Title: My crypto lessons in 2021
Post by: Ceyflix-Rez on December 10, 2021, 05:22:51 PM
2021 have bring so much growth to millions of people around the world I'm glad to have believe in this new technology called crypto and I'm sure as time goes on I will eventually get better at my crypto investment skills, I made more money than I lost but

1. Still I ended losing more money than I made, I was sitting on 30,000$ profit last month but I failed to take profit just because of 100k BTC rumour that looks like reality

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt

Well the race isn't over yet, one day I will look back and laugh hard at all this, stay safe

I would like to highlight most important crypto lesson of 2021 that is patience because I have missed out of coins like Shibu when I sold it for little profit or dump and it pumped 40x after I sold it, I would suggest you not to lose hope because those who have bought at peak in the past had to wait for years and they got good returns in 2021. No-one can predict crypto hence we cannot trust anyone including youtubers.

1. I'm also waiting for that time for bitcoin to reach $100k but you don't compromise your profit if you're already there. Take some profits for you to have that sweet moment that you've made in crypto. Whilst taking some profits, you'll just keep some since you've got plans for long term.

2. They do, I've watched a lot of them and only a few of them I trust when I watch.

3. Always remember that profit is a profit. No matter how much you've made and if you're happy with that, take it. Do not be greedy.

What happened to you as a result of FOMO, we often find investors who leave the market quickly because of the rumors that revolve around the currencies they invested, so one has to believe in his currencies and not believe everything he hears or sees.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly
Yes, I agree with you, and we have to do our research as well. There are thousands of people on YouTube who recommend investing in certain currencies, but it is certainly just expectations, nothing more because they don't know what will happen tomorrow in the crypto market.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
Yes, you must follow your heart, follow your analyzes and research, follow the words of experts, and not rush to make a decision to sell, but you must hold your coins and sell them at the right time without being greedy.

The question about your profit.

Did you lose all of your money or not? I don't think the guy who can profit 30,000$, losing the profit all the way without getting any profit at all. Even you are in the loss, should be there has some money left from the profit. If really you are losing all the profit, then you are greedy as f*ck just like a gambler people. One single rules for every trader, you should accept any kind of profit and ended the section with profit.

Good trader not based on how much money they're mad, but always ended the section with profit no matter how much he was made.

that's why there is a term "don't be greedy" but don't regret what you didn't do in the past ,price predictions of reaching 100K are not easy to achieve when many whales are already grinning when on price has reaches 70K probably waiting for time to dump and get their annual profit ,don't easily believe people who claim to be "he's an analytical expert" maybe it's a trap ! expectations don't always match to be reality

Let me understand are you using Bitcoin forecast to equate it to what you invested in and lost, or did you actually invest in bitcoin it self feeling it would reach 100k$ and hasn't? If latter is your case then I would say you haven't learnt anything, you can t count your investment in Bitcoin as a loss just because it hasn't reached the level of amount you imagined it to be, so I advice you do more research on Bitcoin and crypto-currency and learn to be patient.

Yeah rumors. You should get used to any forms of rumors or even humors in crypto, but don't let that decide your investment. I can still remember those days when people were speculating for Bitcoin to go below 20k when it was just around 40k-ish.
People are exaggerated, ya know. Price just took a dip and everyone in social media suddenly became a crypto expert. /s.

No matter how much you are sure about a project's potential growth is always remove your seed money when you have the chance. The Crypto market is volatile and there is no actual support or resistance for a token price. Price can go to 100$ even touch zero overnight. So Always remove your initial investment and play with your profits. Because in the end, you won't lose anything at least.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly
Most of those YouTubers are paid marketing agents of those projects. New project shills their project with aggressive marketing strategy through youtube. I saw very few YouTubers who are really doing something for their community not for themselves.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
You should not follow your heart when trading. Because emotion is the most dangerous thing for a trader. It could lead you to a disaster. So always rely on your knowledge and research. Try to understand the market sentiments and act according to that.

talking about $100k it will definitely happen but the time is not sure when it will happen because everyone can only speculate and exaggerate this $100k.
for other things, maybe a lot of people have said that that we can't believe wholeheartedly with speculators.
they are just like us who can only speculate regardless of whether it is true or not that is how the market moves and decides because they also don't know about it.
Speculation is done only to make conclusions and predict the movement of data and existing facts. It's not a certainty that it will happen

That's the reality. Also most of the crypto youtubers are recommending any projects if they got allocation for IDO or private sale. Basically they won't recommend until they got benefits from those. So best to make own strategy for projects rather than following youtubers.  ;)

Maybe in 10 years you will be very happy that you didn’t sell your bitcoins because of a small profit.
The bear market will come anyway, but the bull market is not over yet. You may have earned $ 30,000, but that does not mean that you would not have lost it on other investments.
This is usually the case with newbies.

This is how prediction works, and prediction may occur someday or not. And as long as you are still holding your Bitcoin, you still own them and your money is still there. So, don't panic if you have set or have your own target at a certain BTC price.
But maybe, to minimize the loss, you can set some target of price based on percentage, like step by step selling after getting profits.

be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions
Exactly, nobody knows about the price exactly that will happen. Once more, the prediction may really happen and may not also happen.
Just set a target price reliability, and once you believe in the prediction, it means that you have set the target based on higher risks.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
Not always about following your heart, but it is about how you are thinking and also considering based on fact and reality, analysis, and also your own research. Your analysis and consideration may be better for yourself, and other analyses can be one of your considerations to think about.

Never rely on any reviews or even on Youtube signal because that’s too risky and its good that you realized that learning on your own are more effective. 2021 has been a roller coaster for me as many mistakes and losses but still, I am able to survive with a good profit over all. Hope that everything that we’ve learned this year can help us to become better in the coming years with cryptocurrency, the journey will continue and losing money should not be the end for you.

You're not the only one having this struggles in crypto this year, if I'd decided to hold even more maybe profit goes out of my way and hold either Bitcoin or ethereum during the dip. However, chances couldn't figured out when you can't have the options to choose which is right. Every now and then all those shortcomings I had is my only inspiration to move forward and avoid any sort of depression after failures came to me this year.

You need to believe yourselves than be reliant on others especially these market and social influencers. It is an awakening scenario that we need to address immediately and most important is that we need not invest if we are not sure. Many were got trick and have a terrifying experience in here and that is sometimes because we are too greedy for money. Well, that seems not to regret it badly, it was your choice because if it is going to happen that it reaches $100k, you are also happy for that, I know. It is somehow we got caught by our own decision.

1. Still I ended losing more money than I made, I was sitting on 30,000$ profit last month but I failed to take profit just because of 100k BTC rumour that looks like reality
You must also remember this for yourself to take profit at least 50% from it. You didn't know how far the bullish market will be going on and that's why you need to allocate some of your profit to be used to buy back again when it was going to the bottom price.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly
Don't trust anyone in crypto. Crypto youtubers are only taking the advantage of you and others. They were shilling their coins that have bought at the dip price.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
You must have learned lots of lessons from there. You must not feel worry to take your profit. You will always have chance to make money from there. I hope that you will not do that again if you're not long term investors.

Those are not really lessons but the events that happened to you and that brought you to your current situation, however that does not mean that some lessons could not be learned from those events, even if those are lessons you should have learned from the beginning.

One of the most important lessons in this market is to not fall victim of FOMO since you will buy a coin for a high price and become the victim of FUD once things do not go your way.

Another lesson is to not rely on anyone else to make your trades for you, it is tempting to do this as it would cut down on the effort needed to trade the markets, but it is way better to do this by ourselves.

And finally you need to learn to take profits from the markets. Most traders are long term losers so even someone that is just making a little bit of money is doing better than the majority, and as long as you are part of the market and you have your capital intact then you could always improve your performance and become more profitable.

Seeing a profit of $30,000.00 doesn't mean you've made a profit of that amount so far you are yet to close the trade, I am sure that the amount keeps ranging and 30k is probably the highest point. If you have not closed a trade or lock your profit, then you can not say you've made a profit.
Lesson: Next time, learn to lock your profit no matter how small because a little profit is better than big loss.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly

Crypto YouTubers are useful in drawing your attention to a project and they are mostly paid to do that but it is your responsibility to research more on whatever project that is attractive to you.
Lesson: You should learn to take responsibility because you did not invest in every project promoted by a YouTuber, your role is the most important.

This happens because they are only carried away by incitement from others. They frantically bought fear of falling behind easily they entered the top position without taking into account the technical and fundamentals at Shiba. As a result, many suffered losses and began to panic in selling. So what I learned this year, even the year before is a factor of technical analysis, fundamentals and so that it is not easy to sell and buy in panic.

2. Actually, no need to be careful but just use your common sense. You should be vigilant about any things you encounter on the internet.

3. Agree with. But of course, follow your heart if there's a basis and not just you are feeling it.

As usual, crypto is something very risky but also very worthy if we really know the ways to make it.
And those three lessons are very worthy enough for everyone here. I also have that kind of experience, is supposed to hold for long term of some tokens and then the tokens are being dead coins.
And if you are talking about Bitcoin, you may not need to panic because Bitcoin is very worthy and valuable. I personally still believe that Bitcoin price will keep rising up this year or at least at the beginning of the next year. there is still a chance for Bitcoin to reach higher ATH again. Although it may not be at $100k, I think that the chance to be more than $70k is still here,
Well, I am not good at prediction, but I have that believe and I will still hold my Bitcoin. Because I am sure that Bitcoin will not be a dead coin even I must hold it for the long term. That is why everytime I am invetsing, it is better to use free money

I am going to develop in this sphere and expand my knowledge about crypto.

That is because greediness comes to you while you see the big profit in front of you and tempt you to hold for more because the price will still increase. But that is not happening instead, the price is down and back to the lower price. Just trust yourself and do not listen to others and take profit if you see the price increase so high because the chance will not always come shortly. If you can do that, I am sure you will have a chance to profit, but this experience teaches you a lot about when to take profit.

When something is not known how, then Youtube is currently the most sought after place or a (common) solution. Likewise with regard to understanding crypto. Youtubers who talk about crypto, I can say, don't 100% understand crypto, especially those who explain how to analyze and predict a coin or token that will provide profits.

Crypto was life changing for me because I made me a strong believer and it gave so much financial support during these hard times we are right now. I didn't had saving while working and having a job it did not put much impact much like crypto did into my life.  The best to way to succeed in this industry is to believe in your gutfeel and HODL gem project that will give financial freedom in the future.

1. Still I ended losing more money than I made, I was sitting on 30,000$ profit last month but I failed to take profit just because of 100k BTC rumour that looks like reality
That's quite unfortunate for you as a trader.
Well, we are all expecting for Bitcoin to go to $100,000 this year since we are in a bull run but it seems like it will not happen at least in the next few months but in the long term we know that it will reach that price. The recent correction makes Bitcoin to $100,000 unlikely and almost impossible at least for this year and possible in the 1st quarter of 2022.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly
TBH, I'm watching some of the crypto youtubers in the past not because I want to invest into the coins that they are saying but I just want to hear their opinions.
I'm not following them at that time since I already knew that some of these youtubers are being paid to advertise a specific coin. I will not give names of these youtubers but if you are browsing on youtube and watching some crypto influencers then you know some :). Just don't follow them and if you can't choose which coin to invest then just pick Bitcoin and don't overstress yourself.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
I've experienced this also.
I have holdings right now (around 5 digits) and I want to sell it at the peak of the market but I'm thinking of the same as you. I think the best thing to do is to just move on and plan on what will you do in the future. For me I just let it go, moved on and planned for what will I do in the future. After all, I still have extra cash in my pocket so that if the bear market happens then I will just dollar-cost averaging.

for the first one, I think it's just a matter of time, you just need to be patient, or you can cut your loss right now, and make you lose. rethink the strategy you made and try to adjust it to the current situation. otherwise try to move based on valid information, not based on speculation.

for the second, do not trust anyone regarding predictions, and speculations. You can take references from that, but you need to do your own research according to your standards. Don't be influenced by someone's words on YouTube or social media. do your own research.

for the third, follow your heart accompanied by valid research results regarding the information you get.

To prevent bigger losses in the future, you should think about the lowest price to sell the asset you own, for example, if you invest $1k, when the price is below $850, sell it and rethink the strategy you use. likewise if you make a profit on it.

Well the race isn't over yet, one day I will look back and laugh hard at all this, stay safe

learning is more important in crypto because without knowledge you will always end up losses after all, indeed that's the reason why people always faild nowadays wherein because they relies on what other people saying in the internet.. They're lazy seeking for specific information that's why until now as well they don't have progress when it comes investing or trading crypto.. Always remember to make research mate and always educate your self to prevent losses because that's the only key to succeed..

As long as you don't sell I think you are still okay, the problem we mostly have as an investor is thinking there will not be another uptrend again, we see the time as too long to wait, here I am in 2021 which I see as years ahead back in 2018, if I had held most of my coins of back in 2018 it would have been great but still can't complain,
The point is, don't fret over your supposed loss, it only becomes a loss when you sell out of panic, crypto is just getting started if you can better to engage in staking to accumulate more against the next bull market.

Yes, of course, it's very unfortunate that they don't want to try to learn or find information on their own even though nowadays we can easily learn on various platforms,
In addition, nowadays information can be said to be very open compared to before the internet,
I hope they will realize the importance of learning

I think you're still not in loss OP because you haven't sell your bitcoin. Maybe you are not yet in profits for now but sooner i know definitely you will. However, i would suggest even if you think you know well enough in crypto, but crypto itself especially if you are in trading, then you should keep learning all the time as the market is very volatile, there will be changes and price updates from time to time. And as much as possible, trust yourself because you know you are smart enough. In crypto, don't let other people deceive you just to think they are smarter than you.  If they really are, then they know they should keep it by themselves while taking advantage of the market.

No instant money brother. A $100,000 BTC price is possible but doesn't take shortcuts. Always stick to the closest thing that will happen. But if you are willing to hold for long, it's your decision.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly

They are not deceiving people but rather people deceiving themselves. It's you should be blamed for why you follow. They are just sharing commands and their actions and to follow them is based on your discretion.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt

Why did you sell? The only thing you are supposed to lose is a paper loss. Anyways since the selling was already made, then try to move on and come back with improved knowledge next time.

our experiences and all of you are different..there are those who have experience who gain a lot, especially those who have had the luck to learn the flow of crypto itself, and there are also those who lose by thinking too early because they are very afraid of movement.which began to decline and all assets began to be sold..and that's the flow of the crypto journey that I know, therefore all must have thoughts that are not in a hurry and need to be careful so they don't have more losses.

When I get a big profit by investing coins, I use that profit to buy new listed coins which turned out to be making me lose money, the important lesson in 2021 is that I will do a deep analysis before buying because I have lost about $1200 and hope to be back soon.
Well, new listings make our noses sensitive and sniff out huge space for profit but buried deep in that profit are the traps of developers as well as some who like to make money from manipulation, I do not contribute on the new projects listed but I do lose money on welcoming trends like Defi, NFT and Metaverse. There are quite a few typical successes on each trend but it's only been a few minutes that I'm quite demanding in terms of profit and discovery, greed has broken the emotional and analytical dimension, mistakenly choosing projects that are not really interesting

Cryptocurrencies are very vulnerable in price raiding. Because the price is very fast changing, we usually get carried away without predicting it first before making a decision. This causes many of us to gain more losses than profits. I usually follow a large telegram channel or get info from my friends who are great at analyzing. Following them let me know how the direction of cryptocurrency in the short to medium term.

If you fail this time, I think you can succeed in the next bull run so I hope you don't lose hope to sell your coins at the next ATH. You already get a lesson from the last one so I hope you can learn from your experience and know when to take profit. We never know when the party is over so while the profit still high, you should take it and leave the market. You should not take seriously Crypto Youtuber because they only promote or upload their video to attract many people to subscribe to their channel. In this matter, following your heart will be better because your heart will not lie to you.

A lot of that seems to be quite dangerous advice, if you were to ask me. First of all, if your coin goes down in value, one thing you never do is sell. Either you believe in your investment or you do not, flip flopping will lose you money. Secondly, never listen to "influencer" or other people selling "courses". I think its obvious why. Third, don't follow your heart when you trade. Learn technical analysis and make a strategy. Keep your emotions out of the game.

Most crypto expert also said the thins that we should learn in crypto investment is not about how we win in every investment or every trade, but we should learn about the money management that we could place in a trade or when we buy coin.
Losing value of investment is usual things happen in every investment instrument and we should be patient and make a great decision in the right time.

All forms of investment have a high level of risk, especially those related to crypto, you need basic knowledge in investing anywhere, you can't be forced to invest with a desire that doesn't involve knowledge, Bitcoin has good prospects from the many coins that exist today, don't worry and panic if you have it, because when the correction recovers bitcoin will return to normal at the previous price, the most important thing is to analyze and study every investment made, don't make a mistake, let alone panic when the market is experiencing a correction.

I would like to focus on what you stated that it is easy to understand the market conditions, indeed conditions are comprehensible but making predictions is another thing. In reference to what OP said, market predictions do not have assurance because it is really hard to do so. But, having patience for the fruition of the decisions made, based on research and educated moves, is what’s needed the most especially during the trying times.

I guess it is clear that in the long run Bitcoin keeps on breaking more and more records and gets to a new ATH, if you have the time for it, even if you bought at the previous ATH then you could still profit. Meanwhile, it is wise to invest into it some more when it is low so that you could make some more returns.

I have to say it is not an easy task, but it is not an impossible task neither, just need to find some more liquidity in order to get involved when it is low. Patience is the key here, there will be a new ATH, maybe it will be this month, maybe next, maybe spring or summer who knows when it will happen. All I know that it will eventually happen and if they can wait for it, then they could profit from it.

The especially second part of your suggestions makes more sense to newbie traders who look for advice from the famous Youtubers who have limited knowledge. The best part of investing is to sit tight and wait for the correct time, otherwise, the short-term market fluctuations will melt your whole balance faster than the blink of an eye.

And really set your goals: either be a long term or short term holder or be a trader.

You really don't need to listen to advices of those Youtubers, for all we know, they didn't even know how to trade or read or write TA. It's really better to go to the trading floor, if you lose money, at least you gain experience. If you win then good, continue with your trading strategy. Of course being a long term holder, you just have to time the market buy and sit tight. While short term or day trader, it will make things complicated, but if you are an individual who likes challenges then maybe that is the perfect fit for you.

Most of them are paid advertisements, most of them have no experience but because of the scripted message, it looks like it was good to be true and realistic. We can do listen to them but of course, it was on our end to assess if that is right or wrong. Since we have knowledge in trading, it was not difficult for us to know it coz these online and social media influencers will talk beautifully in order to attract people, that was their job and they don't care about us.

this is quite a number but indeed the market is currently in a bad state and the correction from bitcoin has put altcoins in a disadvantaged zone.
on the other hand this might be enough for you to wait for some time.
as long as your coins are good to hold and are not fake coins I feel your assets will return and maybe even more in the next few months

My best lesson in 2021 is not to buy coins carelessly, especially those that are top gainers, it's better to save on coins that have a strong reputation such as Cardano, Pancake Swap or Polygon and then use them for staking, with staking we can earn up to 75% and this is more safe.

Patience is essentially the most important quality of an investor. Do not be led by all sorts of news from social networks. Because by and large, no one can accurately guess the future situation on the market by 100%.
One of the major lessons I learnt since my involvement in cryptocurrencies is patience, this had been very difficult for me to handle at the initial stage as a newbie I was always in a haste to buy coins after reading some bitcoin related news, unknowingly  I was buying at the peak i.e high instead of buying at low due to impatient, however I did more research studies candlestick patterns with indicators such as RSI which indicates overbought and oversold zones of the price, above all I don't hurriedly enter trades now but patiently waiting for appropriate area to buy and sell.

Take a few benefits for you to have that sweet second that you have made in crypto. While taking a few benefits, you'll simply keep some since you have plans for long haul. They are very much like us who can just guess whether or not it is valid or not that is the manner by which the market moves and chooses in light of the fact that they likewise don't be familiar with it.

Crypto investment is not about how much you could made in profits in a short time but it's about an investment that could multiple the values in several years, so that's okay if you lose the value of your profit right now as long as you hold a strong fundamental coins you will be fine as long as you are not selling the coins that you are holding.
And about the crypto youtubers, there are a lot of crypto youtubers that got paid by the projects team to promote their crypto project and we have to do own analysis before investing.

Wrong thinking often occurs when the market goes red or when a lot of cryptocurrencies experience price drops and that's not what everyone wants, but if the thinking is still positive and patient, the results will also be as surprising as you have felt.

Deceivers will always attract us to invest something on a project or coin that they're endorsing for their own benefit and as years passed by, I learned to do my own research first instead of listening to streamers. I learned to think multiple times before investing this year not because I'm afraid to take the risks but I just don't want to regret my decisions this time. It's better to be sure than take lots of risks that we couldn't take in the end.

Better understanding with the project that you are aiming to invest in is the best way to lessen the chance of getting scam.

There are many endorsers who are more likely only minding their own interest,
they are not caring about those viewers and followers.

As long as they will gain, they will keep the project being advertised, and will continue
to promote.

Sometimes there are also profitable projects like yesterday's shiba inu project which has provided good news in the crypto world.

It would seem that there are those projects that did not inspire belief in insane growth, but they were able to show impossible indicators, the market is so chaotic that it would seem that the signal to change the trend is ignored, and the growth continues, and the correction is recouped for 10 days.

I always think many times before investing even though I know that if there is a profit there must be a risk that we must accept, especially now that many fraudulent projects rely on all means to gain investors' trust only for their personal interests, which in the end we are deceived.
Sometimes there are also profitable projects like yesterday's shiba inu project which has provided good news in the crypto world.
Shiba Inu is only profitable when there is hype and memecoin trend, and now the trend and hype has ended so Shiba Inu almost no one talks about it anymore and one day I'm sure Shiba Inu will lose its fans which makes itself sink to the lowest position in cryptocurrency, although in general he has been successful but not for the long term.

3. Follow your heart and nothing else cos if I've done that I would have pull my 30k profits and now I'm left with 5000$ in usdt
That surely will hurt, I can tell from experience. However, I've come to learn that whatever profit one makes shouldn't be counted as profit until one pulls it out from a trading platform. The best anyone could've done in your position would've been to half the profit by withdrawing part of it and letting the rest run. The number one killer in trading, after fear, is greed. Don't allow greed get the better part of you while at it. Determine your risk and greed level while trading.

As for me, what would've been a sad experience in 2021 was later resolved. I misplaced my copied out seedphrase for a wallet with enough cash in it. Luckily, I later stumbled onto where I wrote them down. It was a chanced thing and I'm glad I got that wallet back.

Everyone analyzes crypto price movements, in the content presented on YouTube should re-examine and make their own analysis. It is important for us to expand our knowledge of crypto and learn from various sources so as not to rely on one analysis. There we can still consider all trading techniques and what strategies are suitable for our trading. So it's important to consider everything we know.

2. be careful of Crypto YouTubers deceiving people to buy in cryptos where as they are simply predictions, most times crypto market can't be predicted correctly
It could be good for more people involved into cryptocurrency so cryptocurrency become well-known later. But sometimes those youtubers are just trying to bait more people for some ad-revenue as they don't explain deeper into cryptocurrency, they only explain the good things about crypto trading but they don't even explain a single problem about that where it's the most important one for me.

Well the race isn't over yet, one day I will look back and laugh hard at all this, stay safe
Hope you can recover from that losses, might you learn the lesson from that.

I can't tell you how many times I've read threads like this in the last 9-10 years. Exactly these three points are nothing new. Maybe for you, but many have already had this experience. I would like to briefly discuss the three points.

1) Never listen to any rumors! Also, one of the most important points in crypto investing is to have a cashout strategy. Many have an investing strategy, but very few have a strategy to cash out. Had you had such a strategy, you most likely would have come out with a good profit.

2) Forget Youtube Influencers! The vast majority have no plan. They are only interested in making a lot of money themselves. They always do on smart, but have no idea. In addition, they get extremely much money to promote any projects that are only shitcoins in the end. Best example was Bitconnect, which ruined many peoples life.

3) Exactly as explained in point 1. I wouldn't trust my heart, but rather set a cashout strategy that you stick to.

Can You Make Money With Cryptocurrency? Yes, you can make money with cryptocurrency. Given the inherent volatility of crypto assets, most involve a high degree of risk while others require domain knowledge or expertise. Trading cryptocurrencies is one of the answers to how to make money with cryptocurrency.

Yes, agree here Shiba is meme coin and very few peoples have some good profit which create hype about this and suddenly too much investment with rumours around about this all now suddenly price dropping very quickly and hype is also ended some good number of peoples already lost their big investments because when you invested in any meme coin with hype is around this happen.
A good lesson for newbies and greedy peoples, please do some search and have good knowledge before investing in any project because this crypto world is full of scammers those want your money in their own pockets, and they have too many ideas about this.

I agree with the second thing in your list. These youtubers bought these coins earlier than you and they will benefit if their videos goes viral. For me, the best thing that I've learned is almost the same with your no 2 but in different social media platform which is telegram. I was convinced by these pumps group and tried to cope up with them. Sadly I bought at the top then ended up losing a third of my money.

I learned that it's best to buy during a Bear market and hold or sell during a Bull market.
Cardano and Polkadot are basically Tron, Neo and Eos in 2017. These are not long term holds. Sell them at their peak.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are the safest coins.
Most NFTs are like the Tulips Mania because of their infinite supply.

Current market prices are going down and the opportunities are waiting for us on the corner. The ADA DOT NEO coins have huge potential if you have bought the mentioned altcoins when the prices are dirt cheap. Otherwise, it is big sadness to buy on the peak levels and expect a continuation of the trend after the huge green candles.

The crypto market crashes again, after previously starting to improve. Indeed, crypto prices are very volatile this year, starting from the beginning of
the year the crypto market slowly began to rise and the closer to the middle of the year the higher the increase. But near the end of the year crypto
prices continue to fall, for some people buying at peak prices, the decline in crypto prices is a bit frustrating. But we must be able to learn to be
patient, when the market is in a bad condition like now. Instead of stressing about when the market will recover, we should take advantage of
this price drop as an opportunity to buy some coins that are considered potential. The crypto movement throughout 2021 has taught us all a lot of
lessons, we can better understand how to make the right profit when investing in crypto.

Seems like that you have learned some valuable lessons.

I don't think that even though your P&L may suggest otherwise that you actually lost anything. In fact, you may have actually gained value in the process because of your maturation as an investor.

It is imperative that you stay the course as an investor and not get sucked into the hype. And there will always be hype.

Greed is big because if you can be greedy then you can see that there is nothing you can do, you see profit and you tend to hold on more because the price will go up now but that is not happening.  And don't listen to others but if you see that the price has gone up so much then make a profit because no chance doesn't come all the time.

I also want to take a lesson on crypto in 2021 when regrets come, all that is left is a lot of memories. I threw away old altcoins and even sold them when prices fell again, saw prices in 2021 skyrocket 10x even more, the profit I got was also small, if I still kept the old coins in my wallet today there will be a big triumph for me, crypto is not completely predictable only the market conditions can decide the price.
Being patient in crypto is always the best key to end up making profits in the future. Don't be affected with the current price as everything in crypto will always be temporary particularly when there is a correction phase so expect that there will be price decline that will certainly happen. But if you just focus on the positive things that will happen after the correction and grab the chance of buying while there is still correction, then you could have made huge profits after that. In crypto, i have learned to always trust on the investment you chose and stay focus on your goal.

Perhaps, not all have a good experience at the start, but instead, it was really a very challenging beginning that mostly had suffered losses. But despite all of these things like OP had, we even tried to make it right and correct our mistakes. However, that wasn't so easy as many thinks and that much more we feel in great disappointment and got negatively thinking.

when you want to trust a people, trust your close friend who expert on crypto.
Aside from that, you need to trust yourself first. Being confident of what you do is ideal since we are dealing money and so we have nothing to blame.

I learn lot from crypto field in 2021. Never in hurry in trading of crypto. It is better to take profit but if you want 10 or 20x then you have to wait for long term. Search about project before investing. I have made good amount of money in 2021 and I hoping for best in 2022. Crypto fluctuations are very high so we should understand every aspect of a crypto project. We can get huge profits or loss big amount of money in this industry so we remain cool and calm.

My best lesson in 2021 is not to buy coins carelessly, especially those that are top gainers, it's better to save on coins that have a strong reputation such as Cardano, Pancake Swap or Polygon and then use them for staking, with staking we can earn up to 75% and this is more safe.

I also used to do this mistake as i thought that if a coin is in top gainer list, it will continue to rise high as it has a lot of volume coming in. Unfortunately the coin stops going up as soon as I invest in the top gainers. Later i realized that we have to enter in the coin prior to is pump if we want to benefit from the price increase.

From the statement you wrote, I can conclude several points.  1. You don't always have to get big profits, I think small profits are better but always sustainable than ambitions to get big profits but end in defeat.  2. YouTubers who talk about crypto are only marketing, they are paid by the coin team to speak publicly with endorsed coins.  so before trusting youtuber advice you have to really do a personal analysis and detailed analysis

point number three is the key to all these problems, you should believe in yourself more than news that is not clear. for now $100k is a rumor because the price of bitcoin has not really reached that price, and no one knows when bitcoin will reach that price. if you want a long term investment and your heart says in the future the bitcoin price will actually reach $100k all you have to do now is hold on to the bitcoins you have and keep collecting bitcoins.

Quite bad, but like you have said – the race isn’t over yet, there will still come a time that the market is going to increase in value and you will be the one who is looking back at every experience you have had now and you would just laugh whenever you remember what happened.

The market has not gone down finally, it is still going to go up again in future, but I am not going to lie to you – this is very much likely to take a long time before you’d see the price go up again, unless maybe we might be seeing another increase in price this December? This is why it’s important to first of all know your target before talking about following what other people has to say.

your friend is an expert in predicting prices? in other words your friend is a professional trader?
a professional trader is usually able to control emotions well because professional traders are used to very volatile market situations. from this problem you can take a lesson if a trader should not have a greedy nature and must be able to control emotions well.

2021 brings a good direction for the future of cryptocurrencies, when the previous market was sluggish but after many world millionaires invested in cryptocurrencies the market continued to shine, the most important lesson in 2021 is that we must be patient and don't panic because we see prices drop, rest assured that the market will soon recover.
That suits what is happening now. Yes, its always a good move to stay patient and calm when the market is very unstable because if you let your emotions rule over your mind, it will only result into losses because of improper decisions. Aside from that, being greedy by not taking profits at that moment is certainly a wrong move because you will only miss another chance to make profits and end up seeing yourself facing losses instead. No matter how small the profits will be, learn to take it always as there will be no guarantees that the next price will still be profitable or not.

Yeah i'm agree that no one could experts about predicting price in crypto except they are the big whales who control the markets because they have a whale amount of crypto in their wallet.
Professional traders couldn't predict price but they are just experts on managing their assets and managing the risk in every decision that they made.
So controlling emotion is the best way to become a crypto millionaire instead of just predicting the price

The first time you came to Crypto I think you must have known about this scam for a long time and from all the news platforms you have collected various news, discussed all the news from different places.  Then you can get some idea about crypto by investing in something or working for free.  In that case it is up to you to do something without relying on anyone else or focusing on the news of any platform. It is always up to you to know how much you know or how much you have learned from it.  Possible here.

even fraud does not only occur through youtube media, even other social media also commit fraud through aidroub, bonuses and other prize draws, I see many  beginner are victims, from the survey I did, the most fraud I found was through aidroub and a bonty where they offer very tempting prizes but the results are nil, hopefully this will be an important lesson for facing 2022, hopefully we can all analyze everything related to crypto well, so that we all avoid all kinds of fraud in the name of crypto .

This year is not good for crypto like other year we see many dump in this year that's why we won't make good profit and also due to this dump alt session not come again in 2021

Those was just correction for another bullish rally, so try to take advantage of any hypes/trends which was going on. Thus portfolio will be increased/profitable, even correction was done. BTW, many users including me, took advantage of ongoing trends and made huge profit from those. So just DYOR and do more research on current trends/hypes when bullish season is going on with correction. ;)

On #2.  Most of those people are paid shills anyway.  If someone is pitching anything you should be weary.  Use that as a resource but not THE source you use to put money into things.

Another good lesson is to not go all in on a wierd position, if you are gonna buy some fridge coin, cost average up and down so that your risk isn't overly heavy on relying something to pump imedeately.

I have a different view, I think 2021 is the best year for all altcoins, because almost all altcoins have developed so fantastically that they can reach their highest price, although now the price is down again, I think this is a cycle and process for altcoins to grow even better, this decline is an opportunity for us to be able to buy some potential altcoins that are undergoing correction, such as BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, and DOT because these cryptocurrencies have a great opportunity to grow higher in the.

All of your mentioned coins are good to hold while the market still down. If you got extra spare, buying more will give
you good opportunities to earn decently. This correction though might extend and experienced more fall but if you have
good trust with your investment, holding and waiting will be beneficial to you.

This year was great, and it's not just a different view, it's a fact! Top coins, and many other coins, made their records, Bitcoin made a new ATH... and it's in terms of price, but I guess crypto is making progress in other aspects as well, definitely crypto is getting more popular every year... we have billionaires and the richest man in the world tweeting about alts!

And this is not the end... the crypto stories continue and I am sure there will be even better years than 2021!

looks like you should be able to analyze and take advantage of opportunities to invest in crypto well, because in my opinion 2021 is a very good time to profit from altcoins, because almost all altcoins are growing very well this year, and I suggest don miss the 2nd opportunity, the crypto market is currently experiencing a bearish, buy some altcoins that have great potential to be able to reap returns in 2022 future.

You missed nothing unless you made zero profits, if you sold your shiba inu very early it's because you already doubled your money, it's a smart move honestly because ask yourself this question, how many projects have became so good as shiba inu in the past months till date? Many meme coins tried to but no one was as good as shiba

Many lessons we can take in 2021, In the crypto world of course we always feel bitter or vice versa, and my most memorable experience is when choosing coins in investing and already making a profit but I did not wait a few more days so that I could not get a maximum of up to 10x of the results I got at that time, Of course this is the biggest regret I have ever felt this year, so now when investing I always rely on great patience so as not to experience the same thing.

The biggest lesson this year is don't believe BTC to reach $100k. I have lost much money because of believing this non-sense prediction. Accidentally, I buy BTC when the price was around $60k and still hold it now. Some altcoins I bought also decreased so much because of BTC trend. If there is no good news again about crypto, I think I cannot recover my losses this year. At that moment, I thought BTC really went to $100k since many people claimed it, sadly it was only a shit prediction. There are too many traps in crypto business, just believe in your own prediction.

Ended in losing money when trading is very normal, but at least we should also take some profits among the losses.
So far, I also lost traing but also take profits.
Btw my regret in trading is being too greedy. I really expect that a coin that I have can really rise up again at keast waiting for another $5 increase. But unfortunately after in several hours kater, the coins of the project was hacked and the price got down 3 times decrease. So sad, but I am stil waiting for another rise later.
Just don't be too greedy when we have reached certain target price because anything can happen

This is honestly a rookie mistake.

Always take profits when you can, especially if you are on leverage/not prepared to hold a position for eternity.

The markets will go up in the long run but it's impossible for it to go up continuously in the short term as well. That would constitute something of a real ponzi scheme.

If you think that you have to invest, don't procrastinate.

Sometimes, there's the instinct that we should sell or buy. It happened to me many times and I think that there's the same for the others.

But we really don't know if that gut of ours is accurate at most times.

Those predictions are not accurate to rely on. Its still best that you have your own analysis and understanding about Bitcoin to become aware if these predictions by some so called "experts" has a basis to believe in or not realistic to happen.

You have a mistake here for believing on them however as long as you're not selling your BTC it is still intact. Have patience to hold until you reach your desired amount to sell. IMO its not impossible for BTC to reach the $100k value but it will take time and we need a lot of patience.

Anyway my lesson for this year is to not forget to take profit at times and dont be impatient. Everything has its own perfect time.

Do you mean "shilling"?

Yeah, some of them are just paid to shill a certain coin, don't follow them blindly but instead, look for more resources to verify your analysis. It's not bad to listen to them actually, but at least just don't follow them blindly as they mostly will just lead you to loses, that's the reason why many newbies failed in crypto investing because they don't do much research before entering.

Not all roads are smooth in investing or trading crypto. The ups and downs of the crypto market are the main reason why many people fail. until here we must understand that understanding and learning well about the crypto world is very important because it can avoid the failure. giving in and giving up will only make us more feel guilty and confused so while we can still survive then do the best. believe it that behind all this crypto prices are going down there will be a crypto market that goes up.

Nearly spoke my heart. And if you are investing in an established or promising coin, don't sell for loss. Price fluctuations are wild, don't have a small stop loss. And don't sell all of it at once when you are in profit. Diversification is still the key. And it's generally beneficial to keep holding than hopping around different coins. Even if you are 100% sure about something, don't go all in. DEFI are nice but don't put all your money there. They might earn you good but they can go down pretty sharply.

One thing I have learned most from 2021 and that does not to love a project. When you love a project you will not take profits from it by thinking this is the next Shiba Inu. At the end, when the hype is gone you took a loss because of the price dump. Always remember we are here to make money from the market not keep them as an antic. Always book profit and move on to the new project.
Well, if we are just here to keep our coins forever, then we will never be in losses, and definitely never gain profits too. The only thing that we can make profits is to sell them at a good price, which means never sell in times of dumps wherein low prices means you will be at loss. I think its important to seize the moment everytime we see good chances to make profits, otherwise we will end up losing chances and losing our capital.

1. You wouldn't have lost anything if you hadn't sold your coins. You only lose when you sell. If you had kept holding your coins till $100k, you would likely be sitting at $60,000 profit.

2. The market can never be predicted. And most of those youtubers are used for shilling for shitcoins. And most of them spills out gibbrish.

3.That's the worst advice. You don't follow your heart when it comes to investment. You do your own analysis and think logically before making any move.

Similiar to my crypto lesson 2015/2016. Back then I bought a bunch of Ether for $0.92 each and sold them a year later for around $11 each. Made a ten-bagger and I thought I am a great investor and this was a good deal. Well, few months later the price was already >$100 and I bought some Ether back ;D I don't even want to think about the price today :D

I think 2021 is the best year since I got to know cryptocurrencies, I've known cryptocurrencies since 2013 and in 2021 the value of my assets increased dramatically, 2017 was indeed a very high increase but many altcoins died, the important lesson in 2021 is to always be optimistic and be patient to hold .

But there will be a year that will make something big later. So it's best to look forward to it and keep holding on to it. I can't wait to see all my assets go up so big and make me relax in old age.

You would be in loss only if you sell at the moment If you hold it I believe you will recover your losses.

The lesson in crypto that I learned in 2021 is to be patient, and don't panic. After a few years the price of cryptocurrencies fell I started to worry about a lot of losses. Therefore, after the price went up and I think it has granted me a profit, I immediately sold all the assets during this loss. However, after a while later, the price soared very high and I regret the decision I took.

As for intuition, you are right, in most cases, it works. And a very small percentage suggests otherwise. But I think this is the influence of the market itself. And all this, in my opinion, happens only because you need to learn to wait, especially if the project inspires confidence.

Waiting is necessary to see a good change because without waiting and being patient maybe the desired thing will not happen, even if it does happen someone will not be able to see it because he does not have the patience for it.

Every lesson give you success, as everyone knows BTC was growing and around $70000 and people still wait to sell off $100k but this will not happen in continuously, the market have bull and bearish trend always, so If you got good profit then sold your crypto and wait for a dip this rule can make you profit but if you wait for the high price of crypto then you will lose your profit so this lesson will give you success in future.

Many youtubers are involved in project promoters without any knowledge of verifying project reputation, projects that have been promoted end up with scammers but instead they have got paid as promoters, have indirectly trapped subscribers on scam projects. I no longer look for crypto project references on youtube but analyze them based on my knowledge and compare with the best crypto sites.

The influence of the latest news for the condition of cryptocurrencies has existed all this time so what needs to be seen is where the news source itself comes from so that everyone can judge whether the news is true or not, because there is a lot of Fud news that is completely unimportant to respond to.
It doesn't even matter if the source is true or not in the crypto world unfortunately. There are too many people who act as if the source matters a lot and then they end up getting run over by the masses. People just see good news and buy, see bad news and sell and that has been the case for years now.

I know that doesn't make too much sense and I still do not know why they do not calculate better before they react so quickly. Only guess I have is that trying to be early in trading, so if it is actually good then they would be buying before anyone else, and if it is actually bad then they would be selling before anyone else, that is the only guess I could make.

We know that this market does really need out some immediate reaction on what conditions or situations you might be into because price could make a U-turn in a blink of an eye that's why I couldn't really

blame out people to be that highly reactive nor make out decisions quickly no matter what because they do tend to get in and get out on fast pace manner before its too late.

One aim would be always be making on profits no matter what the things you should do as long you do able to hit your goal or target then that what matter most.

trading or invest crypto without a solid foundation or without knowledge is the same as gambling because you only use luck, and all you need to know luck only comes occasionally. If you have a solid foundation and use knowledge in crypto trading or investing of course you will not easily believe the assumptions or predictions that say the price of bitcoin will reach $100k even 1 million USD. as a trader or investor you have to be careful because nowadays many predictions are made without a solid basis and this can affect you and make your confidence in yourself less.

One of the tokens that I already have has drastically increased in price in early 2021 if only at that time I sold it I would have made a fairly large profit. But fortunately I still had time to take advantage, although not as big as the first time. The lesson I still remember is that not all altcoins will follow the Bitcoin trend, don't make it a classic benchmark that still exists today, although sometimes it's true.
