Title: New Online Bitcoin Treasure Hunt - Live
Post by: BTCINVESTOR on July 02, 2021, 05:39:01 PM
There is 1 whole bitcoin up for grabs in this educational series.

My guess is someone on here will be best capable of finding the hidden private key.

The first 4 digits of the private key are in the bottom right hand corner of this first video, right at the very end of it. It pops up for a brief second or so...

Looks like the hint was really there but I guess it need more tweaks and it's really tricky. This is just one out of the ten series of video to really find the private key of this hunt and 1 whole Bitcoin isn't a small reward. That hint is still visible though even the video ended. Good luck to the treasure hunters!

This shit is hard man, I know the hint is there to find the private key but then one needs to be extra smart not to fall for the trick.

Can that be verified as being a true beginning to a private key?

The video is well-made, but why are the comments off? It just feels a little suspicious to me, as if people were pointing something out, so they're being censored. I'm not saying this is the case, it's just the vibe I'm getting. Another vibe I don't like is the presumed superiority of whoever's doing the videos. Like this guy figured out everything and will share his wisdom. Even though I like some of the ideas I'm hearing, I don't like this condescending tone.
Also, if you're giving away some BTC, it would be good to prove it somehow, I'm sure it'll attract more people.

Very smart way to teach people with educational videos and reward them with one BTC, and I think they are probably sharing parts of private keys that is split into ten videos, but it could also be just coded message and first step for generating private key.

I miss this kind of Puzzle and they were popular back then to push the popularity of Bitcoin where people needs to study there to join the game. That's just how it works cause the price is something you can't turn away from. especially those who are living in the 3rd world countries where thousands of dollars are millions for them. Of course, this is not an easy task since the prize is quite huge. The game is pretty hard to and if it was on the forum, users will demand an escrow so that there won't be wasted if it turns out to be a prank.

Just make sure you are aware of the risk - that there is no 'treasure' at all as there is no way to verify its existence until solved so you have to put a certain amount of trust. I personally would prefer if the host has a track record for this which they have paid and/or there is a signed message of the money pot address from them...

This is why it's important to know when to stop, it's either not for you or it's all a sham.

This looks very interesting yet very hard to trust. Maybe the youtuber is just trying to rake in a lot of views. Also, like suggested in comments above would be useful if the youtuber can let us know the public address and then sign a message so as to let us know that they are the real owners right now and actually hold the funds.

I don’t even bother trying to crack these private key puzzles. They’re far beyond my tech capability. Hopefully somebody can find it though, good luck to anybody here who attempts it.

Imagine if you are sane enough to give away one BTC, what more can you give the crypto community. He is very lucky whoever solves that puzzle. Anyway, those who have crypto and were able to earn so so much without investing would probably be able to give back to the community. If in case all you folks were able to get your millions in crypto then by all means you have to share your blessings with the cryptocurrency community.

The following part caught my attention while I was reading through the description part of the video in question:

Quote
"I am the only human alive that knows the bitcoin private key hidden in this video series. I will take the secret to my grave if I have to."         J.R. Forsyth

  • That name looked familiar to me, so I did some digging and I was right!
    • Alitin Mint Adam Smith Coins compromised! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1814828.0)

I have contacted Richard Forsyth and JR Forsyth and await a response.

    • Alitin Mint Adam Smith 2BTC coins compromised (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1814916.0)

UPDATE #1:  I have contacted and talked over the phone with JR and Richard Forsyth over email and they have personally guaranteed me the funds on my coin (coin value only).

    • Alitin Mint Coin Breach (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1815933.0) [by @RichardForsyth]

From what I've read so far, they refunded [coin value] those that approached them, but despite that, I'm not sure if I could trust his ability for keeping that private key safe [perhaps it's just me but good luck to anyone that would try solving it].
