There are numerous reasons for this. Not everyone buys stocks for short term gains. People buy stocks because they know the company and they know the business is going to stay in next 50 years just the way it has stayed here in previous to years. Also stocks give you ownership rights in the decision making of entity which crypto doesn't give. Secondly crypto can increase by good percentage daily but at the same time it can fall at a great percentage daily too. This means that traders can lose money as easily as they would make money. So cryptos are not going to replace stocks anytime soon.

Not everybody knows a thing about crypto.

2nd.

It's likely that they're already in stocks and they're already used to it.

3rd.

If they know about crypto then they've settled for a lesser risk market and that's the stocks.

4th.

We should mind our own business and stay to whichever market we're used to and happy to keep going.

Not everyone is going to like crypto. There is always going to be about few things people can know of a thing. Not so many people would like crypto as well as not many other would like stocks and many others won't like the both. Its a factor and it matters.
On the other hand, the Knowledge one knows about it becomes another limiting factor, if you don't know so much about it such that, it gives you the courage to go into it,  it becomes a limitation as to why you can't go I to it. Even with the fact that, you see others benefiting from it, you just can't venture there.
Another thing is how well you know it and if it has any futuristic promises about it. You don't want something that won't last for a long term and produce results that, would keep survival thoughts and debts off the table with minimal risk.

All thses are reasons or factors and there are a lot of others. They all count towards why you can't just make the choices.

It's because stocks is obviously way ahead of crypto, we have seen many individuals becoming billionaires and millionaires thru stock investment. Even my father before he passed away was telling me to invest on stocks.

As for crypto, been in the space for the last 10 years and then it had a volatility that stocks investors can't stomach, just like what Warren Buffett has been preaching and his attacks steam from this notion. So it's going to be a hard sell for stock people specially for old and traditional fart like Munger and Buffett.

Because not a lot of people knows about bitcoin compared to stocks and older people are not inclined to technology so if they don't understand bitcoin then they won't invest in it, not to mention that they are easily dissuaded into opposing bitcoin.

stock aren't lacking in volatility either, you see in crypto most of the coins that get pumped hard are those kind of coins that usually have lower market cap and not even top 50, same with stock, some of the stock more specifically the smaller market cap and have lower rate tend to get massive pump and there's nothing wrong with investing in stock. I mean the two thing can coexist right?not to mention some people also concerned with legality of crypto which I assume not gonna be a problem in the future but some country still forbid the citizens from trading it.

Just like crypto, Investors purchase them for their profits. Their small Share price may indicate that they have fallen off the radar with traders for whatever reason. Asset classes may be growth and profit stocks. People purchase stocks with value with the expectation that the economy overreacts and the inventory price rebounds. However, stock traders prefer it than crypto because it is regulated and perfectly backup by known entity and not anonymous people

There are many reasons people choose stock investing over crypto. I have asked a friend of mine who prefers stock investing over crypto. the reason she chose stocks is that stocks have clear regulations and rules. In addition, she can get dividends regularly every period and has the right to attend the General Meeting of Shareholders. Stock investment is also safe from theft of assets.

If you ask for profit, in truth, there is no definite thing that can determine that investing in crypto or stocks can be more profitable. All decisions depend on the preferences of each individual. Various variables must be considered and criteria that you can use as a guide in choosing an investment instrument and making the right strategy.

It depends on your preferences, some wants to have many kinds of investment so that they have different sources of income.

You can invest on both as long as you can manage them properly without any struggle. These two can be profitable at the same time whenever you want.

Honestly I completely forget about investing with stocks market after getting into crypto. Limited available funds must be another reason for my case still I would have managed to invest into stocks from the profits I'm getting from crypto still I never considered stocks as an another option for my investments.

I may not consider stocks in near future as well but instead of stocks I may go for gold and other similar kind of alternate investment is needed in future.

Cryptocurrency is still new to most of the people, while with stock people are now familiar with tens years. For other - stocks is still a "legal" or "transparent" way to earn, as it is more monitored and income tax is paid annually. This is more "white" way to earn on investment.

Sure we can earn 100 % with buying cytpo currencies, but we also have the risk to lose 80%. The risks of buying alt coins is higher than buying blue chips. When we buy stocks of an top rated company than we are a partial owner of the company, we are entitled to earn dividends each year which is already making a nice return on its own. When a crypto coin goes bankrupt we lose it all, but with a company we still get a small percentage back after the bankruptcy.

i know some people who also buy stocks because they know the company well, he had been working in the company for more than 10 years as well. there are some who still in stocks because they feel it's safer there cause it's regulated than crypto.

forex market still has trillions of volume trading there so there is no question why there are still trading there and not in crypto. preferences of the traders.

Stocks are same with Cryptomarket, it just that cyrptocurrency are more volatile but we are following the same rules in trading and most of the stocks also reaching their peaks and bottoms. We cannot force the stock trader to shift into cryptomarket but if you're a good trader, you'll see this market as an opportunity to increase your source of income and start trading as well, its just a matter of choice for every investors.

It’s what we call diversifying your investments. If people choose to buy stocks aside from crypto, then that’s their choice and decision. because the only crypto worth investing in is bitcoin and it is not a good idea to go full in bitcoin. people should diversify and what is better to diversify into than stocks that have no relations with bitcoin.

true but also when there is a pump there is also a dump. in other words you can lost 100% in that same "Good coins" that got pumped.

Even trading will be halted if that company goes bankrupted then you may need to bite the dust, there cannot be any exception. You are simply arguing for centralized/regulated things whereas crypto is pure form of decentralization. There should be many obvious advantages and disadvantages and we cannot do anything by comparing them still people who care about privacy and freedom choosing and enjoying cryptos over stocks.

Warren Buffet mentioned about this particularly: most of his profits were made in just few days; it means when you are entering and exiting matters. For example, if you would have bought dogecoins some 3 months back then you might got chances to enjoy at least 25x growth in less than 100 days; you do not need to mine and hold dogecoins for years to become rich.

People will work and make a profit where they are used to and what they know about. If they have been working in the stock and securities market for years, it is difficult for them to leave their usual job and move to a market that works a little differently and which is still very weakly regulated by states. First of all I doubt you can earn 3% daily fixed without serious risks. Stocks and even crypto aren't easy to make profit like you said. Sometimes the profit takes years to come and an investor must be very patient to not lose money on these markets. So far crypto universe is seen as a pure speculative environment, that is why most investors don't move most of their funds to it.
Stocks is about real businesses. There are actually people working, companies building and growing behind the stocks you buy and hold, what makes the investment safer and more sustainable. I mean, stocks don't rely only in speculation to thrive. And although crypto currency's future is bright and it brings a lot of innovations to the financial world, it's still pumped mostly by speculative moves.

It is  matter of preference, if people still want to invest in the stock market then let them, it is their choice, however it makes sense why some people still want to invest there, to begin with the volume is much higher which means that whales can move more freely while they will be more restricted in this market, also in many countries when you buy a stock and keep it for more than one year and then you sell you do not have to pay taxes, also those whales do not care as much on making their capital grow as they care about maintaining it which is why they prefer the stock market over this one.

There are several reasons people still buy stocks. I'd highlight some of the reasons here
1. People still buy stocks because they don't know about the crypto market. Or they know but don't understand how it works.
2. People still buy stocks because it is less risky as compared to the crypto market where there's the possibility of losing all in a single night
3. People still buy stocks because they also want to diversify their portfolios. Many people.know about crypto and understand how it works but still choose to buy stocks because they just want to diversify their source of income.

Do you see how many people in media show their hatred in Bitcoin? People saying that it is used for money laundering? People that emphasizes that the bubble will burst and it will be worthless in the end. Yeah those are the reasons.
Some doesn't want to wait for their transaction to be confirmed within dozens of seconds.
All have their own reasoning. I wouldn't invest in crypto if my misconception of it being "dark web's money" isn't cleared up by my friend.

All because of habits, mastery and knowledge in their respective choices and maybe another reason because those who still choose stocks do not know and understand crypto in depth.

We all have different goals and strategies in trading, those who are still in stocks are still making money and that’s why they can’t leave the market or else, someone will take that opportunity to make money as well. So its just normal that they would able to make some money and also you cant say that those stocks-loving investors doesnt get involved with crypto.

And besides, not all these stock traders are familiar or into crypto. So you can't expect all of them to go into crypto market. The risk in crypto is quite high as compared to stock market. Those people in stock market, already know the ins and outs in their system. But with crypto, they need to be oriented also and learn how crypto trading works. And the bottleneck may be on how to be familiarized with so many alts. Each alt has their own pros and cons.

In fact there is a difference between Stock Trading and crypto. The goal is of course the same goal of achieving profit when buying cheap and selling at high / expensive, technically similar.

What makes stocks and crypto different are:stocks are only traded on the stock exchange or the company has only one type of fiat currency while crypto has various types such as Bitcoin, Eth, LTC and many other types of crypto.
In terms of trading, flying hours are also different, stocks are only traded 6 hours in a matter of 5 working days while crypto can be done without a limited time, for example: hourly, day per second and also per year, crypto can be traded day / morning and night.

The bottom line: both of these trades have their own risks in determining profits in stock trading. Of course, they have their own profit value, crypto too, people can do both and have different advantages, depending on the capital they have.

The same misconception is what's hindering quite a lot of people from investing in cryptocurrencies, the media is actually not doing Bitcoin and other crypto's any good, without further research by one willing to Invest in Bitcoin I feel they'll automatically be discouraged with what the media puts out there. And then, it is what it is, people have different risk concerns and that's what shapes their investment options, either it's Bitcoin, Real estate, Stocks, etc, it's basically down to how much the individual has, how long their willing to wait on ROI, and the risk inherent in the particular investment.

Thus, not cause Crypto is suitable for 'Bob' means it'll be for 'Harry', different individuals have different choices, and cause someone made good ROI from Bitcoin doesn't mean another will, people assess their choices and choose what's best for them, if Crypto works for you, stocks could work for your 'neighbor'.

Many people think that crypto and stock markets are just the same but it's not. They think that when they are really good in the stock market, they can eventually convert their skills into crypto but hell no. Another thing is that there are a lot of short-term profits in the stock market unlike the crypto that you need to wait until the good coins that you are talking about pump up and that's the time that you will be able to get your 100% profit.

That's correct and there are many other horrible stuff that could happen as well. I have seen companies bankrupt and that is the most known one, there is no guarantee how much you could lose from a company like that, there is no guarantee of income at all in stock market. However another bad thing that could happen would be a company doing something illegal, so in that case you get a penalty for shareholder as well, the company pays the fine but when they do, you lose as a shareholder, so for some board of directors accepting to do something illegal may result with you losing money, how is that fair?

In the end crypto is decentralized and only people who decide on the price are the people who buy and sell, there is no central organization that you tie your hopes to that could end up giving you any loss and I would rather let general population decide my faith than some board of directors.

Maybe it was just an ad asking people to play stocks, seeing people playing stocks making huge profits and buying some supercars and mansions. There are several factors that make people stay because they really understand about it. But some others may take risks and do not understand about the stock and it can also be a show for their friends. But if the person is very knowledgeable about stocks then he / she will try to invest in virtual currency which is more profitable. Maybe.

Many people consider the cryptocurrency market as an experiment and they cannot understand the logical sense on why the  market is moving up every few years and you cannot blame them either as the cryptocurrency market is fairly new and anyone who invested in any coin during the early phase made a huge fortune. There are people who really need conviction before entering a market and you cannot force everyone to get interested in a new market.

Manipulation of the market is possible with cryptocurrency market.
With cryptomarket you need to be lucky to get the 100% gain.
With stocks 3% can be made regularly by the skilled ones.
People aren't much aware of the cryptomarket.
Investing on stocks are long term focused.
Closer prediction is possible with stocks.
The market isn't easily manipulated.

Simple because stocks first arise compared to crypto and also people have get used on having the presence of stocks use in different aspects specially when it comes to trading. Other reason is that there are still a big population that wanted to get along on staying with stocks rather than patronizing crypto despite of the fact that it have already proven itself better than stocks with this pandemic that causes the crash of stock market. Lack of knowledge to crypto - for us who are in this forum, we might say that at least we know the basics of cryptocurrency already but for some investors its either they really don't know crypto or they just don't want to touch it because they are afraid to do it because they are lacking some knowledge about it.

2. Risk - We know the risk of crypto and compare to the risk in stocks, its far far riskier in crypto. There are some investors out there who prefer low risk low reward strategy rather than going high risk high reward.

3. Diversification - As investors, diversification is very important and as for me I already allotted some money in stocks just to diversify my portfolio. We know that markets are moving in cycles that is why I took out some money and invested it into other investments.

Crypto is very volatile so there are still some people that prefer buying stocks. We experienced an 80% correction way back in 2018 and we just recovered last year. And I'm sure we are speculating if that would happen again. If I have plenty of money I would not just put it on crypto. Stocks have less gain but it won't matter if you have huge capital in them plus they are backed up by big companies. In crypto, they are just speculation. You invest in that particular coin because you put your trust in them and believe that it has the potential to increase massively in the future.

I agree people who hate volatility as a big problem will go for investing with stocks even they are already aware of cryptocurrencies and its high profitability. In my opinion at the same time, those people are missing out life changing opportunity of what cryptocurrencies are providing through high volatility.

But I will not. Stocks are known for slow progress with less volatility. I prefer good returns even with high volatility. ROI of bitcoin is still unbeatable by any of stocks world wide.

I think the reason is that not everyone knows about bitcoin compared to stocks which is still more popular especially for older people. Another reason I can think of is that stocks are less volatile compared cryptocurrency which is understandable, some people will have a hard processing the fact that their investment goes down at really sharp curves when investing in crypto. Also, most financial advisor probably recommends stocks instead of cryptocurrency as an investment to their client.

Apparently, because it is way less risky than crypto. We all know how unstable or volatile the crypto market is and perhaps they can't handle that amount of risk that is why they still choose stocks over crypto. One more thing I can think of is that they have no idea about it or they prefer stock because they are much used to it like if they transfer on crypto it would be a bloodbath on their portfolio or something. I think we all have our own preferences so let's just respect each other if you like crypto then go for it and if you like stock then go use it, it all can be profitable anyway depending on how we will handle our trades.

It is called "diversifying investments".
 Others wanted to have different kind of investments, so its not surprising if a particular investor will put his money in cryptocurrency, stocks, real estate or gold at the same time. As long as he/she knows the risks of investing those and as long as they are willing to take all the possible consequences then probably not a problem.

I have a small portfolio of stocks plus a few good ETFs. I'm heavily invested in BTC and that doesn't mean I can't diversify my earnings in other products. 90% of my wealth is in bitcoin anyway and I'm fine with it.
Still, I believe I can make good use of old world financial instruments and investments.

Some people find it difficult to adapt to change, those who invest on stock are familiar with it, not ready to take risk because unlike crypto stocks are more conservative in nature, crypto is not, high risk and high reward explains the nature of crypto more,
although there is nothing wrong with diversification, since stock is not as risky as crypto investment perhaps is the reason why some people still prefer to invest there.

The answer on your question is very simple. People buy stocks and cryptocurrency because the more investment you have, the more profit you'll get in the long run. Also, not every people who buys cryptocurrency means that he's gonna forget stocks instantly, no, it doesn't work that way. It's either he'll figure out what he really likes or he likes to have both, cause why not.

There are still lots of people who don't know what cryptocurrency is or even clueless about how it works. It's some people's personal choice to buy stocks because they find it less risky than investing in cryptocurrency which is known to be volatile. Some people invest in what they used to be and in their comfortability. Those who buy stocks are maybe doing it for a long time and they already know how it would work for them.

People tell me stock is not a scam and all bs. They know nothing about stock, every stock is a product of scam, don’t trust those stock salesman, they need idiot like you to buy their stock.

Anyway, if you buy enough stock, you will own the company (majority shareholder). In crypto, if you buy enough crypto you won't own the brand/ticker, you will only become a whale. Can't do anything with your bag except hold it and wait for someone else to buy it.

Yes if you have enough shares in a company you become owner of majority part of the company whereas in crypto it is not like that, plus you are dividends from your shares, am sure those who still prefer to invest in stocks more than crypto consider this things and other benefits as well.

Believe me, whatever you believe can make a profit for you then that is the best investment for you but not for anyone else. Not everyone likes crypto, and not all of these crypto will hate the stock market. Before people got to know crypto, most of them probably already understood the stock market and got their profits and losses from it. If they don't like crypto because of its high risk, they probably won't be suitable for this investment. Also people are never forced to invest here.

You have used a quite cheeky image there, I mean it does help with your point but it is definitely cheecky. Netflix went up 13488% that is true but it is SINCE 2004, so that is 17 years, and it is same for others as well, disney is high but since 2002, and Tesla got high but since 2011 as well. So long story short all these things made a profit in a decade or two for what bitcoin did in half a decade, that is not really that shocking if you ask me, that is why the question of "why to go stocks when you can make that much in crypto?" Because there are altcoins that probably did this much just in 2021 for the past 5 months, and that means stocks are not really an ideal thing to invest into.

The real reason to me would be that if you trust a company and you want to become "partners" you can sort of become one, a tiny one but you share that companies success, and if you really want that, then there is nothing that can stop you.

If we have sachet water why are people still buying table water, I will compare your subject with that. Both are means of investment and they differ in how you operate it. Every individual has the freedom to choose whatsoever investment to dive into considering the money, risk, length of time to yield, and many more possible reasons.

For me, the word "diversification" comes to mind. I start getting this feeling lately that keeping almost everything in just one type of asset isn't too wise, so even though I never played with stocks I might look closer into that.

You could ask the average person if they think holding money on a bank account is better than investing most will probably say that investing is better, yet most people never invest their money.

People who prefer stocks are usually older. Also, people who have a lot of money rarely want to take s big risk. They prefer a steady small gain over big gain followed by a big loss if you don't sell at a right moment.

That depends though, some financial advisors measure their clients risk tolerance and they might be able to advice themm a much suited investments. Also not all financial advisor are working on your best interest because they have to be certified as a fiduciary so you can be sure that they in your good side.

I think because stocks comes first before cryptocurrencies. With that, more people knew stocks than crpyto. Since we can also earn from stock, they already have spend a lot of time in studying on how to invest and earn from it. They become committed to stocks, they may have no time for crypto, they may see the higher risk from crypto and since they are already earning from stocks, there is no reason for them to find something new to earn.

This is a huge factor, my dad would never invest in crypto currencies but he is trading stocks. And he keeps buying high risk stocks at the wrong time, with cryptos he would have made some decent money instead of losing it with stocks. Another big factor for stocks is that most retirement funds invest heavily in stocks. In my insurance policy I can choose between 15-20 different investment funds. 70% of those funds are stock funds, with a few bond and commodity funds. There is no option do by crypto funds.

Basically, just because some alts jumped like crazy (even I am not sure how they managed) it doesn't make them better! It makes them riskier, and I think we should wait and see what will happen with many of them in the next year, or two... while some stocks are surviving for decades, and in that way, they are more reliable and stable.
In the end, as long as there's some possible profit (in the short or long run) there will be people who will try to take advantage of it!

Because it's different type of investment. Many people still like stocks since there are real companies with stocks, they can see the progress of the company, know what's going on when the price increase or decrease, and can decide their investment by doing analysis of the company fundamental or such. It's less risky although of course the profit is not as high as crypto. However, crypto is more volatile, hard to predict, and can't really do analysis, since anything can happen in this market. But of course, since the risk is high, the profit we can earn is higher as well, so many people love crypto. It's just different perspective and taste, not many want to put their money in something risky, and prefer to play it slowly but surely.

I agree. This aspect is too dangerous to many investors so that they choose to stay outside and observe. Because of that reason, stocks are still their priority. They have a correct point. We do not know whether cryptocurrency is a good sign or not since we are facing fake projects, pump & dump scheme as well as scam exchanges. I think the biggest reason why traders are still hesitant to move into the crypto market is the lack of trust that comes with the decentralization that is associated with cryptocurrencies. I know there are much better returns on some crypto as compared to stocks and risk lies with both the markets but when you invest in a stock you are supporting a company and expecting it to grow in the coming time but with crypto, you are trusting a particular coin to do well based on the promises they made in their whitepaper.

With so many fake and scam ICOs in the market it is hard for anyone to jump into the market knowing they might get trapped into a scam coin. Another reason might be because even today a lot of countries haven't accepted Bitcoins and it is nearly impossible to stick with something whose future looks dark and lies within the hands of the government. Because, they have a huge capital to invest and even the 3% you are talking about, I don't know where it came from, is pretty huge. I don't think people even expect 3% daily from shares, I would be glad with 1% daily in fact as long as it comes without major risks.

There has some reason 1st knowledge. Though bitcoin is still not a subject for us we couldn’t learn bitcoin from any school or College if we need to learn then we have to find it on internet. Where we know about stocks in every where like school, College books, Daily article on news paper about stocks price update, daily tv shows about financial market. Because of these lots of people still know about only stock market. 2nd its unpredictable up down situation we know that crypto is a platform where coin price goes up or down in just a second and it could be any amount what people thinks much risky where stocks price is not it might be a 1-30% a daily up down situation which is quite safe. I agree with this opinion, in most people what they think and look for are safe things, whenever it is about money they look for the most stable, what is backed by Gold, by precious metals or what is backed by large corporations like GE, Disney, Amazon, Apple, among other stocks that are trusted by most people.

Well, crypto trading has more profit than stocks I agree, but the risks of trading crypto vs trading stocks is really very high, and stocks (of good and established companies) are generally considered as safe investments, even through the eyes of government and regulations. Plus, it doesn't harm really to have some stocks in portfolios! Purchasing stocks of good companies is being a part of it and contributing to its growth making a good work for the society!

Consider stocks like Apple or Tesla or Amazon, if you bought any of those early you did quite well until now. You also own a piece of a company that may pay dividends frequently and at some point of the company's life cycle it is less speculative and more of a safe investment compared to cryptocurrencies.

The volatility with cryptocurrencies is not what is attainable in Stock and most of the stock investors are more long term investors who have understand the company in which they are investing in and not like in crypto where people will be talking about 5 years investment, stocks are more 10 to 20 years investments and crypto is not there yet.

Don't get me wrong though, stock market is volatile too but it is pretty miniscule that it isn't even relevant in the first place. You can't attain a profit like in crypto with stocks if there isn't a lot of money involved in your stock market portfolio but you are guaranteed that it will go up over the long-term.

There is no single thing right on this post. Firstly, crypto may give you good profit, mediocre profit or, most of the times, huge losses. It is just like that, a risky business that made plenty of sense for people who invested early in bitcoin, ethereum and a few others, but for which most people are just laggards.

Historically Stocks give you 10% yearly but then have a huge drop once a decade which ruins everything all together, that is the problem. Whereas crypto has been going up super fast and it has made people more money than anything else in history ever did, more than any stock, more than the stock that went up the most in the past 10 years, it has made super a lot of money.

The question here is not "why people invest into stocks", that alone is not enough because it is left with question of "what should they do?" but when you ask "if we have CRYPTO, why people still buy stocks" which answers that one and asks why not go with crypto which has historically gained people more money than stocks ever did and instead go with something that gives 10% which is just a daily change in the crypto world nobody even cares. One of the main reason why people still buy stocks is because they have no idea how much better crypto is when it comes to investing. Another reason could be because they are confident that it may secure their future if they invest on a certain stick that they are familiar and confident with. If you own crypto, you own a proportion of the total supply of the currency. Everyone's heard of bitcoin and Cryptocurrency and many have also heard of ethereum. Since both are open sourced, you're paying for their security and immutibility solutions as well as additions that could be added to the coin. People with large stakes in a coin can adopt new technologies into the coin and, if they don't, the ecosystem is decentralised enough thst another chain should be able to take on that task and have people/companies move towards it and use it as they would bitcoin (eg the dominance of bitcoin has dropped below 50% now).

It's like saying the grocery store isn't worth anything because all of their produce comes from a farmer. An investment in a coin is an investment in its community and its devs. This is the whole reason why coins pump and why bitcoin can make 500% in a year but some random new idea coin can make 6000% in 3 months (once it's proved itself and its security).

After this bear market I won't bet against BTC price correcting and losing 70% of its value again from ATH, just look at the recent dump from $60K to $43k in days. Most listed in stock market have their own companies that are known or been identified in the country or having a business that produces somewhat a good product, thats why they are able to get listed. The risk in stock is lesser as we can easily research the companies profile beforehand without fear that they can scam us or just anfake team like many ICo created before. The factors to consider in-stock can easily traceable or research but in crypto, we need to fully put the effort into analyzing them thoroughly especially if it's a new coin.

Because stocks are less volatile and predictable then crypto. Again, stocks are well known. Almost everyone has heard of what stock markets are. There are less "negativity" when it comes to stock. People still buy stocks because they are used into it and have knowledge about it. Not all people like stock and not all people knows crypto. Every person has their own choice either they choose to buy stock or crypto or both. It's up to the knowledge that a person have. Also investing in stock is less risky than in crypto which anytime you can have losses if the market movement is against your to your plan.

I think even though many stock traders switch to cryptocurrency, there are still many traders who remain loyal to stocks. we know crypto is highly volatile, so they still consider stocks to have a lower level of risk than crypto, while many traders switch to crypto because the current crypto trend is at its peak, so many are taking advantage of it.

I stand by my words that buying a lottery ticket is different from buying a well established cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is an exit option to an existing financial system. A lottery ticket is not (neccssarily, it could be though :P).

probably the reason why people still buying stock is because that stock will remained solid entity unlike bitcoin which is virtual and from any moment they can lose their investment and vanish like the air and yes they can also make great profit out of it, but people are smart and did not put their eggs into one basket they want to maximize what they have  and secure what they invest.

Stock aren't tangible maybe there are papers that prove your shares but they aren't tangible so they aren't that different with bitcoin. I think the main reason is that there are more investment companies out there that are dabbling on stocks rather than crypto and most old people are likely to advice you to invest in stocks since they themselves don't know what crypto is.

You could literally turn everything into a gamble if you wanted to. To me gambling is about individual mindset than a specific action alone. If you are a real estate guru and short the market because you think you know what you are doing, you are actually not a gambler to me whereas if the average Joe goes short with leverage because he read the headline in a newspaper that real estate is about to face a decline in value, that might very well be gambling.
It is the same with crypto. I think the generalization "crypto" is kind of wrong. I can invest in solid Bitcoin, Ethereum or Monero or I can put money into bs coin hoping it pumps. Both is putting money into crypto while one might an investment and in the other a gamble.

Cryptocurrency is not yet as strong as the globalized market on stocks, as a large plethora of companies also rely some of their profitable side sources from their shares or proportions in the stock market. In my opinion, as someone who buys stock, investing stocks that works in the real industry much difference than just holding assets, and there are also many types of stock as example such banking, industry, etc. most people had tought stocks its long term investment with lowest risk and that is true.

There are many reasons people also invest in stocks. the stock risk has a smaller risk because it is not like crypto which has high fluctuations. on the other hand, with large capital and safety of funds many traders choose stocks to invest. and with the increasing popularity of bitcoin, many stock traders are also setting aside a small part of their capital to invest in bitcoin

many investors still don't believe in or are afraid to invest in crypto that's the reason why they choose stocks...

not all investors are willing to accept new things, and crypto is still a new thing for them, crypto is indeed profitable it's just that stock investors are more 'safe players' they don't like big risks IMO.

I believe that many people who invest in stocks simply do not believe in cryptocurrencies and consider them to be a high-risk asset. I have a friend who has not invested in cryptocurrencies because he believes that this is all a hoax and he cannot make money on them. But somehow he nevertheless decided to invest in one cryptocurrency and lost money since it was the cryptocurrency of one project, whose aldmins simply disappeared with the investors' money. This was his first and immediately unsuccessful experience and after that he decided to invest in stocks. I haven’t seen him for a long time and I don’t know how he is doing, but this is one of the cases in which very often beginners get burned by investing in cryptocurrency. I know that he just chose the wrong project with the wrong cryptocurrency, but that happened and now he will definitely no longer invest in cryptocurrencies. Here's a sad story.

People are not the same. Some people like investment with higher profit and higher risk and some people like to invest in something that common. Stocks share dividend, so with certain amount of money someone can get profit just the same with employee salary. I personally prefer like to invest in cryptocurrency because it is easier to access and probability to gain more profit is bigger.

It is true. Stocks and crypto both have risks. some are able and willing to take risks in the more volatile crypto market than the stock market, and some are not. some people are willing to try new challenges, and some are not.

I think people prefer stocks because they think that stocks are more definitely profitable for long-term investment and for the future, despite the fact that crypto is also profitable for the future. they also think that cryptocurrencies have a greater risk than stocks, they don't really care about the benefits of crypto being greater than stocks. because they don't want to take risks, and most of the people who invest in crypto in my opinion are people who like challenges, but the opposite is for people who choose stocks.

Crypto and Stocks have similarities. We want a part of the bread. The difference I see is that Crypto still has to prove something since they only depend on the market itself, while Stocks can have a stable trust due to their great image and popularity. You can invest on well reputable and trusted companies.

With great profits comes great risk and majority of the people are not risk takers. In stocks the fluctuation is low along with earning but the investor can play safe in stocks. Looking at the title, I was sure that it was posted by some noob. Threads such as this one brings down the overall quality of this section. The moderator must have moved it to "Beginners and help" section rather than keeping it in the Economics subforum. Posts such as this one doesn't make any sense and mostly result from a desire to increase post count. I have been a registered user for the last 9 years, and if the scenario provided in the post was true, then I would have been a trillionaire by now. Imagine how much I could have made with 3% daily gain.

Probably because stocks work the same way as the crypto market, they all can be manipulated. The difference is that the stock market isn't in a blockchain where they know how much is the real numbers like the max supply.

I'm sure there are traders coming from forex particularly since their brokers are the first to have offered Bitcoin trading. But my best guess is that there is no crypto user or trader who suddenly moves to the stock market.

Crypto isn't for everyone, and neither are stocks; why would you persist with stocks if you don't think they're making you money? I mean, there are various reasons why individuals invest in stocks, so if you don't have any, it's none of your business, and comparing the two makes no sense because they each have their own set of benefits in terms of profit. If a company has a good track record and history, you can be comfortable that money will come soon and without risk, and that people who don't want to take risks will invest in it.

We all have different preferences for where we put our money; some people still put their money in banks, and I don't think that's a problem.

Having an investment in both platform for me is a lot better I mean you didn't put your egg in just one basket, however both are risky and might going also to give you the probability to lose. We may not sure but I think one or many of us here in crypto community are put an investment both in stock and crypto market. People that invest their money want to diversify. Sure, you can diversify within crypto, but seeing that crypto is full of memecoins, scams, and such, people still want a maybe safer option that will yield a smaller return. I don't find it odd, crypto is honestly still in its infancy when it comes to investing.

You can't just look at one point of view. Many people out there may still not know what bitcoin is, and how it works. Maybe you already know and are experts in bitcoin so you can say it's easy. But it's not easy for people who don't know what bitcoin is at all, its good and bad effects. Big profits and it is undeniable that you can also experience big losses. That's one of the reasons why people mostly choose to buy stocks instead of crypto. Before crypto is known to us srocks have been there already so people know mucu better about stocks than crypto. Maybe years later when crypto is widely used by everyone especially those countries who ban or didn't acknowledge crypto will start to use then maybe people wil buy crypto instead of stocks.

That's not the only reason, even if you know what bitcoin is, and what is the potential you could make a profit from that, you still may not end up with the same thing over long period of time. I mean I like to diversify my portfolio so if I have a lot of money (which I don't, so I am all in crypto), I would definitely go with crypto and stocks, and even gold and other assets as well that is just how it is.

There is nothing you could make it a weird stuff, it is just business and buy as many things as you can, ALL things are assets if they have value, trading cards are assets, pokemon cards do worth something I believe, just invest in as many things as possible if you have ton of money, but when you don't (like me :D ) then just keep it at one side. Not all of the people are capable of understanding what cryptocorrency is. Some of them are simply afraid of new technology. Mass media propagates the gevernmental position and tell the TV viewers that crypto is dangerous and unpredictable. If you are told that bitcoin is dangerous on the daily basis, what will you feel about all this stuff?
Also, many people don't think about trading but investing when they come to the stock market. They want to save their money through the long period of time. Facebook stocks are more reliable than bitcoin when we talk about 20-year-period of investing horizon.
Most people are reluctant to learn anything new, so they prefer to use such financial instruments that they already know.

You are absolutely right about it, many do not trust Crypto, they think that volatility will give them a bad move, as there are many who trust in the safe, in the stocks backed with gold, oil, and the safe.

Yeah no, this isn't true at all. Crypto "investments" work off pure speculation. The only concrete numbers you generally work with are historic trends and maybe info about other currencies - meaning if you see USD beginning to tank, you might be able to make some predictions on cryptos. Financial reports on publicly traded companies are out there, the sales numbers, revenue, profit, ect. I'd argue stocks are similarly volatile to crypto, just to a lesser degree. The giant companies don't really have a problem with this, but smaller company stocks vary a lot day to day.

Majority of stock players are smart people and know the world development especially in technology and the reason they don't want to get involved in bitcoin is because they haven't studied it and don't understand it well.

People who want to take less risk usually prefer stocks they have very little idea about the market if you research the market properly it will be easier to know about crypto and you will understand that crypto is very profitable there are also many traders who think that stocks are more profitable than crypto. Everyone with different opinions. I just think the simplest answer lies between centralization and regulation. Some users are always scared of been dump one which sometimes happens in crypto most of the time.

I've noticed several times that stocks and crypto became correlated or got the same pattern during bearish days. When crypto went to bearish, the market did the same too for stocks.

I agree that for some reasons it's all about being less volatile in stocks and that's why there are traders who are watching that market closely. And they also invest in stocks that are not highly volatile.

Some people gains a lot in stocks than in crypto trading even it's not volatile than crypto. They're more convenient using it unlike in crypto that you can be doomed in just a week, but you can be a millionaire in just days too. Just a matter of risks you can intake.

I too trade local stocks and crypto but most of my fund is here in crypto while 25% or something is on stocks.

It was pretty obvious, not all are investing in crypto nor everyone is in the stock market. They have their choice and market preference, we can't force all investors to leave the stock market and vice-versa.
