Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment?I've been trading options on BTC for about three years now, and I've made significant gains, how does everyone invest?

For me, it's always a yes. As Bitcoin got the highest market cap in the crypto market now. But some people may advise you that if you will invest in Bitcoin, you may get a low ROI.
So yeah, it's still up to you. What my take here is, if you want low risk, you expect low reward too and opposite; high risk: high reward.

Well for ordinary investors like the rest of us, of course this is the best investment. I mean it's accessible for us as compare to let's say gold or stocks. You just have to go to an exchange deposit and buy and trade, that's it.

And as far as the returns is, we've seen it 1000% or higher returns for investors in the last 5 years. So that is a huge profit already, as compare to other commodities out there.

There is no best investment, BTC would be commodity speculation imo unless you have the ability to put it into usage and then its well arguable as investment.   Because so many of us are speculators on a very fast growing asset, the market price very often is volatile so to some people who require greater stability this would not be a good place to put (all) money due to risk and liquidity concerns.
   If you trade and like volatility then carry on but if thats true you dont need my opinion especially.   Most people should scale into BTC so they dont get so scared off and I think are more likely to learn rather guess or gamble.   Right now we appear bullish but its never so simple imo

You have been trading for three years and you are still asking this question? I am sure you know what the price of bitcoin was three years ago and what it is now and you already know if it is a good investment or not. Best? Maybe. If you are willing to take the risk and you are aware of the volatility, then yeah, it is going to be the best investment for you. If you are planning to hold long term and not sell anytime soon, then yes, bitcoin is actually a very good investment. Zoom out the chart and you will know if it is good for long term or not. It is not the best investment if you are thinking that you will get rich overnight by investing in bitcoin.

Very strange that you traded options on bitcoins. Most people just buy it on spot and hold it. Then there are those that buy it on margin and swing trade and those degenerates who buy it on 100x leverage.

Is it the best investment? No I think it was a few years ago however there are better investments out there which can make you more money. Even some small cap stocks are more attractive because they have 10x potential. Bitcoin might 2x from here and that’s about it. The days of 1000% gains are gone.

Bitcoin is always the best investment  , but if you are referring to Long term investing? then Yes it is bitcoin.

But if you are a day trader then prevent from using this coin lol, instead use altcoins .

I invest in bitcoin by buying from small parts at any lower price and even if I sell some parts, I will still buy more at the next lower price.

Always has been. If you were talking about short term investments, then I'd choose some other small-time coins that you think would be hyped up since the returns would be far greater than shorting Bitcoin (or any other top coins most of the time), but if we were talking about long term investments, I'd always prefer to choose Bitcoin. Still, it would always be better to spread your portfolio as much as possible, and not on just one coin or asset. Bitcoin may be the best investment (imo), but it isn't a guaranteed investment that you'd profit in, just like any other investment there is.

There's no such thing as "best investment". It's going to depend on your risk appetite — some people like sort of "safer" investments, while some like to go far down the risk curve. Obviously for both types of people and the ones in between, their opinions of what the "best investment" is will be very different.

Of course bitcoin is the best investment right now, look at the price history, you will see that the price of bitcoin is very low compared to your old ATH, if anyone buys bitcoin now and then sells it near ATH that person will profit a lot and there are few investments that give high returns like bitcoin, bitcoin and without a doubt the best investment of the century

It's really depends on individual preferences. Of course those who have been a early bagholders will say that it is the best investment they ever have because of the huge returns. But for those who have been investing in the last 2 years, maybe the returns is not that big. Good for you if you have made big money in the last 3 years, not sure how you did it, but the majority I suspect will struggle unless they really bought it at March 2020 wherein we have the lowest low and then hold it, and sold off at ATH.

I think your question has actually been answered yourself from the thread you created now, you said you have been trading bitcoin for three years and it continues to give you significant returns, isn't that proof bitcoin is a good investment? all the ways we choose to make a profit with bitcoin, be it through trading or investing, of course if it can continue to give we profits of course that is a sign of a good investment, so without you asking I think you actually already know the answer.

To all those who have to ask this I always say no, because if you don't know it already then bitcoin is probably not something you want to own. The chances are we hit another super volatile state where price jumps up and down and your mental health could be at risk.

IMO it's a pointless question. First, you're asking it on a Bitcoin forum, naturally a lot of users here will say yes and "bitcoin to the moon". Second, you can only know what is the best investment in hindsight, otherwise anyone with such knowledge would be a billionaire just from trading.

Bitcoin has shown a great performance in the past. Many believe it will keep showing great performance still.

Option is not an investment, it is not even trading in my own opinion, it is most similar to gambling. Those that invested in bitcoin for the last three years which is 2019 will be happy buy now, they made over 10x profit, people that invested $10000 would have made $10000 profit by now and so on, but I mean holders not option trading which is not an investment but highly risky and can bring loss.

Same what @adzino said and I am also going to say the same but not anymore as you two already said it. Reading the op's post again I think I understand him now. He is not an investor and that is why he ask if btc is okay to invest. He is not just a normal trader but he is trading options.

I think trading options was a different thing, it is like i.q option and expert option I believe? The OP earns with it but maybe the earning that he get is not big enough for him to stay so he is looking for additions. BTC have increase a little but its not too late yet to buy and make it as investment for the long term. BTC is highly volatile so using it for trade is also perfect .

I think there is no doubt that Bitcoin is the best investment. We can read many articles which compare Bitcoin investment, gold investment, stock investment, and even other investments. Most articles state that Bitcoin is the best investment because the potential to gain profits in Bitcoin is higher. Although the risk in Bitcoin investment is quite big, we can deal with the risks by learning how to invest properly in Bitcoin.

If we are only talking about this market then I think the answer is yes, and not only at this moment, bitcoin is the best investment that you can make in this market at all times, now there are some other coins that are good enough to invest in them but bitcoin must always compose the majority of your portfolio, as there have been several experiments in the past that demonstrate that most of the profits of any giving portfolio will be given by bitcoin, so there is no point in taking a huge risk for a low reward, as it is what you would be doing if you invested in new altcoins and not in bitcoin.

As long you do make profits then that what matter most since not all is really successful when it comes to their crypto dealings, doesnt matter if it do talks about options
futures or spot then as long you do make profits out of your trades then this is what you should really be mindful on.There's no specific timeframe because we dont

The best investment overall will be the one you would use at any price.   You dont need the market to give you a bid on your offer to sell because its a product you wanted at any price, most obvious is a house to me but overall to a country it can be food etc. each with its own varied dynamic to production and demand.
  It be can asset or product to some extent because people need many things, hence an economy is the circulated demand between all parties with varying comparative advantage to make or access those products, as per the economies laws laid down hundreds of years ago and still valid now.

Bitcoin investment is not just the best but it is the safest investment one can do and just close his or her eyes and sleep well at night especially when compared to other forms of crypto currency investment. Though some people are of the opinion that Bitcoin investment doesn't bring much return on investment as compared to other alternative coins since Bitcoin price is so high and that is very difficult to get 10 to 20x from Bitcoin investment.

While i tried to understand your 3 years experience being trader yet i find it not even asking this question literally . If you have been here for 3 years you knew that the price of Bitcoin already dumped to4 k in 2020 but bounced back super high with ATH of 68k .and now that the price is 40k asking us if this is a good investment?

For me (and I understand that for a large majority on this forum, except for those in the alt section) it is the best investment. What my investment is more boring than yours: I just do DCA, small amounts but little by little I accumulate. With that accumulation and the return of a few years I hope to make a considerable amount in the future.

Absolutely, a big yes. Bitcoin was my best investment and became my main investment from a long time ago until now and for my future and I still want to accumulate more bitcoins because I was late knowing bitcoin in early time. But behind the best investment, bitcoin has a risk that not many people can accept because bitcoin can move to any price without notifying us. So if you can accept the risk no matter what will happen to bitcoin, you are good to go and can start to have your bitcoin investment.

Maybe you need to learn more about why bitcoin is the best investment for many people who already know bitcoin so you can determine by yourself and know what you will do.

There is a huge difference between what you're doing, which is essentially gambling with options, and what long term bitcoin investments actually look like.

If you are looking to purchase BTC for the long run, I think that right now is an excellent price to get in at.

But if you want to trade options - whether long or short, I don't think that it's a great idea. Trading will inevitably lead to market timing, which has been disproven in terms of profitability plenty of times.

from my perspective, Bitcoin is the best investment right now....today's bitcoin community can't beat anymore and this is what makes bitcoin special from other investments.  besides a strong community, what makes bitcoin other special is its volatile price, because if you have an investment that has a stable price, how can you get a gain from your investment?  investing in property, stocks, gold or bonds will not give you big profits if you don't have a large capital, while bitcoin does not require such a large capital but you can make big profits.

Bitcoin is an investment people notice recently and i have seen that many people queue up to invest on it. I have over seen people who is emphasising that is best investment so far, i believe they have their cogent reason while Bitcoin is the best option for investment.. I'm not supporting the motion that Bitcoin is best investment platforms or neither making another thing best investment so far..

That depends on how long you're going to stick around, if you're in it for the short-term then it's not probably the best time because the prices still has a possibility of going down and you don't want to be losing money because you got in at the wrong time, if you're the other one which is a long-term investor then you're probably going to be getting in right now because short-term fluctuations in the market shouldn't faze you because you have a goal and you want to stick to it.

I would say that the way he does it (trading options) may not be the most safe way to trade crypto neither. At the end of the day crypto is both secure and also not secure at the same time. For example, if you buy bitcoin and you could hold it for 10 years, you could be sure that it is a good investment, but if you buy a rugpull looking brand new project then you could be losing all of your money as well.

So, I wouldn't say that it was a good idea, it seems like a situation where you should avoid crypto in that sense. So how you approach crypto matters a lot, sometimes it is good, sometimes it is not so good and that is why it is not about crypto in general.

More businesses have been converting their fiat reserve to bitcoin fearing the inflation of traditional fiat. With time more countries are experiencing this, and the sufferers were the end users/consumers. For now bitcoin is the best investment. With the unlimited supply and printing of fiat, the process of value making is no more a possible thing. Possibly the future is cryptocurrency or technology defined limited supply currency.

Well, since I've known Bitcoin, it's better as an investment for me no matter what are the situation of the market. Be it pump or dump it doesn't matter as long as you know how to make use of Bitcoin as an investment especially in long-term investment. The more time Bitcoin gets the more its value increases over time due to the halving.

It's up to someone on how they would manage to make some profit during bearish trend or when they planned to trade only in a short time. But for me, long-term is the best investment choice especially when it comes to Bitcoin.

It's up to what people say about bitcoin because I still firmly believe bitcoin is still the best investment for me. I had no doubts about bitcoin for a long time even though I didn't actually have enough money to invest in it. Obviously I have the option of getting one of those profitable investments with other altcoin, but I think bitcoin is the best and can't be compared to altcoin.

Bitcoin is the best investment ever, and always will be in the long run. Hopefully we can also enjoy ATH again this year or next year with bitcoin. A few days ago I just invested $2K in bitcoin, but hopefully I can keep hold it longer without being too affected by fluctuations.

I don't need to recommend the best altcoins because the best are the results of your own analysis and research, and if I mention them and the results are unfavorable and I will feel guilty even I will be blamed.

^ If you have experienced significant gains, yes, you are on the right path to investing in BTC. If you invested during BTC was down around $30k, you probably have a profit by now because BTC was reached higher above $30k. BTC is so very volatile that could any time it will pump or too much dump, waiting at the right time is the perfect advice for you. BTC has been proven that it is very profitable if you know how to wait for it. For the profitable purpose and less risk, choose BTC.

That is the hope if you are planning to invest in the market, all you need is to wait for the market correction and it can happen anytime and for every trader they love the high volatility so that they can make the maximum profit out of these market, invest when the market is bleeding red and then hold till the market recovers and repeat.
I do have assets for the long term which i wont be touching anytime soon and that i have set aside a percentage for short time trade and till now everything is going well.

When it comes to stabilization, Bitcoin is the safest of all cryptocurrencies. However, at present, new projects related to games in the virtual world, or the creation of a virtual world itself, have a much greater potential for development and thus a price increase. Usually, just HODL. The common strategy and stress-less way of investing and dealing the market is through holding. That's how it should be especially for the beginners that don't know how to trade but want to invest in bitcoin. And if you're consistent making gains in options, just keep your horses there and continue making money.

You only need confidence and knowledge of market history about Bitcoin once you have it you'll know that you'll make a profit, all you have to do is buy on the dip and check the exact floor price to buy more, I agree that the market is very volatile but you only worry if the coins that you've invested in, is struggling to get into the top or new coins that's still in developing stage, but for a coin like Bitcoin you'll only need to wait and sell on profit.

It's always a good time to invest into bitcoin if you are a long term Hodlers bit for short term when the price drops and starts rising then thats the right time invest into bitcoin. Some jumps from bitcoin to Altcoin for quick gain but it's too risky as sometimes it takes ages for altcoins to bounce back.But bitcoin has the ability not only to bounce back but hit a new ATH and it's more reliable.

I usually split the invetsment into bitcoin for daily trading and long term, for long term I keep higher target and don't bother to check until target is met but for daily trading i read the candles and take entry when the buying starts after a red candle and keep a target of 1% and make targets three trade of 1% each.

Considering the profit that I get from cryptomarket, I can yes to this compare to my earnings to stock trading.
Bitcoin made a big difference, it gives so much opportunities to those who are willing to adopt. Though its not always profit since losing money is also part of the game but overall, in the long run Bitcoin still gives the highest return and not just with Bitcoin there are also altcoins that can give the same profit to you. This is one of my best decision in my investment journey, to enter in cryptomarket.

"Best" is a strong word to classify something, especially in investment's world, where there are so many different options disponible. But without any doubts, bitcoin is the best investment for small investors, at least. I say that because bitcoin gathers three important characteristics from the financial point of view:

High profitability, easy and accessible to start investing and initial investment can be made with small amounts of money.

There isn't any other investment with those same traits. So that is what makes bitcoin so special and unique.

High profitability is not always the case here because it depends on how the user will do his trading. But I do agree that you don't need big amount of money to start with. You can start very small like your extra funds to buy some satoshis and very accessible as there are so many trading platforms that you can use. However, considering it the "best" is I believe not appropriate to some, particularly those who are not into crypto. Some will prefer real-estate or precious gems to be the best for their investments. So categorically speaking, it depends on the user how he will identify btc in his investment portfolio.

That has been the way I invested for a long time. Whenever crypto falls a lot, and I mean like 50%+ in the long run, then I invest into crypto because that is a great time to get in. It may not make you rich overnight, but it is known that bitcoin doesn't stay low forever and it will always make you a profit in the long run. So, if you invest when the price is low, that means you are going to make a profit in the long run.

I personally made a good return with this method and I am guessing that I am not the only one. I have also learned about DCA long time ago and I keep doing that as well when the market is not crashing like it did a few months ago, when it is like today, I just DCA per month.

How many investments are there that a person can invest in and in 1 year make a profit of 50% or 30% or 100%? I only see cryptocurrencies managing to give these high returns, of course this also comes with high risk

There is no single best investment. I believe the last three years you were trading BTC, it appreciated steadily. We know how the market is now. For me I don't invest in businesses that portrays itself as a get rich quick medium. I invest in business that I have researched on and can predict its reliability and durability. I generally like long term investments.   

When it comes to investment, people have got different views and different understanding. This means some expect short term profiting, some look for long term profiting, some want to have risk free investment. Depending on the requirement one has to choose the respective cryptocurrency for investment. Bitcoin have got proven record which is the reason why it is the best investment of all time unlike the market situation.

Everyone won't believe in growth, those who make use of the dip profit when the market increase with time. But, most of the time people get into panic when there is downward disturbance in the market. Study the market and make the investment.

I have many options in investing so far and one of them is investing in crypto (bitcoins & some altcoins). I agree about this investment is one of the best regardless of whether people agree or not. The good thing is that bitcoin has provided a commensurate return on our investment and that is one proof that bitcoin investing is a good thing. It doesn't matter if you want to profit from investing in other than bitcoin, as long as you make a profit then it is the best investment for you though not for anyone else.

Differences of opinion as to which investments are the best are common and I think they can say whatever they like and in what investments they prefer. It doesn't matter if they are not sure about bitcoin because it will have no impact on our investment in bitcoin. The point is that what is best for us is not necessarily the best for others and they are free to choose which investments they are willing to take into account the risks.

That means you are saying bitcoin is a great investment for now. Even I have thought just like this from the past 5 years that there isn't any better coin to invest into than bitcoin, the sole factor being it is the first crypto to ever come in existence so it will always be on top in terms of market capitalisation and the number of users using it on daily basis or having it in their portfolio.
Even though bitcoin is lacking the features that other cryptocurrency provides but still it is by far the most trusted coin cause of the fact that the market follows the same trend that bitcoin follows.

We can't just say "the best investment at this moment" but this can also be profitable long-term.
Just looking at its market trend, we can really say that buying today and holding for at least 2 years, the possibility to make double(or even more) your capital.

it is a way to say that Bitcoin investment is more profitable than the other investment but the risk is too high if we compared it to other forms of investment. That is why if you are not a risk-taker person, we probably do not agree about this but for us who know it and are already on the said investment, we can say YES.

Best investment? Its very subjective for me but I can say that it is and its my opinion only and it may not be to others.

Ask those people who made huge profits in Bitcoin and they will say that it is the best investment for them. On the other hand though, ask those investors who lost huge money in Bitcoin because they got FOMO'ed and they might say that it isn't the best or for them it might be the worst investment for them. In terms of profitability though in the last decade (2010-2020), Bitcoin has the highest percentage gains compare to other investments including stocks, gold etc. but it is the most volatile of them all that is why it jumped huge in the last decade.

Well at the moment, I might say that yes Bitcoin is the best investment but I still believe in diversification so you might want to invest into other assets as well.

For new people, maybe they join crypto not because they know bitcoin but because they see a new trend happening in crypto. This already happened before when the NFT trend exploded and made many people speculate by joining many obscure NFT projects. They didn't do any research but just read about someone who managed to get many people out of NFT and brought them into crypto without having enough knowledge. Instead of investing in bitcoin or other potential coins, they choose to invest in tokens or coins that are not yet known to survive or not in the market.

It is not even just as a crypto currency but also as the most profitable and great in the whole investment world. I would prefer it over gold, over stocks, over houses over any other thing that you could imagine. Crypto gives you a right to make money more than any other method in the world. This is why I believe that we should not really be concerned about investing into crypto at any price. Just forget about the unknowns of the future because it is valid for everything.

You think Warren Buffet didn't made any losses? Dude managed to have 3-4 loss years in the last 12-13 years, and sure he had some profitable ones as well. But, he averaged literally 20% for the past 60 years and that is how he became so rich, just on average 20% per year and you would be rich too. For crypto it is quite easy to average 20% profit if you ask me, shouldn't be that difficult as long as you keep holding it.

It can be believed by me or many other investors that bitcoin is indeed the best investment that many have made in the market which is quite durable and a significant price is felt.

Other assets are also very worth investing in but we must be able to do research despite now having a lot of hype and trends that trap us a lot if we want to be safe in investing, of course, it is bitcoin that must be done, not other assets.

This is a tricky question because "best" is left up for interpretation.  Will Bitcoin have the highest returns on a % basis going forward?  No.  It will most certainly not.  If performance is the only thing you consider in your equation, then Bitcoin is not the "best" investment at the moment and I think anyone would have trouble putting forth a reasonable argument how Bitcoin would outperform it's much smaller peers.  Facts are that it takes a smaller amount of money to send a micro-cap investment skyward than it does a larger asset. 

If you consider things like risk and security, then you can make the argument that Bitcoin is the best investment, but sheer returns, I do not think Bitcoin will be within 10x the greatest performing cryptocurrency this year, or any year for that matter.  There will always be new entrants coming from nothing that solve problems.  This will only become more and more evident as Bitcoin becomes more popular and thus less user-friendly. 

Diversification would always be that recommended because we know on what are the possible benefits that we could get if we had done it right but we know that
not all would really be that financially capable on doing so thats why it is really that hard on making out decisions even if you wanted to.When it comes to assurance
then we could somewhat assure with Btc that could really go for long term but we know that there are other options that you could really take on

Diversifying your portfolio shouldn't exactly be put on the same idea as looking for the best investment. It's mainly because diversifying your portfolio is like choosing the top 10 coins you'd describe as coins that are currently the "best" to invest in. So it's basically a portfolio of Bitcoin and other alike coins. It's always how one should build up their portfolios, pick one coin that you think would be a best investment, then pick a few other coins that wouldn't necessarily be the same as that best investment, but if you can then do so.

A friend of mine had 700k or so around 8 years ago, and he turned that into 28 million dollars worth of houses. How? He just bought a lot of debt while growing his business of buying houses.

Not entirely sure. Also the inflation kicked in at the same time, and that made him super rich. Obviously inflation was responsible for 50% of his increase but still he took that chance.

Yes BTC growth in 2021 has significantly brought up other crypto currency market to other level. If you say $100k for this year, I may not be sure about that as the price is still around $40k and approaching second quarter of the year. I am not entirely sure if the price will EVER be here again because that is what happens. I remember the 2014 period, the price of 1400 was reached, and it never went to like 30 bucks or something which it was in 2011-2012 period where it was the peak price but never went back there after 2014 peak. Then we had 2017 increase, which took it above 1400 and then to 20k, and never back down to 1400 again.

Weirdly enough we did went below the 2017 peak just recently, couple days ago only, but that was it, when the price goes back up, I doubt we will see that again. So, when we have a huge bull run and break above ATH, that causes the price to go down but not too much.

In the cryptocurrency industry, I also think Bitcoin is the best investment at the moment.  There are others that can give us better profit than Bitcoin but the risk involved is unimaginable.  Those altcoins that live on hype can give us huge profit but can also leave us bag holding worthless coins.  So in profit/risk ratio, nothing beats Bitcoin to be the best investment on the crypto industry at the moment.

You are right that 2022 has not been good all along for Bitcoin & stock markets due to economic crisis worldwide but it won't last for ever. Markets are likely rise from here as we see accumulation at current price because long term investors think it has already bottomed out or close to the bottom & bearish market is always excellent opportunity to build portfolio at lower price. 

altcoins can offer better returns than bitcoin because bitcoin predated altcoins and it also rallied hundreds of thousands of times before altcoins appeared, so nowadays people think bitcoin value is too high no longer give good returns like altcoin

but people don't know that only bitcoin exists and stays with us, altcoins will eventually be replaced or destroyed if it becomes older than new altcoins, it can be said that the life cycle of altcoins is very short

Right. indeed HOLD is a good strategy when the market experiences a significant decline in price. Especially if you've already made a trade but it didn't work and haven't found an alternative, it's better to just save it while waiting for new momentum later.

I would say a long term buy and hold strategy is your best bet. It may take a while to see the return on our investment, but bitcoin itself is actually quite valuable. The costs will definitely increase and decrease, but it should be a safe bet in the long run.

This is the right moment even though I'm still very new to trading to pile up now, hold on for the long term, and prepare for a "big dip". The value of Bitcoin as a currency will not decrease in the future. It will only go up from here.

Price is not everything to assess the best investment assets. I know bitcoin is the best asset in the last 10 years as an investment choice compared to other investment instruments. Early adopters earn huge returns, and that is a testament to the fact that bitcoin is an excellent choice for non-physical investment assets.

I will probably be honest that up to now bitcoin is an asset that should not be ignored by any investor. Price fluctuations are common, that's not the reason why it's not good. The real use cases as a currency as well as its growing adoption are some of the reasons why bitcoin is the best investment asset, imo.

Of course Bitcoin is the best investment right now. In my opinion, Bitcoin moves on faster than Gold. In a very short time, Bitcoin has set a record as the highest value investment asset. Apart from that, Bitcoin investments are not limited to a certain level. Unlike other asset investments. If you have $ 10 dollars, you can invest in Bitcoin without having to go through the process and conditions that are too complicated. But if you have $10, you can't necessarily invest in real estate.

I don't think there is any easy answer. It all depends on your personal situation and what your long term goals are. You can consider the two aspects: short term, in which Bitcoin probably is the best investment in recent history, or long term, when it might be not that good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. But, I enjoy investing in Bitcoin and it might be something that is here to stay at least for some more years. It has a high value but is still volatile and hard to predict. Only time will tell how well Bitcoin will fair in the long run.
