The only bitcoin will be the best coin for long-term investment. The other coin is an altcoin and for me, that will give the profit in the short term. But you can use it for long-term investment but you need to be careful because the price can go down anytime following bitcoin price. Ethereum, bnb, dot, litecoin, matic can be the other coins for the investment but as I said before, the price will follow bitcoin price so there will be a downtrend for the altcoin and you need to prepare for that.

maybe you could add solana and wootrade in your list, i think you miss these project meanwhile alot investors start filling their bag. from list above , coins that must collected in my bag were bitcoin , ethereum , bnb and then i will add solana and wootrade. i am believe due their technology in smart contract will get more investors if market recovered again. And another hidden gem in NFT project was VulcanForged, its could be the MMPOG pioner in crypto market.

I'm more comfortable investing in Bitcoin and ethereum for long term because they've been around for a longer duration in the industry and they hold a significant percentage of the coin market capitalisation. I doubt one could ever go wrong with Bitcoin because no matter the dip, bitcoin always come back greater.

As for the moment, ETH and BNB would be enough and you won't need to hodl anything else because of the current bearish trend. BNB has its own unique strategy when there is some kind of unlikable situation on the market. They can still make their own new development and overcome the others with their innovative approached industry of the crypto. However, You also need to give yourself some time to think about whether there will be another chance for them to be successful this time like they did last year. Sometimes when a bearish market is currently happening you will see most of the cryptocurrencies have fallen their prices and that's because everybody is panicking and they just randomly sold their coins without a second thought.

I kinda agree with you, Ethereum and BNB are best to pick for holding. Others like Polkadot, Solana are too young and they will become real big cryptocurrencies next 4 years if their teams can keep their projects moving through a next big bear market.

Definitely it's BTC, though there are crypto whose goal is for long term development or it can benefit in the future. However due to markets volatile some crypto wasn't able to survive the competition among different projects and only those who are already exist along with btc like eth can be trusted for long term. At this point I think it's a bit dangerous to think about altcoins being good long run investments, because they are becoming too similar when compared to their pairs... Ethereum had the advantage of running its own network, making possible for many developers to create their own projects on this network. However, new networks are being developed as well, like Binance one which also work on its own, so Ethereum doesn't have the same status it had before. On the other hand, nothing threats bitcoin. That is why it's definitely the best investment option.

Hold it all and exit when the market peaks. Buy lots of Bitcoins and altcoins in turn. Maybe next year we will face a bear market so stay calm and act right. I used to believe the market would go up forever but that was wrong and I lost most of my money in the bear market.

You have mentioned all my favorite altcoins in your list. I have invested all my money in some coins from your list, which are Ethereum, Cardano(ADA), Polygon(Matic), and Trx. I suggest you add ARPA to your list because it is also a strong project and will increase in the future. I have investd in it for long term.

Just throwing down that market will face bear trend isn't gonna just do.

There's no such market that always go up, what seems to be good for year will surely go down as well in time just like what happened on Real Estate they are on a bubble before and not we see its huge decline. This market is very volatile, you should always know when to buy and sell. I do agree on some coins on the list of OP, they are indeed good for long term investment, but I do suggest to have a target price always and know how to take profit.

I'll be checking out Solana. I'm hearing good things about it but I'm not yet convinced. I have to do my own research but I'm aware that it's also starting to gain attention as it does good and could have the potential that we're looking at. But overall, the cryptos that have been mentioned, the most that everyone must take their money with is bitcoin. For those who have been following the ETH prices for the last few months, it is very difficult to make the investment now. Back in 2020, Ethereum was trading at a range of BTC0.016-BTC0.018. The prices have increased by 3-4 times since then. I am someone who thought that the rates back in 2020 was on the higher side (I was even considering to convert some of my ETH to BTC). II don't recommend any altcoins for every investor because investment is always different. Ethereum and Binance coins are top altcoins, there must not involve low investment. Top altcoins pumps are always low in a short time. Long time also could be good, but those cases are rare, like Binance or Kusama.

Before ETH did it, no other coin (as far as I can remember) got used so much for its blockchain, there are thousands of tokens created based on ethereum blockchain, just look at how much erc20 is used and you will see it. for long term invesment , personally its more suitable for hidden gem. top 10 coinmarket already have good usecase that been released in market now and builded ecosystem. technically in price it would not give us profit not more 5x in, and maybe hidden gem more suitable for it. we have alot potency to see price growth due its developtment progress.

2 - ADA

because in my opinion the prices of these two altcoins have not increased much

I like the list but some coins like Litecoin are really old and I don't see much value for investors in such coins because these coins are sort of saturated, the price doesn't change much and there is nothing really happening behind the project that adds any sort of value either.

Polygon is rated very high by many investors and I have not heard foul about the project from anyone although I haven't done any deep research on it yet so not sure about the future of the coin but if word of mouth is anything to go by, it seems pretty solid.

Ripple is slowly dying why do you think its worth investing in? It has no advantages over the other altcoins in the top 100. Ethereum and Bitcoin are the only ones which are worth investing in and you are better off investing in Bitcoin than ethereum.

Don't really know why Litecoin is on that list but still man LTC has no smart contract yet and basically just act like all other alts and bond to have congestion issue so I don't see the need compared to other coins like Cardano DOT or ETH with crazy devs and higher competitor to each other

The three coins I mentioned also have their own blockchain which supports tokens to be under them. And most of them has great potential which are yet to be unleashed. Trx is a great coin with good future, it's current price is not worth the value of that blockchain, in times to come tron will do wonders and turns those who have been accumulating it little by little very rich just like doge, but it will be way more than that. Same goes with Cardano and that of Bsc.

To be sure Bitcoin and Ethereum are very good for long-term investments. Apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum, coins like Binance Coin, Polkadot, Cardano and Polygon are also good for long-term investment coins. If i were to choose from the cryptocurrencies listed here, i would choose
1. BNB (because Is the closest to ETH in terms of market capitalization and blockchain algorithm)

You are correct because now matic network is the most important Coin In the cryptocurrencies market cap. Most of the cryptocurrencies project are launching on matic network platform due to the lower transactions fees. 

If you are looking for safe and long term investment, I recommend you stick on the well-established altcoins and has been around in the business for several years already. Very good examples are ETH, LTC, XRP, ADA - my portfolio is packed with these coins. I am also keeping a fair amount of Stakenet's XSN in my bag. Looking at the list of the coins you mentioned, including the BTC which has been around for almost a decade now. These are good coins which has to potential to give you a good return on your investment when leave for a very long time. But I will like to add one coin to the list which has been doing great lately. Binance coin BNB, when you look at the rate at which the price is going. You will agree with me that it is a sure coin to invest on. Back dating to this time last year, the price is below 25$. And looking at the price now. It is trading above 350$.

BTC should be the primary coin for investment in crypto. Its also good to build a diversified portfolio with BTC having majority share while remaining share be given to top alt coin of CMC like ETH, LTC, Monero etc.

Since the OP made this post in June, I think you missed the other top 100 coins, besides the list above, I have a list of coins like Heco,Fusion and AVAX, each blochain offers low fee transactions, and still a few new projects which uses the blockchain network from the list above, I hope there will be a price increase after many new projects use the three blockchains above, but still DYOR because new investors always look for high priced coins without seeing some new projects that have the potential to increase their prices in the future .

I guess it really depends on what your risk tolerance is. ETH and BTC would be the top two if you just want to dollar cost average in over time and continue to build a position. If you are more speculative I would follow some of the larger projects that have some institutional backing behind them. I knew the answer to this question ever since I made my first investment 4.5 years ago - Bitcoin. Simply, I can't find a currency that looks attractive at current levels. Cardano, Solana, BNB.etc are backed up with good technology, but they looks overpriced. Then we have coins like Litecoin and BCH that are priced at more affordable levels, but to be frank I don't see any future potential with these coins. One coin that I would never consider is Ethereum. Too overpriced and the ETH 2.0 rollout turned out to be a big flop.

Although BNB is still operating as you can see now, but in general BNB is also no less good to invest in the long term because until now there are still many BNB users and the BSC network so there are still better opportunities and potential for BNB for the future

Old question but i will answer it base on my opinion. Crypto currency that is best for a long term investment for Bitcoin and ethereum. In the past few years they still in top on all the altcoin in the market thats why no doubt that this two crypto coins is the best investment for long term holding. Every year they make a history of their price pumping and see whats their price now thousand dollars that other cant afford to have one.

Tron is a great choice for the long term of the choices you provide. Tron also has a large community. advanced technology, and incredible transaction speed. And also the usual very cheap transactions.

If Tron is so cool, why not so many projects are made on it? Perhaps there are some underwater stones in Tron? I personally find it a bit complicated to use. I always forgot about bandwidth and energy. Few times I was in situation, when I need to make a transaction, but I have ran out of energy.

Tell me please last things Tron made or upgraded in their blockchain technology? Or what they plan to do. Because that would impact on a future price growth. I bet you cant name anything. That is why Tron will follow market directions, and not make a huge grow by itself. Doubtful investment imho.

There are currently over 12k coin options and I'm sure many will die from not being able to compete. For long-term investment then I only choose coins that already have a market cap of more than $10 billion, some of the coins I recommend are Solana, TRON, Polkadot and Uniswap.
