Title: Does Solana have a future?
Post by: Abiky on March 18, 2022, 05:28:37 PM
2021 proved to be the biggest year for Solana as the cryptocurrency reached new All-time-highs in price. Mainstream adoption was flowing like never before, with new projects joining in the craze. What made Solana extremely successful at the time was its highly-performing blockchain network (blazing-fast speeds and ultra-low fees unlike any other blockchain in existence). But the recent number of network outages caused prices to sink to the point where Solana is far from its latest All-time-high. It's no wonder since security/reliability is the key towards any project's success.

That said, there might still be hope for Solana if developers continue to improve the network to help prevent further outages from occurring again. Helping build new technologies take time to make them as rock-solid as possible. If all goes well, we might see a better version of Solana 10 years from now.

What do you think about this project? Will it have a future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

Huh ? this is the bridge service nothing to do with Solana. ~LOL

You have the resource you can check in their social media or website, at least they're not a shitty2 project just offering NFTs Ape. It's really worth holding this coin? my answer is yes. Don't wasting your time in NFTs, better this one.

I think that Solana definitely has a future i mean in the end it is at rank 8 in terms of marketcap for all crypto projects, so if people say Solana has no future than i would say that basically no crypto project has a future. I am not that deep into Solana but i also have read about some of the stuff that happen with the network but so far i would say the impact of those news on the price of Solana have been neglectable. That being said i don't any Solana myself and i am also not planning to invest into Solana in the future because i simply don't want to invest into projects where early investors already made a x100 or more with.

For a project to actually have a future alot has to do with the developers, so i can't state categorically if this project has a future or not, maybe cause i am not an investor of this project and as such i have done no research whatsoever into their project/team. Having said that, there was actually a time Solana was actually popular amongst investors, but from what i can sense now, that is no longer the case. But like i have said earlier the Solana team have to work really hard to keep their project running and if they are to actually have a future.

their main problem is dealing with frequent network outages. but I think it can be worked out in the future, and I'm sure they're trying to work around that. So if asked if SOL has a future, I think yes. they have a future, maybe among other blockchain network projects SOL has a better future.

SOL will have a future, even if that future is not very good. SOL will survive in the crypto market, I believe it's because there are many projects that have problems and haven't been able to solve them but are still holding on. You can see ethereum with scalability issues and high fees, but ETH is still at the top. so SOL can be like that too, people don't really focus on their problems. as long as the hype lasts SOL will always get noticed.

This is a major coin and it doesn't make sense to call this if solana didn't have a future. I just wanna try to remind you if any projects that were recently built in the solana were still getting the big hype. APE token has become one of the hyped tokens in the solana ecosystem and this proves that if the hype is still around the solana blockchain and it didn't go somewhere. that doesn't make sense to call this doesn't have a future. an outage can be fixed maybe in the upcoming updates as the developers are still looking for the best thing to be implemented to fix it.

IMO, Solana do have a future and in a price below 100, it's a good pick for high yields. Solana has already proved its worth with thousands of new project using its ecosystem. It has an active team and the fees are still pretty low for it to grow without any hassle. Though more projects would come for the same genre but we have already experienced how these platforms are co-exists and flourish as the gaps are being bridged.

How can you just bring a bridge service hack and say Solana is dead? You need to get to your facts right. Solana is a layer1 network with so many big investors and it has good projects building on the network too, don't mislead the public.

when the use of this network gets bigger, of course, the ecosystem that is built will also be bigger. its arrival almost coincides with the Binance Smart Chain. two products that I think are very successful in providing solutions to market demands.
Solona is arguably newer, and the possibility of bigger developments is still very likely in the future. I'm sure what Solona is currently building is not just hype.

The second half of 2021 was a really great time for Solana project. In December, things started to change and 2022 is a period when many investors look at the chart with great concern.
Certainly the great advantage of the SOL is its speed and very low transaction fees compared to the market. However, this is not the main reason why I believe Solana price will start to rise. Recently, it was announced that Coinbase wallet will support 3 Solana tokens and I think that this information will attract many large investors who will certainly start to raise its price:

Solana is a promising project, I do not think that the network outages will affect the behavior of the project and its price trajectory. Sol is currently trading at the $90 ceiling. If indeed there were expectations indicating the collapse of Solana, it would have sunk some time ago. If we witness a bullish market in the coming periods, everyone who invested in sol will certainly achieve his goal ;D

if you ask about Solana does it have a future? of course I will answer out loud, YEAHH SOL has a bright future! haha,

the real proof is that Solana was able to be in the top 10 coinmarketcap, and of course that is a very extraordinary progress,
the price of SOL has indeed decreased, and that's still natural, because everyone has experienced it,
but, this will be a golden opportunity for investors to re-enter

as far as I know, the project is quite young, and it is already in the top 10 CMC, many projects have been trying to do this for many years, so solana has set the price high, further development of this blockchain depends on users and projects that will work in this network

Solana definitely has a future, I see it breaking $1,000 during the next big bitcoin bull market. You’re probably going to have to wait until 2025 or something but Solana will fly because it has such a high ceiling. It has such big potential for huge price increases.

For me it's just a matter of timing, I mean we all know that altcoin market, specially the solid ones will have a difficult time during bear market, even ETH at 2018 have seen worse going down as low as 2 digit. And since we are in a bearish phase right now, Solana will have a difficult time as well. But I believed it is one of the solid projects we have right now so it will still exist and have a bright future specially in the next bull run.

In my opinion, Solana has a future but not better than Bitcoin or even the others. I really don't give 100% trust to reviews but somehow, many experts say that this project will give benefits to the community which is exactly a helping tool to gain investors. Keeping the position as one of the top 10 coins in the https://coinmarketcap.com/, we're too confident that it really make to compete.

This is no doubt that Solana is a good coin as well as a good blockchain. Many of the new projects based on NFTs, Metaverse, DEX, Defi programs, etc are involved in this blockchain with good demand and growth. We have also seen that last time Solana achieve an instant pump in its price and break its all-time high price. I think this ( SOL) coin has definitely a bright future with good demand and we could consider this coin for our portfolio.

Solana became an idol in 2021 for altcoins, because solana was able to get better that year, plus the network they use has a good adoption rate, transaction speed and affordable fees, thus placing solana in the top altcoins as the most sought after, for my future I think solana still has a chance to repeat the same thing, but due to the current unfavorable market conditions, it will take time for solana to achieve results like in 2021

Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me. Because of the road map of the project, its future plans and its growth over the last six months, we can conclude that yes, the project will not be dead. Because it has potential and is a project that will rival an etherium in the future. I am also a big fan of the technology he has used. So by doing research you can get 100% information about its future. See, understand and then think. You have a great opportunity to buy it right now. In the near future you will be able to see it for about $500. This is my opinion.

Solana is a fundamentally strong coin, so if you are a long-term investor, Solona is a great choice and has the potential to provide good returns in the future.
and Solana is backed by a solid development team as this coin is still relatively new but promising.
and there are a lot of rumors about Solana, whether it's a good investment or not, and I suggest you do some thorough research to see what you think before making a decision. If you decide to invest in Solana, please only invest money you can afford to lose.

Solana is good enough because of its use case but it's future performance still depends on what the team can come up with later on, I hope the project live up to their expectations as new alternatives keeps coming up.

They just need to keep updating their platform to become competitive with the other competitors because they might not know some good adjustments today but when they keep developing their platform, they will find the right recipe to make it one of the best networks out there. Most of the time, their trial and error don't give them good result nowadays but as soon as they find something innovative to infuse with their current platform, I'm sure Solana have some competitive future from the rest.

Solana have good platform with faster transaction process but still stuck on lower price right now after last 5 month success make new all time high price above $260, I see last one month Solana coin only stuck and hold on $80 until $90 and not chance can break out above $100. Although have bad thing with bitcoin price keep not stable but Solana have reach up higher price and will be as stable coin only moving on $80 until $90 price depending how bitcoin pump and dump, not as favorite long term coin for future holding because stable coin is not worth for investing.

I believe that they will need to improve their decentralization and also better their network sustainability in order to be a long term project. We have seen them do a lot more stuff with the network, like stop it, freeze it, even reverse one hackers move. Now I know that this allowed them to stop people getting scammed and save hundreds of millions of dollars (or less I do not remember) but at the same time it shows centralization.

We have seen them get congested network and frozen when they had less than 10% what ETH has as well while pumping about 68k TPS or whatever. They need to stop all of that and be what they say on paper and decentralized for it to have any chance in the future.

IMO, I believe Solana has a bright future with enough gas to sustain its continued development prospect it is a potent Ethereum competitor with huge backing and support from its strong community of users and investors that's why I can say that it has a bright future and I have no any doubt about it. aside from Solana, there are also other potent Ethereum competitors in the market that we should not ignore.

Solana will have a future because its utilities and most NFT are created Solana based blockchain, every altcoin tends to have a future just do some research if Solana really meets your requirement then you should believe in it. Investing in Solana just because you follow along with other people then you have a big chance will lose your investment.

My honest 2 cents is that all altcoins have potential. But also,,, all scam coins have potential.

Not saying that SOL is a scam but it does not at all look different from other "challenger" networks. Tries to get Defi in, then tries to get nft in and now gaming and metaverse also.

Only pro is cheap fees.

Just my opinion.

The hype is gone, there are better options to invest in. Solana received a lot of attention and investment in its early days, but they didn't manage the process well enough. Currently, many people regard the project as dead, and this will not be easy to change.
If we can enter a good bull period, of course, it will gain value, but it is debatable how good it will be to invest at the moment :)

The answer is very clear yes :D and I'm pretty sure about it.
They were quite good last year and indeed they are still experiencing a decline but this is still in a reasonable stage because this is indeed the impact of the BTC correction.
I think the projects there are still quite good so far and indeed they are currently in quite good interest because in the mirror from 2021 ago I feel they will definitely develop even more in the years to come

Solana have a good future, even during last year it was propagating with a little difference, so i may say why people is emphasising that some of the altcoins don't really have future again is because of fluctuations, regulations and determination of cryptocurrency speculation this year, as from when i know Solana it has a gravity of investment, so it has future, the only challenges that affect all cryptocurrencies is Bitcoin market stagnant.

Being in the top ten of Coinmarketcap.com doesn’t really guarantee future success of a project. SOL is not the first cryptocurrency to reach top ten quickly after being released, we have seen that happen a lot of times. I think what really matters is the ability of the developers to keep it at the top.

Pointing out to what the op said, a lot of people did lose interest when the system had some issues and it caused the price to fall, but it seems to be doing well now, so we can see something good likely awaits in the future. I would be happy to see it reach a high price, more than a 100%, let’s say by next year or two.

Do we then say Solana is at the mercy of it's hackers? I still don't want to believe Solana is completely dead until it's developers give up on their quest to recover what was stolen. I think it might take another longer time to salvage the current loss and will also stir panic around it's investors but can't still be a ground to say it's completely dead

The Solana blockchain will develop well in the future, it will even be more powerful than the Litecoin blockchain. Even SOL coins have a much higher volume compared to Litecoin. If the volume is high, of course the level of transactions in the exchange is also high.

Solana is truly extraordinary in 2021, this altcoin is able to be out of pressure, resulting in a maximum selling value, but because this year the market is at a low point, Solana is back on a bad path, still looking at developments for the future for Solana , if the opportunity to strengthen like in 2021 exists, then make the next purchase, because I am sure Solana will return to a good path in the future

Im not fan of solana especially with their numerous shutdown, its obvious that they arent performing well when it comes to their network and shows how centralized their platform that the network needed to be offline for a long period of time. Its a dissapointment to some users and even other connecting platform of course. I think the marketcap has been manipulated by some whales yhatd why it still going forward but if youll ask me Id rather used avalanche, fantom, bsc or matic.

Just hit and run with Solana coin without as fans with keep holding this coin, I think several altcoin is not worth as long term holding trough have reach higher price I will sell it, have some investor keep holding because most interested with Solana coin without see between how much percent ROI from first Solana launched to public, I think not have to make some coin as long term holding on our portfolio trough get profit sell it and find the other coin to earn profit back without as long term holder.

their main problem is dealing with frequent network outages. but I think it can be worked out in the future, and I'm sure they're trying to work around that. So if asked if SOL has a future, I think yes. they have a future, maybe among other blockchain network projects SOL has a better future.

Believe me, frequent network outages are a pain in the head. It's like trying to use a credit card whose transactions get declined for no reason. A broken system will definitely scare away investors and traders alike. Luckily, Solana is an open source project so it's easy for anyone to make it bigger, better, and stronger than ever. The project has potential to take away the "De-Fi" world by storm. It'll be up to developers (and the community itself) to do the right thing. Otherwise, Solana will continue to decline in price until it fades away into oblivion.

Right now things look "bleak" for Solana, so we cannot determine how it'll perform in the future. As long as you don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts ;D

I think the future is always the same for any altcoin. Except of course for really good projects, but there is only one so far, and that is Ethereum. All the other projects come and go, it happens all the time year after year. I think that in time a new Solana will come along, which will be much better than the current one. History always repeats itself.

I agree that they have a big future ahead in the blockchain technology though they have some issues network congestion lately but still they are promising project out there and still believe they will rise up to its next ATH. Its just a matter of time that Solana will be one of leading blockchain technology in the crypto space.

Price drops I think is normal for any coin, it's not a serious threat to a cryptocurrency project.
As long as Solana is still being developed by developers, then there is good potential for Solana's future, regarding the performance of Solana's network I can't doubt it, it could be that the Solana network will become the No.1 network in the future replacing ethereum if the solana project is able to attract the community for their project.
Yes, you are right citing it was a normal market situation but as we talk about in the future, that is something different. We have to see the performance of the project, what happens now or even in the past days will also matter to predict what possibly happens in the future. Unfortunately, Solana doesn't have an impressive performance which makes some investors think negatively about this and even doubtful of its capabilities. Not even to think it surpass ETH, that is impossible.

Grayscale investment launches Solana, Avalanche, Polygon and Cardano Smart Contract Fund.
Grayscale, is a cryptocurrency asset management company, is adding non-Ethereum smart contract tokens to its line of investment funds. The Grayscale Smart Contract Platform ex Ethereum fund, or GSCPxE, let investors participate in some of the most popular smart contract networks and Ethereum sidechains. Solana, Cardano, Avalanche, Polkadot, Polygon and Stellar are among the altcoins included in the fund.

Solana has great potential if it is seen from the project performance that is so professional.
From several angles as a project analysis, Solana is quite feasible to be used as an investment for the long term because the platform is quite good at managing their ecosystem.
So far, Solana has been able to compete with several network projects such as Binance Smartchain or Matic.
In fact, in my opinion, Solana is in second place after ethereum as the best network project in cryptocurrency.
This is because their network is almost perfect, and even continues to be developed to this day.
When it comes to prices, to consider the current price it doesn't matter because the market is indeed in a downtrend, we are here for the long future.

2021, Solana becomes a bright star of the market. However, for those who follow Solana, it can be seen that the ecosystem is not having much growth, even declining recently.
IMO, I still rate SOL as one of the potential and long-term investment projects. Of course, the SOL development team needs to work even harder to fix the problems that SOL is having. SOL as well as other projects are still very young compared to ETH. No project is 100% perfect so SOL needs more time to perfect itself.

The devs rushed a bit to run the mainnet without fully testing the capabilities and now they are facing issues solving some of the new problems.
In time they might get over it and set everything in order so the Solana chain could exist. Diversity in crypto is a good thing.

solana won't be able to shift ethereum because there are still quite a lot of bugs encountered in solana. Solana network may in the future be one of the most popular networks but Ethereum cannot be replaced by Solana because Ethereum is the first altcoin to adopt smart contracts.

must have a future. just look at networks that don't have a lot of active dapps can still survive in the market. Wave, EOS, stellar and other smart contract projects are still on the market. so don't be afraid Solana will die or have no future. this year is solana year, the project is growing very fast and the price of SOL coin is rising through ATH. although they still have problems, but it's not serious enough.
If the networks that don't have a lot of project had survive then why not solana when solana has a lot of projects but the reason why the networks that you mention have survive is because they are not new here anymore but they have done a lot of contributions in the past.

Not sure if solana is old enough but I have not seen solana hyped before so you could be right that it was not the time for solana to shine. It's a late bloomer. What problems does solana have again? Never heard of it but that can be minor only and not really serious which can affect the development of the coin. There's no coin here anyway that are perfect with no issues.

and will switch to PoS, of course this will be a good thing for Solana, because Solana is already using the PoS algorithm without any problems,
Solana's price has also shown this which is very extraordinary, from $3 to $200 last year is a great thing, of course SOL is very bright in the future

I would have to say that it is clear to me we are not going to end up with a big deal out of "all" coins. I mean it is obvious that some of them will fail. Maybe it is the veteran in me, but I know that shiba and the likes will fail, the memecoin ones. How do I know this? Because if a project is basing all of the success on hype alone then it will die, hype is temporary and it will not continue.

What I believe however will happen is that we will see a lot more people making a better coin or token, where the features and the roadmap has serious stuff in it, even better there will be some new features that we haven't seen before, those will succeed.

Honestly speaking,,, one does not need to be a veteran to know that all memecoins will eventually fail because of the reason you say. Nothing but hype, and spending new money on marketing to get more new money in.

And if we are being objective things like Solana are exactly the same.

Roadmap? Serious stuff? I thought you were a veteran;) That used to be all that ICOs did. Some of the best scams had brilliant whitepapers and roadmaps. New projects do not even bother these days with whitepaper :)

I think you already answered the question about solana having a future in your explanation, like you already said, as long as the developers continue improving the network to protect it from further occurrence everything will be fine, besides, solana blockchain is still on alpha stage despite the sudden popularity. besides, other blockchain also experience different network issues that doesn't mean they don't have a future, look at eth also have its own issues, i don't think there is any blockchain that is 100% free of any technical issue.

There are many factors to judge if a project has a future or not. The some of the factors are;
 • what problem does the project intend to solve?
• does the team have the experience and capability to pull the project through?
• is the project actually solving the problem?

If the above questions can be answered in the affirmative, then hopefully the project will succeed.

Solana was built to solve the problem of transactions fee, transaction scalability. So, with time I am sure the team will get it right and do very well in the future.

Agree that there will be better altcoins to replace, looking at Topcoins 2017 and 2022 We saw a very clear difference. Most topcoins have been replaced by better altcoins, only BTC and ETH hold their ground. But the market is growing day by day, we should expect more successful projects than failures. Although Solana, DOT, Near… may not be able to replace ETH but I still believe and hope they will develop and exist with the market.

and about the obstacles or problems that occur I think they can solve this quickly.

Bitcoin price effect Solana up drastically from $90 until $102 and have potential keep going up depend with bitcoin price keep stay on higher price or not, I think looks have recovery although as slowly but Solana coin keep potential for trading and investing. I have checked with Solana coin after dump to $80 but I saw have slowly price up and daily day just change few percent only.

I am missing opportunity after getting Solana have drastically pump to higher price and success break above $100 but if entry right now looks afraid because have reach higher price and really risk when bitcoin drop again.

Not sure what you are going on about mate, if it is true you have studied individually about altcoins then you cannot be serious about 'no big volatility for altcoins',,, the only time altcoins stop becoming volatile is when they are practically down to 1% of their ATH ;)

Anyway, not really relevant to what I was commenting on. Back on point, Solana, not a single person since I commented has laid any argument convincing enough, in fact every point is making my opinion of it worse :)

If Solana focuses on decentralization, then it would be on a road towards non-stop success. Its future will greatly depend on how reliable the Blockchain network is. So far, Solana's been nothing but a victim of constant network outages putting its reliability in question. It'll be up to developers themselves to fix this or people will simply move on to another project.

For what I know, altcoins come and go as hype shifts away from one project to another. I don't see Solana any different than other altcoins with shiny new features but without any substance to it. The cryptocurrency's price is way below its latest All-time-high so it's hard to tell if it'll have a future or not. Competition in the smart contracts space is getting fierce every day, but there can only be one winner. And that would be Ethereum as no other alternative can outmatch its level of decentralization and censorship-resistance. Just my thoughts ;D

It is true no other alternative can overcome ethereum in terms of its decentralization, at times gas price will be much discussed. More the competence level, higher will be the innovation. This way we can expect more potential outcomes in the upcoming years. This doesn't want to be Solona, maybe some other blockchain. Altcoins serve to be hype shifts, but this isn't the same with every altcoin. There can be issues, but it needs time to get things settled.

At present condition solona serves better to be a daily usage currency than ethereum due to the gas price. So, things vary between different assets, only time can give the output. Recently krafton have signed a partnership with Solona for developing play to earn crypto games. It have got ability, if not such partnership won't happen.

Personally think that there is a future for SOL.

Even though yes, it is more centralised than a lot of the other blockchains, its performance when the network is up is undeniably good.

And there are just a lot of new apps that are deploying on the Solana blockchain right now, which is a healthy sign that a blockchain has a strong ecosystem going forward. Certainly worth watching going into 2024 in my opinion.

Some coins will definitely get hype in running, but it really depends on the developers, even though not all coins have a chance to make it big from the start, solana looks good in 2021, many people have taken advantage of the investment, but for the future I doubt solana will repeat like 2021, because typical coins of this kind don't have a big Votality in my opinion, if I'm not mistaken solana is also affected by hype, thus making them bigger in that year

A good ranking on Marketcap, as well as maintained volume in buying and selling activities are the keys to normal growth on the chart. Also its good and user-acceptable blockchain is another foothold for Solana to grow in the future.

I think Sol has had a really impressive 2021 because of its compatibility with the defi scaling model, the Sol ecosystem is also popular and chosen by many projects to develop on it because of its fast speed and cost.  low transaction.  ... But there are still network problems and hacker problems.  The latest hack from the $52 million Cashio Dollar project.  Of course, hacking on the defi platform is not new, but in general, Sol still has huge risks and potential for future development.

this platform growth massively in several months ago, alot new project using this chain due some reason. and also partnership with huge game studio make solana become more reputable in crypto industry. everyone in this market agree, solana was one of best layer 1 project

But there are still network problems and hacker problems.  The latest hack from the $52 million Cashio Dollar project.  Of course, hacking on the defi platform is not new, but in general, Sol still has huge risks and potential for future development.
its rigth . several times solana network stuck , and this point need to improve to avoid same case in future,

My reasons why I think that Solana does have a future is simple, the metaverse is the answer, I know that right now everything is very much based on the fundamentals of the world, war, covid-19, among other things, but in case when these things be fixed (if it is fast) what will come into force will be the Metaverses in all senses, I think that the metaverses will give a lot of life even to the failed NFT games and NFT in general.

Some people don't believe in metaverses, but I think the network they will use for pampering will be the Polygon network and the Solana network, this will make the economy flow much more through this currency.

Roadmap? Serious stuff? I thought you were a veteran;) That used to be all that ICOs did. Some of the best scams had brilliant whitepapers and roadmaps. New projects do not even bother these days with whitepaper :)
Actually we also have to understand that the concept of altcoins is indeed more dependent on hype, so no single altcoin is able to be at a big point like bitcoin, I studied individually about altcoins, but what I found almost all of them were influenced by the ongoing hype, one- the only difference is how big and small the hype is, so objectively as you say is very true, no big Votality for altcoins. Even if there is, only Ethereum and BNB and the rest are pretty much the same pattern they run

That's why I'm trying to make my own argument on the topic you shared, for me it's not enough to look at outside references, then convey to the public, the case of solana has been the most noticed in the previous year, but because of the corrections it brought them back to their previous price.

I'm not trying to argue with my friend, but rather a discussion that can make the experience for me personally and improve it even more, especially since my friend has been on this forum for a long time, for me Solana is not strong enough to last for now, so the hype is going to affect the future

Solana is famous because there is already a live network and several new and old tokens have also used Solana's network so it is an additional option for everyone to trust Solana at this time, but don't forget that Solana's increase in the market is also influenced by market conditions which continues to improve at this time.

Yes, that factor is one of the factors that makes Solana grow rapidly to this day. We remember that at the beginning of its appearance Solana was well received by cryptocurrency users, over the past few years they have increasingly shown their seriousness to develop Solana, one of which, as you said, is the emergence of new tokens that use this network. I am pretty sure that Solana is one of the assets that will grow rapidly in the future.

This is the main issue that Solana is currently focusing on. they must find a solution regarding network outage as soon as possible and improve network security so that the hacking problem doesn't happen again. if they don't find a solution, maybe cases like this will be repeated in the future. and it will create a bad image for this network.

No worries my friend,,, I get you, I guess I just have a bad reaction to most altcoins and that is not because I look down on them or their supporters but because it reminds me about how I started my crypto journey.

I supported a few projects I thought was strong, great tech, great devs etc etc whatever right? But in the end I learned that the technology and the volatility and the ideas actually matter not as much as the one big thing Bitcoin has that others do not.

And that is utility. If nobody uses it,,, there is nothing to stand behind any argument for it.

(Using it to play Dapps does not count)  ;D

So far I also feel what concerns you, that the coin is not influenced more because of the great community, technology and development, we have seen bitcoin as a real example today, not even a big community, great technology and ideas in the development of bitcoins used to be, but now they are the most expensive coins out of all, and I agree that utility is more important than anything

I disagree there about Bitcoin though, it has a really big community, just that they do not look like altcoin "communities" and this is the basis of what I mean in the first place! Altcoin 'communities' are just people staying in a channel so they do not miss airdrops or token announcements or bounties,,, things like that.

Bitcoin communities are many pockets of people who are not interested in markets alone but go out there and use it in the daily lives. Educators, developers, users, and buyers. BTC is not near $50k today because of tokenomics or bounties or marketing or 'community' events on Discord. But because of utility :)

If Solana is able to mitigate issues along the way, then it will certainly have a bright future. Otherwise, not. Constant network outages will make people look elsewhere. Why do you want a high performance blockchain network when it's completely unreliable for day-to-day payments? Stability and reliability is of utmost importance to businesses and corporations. Without these key traits, the project will lose an ample userbase faster than you can imagine.

At least, the project is open source. Hopefully, talented developers will improve the SOL blockchain to move things in the right direction. Who knows what will be of this cryptocurrency 5-10 years from now? Just my thoughts ;D

The Solana project has potential on par with other major projects, but I wonder why anyone would doubt it.
When it comes to prices, it seems that everything is the same, not only Solana, but even old projects like bitcoin and ethereum will not stay stable above or below, because that's normal.
We always judge projects based on the way they work and their community, And of course Solana no doubt, I'm never worried about Solana's future they will get better soon.

The bitcoin community is a classy and financially capable person, they are not involved in channels or various token announcements, airdrops, etc., because they are not as busy as a regular community.

So far bitcoin has been a bit on the green track, this is a sign the recovery scheme is going well, although there is no certainty in the next pricing, and what I see this is the first bullish point to put them on a normal scheme going forward  ;)

I don't see the development of DEFI at the moment, although defi is currently in decline with its rival NFT, I believe Solana is a good project in the future with the blockchain technology they use, Judging from the Total Supply only: 511,616,946 SOL, this is a good guide for investors in investing and trading.

Solana is also a good project in terms of system development and innovation. Likewise, it may need more time to reach the highest resistance price in the global trading market. On the other hand, the exchange market is always fluctuating relying on demand and supply which is exactly the same routine as other altcoins and BTC.

I do agree that altcoins are getting out of hand with this marketing rush type of deals. I mean it's clear to me that we are talking about something that is a bit more like a business instead of a crypto project. Coins and tokens should not act as a business, they are not a business and they should not focus on marketing their project. If you need to do marketing, then you are not a good project to begin with.

If you are good to begin with then you will not need to do marketing because people will see how good you are and will buy as much as possible. If you think you have a good coin/token and it is not high because it lacks marketing, then it is not a good one at all.

Solana's price fell after the highest ATH was reasonable because the prices of all other coins also fell following the development of BTC prices and for Solana's development so far from year to year it is quite positive and always has a good future so there is no denying that Solana is still very worthy for us to keep in the long term.

They put budget for the marketing their project, they are building more people to come into the platform. I think its worth doing to make it popular.

Have not really invest in SOL but its very visible these time that SOL is worth investing because its on the top 6th already in the CMC rank. Its climbing fast, its not yet its ATH so it seem early still. Users make use of Solana because of its cheap transaction fee, it makes it good for its future.

Many say that Solana's price and marketcap are too pumped so that it hasn't been a year since it has entered the top 10, but I think what happened to Solana is worth getting, now the platform continues to grow due to increasingly massive support from third parties. and I'm sure Solana will continue to grow.

This. For sure. They are running a generic business, without an actual product or even service. Copypaste code is the most, and you see that there nowadays is not even a bother with whitepapers anymore, such is the clear focus on short term profit that developing ideas is no longer part of the equation and speculators,,, they specifically look for marketing.

Even in the channels you see whiners asking why there is no marketing or not enough big marketing. It is so totally crazy.

The hype around the Solana blockchain is gradually declining and this is because of so many ruse around it. Solana has a blockchain is a very alternative to ethereum but the projects that make use of the Solana blockchain do not only ridicule it but use it so Scam crypto lovers. All said and done i am still of the opinion that Solana as a blockchain has come to take it own quarter from the crypto space which means it has come to stay
Solana's reputation has indeed gone down as a result of the many scam token projects based in Solana which have an impact on people's lack of trust in projects that are present on the Solana blockchain. even though solana itself is a very good blockchain with unquestionable speed in transactions.

but now solana is starting to bounce back and build a good reputation. so it could be that the price of solana will approach ATH within this year.

I think it is already since it is on the top coins. Some says that it's IMO project is fead but as we can see it's a topc coin on the marketcap in terms of it's crypto volume and price. Although it seems like a bit quiet now for solana because many tokens has emerged as by bep20 tokens that many investors are on, but hopefully solana is still active and well deserved coin now and even in the future. But who knows if Solana making it a $1000  bucks and people who are late to recognize this may have regret in the long run, but that's just my perception, but who knows, anything is to be possible in crypto space.

I don't think it's quiet because of the BSC tokens, but it's because now on the Solona network there are a lot of shit tokens that were just made. no development and just trying to take advantage of the hype from the Solona market which is experiencing a fairly large increase.
and now Solona is also not quiet, market conditions like this are quite reasonable, even when the Bitcoin market is experiencing a correction we can see how Solona is not affected by the Bitcoin correction.
Solona is great for the long term.

The mindset of the majority of crypto traders and investors is already formed if Bitcoin falls = other cryptos fall. In my opinion, when the majority of investors and traders understand crypto fundamentals, it is very possible for crypto prices to rise and levels to decrease and they will move according to their own fundamentals, including SOL. For me SOL Good Investment.

There is no doubt that Solana is a coin that will continue to rank in the top 5, the more developers that continue to develop Solana must be a strong reason that Solana's future is getting brighter, I've used Solana and for fees and transaction speed it's very good, better than MATIC or Waves.

bitcoin for the long term, bitcoin without marketing has become the trust of investors, but still altcoins will compete to get investors. for the altcoin appointed by the op, I think it will remain a priority for investors because it is at the top, and has a large market capitalization, and this altcoin has been around for a long time, I think that's basically my view, and we have to be patient to see the next price reaction

Utility as I said is the difference, but of course, all that happens because of the development and testing,,, although I would actually say,,, without the utility, and the complaints and debugging and feedback that comes with all of that,,, there would be no impetus for developers to band together and say we need to propose new upgrades and fix bugs and continue to tweak the system :)

Again, utility is king. Marketing knows this, they only want you not to know it. Anyway, good luck with BTC seems like another sideway week  :o
i've learned a lot for the discussion of utilities now, and i understand very well that bitcoin doesn't live up to the hype it goes, bitcoin really has a strong Votality, although utility is the main test that affects it, without utility bitcoin today wouldn't be King inside crypto, it is this difference that makes bitcoin more valuable and much coveted today, and wish us all success with bitcoin

bitcoin for the long term, bitcoin without marketing has become the trust of investors, but still altcoins will compete to get investors. for the altcoin appointed by the op, I think it will remain a priority for investors because it is at the top, and has a large market capitalization, and this altcoin has been around for a long time, I think that's basically my view, and we have to be patient to see the next price reaction
Without marketing there will never be an investor's trust in bitcoin journey, priority altcoins are no longer a problem, because they are already above average, for investors this is what they are looking for, without all of that, investors will not waste time to invest. In pursuit of this kind of coin, investors are very good at spotting opportunities, so it is likely that things will go their way

Solona is third coin after Etherium and Polygon which NFTs can be traded on Opensea. This is very big achievement by Solona and clearly show the Futures of Solona that how big rile will play Solona in future. A best trending Projects Like StepN,Gari also Solona network projects. Infact whenever we talk about NFT we would definitely talk about Solona. For me Solona Future is very bright.

I don't really trust Solana, they hype around it isn't organic. 99% of the investors in it are VC and they pay people to pump SOL so they can dump on retail. Tech wise, the chain is a laughing stock. NEAR protocol and the Internet Computer are both faster, more scalable, and offer better security.

Solana, Polygon and Ethereum are three networks that are currently very well developed and in terms of transaction speed Solana also gets a good ranking in this regard Solana is able to provide high traffic, low costs and easy usability. This makes Solana optimized for consumer needs such as micropayments, DeFi, NFT, web3 and gaming, thus it is very clear what developments will happen to Solana in the next few years I think this coin will be a coin that can go further.

I also added Fantom to the portfolio list, I believe the top four altcoins have great potential for the next few years, all altcoins have launched blockchain networks for the payment needs of important transactions in crypto community activities.

Well,,, as long as Solana and the general community of altcoin holders are all like you, commenting absolutely nothing relevant to the post you are quoting and missing totally the point of the conversation that was going on, I can guarantee you that altcoins can "compete" all they want but they are NOT competitors to Bitcoin, they are just fighting to be king of the shitcoin pile.

Sorry to break it to you like this but the truth is the truth.

Lol, well this is bitcointalk, what did you expect from the quality haha. And obviously they are not competition to bitcoin, they never were, and they never could be anyway. I wouldn't say shitcoin pile to where they are, SOL could be a bit shitty, I sold mine because I feel like it is way too centralized with how they are controlling the blockchain and I do not like that, even BNB is more centralized and doesn't do those things which is a proof that SOL is not only centralized by authoritarian as well.

But, people like that would defend it no matter what happens and because of that reason I believe that maybe they can have a future, not a deserved one but a hyped one, kind of like doge.

In my own opinion, I was thinking that it's the bear market that have affected the price of solana, this because almost all coins have not fully recovered including Bitcoin too, so I have hope that once the market takes a good shape, all Altcoins will recover their prices and even pump. Therefore I tbi k solana have a great feature in the next decade.

Haha you are right,,, I do not know why I was expecting more. Usualyly I know to just ignore but every now and then I can fall for it.

I totally agree with what you said about believing in something having a future because of the people that defend it long enough. Dogecoin is a great example but Ethereum is another for me (I used to not trust it one shred for a very long time).

Rest assured of it. The unnecessary problems have been solved, but they are becoming stronger and stronger. Looking at its popularity in this space, I am sure in the future, the Solana ecosystem will compete directly with other leading platforms. I see their development is going in the direction that CZ did with Binance. I believe the future will be huge and strong in every area that can be solved in the market.

Solana is extremely centralized, so I wouldn't consider it as a serious long-term investment. Most people don't care about this, so they will still pour money into the cryptocurrency as long as they're able to make profit in the shortest time possible. Knowing that crypto is mostly driven by hype, I'd say there is a future for Solana. How far will it go in terms of price, will greatly depend on the rules of supply and demand.

I hope the project's developers do the right thing by prioritizing decentralization in order to make Solana stand the test of time. Everything is open sourced these days so if Solana fails, another project based on the same technology will take over the world by storm. As long as Bitcoin remains as the "King of Crypto", nothing else matters. Just my opinion :)

Solana is an altcoin with good fundamentals, with Rank 7 according to Coinmarketcap, although this project is not a hype project like Metaverse,
but Solana has tremendous project development power, it is evident that the progress on their Github is really going well, transparent project like Solana is very hard to find,
and of course this makes investors calm and comfortable, maybe SOL can come up with ideas about the metaverse in their projects, yes, the future is still a mystery, my friend.

well, i also see solana like you said. and now we can see that solana is almost close to BNB in terms of popularity. although for sure I don't think it will be able to beat BNB but it's close enough. and under solana now there is someone who wants to pursue Solana's success, namely Avax.

Altcoins are mainly centralized because in order to get a fast network and have cheaper transaction fees than the rest of their competitors, they have to make trade-offs. All altcoins are just tools for us to make profit over time, they will be replaced by better altcoins. Only bitcoin is the most valuable long-term holding.

About Sol, I still believe that in the coming years it will grow and have a definite place in crypto what it has shown in 2021 is really impressive and this year Luna is what I think it will be like Sol last year.

Solana still has good development, performance, and also a professional work team. Solana future cannot be measured by mere price, although we don't know for sure how Solana will be in the future, at least we can see her potential from how Solana can survive in extreme markets, I have followed Solana since 2020 they continue to grow well, I believe Solana part from a bright future, but we need to be patient how to see Solana will explode again in the future.

Initially i was very much optimistic about solana blockchain as it seems to be very fast and efficent. I also belived that solana blockchian will take over the binance smart chain at some point but my opioion is totally changes atfer i heard of some type of bug in the SOL blockchain. Perhaps we cannot trust the centralized blockchian lile solana only on the basis of speed and less secure as compare to ethereum blockchain.
My advice is that we can still invest in SOL but do not invest everything in solana.

One thing is constant which is change, I believe solana chain will get better but I fear there are many chains that will offer better and possibly overtake in adoption. Although we are yet to see it now, I see many coming in that directions. I will give them to effect positive and high security changes to their chains.

Solana might have some better development but they are not the best at those things in cryptocurrency.Toward the end of 2021 Solana, Near etc did well, they are made of rich team member. thhat have enough money to pump the market and make good return. Such coins have already lost over 90% value.

We can't just believe as the truth is that Solana carries the potential and can really be considered for long-term investment.
What just the team needed to help spread the word of Solana in the market and keep showing big development as this will surely gain more trust and give confidence to the investors.

It wasn't hard for them to improve for they already have the support, they just need to keep moving.

$SOL price gonna rise to 140$ and then you need sell it gonna drop to 100$ and rise 200$ beaware of that SOL has big potential

^ In fact, SOLANA is also a part of the ETH killer which is the SOLANA network has the potential to use by any new project. We saw that there is a development for the SOLANA network and for sure it has the potential to invest. For a long-term purpose, SOLANA will probably be worth it to hold but if you will compare it to the other coins there is much better than SOLANA.
Nevertheless. if you have enough amount to invest in SOLANA, I think it is the best option too if you will hold some of them.

SOL could get better in the future, but it will take a while before they could actually get better, it is going to be quite tough thing and they will have a lot of trouble while doing that as well. I believe that we are going to see them not do so well until they do well. We are going to be through a period of bloodshed and then eventually we are going to end up at a place where it is much better for everyone involved.

This means that we are not going to be getting richer overnight, that is not going to happen and we are going to see it go down a lot before it could get better. I can sense it being even as low as 50 bucks before being 500 bucks, but it could get there anyway.

Of course. Altcoins often sacrifice decentralization in exchange for high-performance and cost-efficiency. Solana is no exception to this. It'll be up to the person to decide which type of Blockchain network to use for his/her own benefit. My guess is that businesses and companies will use the Solana chain, while ordinary people will use Ethereum the most (as it's still the most popular smart contract platform despite the high fees and slow TX confirmation times). Development is still on-going for Solana, so it's likely the project will have a bright future ahead of it.

Hype usually drives prices all the way to the moon, so SOL may turn out to become widely successful in the future if hype persists. As long as there are decentralized cryptocurrencies in play, nothing else matters. Just my opinion :)
