Title: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales!
Post by: virtualdn on June 13, 2022, 08:34:42 AM
We've been here before, you are just making the whales richer, selling your precious BTC for pennies (crappy fiat). The storm will pass, hodl, or try to accumulate even more BTC, it's a great time to buy for cheap. We will make it this time too. Even if BTC goes down to $15,000 nothing is forever. Remember $20,000 down to $3,000? Been through that storm too. Remember, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. To the Moon!

I know that you have been holding Bitcoin for years now mate,  ;D

And it's good to hear that from you reminding us again how precious BTC is, as the supply is dwindling. And currently, the price is now below the threshold of $25,000 and there are a lot of panic sellers, pushing the sell button and they might regret their decisions in the future if the price goes to $100,000 minimum. The whales though are going to be happy scooping cheap bitcoin from beginners and panic sellers. But it is what it is, those who are selling today might have to learn it the hard and expensive way.

Anybody that properly understands Bitcoin wouldn't be selling at this point in time, because now is indeed the best time to accumulate.
Selling right now is like giving out the freedom you already have to someone else because BTC is the only freedom form of money in the whole world , Thus loosing war against GOVT, banks and the current financial system and you become slave to inflation and loose some percentage of your money every year to inflation as you hold fiat.

I am always admired you mate , as I have seen couple of your posts/threads about keeping your funds since the beginning and never sell a single satoshi , that's why I trust your stand and advise to not let Whales take our Bitcoins by selling in this dip.

So No I am not selling anything from my Bitcoin wallet, i will rather sell my altcoins than giving my precious coin to Whales .

Thank you for your encouragement mate  :-*

But, I will call it impatient or amateur other words market feeders. But i will say do you really know their situations right away? Remember whenever the market is down tension seems to be higher than ever so most at times some bitcoin holders at point can not control it leading them to sell. conspicuously speaking I was ones in that stage and i kept regretting whenever i sell of and the market bounces back again.

Facts: Anyone who can control these few things can be able survive the market and hold for long time;
1. Fear
2. Tension
3. Greed
4. Indecisive
5. Non-Informative

All these listed things are what most of here battles with all time.

You, me, and a few hundred or thousands more were here in the sense that we know how this game is played, but unfortunately for all those millions of investors who do not understand what Bitcoin is, moments like this turn into a nightmare or something much worse. If for most Bitcoin is just a way to profit in the short term, then the thing is very simple - buy before halving, wait at least 6-8 months and sell at the peak.

However, I do not believe that this dump is caused only by retail investors, but that we are paying the price again by not using Bitcoin in the way we should, but playing with some versions of crypto banks that sooner or later experience the fate of regular banks.

With the price dropping so much, I am seeing a ton of people who are considering selling, and some that literally got out of the market as a whole just because of the drop. I am very sorry to see this, people really do not have any clue how the markets work. I mean crypto has been like this forever, it crashes very very hard, and then goes up very very hard as well. We were literally 7k at the start of 2020, reached nearly 30k by 2021 start, and 68k during 2021 as well, that is a huge huge increase, and nobody talks about how we could have the same thing nowadays, they all talk about how we should leave and "crypto is a scam", thats a sad thing, these people will not be profiting when it goes up.

Hodling is a thing of patience and understanding. With the current downtrend do you think holders that bought high would be able to withstand the trend. I understand that market isn't favourable and surely price will be up again only those who were patient with the wave would sail merrily. Buy as much as you can now!

Inflation and potential market crash on US are the main reason why there's a FUD in crypto. The current FUD that fuel this bear market has a basis, unlike those years that you mention when Bitcoin grow exponentially after the dump was pure manipulative FUD by the news outlet or China. There's a chance that we really go deeper when the economy of US worsens but I'm still hoping that Bitcoin will be the parking space for the money of US investors that want to dodge stock market crashes and hyperinflation. It's either we will see mega dump or pump but this is a high-risk high reward so consider cashing out some of your Bitcoin especially if you need it financially and hold only what you can afford to lose.

There's a perfect opportunity to hold.

Buying the dip worked many times before, there is no reason for it not to work again. It probably will. We'll just have to wait for the FED to lower them interest rates again. Sooner or later they'll have to stop raising them and that's going to be the beginning of the next bull market.  The next bull market will bring a new ATH and possibly above $100k and then everybody will able to make up for their losses. You'll just have to be patient like the OP said.

In times like this, we're going to see who force capitulates simply because they overly allocated to bitcoin/crypto; with not much fiat to buy (or with no income to use for DCA-ing).

What makes BTC precious, except the fact that people were clicking the Ask and accepting the higher prices? If no one wants to accept the Ask, you're left with nothing. Nothing is not precious.

the price is going down because next gen asics are coming online with lower bottom-line costs for the most efficient miners. meaning some larger investors can afford to mine more rather than just buy. thus buy support declines and 'mine-to-sell' increased.

meaning THEY can sell cheaper. the thing is though, while the hashrate is on the level or going up. that efficiency cant last and cant go down..  that extra hashrate arriving right now =faster blocks=more blocks per difficulty target = increasing the difficulty, which then results in it getting harder for them to mine thus more expensive later.

this balancing act helps keeping the costs from slipping down when hashrate is going up. meaning those asics this week currently able to mine real cheap wont be mining at the same cheap rate in a few weeks and so their costs go up and the less coin they would willingly sell cheaply.

july is a new financial quarter, meaning new electric contracts, new OTC trade contracts which looking at the whole electricity/fuel market of the world will see power costs increase for new contracts. which means demand for a higher sell price even for the bottom-line efficient miners

long term view is we are approaching a bull market soon, how soon is the question(how fast the chain reaction just explained plays out), but all signs are in that direction
..
as for the smaller less efficient miners and home hobby miners.
with residential electric rates going up due to world politics and corporate stuff causing power companies to increase their rates. people that could just about mine wont be mining and find it far far cheaper to just buy coin. again more support for buy markets and less support for sell markets

let the losers that want to lose, lose. let them shed their coin and hand it to those that want to keep it. im not saying let the small guys hand it to big guys.
im saying let the afraid/cheap mining big guys sell their coin to lots of small guys.

the new holders of recently acquired coin will set their cost at this amount. meaning they wont want to sell for less than their acquisition cost anytime soon so they wont be trying to push the sell market, thus less sell pressure.
eventually the sell pressure will fizzle out and more buyers than sellers. meaning the price will start to rise

no one can precisely predict WHEN all these events will happen. but all signs are pointing in the direction that it will.

it's a simple mindset for the market and you give bitcoin as an example.
whales will continue to wait to net even manage to spend bitcoins as the storm continues. The past has made people new to btc devoured by Fuds and they sell assets in a slump and lack of fiat as you mentioned.

whales know the risk of cutloss and they take advantage of free funds to make buying momentum monitored.

not once bitcoin / crypto crash, since 10 years ago even more. it should be a momentum to increase ownership not the other way around

It's true that we've been here. If you're new then for sure that no ones to blame if you're ever feeling to panic.

But for us, who have been here during the toughest bear market like in 2018, we know what to do and we just have to chill and if you have money to spend, buy bitcoin.

Being patient is one of the factors that will save you survive this bear and will also help you to be one of those people that will have a good moment when we're back in bull.

If there's one bad thing of the falling prices, that's probably the concentration of bitcoins in hands of those who already have a lot. That's only an assumption, and surely there are exceptions (when big institutional investors panic sell), but overall those who have a small amount are also more likely to be able to afford it less, and in bad times might require fiat or might need to have a certain amount of money and can't see the price getting below that. So I wouldn't blame people for selling at a low price point without knowing their circumstances.

If we take an example from the events when bitcoin fell in price from $20.000 down to $3.000, which is almost ~7 times, then in the current situation, bitcoin can fall in price to $10.000. It is not necessary that we will see this and this is not at all a reason for panic. Almost any negative situation can be used for good, and if bitcoin will costs $10.000-15.00, then this will be a great opportunity to buy at a discount. Well, to sell during the fall of the crypto market, it will only fix the losses, make yourself poorer and make bitcoin whales richer. Do you really want this?

The news about the BTC price decreasing is alarming to some people who are new in this industry and they haven't experienced when the time the price was almost hit $2000 a few years ago. For the newcomers, this price today is the lowest and they are now saving as much as they can from their investment by panic selling everything which the benefits will always go to whale for another long time holding. Can't really blame the people who are selling their BTC right now maybe because that's the only money they have to survive but they are causing problems for others as well.

Remember the time when you invested in Bitcoins.
Recall the thoughts and expectations you kept while purchasing the Bitcoins.
It’s not late yet, just hold the Bitcoins for a more longer period of time.
Once you have shown faith in Bitcoins, so give it once again.
Rather I would suggest each of one to buy Bitcoins at the current price. It’s like a Mega Sale in the Crypto Business.
Just Buy the Bitcoins now and wait for some months. Then you will be definitely proud on yourselves.

Yes I know that right. I regretted about missing to buy BTC when it crashes down to $3k because of self-doubts and fear. And I am not going to make the same mistake again. I started doing dollar-cost averaging (DCA) last month with Bitcoin when the price was around $30k+. Despite that I am at a loss with my BTC holding, it doesn’t change my long-term goal as I will keep accumulating Bitcoin every month with my extra “not beer” money. So I won’t sell.

The bitcoin price is down 10% so far today, seems like some whales are panicking and trying to get out at any price. I am really wondering who would be selling his bitcoins at 25,000 USD? There is no way that I would give my coins away so cheaply. In the past I made the mistake once to sell all my cryptos during a bear market, never again. The best thing we can do right now is to HODL. Longterm I still believe in a positive bitcoin trend and we will see a new ATH above 100,000. The only issue is if we rely on bitcoins for our monthly income, then we are forced to sell at the current lows. We should be buying now rather than selling. Eventually the world has to realise that inflation will reduce the value of fiat money drastically, crypto currencies are the only future.

But don't you guys wonder who are selling at this point that causes the price to go down. Few days ago, I thought that $28k was a strong support but here we are now almost reaching $20k. Are these sellers just knew bitcoin when it started to surpass the $20k ATH and they didn't experience the huge crash way back 2018. Selling at this point will be a huge regret to many people once the whales accumulated enough and market starts to go up again.

Been there, experienced it. This is the reason why I am not panicking at all.
It feels a different sense of relief when you know that bitcoin will definitely recover from the dump and create a new ATH.
I am not selling my precious coins lower than $60k. In fact, I will accumulate more at regular intervals to make my stack bigger.
This is the only strategy that will work wonders in the long run.

Believe me, I’m crossing all fingers and taken oath not to click on the sell button at any cost! I’m in the position where my crypto portfolio is more than 60% down considering multiple entry points while buying. I’m scared like hell but I’m still holding on to it and trying my best not to sell.

In fact it has become a barrier now. For example even in the situation of urgency I could not sell my bitcoins since it’s value is tiny and I will get nothing from it, but loss. Better to adjust the emergency funds from friends or banks and survive that’s my goal at the moment.

I've also been there, even experienced it several times when bitcoin went up high and then dropped drastically, and I think especially those who have been in this industry for a long time have also experienced it so things like this have become commonplace.
we know what whales are and also know what role whales play in this industry, so I'm not going to sell them at unreasonable prices. This is actually the best time for me to increase my holdings, and given bitcoin's history of going up then dropping back and rising back above the previous high price.

Not really good to sell right now if you are at loss because you will not get a chance to recover your capital once bitcoin price pump up again. Much better that is to hold until recovery phase happen and grab another capital to use for buy back at the cheaper price because for this we can maximize our profit in future. We already see the worst and the current happening which remind us not to commit a mistake like we did on year 2018 where people get panic and never bought anything when price of bitcoin and all alts are in so cheap.

No, people who understand Bitcoin will still sell but it depends on the purpose of their selling because we have people who sell their BTC because they hold almost their funds in BTC and there's no way they can spend on their daily activities without BTC, some will sell for emergency purpose and some will sell through panic which is what I don't support.
Like you said this is time for accumulation which I agreed but at some point, some things are more important than what we want though and it is better to set DCA in other not to miss this current opportunity presented by the market.

It gave opportunity to many to earn good. But as like with any financial system. Bitcoin too is becoming holding of few uber rich while people like us will be making few bucks only. So Hodl. The panic drives the storm more than what the initial impact did, nothing we can do to stop them. I doubt any of these panic sellers have the idea to read threads on this forum when the market is having rapid movements.

If the price goes below 20k USD I will start buying again, which I had kept on a hold during these jittery movements between 28-30k USD. Even so the 15k USD range is also possible, so keep fiat at hand if you want to take advantage of this. I do expect the next support level to come in at 20k because of the preference to terminal digits and round figures.

The reason whatsoever be behind this, newbies should treat them as just numbers. Buy at the low but be careful during a bear dump because lower than normal prices are possible.

While we've gone through various bear currents at every phase, we still cling to the belief that this is normal. Not because of FUD or things that make us sell in times of decline like this so believe me next year we will be much crazier. Bitcoin is natural, and when the naturalness of a bear market arrives, we just need to take a break and buy more. Instead of selling, remember that the current salesperson is the expression on the face of regret that we will see in the future.

I may have forgotten something so far that 1 BTC = 1 BTC, so we can forget the latest USDT estimates because overthinking a 13% decline will create panic in portfolio asset management. So the bear market will probably persist into the year, although the decline occurred in the last week but it will take months to recover. We will be preparing for a new ATH in the next few years, such pattern of movement is always repeated in the history of BTC from year to year.

Yeah, but we cannot force them especially those who are new in crypto, if they want to sell btc for good then let them, it will be their lost for sure but maybe not if they did that because they badly needed that fiat. Whales is waiting for this special moment, they will accumulate as much as they can, new and small traders might sell but old traders or those who are willing to take the risk will still hodl it till the end.

it depends on the psychology of each person. The market as it is today is a good opportunity to add to the bitcoin payload. But do we still have the money to buy it?
we are expected to have some spare money. bitcoin crash to $ 15,000 could happen quickly, we must be prepared with all the risks that will occur. The storm will surely pass, who can survive they will get the result. Many say after this storm the $100,000 ATH will be reached, I would hope so too, but we also need to be prepared for other possibilities. need to be patient and increase the amount of bitcoin portfolio.

This is true, I have been here not only during 2018 but during 2014-2015 period as well and I know that this is temporary. Of course there are still some situations, like the business I am part of is a business that deals in crypto and I get paid in crypto, so that means when the crypto is not bull at all, and it is in a bear market like right now, it is dangerous because the business could go badly and I may earn less, which is a scare.

But for investors, it is really nothing shocking, I have investments made from all over the place and I can easily say that I am fine, why? Because I know for a fact that it will recover, don't know when, but it will, so I am quite fine.

Only those weak hands will do that, selling their bitcoin because they started to get panic seeing bitcoin consistently dropping its price. And when they start selling, they will all bound to lose and make them poorer, while those big whales are celebrating again because everything turns out in their favor that makes them even more richer. But for those strong hands, everything we have seen in the market right now is temporary so always take the big advantage and buy a lot of bitcoin as we don't hold its price after today.

People should have this kind of mindset about 1BTC=1BTC and even if its monetary or fiat value had decreased which means that it isnt really over but rather its an opportunity to buy in bargain or in big discount.

Just mind yourself about on possible events to happen on next years specially on that halving event which is fast approaching. We couldnt tell precisely about u-turn or assurance of price increase but we've been there.

We've seen the worst back into those 3k days but eventually we did really make out some nasty price uturns and breaking ATH moments.

This may be the ideal one to think. But sometimes, we don't know what will happen to us. not everyone is a holder or long-term investor. SO, we cannot be sure enough that we will not sell our BTC. Sometimes, we need money to cash out also r take profits. But yes,  1BTC=1BTC

It doesn't mean you cannot be. We've all started somewhere!

If you need money to cash out, it means you've invested too much. This is a problem of many people who get too greedy. They have 10k in the bank, they invest it all and the price goes down and they get stuck in this greed not wanting to take a loss and at the same time begging family and friends for some money to pay the bills.

I'm heavily invested, probably 90% of all my money is in bitcoin, but that 10% that I have lying around is enough to survive another 2 years if I need to. I won't be able to buy myself nice things, but I won't be going into debt either.

And they feel worried when seeing their portfolio going down, then cashing out is possible to secure some of their money. I believe this was the common sentiment of those people who think investing in Bitcoin and crypto will make them rich instantly without considering some instances that they may lose if being triggered with panic selling just like this time.

That is to say that real investors could wait longer and neglect market pressure while casual investors are easily got affected by the FUDs, and price fluctuations.

Right now the small volume of bitcoin holders will be in a pathetic situation. They don't know what to do, whether to cash it out and wait for an opportunity or just keep hold. Majority have suggested to spend keep thyself strong holding the bitcoin and trying to accumulate more. However the panic won't let them do what the mind suggest.

Now majority will regret they could've sold at a higher price, so thag now they could've bought at a lower price increasing the volume of holding.

We will sell our bitcoin coins in this market without any question. How do we sell bitcoin where our bitcoins are bought at $40k to $30k. But now is the time to buy our Bitcoin. Everyone knows that Bitcoin will one day go up to 100k dollars. We've all noticed that Bitcoin has gone from $8k to $69k just waiting for the time here. Be patient, maybe soon we will see a better bitcoin market.

Bitcoin simply isn't convenient enough for every day use. Some people (including myself) could say that Bitcoin wasn't designed for every day usage(despite what Satoshi was claiming in the whitepaper). The expectation of 1 billion daily Bitcoin users will never happen in reality and there's nothing wrong with that.
Nobody is saying that Bitcoin is supposed to be the number 1 global currency. I would be perfectly fine, even if Bitcoin never becomes truly mainstream.
I don't think that anyone could verify the accuracy of this statistical data, but 30 million people seems like a pretty good number for a 12 year old technology.
BTC reaching 1 billion active users seems more like a fantasy, rather than an achievable goal.

Lightning is perfect for every day usage of Bitcoin.

Sites like https://stacker.news are using sats via lightning in a great way. Bitcoin is being transferred daily in sites like that. It's like magic!

Lightning really is changing how people use Bitcoin. It's almost instantaneous, and almost free of fees as well.

The worst time to sell anything is in a down market. Always remember you technically haven’t lost anything until you sell. Sure your value is down (a lot) but you’ve still got the same number coins, meaning you’ve got the ability to grow that value back. Of course if you sell them then you don’t and you have to reply on trying to time the market properly, which is an extremely difficult task.

Many people made the mistake of selling off their bitcoins during bear season 2018 and exiting the market, this is an opportunity we should not continue to miss and it's time we correct our past mistakes mine.

Instead of selling now, this is our chance to fill our pockets on the cheap and this opportunity really only happens once. We missed our chance to buy bitcoin at 3k four years ago so don't miss your chance to buy bitcoin at 20k this year.

This is what people don't understand at these times and we will see lot of threads in the forum saying bitcoin will fall below this and that level and many more but they fail to make the decision of holding. Most of them might have invested at high price levels also but when they see these high dips they start panic sell to whales making them earn high profits and loss themselves. So we will always face these situations but we need to hold at our end.

Your post makes sense to the experienced Bitcoiners, but what would a random person think, when he reads it? He would think that you are a desperate lunatic, begging the other lunatics to HODL and NOT sell their BTC, because the price is about to crash even further down and the community of fanatic Bitcoin supporters, who are worshiping Bitcoin as a cult will lose more money. ;D
I totally get your point of view, because I've lost money in the past, due to panic selling. On the other hand, I totally get the point of view of the Bitcoin/crypto haters and the FUDsters. If you look at Bitcoin/crypto from a different perspective, it really seems like the sky is falling down. I don't believe in the crypto Apocalypse, but the crypto winter is going to be hard.

I trust your post here and indeed the whales will benefits this downfall but what can we do? it looks like there are so many of us here that already sold their coins while we are trying to hold them out.

this is the problem whenever there is a movement , specially when there is dumping? those weak handed people sells their funds without even thinking , Hope this will change eventually and people will understand that there is a need to hold than sells.

True. I understand some of us might not always have enough funds to continue to buy during market dips like this but if any investor has not sold long before now to start buying back during this time don't have to sell now, it no longer makes sense. From all previous market dips, Bitcoin has shown that it can always bounce back and is still the best for investment and even more so HODLing over a longer time.

Well if it's related to your business, you are aware that it's market dependent and the profit that you'll be making is reliant on it.

And these situations are not forever, we know that they won't be at the bottom forever and it's going to change over time. We just have to do the same thing that we did when we're on tough days.

You buy or just hold and don't panic.

You choose any of them.

Holding bitcoins when the price doesn't a simple correction is pretty easy for everyone w\but whenever the price is falling down every day to lower levels and past the key support levels while most people are expecting to see more reactions from these levels is pretty hard for everyone even for the long term holders this won't be easy to hold during this time and due to the FUD many investors and especially the people who are newbies will do panic ins the other hand some people will pace the stop loss and during the sharp movement, we will see many of them triggering, while mostly the whales are gathering placing buy orders and waiting for these people to sell.

OK honest question: what's a whale?

A whale representing big fish, or Cryptowhale means these people are holding a huge amount of crypto. when the market is down people say "whales selling on the market"
because there's a big effect on the price because they are holding a huge amount of coins.

This may be the ideal one to think. But sometimes, we don't know what will happen to us. not everyone is a holder or long-term investor. SO, we cannot be sure enough that we will not sell our BTC. Sometimes, we need money to cash out also r take profits. But yes,  1BTC=1BTC

Indeed, BTC has already proved many times that after each major drop in its price, it then grew even more. However, some BTC holders are frightened by this situation on the market and this is a normal process, since there will always be those who lose and those who gain more, unfortunately everyone cannot be in the black in the market. But be that as it may, the situation is forcing many to make a choice right now and those who stand up will probably get more. For me personally, this situation with the fall in the price of BTC once again showed that you need to have several assets, as well as cash, because who knows what will happen tomorrow or in a week, and I don’t really want to lose everything.

if a old time holder who bought at say $10k is now afraid and wanting to sell at $20k thinking he missed the chance to sell at $70k and thinks he wont see $70k again this year. let him sell at $20k

the buyer of that coin wont treat it as the old timers $10k purchase price but the new buyers $20k purchase price.

meaning less people with coin below $20k purchase price and more people with coin over $20k.
thus bringing more support for people who refuse to sell at a loss where that break even/loss point average is more supported and stronger above $20k than last month

The thing is, time won't go back and our lapses won't be restored, if we sell our precious BTC now then it's on us and we might going to regret if we are seeing skyrocketing prices if the market starts to recover. This drop in the price of  Bitcoin is favoring only those are investing in the business. These are people that can hold Bitcoin for a very long time hoping that the price would one day go up. But there are so many businesses that rely on Bitcoin for business transactions. These companies own bitcoin because it serves as a legal tender to buy goods and services both internally and internationally. Most of these business might not be able to survive this drop in price. These business would be forced to sell their Bitcoin because of fear that it might still drop because the effect would be more terrible on them.

It is understandable, there are a lot of people who didn't know how bitcoin could recover during that period, plus it was only the second time we had a big fall, first was from 1.4k to 100-150 range, and the second came when it was 20k to 3k range, and the first one didn't had many people, so majority of the crypto had their first big crash in 2017, but we are in 2022 right now and we know that it could recover and how it does.

So right now, it is a bit harder for people to think that it will never recover, there are people who sell even today, that think it will recover, but they just want to sell now and buy cheaper later on, so there are more people who know it will recover.

No, you are smart because why you are here? You are one of the earliest people to get involved in btc, that is the time where people only care for its technology and not about its price. I think you just panic that time seeing the price feel from 20k down to 3k causing you to not think properly. You could have done a better idea but that was too late to realize it but anyway don't let the same thing happen again.

Right now, the situation seems to repeat where the price is heavily dumping. I bet you are now much calmer this time and I hope that you don't need money urgently. If yes then you can start buying btc's now. Just left something just in case the price fell more.

For those who do lack knowledge and awareness on past market events then they are the main ones who do panic sell and freaks out whenever they do see the market declines unlike into those people
who had been aware into those past events where they had already presume or anticipate about recovery which is something true and could really happen. The main question is on when it would happen?
Dont mind about recovery first but rather minding about on not to sell but rather accumulate as much as you good. These prices are indeed low or bargain where chances or situations or events
like this doesnt really come often with those high percentage drops.

Am still suprise whenever I see people panic and sell their bitcon, we all know that bitcoin will definitely bounce back so why panicking and selling at lost, the current bear market gives everybody opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hold the once they are having already. The only people I believe they should even panic are the newbies that have not witnessed bear market before, but if you have witnessed bear market I believe you shouldn't panic and to the newbies my advice for everyone is not to sell you coin at lost, hold and definitely it will bounce back and you will smile later just hold.

What we see now is just a reflection in the past, and that the crypto market history just keeps repeating itself. So there's no need to get panic and get threatened with this market crash, as everything won't always stay below but certainly recovers after some time. Instead, we should be even smarter facing all of these as this is not the first time to happen, and that whatever happened in the past will always give us lessons on how to face the present and future more wisely and brave. Not only in the crypto market, as this is also applies in our real life's situations.

The whales had been trying all possible best to buy out Bitcoin which is the reason why they keep shaking the price of Bitcoin so that the weak will sell it out and they can have all our holding to themselves. The dip will only take some times before it is over so it's necessary to wait for the summer season so we can smile again. So many investors had been asking questions of whether to sell or hold but since the market is already down, holding will be a good option now.

Exactly. Only a fool will sell Bitcoin when it's going down in terms of Fiat. The latter is going to collapse anyway, so it's best to hold on tight to your BTC until the dust settles. Those who've been a long time in crypto land, know this is only temporary as prices usually bounce to even higher levels than before. In a "hyperbitcoinized" world, you'd be paying for goods and services using Bitcoin directly without ever having to worry about its value relative to Fiat. Of course, this will only happen if most governments ditch Fiat in favor of Bitcoin.

With El Salvador, the Central African Republic, and now Brazil favoring Bitcoin as legal tender, it should only be a matter of time before "hyperbitcoinization" becomes a reality. If you hold your BTC up to that point, then you will become filthy rich. Who knows what the future holds for BTC? Just my thoughts ;D

On the other hand, those whales have huge appetites and it is unknown when they will have their bags filled fully. They have been doing since, probably, December 2021 ? Isnt it to long to count price decline as "whales are accumulating as much as possible"? Because they understand they cant get every single Bitcoin on the market. I dont believe this drop is somehow connected with whales, this is just another financial crisis or temporary complicated financial situation on the market.

Selling Bitcoin at this troubling time doesn't only make the whales richer but it gives them more power. If whales accumulate more Bitcoin because of this panic sell they may have the power to manipulate the price of Bitcoin in future. Just as the natural whale have the capacity to cause a storm because of it's size, feeding these Bitcoin whales would make them grow fat thereby increasing or improving thier ability to cause a shock or wave in the Bitcoin market. These whales can be used by anti-bitcoin forces to manipulate the market. I know it is not easy especially for businesses and individuals that rely on Bitcoin for transactions but the best decision every Bitcoin lover should make is to hold their coins.

It seems to me that now selling bitcoins is generally the wrong decision. Considering that this is an investment and many can make good money on it - why do it?
This actually depends. We don't know how many folks have been holding since $3k and bought it there and even passed the ATH still holding it.

So if there's an urgency that they have to sell at the current price now and it's the reason for them to be in a better situation by doing it. Then we can say that it's not a wrong decision.

But if you've bought those bitcoins at a higher rate and then you're about to sell now, then that's the obvious wrong decision. Not everyone who holds now have bought the peak.

I totally agree with you, and seeing all the new threads and messages popping up on the forum suggesting to sell because we'll go down to $1k-5k-10k it may means we are getting closer to the bottom. But anyway it's not the first time, it won't be the last, just be smart.

The whales started to act by spreading a lot of analysis saying that bitcoin will continue to fall to its lowest, but should we believe all the analyzes made by them for spread panic?
I don't think so, nowadays many investors or novice traders are smart enough so it's hard for them to believe what the pope is saying right now, indeed bitcoin is currently in a pretty bad phase due to the decisions taken by the FED, but that doesn't mean the situation now  this is the end of bitcoin, Bitcoin has strong fundamentals and so far the price often gets turbulent in the market but is not bitcoin bounce back?

Hi, I agree with some of your arguments. That the pope understands that the total supply of Bitcoins in the market is limited and has nothing to do with it. One of these declines occurred amid the macroeconomic situation and market concerns over the potential decision of the Fed to raise its benchmark interest rate higher in order to suppress inflation.

I must admit it has crossed my mind to sell off just a little bit of my BTC in case the global economy crashes even lower. However, I don’t wanna have weak hands. There’s no point in selling cheap to whales waiting to gobble them up.

I’m lucky that I’m not reliant on my portfolio for my daily expenditures. If I had to worry about putting food on the table then I might make a different choice. But for me I’m a long hold on bitcoin. I really believe in the technology and the value that it brings.

When you really believe in something you can see it through the dark times and find the light at the end of the tunnel. Bitcoin will rebound and reach new heights it just may take a bit of time for the economy to recover before it gets there.

Yep, that sounds right. It's happening not for the first time, there were several similar crashes through the history of Bitcoin. Of course, every time it happens some of us have moments when they think, "What if this time it will never recover?". And it's natural. Folks who never worried of anything have died out on the evolutionary road. So, yeah, we do worry sometimes, but then we turn on rational thinking and start remembering what followed previous crashes, and we understand that saying to yourself, "This time it's for real! This is the end!!!", is kind of irrational.

It's important that you don't sell at a loss after 70% from the top. If you sold at $40k it's completely understandable. If you sold at 20 it's pretty sad because you've waited all that time and survived all that downtrend from 65k just to sell at the lowest possible level when the chances of a recovery are the highest.

Global recession will mean your fiat money will lose value as well. You can expect 10-20% inflation depending on where you live and at least 20% increase in gas and food prices. Selling bitcoin doesn't mean you'll save yourself from losing money in a recession. People forget that moving their bitcoins to an exchange, paying trading fees, withdrawing fiat to a bank account and paying taxes, all cost you money. By doing so you are not saving yourself from anything, but losing even more money.

Newbies really don't understand what crypto is all about. They believe everything is reds and roses, when in fact, that's not really the case. Crypto is not about getting rich quick, but rather about decentralizing money as we know it. Utility is what matters instead of market prices. Believe me, Bitcoin is a lot more than just a currency. It's a movement and a revolution aiming to reduce banks and governments' dominance over the economy for good. After all, trusted third parties really eliminate one's ability to experience true financial freedom.

Most people are into crypto just for the money, so they will never take their time to understand what it's all about. At least, Bitcoin is working as intended. Who knows how far it'll go in the future? Just my opinion :)

in terms of the value of BTC nothing has changed, but unfortunately as size is fiat, so by converting to fiat, the price will decrease even more when in a bearish situation like today, therefore this is what causes our psychology to be unstable, and causes a bearish season prolonged. but for those who have a clear mind and dare to take risks, then now is the time to start collecting bitcoins, so that later we can reach the time of glory

I believe that we can only loss if we sell at loss so never sell at loss for good.

So if you are investing in crypto you have to be emotionally strong. So that you can go through these ups and downs

I think they have been buying since forever, I remember whales from 2014 era to this day, which means that they have always been wanting something. There is nothing wrong with having money in the market, just do not keep it there for too long.

There are two options in my mind, one is long term (which is what I am doing) and buy and hold for a long time, but at the end of the day you would have to make sure that you will not need that money, because if you ever need it when it is down, you will make a loss. Second is trading very quickly, like literally buy from the market price and sell from the market price, that is the way to go, because that means you will not be letting others see your money and take advantage accordingly.

I can see a lot of panic selling happening in the market these days. The obvious reason is the falling value of bitcoin. But if you take a look at the whales, you will see that they are keeping their bitcoins because they know that it will bounce back. And it’s obviously not a smart move to sell bitcoin when it’s falling in price.

Panic selling or proper selling, being sold at a lower price than buy is a loss for anybody. Currently the market is in the downtrend, it might be possible someone bought at even lower and is still in profit while selling, but this would not be the case for majority of the users in the world.

Whales are doing things that we commoners dont even know about, so lets not comment on that. ::)

What we can do is to wait for the price to stabilize and then buy. Selling does not mean it is wrong, it depends on what price you bought at. If someone feels that the price will not go back up again, then its their choice to sell at a loss.

Well, that simply shows how these whales are very comfortable with the Bitcoin Market.  This means they trust that the Bitcoin market will recover so they need to accumulate as early as possible and with every price dip.  On the other hand, there is the possibility that whales can actively manipulate the price drop by simply selling at a loss and then accumulating at the bottom in order to reverse that loss into a profit.  Someone did this in the previous year, selling a huge number of BTC, then rebuy at the dip and ending up with millions of dollars in profit plus more BTC.

Seeing how Micro Strategy and El Salvador's recent purchases, I think even whales start feeling the heat of it. They've bought such a little amount of BTC even though it was at such a low price compared to their earlier DCA. From that, I think most people who sell at a loss here think it will go lower so they better sell it now and wait for a lower price, earning a margin profit plus their BTC back.

Whales will always buy bitcoin in every dip bitcoin goes , whales knows the secret of becoming rich in bitcoin, that is why they see every dip as an opportunity to buy bitcoin.  We need to learn from the whales and see reasons why they buy bitcoin in every dip. It is better to hodl now than to sell bitcoin to whales at loss.

Thank you for the encouragement OP, but it does not change the fact that all panic sellers will only end up regretting in the end, as they fail to realize that bitcoin will not stay always on the top, but it also falls down to pave way for more bigger opportunities for us to earn and build wealth. And that's something that whales have in mind, to shake the market so that all those weak hands are going to sell and they will be happily buying their cheap bitcoin, something that newbies should learn to ponder.

Yep, keeping assets in a bear market will provide high profits, especially if we add our assets when the price drops even deeper because after all the prices that occur in Bitcoin as long as the community is still very large and the regulation on crypto is not too tight then it's very worth it to stay afloat, so don't sell cheap because this moment is almost the same in the 2018 era.

Selling meaning a bad ending , that's all.
Selling at the wrong time would mean a bad ending. There are times to sell which is when the market is rising and not selling during that time is a loss.

One must understand that in order to sustain trading in this market, they must buy at the low and also sell at the top. Not doing both or skipping one will lead to frustration and stagnancy in the trader's mind which leads to bad incidents.

For newbies entering the market this is important to realize. That the bull and bear cycles are continuous and taking advantage over both is necessary to be the proper trader. There is a lot of FUD and bad speakers in the market, but the reality is that bitcoin always bounces back, it is just a matter of time.

It is all about mindset. Investing is not a social game. Do your own diligence and come with your own decision and strategy. Do not buy and sell based on emotions generated by price fluctuations. That's the worst game you can play. You can include sentimental analysis of the market in your strategy, but do not make decisions on your own emotions.

Remember why you have chosen to buy and hold BTC in the first place.

This is the general rule but in reality, it is easier said than done.

Some of the investors who put their investments into BTC at least invested hundreds to thousands of dollars. This implies that the slightest movement in its price could mean a profit/loss on their part. But if an investor would put that amount of capital, they must have a contingent plan and a goal on their investments.

But in all honesty, I agree with you- BTCs are inflationary in nature. They are too precious to be sold especially that its price are relatively low in the market.

I hear what you are saying and agree with you too but I would have believed that any investors that want to invest some huge amount in Bitcoin should understand how the market operates and like you said, we have seen the most recent 2017's $20k price down to $3k+ and back to a new ATH of $69k but the problem is as I must have mentioned before, most are not investors but traders and they react quickly to almost every price change cos a real investor would know better not to sell during bears but try to accumulate more.

The panic people are newbies, they haven't been here during previous bear seasons, so it's understandable that they were worried and panicked.
We used to be like them, used to panic like them, but just go through a bear season, they will change.  Simple action now just don't sell anything and hold steady and then will be great reward we will get. For us it was, but for the newcomers it was an inner battle with them.

Exactly. Those who panic sell are usually newbies who haven't experienced a bear market before. They've just got into crypto when the market was bullish thinking they would make a quick buck. Once they see everything going down the drain, they will sell believing crypto will die for good. We used to be in the same situation, but then we've changed our mindset after every bear market. Crypto was in a much worse situation a few years ago, so there's no reason to be alarmed.

For what I know, the bear market (as usual) is only temporary. It's the perfect time to buy coins at a discount to sell then once prices go back up again. I'm in no hurry to see Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies reaching new All-time-highs in price as long as their purpose is fulfilled. Whales will always accumulate, but it's important to never sell your BTC (unless you really need to) at such low prices. By doing so, you will only make the rich even richer in the long term. As long as you don't put all of your life savings into Bitcoin, you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my opinion :)

It's a pity that because of fear and emotions some weak hodlers falls for the whales tricks, they panicked and sell due to the falling price of bitcoin which fell to hands of the whales, historically price of bitcoin always bounce back no matter how dip the price this is fact any new investors or newbie should be aware of, price of bitcoin dipped to $17K+ yet it bounce back to $21K+ now gradually and slowly the bullish sentiment will resume while those who sold their coins to the whales at a loss will have a cause to regret their actions having watched the price rallied up just within some days.

The only place Bitcoin can be sold is at the ATH level. Because you can buy back the Bitcoin you sold at the ATH level at lower prices. But we are not at ATH level today. We are 70% below the ATH level. Selling Bitcoin at these levels and buying Bitcoin at a lower price is not an easy task and carries great risks.

Also, I've been reading news everywhere these days that goddamn whales are stocking up on more Bitcoins. I agree with OP. Bitcoin may be valuable to not be sold these days.

I wish people gets educated and will not invest during the bull run, instead they will find the bear market the best time to invest.
Also, I wish we are not greedy so we can sell at a high price, it doesn't matter if it's not the ATH, as long as we get a good profit, we should learn to be satisfied.

Divide investing into long term and short term, and don't forget to accumulate during bear market.

It does not need to be in the news, it's already given, when the market had a huge dump, whales will alway take advantage on that.

I think you are right, but everyone should approach this for themselves and deliberately. One way or another, the BTC market has already seen many falls and a flight to the moon, which, as it were, shows that those who know how to wait will definitely be able to earn, but you should understand that not everyone can wait a long time seeing how his asset decreases in price. Indeed, this is a very difficult process, I mean wait, but if you see the goal and are willing to take risks, then you are the one who should keep BTC on and wait for the next flight to the moon.

For me it is a bearish cycle, but this is normal, all markets have those cycles, the bearish and the one that represents the bullish, we can talk about it being able to recover and reach a good price, but it can also drop in price, that is normal because many are waiting for it to rise to sell and make a profit, it's a poor thought, I think the rich think of selling but not less than 100,000 dollars, I think a millionaire can have that as his first goal.

Everybody can do this mistake but after a couple of times you should've learnt your lesson. Don't repeat same mistakes.
I find this thread positive to draw attention to this. Even though the same words are repeated, we always see how people make the same mistakes. It would be a pain to sell at the bottom, especially on the Bitcoin forum with too much information on your hand.

I agree, it is definitely an unfortunate event that makes them lose money to people who already do not need money. People who are poor, and do not know how the trading game works, end up losing the very few they already have, the money they need so much, and the millionaires and billionaires end up getting that few thousand dollars from tens of thousands of people during this period, and turn that into even more billions of dollars worth of profit.

The whole point of bitcoin was to create a playing field that was leveled. Instead of that, we got ourselves another market where the rich would take the money of the poor and that results with this current situation instead.

You should start learning to control your emotions for the future, as we know that price movements can indeed happen that we would not expect. And back to your initial goal for investing, if the goal is for the long term, I think your action on this one is not right. Let's keep learning and focus on getting better, friends.  ;)

Buying bitcoin you have noting to loss even If the price goes down a lot after purchase, you are still a bitcoin holder. But whenever you sell that asset, it's a matter of whether you make profit or loss. However, the volatility of Bitcoin can make any investor worried. So it is better to make a decision by analyzing the judgment from the previous experience. Remember when you sell BTC someone else is buying it. Blue whales usually wait for that opportunity.

It's a game of patience? If only many will be patient and don't sell cheaply then they will reap the fruit. If you didn't take profit earlier I think now you should just hodl and buy more if it dips. BTC will be back up.

There are just unexpected situations that happen where investors are forced to sell their Bitcoin for their personal use. Holding will be the best thing to do for now. As much as possible and as long as we could have more patience, it will be better to hold our Bitcoin so we'll make a profit when the market recovers or when the bull run approaches. It's the right season for buying and holding.

Yes, Whales always make the right move and make the the best out of it. Over this bear market there is not much of whales playing to manipulate the market. We the common cryptocurrency users need to understand the game of Whales, then shitcoins won't make a big market. Few influencers in the market started this standard, but this isn't gonna last.

I share the same thought in mind. We belong to different places and we have different circumstances to attend to. We have different placements of priorities in life and obligations as well which are great factors to determine whether we will continue to either hold or sell. For someone who needs funds urgently and currently has no other means to support his/her needs, the have no other choice but to sell their bitcoin. Maybe not entire amount of it but partial amount of their portfolio just to sustain their necessities and obligations.

As much as we want everyone to hold, we can't force them to do so because we have different situations. We can just suggest as much as we can, but we cannot impose. After all, we still have our freedom to choose and the decisions still lie on our very own hands and not on the hands of those who are giving opinions. I know there are members here that currently are just relying on bitcoin to perhaps get by and there's totally nothing wrong with the way they will going to spend their btc as long as they know what they are doing. Anyone of us can always buy the dip again when the market crashes.

Buy if you can afford it, sell if you want to.

there is always an opportunity for the pope to wait when we sell it, because indeed they are looking for a moment like this, hoping that many are worried about what they are holding and selling for fear of big losses.
you are right, my friend, that before taking action in a state of worry, it is wiser to analyze as best as possible, because based on past experience bitcoin will increase again and worry should not have to happen, holding is the best solution than selling.

The only reason why I think anybody should sell thier bitcoin currently is if they are having unexpected situations, that’s why if anybody is investigating we should always invest the money which we won’t be needing at that particular moment, we should always make sure we are having extral funds, we shouldn’t invest the money we will be needing in days or few weeks.
Most people selling thier bitcoin now are selling to whales which they are happy and bagging more bitcoin, we shouldn’t panic and sell let’s just be patient and wait for market recovery. We have experienced lots of bear market in the past and we have survived it, definitely we are also going to survive the current one.

There will be some turbulent times ahead. In the crypto space, we have more whales than ever before, and this market hasn't seen extreme recessionary conditions like those we've just seen. At 10-12k, I believe BTC will see massive buy-ups if it slips. It is just a matter of being patient and waiting under more lows. There is a surprise in store for everyone. If you're in crypto space for quite a long time, you'd never going to worry if Btc crashes. We knew how Bitcoin works, we have an idea in what range Bitcoin would reach during bearish season, and we know how capable Bitcoin is for an unprecedented pump. Just remember, we did not expect Bitcoin to reach almost $20k in 2017 and we did not expect Btc to hit almost $70k in 2021. We did not expect for Bitcoin to fall $3k in 2018 either, and we should expect the worse range Bitcoin could reach in this current bearish run. Good thing is, recovery is guaranteed. It only matters of when.

I think this is the main point. Bitcoin is at the moment at the very beginning of its life that could potentially last hundreds of years, since it is decentralized. At the beginning of something new there will always be doubters, but after a crash there will always be new people that understand how genius bitcoin is and therefor they will start investing.

If we're planning to hold for long period then its really ideal to invest the money that you can live without since we cant really predict for how long we're going to wait before we can sell in our set target price. If you keep on selling because its already needed then you might really sell at loss rather than gaining. Thus before investing our money think carefully if its not meant for important things because investing in Bitcoin cant guarantee that you can already gain in your set time frame.

we have to be strong in holding bitcoin, don't regret it later or in the future. sometimes many people panic because they see the price of bitcoin go down, and continue to sell it, maybe they are afraid that the price will continue to fall and will not come back again. and that's my experience, it used to be, even though if you think about it, you don't have to panic because later it will also go up again. and I think in the future bitcoin price will be much higher. so don't miss this opportunity to invest in bitcoin. especially when the market is bearish, it's a very good opportunity. for investment.

Remember $20,000 down to $3,000? Been through that storm too. Remember, 1 BTC = 1 BTC. To the Moon!
I've been there also mate , for couple of times I am selling my coins when the dumping comes and this brings more profit to the whales, thats why I studied and look deeply about Holding and yes this is now my main strategy those of course i am also selling some small amount , but of course that is just to be ready when dumping continues or the Bear starts to takes place.

remember that in the past bitcoin was priced at $400 and we went through until the bitcoin price became $60,000.
holding bitcoin for the long term and buying when the price is low is the best way to double the money in the future when we are old and enjoy the returns of investing in bitcoin when the price starts to rise high.
for me selling bitcoin when it's cheap is very disappointing when buying at $50,000 and selling at $20,000 and making the whale rich

It is much better to invest idle money since it won't affect your daily life in any way, that way you can make sure your investment won't lose in any case. Selling bitcoin now is no different than giving your money to others to use, they must be held in every possible way, not sell, only buy more if you have better conditions, will only sell until it makes a profit.

I will sell my btc to people who want to buy at a high price if the whale dares to offer my btc at a high price then i will release my btc, i think the whales who play in their market can make the bitcoin price fall for example they release all their bitcoins of course bitcoin will be cheap, so my question is if not the whales then who else would you sell bitcoins to?

It is time to hold, what you sell will profit the Whale holders and not you. For example I was in need of money and wanted to sell through a P2P trading platform. The price quoted by the buyer was 20% lower than the market price. So, if we're selling now then we're in loss whereas the whales make profit.

many sometimes can't hold back and are filled with panic, afraid of losing too much so that they have to let go. I think you are right, if there is an urgent need to be forced to let go, maybe it is understandable but if there is nothing important, it is clear that holding on for as long as possible until recovery is the best way.
It must be remembered that in a situation like this it is better to buy again but selling it will benefit the whales who are waiting for a moment like this.

What is the panic for ?? So far as their is still bitcoin in the wallet I don't see any reason why someone should be panic.  If Bitcoin drops it doesn't the amount of bitcoin that was lose during the dip is gone forever, it will surely come up again with more bitcoin when the market bulls, it's just a matter of time. If someone sells bitcoin because of to solve problem it is understandable,  but being panic to sell for no reason and be at loss is not a good one. Hodl till profit is earned.

When you sell, there will definitely be buyers, this is the action between supply and demand in the market. In the market there are many different whales, they are not one person, or a group, but the market has thousands of different large and small whales and do not work together. Whales here refer to people who have a lot of money and have the ability to manipulate the price for a period of time and are willing to buy your bitcoins as long as the price will turn them profitable.

The only ones worrying about Bitcoin's downfall in price are noobs who don't understand what crypto/Blockchain tech is all about. The rest are simply buying and "hodling" coins no matter what. Veteran crypto users like me know this is only temporary. Bitcoin always rebounds in price after a prolonged bear market. If you're patient enough, you'll be able to obtain huge profits once Bitcoin reaches a new All-time-high in price. Selling your coins now will make the rich (whales) even richer in the long run. It shouldn't be long enough before Bitcoin emerges victorious while Fiat dies because of hyperinflation. Who knows if "hyperbitcoinization" becomes a reality soon? Just my opinion :)

People who don't understand Bitcoin are the one that compare the values of Bitcoin with the values of fiat currency. And they are the same people who panic to bitcoin when they notice that Bitcoin is falling and they will not be any hope of bitcoin rising again. You won't blame any reaction and action they took because they do not understand Bitcoin and value. And the people who is new into cryptocurrency is the one who is notinterested of Bitcoin

Panic selling is never a good idea to survive during a crash. But if we do that, we will end up regretting it once the prices go up. Patience is the need of the hour if you are an investor in BTC.

that's the spirit every small bitcoin Hodler should have. but some people are not that strong. they panic very easily. plus they are not financially stable like others. in a time of such inflation and recession. some people are left with no option but to sell their bitcoin holdings to cover their expenses. you know this is not just a crypto bear market. the real life is in financial bear market too. and thats where small investors are loosing the game.
but you are right. if anyone have a source of income and he's not crucial need of money. he should never sell his Bitcoins for cheap. I would never do that.

I don't think so, regardless of anything and no matter how strong the whales are, I don't think they can manipulate them here but what they are doing is just waiting and waiting to see the situation and conditions.
As for when they bought a lot, actually this can't be blamed on the Pope because this is the fault of people who panicked so they sold even though they were at a loss.

When we think about money, and we make an investment we keep two things in mind,

1.- wait until you see profits,
2.- If the price drops, don't panic and sell.

people who say that you have to resist, don't worry, it's difficult, because people who have a lot of money know that they are losing a lot, sometimes it's difficult to gather strength to see an investment of a lot of money that goes down every day, but this is I have to see it from a very sensitive point of view, some people sometimes even need the help of psychologists to be able to overcome the wait, sometimes we are not all the same, I only say that the strongest people, those who persevere, are those who achieve their goals.

I think this is best time to buy Bitcoin and hold, because people might don't realize it but Bitcoin is the future.

Selling of Bitcoin when the prices low, is something you have to know that when your coin during time the price of Bitcoin is falling you will lose my investment because bitcoin value does not fall to zero.

Market could only be composed of with those strong and weak hands and to those who had been holding for years or long term but cant really be avoided that with some sentiment in the market
which people could really make out some immediate action basing on what they do see.It is inevitable on some point because people or specially the herd would really be making up the same emotion
ending up on the same action basing on what they are seeing on the community then it is really just a common thing to be seen.
Selling on panic when market is on deep reds but there were people who do just simply sell off when they are tending to take profits.

Weak hands will ultimately sell their BTC, giving a huge advantage to the whales. Only "diamond hands" will "HODL" no matter what. Despite the downfall in market prices, Bitcoin is still a better choice than Fiat. You should think about the long-term to see actual returns in your investment. If you do that, you'll notice that Bitcoin works great as a safe haven.

Set yourself forward 10 years from now, and BTC's price would probably be a lot higher than what it is right now. I'd take advantage of the bear market to buy as much discounted Bitcoin as possible. If predictions come true, then it's possible you'll become extremely wealthy in the future with BTC valued at $1m per coin. As long as you don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts ;D

I'd be willing to bet all my BTC and the shirt off my back that price would be higher than today in 5 years, but that doesn't mean I'd promise anyone that's true. Past performance isn't a guarantee of future performance and all that.

I still think the best advice isn't to buy, but to do what's practical and safe for your surely unique situation.

And if the person's set on buying, the best advice is DCA. No one has the time or skill outside of regular life/work to time bear buys.

The whales are hunting for our precious Bitcoin and we should not in any way make the mistake to allow them to take it due to the current inflation that is making many investors to sell their holdings including Elon Musk that sold almost two third of his Bitcoin asset.lets try our best to stay off the current in flatiron that had affected many countries and region making the price of goods and food stuffs to increase.
Not just the whales though, but everyone, we see orders ranging from even 0.001 to 10 BTC or higher. So it's a free for all market, although the whales have an advantage since they have a deep pockets and can scoop as many as they want during a huge dump, from those newbies selling at a very low prices or even at a loss. But nobody knows what they doing it, maybe they are afraid that the price will indeed go to 0. But for us, it's all or nothing, looking 5-10 years from now, the price could really be in the 6 digits minimum.

It’s not easy to keep calm seeing bitcoin go so low. But as it is just the bitcoin winter going on, we better listen to what the financial experts say. Bitcoin is used to go through these cycles and then bounce back like any other asset. So, we better keep calm and keep our bitcoins safe and not let the whales take advantage of this situation.

Hodling is a thing of patience and understanding. With the current downtrend do you think holders that bought high would be able to withstand the trend. I understand that market isn't favourable and surely price will be up again only those who were patient with the wave would sail merrily. Buy as much as you can now!
Yes it is true that holding is a test of patience. How patient you can be will depend on the holding Those who can't be patient by holding but can't profit from holding coins. The current market is not in the car's favor it is completely unregulated. The market is likely to grow very quickly, those of you who want to invest, invest as soon as possible.Only those who are holding now will rule and see the day.

Holding is a good way to get higher profit but it is not true that we have to hold forever. By market analysis, we have to sell sometimes whatever it is precious or not because market is so volatile. If you are able to sell in right time, you will be able to buy again when price drops. There is no guarantee that price will rise only.

But the question is that, how will you know the person that is buying the btc from is whale. Because you do not know the person that buys the btc. And also there are time one is in need of money very seriously so at that stage he has to sell it btc to solve the problem instead of going out to borrow and pay interest when he the money to solve the problem. Though, as for me, the two sides are good advice. Keeping it is good and selling it to solve problem is also good.

It's just like a parable. Sure, we don't know who purchase our Bitcoin in the market (CEX or DEX). Unless we sell our Bitcoin to the people we know directly, from our wallets to their wallets.

there are time one is in need of money very seriously so at that stage he has to sell it btc to solve the problem instead of going out to borrow and pay interest when he the money to solve the problem.
For urgent cases, selling Bitcoin is understandable. We have no choice, we must focus on the priority.
However, in a normal situation, holding is much better because the value probably increases in the future. We don't sell our Bitcoin because of influenced by FUDs. Or doing panic selling after seeing a huge drop in Bitcoin price.

For me to collect bitcoin more profitable than other coins, the condition of price reduction for Bitcoin now, does not feel that this is something that needs to be worried, Bitcoin has progressed from the beginning of the appearance until now, one bitcoin now will be quite meaningful in the future, so make a purchase in any amount to collect bitcoin, because in the future, bitcoin will provide a maximum profit
