It's about five weeks since the war between Russia and Ukraine started, so many lives have been lost, properties and investments that are worth billions of dollars have been destroyed as a result of the bombing and launching of explosives. Who will end this war?

What can we do to bring a total stop to this war?

We have to come up with some useful information and suggestions to put a stop to these killings every day.

When will this way end?

This war started being very tough when the NATO group fortified the Ukraine people with more weapon and fighting machines and some volunteer came back to fighting the fight for their country home. At this time Russia is going on in the invasion and peace talk not working yet and nobody knows when this will be over except Ukraine want to bow to Russian forces but I don't think that will work , they want to make some vote about not joining NATO or to join.

No one knows, if Ukraine does not become a neutral country then Russia will continue to launch its aggression. You know that Putin is a person who doesn't give up easily, no matter the victims on both sides. As long as Ukraine position on Russia threatens Russia balance with NATO, the war will continue. Btw, I almost left out all the latest information on this, because I was tired of the news, that war is murder by legal means. Terrifying

We might be at the beginning of the WWIII. Just when we think it is over, something somewhere might blow up and everything may get even worse than before. All those dead Ukrainians and Russians won't be forgotten so easily. This is not go away right away.

Even if Ukraine accept all of Putin's terms, do you think it will be the same like before like nothing happened? This shit won't end for years imo.

This will be very difficult to happen because there are really only a few aspects that are driving it right now.
First Ukraine was defeated and destroyed and everything returned to normal with Russian control or the Russians were forced to withdraw from there.
as long as this does not happen then the war will not end at any time. no peace negotiations I think.
Putin is a man who stands his ground if you see now as long as he says that he will do it.

Peace talks hosted by Turkey are progressing the last time I checked. Russia is to reduce her military activities in some area as part of the negotiation but there are still plenty of skepticisms about this. I've read some people say Russia is only buying time to reinforce and then attack again. I'm being optimistic when I say this conflict could end in three or four weeks.

I guess that ww3 can happen in minutes if someone (literally anyone) makes a sudden crazy move! And that will lead to total chaos, for sure! I hope something like that will not happen, but this world is crazy, I learned a long time ago that anything is possible!

It won't be the same for sure! New clans are already being formed and people are being divided into one or the other! Hate is something that remains for the next generations, and politicians are trying to maintain and use that hatred for their plans! I am born and I live in Serbia, I know what that means to live on "one of the sides"! So from my experience, this will never end!

We don't know but what a coincidence because I've read something about a ceasefire for a certain place in Ukraine, in the port of Mariupol so that people there can evacuate.

The one that has announced it is the Russian defense ministry.

The ending of this war is unknown and we don't know how long it will take. It's truly sad that there were a lot of lives that have been gone and there will be more if this war won't stop.

I don't know really if this is a fresh ceasefire because the ceasefire was violated just as it was agreed upon, there is a lot of fear and distrust when it comes to ceasefire fire in this war. Hopefully if they are able to get a ceasefire for the Ukrainian civilians, women and children to be evacuated because Russian soldiers are beginning to make target on civilian buildings just to force Ukraine to surrender.

People hope that the war will end soon. During the recent talk in Istanbul Russia have promised to scale down the military operations. We don't know how far this is true and on the statement Ukraine have believed that the war will slowly gets over.

Maybe the vigorous attack might've been reduced. What this people will do to rebuild their lives. With the next talk we might get better results on the end of the war. Russia keeps targetting the buildings rather than human lives. That's also a reason why there is less sufferings.

There’s news right now about the progress of peace talk and Russia already announced the ceasefire. This could be the beginning but honestly, war will not end easily and this will take more time before they recover especially with Ukraine. Other countries can push Russia to end this war through their sanctions, and now we are seeing a good news about this war. What my concern here is that, the other war in Middle East which is still there for years now.

No one seems to understand the next step of Putin all I hear every day is that peace talk is ongoing but am yet to see a different story from what I see every day.

We don't know how far this war but the only thing we can do is to pray for the people that very affected in this war. I hope that this two countries end the rivalry soon for the better world.

This one is hard to predict and we can’t tell if there will be another war after this especially the tension between China and Australia is rising, same thing with the movement of North Korea, so this is just like a domino effect that we should avoid at all cost.

Russia announced the ceasefire, this can be good and hoping that the peace talk will take effect and they will start their recovery phase. This should end now and reconcile for the benefit of ordinary people.

War is an inevitable action caused by disagreement between to opposing parties. War can be easy to start but to end it is the problem. This happened in everywhere in the world both the advance and the third world nations.

Now, Russian and Ukraine war affects only Countries in the world from one war to another. So the war only ends when another war begins.in the sense that, when they agreed to a particular term and everyone abide in it then the war has ended then another war (agreement) begins again.

If every leader's ego could calm down and thinking about their citizen , maybe this war could end immediately. We dont see it from both leader and they only want they want realized. For humanity reason , alot child be the victim of this war and their future broken due lost their family, property, and education. Our future depend on this child , so we have to keep them well and start negotiating with heart not emotion.

There are no actual answers, furthermore I saw a vlog that Russia is also intimidating Japan. They might be the next tart as the two countries have border issues. There are a lot goin on and Japan also vote for sanctions. Either Russian Leader stop this or somebody else must, that is how it would only stop.

If there had been an agreement between them, many other wars would have ended, not just this one. I think we need to be aware of the true nature of the war, not rely on current media coverage. Basically, it causes negative problems in today's society, but more importantly, it is a change that resets a new life.

Between country are the ones who do make out some settlement towards their issue which cant really be influenced by external factors.Ending war isnt something that could stop in one day or with simple arrangements

   We can not predict the day when the war end and only people know how to end but because of their pride people hard to understand they forgot that they already underestimated people and step the dignity of others. In addition war can make cut the connection of each other but once their first who down and humble theirs is a possible to connect the relationship on what started .

Honestly I'm no fan to this war but since the invasion commenced, talks about COVID-19 has reduced drastically.
It's good to see NATO exercise their powers very well, taking everything with ease cause the world ain't ready for what Ukrainian president is pushing for.
Lately I did hear speculations about peace talks but I do not know how true this might be or how far they must have gone.
It's high time they stop cause a whole lot have desserted their homes and lifestyle already.

Ukraine doesn't have the hardware to start WWIII but because US is on their back, it could trigger the WWIII. Biden seem to have worsen the situation because he wants Putin out of power instead of making the two country at ease. Biden can make a call and agree things to make this war stop at once. All it needs is an agreement and maybe some bargain.

The situation could also start WWIII in the Pacific because of China. And then there's countries already conspiring not to accept USD started by Russia and Saudis.
These are just the countries that often affects to start WWIII, US, China and Russia. But more countries are abandoning USD. So question would be, will the US go to war to maintain the dollar dominance?

But if Putin wants to stay in control of Ukraine, of course the war will last longer and Ukraine will not let Russia colonize his country and no country will let him go. And there will definitely be resistance and struggle that cannot be predicted when it will end.
and what the Ukrainian fighters can do is hold out as long as possible, strong determination and tenacity can be an important factor in the final outcome because it's not always those who are technically and militarily superior who win.
and another reason is because Putin knows the West cannot stop him, in his calculations there will be no military sanctions from the West and he believes Russia can survive and escape the diplomatic and economic sanctions that the west will impose. Putin doesn't care, the proof is Cuba is still alive despite the annual embargo and everything has been thought out by Putin and the war will stop if Putin changes his mind.

I also assumed it would be short and end by now. However it seems Russia can keep going because these sanctions don’t affect them.

However the peace talks seems to be going nowhere. The ceasefire is also going nowhere. Russia wants demands that Ukraine doesn’t want to give and vice versa. Most likely this is going to continue for a few months and eventually the entire planet will get some type of recession. Not looking well to have a war during these difficult times. Especially with Shanghai already on lock down and more supply chain issues.

No, the last time I read the news there was a man who wanted to promote peace but he was poisoned. You know Roman Abramovich, one of the men who pushed for Russian-Ukrainian peace but at a meeting to discuss peace he was poisoned. so there's nothing we can do before one of those countries surrenders.


like I said before, before one of the countries surrendered war will never end. Russia stopped the invasion, or Ukraine chose to surrender. there are only those two options. And Russia doesn't seem to be stopping the invasion since they're already sanctioned by various countries, so they'd better finish. the hope is ukraine, if their president from the beginning according to russia's demands there probably wouldn't be this war.

The negotiations on the 29th showed that Ukraine is ready to become a neutral country, not joining any alliance and not allowing other countries to establish military bases in Ukraine. There have been several ceasefires and the opening of more humanitarian corridors for people to move out of the war zone. But by agreeing to the independence of the two territories of Donetsk and Luhansk from Ukraine, it is almost impossible to compromise and Putin is not one to give up easily. The war is not over yet.

For that action they made and decide to be a neutral country they might change the mind of Putin towards his aggression. We know that this is the root cause of the war and the only thing left for them to retreat or end this war and that is Zelensky will officially declare his defeat to Russia.

Putin is not one to give up easily, he will not stop until his goal is achieved. He called this war a special military operation. The only way is for Ukraine to surrender, but every country has national pride. as I said they can accept neutrality but not accept sharing your people and part of your country with others. If it's Russia in return, I think they will too, cannot lose even a single piece of national territory.

I agree with this. This war would not end if one of the parties had lost, meaning if Russia successfully invaded Ukraine, then that would be the time that the war ended. This is what we should be expecting now since, as you can see, Putin is unstoppable in invading Ukraine. We know that because of the war now, we are struggling because of the prices and are hoping that if ever the war is ended, the prices will get back to normal.

No, the war started when Putin says he is not invading Ukraine but invaded Ukraine, yet calling it special military operation. Nato couldn't do anything than to help Ukraine.

The war is not about emotion or ego, it is about securing territory. Ukraine says he will not join Nato again but yet there are still some disagreements.

Putin is unstoppable to be damaging buildings but he did not conquer as close as Kyiv is to Belarus and Russia, Russia military invaded through Russia border and Belarusian border, yet Russia military is unable to conquer Kyiv.

I don't think the end is in sight even with all the peace talks (that may or may not actually be going anywhere tbh) that are currently ongoing. Plus as we all saw, Sanctions did jack on trying to persuade Putin to stop the war, so unless he gets what he wants I don't think there's any stopping this man. It'd either develop into a full-on suppression of Russia by other countries, or Russia getting what they want either through force or through negotiations imo. I honestly would not be surprised if this become the jumpstart for more conflicts to happen.

Defeat in the sense that also if Russia could be defeated by all means then there will be war no more.

God is the only one who has all power to all things and can decide as to when and how to end the war.


The whole world should stand for Ukraine and against Russia (Putin), already there's a petition being signed and undergoing against Putin.

The US have tried their best by giving Russia sanctions to see if the sanctions will easily change the mind of Russia to end the war but with all the sanctions Russia do not care if it will affect them or not, they are still holding their decision strong and not ready to give up. The war may end up if only Russia get what they want, right now for the war to end it only depend on Russia .

War is the best cure for covid. No need to make 2 or 4 vaccine shots, when you can die faster at war.

This war will end with government of Ukraine annihilation. Otherwise if Putin stops the attack, NATO and other Russian "partners" will feel the weakness of Russia and in next 10-30 years Russia will be under attack. The war can end tomorrow, but military actions will continue for years.

I think Russia has been planning this war for years, probably since 2014 when it annexed Crimea, or some years not long after, they know what USA and European countries can do and they have prepared for it. I saw recently that the collapsing rouble is now increasing back and has gotten almost to pre-war price. Russia definitely prepared for the war.

Until 2014, Ukraine was a neutral country with a non-bloc status enshrined in the constitution. But this did not stop putin from aggression, as a result of which Ukraine lost Crimea and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It was after that that Ukraine took a course to join NATO. So this is not the reason for the intrusion. The reason for the invasion is that putin does not recognize the existence of Ukraine. There is no such country as Ukraine for him.

Exactly, since they have been prepared for the war before now and they are not been intimidated by any country for them to surrender. It will be difficult predict if the war will end anytime soon,for the fact that Russia economy is not getting bad due to the war, the end of the war rely in the hands of Russia.

The war is far from being over as it seems. Both countries have had peaceful talks but still, no positive peaceful conclusion has gotten from all. Upon all that, sanctions upon sanctions keep hitting the Russians from different angles. The UK government expected them to stop the invasion so easily by dancing to their tone. It won't be that easy and simple. The war will still be prolonged more and more until a better consensus is reached.

It's hard to predict when the war between Russia and Ukraine will stop unless we can read Putin's mind. even the president of ukraine has several times proposed peace mediation to putin but always rejected by him. What I'm worried about is that more and more countries will eventually lift their sanctions on Russia because their oil and gas is scarce. Victims of the economic impact that will occur will explode.

You may be right here too because Russia made a law that Putin signed that countries buying their gas will have to pay in Russia currency, ruble. I think the Russian gas is very strategic for the EU especially Germany and this law is meant to strengthen the ruble against the fall that it has experienced since the war because of the sanctions on their banks.

 Buying gas with ruble is not the solution. However, looking at the ruble situation they have found a way to get it back to normal prices as well. So I do assume that they know what they are doing. The funny thing is, if west can't sanction off Russia and create a big problem for them, then why would Russia stop the Ukraine attack ever? The idea was that Russia would economically go to hell and they would stop and beg for the sanctions to be lifted, but they are doing fine. So Ukraine is in big trouble right now, they can't expect much from rest of the world anymore, they just have to face Russia off on the streets and hope that they will stop for some other reason.

Well one thing I know is that we shouldn't tackle war with another war, war has all the abilities to wipe out the entire world especially war between too nuclear power houses.

I think the dialogue hasn't been done properly, I think personal interest should be sacrificed for the peace of the world, Russia and Ukraine are super close neighbors, and definitely has what each other want from their closeness. I think if an agreement can be reached based on the interest of both countries it would be helpful in ending the war.

No you really perhaps didn't get my point that I am saying. I meant that Ukraine is able to fight back and harder because they are getting more military facilities to fight the Russian Army and this make the Russian to also have casualties. The war is turning into more dangerous problem for the world if not taken care.

It could last years, but with the reporting of the Russian army being short on resources along with Putin perhaps turning senile, this could be a short war.

It ends in three ways:

1.) Zelenskky concedes to Putin's demands (neutrality, refusal to join NATO, give up pro-Russian territories)
2.) Putin uses nuclear weapons and overtakes Ukrainian government
3.) Putin withdraws without Ukrainian defeat.

#3 is unlikely. Putin is far too invested in the war to turn around now. The Russian economy is sunk, and accepting defeat would be even more humiliating for Putin than the humiliation he currently faces with an underequipped Ukrainian army successfully countering Russian troops to the degree that we're seeing. Options #1 to me seems more likely. If Zelenskky can accept Putin's terms, perhaps both countries can walk away in one piece. But part of the demands Putin is seeking is that Ukraine cannot arm themselves militarily. If you've seen what happens to leaders when they give up their military defense systems, look no further than Gaddafi and the invasion of Libya. It isn't clear to me when Zelenskky might concede, if ever, but that portion of the deal would be something that I'm sure he's reluctant about. Nuclear weapons are a last resort, but I would not put it past Putin to use tactical nukes out of desperation.

Remember, giving up does not mean losing. And as a head of state who cares about people's safety, which is the only goal to save human life, it's better to raise your hands and let things go without a single life being lost. Not all heroes have to win in plain sight. That is what Zelensky must now do for the common good. The great power of Russia was recognized by the world and it had to be considered when the drums of war were struck by Zelensky and then ordered his people to take up arms. It's better to end it and keep one life even if it means sacrificing oneself to burn. Isn't that the definition of an unsung hero being the only thing a leader should do?

Only physical investments are lost such as real estate but digital investments like stocks and cryptos didn't lost permanently. Their prices are affected by the war but they can recover soon as long as we won't sold them. Putin is the one that can end this war because his also the one that started this. The opposite side are only waiting for him to surrender or to say cease fire. What can we do to stop the war? Nothing other than praying.

We can't join there and stop Russians directly because it's too dangerous but a prayer is powerful and can be done in the comfort of our homes. Killings doesn't stop everyday even if this war have come to an end.

I agree with you on this, for those of us who believe in God and the power of prayers, we need to go down on our knees and pray. The killings and destruction of equipment are much, this war has to be stopped.

only Putin can stop this war. and maybe if the world leaders unite and do something an ultimatum to russia. maybe, putin will change his mind. but for now, it seems neighbouring countries are weighing what are the next actions of putin. at the end of the day, only these 2 leaders will resolve their conflict and come to a peaceful resolution. and we are all hoping that soon enough they will come to that point.

So this war is going to drag for months or even years, until Putin give up. I don't think that the US will lift the sanctions against them. The only problem is that human casualties in both camps, Russians and Ukrainians specially civilians.

I think there will be no reason for Putin to throw a white flag, if he withdraws his troops and ends the war now America and the West will not lift the sanctions, they will even continue to attack Russia because they think that Russia is not as strong as they think.

This war will end if the US and Europe stop imposing stupid sanctions on Russia and they should stop funding arms to Ukraine, they only make the fight more intense.

Regarding the war ongoing between Russia and Ukraine, since there is a country like China and some other countries taking benefits from the war, I don't think the war is going to be over anytime soon. Even after many other countries tried to stop the war but putting Russia under pressure by put them under economic sanctions but China is keep dealing and trading with them so even if Russia cannot provide the products needed for their country they have a greater supplier like China where can trade anything with them, I think there could be a chance if China stops doing any economic deals with them.

They "could be" lost forever as well. Put some bitcoin into some digital driver, and then during the war it will get bombed to pieces and then it's gone forever. Sure its "there" in the technological sense but it is out of reach for anyone. Same goes for the 1 million that satoshi got, he doesn't touch it which means that it is probably forever gone.

Digital stuff could be gone forever as well, but depends on how you approach it, they are not gone out of existence, they are there and that means we could have someone hacking into them one day when the technology is high enough, but for the time being there are some that look like they are forever gone.

I guess, Russian president Putin is fully ready to give peace a chance because his last interviewed show, he is not happy the way the war is eliminating people and their properties in the country. Ukraine and Russian will not reject peace this time around because this war has caused many damages to their economy and to other countries too which other countries are fully prepared to end the war soon. Putin is ready to embrace peace because the suspension they got from sports, import and export has made them to decide to embrace peace with Ukraine, so that it will not cause more damages to their citizens and their economy.

Mr Putin in a statement with the french president Mr Macron  (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60926470) has made it clear that Ukraine shelling will only end when the Mariupol lay down their amours and surrenders. i am scared this might be a gate way to world war iii. Plans on evacuating civilians from the city is still in progress and so far lots of lives has been wasted through this inhumanity by the Russian leaders

I agree with this view, both want the war to stop as soon as possible because it is clearly not in the interest of either side. I think there's a third person who really doesn't want this war to end anytime soon. The deeper the two became involved in the war, the more rapid and irreparable the economic fallout became. So they find ways to prolong this war that can kill Russia and Ukraine is just a pawn on the world chessboard.

We don't need another war to end this current war in Ukraine both countries should sort themselves out and make peace, it isn't that hard time achieve. Russia wants an assurance, Ukraine should give it to them and the war ends. The good thing is that neither the USA (and other NATO countries) have interfered yet probably that's why the war hasn't gone out of hands.

I understand Ukraine would be seen as weak by surrounding but it's better than keep resisting when you know those who you thought will come to your aid aren't coming and the Russia aren't getting tired of the attacks anytime soon. I believe Ukrainians soldiers are just defending without attacking and that's a losing strategy as it give Russia all the time to reinforce and keep attacking.

It "sort of" is like that. I mean obviously it doesn't stop that way, but just look at what the USA did in Afghanistan, they didn't maybe push a button and suddenly stopped, but they just ... left and that was it. Same could happen to Russia and Ukraine war.

All Russia has to do is take the two pieces of land they occupied and wanted to do that to begin with, and leave the rest, put all soldiers there, and do not attack anyone. If they do that, I am 99% sure that along with crimea, they will be given those two new lands, and nobody will attack them and they won't attack anyone and the world will go on like nothing happened. There will be hatred there, but the war will end.

They are making negotiations casually about ending the war but innocent people are dying every day. It does not bother Putin and Zelensky as long as both still have their own lives. And their families are safe, every other person can fry. Selfishness and pride is in both leaders. We see NATO aiding Ukraine and sending troops and equipments to them to execute and battle Russia instead of finding a peaceful way to end the war. This is wickedness. It is the second month of the war and it does not look like it is ending now.

We don't really know who is in control of this war because if this continues and there is no bright spot not only Russia and Ukraine will be affected but also the global economy will become unstable,

Until now i have seen many wars that have not stopped and it is very difficult to make warring countries immediately make peace because the political and economic aspects have been mixed up in a war.  Besides that, the war also benefits countries that are not involved in the conflict ^{(although it's not always like this)}, so it is very difficult to stop it when there are still many people who control it.

It will end when Putin's government either decides to stop his war for him and gives the signal to retreat, or they settle with Ukraine somehow. Putin is not going to admit to a defeat and is not going to give an order himself, he's too stubborn. There's always a chance he'll die before the war ends because there had been rumors that he's got cancer.
One thing is certain, Ukrainians won't give up and they're going to get even more weapons from the West including tanks. I also don't see how a war could last another 6 months because Russians will run out of soldiers, fuel and food long before that.

Unfortunately, the only thing that we normal individuals can do is to support small movements done by various groups even outside social media. If there are any opportunities to boycott a certain product, then the littlest thing can impact the most.


Even if we do come up with useful suggestions, what power do we have as normal individuals do? The war is in the hands of Russian forces pushing their way towards Ukraine, with Putin being a "war criminal" disregarding the Articles of War and committing human rights abuses. Hopefully that the appropriate economic sanctions would at least mitigate the damage done to Ukraine.

This is a tough question. To me, it was obvious from the beginning of March that the active phase of the war will take months, and then there can be localized war situations (after all, we've technically had a war for 8 years in Eastern Ukraine). I still hope that it's months we're talking about, not years, at least in terms of air strikes, blockades, heavy fighting and abundant war crimes of Russian soldiers. That is, if Russia doesn't do something very stupid like hit Lithuania or Poland with air strikes, bringing NATO forces into the war. If that happens, I believe it'll be a WW3 situation, but probably with a way lower death toll and a way shorter time span. Russian army can't properly fight against a much smaller Ukrainian army, but they're no match for NATO forces and can be utterly crushed by NATO very fast.
What can be done to stop the war is the following: give Ukraine what it asks for: fighter jets, tanks, long-range artillery, missile systems. This will help Ukraine free its territories from Russians much faster, finishing the blockade of Mariupol and other cities which are in dire conditions.
Another thing is cutting all economic ties with Russia. The war needs money, a lot of it. So if Russia runs out of money, it won't be able to continue it properly. Seizing all governmental and oligarch assets, freezing their bank accounts, imposing a gas and oil embargo are actions that could speed up the process a lot.
Ukraine doesn't want to conquer Russia, we've already despised imperialist ideas. Ukraine only wants to be free to choose its own path, to have its sovereignty not questioned. Moreover, Ukraine is even ready to talk about employing careful approaches with Crimea and those areas of Donbas that weren't under Ukrainian control for 8 years.
Needless to say, Putin will have to go to a tribunal, and so will many war criminals of this war. Then Russia will have to pay enormous reparations for all the damage it brought to our land. Then Ukraine and Russia can stay neutral neighbors. Not friendly, this won't be possible for decades to come because of what Russia has done to us. But neutral.

I agree with you. Only Ukraine can stop this war because Russia will never stop this war without completely destroying Ukraine. And experience from previous wars shows that Germany, a country that was just emerged from World War I, had not won the war with the then superpowers Britain, France, and America.

I beg to differ on the first point, and I'd point to the Vietnam war as an example of a war that was neither won nor lost.  The United States knew they had to get out of the situation they'd created for themselves without showing weakness, because they knew they'd never win it and US citizens (a lot of them, anyway) didn't know why it had even been started in the first place.  I guess you could say N. Vietnam won, but that isn't exactly true--the US just withdrew its forces.

Putin doesn't have to win or lose this thing with Ukraine; he could just pull back.  I'm sure he'd have to find a reason that would allow him to save face and not look like a failure, but he could do it.  So this isn't an all-or-nothing, win-or-lose situation for him.  It might seem that way in his own head, but it doesn't have to be that way--and I'm hoping he comes to his senses and does the right thing for Ukraine and for his own people, who are suffering under the sanctions imposed by the various countries that have had enough balls to stand up to him.

You are confusing the purpose of these operations. The United States had an attempt to build democratic power there (although I initially considered this a useless undertaking). This war is just terribly depressing and I hope it ends very soon. On the news last night they showed dead children killed from Russian air missiles and it definitely got me down. It’s amazing how wars like this are still happening.
It’s kind of shocking how one man can still get people to take up arms with virtually the whole world agreeing it’s wrong. In my opinion, the only way this is still going on is because many Russians are being fed some insane propaganda and are being shielded from the global opinion.

I am not protecting Russia, but this "dead children" (awful picture :-X) can be Ukrainian propaganda. Every day I see numbers, news, statistics posters, pictures, articles of dead children. I have never seen or been given such statistics and special attention to that during previous war conflicts in the world. As if there are only women, pregnant, children and old people left in Ukraine that are fighting against Russian troops. All I see that X kids are killer, Y missiles were shoot to civilians and Z1 Russian soldiers were killed and Z2 military technics destroyed.

Those were taken quickly and that was agreed by news agencies all over the world, and Russia couldn't get any other place, literally failed to get any other place, which I assumed Ukraine just left those places? War has been devastating the soil of Yemen, Syria, palestine, and Somalia but western media do little care about them. These so-called civilized people from the west are responsible for war all over the world directly or indirectly but now when war kicks their door they are shouting against war.

Currently the support received by the two warring countries is still very strong, especially Russia, which is supported by friendly countries and also China. I think the main target of Putin is to use the war opportunity to annex some other regions as he did to Crimea but that does not mean if he has the opportunity he will not make the whole Ukraine to become Russia, but Nato is Putin's obstacle and making his ambition about this not to go as planned. Putin want to annex Donbas is likely his next mission, but Ukraine is preparing for the war and telling citizens to move out of the region before the fight begins. i believe in this world, the majority of people prefer to live in peace than war but what about heads of state, especially strong countries like the US, China or Russia?  most of the wars that occur in this world must have little to do with the US, so if from the start the country that was already in the neutral zone ^{(not siding with Russia or the US but was friends with both of them)} remained neutral then the possibility of war happening would be very small.

According to the report from Reuters, there is an estimated 24k deaths and 2.1k non-fatal injuries, and about 400 people missing. Approximately 11 million people has been displaced from Ukraine, 1.8k buildings destroyed and property damage of over five hundred billion dollars.

The only way for these killings to stop is a ceasefire or making peace. Russia hasn't achieved their objectives yet, so I don't see any possibility of a csasfire right now. Same goes for peace, Russia wants to fight for the east of Ukraine and the Ukrainians will not give up any land. At the moment an end of the war seems very unlikely to me.

Western countries have already done a lot for Ukraine, there are large weapon deliveries for Ukraine from all around the world. It seems now that Ukraine is fighting with much more modern weapons than Russia. And without these weapons Ukraine probably wouldn't be able to hold against Russia. So the only option the West has is to increase sanctions and increase weapon deliveries.

The longer the war the harder it will be for Putin, if he can't show any victories. Taking more land in the east would give him a stronger hand in the negotiations. I don't see any quick ending of the war. This could likely go on for the next months.

Zelensky is finding it hard to give up territories in the eastern region so as to end the war. This might mean the war might likely extend till only God knows when. However, I do not get Russia, you tried, you failed, you could try again and fail again and you could keep trying until you succeed but do they really think that it worths it?

I mean tens of thousands of dead, with billions in lost equipment and whatever they have, all for just piece of land, plus all the future money lost because now people will be looking for alternative ways to live without needing energy from them as well. They lost so much just to win so little, makes no sense to me at all.
