If your wallet is encrypted with a seed word or a private key (should had extract it when first time creating the wallet), then you don't need a password. Just use the seed/PK in another client and create another password.
But if you just have an app in your device, How you will sell it?

It's like you're selling free air for money. Mate, if you've forgotten the password of your wallet then try to remember it if it has a good amount remaining there. Or at least use your private key and import it.

Is there any amount of Ethereum on that wallet? because if none then this is a Shit idea selling the wallet when we have nothing to gain lol.

Imagine a lost wallet had been selling ? without any amount that will benefit the buyer?

we can create as many wallet we wanted for free so why need to Buy yours?

Even if it owns 50% of the total ETH supply, just having those addresses means nothing. You can even find more here (https://etherscan.io/accounts). I hope you understand my point.

@Op, Since you are talking about password, you need to be more specific. I'm reminded that ETH has several options to access if you are using MEW wallet, one of which is by importing the keystroke+pw file. Or you actually using a specific custodial wallet (email+pw).

By the way, what type of password are you referring to? How was the wallet created? Do you know that you can access it using a private key or seed phrase?

yeah, i have the address to it and i checked it myself dont worry.

The password is just a basic password that you type in to get access to it. I dont remember if you can use a private key, but im pretty sure you can i just dont remember it at all

That is nice, but you will forgive me if I don't take your word for it, you are the one selling the wallet after all. Do you have any concrete evidence to prove your claims?

LOL you must be joking about your statement. Your ethereum wallet can't be opened and why does someone need to buy your wallet if you can't even get your money?

You must remember your password and open your wallet and then you can sell your ethereum to the someone else. People will never try to buy encrypted wallet that can't be opened forever. That has become a useless thing for sure. Im sure that if you remember your wallet even you have sold it to the someone else and you will be taking back your ethereum from people who have bought it lol.

It's better to remember your password and sell your ethereum on exchange site.

If we can make a new wallet for free, why should we pay for your old wallet? Besides, if you can't access it, then what are you selling?

How fun is that? what are you selling?  where you forgot your wallet password. generally a ETH wallet provide private key for backup that wallet. and MEW wallet provide a key file. you you want to login your account you must have that file and you have to login your wallet to using your file and password. you just says you will sell your wallet but you didn't mention any details If you haven't mentioned anything here then what do you want to sell? Fucking joke  ???

He is trying to scam somebody into buying a wallet that isnt his.  Without password or seed…its not OPs wallet. 

He is trying to sell something he doesnt own or even control.  He found an address with 1500 eth in it and is testing to see who is foolish enough to try to buy it off him….but its not his.  Just like if you lose your seed/pw to your wallet …. its not yours becuase you cannot access it.  This guy never had $6,000,000 worth of eth..but he will certainly try to take some from anyone foolish enough to engage.

Its also why he is using a new account 5 days old.

You must think again. Buying this kind of address is very dangerous coz you will get access to his wallet but remember that he knows that as well. There's no gaurantee if you can know his password. You will be end waste your money for nothing and i do believe with this thing.


Escrow will not give guarantee. Selling locked wallet means selling nothing to others. The only problem is newbies are thinking if this is their opportunity to get more money easily from opening his wallet.

A wallet you forgot the password then what is the need of you selling it and how did you intend in selling it.

I guess he isn't joking because he is still selling the wallet up until now. It has been a year and it seems no one is interested in the offer. Did they think that the OP is only lying and he did not really lost his password? Brute forcing the wallet to access the funds can take a long time and before the buyer access the funds, the OP already moved them in another wallet.

If the OP is telling the truth, he better ask for a help on how to recover his password, I think there are people here that are expert about this but he only want to make sure that those people are trusted. It is possible to know by simply looking at their trust score. They might only ask for some donation or tip if the recovery is successful.

Wait a minute, What's the benefits if I bought your wallet. You didn't mention that what is in your wallet. What if you get rid of all your asset's after selling it.

That is a huge amount, If there's 1500 ETH on your wallet, why would you sell it? instead, recovering it? I would suggest finding a way to recover your secret phrase or keyphrase.
I wish you find a way how to get back access to your wallet if you are telling us the truth.
