Title: Ways to avoid being scammed!!!
Post by: Barinekapaul on September 09, 2021, 07:47:17 PM
Must we give a reason for scammers to continue scamming us?

The insensitive increase in scamming activities over the decades has been on the increase in most parts of the world.
People have attributed this increase to several factors and yet, despite the awareness gathered, the trend still strives.

One will be eager to ask ways scammers get this done and the ways are:
1. Through your contacts
2. Through social media platforms
3. Through manipulating your electronic mails (email)

Following the increase in this, it is important and necessary to avoid this by;

1.  Pray to God for you not to be a Victim
2. Always do well to avoid too good to be true messages of you winning a prize for what you are sure you never applied for
2. Emails that are linked with your financial affairs should not be used on almost all platforms and links.
3. When you do POS transactions or purchase, ensure you are conscious there are no smart play with your credit or debit cards.
4. Be updated about the lattest trends and techniques been used by scammers in everyday life.
5. Never let greed control you, as greed makes you prone to been scammed.
6. Mind those who you give your phones to make calls and contacts to people you don't know.
7. ALways be conscious, or better still, avoid connecting with Wifi networks as this is a means of extracting your data.
8. Always remember to log off your personal accounts (emails, social media) etc. when you use public cafe' and
9. Report any problem associated with the loss of any of your financial institutions to your banks.
10. Be able to patiently read terms and conditions before saying yes or accepting terms and conditions sent to you.
   Lastly
11. Be able to cross-check emails sent to your phones regarding your financial statements as the messages are clone to,
resemble your banks, but rather having slight changes mostly at the middles with one word having different fonts.
N/B: Be responsible and protect yourself from being scammed!!!!!!

I have long been scammed so I won't join my opinion that it is on the increase. Maybe I have grown and experienced to be smarter now and won't fall for just any scam plans. A major reason that we get scammed is greed, take away your greed and you won't be scammed.

I have then noticed that some factors help me not to fall for scam anymore. They are below, maybe you can add the idea if it is not there in your post

1. Being able to suspect anything that looks too real to be truth.

2. Understanding that there are no free gift anymore because behind it is a scamming possibility on the gift or favour most times is the case.

I think you are referring to a particular set of scammers that would do social hacking rather than pure old hacker work and mostly related to identity theft. You can potentially get scammed in so many ways and credit card fraud is so frequent that there is not a single guide that can help you avoid it. Even commercial software sometimes comes with trojans - remember the SolarWinds hack - and even the apparently safest companies may have penetrations from time to time.

There is just common sense left.

Let's not forget that since a ecade we live in the cryptocurrencies era, so chances are bigger for scams to happen.
While all your instructions can be applied to avoid any possible scam attempt, scamming in crypto is so much easier because the scammer will only look for your private key or seed and doesn't need your personal info neither your bank data. If the scammer succeed to compromise one of your devices, he wouldn't be in need for any contact info. The secret key is being very cautious when using the internet:
- Not to open any link from unknown sources that you may find in ay website or even receiving it into your email.
- not to install any software before checking it, as trojans can be found even in commercial softwares.
- Not to connect strange devices with your mobile/pc like flash-discs, hard discs, memory cards...etc
- Store your savings in an off-line device and use the same device to sign transactions without connecting to internet.
- Save your secret codes in an off-line computer

To make a short and brief ways to avoid dealing with those fraudulent scammers who tried to put us down.

Scammers become very skilled in technology as users becoming also knowledgeable in technology. While phishing isn't working anymore some scammers are already creating their own tokens redistributing them again in BSC network mirroring the old coins for you to log in using your private keys. Always be cautious about what comes around because you might think they are real.

Any method would really be created when one of those bogus ways would be busted up and that would really be a continuous cycle because there are indeed people who do keep feeding these scammers.
Basically you would really be just needing up some common sense for you to avoid such loss of money because everything turns out to be good to be true then it would be good that you do know
on how to avoid these things or basically earning money is hard and everyone who do offers good then you should think twice or thrice.

Just don't talk to a stranger on social media and in all any forms of contact that just contacted you abruptly. Scammers will do almost every trick once they've already a scheme and strategy. Some might choose that they know and those random victims.
Never talk to anyone that you haven't talked to before if it's about making money or how to build your wealth through investments. Because most of these scammers are playing psychologically and using people's weaknesses to trick them and one of it is through money and greed.

I think the best thing to avoid being scam is know whats your investment and its goal. If you see things that are just too good to be true without exerting an effort to happen then for sure its a big scam. Learn to avoid those scammers who are only here to steal what we have.

One thing also is to have a concrete plan and stick with it. You should not entertain other people that might ruin your plan and change it just because they are offering bigger profits compared to what you expect from yours.

Those who haven't experience it yet might get intrigued with what the other's would offer to them but always remember that if it's too good to be true then it's most likely a scam attempt so you better think twice before accepting the offer. Besides of that, there's no easy money in this world just like what the other's offered to you so always do your own research first if you are curious about their offer. And don't be afraid to say no or I'll just have to think about it first but if they proceed to push their offer then it's most likely a scam so avoid and DYOR.

If you have this "Common sense" you can protect yourself from being a scam or get fraud.  Even though scammers or hackers nowadays get smarter and if you know how to protect your self there's nothing they can do.  Most of those next to their victim are those naive and newbie in crypto space will fall into their trap.  Even if you're a newbie you can avoid them and I tend to agree with the summarized post above by the OP.

In this community, heads up to the Beginners & Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0) there are too many threads there that you can learn how to protect your crypto assets from being scammed.

One thing, avoid disclosing personal information in social media like Telegram, that's a house of scammers especially for those strange people that you didn't know asking related financial stuff.

Rule #1, never trust anyone, even your close friends or family, when they recommend to you something. DYOR, it's the age of the internet, a simple lookup would have enough information on whatever you're actually trying to find/look for. If it's too good to be true, then it's most likely a scam. An opportunity? You gotta look for those yourself, you think it'd just knock on your door and let you know that "hey, I'm an opportunity, take me"? Don't be afraid of asking questions, it's your safety at stake after all.

Agreed, but not all of them, even your relatives and closest friends, have the potential to defraud you. I agree that you should not trust almost everyone, but I believe that if you are scammed by your family (Mother and Father), you should still trust them but not others because they are doing it for your own good while others are only interested in your money. The best advice I can give is to do your research and avoid investing if the return is easy and quick.

Personality weaknesses of the deceived:
1. Greed small and cheap.
2. Blindly believe in authority.
3. Did not develop the ability to think independently.

Don't trust strangers, people who have only met a few times, ordinary friends.
If you are worried or suspected of being deceived, even if it is a very small amount of money or price, don't risk it, because once you want to try it, it will be easier to get a bigger one.
Don't be deceived by beautiful dreams, don't be dazzled by your own desires. A trick often used by fishermen and hunters is to give the fish and prey the food he wants, and he can take the line or shoot when he takes the bait.

Be vigilant, do not click on unknown links, and do not fill in personal information on any "active pages", especially your own private key.
Liars are particularly enthusiastic and talkative people. Be vigilant against such people, talk to them less, and avoid falling into the trap they set up.
There is no free lunch in the world, there will be no pie in the sky, only traps. Good things that are too easy to get often carry hooks.

Just don't make transactions that you are not the ones who initiate because if they are the ones who initiate to conduct business with you, you should be careful. There is google that you can try searching about the people you are making a transaction with. You can inquire from the people in the forum like bitcointalk too.

Sometimes scammers can deceive people who are actually very smart but one rule that will definitely work, if their link asks for your pasword/private key, do not login.

If you are looking for ways to avoid being scammed, you must always be vigilant when you open any unknown message on your mail or when you receive messages from strangers on Telegram or Discord and other applications. Pay attention to everything you do and download your applications from their official sites and not be attracted to any temptations because they will be a trap for you by one of the scammers.

Because there are indeed many scammers who are even smarter, highly skilled and there are various kinds of scams... we should not lose to that, it's really about privacy that must be completely private and tightly locked. Learning from experience and adding insight can avoid things that smell like scams. Well, this is like the negative side of crypto which is like testing us to keep avoid scams.

As a first timer in crypto will end up being scammed and for me it's a lesson to learned for a long term wherein it will be the reason to be more careful next time. Many scammers are circulating online and they just waiting for opportunity to come by that's why being vigilant will be the best weapon. Never response people on messaging app, never click suspicious links and always put 2FA on every accounts of exchange platforms.

I also have my own ways to avoid these scammers.
1. Stop pressing links. If you don't know where the link will take you then just read it and google it. You might find some clues if it will just direct you to a scam site.
2. E-mails, telegram, discord, or whatever chat and contact platforms, avoid deep conversations especially when you are talking about accounts and profile information. Don't give him any clue about yourself. Stay anonymous as much as possible.
3. Stay lowkey, don't boast what you have. Be rich in silence.

What does it mean that my relatives deceived me? This simply cannot be, otherwise, I am simply sorry for you that you live in such a society.
I just can't imagine how scammers can deceive me. OP, information is already so old that it is already taught in primary school. The Internet did not appear yesterday, and security methods are the most common rules, the same as the rules of the road.
Scammers and scams will always exist as long as there are stupid people. Any naive person who thinks he is special, that there is a free prize for him, will end up deceiving himself and being deceived. And I do not blame fraudsters here, I blame human stupidity and greed. And we all know that these are vices. First, get rid of your vices, then you will be invulnerable to scammers.

Be responsible and protect yourself from being scammed!!!!!!

It all boils down to this, secure yourself, your account and anything that is sensitive to your finances. You shouldn't be careless on how you leave this information unprotected same goes for your wallet details like private keys, recovery seeds, passcodes etc. You should be aware that scammers are always looking for ways to get this information and access your account to steal your funds.

Just as you have said, avoid unnecessary discussion with people you don't know, scammers are always first to make contact therefore treat everyone that contacts you without your knowledge as scammers until proven otherwise. Security is a subject we shouldn't stop talking about as the scammers are always inventing new ways and improvising news means to trap their victims. The only way to reduce your chances of been a victim is by been vigilant.

Scamming has been so rampant these days as this is not just happening in the crypto world but even in our own real life day to day activities. As more and more people get to engage in this high technology, the scamming incidents got to increase too and they are more after with those newbies in town.

I believe that we get only scam because we let it to happen. So the best thing to avoid it is be more educated and vigilant. Secure all your assets down to finances and always be responsible of keeping them safe all the time. And never trust anyone be it a friend or a total stranger because as long as money is involve, everyone will be tempted and lured once they knew it will be very possible to steal.

The scammers that I know when it comes to crypto are different from the scammers that the OP is saying.
What you said relates to hacking. Hacking and scamming have similarities and differences though, the set of advices that the OP has shared more relates into hacking.

Scammers tend to scam more thru direct messages and phishing sites. Hackers are hacking just what the OP has said but either way, the OP has shared useful and very important tips in order for us not to get scammed or hacked. Just beware always and double check the links that you are clicking :). Just remember, if you got a DM out of nowhere it is a 100% scam.

I've notice an increase in scam complaint on my feed on a particular site , I wonder why? Are people getting scammed frequently thesedays?
I'm not sure I've been scammed on the internet  in that manner (through baits) and the scammers succeeding in taking away my money. I've always been extremely careful dealing with people especially online and that made me to avoid transactions on the internet with anyone even though there are some genuine opportunities to earn money and do good honest/good deals with people.   It's shocking how people easily try to scam others on the internet without serious consequences. An attempt to scam people shouldn't be ignored by security agencies... They shouldn't wait until people are scammed before arresting the scammers.

In regards to the wifi part, I think that should be mostly for public wifi. If you are connecting to public wifi you are likely exposing yourself to scammers unless it's a super secured wifi and yo properly secure yourself before using the wifi

What I need to do before investing is to choose a safe platform to buy coins on and do a detailed investigation of the platform especially about the security, storage and also insurance on the platform I want to use, and secure the account with a secure password and change it frequently.
Don't open links that I don't recognize and in addition don't easily trust unsolicited offers or suspicious activity, and many other things to secure your assets if you want to learn about them and apply them for the safety of your assets because fraud will happen unexpectedly.

I have the first two but I am having a hard time doing the first but most of the time it's not that much that I share in my social media so it's still sort of under the radar and most of my friends are doing crypto so even if I do flex what I have, it's not a problem.

I have done all the advice you gave to avoid fraud and it is indeed quite effective to avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Especially related to suspicious
links and we don't know them often appear in our emails and social media,  it can be a problem that we often experience if we are not careful,
which causes people to be deceived. Sometimes many people are provoked by unknown links and immediately press the link without thinking.
That's because sometimes the title of the link really catches our attention, but we should not click the link, it will put us in the trap of scammers.
It's actually not that hard to avoid scams in the crypto world, we must be careful what we do, and not be easily attracted by offers that are too good.

1. Mind those who you give your phones to make calls and contacts to people you don't know.
2. ALways be conscious, or better still, avoid connecting with Wifi networks as this is a means of extracting your data.
3. Always remember to log off your personal accounts (emails, social media) etc. when you use public cafe' and
4. Report any problem associated with the loss of any of your financial institutions to your banks.
5. Be able to patiently read terms and conditions before saying yes or accepting terms and conditions sent to you.
   Lastly
6. Be able to cross-check emails sent to your phones regarding your financial statements as the messages are clone to,
resemble your banks, but rather having slight changes mostly at the middles with one word having different fonts.
N/B: Be responsible and protect yourself from being scammed!!!!!!

Number #3 needs to be expanded a bit - you should really avoid using any sort of public wifi when you need to login to a website, as you might be vulnerable to certain types of man-in-the-middle attacks when they can "sniff" the data passing through your connection. Most of your other points are fairly sensible. You should definitely use a different password on every website because lots of sites can get compromised and there are ways your password might get exposed. Keep software installs to a minimum, as there are so many nasty programs out there which can be used to steal important files from your PC and gain wider access to your devices and there is never a good reason to give control of your PC over software like teamviewer to people you don't know.

It's a nice try to summarize the main points, but I don't agree with some of them. #2 sounds a bit paranoid, as connecting to Wi-Fi networks is not itself a risky move. For one, you can use a VPN and stay safe. Also, you can simply avoid accessing websites that make you susceptible to theft (online banking, blockchain wallet or similar). #4 is kind of obvious and means one's already been scammed, so it's not a prevention technique. And #5 is what one should ideally do, but most ToS are very long and written in a very technical way, so it's pretty much impossible to read it all. But instead, one can make it a rule to check an app's reputation online before downloading it, and at least skimming through the ToS. What's not on the list, but IMO deserves a place, is getting familiarized with new scam schemes and how they work, never paying money to allegedly get more money, avoiding everything that sounds too good.

There are already many topics here on this forum about how to avoid getting scammed and fall into the traps. The sad thing is people sometimes know how to avoid getting scammed and they know the usual way the scammers use but still they fall into the trap and mostly 'greed' is the main reason. A picture of a luxury car and make people greedy to reach their goals in one day and that's what the scammer wants. They will abuse the greed and try to control the emotion of victims, that's mostly about working emotions. Ufrotunetly, many people won't be able to control their emotions and fall into these traps.

Family members and relatives could scam you for sure but, it doesn't mean its in your best interest that they do so. You don't drive a man against his will over his own funds or privacy details and then you say, its in there best interest. What the heck is that best interest! Should you feel the need for a thing be done in a particular way, use your funds in archiving that and not tell me its in my best interest. Personally, I can't trust anyone who plays a scam trick on me, my skepticism about you would be raised high.

Scammers and scams will always exist as long as there are stupid people. Any naive person who thinks he is special, that there is a free prize for him, will end up deceiving himself and being deceived. And I do not blame fraudsters here, I blame human stupidity and greed.
I but into this very seriously. I don't know but, there would always be these set of persons (naive/stupid people and scammers/fraudsters). It's a part of the society and you just have to play your cards wisely to beat them. Know that the world is everyone for himself and know that your daily bread would always be a product of your hard work.

Another tip to help you out there especially if you're using public electronics in your country, always have a throwaway email that you can use without caring about what's going to happen to it. This way, you can avoid using your personal accounts from being seen by the public and they don't exactly thing that it's a throwaway because for them, it's a waste of time.

you will never get scammed if you dont trust strangers when they ask you to do something suspicious. You can avoid wallet theft and being hacked if your device is safe from various things that are vulnerable to online crimes. the important thing is to stay safe and clean while doing internet activities, don't let silly things make us lose something.

Before investing, it is very important to know what you're investing and when you're throwing your money. An investor that doesn't have an idea with what he's about to invest, he don't know what he's doing because he's probably new to it and fine with whatever result with his investments as starting. But someone who invested already with several type of investments, he's all for the profit. It may not that be quick and easy but he knows what he's doing and that's why he's also avoiding the typical scam investments.

one thing is for sure, these scammers are looking for victims with the same motive and of course there is an important point here, namely the victims must be interested and trapped in the traps they set so that their plans run smoothly.
well what I want to say is that these scammers will not be able to successfully deceive people when the person is not interested in the lure they make, the problem is that people are too reckless and too greedy for something that causes this to happen.
it is true that this is detrimental because there are indeed many victims who have been hit by the net of the fraudster, but the important point is that we forget that this also happened because of the carelessness of the victims who were exposed to the scam.
from now on try not to be greedy for something and don't be too tempted by things that are logically impossible in order to reduce cases like fraud like this.

And one of the most crucial ways not to get scammed easily by scam projects in the market is that one should always read the whitepaper of the project and do a comprehensive research about it. Experienced investors are already aware of this being very important. But I can't say the same thing for most of the newbies in the market. They should be able to teach themselves about this market well. Otherwise we can continue to see so many people getting scammed.

without thinking off twice that easy money doesnt really exist on this world. You would just had notice when its already over or when you are already been scammed. On having just your own common sense

It's very obvious that we are one that give scammers room to penetrate into us, really i know it's difficult to detect who is a scammer previously but due to a lot of challenges and level of scam that's flying around the nation, i derived a means to eradicate them not penetrate into any user, so don't  be forcefully engaged in any investment platform, secondly don't respond to conversation you know that is made of much profit or promises, so if  you happen to come across this two things i mentioned just abstain from them.

Cryptocurrency is known to be get rich quick investment that's why new investors engage to new projects. In the case of greed, it's their fault for engaging investments that are promising high yields in such a short period of time. Most of these are newer projects and I have been with it for a long time which I have been holding some of their tokens still even today which its prices are still dipping even in the altcoin season. No chance of recovery because it's all just a disposable project. I was avoiding it this time and feel more secure while just trading BTC and top coins.

Getting scammed in the cryptocurrency industry had become so ubiquitous that some people believes it as a part of your cryptocurrency journey or a rite of passage that will determine how you would fare against the daunting tides of this field. Thing is this shouldn't be the case no matter how common scamming happens between people. That's why I always ensure that everytime I introduce someone to cryptocurrency, they are full-equipped with the knowledge that they can use to fend off these scammers and avoid losing all their hard-earned assets altogether. One of the best tips I give them and I could give newcomers too is that if it seems to good to be true, it probably is, so might as well avoid it. I can never reiterate how much this tip had saved me.

This is kind of unavoidable since you will always have to input very crucial information on cellular and electronic devices whenever you would make an activity that involves cryptocurrencies. Additional protection wouldn't hurt at all so whenever you login, or input some vital information that hackers could use to steal your identity or your money, all their efforts would be in vain. I personally don't use password collectors because for me that's like putting all your eggs in one basket but to each his own, find out whatever works for you best and stick to it.

Well, when you're talking about wallet security, I believe Trust wallet and Coinbase is not the safest. Not your keys, not your coins. Though this wallet providers has a high trust rating, but it's still susceptible to hacking and any kind of wallet attacks, and you can also lose your asset anytime.
If you're so concerned about your wallet and asset security, you should use cold or offline wallets like Trezor or Ledger Nano S. This will prevent you form any harmful attacks online and it is the safest when we're talking about asset security.

It's very easy to build tokens and there ain't much difference how ERC20 tokens are build compare to BSC, this have been around for years so it's nothing new, to invest in new altcoins one need to pick them from reliable sources like binance exchange, kucoin or new platforms like polkastarter and Dao Maker

Whenever those things been suggested or post up in Binance launchpad is something i do really spot on because considering about the level of risk then you could really able to see their differences and by just using up

your common sense then you could really able to tell on which one is worth or really have the potential that could grow its value but of course its not always a guarantee and you should always mind off the risk.

New projects or coins is totally something in default which this had been used on scamming out newbie investors this is why you should really be watchful or be aware.

Make a call but you have never had a connection before about the things the scammer is asking. So in this case the scammer does have many ways. We must really keep social media so private when it comes to data theft.

That is probably one of the first things you should do, however that is the basics of it. The weird thing about getting scammed is that most of the time it is after a "chat". You could get automatically scammed as well, download some bad software, click on a wrong link, basically all of the wrong things. However there are whole companies that are scam, whole projects that are scams.

I have seen a pancake copy called fullsail or something like that which started, collected tens of thousands of dollars, and then closed shop. So basically it is definitely possible that you could trick too many people together. It all depends on the project and how you do it, I have seen people spend tens of thousands of dollars into huge stuff just to trick people into believing they are legit just to end up tricking people into paying them huge amounts. So, it is not always as simple as phishing, sometimes it is the long con.

Common sense...
I'm not sure if all of us have that simple thing inside. Trusting someone stranger and give him the money as he/they talk about a good-looking and promising offer? That is exactly how many people got lost their common sense and get scammed. This is mostly happening to newbies and this will always happen to them when they don't change their greedy souls.
OP had said it but honestly, there are ways to get scammed and these scammers are too smart enough than us and that is why we have to be smart as well in order to deal with these people otherwise, we fall into their trick.

Scammers are even wiser than us in finding ways how to scam newbies in the market. If we tend to be more educated and knowledgeable, of course they become smarter too in their own ways. So it really matters on our attitude and how we'll deal with this market full of scammers.

Common sense will not be enough as most of the newbies have hard time instilling it in their minds. I must say just being responsible with your personal account and learn not to share them with others even how close you are. Scammers are unstoppable so we should be more vigilant and cautious whatever actions we make.

Because most of the time, they don't dig deeper. When they see too-good-to-be-true ROI's, they jump without searching for more info. As mentioned, if the return is not realistic, doubt about its authenticity. You may be falling to a trap and your hard-earned money will be wasted. Scammers are in all forms. Sometimes, you just realized it when you found out you were screwed. So before getting excited, make sure the platform is legit. It is better to get low ROI as long as you can get, rather than high ROI but no assurance that even your initial funds can get back.

Nope, I'd rather have them talk to me properly rather than doing it like this which is really a half-assed way of actually asking for money or managing it for me (assuming that there's a problem really). Heck, I'd actually restore my trust earlier to a foreigner who scammed me rather than my parents scamming me, since really, it's just a really stupid way of dealing with their child.

That doesn't mean though that low ROI projects aren't scams. There are still some out there, especially ones that actually bide their time. Those ones are the really devious ones imo since they're actually trying to gather the money slowly while thinking investors would still get profit in years. Really, I'd rather get my money scammed rather than my time.

Avoiding scam becomes difficult when greed is at the fore. I just always assume that the goal of business people is the same, namely to reap the greatest possible profit from their business partners. As for companies which offers a maximum profit of 5% of capital is a reasonable level. If it's more than that, I don't think there's any sane business there except trying to trick one of them.

Scammy projects were all around so we need to be careful in choosing what project we will join with. There are projects that seems too good but not able to perform or develop their projects after they got the investment from people. What I learn now is not too hold on too long to projects or if I do I should monitor it every now and them as they might do exit scam after they get what they need.

They are greedy people but also poor and sympathetic classes in society, sometimes they just want to get a little more work to have a little more savings for their families and their lives, they are manual laborers and they may not be aware of how serious the results of the scam will be and how it affects them, honesty is too easy for scammers to take advantage of and break through this psychological defense. A good enough life would not need such greed but unfortunately, inheriting such a life is not something that everyone has a right to choose.

Today, fraudulent schemes are represented by both old schemes and a new set. In Ukraine, the most frequent and massive fraud schemes remain:
1. Fraud with bank cards.
2. Fraudulent online purchases / sales, especially on multiplayer platforms.
3. "Classic" schemes of deceiving people (something like "you won a car, draw up documents, send 500-1000 dollars for registration of notarial documents")
/ How to deal with this? Well, at least carefully study the recommendations, and follow them without question. Think ! This is a very strong anti-fraud tool :)
There are many more types of fraud, but they are already referred to as "narrow-profile"

Before you get involved with anything that appears to be too good to be true, make sure you've done a lot of research. Scammers use promises of numerous benefits to entice people, so don't believe anything that isn't happening in a normal situation because it could be a scam. Being cautious is free; however, you should always keep in mind that poor decisions can ruin your life, and being scammed is the worst-case scenario that should be avoided.

So let's focus more on the reality of businesses rather than believing on projects wherein developers will suddenly abandon the project once they have taken away the profits. Better to be cautious and smart rather than end up leaving in a huge loss.

As scamming becomes rampant not just in the crypto market but also in all kinds of businesses, then we should be more careful and vigilant to see the real intention of such projects rather than giving out all our trust and money as a capital.
That's is how they treated those people who wanted to get rich instantly. But for us who suspiciously thinking that was a scam will literally be doubtful about that promising and colorful words of scammers. They never win us but somehow they could still found a victim like newbies.
So no matter how hard we tried to warn newcomers about this thing but too unfortunate that there are still a lot of them who got scammed and lose their money with them.

Exactly there is only so much we can do to protect ourselves when it comes to a technical point of view and the rest is simple common sense, the most important thing when it comes to social hacks is to know when something is simply too good to be true, many people let greed blind them and because of it they take decisions that under normal circumstances they will not take and by the time they realize their mistake their coins have left their wallet and there is nothing else to do but to accept those losses.

Newbies are always the target of the scammers as they are less knowledgeable and has few experiences on the reality in crypto market. But there are no exemptions when it comes to gaining knowledge. Even if you are still a newbie, you are expected to do more researches often so you will be more equipped on how to trap scammers with their latest tricks and strategies.

My advice is to be aware all the time. Have the full responsibility of managing your account to keep it safe and secured from all kinds of scamming. There will never be scammers if we won't let it happen. So always keep an eye to your own actions and never show any motive so you will be scam.

In this digital age, one should always be careful what sites he is visiting or signing up with his details.
We don't know where our details end up with. So to prevent this from happening or to lessen the chance, don't click sites that you are not familiar with.
Also, one thing to check is to do quick search in google or any search engine. Sometimes, a lot of things already come up when you hit the search button.
One site that I find helpful also is the https://www.trustpilot.com/, just enter the name of the site and search.

I met a liar before. He said he worked as a mercenary in Afghanistan and chatted for half a month. Suddenly I couldn't get in touch. After two days, I sent a message that he wanted to perform the task and needed to send me the secret documents for safekeeping. I deleted him as soon as I heard it. He thought he was an excellent actor, and I was the fool who applauded him. Fortunately, I saw through his trick.

Also to add, it is good to suspect everyone. When involving in business with someone the first time, it is safe to assume the person is a scammer, unless proven otherwise later. With that consciousness, you will tend to be very careful.
Also, any opportunity that is too good to be true is likely to be a scam. It's a pity I ĺearnt the hard way.
Again, how often you are pressurised to make a payment is one indication of scam. They will just be on your neck so that you won't have the opportunity to consult or make proper research.

This has been said so many times and I still see people repeating it again and again. No matter how much you say there are still going to be those who will fall for it, so there’s really nothing you can do about this. But anyone who is wise enough will always be able to avoid being a victim of these online scammers.

This command has a lot of tactics that they use, and sometimes they put people into fear and there’s one of the ways that they used to force them to get something out from them. So, that end is you have to be really wise enough to know when things are very wrong and also avoid giving out information that you shouldn’t be giving out to others and keep it to yourselves. When it has to do with the banking, you already know that your bank cannot request your information from you online when you are not present in the bank, so anything that has to do with your banking online you have to make sure that you Got your bank to rectify it.

To protect against a series of attacks via social media and alt communications that contact you without you ever doing so I think you have to think it's definitely a scam. Make a call but you have never had a connection before about the things the scammer is asking. So in this case the scammer does have many ways. We must really keep social media so private when it comes to data theft.
never share our personall data in our social media account was be best way to avoid scammers attact us. alot case happening caused by photo in social media accounts, scammers or hacker could use it for bad stuff. phone number , personal identity , our home location and other should privately safe and never share it to unknown people.

That's right, at this time fraud is rampant because we ourselves are not able to maintain personal data properly. Our carelessness exposes what is personal is more vulnerable and easily misused by irresponsible parties. Staying anonymous is the most important thing to protect the identity of criminals who often seek data from social media.

This document scam is happening more than ever nowadays for some reason.
People on this forum and even off-forum on telegram are looking to extract out your identities.

There are scammers who pretend to give out easy loans and will require you to pass a KYC process created by them. Once you send them your documents for verification, you have no idea in what ways and how brutally they can exploit it. I even heard some loans were taken in other's names and huge problems were caused.

I'll add up to this.
If someone sends you a voicemail or an email claiming that you bought something that you didn't buy and wants you to call the number they provided to cancel the order, check your bank transactions first. This is a common refund scams.
If someone also calls you claiming that they're from MS, Amazon, or any reputable companies and tells you the same thing I mentioned above, it's a scam. They don't call you for those.

Nowadays hackers or scammers really always have new way to scam people. And usually who get trapped is who always be curious with anything, reduce our curiousity and keep aware with anything especially who come in email from who we don't know. If me i made different email for wallet and for doing anything online so my wallet email never be used for anything suspicious or not given to someone else. So anything come in email i always aware especially if i don't know the sender because they can put anything in attachment and we can get hacked by it or maybe trapped into phising link, or maybe tempted with anything inside the email which can cause we to get scammed.

It is everyone’s responsibility to protect themselves from being scammed. You have to wise up and know the right things to do and what to avoid. These days I am always careful about the information I put out online, especially when I’m signing up on new websites and stuff like that.

If I am not sure that the website is reliable I make use of an email that is not really my personal email just to protect myself. That’s why it’s good to have a backup email that you can use for maybe signing up on a website that you are not really sure about, that way if anyone should have access to that email they wouldn't be having access to things that are very important to you.

Scams that occur in the crypto world do look simple and obvious but other scams tend to be more complex and sometimes difficult to avoid, and we must be really careful not to do things that are not desirable because everything happens unexpectedly.
and the most common types of crypto scams like fake crypto gifts, trading bot website scams, phishing emails and so on.
to avoid enabling 2FA authentication which is one of the powerful ways to keep my account secure, and not to use the same password for all associated crypto accounts and so as not to forget I copy it on paper and I keep it in a safe place and always log out when I sign in and don't open emails or incoming links I don't recognize, and so on.

There is a fairly good concept - in order to deal with something, you first need to understand and identify the real risks, and develop a set of simple rules that must be followed. Perform without paying attention to anything!
But in our country, entities that are not such are often referred to as risks, and then "they heroically fight against the problems that do not exist." Or they start to get very paranoid :)

Can you really describe what real risks may arise? And describe the ways to neutralize these risks, or prevent them?

Of course, you can describe the real risk that may arise! That comes from "knowing the matter"! How to know is one of those things that are easy to say but hard to do... you need to get your hands dirty, you need to heat up your chair... depending on what you want to know!

Maybe ridiculous, but the most simple and effective example would be playing roulette! For people who don't know anything about roulette numbers, colors and lines can be all the same, but they aren't! Depending on where you place your chips (stake) will depend the risk you are taking in order to multiply your chips! Now you can apply this to everything around, but some things can be very complicated to understand, unlike in roulette!

How to spot real risks, how to neutralize or prevent them, comes from the knowledge! More you know safer you can be! It's why we speak about education, everyone needs to learn and learn, and learn more... it's the only way to get to the knowledge!

having extra securities with both your wallets and your online accounts is the best precautions to avoid scam activities.

It's a must to always make sure that your guard is always up. Scammers like how you describe it can also hide
from its real intentions, there are scammers who create unique ways to perform their activities.

If you don't check it well, there are big possibilities that you'll be tricked and by far you will realize that your account
is being hacked and your wallet is already empty.

Learn how to protect yourself by keeps on updating yourself, there's always information online that will provide info
with possible scamming attacks, be well aware.

I'm not talking about something else a little, but your thought is also useful :)

I would give an example like this:
We define the risk.
For example: Loss of money in a bank card.
What happens: a fraudster can gain access to your monetary resources and steal them by making a transfer to another card, withdrawing from an ATM, account, exchange, paying for the purchase, ...

What does a potential criminal need for this?
PIN code, access to the banking application, SMS confirmation code, OTP code.

How to counteract:
PIN code - do not give to anyone. ANYONE!
Access to the banking application - DO NOT GIVE ANYONE, add blocking and access to the application by fingerprint, and register the mobile number for yourself (if you have a prepaid and not a contract, this does not allow cloning a card, or greatly complicates such a process).
SMS / OTP codes - never transfer to anyone.

Simple, clear, logical. Try to make such risk maps - and life will become easier and safer :)

Spreading scam links in emails is very often done by scammers because it is the easiest way to cast the bait
I always "ignore" messages in my email that doesn't come from the official account (gambling site or exchange, etc)

There are many scammers on the internet who go undercover to be a good person
then don't trust 100% of anything that offers you help or money

Avoiding scam becomes difficult when greed is at the fore. I just always assume that the goal of business people is the same, namely to reap the greatest possible profit from their business partners. As for companies which offers a maximum profit of 5% of capital is a reasonable level. If it's more than that, I don't think there's any sane business there except trying to trick one of them.
Indeed, because indeed from business people all want to get profits as much as possible and will definitely use their respective ways even though the method is indeed dirty and inhuman.
and perhaps the anticipation especially in online like this is don't believe it too much to anyone here because indeed this is very vulnerable especially with people who only know in the world online other than that maybe we must be more realistic in seeing all opportunities because it is not possible for all forms of business can get a big profit even though it's true there are only a few and will be hard to find.

I have said many times that scammers wouldn't scam you if you don't help them to do so. Unconsciously we are helping scammers, sometimes consciously as well by taking chance. Since we are related to crypto-currency so definitely somehow greedy offers will pop up the front of us. It would happen through social media like Telegram or Twitter or others sources as well. If we respond to them then we might fall into a scam. Even scammers would hack your wallet or device as well. So the first requirement is to avoid scams that don't help scammers by responding to their greedy offers. So you can save your valuable assets.
Correct, victims are partially responsible for their own tragedy, they want to believe there is a way to multiply their money fast without risk and without any effort on their part, when we tell them this is not possible they do not want to hear us as this goes against their beliefs, but when a scammer comes to them with that same speech they believe him, why? Because they want to believe him precisely because that is what they are looking for, only to realize too late that we were right.

Scams and fraud have become a major issue in society, and I've noticed that no matter how careful you are, they will keep coming. The simple thing I keep doing is to avoid and block them in any place I see them.
Some of the recommendations you highlighted are very good, but scammers always go for the trending places because that's where they know it's easier to find the naive ones. The ones you mentioned are outdated, but it's good for reminding people with such things because it keeps them on guard and prevents them from leaving things some things to the public.

Scammers are existing because there are still people that can be easily fool and do bite their offer. Thats why as long as there's a potential victim they will never stop taking advantage other people's weakness.

So to prevent ourselves becoming a victim of these scammers, use your common sense and be wise. Dont be fool for such a too good to be true offer, always check the sites and mails that you receive and verify if it is legit. We're the only one who can help ourselves thus if you are not careful you might really end up one of their target.

Victims are denial that they are been fooled by those scammers that's why majority of investors defend those scammers since they think that they are right and they can make them wealthy, we encounter this scenario for so many times and instead they listen if we corrected them we will get bashed and throw out since they all hail the scammers. If this scenarios will still continue provably we can still see more like this well be created since if there's lazy investors willing to give a shot on scam platforms the scammers are always alive snatching the hard earned money of the people.

Following the increase in this, it is important and necessary to avoid this by;

N/B: Be responsible and protect yourself from being scammed!!!!!!

Invest in knowledge and wisdom first which is why I agree with your 1st statement " If it's too good to be true, it's not true".Nothing is free in this world and there's nothing such as easy money so always doubt whenever people talk about something like this. Always think about the consequence of your action before you decide what you'll do.

Greed is one of the biggest factors that would cause someone even to be scammed. There are some coins in the market that have the only aim of scamming people. They first seem like a promising project and the price starts increasing a lot. People who are able to control themselves sell their coins before getting caught by scammers. But the other people who are greedy wait for more and more. After some time, scammers cause the price to go down to a very low level and these people lose nearly everything they invested into the coin.

it's true that there are beginners and some who are quite experienced but actually in choosing investors, both beginners and experienced, I don't think there is a problem with this because now there are several options for choosing investments so that we avoid fraud, for example choosing investments which are really tested like bitcoin or maybe in altcoins like eth and coins that have really good fundamentals.
besides that we can see a list of ranks from CMC because there are 10 CMC ranks and there can be used as investment material.
which becomes dangerous when there are scammers who offer bogus investments with illogical lure in profits, followed by greedy human nature and believes in it which results in losses for these investors.
I think both beginners and pros as long as they follow things according to the existing flow will not be deceived and there will be no problems in investing and don't bother in choosing it as long as they read a lot and participate in discussion forums like this.

Invest in knowledge and wisdom first which is why I agree with your 1st statement " If it's too good to be true, it's not true".Nothing is free in this world and there's nothing such as easy money so always doubt whenever people talk about something like this. Always think about the consequence of your action before you decide what you'll do.

Emotion is the top most priority to be kept in check to avoid getting scammed.

People in dire need are the most susceptible to be scammed as they are the ones who are looking for that "miracle" to happen, and somehow there is this "you're the 100,000th to visit this page".

And people in this situation has their mind to not function as a calm person would do.

Following the increase in this, it is important and necessary to avoid this by;

These things just require common sense, but I don't get why some people are still falling into it. I guess common sense isn't really that common, huh?

If you have assets in your phones and computers, you should do all the best way possible to keep it safe from hacking, phishing, and fraudulent activities. By doing those, your assets will not be compromised. I notice there are really just gullible people out there that easily believe anything they are offered with. I've read so many posts regarding being scammed and being hacked, and they all have a common denominator - falling into too good to be true scheme and not being careful enough to check what they are clicking. As much as I don't want to victim blame, I can't help but do it since most of them do not really learn their lesson well from the experience of other people and through the warning signs given to them. I just hope there would be no more people to fall victim to these evil scammers and hackers. Secure your funds well and always be extra careful.

For those scammers and hackers out there stealing the hard-earned assets of innocent people, remember that all of the things that you have stolen, you will pay tenfolds more. Karma is a bitch. All of you evil people taking advantage of the good ones can choke.

Even if it's not online like emails and links you can still get scammed. I had a friend who worked at a forging company for 10 years. (To give you an idea here's an example https://astforgetech.com/ (https://astforgetech.com/)) So obviously his work isn't something you'll learn in a snap, it takes years to perfect his craft. And he gets paid big time $$$.

Anyway, his girlfriend for 3 years (and to be honest I didn't like that girl) knew that my friend was a dinosaur when it comes to this stuff so she introduced crypto to him. Since my friend was "sooooo in love" and not an inch of doubt he allowed her to create an account on his behalf. First few months she was active in reporting how it's going and so on, showing this and this. Then my friend and I had a conversation I think it was in May, I told him about my coins how it's going, told him that I had to pull out since the market is so unstable and I don't have time to watch it. He was surprised cause his girlfriend was saying all the good stuff when he asks for it. When he checked their account all of it was gone and when he confronted his girlfriend, no response (even blocked him) nothing. So his years of saving = gone :(

So moral of the story, get to know how the market works before investing. And when you invest, always do your research and be hands-on.

Nice write up which had enlighten me more on the various ways scammers use to scam people. I think there are more to this especially when it comes to cryptocurrency market. A scammer can decide to create fake NFT of a reputable token or developers and decides to sell it to investors who might not be aware of what they are buying. Good research should be made before buying any coin.

Scammers nowadays have learned to manipulate with everything. It’s quit hard to protect from really good hacker, probably even impossible. They know ways to hack accounts (use different programs, viruses, spying worms).  What might give a little chance to protect ourselves from them: never to click doubtful references, to think of complex passwords, to have two e-mails (working and personal), two phone numbers (working and personal), additional comp without internet connection (where you can keep in safe all significant information). And, of course, emotions. We need to control them because most of mistakes people make on emotions. I know some stories when traders received suspicious massage on e-mail with suspicious reference and on emotion click that reference and lose their wallets. Such stories sound for me like fantastic but I understand that this is a sad reality.

No need to "wind up" the situation! First, you need to understand that there are, in fact, 2 options to get your data:
- technological "holes" in the OS, browser, ....
- illogical behavior of a user who is aware of the risks or does not spare his assets.

I will repeat once again a simple set of rules that will minimize your risks by almost 99.9%.

1. Physically separate your main workplace (where you have mail, forums), a site with wallets, a site with mining, etc. At the main workplace, never store logins and passwords from accounts associated with cryptocurrencies (exchanges, google accounts, etc. .NS.)
2. Do not use the same logins and passwords on these different systems, and use complex passwords (at least 12-14 characters).
3. For exchanges, get a separate card for your mobile phone, do not use it anywhere, only for 2FA on exchanges.
4. At the workplace Use antivirus, use online access to GMAIL, update the system, antivirus, applications!
5. On the site where there are wallets - do not use ANYTHING other than wallets.
6. Pre-check wallets in a "sandbox" or on an isolated virtual machine (install and let it work for 2-4 weeks, during this time, as a rule, "bookmarks" are detected)
7. No games, porn sites, "click and get $ 100", sites for "adults", "sites with software and key generators", etc. on any of your devices ...
8. Any letter that arouses suspicion at least a little, or without means of authenticity confirmation - it is better to postpone it, send it to antivirus companies, and go on your own to the site from which the message was allegedly sent to you. For example, if a letter arrives from binance but there is no security code, be sure to add it to spam and send it to antivirus companies for research. Follow the direct link to the site - and if you were sent a message, then a copy of it will be in your notifications about some event.

I can add more rules, but these are already enough to minimize risks

Some really good ways are mentioned in OP.

I would add one small point from my side.

Always use a different email for exchanges, gambling sites while using a temporary email for airdrops and other tasks where the likelihood of getting spam emails is higher.

I always use a different email for all these airdrops, giveaways, promotional sites, etc because any of them might turn scam later and send phishing emails or even sell the data to another spammer.

The losses that these scammers are get from a traders or investors are not tolerable some of those victim take it seriously that also causes serious problem to those victims. In my case I do always check the site links and in my fear of getting scam I used to be very careful in every links or actions that I may take.

We must updatees anti-virus, this is the most important thing if we actively use a PC. This is my experience some time ago when the computer I used for bitcoin transactions had a strange experience, when I copy the bitcoin or ethereum address then when I paste the address it changes, it looks simple but if this happens then canceling the transaction is better.

Just to add on the extensive list that you created, never fall for projects that offer ridiculously high rates in a short amount of return, AKA "ponzi-schemes." I have seen lots of newbies who got attracted by the interest rates that ponzi-schemes offer and they usually attract people who are not that knowledgeable on how the scam works.

Another thing, make sure that before you try a gambling website or invest in a certain project, always check their domain on whether there website is currently registered or if they are hosting it for free. It is also imperative to know on when their website was created and if such contained all the necessary information about their project. In this way, one can have a clear idea about the project whether if it is a scam or not.

Don't trust strangers easily. Be prepared for your friends. The corresponding understanding must also be done before investing in the project. Don't invest because of affection.
Just don't put your trust in anyone because your friends can also betray you. Many people nowadays believe that if we talk about money, your friends will be your worst enemy because you trusted them. I read about and witnessed many people being duped by their friends. Because there is money involved, it is best not to fully trust people, regardless of who they are.

I often see this happen, after the wallet is connected the assets in the wallet are sent automatically. this usually happens to airdrop hunters who carelessly get their wallets connected to scam sites. if you want to do that you should use a new wallet or a wallet that does not have assets to avoid things that we don't want.

Also, some scammers use other tactics to gain control over their target,
   1. Sending emails with a fake contest-winning message and they will want to know your details Also, they will take you to their phishing site, once you click on their site link they will take control of your device or browser.
   2. Just send blank mail with an attached file or doc.  Never open such docs or fake files from unknown or suspicious emails.
   3. Sometimes scammers mail you sharing an emotional story with you and they will ask for your help, but it is a trap for them to access your data.
   4. Do not join any airdrop/event sent to you from any unauthorized site or unknown email address.

The more we are concerned about this problem, the more they are using new methods to deceive people.  So we must always be aware of our online life and personal data that can be used to harm us or cause losses.

for the actual method, these scammers only use the same method and nothing has changed, because for now the methods used by these scammers are almost the same as you said, even I think for all countries the technique is like that (almost the same ).
the problem is the ignorance of many people, especially those who are really laymen and do not know that this is a fraud because until now there are still many who do not know the techniques and methods used by fraudsters to trick their victims.
maybe I think if as long as we can still tell it or remind people who are new about all forms of fraud that often occur so that people around us are more alert and not easy to be fooled by this kind of thing.

Dont make any attempts because whenever you dont really expect something then all of those who do try to message you does really have some bad intent which you should really be putting it up on auto ignore.

On this way you would really be saving up your ass on getting scammed because people do easily get hooked whenever they do been sent out some good offers or returns which do really poke up someones interest.

Dont be greedy and be aware or at least be having that common sense because this is where people do really lack off on some time.

Never share your seed phrase or private key while using DEX. If a DEX wants your seed phrase or private key, then you have visited the fake site.
These days we often received some fake tokens in our wallet. Don't try to swap it. Because hackers are sending these to your wallet and when you swap them, other tokens will be sent from your wallet.

That's basically screening everyone who goes into your life but it's very effective because anyone who contacts usually needs something from you. So if anyone you don't know sends a message, don't let your guard down. You'd be more comfortable if you are the ones who contact them but still don't let your guard down. Scammers today make their pages attractive to newbies.

Its normal human nature to be greedy sometimes especially if we don't know on the things we need to do, maybe the best solution to avoid getting broke for getting scam is to avoid using any amount which is not on your hand since if you borrow or sell something to use it for capital on what or where you are going to then for sure you will not get pressured if things will go slow or bad incident will come to our side and if we can afford to lose the money we put on for sure we will not get stress and feel not greedy to take what we already lose.

The amount of online scams did increased starting last year. My bank has increased the amount of advisory they send out, apparently some people fall for the phishers. Personally I just don't open emails except the one labelled for my SoA and I have filters for those. If a mail saying it's the bill comes in and it's not tagged, I'm not opening it.

Now to the good old social scams, one word, DON'T BE GREEDY. Many were falling for it coz let's face it, the times are tough but at least use your common sense. For example, they're just asking you to register and they give you free tokens but you can only cash that out after you reach a certain amount, which you get by asking more people to register, what do you think that is huh? There's no free lunch these days, especially from strangers.

actually when it happens when there are people who offer a high enough profit and make us rich, logically it is unacceptable. if this is true, it will serve as one of the options to make us billionaires, why should they bother looking for strangers to offer because they also have family, relatives and maybe even friends.
this is completely incomprehensible to me, and what makes it even more strange is that so many people still believe in this kind of thing.

I'm not denying it. It caused me pain when I saw the ad on Coingecko that the bitcoin.org website had been attacked by hackers. Raising $ 17,000 under the classic promise of doubling the investment.

This scam tactic is the most common one that never seems to end.
Our commitment is to alert people and educate them on how not to be scammed.

Thank you very much for sharing. Since this is a Bitcoin forum, I would like to say a few points how to avoid being deceived in the blockchain.

1. If you have the ability, it is best to understand the code, which is the core of all blockchain projects.
2. The official website of the project is an important indicator. A high-quality official website is more trustworthy than a Twitter with many fans.
3. Learn to check the number of currency holding addresses and positions on the website, which can help you better avoid Ponzi schemes.

I think forgot to add the word greed to your context. Greediness is actually what led most investors to fall into scam.

Sometimes it's not greediness that cause most of scams out there. The number one thing that accounts for fraud is been ignorant and exposure, if you are misinformed about that thing that is tending and you decide to get on board, you are likely do the opposite or may be contacted by people who take advantage of others and when you don't know between right or left, that's the beginning of a new story.
Everyone need to be guided on how to safely walk out of scammers trapped, it will reduce the rate of fraud and scams.

Never ever share your information to anyone.
There are scammers and hackers that has their surveillance on you if they're targeting you.

The information that you spread online and posts on social media platforms, they can use it against you especially those important personal details that must be kept in private.

Uses best wallets. Before puting an investment makesure no frauds no scammed take a good information about. And learn more about bitcoin more knowledge.
And avoid those people that are trying to make you feel comfortable that are saying can grow you more bitcoins.

sounds harsh, but it seems to be true.
actually when it happens when there are people who offer a high enough profit and make us rich, logically it is unacceptable. if this is true, it will serve as one of the options to make us billionaires, why should they bother looking for strangers to offer because they also have family, relatives and maybe even friends.
this is completely incomprehensible to me, and what makes it even more strange is that so many people still believe in this kind of thing.
That is the truth behind those attractive and promising words, most and usually, all of them are a scam trick which we have to be careful enough. Their targets are those who come innocents and greedy people, they definitely had to win and find success as many people are still leaving that kind of attitude.

To ignore them is the best way to stop such scamming activities. We all need money but that kind of colorful word is something out of the reality which I think it was pretty obvious to understand. I really don't understand why many people still become a victim to this.
what I'm confused about here is that basically the way they do it is actually the same and the mainstrea is between one and the other but there are still many people who are deceived by things like this.
whether the person who was the victim of the scam never read things like this or maybe never saw news or content related to this kind of thing.
even though if traced, these fraudulent matters are very often exposed both on social media and on several other platforms.
should have when they were offered something that promised such a huge profit they would have realized that such a thing was impossible. but it may come back again, greed always reigns.

Sad, true, but they are willing to take the risk.

Ignorance + Greed = Scammed.

These two things would always been together because even you do say that you dont have an idea but you do have at least some common sense because easy money doesnt really exist on this world
which means its just normal that you would really be on doubt if you are aware on how the hell that big profits are possible?

You would really be having a question on your mind even you do lack experience or knowledge but at least you do realize on what are the things are happening around.

In general, keeping away from strangers who give big offers is the best solution, nothing else. The more we got in touch with them, talk with them, the more likely it drags us and become their victim. We should have to bring aside money but focus on what might be their intention of getting close to us. Thus, if we keep that ignorance and being a fool, we surely know what will happen to us or just to realize after.

It is currently easier to distinguish projects that are scam or not, as well as various programs that are scam or legit.
But unfortunately there are still many people who are victims of scams. And most of them are Newbies, especially those who are greedy and want to get multiple profits easily and quickly.

For the SCAMS project itself, we must analyze starting from WP, teams mainly, project realization, and various other aspects. Sometimes the project is like "Too Good To Be True" also needs to be watched out.

what the conclusion here means is to return to the greed of people, especially beginners and their greed is not based on seeing a source or not wanting to learn something properly and not wanting to know the process.
this can not be changed as long as the new people do not change their way of thinking. because the mindset is that sometimes most people think that crypto is a very easy land to get money but without knowing what the process is like. and maybe not even think about and don't want to know what the process is like for sure they always see profit, that's all.

Following the increase in this, it is important and necessary to avoid this by;

You can be scammed in so many ways and credit card fraud happens so often that no single guide can help you avoid it. Even the sophisticated software they send in your spam or spam emails. you need to be careful not to click on it will make you a victim of scam hackers.

They're authenticated applications that help you protect your valid informations from being hacked, download them and reduce your chances of being scammed..
Also, do not be fast to click on links shared to you, take your time to ask questions about the links before accessing them.

Lastly, limit yourself to the number of POS you use, so with that you can easily trace which is responsible for any act.

Avoid being greedy to protect yourself from deception there is no substitute for awareness to avoid cheating if you want to do any business or transaction you have to do good research on the sites because, the main goal of fraudsters is to embezzle money. If there is written evidence and witness in any matter, it can be proved very easily no one can be given or trusted during an unfamiliar site fraudsters work very cleverly and cunningly. The most important thing is to keep yourself safe at all times.

The most important method not to fall for a scam is to trust your own gut feeling. If something seems too good to be true then it's probably a scam. Also if your gut feeling tells you something is out of place or risky, get reassurance. Dont ever let yourself be put in a situation you don't want to be in and don't let anyone gas light you into doing something you don't want to. I've sent so many scammers running by calling them out on their 🐂 💩...

Two simple steps will protect you from most scams, common sense and due diligence, if someone is promising huge returns in exchange from your money then most likely that is a scam, but people get greedy and they want to believe they can make a fortune without lifting a finger and this is simple not possible, now some scammers are smarter and they make everything seem more believable, that is when due diligence will save you as scammers cannot completely cover their tracks and if you look hard enough you will find something that is not right with the project.

Scammers will always be everywhere especially now that everything is accessible through the internet. As technology advances, scammers are also getting techier and would always find ways to fool people. If they're getting smarter these days, we should be wiser than them. They have different strategies to fool people but we have to be skeptical and just think before we click.

If we all agree on this, we will be wiser. Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, and they are increasingly employing important people. They strategize a lot more now than they did previously, and they use a lot of tools. I'm both astonished and terrified since they're always changing. We should conduct research in order to gather expertise in order to combat this scammer, and we should be extremely cautious.

Yeah Scammers have started to function as an organisation/group. This will make people easily believe in them and loss our hard earned money. Sometimes because of the scammers we're in a situation to doubt even the trusted service providers. Myself had few experiences doubting the legit service providers. One incident happened in the recent days. Myself requested details for a brand's franchise. The enquiry call came and I explained all my ability. Later my mind thought this is someone else and not the real representative and started recording all conversation and made an enquiry with the company itself. There they confirmed it is their representative and gave details about the employee and his id and made him talk with me.

Antivirus software might help in some cases but it is not wise for cryptocurrency folks to blindly rely on it because it sometimes can't detect some sneaky sophisticated malware. Moreover, if it can't detect something, it can't prevent you from clicking on a malicious executable file that you receive via email. In order to avoid being scammed this way you obviously should not carelessly click on attachments even if you know who the senders are. What you should consider doing to minimize the number of malicious emails is to try to use a separate email for each service. Consider using services that provide disposable emails or aliases. For example, you register with one of your aliases, once you start to receive malicious emails you can disable or delete that alias completely. Not only does it give you some protection against spam and malware, but it also protects you in case there is a major data breach. If one of your pseudonyms becomes publicly known, you simply delete it and no longer care you will receive some malware on a leaked address.

and it looks like the scammers will not disappear anytime, they will always change the technique. so that what needs to be considered is that we must be careful about the security of personal assets, besides that do not place assets in one basket, because if we experience a disaster, all assets will be lost. therefore dividing it into several wallets would be wiser

The problem with antivirus software is that until they detect a piece of code as malicious and they find a way to nullify it then that code can do all the damage that it wants to a computer, and since the people behind that code most likely are looking for financial gain then this means that you are always at risk of installing something that eventually leads you to lose your coins, this is why I recommend those people that cannot secure their computer to get a hardware wallet and forget about those issues.

AV's are just second layer of security and whats the main one? Its up on your own common sense and awareness about potential viruses and malwares. If you do have the habit on downloading recklessly then most likely

you would really be ending up on unfortunate conditions due to being hacked because of downloading malware and viruses.I have tried out back in the past that i dont have Antiviruses but did turns out that im still

safe despite of that condition which do proves out that if you arent that careless then you would really be saving up your ass on these conditions.

1. Pray to God for you not to be a Victim
I have to disagree on this one, it is not actually necessary to pray to God so you won't be a victim of  scams. Trading uses talents like skills and tactics in marketing. Praying won't help on this type of area. We all know that to be a good trader, you need to experience failures, so that next time you encountered scammers you'll know to handle and to avoid it because you knew how scammers act.

No one is bound to have no failures unless if you are really lucky. Every one of us needs experience to learn.
If you failed because of scams and lost all of your assets, it might be dissapointing but it is not the end. The next time you do it, you'll know what to do because you have learned from your mistakes. You may even become a good trader and achieved success in the near future.

Being smart and being aware of situations because even just knowing with the basics then you could eventually able to save up yourself on possible trouble.Just be sensible towards your actions
because if you are really that too careless or you do just let your greediness overcome or control you then you would really be ending up on having a bigger problem.
Scammers are always 1 step ahead when it comes to scammy ways but if we are really cautious then you wont really be most likely to be victimized.

That's the whole definition of god isn't it? I mean I am not a religious person myself and I understand where you are coming from because I do believe that god has nothing to do with this situation. However, if you are a religious person and pray to god constantly, then isn't the whole idea of god is that it helps you with everything? You get cancer, you pray to get healed, you lose someone you love, you pray for power to overcome that sadness, you are poor, you pray for more money, you are sad then you pray for happiness. What you want, think of it like "wishing" for something to happen and even preventing bad things as well.

Like your kid goes to school, you pray they come home safe, nothing happened so far but you pray that it will keep on not happening in the future as well. That is what god is to many people, I see where you are coming from, but if you try to understand where they are coming from them praying not to get scammed makes sense.

A very good point because now they are mostly doing things in groups, and we are facing some serious difficulties in this all I personally scammed, and I lost very big amount because they were really sharp and informative about situation where I was stuck, but I have this scam as lesson and now doing things much better with patients because in search of quick result we are really bringing ourselves in terrible situation which give serious after shock. a novice will not notice if it is a fake message. usually the message contains a sentence directing you to click on a link and it is a scam link, if you click on the link you can lose access to your main account. it is for this reason that when participating in an airdrop I usually don't use my primary email account. make sure to always update your anti-virus and always be careful because scammers always use different methods.

scammers are always looking for new ways to launch their actions, so we are forced to not easily trust new people we know on the internet.  other than that, don't be easily trapped and persuaded by the lure of scammers, keep using logic and don't be greedy.

Failures can happen anytime, just because you pray to God doesn't mean that you can avoid getting scammed. Praying does help if were talking about cures and stuff but still i don't think it can help you not getting scammed. We are bound to have failures in life because without mistakes we can never learn. It's the same in trading.

If you're gonna keep on praying down on your knees but did not apply any actions, then you're efforts will go to waste but if you're lucky enough you wouldn't get to be a victim. Some scammers out there are very skillful and i'm just being realistic. Those who are already knowlegeable in trading even got scammed because the scammers defeated them. Even some people who are very successful right now experienced failures in life because they take their mistakes as their lesson in life that leads them to success. You see, God hears our prayers but test us, for us to be more stronger in life. He is telling us that, if you want to get happy and successful you must pass this road full of failures to achieve your goal.

They strategize a lot more now than they did previously, and they use a lot of tools. I'm both astonished and terrified since they're always changing. We should conduct research in order to gather expertise in order to combat this scammer, and we should be extremely cautious.
Scams and these scammers will be around us until we have some good number of stupid peoples, so try to have your homework in better way for avoiding things like this.

Without being a stupid person before, a person won't learn. Being scammed is not just a negative thing but users who experience this now become knowledgeable and sharing their experience with those newbies. We can't really blame other people as they are new to this kind of attempt so rather calling them stupid, let's educate them unless even after several scammed experiences and not using their common sense, these people still believe in the unrealistic promise. Good luck to these people.

we must learn from the experiences of others or our own experiences so as not to be scammed. I think it takes concentration when something is not right so we can quickly notice it, negligence is usually what makes us fall into this trap

To make a short and brief ways to avoid dealing with those fraudulent scammers who tried to put us down.
Never entertain suspicious emails, and other telegram private messages came from unknown person with anonymous identity. Some of them recommends impossible roi on every investments that attracts us to be part of their team but in reality it's going to put you on their booby traps.
Yes think before you click. These days, almost everything are online due to pandemic so scammers will also go through online. With that we need to be extra careful. It is also important that we have the right knowledge on a certain thing before we make our decision especially if we will be using our own money like investments. Make reading a habit. Let us not easily believe in things that are too good to be true.

Days ago, due to an NFT game project, a great scam happened, which was very famous among lovers of these projects, but I think that those who fell for the scam the reason why they did it was due to lack of information, They are people who let themselves be carried away by the FOMO, and trust to stay in a whitelist, although staying in a whitelist is the right time to do the biggest and biggest investigation by all means, not just by reading the whitepaper , but searching through the networks everything, even here in the forum sometimes they make threads of them. That scam was called the crypto race.

scammers are always looking for new ways to launch their actions, so we are forced to not easily trust new people we know on the internet.  other than that, don't be easily trapped and persuaded by the lure of scammers, keep using logic and don't be greedy.

Since bitcoin has skyrocketed, I often receive emails that offer offers to invest with big profits, and they use the names of popular people on social media, of course this is a scammer's way to deceive us and it's better to ignore emails or offers that promise big profits that don't makes sense.
for experienced people like you, it might not be a problem even though there are many scam emails, because you already know the characteristics. but it will be different for those who are beginners with the many benefits that will be obtained so that they are tempted to follow it, and this is what will make them disappointed later

Avoid some facilitators who is asking for your personal details before they can impact you how to earn well in the community. Never you tell anybody about your location and your personal address that link to your wallet  because that is the easiest way scammers use to have access to many investors account and be scam. Stay away from those friends you don't really know who they are or where they came from in the forum because most of them are scammers but pretend to be a savior to people in the platform.

If we use a PC then the most important thing is to always update the antivirus, I use ESET and several times detect viruses and malicious programs that enter the PC via email or website links, that's the easiest way I do because I've lost 0.65 btc when I'm not careful transact so that the bitcoin address I want changed and until now still traumatized if I want to send bitcoin.

Without a doubt your first line of defense is your common sense, after all I understand if people need to install some software on their computers that may be unsafe but if they do so then do not install it in the same computer where you have your wallet, this is why I recommend a hardware wallet, hardware wallets are cheap and for such a small price they allow you to secure your coins to a degree that most people cannot reach on their own.

Unfortunately dumb people are everywhere around the world. It is not special to just one nation neither, we have so many stupid people in the world and the reasonable ones are trying to keep the world afloat and that seems to be minority right now, majority is stupid people. Which means is that there is a good chance that we are going to have billions upon billions lost in scamming because there are enough stupid people who are willing to do it.

I believe that most people who scam others are also stupid people as well, you need to see all these scammers, 90% of them are just "I am a Nigerian prince" level of idiot who tries to make some profit, and they end up not even scamming anyone or very few people. In the end we are talking about some people who are getting a lot of returns as the minority of the scamming world, they are the "smart" scammers which is rare as well just like how it is rare to find smart regular people as well.

There are a lot of dumb people in this world and funny enough, they can never go away as one cannot be smart all round. Mind you, even smart or educated people could be victims of scams too. All it takes is you placing your trust in the wrong person or project or perhaps, it was a relational thing to you. Conferring the trust you have one someone towards his or her patronage or Appreciation of a project and just like that, you have made yourself vulnerable to whatever scheme that is at play. One way to safety is doing your own investigation and ensure you stick to the rules of investment to minimise damage.

lol I don’t know how praying to “god” is going to do you any good when it comes to not getting scammed. The most important things is be carful with what you download, keep your passwords safe, and do your research! A lot of people I’ve seen get scammed simply didn’t do their research which was mainly not asking a financial professional for advice. There have been so many crypto invests I’ve warned people of who didn’t want to listen to a financial advisor like myself who told them to stay away, like with bitconnect for example.

If we are often online then we must always check the antivirus on the PC, currently there are too many malicious programs that can steal our data so antivirus updates are important, I use ESET32 and there is an automatic update service available, besides that if we open a site that related to data access such as MEW so be sure to type it manually.

Hmm, it's also useful for people who aren't particularly tech-savvy because it can detect malicious activity. However, I believe the best approach is to be cautious when clicking and installing software because we never know what will happen. Now the question is, how do we go about doing it? I would recommend doing some research and reading, as well as asking someone who is a bit of a techie. We should be aware of the internet's risks and security so that we can protect ourselves.

You are absolutely right, in my case when I operate with the MEW I always make sure to use only what is necessary, that is why it is always good and advisable to have the funds either in Binance or if they have it in a wallet, something well protected with all the necessary security fractions, some say that it is somewhat exaggerated, but I have discovered that through cookies many hackers reach our PCs and steal our information and this is something very common, if we do not have to remember the Ransonware things that it is now the easiest way to rob any person or business entity.

Anti virus has a role for someone to get scammed. It's about how you check your deals and the activity you do online. And it all should start from you that you have to check the files you download before proceeding.

Right because there are phishing websites that you might land if you're just typing it on search engines.

I'm unfamiliar with ESET32, I think in most cases an anti-virus software would provide such a service for the sake of the security of its clients/users. An anti-virus indeed helps us much nevertheless it doesn't prevent us from the entire scam, we still need to educate ourselves and are supposed to be aware of it every single time in order we don't fall into the trap.

We need to learn from those stories where actual people really suffer from those hackers. Having your fund safely stored in your trusted wallet is really important. In all aspect securing our money is very important, hackers are everywhere they can quickly penetrate if we give them the hint, if we put down our guards and relax with our security hackers will take all the time he has to suck our wallet or any important information that we have.

They can easily sell it out online without our knowledge. Be careful in anything that you deal with, make sure to increase your protections
by using good antivirus and extra layers for your securities.

Many techniques are used by fraudsters to steal our money, the best thing to avoid scams is to store cryptocurrencies in exchanges that implement KYC and activate 2FA which will create a high level of security by activating Google authenticator, so all transactions that occur must be verified with the pin provided by Google .

this may be a very good thing to do to increase the protection of the assets that we have so that they do not change hands easily.
but for now, the most common scammers are taking advantage of their carelessness and lack of knowledge about project monitoring so that they are required to pay to get something,
and of course things like this are still rife and not a few beginners are deceived by this kind of trick.
protection through Autchentichator is indeed very good but it must also be accompanied by our knowledge that is not too focused on greed and fake projects.

I really think the reason hardware wallets are not as popular as they should be is because people are cheap, they think they can obtain a software wallet for free and as such there is no point in getting a specific device that only does one thing, and while you may think this only happens to those that do not have a lot of money we have seen this happening to people with millions of dollars in bitcoin, so people like that which cannot use their common sense will lose their money sooner or later.

That is a terrible idea, never store you coins in exchanges, what happens if that exchange is hacked, you will loose your coins and the exchange will close down citing bankruptcy and then what you will do. If you check you will hear about exchanges every year and how can that be a good proposition. The only way to get away from fraudsters is never visit random sites or never fall for anyone claiming to multiple your coins and if you can get away from that there is nothing much to worry.

You mention about two situations but unfortunately there are at least million other methods on which fraudsters might be trying to scam us. Just being cautious on all occasions definitely will help anyone to stay safer against scammers. Usually scammers will try to exploit by inducing our greediness but when we are careful then we can easily avoid such situations.

These days scamming attempts through email and then in the name of online wallet services are becoming in too common for all crypto adapters (weekly once I'm getting one email at least in the name of blockchain.com wallet to verify my identity by providing my password and log-in string).

If they've seen a project that's too good to be true, they'll believe it and won't do action that will protect themselves. Instead of avoiding those, they're more becoming curious and wanting to know more because there's a huge money that's playing on their mind.

But little did they know, it's a trap by those project makers and that's the reason why many are always a victim of scam because they're too greedy.

Scammers are so advanced now-a-days that they try to convince you in anyway about their ideas so you may be influenced by them and make a quick step according to their planning.
They may take a lot of money from you or may hack your data. Both results in a great loss.
To avoid it the most important thing is to be aware of that the scammers always try to convince you by giving fake gifts of large amount. It nothing more than being stupid to believe on them.

Illiteracy is what makes people scammed. Why would you connect your wallet to untrusted websites? Only those who dont know anything about scammers do that. Another thing is that never give your phrase to anyone. No one in any legitimate project would ever ask for your keys. Those who give are just illiterate people who doesn't read, wreck less beings in other terms.

Yeah, its a good way to find a scam project. Team is a very important factor. Because scam projects always use fake photos of team members. Besides you can check the whitepaper and roadmap of a project. Plagiarized whitepaper is a good sign of fake project.

Common sense is the key but people are really making themselves dumb even it is already too obvious and just like on whats been said that people are neglecting the truth just because of their own greed.
We've been mainly recommending on making use of hardware wallets but people do really just simply neglect or ignore it out and when the time comes that they had been scammed or hacked
then that's the only time they do reconsider. Is this something surprising?

Most of time people do learn something when they had been scammed.
Most of the time, all of them wouldn't really care until losses would happen just because they had missed out on securing their coins and regrets do come in which is something typical on this market.

People wont learn until they had experienced unfortunate events and its true that hardware wallets is something that should really be considered out specially
if you do hold big amount of money.

Spending a few bucks wouldn't really hurt you out and people tends to be that lazy or doesn't really care at all.

We should be careful where we drop information about ourselves, especially things like our email: whenever you drop your email on the wrong site online, they're going to sell it to scammers who will then start sending mails to you. That’s why when you check your email most of the times you are always going to see mails that are delivered in your spam inbox, that’s because your email might have been dropped on the wrong site, and then it happens that hackers or scammers have stolen it from that website and now sending messages to you to see if you’re going to fall into their trap.

So, people should be careful what kind of information they are giving out. Sometimes it’s best to have a separate email for doing all those sign-ups.

I'm unfamiliar with ESET32, I think in most cases an anti-virus software would provide such a service for the sake of the security of its clients/users.
ESET is a very popular anti-virus. I've used it and upon researching, it's one of the best anti-viruses out there.

ESET,AVAST,MALWAREBYTES,NORTON etc.. There are lots to choose from but what suits out me the most is ESET.
So far on my experience ive been using these for how many years and my pc wasnt really been infected ever since.
Im aint saying 100% good since im not really a fan on clicking out random links and downloading something suspicious.

Not all antivirus could block out those possible threats thats why your own self awareness and common sense
will really be a good add up.

Following the increase in this, it is important and necessary to avoid this by;

We all have to stay on top of news and stay up to date with the latest sophisticated scams out there. As far as I know, scammers always change their ways to deceive new entrants into the market, they take advantage of the ignorance of many people to successfully execute acts of appropriating property. Currently, there are two types of scams that I want to mention, that is, they will lure you to click and a strange link and then break into the computer to get all the information on it, and the other is a scam. about buying and selling of cryptocurrencies they will create a website about cryptocurrencies and start selling them for no real value.

Yes I have heard about this also, a friend of mine was a victim of this. His identity is being copied and are using her name and image as bait to a foreign people especially in Aisa to extract money in a form of MOL points and it can be used to buy avatars and weapons to some online games in excange of cash.

Main point is, no one is safe from any form of scams or identity theft. We just have to make secure to never give our informations to anyone even friends who might use it illegaly, especially in social media.

There are lots of that in telegram specially when you are and admin to a legitimate project. Lots of new and uneducated investors are prone to these scams specially those who doesn't know about keeping your private keys nor phrases. These scammers can even create their own group and could even create a total fake website that is 80% similar to the original one. Just like Uniswap where I crosses this website also having uniswap in their address but seems fishy with their fonts and spellings. Never ever connect your wallet to these sites or you will lose all your funds in that wallet.

If we actively use email, we must always be vigilant and never click on unknown links, most scammers take advantage of malicious programs sent to emails even with the title of being a winner, claiming coins, reward bouties and so on.

Scammers are capable of paying someone to make things look legit. You have to go deeper aside from the white paper. Very important to know who's the developers and what are the capabilities that they've got before you throw your money and invest with the project, knowing all the grounds about the team will lessen the chance of getting scam.

Not totally removed the possibilities, but it will give you a good chance to earn from the project.

It's not easy now to find legitimate projects, because scammers are very serious about committing fraud. Scammers will do anything to make
projects look legitimate, including creating fake white papers. Therefore, to avoid being scammed, not only do we check the white paper,
but also investigate the track record of the project developer team. If any member of the team has had problems or cheats, it's clear to leave
the project. It is also very important for future projects to have a team of developers who are competent and experts in their fields. Then make
sure the project road map is clear and reasonable, lastly the purpose of the project is created, its use must be clear and reasonable too.
The inspection method that I have described does not guarantee 100% to avoid fraud, but at least maybe 90% can save us from falling victim to a scam.

you have to persevere in what needs to be done and you also have to check carefully if it's the right thing to do because of course it's not going to release money especially now that it's like chasing money and before you enter the digital currency and especially investments not all  investment is true, sometimes there is a real scam, of course, just be careful in these ways.

2. Through social media platforms

I hate this #2 until today! When I was a beginner in crypto, I lost more than $300 in a fake Telegram group for crypto tutorials! That was my first capital and it took me a lot of time to recover it because at that time I didn't know other ways to give me capital like participating in airdrops, bounties, and so on!

right, in analyzing a new project it is very important to know the track record of the developer so that we will be more valid in the analysis. if the track record is good, and the team has succeeded in several big projects before, then it is very likely that the project is also worth investing in, although we don't know the truth, and everything has risks

Greed has led so many people to falling a scam victim. Its so cruel how people are wanting to make millions without putting up a reasonable investment on an initiative and promising project.
To me the saddest part of all of this is that scammers are not that smart at all, they literally just ask money for their projects and people give them their money without thinking about it, it is as if people do not see the money they have in their wallets as real money and they take risks that they will not take otherwise if they could see that money in front of them in the form of cash, in fact this is a very common effect and it is why physical casinos will exchange your money for chips so you do not feel that you are using real money.

Yes, they trust those people easily without knowing what will happen. Because of their greediness, they look for quick money which lead them to being scammed. Sometimes they find where they invest their money which they can gain high return of the money they invested. Scammers also always find new ways to steal your money using cryptocurrency. One sure sign of a scam is anyone who says you have to pay by cryptocurrency. Of course, if you pay, there’s almost no way to get that money back. Which is what the scammers are counting on. So, Let's be aware of it and be careful always to avoid these.

If we are often online then we must always check the antivirus on the PC, currently there are too many malicious programs that can steal our data so antivirus updates are important, I use ESET32 and there is an automatic update service available, besides that if we open a site that related to data access such as MEW so be sure to type it manually.

Yes, computer security is very important, I have seen the case of several youtubers who have been victims of hacking of their MEW accounts, and I think it is due to the lack of antivirus, I think that Windows 10 does not have antivirus but a "Defender" that does that function, I do not know how the compatibility will be to install an antivirus with "Defender" active, however it would be good because the latest antivirus have the functionality of "Ransonware" protection and safe browsing through another tool of the same One of the most used is the 360 antivirus that is free and updates itself.

In a way it is natural that newbies make newbie mistakes as it is part of their nature, but at the same time it is so infuriating that such mistakes can be so easily avoided and yet the newbies decide to keep making those mistakes even after they have been scammed once, I would think that after being scammed a person will decide to do what they can so this does not happen again, but instead they try to earn money quickly again to regain the money they have lost only to be scammed yet again.

You shouldnt really tolerate this  actions because you've been thinking that you are a noob so  its normal to have mistakes which you can eventually able
to avoid on if you do really have that ample time on researching everything and when in doubt then there's a community which could help out.It is just a matter or being aware and sensible towards your actions and wont really be rushing up on things just because you dont know on how things works or moves. Mistakes cant really be avoided though but doesnt mean that you wouldnt learn specially if you had experienced it even once.

crime occurs because there is opportunity and desire, in other words fraud is not only caused by greed but also negligence and ignorance. Knowing the risks of investing in bitcoin is not the only thing potential new investors should know, but they should also know how to store assets safely and stay away from obscure sites.

1. Avoid strangers sending you PM or seeking for your attention, no one wants to help without wanting something in return
2. If you want to buy any coins or token make sure you go through coinmarketcap and copy the projects smart contract, this is what you will use on uniswap, pancake swap and others
3. Avoid connecting your wallet to unknown websites
4. Nothing comes for free, only run after what you worked for

Scams are now increasingly active and massive, the trick that makes us often complacent because we think it's not a scam is that they send tokens to our wallet, when we see the address contract and then open their website they will suggest swapping with a connection to the wallet and this is very dangerous because of the way they cheat and take the private key.

Wow, the truth is, I did not know that modality, so it means that the ways of scamming are making them more and more credible, the truth is very difficult to open the site and change like this, first I would go to look for the contract to see if in reality It exists, but there is another variant, if it is in the ETH network, it is even more difficult, it would have to be in the BSC network because the fees are really something exorbitant, and metamax has some security when you go to do the swap, if we enter through poocoin You can see at once if the chart is a scam currency or not, that's the good thing about the contracts and seeing where they are listed, and the other option is searching for it through tradingview.
