I agree. Bitcoin is not for the faint of heart. It's a high risk-high reward investment and it should be treated as such. Only invest an amount that you're okay with losing, preferably an amount that you won't even miss. One day, your Bitcoin might be worth $100,000 or more; another, it might drop to $10,000. The price is particularly volatile right now, so it's hard to predict what's going to happen in the near future. With all these caveats in mind, there are two reasons why I'm bullish on Bitcoin: 1) the utility value of Bitcoin and 2) the speculative value of Bitcoin. The bottom line? Good advice, but not many people know how to wait. Especially if it is a newbie investor who bought bitcoin yesterday for a full deposit and today saw a loss of -10%. In such a case, it is difficult not to watch the price and not to panic. Although, it is very easy to keep bitcoin in your own wallet and sell it when the price is much higher than it is now. But the psychology is such that only a few can make money in this market.

It is the right time for the traders to make some money. Until the market turns bullish we can experience similar form of price fluctuation. BTC is one of the best but not the best and certainly in some time frames it looks bad but considering it gives some alternative to plain currency its worth having.   Some countries are suffering double digit losses to the value of their currency in just one month so having an alternative available to use worldwide seems more then sensible.   Since inflation also applies to dollar that largely means it applies to every country of the world so I wont call plain BTC investment but its certainly viable as a hedge or insurance to national currency which are in the majority poor at retaining value longer term.

altcoins can offer better returns than bitcoin because bitcoin predated altcoins and it also rallied hundreds of thousands of times before altcoins appeared, so nowadays people think bitcoin value is too high no longer give good returns like altcoin

but people don't know that only bitcoin exists and stays with us, altcoins will eventually be replaced or destroyed if it becomes older than new altcoins, it can be said that the life cycle of altcoins is very short

Before starting a bitcoin investment, you must have a mature strategy. A bitcoin investment strategy really depends on your risk profile and the financial goals you want to achieve. However, it requires patience in managing emotions. Therefore, if a novice investor wants to invest in bitcoin, don't just follow trends and invest without a strategy.

Exactly this. I've done trading but it didn't work out that well for me. Now I HODL which is a more risk free and defensive strategy if you do it with money you don't expect to ever see back. After many years the HODL seems to be very profitable.

So pick a mature strategy that is in line with your capabilities.

Right. indeed HOLD is a good strategy when the market experiences a significant decline in price. Especially if you've already made a trade but it didn't work and haven't found an alternative, it's better to just save it while waiting for new momentum later.

I would say a long term buy and hold strategy is your best bet. It may take a while to see the return on our investment, but bitcoin itself is actually quite valuable. The costs will definitely increase and decrease, but it should be a safe bet in the long run.

This is the right moment even though I'm still very new to trading to pile up now, hold on for the long term, and prepare for a "big dip". The value of Bitcoin as a currency will not decrease in the future. It will only go up from here.
