcoin is reliable and does not need to be checked if you hold a currency like ethereum.

I don't think this is the worst thing because you still make a profit from your purchase and it's not that for a small amount $800 is a pretty hefty amount.
and this happens because you are too hasty in selling your assets so that you experience it.
but on the other hand it is an advantage that you should be grateful for and an experience so you don't rush into doing anything and I think you should be grateful for it not consider it a loss

I think those who are still here are people who are basically new to crypto and are just beginners who join the hype. not everyone who is here especially old people still see coins like that because indeed they have learned from mistakes a few years ago.
I myself am a fairly new person here and am still learning about everything in detail about something, but I know about 2017 where at that time almost 80% of iCOs were scams and this is certainly very detrimental and I always see from all parties about coins like this because this is just a coin that still prioritizes pump and dump which for me personally I will not enter into coins like this because I believe I will not benefit there

my worst experience was buying the wrong token because the contract was different. so I want to buy DEFI tokens (BSC) and scamers have the exact same group as the original project group. even scamers are very smart to do that on the Dextool website. when the presale opened then I bought about 1.5 bnb. then I want to sell those tokens when they are listed on the initial exchange. but can't be sold because of different contract addresses. i realized that i got RUG and lost 1.5 bnb.

Without reading the entire thread I'm going to assume most people are going to answer in the form of some type of scam they got caught up with.  This field is riddled with scammers and if you've been here long enough you've encountered a ton.  Just dealing with these scammers has been the worst experience, probably the unsolicited spam messages not only here but every other platform as well.  Gets annoying..

Did you manage to get back though?

My bad experience in this Cryptocurrency is losing assets in my personal wallet, it happened in early 2018.
Somehow the story suddenly all of my assets in the wallet disappeared, there was even one valuable coin from my old Bounty project  waiting for the coins to distributed. And when the coins are distributed all the coins are gone, it hurts so much.

I am someone who has avoided scams and ponzis in cryptocurrency sector for the most part. But even in my case, there were a few incidents which I wish could have handled in a better way. Back in 2014 I invested in a lot of altcoins (I was new to cryptocurrency, and similar to a lot of the inexperienced users, I poured in a lot of my hard earned money in to shitcoins). And in 2015, many of these altcoins were either dead or dormant. But at the same time, there was an opportunity to invest in ETH, and I decided to ignore it.

This happens approximately with everyone. When I was new in crypto and didn't have any experience, I made many wrong decisions, and now I am regretting for those decisions. I got 5x profit from a coin but I didn't sell at that time and now I am at a big loss ;D. So I have learned a lot from my mistakes.
Actually this is not a mistake but like a disease that is experienced by almost all crypto players. Greed and lack of self-control to take profit in the right position. People who are technically good sometimes still get stuck with TA that they make themselves even though they already know which area to take profit but they still want gets more

My worst experience on crypto, back in the 2017 - 2018 where the market was bullish. I never sell all my cryptos when they were reach all time high because I thought that they will increase more but I'm planning to sell them once the price hit my desired price. Because of my greediness the market suddenly crashed and I still keep hold hoping to bounce back but nothings happen, the market still continue dumping then I decided to sell all my cryptos. I gained profit but unlike the days where I gained x10 so I regretted that I did not sell them at high price.

Having my wallet ripped of about 2000$ in 2018 has been my worst experience in crypto. I was new to the game then with little knowledge on how it works. It all happened when I incautiously clicked a wrong MYETHERWALLET link. It was indeed a long story and a worst one and that made me stop crypto for 2 years.

In the encryption world, it may be full of unlimited regrets.
I sold the second secondary coin, and the next second price will be twice. I will emotionally, I can't control my emotions.
Now I often miss some opportunities to invest in speculation coins. I would be so upset that I kept thinking about it, so much so that I would dream of similar things in my dreams at night.
In my dreams, I was looking at market trends. . .

I used to invest in projects without careful research, just listening to other people's opinions. But I couldn’t understand how to cover all projects because I wasn’t afraid of losing potential income. But then I read a book “The richest man in Babylon '' where it was said that gold abandons those who invest it in overwhelming undertakings and in something that they don’t understand. So this experience I consider to be the worst.

Back then in early 2017 when I started crypto, there are so much money flying here and then. You see airdrops which is more popular then than now that bounty has taken over and ambassadors. The first experience I had was selling a coin that later went up to $35,000 for just $6. The news we had about the coin was that it's was going to dump after distribution, all we all, including myself sold it cheap. That would have been my major breakthrough in crypto. And the second time is when I was scammed of $200 coin on telegram. Though the money is small but it was the one that pained me most, cause I needed that money at that particular time. I need to sold one of my gadgets to sort myself. I have always said this that experience is the best teacher, it will teach you what can never be taught in the four walls of classrooms. Be it the elementary, high school, college and even the tertiary institutions.

This is why the crypto world cannot be forced if you do not have good knowledge, there are many ways to lose money here, whether intentional or not, this can be overcome if knowledge of crypto already exists in that person, I think this is a natural thing to happen to anyone.

Especially now that there are many projects that are fraudulent in nature without being able to analyze properly, almost everyone has experienced it, both in large and small amounts, but whatever we have experienced, it is not a reason to just stop.

I Have the same experience like yours but, the amount of loss that i experience was higher than you (about 1k$ lost, scammers)

Because i got scammed and lost so many (i got scammed TWICE, shame on me :'( ), my motivation to do cryptocurrency was down to the bottom. Luckily after that, i got some good bounty and airdrops that covers almost the total loss of my money.

while in the process you did managed to earn it back and you learned after.

I suggest that before throwing funds into crypto money, make sure you have done your research and really studied the crypto asset you are looking for. Not only to study the coin, but also to learn the technology that embodies the crypto asset. Learn about the prospects and how the technology that underpins the coin works.
Another thing that is also important to know is how many coins the asset is issued annually or in total. Then, how big is the market capitalization and daily trading volume. The more diligent you study, the less risk you will bear because you can mitigate as early as possible.

Sometimes I have analyzed a project from several factors, analyzed the whitepaper, team, allocation of funds, the level of community support for a project and the market cap of a project. by the time the sale was over they reached the market cap and were successful, that's when the bear market just started, and because I was too enthusiastic about crypto, I decided to hold long term, and what I got, I lost almost 99% on the ICO purchase . I've come to the conclusion, maybe I'm too greedy and too FOMO. and it makes people suffer a very big loss.

My worst experience in crypto when I sold all my coins in a lower price because of fear that the value will continue to drop down and never climb back again but unfortunately after two weeks I saw the value of my coin increased too much which I really feel regret. I've known about crypto for a long time but only heard from friends and haven't really learned about it. I started crypto from this forum, with an invitation from one of my friends who is certainly active in the trading field. Initially, it was all about bounty hunters who could earn crypto without cash. so I'm interested.
But after he introduced the forum, he didn't teach me about bounty. Until one day when asked to talk about here, you must have felt something detrimental, ranging from project fraud, panic selling by selling with a small profit, even though in the near future it will increase many times and eventually regret it.
and my unforgettable experience is when I buy coins in large quantities because conditions keep going up and when I buy, I hope to continue to increase and it turns out that the coins go down drastically in an instant without getting back up.
Those are all valuable lessons for me so that in the future I will be more careful to start again

Telling a bad experience in crypto will be a lesson for beginners who have just joined. I also had a bad experience in crypto, back in 2018. I got an email from a scammer saying that I have received a deposit of 1.7 ETH. The email includes a link that leads to a phishing web and enters a private key to log in. until finally my balance was stolen until it runs out. but it happened when I didn't know about crypto yet and was tempted by the big prizes.

Yes but strangely there have been so many bad experiences but there are some people who don't take advantage of the incident.
as for my worst experience with crypto maybe having tokens but never cared about those tokens until a few months later i realized i missed the opportunity to multiply profits when the token was pumped so strongly within a few days and after that dumped until it had no value.

This is also experienced by most people in crypto investment. Many people are not patient to wait for the increase in their coins prices, so they sell all the coins too early. Unfortunately, when they checked again the coins prices in the next few days, it is even pumped greatly. This also can happen because of the lack of monitoring related to project progress. We must know that following the progress of the project that we invest in its coin, is very important. It can help us to know the potential of the price increase if the project plans an event in the near future. Some events such as burning, stacking, or trading competition, can trigger the price to increase.

but I'm sure you are aware of the risks you have taken.
Trust me, you're not the only one who has this kind of experience. old members must have had the same experience as you.
I'm sure all bounty hunters are very familiar with the risks of participating in the bounty campaign. It all depends on us how we can minimize the risk.
wish you success in the future.

Sometimes the decision to hold on is not the right decision,
with that bad experience I think you can also learn it so that when there is another opportunity you can maximize it and get a big profit,
What is clear is that what has happened is not to be regretted and it is better to keep looking forward

That exchange is a scam, stealing customers' money. Be careful of all of you. I lost almost $5000 recently. Even more so because the coin I intend to sell the price is getting up. You better trade on exchanges that have a good reputation.

I really haven't had a very bad experience in the crypto world, I've only ever lost because I released my tokens at a price that was just dropping. so never play on an exchange that is not well known if you don't want to take the risk. just wait for the right time.

Fake exchanges have sabotaged the price of coins to be higher than the average price on other exchanges, because victims feel they are benefiting from arbitrage so deposit to the exchange in hopes of instant profits, the exchange does not credit you the deposit because the balance is in the scammer' wallet. Beware that fake arbitrage signals also spread within the telegram spammer group.

we shouldn't deposit our money into a new exchanger that have no trust from people. there are so many scam project that have a goal to make an exchanger. but in the end, they just want to scam. i don't know why people still use a new exchanger while there are a lot of big and trusted exchanger have existed.

It could help but maybe he doesn't want to accuse the exchange without enough supporting documents, otherwise, it's formal if he will make a scam accusation report so everyone can see. Losing $5000 is very painful especially in times of pandemic, that's already a huge amount of money that could help us to ease our financial problems this time.

The worst is falling prey to scammers when you are involved in the altcoin market of a project and still we can see many falling for frauds as they contact people disguising as customer support representatives if we have any issues or doubts and people give away their private keys to these random scammers and that is still going on and i have no idea when people will understand the basic.

In the beginning, I opened an account at Bittrex, at that time I had no idea about cryptocurrency. I normally created an account with a random name and later I deposited some dollars in that account for trading. But after one year, they asked all users to verify the KYC. Since I opened the account with a random name, they didn't accept my real identity to verify the account. They froze my account as I could not provide any KYC for that random name. I had a few thousand dollars deposit there.

bad things happen because new to crypto with no experience and know little, invest straight away. this happened to me a few years ago. I do not divide my finances for urgent situations and for long-term investments. I invested everything and what happened I panicked because the price of Etherum went down and I really needed the money. in the end I had to be prepared to lose $530.

Awts, but the same with your sentiments, that's how most investors losses their money. They just jump right away because of the fomo's and not to educate themselves before doing such actions.

Panic is the worse enemy inside any trading business, if you don't know or if you don't have any ideas with the assets that you are using.

Expect that you'll be shaken once the value falls down. Take your time to investigate and deal with your deeper research, that's how things should be done. Learn from your past mistakes and try to correct it by not doing the same thing over and over.

my worst experience happened some time ago because of losing 0.01 BTC, you can see my previous post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357582.0 and for the second one is not to exit the market at the right time because at that time I was too believe and do not realize the risk

Here i am going to discussed worst cases. Because lot of people adopting to Crypto space and some getting more and some ended up with nothing.

back 2017 i have no experience and new so some execution not got timely.

My worst experience was Not exit at the correct time. there was a ICO it gave me 10X.  (6500USD) but i did not exit at the correct time so it went for 400usd.

I sent ETH to unknown escrow. 200$ lost. scammers

Not aware of USDT. Its a very bad experience.

Not concern about Technical analysis.

so today i have massive experience so i know how to play the game. Lets share experiences so enrich newbies knowledge.

Cheers

Crypto bad experience when i start particapiting bounties most of them failed to pay via token or if theres a token it goes into shitcoins. Attending bounties is not easy you need to spend time example in signatures, social medias and many more category. Even though you didnt put up any money but spending work and time is the investment.

Given all the terrible boys around town, my worst situation is simply about the authenticity and for how long. To be on the safe zone, start small today and raise if the yields are good. That is the law of the game to be prosperous!!

It's important to highlight that we learn from the past and strive to avoid repeating them. The unpleasant situations, on the other hand, made one a better bitcoin investor.

Whenever you fail, don't give up easy; instead, continue attempting.Losers would never win, and quitters will never quit. Let's keep moving forward, and eventually we'll strike huge CASH.

You only tell about the losses you get due to lack of experience in ICO investment. While you do not share the methods you should do to avoid losses. How can someone get knowledge from the story you write. Many ICO investments in 2017 suffered losses, because most of the projects launched ended in scams. However, in 2021 crypto investments can already be made on an exchange, or what is called an IEO. This means that investors' courage in entrusting their assets to certain exchanges is higher than before. In addition, we can also invest in projects managed by a trusted team and BM, so that the success rate is higher.

My worst experience is selling off my hex coins thinking it is one of the many shits coins in my portfolio only for it to be worth a fortune now. I bought 30,000 hex tokens through the pre-sale stage and at the beginning, the coin was underperforming so I decide to sell them off when the price reached 0.005 cents and in a year now hex coin is presently selling for 0.45 this thought me a big lesson.

I think my worst experience was back in 2018 I mistakenly sent $1600 bitcoin to a wrong address…. Was a really long week …. I was supposed to send bitcoin to a newbie and I thought i had explained well enough, only for him to send me a wrong wallet address but thankfully it was on coinomi and the admin helped get the bitcoin back

There can be nothing worse than losing your coins in a scam project. And in my case that happened in 2013, when I had dozens of BTC in my wallet. Lost around 60% of the total holdings to the scam. Back then I was relatively new to cryptocurrency and trusted a few guys who were not trustworthy. And as a result I am still forced to continue with my full-time job. If I had all those coins, then in all probability I would have retired from my full time job and purchased a private island along with a couple of luxury yachts.

The worst experience I had in crypto was when my cellphone died completely where my cellphone stored the private key of my eos wallet, I lost quite a lot of money for me because that was my savings from the bounty results using the eos wallet, this taught me a lesson in the future by saving PK all my wallets in 3 places, I even print them so they don't lose again

this is also an experience for me to back up all important files. then if there is a disturbance like yours later we will not lose all the assets owned. different from you, I had a bad experience, at the beginning of the year I sold ethereum from the bounty savings, because after that the price soared to this day and if I exchanged it now, maybe I have made a lot of profit

almost everyone has experienced bad things especially for beginners, in my opinion it is very reasonable and after that there will be a lot of good learning for the future. My worst experience in the past was when I saw the market price all the time causing panic when my assets continued to fall until I often did stupid things with stop losses until I finally regretted it. because of that bad thing I'm currently learning a lot and getting better at trading.

Was it a MEW wallet? Lol, same experience but it did not hurt me a lot since I don't have a decent amount in the certain wallet. But good to hear that you learn from your experience, we just have to be more careful next time as we are dealing with money here. I never thought of sending it to an email, that sounds safe but the json file only, now the private key or password.

The worst-case was to lose seed written recovery paper on another country that I visited for few days. Later I had to transfer the coins to another cold storage and restore the first one. Imagine someone found it and spend my hard-earned coin in a few minutes, so scary.. ::)

Damn, a similar experience has happened on my trading journey too. Opening a random account on some weird exchange to trade small volume tokens and they kept asking the personal documents to verify the account. Ofc, I sacrificed my tokens for protecting my personal data, documents. It doesn't worth giving away your personal data just because someone asks to verify an account on an unknown small crypto exchange. Providing data to third parties carries some risks and I don't want to see my documents sold on Dark Web..

That is primarily the issue with using a private key, which MEW does not recommend because you may misplace it or fail to save it. The best is a hardware wallet like trezor, which is very safe, but for those who cannot afford it, we should store it in a safe place, such as having it in your drive in PC, in your email, in your flash drive, and also in Google Keep, which is what I usually do in case I lose one so I still have a backup even though all of my wallets have no money but in case I really need it haha.

Within the years I have so many bad experience with crytocurrency but the worst I ever had was selling my one of tokens for only sixty-eight dollars and just after a few weeks the price of what I sold rises to almost four thousand dollars.I highly regretted letting my coins go at that time but It also taught me a lesson of holding coins with great p nootential for a longer period of time.

Back during the previous ATH everyone have got similar experience of missing a big opportunity to make money exiting at the right time. Myself has similar experience of losing around $20k worth tokens which on later years turned around $900. By those days I wasn't that aware of the market as well as I never believed on such growth. When sudden growth happened I wasn't able to do anything, and just left to grow further. This is not out of greed, but out of hope. To my expectations things went against my prediction.

Bad experiences are learning curves or stones for us to learn on how thing works because if you dont then you would really be not become a good trader/investor. In numbers of bad experiences then I do have lots

which it do almost end up on quitting on this market because it is way too unpredictable but if you do realize on how it do works and be wise then you could at least hang on and able to deal with it.

Just move on and try to be sustainable and able to survive because this isnt something that could be handled well.

A kind of experienced that you will always carry each time you invest your money, it's not something that

will happen a lot of times, if you missed the train the next ride might take longer. You said it's not because of

greed but more on mistakes with your own assessment, many similar cases happen around and there are

investors who can agree with that, it's always good to accept that failure and use it as a learning patterns

for much better business.

Regret selling coins at a low price, just because it was eaten by FUD and it hurts. I'd rather lose my assets because of my own analysis, than lose it in the way I mentioned earlier.
Here I really realized that in the world of cryptocurrency we should not trust people's words, especially for no apparent reason.
Although the nominal is relatively small, but it makes me unable to sleep.

One of my worst experience in crypto space are not trying to find review of exchanges I intend to make a deposit or not paying attention to fees, minimum trading and withdrawal amounts. At the beginning of my acquaintance I used to deposit my bounty rewards to exchange and not be able to withdraw them or trade, as their values were lower than minimum. Hundreds dollar worth crypto hung on exchange wallets. $10 here, $5 there, a bit there and etc... And I've lost even more from making a deposit and never getting funds on my exchange balance. Last time I got caught with that was VinDAX. Made a deposit while token was on a pump, months has passed already, but I never got my tokens.

This is a common experience with everyone here I believe so. And it hurts when that happens. Losing your profit because of greed of not taking profit at the right time is something that every trader and investor will continue to experience. This is my worse mistake so far if that will count as one. I have been lucky so far on other bad sides.

What do you mean by losing a friend? Was the loss because he was completely unheard of? If so, I don't think it's wise to split up because of differences of opinion about cryptocurrencies. You must maintain your friendship even though there are differences, in fact differences should make you even closer.
But if you just lose a partner in cryptocurrency, it's a natural thing. Indeed sometimes there is a feeling that is lacking if we lose something that is everyday together. But don't let your enthusiasm diminish because of it.

My worst experience is when I have a chance to become a millionaire but I did not hold my coin for only 3 months, those are altcoins that I get from bounty one of this coin is a new coin and it is a play to earn project and now listed on binance that was really a very sad experience for me.
Sometimes the bad experience can be a stepping stone to success in the future,
it's better to just think positive maybe it's not your luck and we can use that experience as a lesson so that later we don't repeat the same thing

Luck and badluck yes they play an important role as much as other things. I remember I have the coin that supposed to be worth thousands of dollars few days later but I accidentally sold it under a cent. I felt really bad whenever I remember it , and I count it as one of my worst experience here in crypto.

@rhodel 3 months is kinda long wait and who knows that what if the coin turned bad? At least you have sold it for some nice amount. Right now, there are so many scams and most of them are new projects so it is hard to decide if we will hold them for a longer time or sold them as early as possible for a sure profit.

I ever on your position and twice moment when I try investing on coin listed at Hotbit and Lbank, first I spent $1,000 for investing coin listed on Hotbit but developer change with new coin and price dump until my fund left only 1$ right now with coin price dump. Later I try spent $500 on Lbank exchange market coin listing but have the same thing owner change smart contract address with new contract and I loss much there with my fund left 20$ right now. Maybe some time cut loss is best way before loss all fund and I will be careful with coin easy for upgrade smart contract with BSC and Polygon network.

never trust anyone in cryptocurrencies because it will make you lose assets and it was the worst experience I've ever had, because it's easy to trust other people we don't know so in the end I have to lose $ 1000.so be careful when transacting with escrow unless you are familiar with it. and be careful in buying altcoins during the ICO because not all projects are trusted. so you better buy on the market exchange.
