Post by: ectbit on July 22, 2021, 02:33:12 PM

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

I don't really count in percentages, but my current portfolio is worth around 20k. That's almost 6 months of my salary. I don't have much capital to invest in crypto, because basically crypto is not my main choice to earn money. This investment is like emergency storage in case of need. for now i only hold btc, eth and some other big coins in my portfolio.

I don't think it matters but for the sake for the thread, I'll reveal mine. I have around 90% on crypto but right now it's way on the stablecoins, still waiting on what the crypto will plays out in the coming weeks or months. Crypto itself is some kind of bank in a sense.

20k in dollars? I'm pretty sure that is still a huge capital of it's in dollars. But on the crypto you hold right now how much is it in total?

All of mine small capital is in crypto. But it's just around 3k now. 70% of it is in BTC, 20% in ETH and the rest in LTC.

I have 90% in crypto and the rest in the fiat money. I have been making bunch of profit from the crypto and i don't care anymore when i got lost with my current portfolios but so far so good.
I would like always to take the risk in the crypto. I lost a lot caused by selling my portfolios too early just like hex.

Seems you are one of those who believe that fiat is a bubble? I'm with you man keeping fiat won't do anything and keeping crypto has everything than fiat, all I can say is always have something to fall back on, in future no one knows what the fate of crypto and blockchain will be

actually, I separate my finances for savings in the bank or my needs and crypto trading and investing.
but if accumulated around 60% in the real world and 40% crypto.
however, I earn money not only from long-term investment. but from short-term trades that give daily profits.
but what is clear is my first capital and I have never subtracted or added it to $3k. I will withdraw the profits to the bank. if there is a loss from the trade I will not add to it. and it's been going on for two years. remember the profit I will withdraw to the bank. while the capital will continue to rotate in investment and trade.

I never try to put lots of percentages in my crypto portfolio and i were always putting 50% as the maximum amount to be allocated in the cryptocurrency and keep the rest into the stable coin to be used as the reserve funds to buy the dip.
The up and down in the market must be prevented with the reserved funds. Sometime i were getting loses and then i must also put reserve funds to buy the bottom.

I have about 60% in crypto and rest 40% is for backup incase something goes wrong (although am not hoping for such) bit it is always good to have a plan B, as much as it is easy to gain alot in crypto so it is equally very easy to lose, it will be foolish to put everything in without having a backup plan. This amount is good enough,  it is not too risky or too little imo.

Most likely majority of mine is on the crypto, just a small percentage on stock. Just wondering though why your 60% is on the banks? you should have put it on crypto.

Nevertheless, we are all difference, just a matter of preferences. I even heard some people here going 100% on crypto, so they don't have money in the banks and will withdraw their crypto monthly to pay their bills.

Until now I have never calculated how much my total capital is in cryptocurrencies, either because I don't want to know how much of my capital has been spent or maybe I never thought about it.

In my opinion, what you are doing is the right step in the world of cryptocurrency, meaning that every expense and income must be recorded to be calculated every year, otherwise we will never know the extent of our success in the cryptocurrency world.

We often see this pattern in the world of accounting, offices and similar businesses, every income and expenditure is always recorded neatly for them and at the end of the year all reports will be accounted for, both to the leadership and business owners.

I think we need to apply this pattern in the cryptocurrency world, today after I saw your post, maybe I can take part in implementing this pattern, which I never thought about how much capital I have in the cryptocurrency world.

I have never calculated in percentages like this because as long as I can still store my assets in crypto I will do it regardless of how much the nominal is and how big or small it doesn't matter as long as the money is not used for needs in everyday life I will definitely save it in crypto.
and for the nominal balance, I don't think it's ethical to mention it in the forum because it belongs to someone's privacy. What I want to emphasize is that no matter how much money you have here, be careful in your actions, besides that I suggest if we have more money and there is still no urgent need I recommend saving it here because the future prospects for old age are very good

You better think about something else, how much money you lose each year. If inflation in different countries is from 1 to 10%, then this is not all the loss. Fiat money is constantly depreciating due to the quantitative easing policy every year there are more and more fiat money. In total, fiat money loses in its value from 10 to 25% per year, depending on the income of the citizen.
Not one bank compensates for this, and cryptocurrencies are growing in value every year.

I would get lesser than that actually. I never done stock trading just yet, but from the 80/20 strategy when it comes to that 20%. I usually just go 5% from that into crypto since I am not that a full-time trader and I quit my day trading strategy back in the days already.

to be honest, it's not much, but to meet my personal needs it's more than enough because pushing to get big results with minimal capital like me is still very far away. considering some skills need to be qualified in it. I think to continue to do the prospect of how in the future so that finances can be managed as well as possible. during this pandemic, I am still in good condition for economic matters. we just need to be grateful, nominal for me is not the main thing.

I don't know, others will believe it or not. But almost 70% capital is in my crypto portfolio, 25% in cash and 5% in bank. Nowadays, i'm investing into crypto whatever i earned from crypto space throughout my works or services towards projects. Also, 20% from all crypto capitals are into dapp and really happy to use dapp. Rest of the crypto capitals are invested into many coins+tokens for long term purposes.  :D

Yes, I strongly support that, but in crypto market assets there is no view towards large or small capital, because crypto market assets are a digital market that promises future investments, and to invest, it is enough to play slowly or not. must be large capital.
and if we have large capital, it is better or more profitable, and likewise with small capital, the income will be small.

Inflation in most developed countries is under 2% every year.

I don't keep most of my money in bank accounts because i don't believe in crypto. I just want to increase my crypto percentage gradually.
Three years ago i had only 3% of my capital, now is at 15%. Maybe next year it will rise to 20%

that is very huge allocation dude, didn't it pretty dangerous if you need money for urgents need but it is not enough to filled. 75% will be great and less risk if you put in major coins such as bitcoin ethereum or bnb for long term investment at least 4 years cycle. You will got alot if could hold for this periode.

That case sitting on the bank will be lessening its value due to inflation. While the bank, they'll be the ones taking advantage of it and earning from your money through loaning people.

My portfolio in crypto more than what I've got in the bank. Well, I guess my money in the bank is just around 5% of my total crypto portfolio and it's just for the liquidity of my cash to have something to spend on.

Well, it doesn't matter how much capital you have invested, what most important is you already know your capacity and never feel regrets if that money will lose in your control.

Let's say, I invest half of my hard work earning for crypto. Maybe it was huge and risky but that is because I trusted Bitcoin and have some confidence that I could manage my fund carefully, that be fined. What I want to emphasize is that we have to manage our funds wisely and it was better to spread it into 2-3 investments for security assurance that we still have a chance to recover if ever the other investment will fail.

Im all in crypto and only hodl around 2% of my portfolio in stable coin like DAI and USDT.

Never try to think to convert it to the fiat or stable coin. It was caused by my plan to make it become million dollars in the next years. I have been making a half of million dollars only from hex.

It seems like that a lot of players were also doing the same thing as me too.

I start nothing in cryptocurrency, and gained profits when i have my first cryptocurrency that i received in an airdrop. That is when i start have capital to invest approximately about 50% from my first profit when converted to fiat its $100, and the other half of it i saved in my wallet. For now i am still investing to different coins in the market that i think i will gain enough profits.

Usually not counting it, i always using my free money to place it in crypto and it's been almost one year never cash it out to fiat. Maybe it's around 20-30% from my total wealth and i'm sure it's the best way to invest in crypto to not always counting our portofolio, but it's also important when we needed it

I have different mind set, I pulled out my money in my bank accounts and had it invested in cryptocurrency. Am not actually regretting it as it grew and made me enjoy the fruit of my profits many times in crypto. I'm still planning to also put some money in stock market, but I have 40% on hand cash lets say 60% for cryptocurrency.

if you have started long enough in the crypto market. I guess to keep your capital, keep growing with short-term trading and investing. I believe the current market conditions will be favorable for trading.
but my advice is to develop your capital in crypto first. because you yourself still have a large enough percentage in your bank. but don't put money in your bank into crypto. it increases your crypto capital incorrectly. because you already have capital in the crypto market then that's what you have to develop.
I myself started with 25% of the money I had. from the trading profits and bounties I have accumulated now my capital has grown to 60% in the crypto market and the rest is in the bank.

Not a lot of people look at it that way. You are checking the current percentage of your portfolio on where it is invested. Sometimes, they go all in and regret it later. With this method, you know how much you are risking and what necessary stuff you need to change if the market is not in your favor.

I don't include my crypto holdings as part of my portfolio. In that way, I separate this into various aspects of my financial capability. I take note of the amount that I get, and I convert into fiat, and that's where it comes in. Most of it is still in crypto. I guess it's not the best way, but that's just how I do it.

yep i used to count my money every time when i invested through crypto currency and as the matter of fact even my daily expenses i always count it just to monitor everything. And as of now i will focus in crypto and  i have only 10% in it, yes not that much because it's very skeptical on this situation to put a big percentage, Maybe soon when it really show a good improvement. Same here I didn't have any accounting for my money from the very beginning maybe I'm not a very organized person. The money is only meant for my family's spending which I rarely have extra for investment. The money earned from an offline job is directly kept in our moneybox which only my kid and I can open.

If I didn't work here and learned to invest and trade, I wouldn't be able to hold some BTC in my wallet but all the coins I have are what I earned from signatures. It's very little but I'm happy to have 25% is on crypto but put in USD it would be too little.

Actually this is not very important for us to discuss, but in this case we have different deposits in storing our assets both in the crypto world and in bank accounts, and as long as I play in the world of crypto assets that are still stored for now about 80% of the capital that I have, but in the future it could increase or decrease it all depending on the state of the market in the future.

Because I still use FIAT for business, the percentage of money in the bank + money in the wallet is 65%. While the remaining 35% is in the form of cryptocurrencies in various wallets, the largest part is in exchange wallets, because I am always in the order book :)
Even though the percentage is not balanced, the amount of money I earn from business and from cryptocurrency every month is balanced 50:50.

crypto is more important between the three places where you diversify your money .
you should alocate more money in it  . its  safe because you have an option to carry your private keys in some wallet but banks cannot do that and if theres something bad happen in your bank you can loose all your money.
its also profitable because more people are now investing into cryptos and they are less scared now so less price drops that we can experience.

Everyone has their money diary and keeps counting the capital in each investment, your case is different from mine, if you keep 60% of money in savings, I invest 60%, the rest I play in stock market and crypto

Indeed, everyone has a different pattern of financial arrangements, meaning that there are many ways to use money to make a profit, both investing and saving. I personally prefer to invest than save, if the money we save can't produce anything.

While investment provides an opportunity for us to make a profit, depending on the pattern and how we invest correctly, investment usually has ups and downs, there are times when we make big profits and some lose, but investing requires a good pattern to avoid the risk of loss.

When we are not able to minimize this risk properly, then our investment is wrong and the pattern needs to be corrected, I have learned a lot from friends in investing where they are already successful now.

I have never calculated the percentages but my majority of the funds are in cryptos because I know this market can give me a good return as compared to the banks. I know it's risky too but I took the risk, on the other hand, I save some money in the bank in case of emergency and I can withdraw money to the bank whenever I need it urgently as my exchanger pays me instantly to my bank Ac but I won't advise to anyone to invest most of the funds in cryptos.

If you save 60% of your capital in your account, what if you use it to buy 40% coins.
So far, I do not have capital in crypto like you. I really hope to have big capital. So, I don't know how to answer how much my capital is in crypto.

My investment is 100% in cryptocurrency. The money in the bank is not too much because it is only to meet daily needs. I think I made a too speculative decision to invest 100% in crypto, but I also have faith that crypto is the investment of the future
I did same too by investing 100% of all my capital in cryptocurrency with just a meager money in my bank account I only exchange to fiat directly to my bank account using P2P I don't believe in putting all my savings in a bank, its better to hodl my crypto in my wallet than to saving it in a bank despite the fact that crypto always experience dump in it prices however when the market enters a bullish runs the profits earned will outweigh the interest that is accrue-able when saved in bank because I also have a firm belief that crypto investment guarantees a better future this is based on huge amount of profits earnable in a long run perspective when all assets doubled or tripled or more, many crypto investors had became millionaires based on their perseverance and belief on their decsion to stick with cryptos.

I have maybe 99% on crypto 1% in bank account, i dont think its good to put your money in bank account unless you have a businesses or planning to open one in near future. I do put a lot in one coin which i think have a huge potential that will help me to fullfill my life in future. I do think you should put more into investments , and also you might be consider any other instruments like bonds or lands. 60% is really big percentages and so useless if you only put it in the bank.

In my case the percentage of my capital in crypto was always quite low like maximum 5% or so, but we started to remodel our house a few months ago and my FIAT savings are now melting away like a small ice cube in the Sahara desert, because everything is just so ridiculously expensive here in Germany :-X. Also even though my crypto portfolio went down more then 90% since the beginning of may i am still in the profit zone and at the moment i would guess that the percentage of my capital in crypto is at the moment around 25%, if you only look at FIAT and crypto and take no real estate into account. The amounts i invested into crypto are relatively small though.

If I am not wrong my cryptocurrency portfolio keep increasing and it is over 50% now and I am not a person who keeps as money so either I love to buy gold coins or the cryptos especially bitcoin.

I am not that much good at stock because it looks like too much effort for very less returns so all my concentration is in bitcoin for very long time.

I have just 2% hanging in my savings because I don't want to risk it been close. My fear is that, I have used it to conduct many Cryptocurrency transactions and presently, bank transactions that involve crypto are been suspended.
My entire fund is in crypto, BUSD particularly. My prayer, I pray and hope nothing happens to Binance in future otherwise I will be doom and have to start a fresh.
It's been a smooth ride giving all to crypto though.

When I entered the crypto market, I had 70% in my bank accounts and 30% on crypto. It might look like I was scared and doubting but crypto at that time is not yet as promising as it is right now. Even though I only had few invested in crypto, as it grows over the years, I didn't sell most of it and let it grow on hold. As of now, the savings in my bank account was left behind with my investments in crypto. Even though the market does not look so good right now, I am still holding on to my faith that it will soon recover as well as the money I am losing as the price keeps on going down.

The concentration that you have applied is an extraordinary job too because Bitcoin and Gold are still very valuable in the future and no one has even been able to match them until now, so continue your strategy as long as it is still really profitable.
Yes, I am going to be! Old school people are always going behind the old techniques which doesn't mean they are going to be right all the time. Just built the new empire from the new investment ideas or atleast live our life with enough money and don't get trapped into the inflation bubble.

that is very huge allocation dude, didn't it pretty dangerous if you need money for urgents need but it is not enough to filled.

Actually, it's not that much dangerous when you're having passive income from dapp. Just like i said earlier, i'm using/playing dapp a lot and having funs on those while getting passive income. That's why i don't have any kind of problem. But it could be a huge problem for me if i just invested those capitals only into coins/tokens for short term profits. Also, i can cover/solve any urgent issues from my cash amount which is enough for me.  :D

Percentage wise I'm not entirely sure as I don't go checking any savings / superannuation accounts more than once or twice per year, but just to give you an idea of the crypto, I've been stockpiling the payments from the Signature Campaigns that I've participated in over the last 18 - 24 months.

I used to work in the stock market first, but now I am completely focused on the crypto market, so all my capital is here. Of course I have a diversification but within the framework of this market. I mean most of the money is held in fundamental currencies, some money is invested in altcoins, a big part is in defi projects like pancakeswap, and of course some money is in stablecoins. Proportion of stablecoins is increasing now, as I want to use them when the price of Bitcoin gets lower.

I've never really sat down to do this calculations, but what I do know is that if I were to, am sure I have more than 90 percent of my money in crypto because crypto is my business and my major only  source of income currently, so the money i currently spend everyday are money I made from crypto, I plan to withdraw some of my money in crypto to invest in some other sectors but I've not really made up my mind on this as I've gotten very familiar with crypto that I sometimes fear I might not do very well in this other sectors if I put money in them.

Now I think we should invest at least 5-10 percent of our portfolio. If OP is asking me, I did only 20 percent. I read so many posts then I realized that we couldn't have another opportunity to invest before the next bull run. Some investment whole investment is in the centralized exchange that I wouldn't support. Big investments should be withdrawn to decentralized wallet. I know so many profitable coins even though I haven't been interested in increasing more than 30-35 percent of my portfolio.

It's different for the time period, but it could be 30 percent at the moment.
Crypto in general is growing pretty quickly. But now it's more challenging because we don't know in which direction the price will go in the short term. I haven't liquidated anything yet, but if the price drops even further, I will probably increase my crypto positions.

I was just to start investing when I prove that Bitcoin is legit that was 3 years ago after the 2017 Bullrun. It was just 10% during that time since I was not only investing in crypto alone but also in the stock market where the majority of my saving is there. But for now, I left the stock market and transferred all the money into crypto where if I calculate it was more almost 60%. But that was enough, the risk is too high, however, I have trust in the crypto market and I believe that I could be making a good profit here.

Right now I only got $200 in binance since the last time I decided to hodle after I bought my coins at nearly $800, but I failed to sell all of them because I choose to do long long term holdings. However, that doesn't stressed me out despite of seeing them losing value after bitcoin fall back so bad. Motivation was my only strong hold in order to overcome all those frustrations I got.

80% of your assets is a quite big percentage to invest. Did you do it without early calculation/plan for any worst case before investing 80% of your assets? Whether to let it or cut a loss, no other people knows what would be the best for you as we do not know on which coin you invest and we do not know about your real situation (economically).

you are very good at diversifying your business, we know that in cryptocurrency, it has a high risk, so you are more likely to invest in real businesses, that way even if crypto prices fall, you will not have trouble making ends meet. The forex business is actually also good, but we must have sufficient knowledge, especially with the leverage system, the biggest risk can quickly occur margin call

For me I only use extra money for investing and it's 30% from my salary, After that i split again with 35% bank saving, 20% Scalp trade (Crypto), 20% Staking/Farming (For now DeFi, CAKE, PSWAP, AZUKI), 15% Stocks market (Mainly Local Stocks on my country), 10% try some investing on Some IDO,ICO,IEO,STO (The last one is AIOZ and that was give me really high ROI!)

I have about 60% of my capital in the bank and about 10% in cryptocurrency. Then the rest goes to other investments such as bonds and stocks. I also try to hold currencies that are different from country’s currency, as a way to hedge against our currency when it’s getting bad. I hold a little portion as USD. It’s always good to diversify and keep proper records. It’s really helpful and you’re going to be benefiting from it. The ten percent I have in cryptocurrency is a good amount actually, and I’m okay with it. I can’t go all in cryptocurrency, knowing very well that it is a volatile asset.

The more we trade the more commissions and useless trading decisions will happen from my experience. I allocated around 30 percent of life savings in crypto portfolio, the more market goes down I add more depending on the predictions. Markets can stay in bear trend long term, so better to invest with caution.  As explained, better safe than sorry in volatile crypto trading world.

He probably made a decent run on the last bull market and now time to get another good profit if the bull market arrives towards the end of the current year. Regarding the additional income, it is also possible with staking on the altcoins while some guys prefer to trade on the daily basis for boosting their crypto portfolio.

Making it 50% sounds good and putting 30% in altcoins also sounds good IMHO. But if that's what you like and you see that it's profitable to have that portion in your total investments in crypto, I hope that you always prioritize to make profit.

As for 20% in the bank, well we need some liquidity and cash.

This happens to me whenever I only want to allocate what is left to my salary. The tendency is I gave more in trading than budgeting in our daily needs. We must know when to sell to have some findings in some investment or project that seems to be more working fine than in what we hold. Decision-making is needed.

Short answer: too much of my capital! :P

Long answer: Everyday new opportunities pop up and it is hard to hold back and stick to the plan. Indeed you don't want to miss out on anything, all the DeFi stuff, the standard coins, the news you read and the papers you study. I probably have too much in crypto, but it is quite well spread out over all different types of coins, including a few gambles with a small part of my portfolio.

As far as I am concerned,  you are still  fiat oriented person and your position towards  cryptocurrency  is on the fence.  I have  ninety percent of my capital in cryptocurrency,  five percent in insurance and another five percent in cash for the daily expenses and running of the family. I do not trust in fiat because  it's been eroded by inflation.  I believe cryptocurrency is digital gold and your capital is in a better place in cryptocurrency than any fiat!

yeah, that's what actually happened I guess. capital will continue to experience growth when we enter the crypto market.
when you enter with $50 then it will continue to grow with some time. it could be $500 or more. but we won't notice.

I have 50% in Bank account, 30% in Socks and only 20% in crypto. I earn interest on my Bank account , Dividends and capital appreciation of stocks and in crypto sometimes I  make unbelievable profit like it happened in 2020 which was more than 200% but I believe it will not happen always, it happens once in every four year when we look at the history of Bitcoin Market.

Personally I only have a small capital in crypto and I have never calculated the percentage. What is certain is that I have coins from several projects that I participated in from the bounty campaign and I still hold them, hoping the price can go up. I think investing in crypto is profitable so right now I'm more focused on investing in crypto. Although the crypto market is currently going up and down but I believe the price will rise again. Yes it definitely happens, we just need to be patient. I am also always careful in managing my assets so that I do not experience big losses. Currently I am still learning to observe and analyze the market so that I can store my assets properly and sell them at the right time. I hope I can get profit with my small capital.

All of my capital is in crypto, I am not considering anything else. In the future for me I am planning on making a basket with other stuff, but that is when I get a lot more money, my guess is that dollar-euro-gold-bitcoin-ethereum-bnb is a good 6 piece basket that will help me in the long run and I will be doing fine.

Dollar and euro is a good investment for me because my own nations fiat is weaker against those and whenever something happens it goes even worse, like during pandemic dollar got weaker but our fiat got even weaker than that so dollar was more valuable than before pandemic. However I believe there is a long way before that, I believe that I should wait it out with full crypto for now until I have a decent amount of money, its going to take a while but I am sure its going to happen not so distant future from now, probably max 10 years.

All my assets are in cryptocurrency, but I invest in different tokens. Of course, I will also reserve some stable coins such as usdt for emergencies. My investment ratio is roughly like this, 50% of stablecoins are used for liquidity mining. 30% is used to buy Bitcoin and eth. The remaining 20% come to find new projects ;D

it all really depends on what you analyze and choose.
Big capital also comes with a big risk. but can get great benefits too.

myself for any new project with a market potential of either $50-$100. but for potential projects that have been on the market for quite a long time and have big trades. Of course, any amount will not feel heavy.

I have not calculated yet, but I think my 22-25% of total capital will be in crypto. I believe we should invest that money in crypto which we can lose without any worry(afford to lose). Most people sell their houses, cars or other things to invest in crypto. I think this is wrong, because crypto is fully risky, Everything can happen in crypto market. Look at BTC it has hit 39K in only 5-6 hours, because of Amazon news. No one excepted of this pump. So I think  we should always be ready for any moment.

Fiat is so messed up and things are getting costly in my country everyday, if you keep fiat in the bank the value will keep dropping, USD seem to be the best choice to keep my money so 80% of my money are into stable coins right now, that's after taking all profits from BTC and other coins I was holding combined
Your strategy is amazing, because you have been able to properly safeguard the assets you already have, and I myself also keep some of my assets in stablecoins because that is the only thing I can do to save my assets now.
This is a good strategy if you're not a risk taker, but considering BTC market right now perhaps it is not a bad idea to be converting some of that stablecoins into BTC, while keeping the rest as it is.

I'm only saying this because 1) it provides you with some diversification, and 2) you can still benefit from the expected rise in BTC.

Remember there's no point in holding your money if you're not put it to work!

Good allocation imho or i would say because going all in with crypto is never been a brilliant idea and we are  almost the same in allocation of over all money and assets which are mainly focus on bigger percentage
which are stored in banks.

Yes,i might not sounding a full supporter of crypto but due to security or assurance then i cant really blame up myself on to stick still with fiat but somehow i did really consider on allocating some considerable
percentage.

Diversify while you can because nothing beats out if you do have lots of sources of income for you to sustain no matter what.

sometimes 100% of my capital is played in crypto, and when I get profit I withdraw the profit and use it as cash for shopping, I don't invest in stocks because 100% of capital is in crypto

I think most people are faced with this.
In any case, I am for sure.
99% of my current funds are in cryptocurrency due to the fact that at the moment I see too many financial opportunities and wait for the time when I can take profit.
Then the 1% of your total is in plain cash?

You're right that most probably have the same situation and invested majority in crypto. But to mind you guys, you have to diversify into other investments but it's your choice if you like it into another altcoin.

Although it's better if you'll be putting that in other investment instruments like real estate, gold or any other that's not in the form of crypto.

crypto is more important between the three places where you diversify your money .
you should alocate more money in it  . its  safe because you have an option to carry your private keys in some wallet but banks cannot do that and if theres something bad happen in your bank you can loose all your money.
its also profitable because more people are now investing into cryptos and they are less scared now so less price drops that we can experience.

It is very unexpected if you risk 99% crypto assets of the total assets you own, although you can withdraw crypto assets at any time but at least you need 20% for cash due to pandemic conditions in some countries then you have to hold assets partially in cash or gold.

Depends on your way of living.

If you're just a single person and you don't have a need to think of that much provision then 1% would really be enough for you to survive with your cash in the bank.

And owning 99% of assets in crypto, it's a high risk, high reward strategy.

well, seeing you dare to take that decision, I think you have really prepared carefully and anticipated all the risks including preparing the best security.
Lately I've heard quite a lot of news from friends, some have lost a lot of funds in crypto due to immature and in a hurry preparations, want instant profits, yes ... because they were carried away by the hype some time ago. This is a big lesson, even though there is a big opportunity and fast profit in crypto, but the risk is also big.
I only use a small part of my funds for crypto, the rest I use the reward from the bounty to add crypto assets.

its not adviced to invest our money cryptocurrency with high portion, just remember this market consist of high risk that maybe we never imagine when market suddenly crash and going bad. our crypto assets value could left 5% only when it happen , our mental and psychology will not ready to face it. Dont put our money too much in this market , it is as investment not as speculation. 20% from our money is enough and it could give us mulitple gains when market  have good trend.

Well, that is actually good because from the way you aportioned it, shows you are comfortable with it. However, I think people risks management varies, there are many who have huge capital only in their crypto with little in banks, now this capital in crypto might be mostly stablecoins with few good coins. In addition, this can also be because of their engagement in crypto such as being a private sale investor, a trader and so on, therefore for someone like this most of his time is in crypto which equals to most of his capital being in crypto as well.
On the other hand, there are people who don't trade or invest much but prefer keeping their capital in USDT, they even convert some of their offline payments to crypto.
So like I said, it depends on your risk management and what you want to achieve, however I also agree with you, keeping fiat is very important to take care of bills and offline investments as at when due.

Do that's like 99% in crypto, could have been 100% but one way or the other I'm always left with 1% in my bank.  ;D
I have seen 2 people here give the equivalent of 99% investing in crypto, you must have understood the risk of consequences if the market could crash at any time and can you provide any motivation that pushes you against market risk.

I'm not the type of person who likes to keep money in bank accounts. If my position is in yours, then the steps I will take are to invest 40%, in the capital market 15%, in crypto 15% and cash 30%. the rest I just put the money into the bank account.

Because nowadays it is very inappropriate for us to keep money in the bank, our money settles in the Bank without any spin and this can't do anything, if we want to keep it in my opinion, 20% or 30% is enough.

But people's mindset will never be the same, maybe they have their own alternative in managing finances, but if asked for an opinion, I prefer what I said earlier.

When I made my investment in 2012, Bitcoin constituted for only 1% of my net worth. And at the time of 2017 ATH, it accounted for more than 90% of my wealth. During 2018-20 period, I made a decision to diversify my assets. I sold some of my coins, and invested in stocks, bullion, bank deposits and mutual funds using that money. Looking back, I managed to diversify (Bitcoin is now down to 70% of my overall portfolio), but if I had held on to the coins then I would have been in a much better position.

Because I am crypto lover so most of my money is of course here (crypto), yes maybe more than 70%. Why? because I believe that crypto will give me a very bright future

I believe I also have somewhere around 70% of my funds in crypto.  Although this is less by choice and more the result of an ever increasing market rate.  My goal is to end the year closer to 50% of my funds being in crypto, but we'll see how that goes.  Unfortunately, there isn't many good places to park funds these days.  The housing market in the US is crazy overvalued, stocks are at all time highs, bonds aren't keeping pace with inflation, and silver/gold aren't performing as they should be.  When used cars are making the best investment returns, it obvious the entire financial system is messed up.  All you can really do is just keep trying to diversify and hope that when the shit hits the fan some of your assets are able to protect you, or sit in cash and get eaten by inflation in order to avoid missing a chair when the music stops.

Optimism, that was good for you...
Well, I have a different story from you. Though I have such kind of positivity, still my funds remain at 50% in crypto (more on the top coins) and 50% in the other business. I've shared equally not because of the trust issues but because I'm looking for assurance. Of whatever happens to my crypto investment like if I lose my money in there I'm not too wary because it can still recover with the help of my other business.

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

Bank - 80%
Crypto - 15%
Cash - 5%

Yeah, it is mostly in banks and i do only put a small percentage on crypto but doesnt mean that i wont be putting more anytime soon.

Im just re-rolling my investment and if it turns out to be profitable then that might be the time i would be adding things up.
This is personal preference because there are people who dont love to risk that much including me.

That is fine if you've got most of your money into the bank. As you've said, not all of us have the same take on risk-taking and management. Just take risks with the amount that you're totally fine with. Because it is you that will determine how much you're going to take and don't be down if there are people that suggest you put an amount that you can't afford because, in the end, it's your decision that will still be the final to be followed.

I like how you control your finances, I know for sure you believe in cryptocurrencies but you can still control yourself to follow your heart that you are not ready to take risks. If you look around us, many people do not think about this and even dare to take high risks even though they are not ready. From this incident, finally many people are emotionally disturbed because they are weak in managing finances and emotions

Actually I could have done the same in that year, if my misconception about crypto was cleared earlier. Not that I would think of any losses since it is only 1% anyway plus it is net and not gross. Surely I would crap bricks when I found out that I made a lot from that 1% investment.

At these days, I only do just 80/20 and inside that 20 is also divided for crypto, not that whole 20 will be to crypto. A man is gonna need something else for his wants of course. :)

It is important to make calculations in financial books, this is the correct investment pattern. If we don't do this, then how much money we spend will not be known, which is why it is important for us to make it.

However, I think you keep too much money in the bank, isn't this not giving you any profit, it's good to invest another 40% money, so that you can achieve passive income according to the target you have set.

The rest, in my opinion, is very appropriate, it's just that the money you save in the bank needs to be maximized again, so that your income becomes bigger and passive, although the risk is also great for investment.

The profit you make from bounties is the one you use for trading those crypto that you've assigned for holding?

I think that's not new and that's very usual in terms of making profit out of bounties, there's assurance that a bounty hunter will replace that reward into a more worth it crypto that's good for holding.

I will not waste money by saving in the bank, because it is not profitable for me. I prefer to keep money in the crypto market in stable coins, and wait for the coin price to dump, and buy it. I think this method is more useful than saving money in the bank. If I need it, I will withdraw money from the exchange as I need it. Moreover, the withdrawal process is very fast, so it does not hinder what we need.

I estimate would be around 20% and all of that is in Bitcoin. I do not invest in altcoins at the moment but I am on the look out for new projects all the time just in case I miss one that is worth investing in. I cannot believe the amount of scams there are and people are supporting them anyway.

Trading is investing but I guess you mean that trading is short term trading? Investing to you is long term investing? They are both investing but short term investing is riskier than long term holding depending on the altcoin but Bitcoin is definitely a better option to hold long term.

May you never found it important but it has the sense to know if you are in profit or losing. When you are in business (not in crypto), everything is written and calculated, it is must be the same thing we have to do in crypto. To track your investment and capital is a way to know where you are now and can ask yourself, Am I winning already or I was a wreck?
Because for me, I was nearly at 50% of my target. Still have more money to fill before I reach my target.

In my case I have separated my capital into parts, one of which is in the day trade, the other part is in the real world where I am doing business. I think diversifying investment Is investing in things on the internet and in the real world. to keep putting money in a lot of altcoins and thinking that this is diversifying investment is a mistake in my opinion.

So if you want to call it a 100% crypto capital, that is fine because I have not invested my own money since I started earning in crypto, I just saved and invested what I earned here and redeemed that only. What comes from crypto to me also goes into some mutual funds and bonds which give good returns.

for only $300 you expect to never have to work again?
I honestly have to say you are a lazy person.
although growing small capital to big is very possible in the crypto market. But if you don't work hard you won't get anything.

I have also been using this method for years, and it is very effective. especially for me who does not have the capital. so I try to collect as much capital as possible from the bounty campaign, then I divide the reward to buy some coins that have long-term potential, and some for trading.
I quite enjoy living it, because I do not use the money from my special salary to meet basic needs. Psychologically this is really calming, whatever the risk is not too big and I'm ready to face it, let's just say it's hard work, :)

It is like information can be used nowadays by many people and even if we are living behind the usernames we are using, these usernames are still part of us and can be associated with our real identities. Everytime we see someone wants to ask bits and pieces of information from other users, it sometimes makes us wonder what their motives are and how are they planning to use this information.

Thats the main question.. hehe.. We wouldnt know on how long we could able to last in our current age as if this moment this is why i do live my life to the fullest without hesitation on doing things that i do want rather

than on focusing on accumulating riches since those things can be bring afterlife. So its no point that you wouldnt really be enjoying on what you do currently have now, its not bad to save but at least you do cherish

on what you do have currently now and doesnt really go long on future years since you wouldnt know on what would happen 90% in crypto is indeed showing being too optimistic but well its their money
then they do have the full control or make things according to their likings.

In a bull market most of my capital is allocated into Crypto, this is the time to be greedy, if you look at the market most of these Altcoin won't be able to give huge returns again but they will become more stable and a solid investment has time pass, look at Ethereum, it has not outperform in BTC value though in USD it has reached new ATH. The most important thing is to readjust your gains into project that are yet to pump
That will be a big opposite for me, I invested and hold more coins (60% OF MY MONTHLY INCOME) during the bear season taking advantage while the price is cheap but once Bullrun has come, I'm in selling and then wait for the price to roll back and start again. I've used this strategy for a very long time, it is quite effective for me compared to when we jump into the market during the bullish season.

I never put money in a bank, but I will fill in the minimum balance for fiat transfers and deposits to make crypto trade transactions from bank to exchange.
Since every coin in crypto has a price that fluctuates, then I only dare to put 30% and the rest for investments as I have chosen.
there are many choices, but I live in the countryside and need a real investment and business because sometimes the internet network at my house is bad, that's why I choose to put 50% for the business beverage coconut.

The rest of my total assets I have invested in the family business. We all know that cryptocurrency trading is a lucrative business and investment medium but there are a lot of risks involved. So you should save some money to have some mental relaxation. I have more than 50% of my total capital in crypto, I made huge money through crypto, so I believe it for a long term, 30% of my cryptocurrency portfolio are for long term coins that I don't intend to touch for a couple of years, the remaining percentage are for trading and buying of shit coins for more money, I have learnt that there is no reason to keep a huge sum of money in the bank

I invest little in crypto. And it's also that my investment hasn't been profitable, so I'm still losing 50% of my current capital. I just hope the market stays bullrun and has a new ATH again, so that my capital returns 100% even I can make a profit. I invested in several altcoins and bitcoin.

Even you invest just a little in crypto, you can make it huge if you are lucky in crypto and have knowledge how to make profit in investing on it. I also tried on trading with a capital of 20% and after a few months it was not just triple the profit because I gain more. Just always have self discipline, patience, strategy and don't be greedy.

That's still a lot and you're lucky if most of your bounties are successful as you're earning from it. It's not a secret that many bounties are not that successful.
They're not even paying their participants and that's why to believe that someone earns that much through bounties and having more than 50% is already a lot.

I do not invest any dollars in cryptocurrency funds directly. I’m different from the Bounty campaign I invest a large part of my income in cryptocurrency. However, sometimes when I face losses, I invest some money from the fund in cryptocurrency.

Around 20%-30% in my case, which I adjust according to the time being. When it is bull market, I would make it 30% while 20% in the bear market.

So far the biggest part of my life has been investing in crypto not too much but as much income as has been invested in crypto. I don’t usually invest in one place left in separate funds 50% is kept in crypto and the rest of the income is saved in the daily needs and external aspects of one's life. The reason is to keep crypto's as well as everyday cases.

Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

I invested in cryptocurrency very early (in 2014) and I was one of the fortunate ones to benefit from the heavy returns during the initial days. When I purchased Bitcoin for the first time, the price was $600 per coin. I don't want to provide the absolute number, but I can say that more than half of my portfolio is consisted of cryptocurrency right now. I have been diversifying my portfolio by selling some of my cryptocurrency and purchasing other assets. And if not for this, the % contribution could have been closer to 80%.

Cryptocurrency is a new concept to this world even some countries don't understand this concept to believe in this system that makes this crypto very dangerous marketplace. I have invested 30℅ of my total capital in this concept because there can be a huge gain or loss so we don't like to this type of high risk.

Why dont you spend from your own pocket first? If you believe in crypto, you should risk some money from your own pocket although small amount only (at leasr for starting phase of your invesment). You have no guarantees of earning money from bounties, so you may need to wait for too long time if you rely on bounties for your very first investment.

so far I have only $5k in crypto assets and I got it from a bounty campaign some time ago and I keep it in one of the exchange markets for me to use as capital to make short-term trades. and other assets are all in my bank account. because I do not dare to invest large amounts in crypto because it has a high risk.

believing in crypto does not mean having to face the risk!
my principle if I don't have more funds I will not do that, I will not use my KITCHEN funds to invest in crypto
I rely more on funds from the bounty for my first investment later.

Everyone has their own way of managing their total assets based on different investment opportunities and criteria.  I have models around pure real estate/business 30% off the ground, bitcoin and crypto 40%, the rest in fiat to deal with covid19 contingencies and spending living and family activities, I need it for other related matters like health, insurance, etc
It's not balanced yet, but it's pretty good to maintain

in this case, I may have 70% of the assets in cryptocurrencies, and 30% in my bank account. however, right now, I'm focusing on developing digital currency assets rather than my offline assets. however, I feel that this year, the coins I hold will reach their new ATH. So, because of that, I hold more assets in cryptocurrencies than assets in my bank.

I don't put too much in crypto because i'm still trauma of getting scammed by people. i'd say i have 80% money on bank account, 15% in cash and 5% in crypto.

I'm still afraid of investing or to just put my funds in crypto. But seeing all my friends got profit after they investing some or all of their funds makes me thinking twice about that  :-\

you have been scammed because you let it happens, never blame crypto because you can invest by holding it on your wallets and never do deals with anyone , maybe you become greedy from the promises of big income so you become a victim.

60% in your bank account is quite high to be honest, but that's you for me I have about 90% of my total networth in crypto, 5% in usdt just incase I need it to buy the dip or change it to fiat and the remaining 5% in my bank account, the percentage in my BBK account is smaller because the purchasing power of fiat has reduced alert, even when compared to usd it has depreciated so the 5% in my account is just for my day to day spendings nothing else.

I have not calculated properly but I think it would be 8-10%. I believe that we should invest that money which we can afford to lose. My 40% portfolio is BTC and 60% is Altcoins. which includes Ethereum, Matic, FTT, ADA, and Arpa. I am thinking to add more percent in crypto.

Well, I'm very much aware of the axiom of not investing more than you can afford to lose, but I have to say that I have a very large percentage of my funds in Bitcoin, not really crypto cause it's a general term. My country's fiat currency is at a constant devaluation and there is currently a high rate of inflation, it becomes very necessary for people who are exposed to Bitcoin to embrace it as a hedge to fiat devaluation/inflation. I believe in the Bitcoin network to be a sustainable project for the long period, but mind you, if you're going to put a large percentage of your funds in crypto, put it in Bitcoin, if you make the mistake of choosing one pump and dump coin or the other, then there is a pretty high chance you'll lose your funds to scammers.

Having said that, it's not just individuals that use Bitcoin as a hedge, since the start of the pandemic there has been an influx of institutional investors into the network and it is because of the rate at which most economies are struggling, plus policies of the government that would bring nothing but inflation, thus having a large percentage of your capital in Bitcoin isn't a bad option.

I'm not really an investor, I got into cryptocurrency in approximately 2013, generating micro amounts of BTC. After signing up here, I joined a bunch of signature campaigns, started Altcoin mining and made a quite decent profit. I held most of the BTC I earned till now, thanks to this move, and a couple of DeFi investments I made, my crypto assets consist approximately 50% of my total capital (Wallets, Bank Accounts etc.).

Thanks to this forum, I have a few thousand dollars set aside for reinvesting or as an emergency fund.
