Some years ago, I won a decent amount of money from a sports bet. It was the equivalent of $550 in my local currency. I was thrilled. I decided that I was going to spoil myself a little. It coincided with the time Sony announced the price of the new PlayStation 5. The price was the equivalent of $500 in my local currency. I walked into a mall and bought it. I played it a couple of times. One week later, I traveled. I spent 3 months out of town. Sadly, when I returned from my trip, I discovered that my house had been broken into. The most expensive thing that I've bought with winnings from my sportsbook bet were a car for my girlfriend.

I won a jackpot in FortuneJack Dice twice, the first one is $18k+ and the next one is $6k+.  This almost covers the cost of a small townhouse worth $26k  so I  just add an extra fund from my earnings in the signature campaign and bought it.   It feels good to buy something from both earnings and luck in gambling.  Though I would not advise making gambling a source of our income but rather take the opportunity to buy something that will appreciate over time when luck presents us the opportunity of winning a huge amount of money.

The opinion/mindset some have cultivated is that winnings from casino's and sportsbet are free money, and usually cannot be spent on something tangible that you don't get to regret, having cultivated this mindset, if they ever get to win from a casino or sportsbet, they follow suit and spend the money in a rush without thinking and due consideration.

 In my case, the only time i have won a substantial amount from a sportsbet, i didn't spend the money in a rush. At that time my annual rent was a month due, i used my winnings to settle it, and the little fraction left well, can't say i remember what i used that for ;D and that is something i can't say i regret.

So the most expensive thing i have spent my winnings on, is not something that i regret.

The most expensive thing, never, I don't use my bet money in gambling wins to buy luxury or valuable things, I prefer to use it for entertainment or fun, with my friends, such as: going to bars, sightseeing or something like that.

Why don't I want to buy expensive things from gambling winnings, because I bet not to buy things.
I bet only for the pleasure of my soul, so whatever the value of the win I only use it for fun.

I have principles in gambling, my money is at stake, the money wins the bet, the bottom line: I have to distinguish between gambling money and my own money, I mean my steady income, so with my principles like that, I bet a bit calmly, lose or win, not having any intention of buying expensive stuff, I spend it for fun.

I bought my first gaming laptop worth 1500$(3BTC) from the profit on Bitsler, Bitcoin price that time was around 500$ and I'm very happy about my new laptop but later on after a couple of months, The price of Bitcoin went up to 2000$ which I regretted much for a long time because I can buy a much high end laptop and even more if I just hold my Bitcoin and didn't sold.

That's one thing i came to regret because of all my winnings from gambling, i have never bought something valuable or something that could be very beneficial in the future. I could have bought a piece of lot because its price will certainly appreciate in the future or even a car for my family. All i have are just these small gadgets that i think will only lose value later on. And the rest of my winnings were just lost in a thin air, maybe some were lose too in gambling since i keep chasing my luck that time.

I usually don't buy expensive stuff when I win big bets. I spend money on fun things, like going to the beach with friends and traveling to neighboring countries.when I won $3k recently, I spent it on a poor person who was suffering from a spinal fracture that left him paralyzed.

There is none, I just know that I use the money I won in gambling for fun. If I win, I use it for the weekend fun, if not enough, I add more money to it to have the fun, that is because sometimes, the money will not be enough, the money I do win is usually little and I am not expecting much because I use the amount I can be able to lose to bet. The money won can not buy me anything than to just use it for fun or to play next weekend match.

I once won $350 (so far this is the highest amount I've won bets). With the winning money I bought a custom PC (medium) to play games and other online activities. it's better to use the money from bet wins for other profitable activities, don't use it for unimportant things like buying drugs or going to discotheques.

Honestly I do not think I did buy something expensive but I did buy something essential, which was groceries for the whole month, I remember when I was able to make my 30$ into a 100$, I was able to buy groceries for the whole month through it which again then helped me sustain and save 70$ which I later pooled up and used for other things as well, for me I was able to do it through crash, it was new and the game was interesting for me but I also lost a lot over time so I do think this all balances it out by itself as well. For me I didn't win that much as well because I do not have such a good luck but then again it was amazing and worth it !

When it comes on buying things then i dont really regret on doing so because majority or most of the time on where i do tend to buy something then it would really be on my wishlist
Speaking with gambling profits then i do buy a flagship smartphone and i do still make use of it over a year now and even though this isnt something big but still a considerable
amount which you could really able to buy on what you do like or wish for and i dont risk it out again on playing those amounts into gambling because high likely
those amounts be lost back again into the casino.

Back into those early years where i do win $1k maximum on slots as far as i remember and half or 3/4 of those winning amount had been used on buying Steam wallet codes

well in my case it was as follows, I had 25$ and I made a bet that allowed me to win 75$, then I made a bet again with 25$ and I won 400$. then I took it out and bought something I ate and I don't remember other things I bought, but the fact is that I was very happy with the thing I bought and ate, it was as if it had a different flavor maybe because as I had lost consecutively and then I had victories consecutive so buying that food and eating it tasted different. but I must say that after my streak of victories, I could never have the same luck again, so I started to look at gambling as just fun and I don't bet much or high values anymore.

I've never had huge winnings when it comes to gambling.  Mostly because I gamble for fun so it's more about putting some extra excitement in the game than it is trying to make money.  I have had a couple big scores though.  I recall one year I bet pretty big against Dallas during Thanksgiving.  The odds were that they were going to win because Tony Romo was coming back from injury and everyone seemed to think he was going to carry them to a win.  I on the other hand thought he was washed, so I made a big bet that paid off.  What did I spend the money on you ask?  Everyone who was with me that Thanksgiving partied pretty well.  It was good times.  :)

I've never bought the most expensive thing from a casino or sports betting because I've never won much money. Maybe what I did was buy some food to eat with my friends and not buy things like you. Even if I buy those expensive things, I don't think I will regret it because I know it was a momentary decision because I already won a lot of money. But I once thought to save the winning money and only use a little to buy food or use it to bet the next day again.

I have observed that money won or gotten from gambling is mostly spent on the wrong things and people by majority only to come to a realization when the amount left is limited to nothing.

I myself I haven't won a good amount of money from gambling that can afford me something I would refer to as expensive. But I'll try to relate this to a colleague of mine that won a handsome amount of money in millions in my national currency in 2019 that is worth about $5000 today.

Just overnight his expenditure pattern changed, started buy luxury items that he doesn't really need. What really baffled me was when he quickly  rented an apartment worth $400 dollars all in the name of changing environment.

And to cut the long story short he ended up not investing into something profitable as sum part of the money went back into gambling that at the end of the day he returned back to the environment he left us behind.

That's really a big thing. I believe you were a high roller, my mind have thought of buying a car out of the gambling money. But, I wasn't able to do it as I end up losing when I make a small profit. Somehow I managed to settle a friend's debt money borrowed for the purpose of gambling. This isn't big, around $200.

Not that big amount of winnings but I was able to bought laptops and mobile phone for my kids. And that time they are very happy with it so I don't regret using all my winnings.

I wouldn't say it's a waste of opportunity on not investing your money from gambling. For me this is not like you earn when you work hard, this is winning mate, so you are free to used it whatever you want and I don't see something wrong with your decision.

I also went on shopping spree with my family and treat them on a good restaurant and even stay on the hotel casino's for several days from the money that I won from them.

Even that "thing" is unnecessary and might raise questions from others that "why we bought that?", our money, our rules. It's like rewarding ourselves. Offline casino's, I was able to win huge money, enough to buy me a good second half 4x4 car that time. That time I was really addicted to slots machines and I usually bet max per pay line. It's just so happen that I almost hit a perfect on a 50 Lion slot, it was just a good hand pay.

You're a lucky guy when you've purchased PS5 just as you walked into the mall. There's a shortage in its supply worldwide and until now, I can't avail one of it because of it. I can't remember if there are things I've bought from my gambling profits. If I win big, I usually keep and wait until the right time comes of spending so, I don't know what to suggest but I think the most ideal is I'll do the same as you, for the ps5.

Once I won from gambling and bought a bicycle for a girl friend, price $270 and she was very happy because she didn't have a bicycle before. Honestly, I was previously hesitant because the money I got didn't necessarily get win again, but considering that my friend really needs a bicycle for work, I have to be willing to share, because the salary she receives is only enough for food and rent etc.

I never experience to win a huge amount in gambling. So the things that I bought are not really expensive. Myself too had the same experience. However I never had the access to pay directly. I bought it cashing out bitcoin. This is the second In-ear monitor I own called TFZ t2 which I mainly used for listening to EDM or any other bass-boosted music. Well, listening to music while playing dice is a pretty different experience.

I cant remember anything expensive I've bought. First I try to save money. Second, I rarely want to buy anything expensive for my self, also my family is not in a need of something expensive. The most expensive thing I've bought from online gambling is a computer game on steam. I've bought it for 60$ which that time is already a huge amount of money as I am at college. It is still possible to earn huge even if you're only betting small and that is if you will play games with high payout potential or games with higher multipliers on them but the higher the multi/payout you set, the lesser the chance you are going to win, that's only the catch there.

If your goal is to mainly save money then that is right, you shouldn't assume a bigger win as that will only encourage you to bet more and that will tempt you to use the money in your savings account but for what purpose you are saving anyway? Are you planning to buy an expensive things in the future or you are simply saving it for your kids/family? Cryptos and offline money, are both money so why not save them both? To achieve your goals more faster.

That’s a huge one, trading and gambling are almost the same you make money by analyzing and having fun with those numbers. I personally don’t have any successful story yet with gambling, though I have but its not that big. 2018 May 18, I was lucky enough to win some high sum's, honestly I never thought i was Gon be my lucky day, picked some few little games from the League 1 French league, Spanish La Liga and Bundesliga. Tips pick or market options I placed was corner tips, under 12.5 corners and gracefully, I win some racks worth over 200k Naira innthr Nigerian currency. I was overwhelmed that night ( it was some minutes past 11 ) my apartment was so quiet that I could hear a thunderous voice and it was mine. I was very happy, so the new week , been a fan of soccer and football, I got myself a pair of boots and a sneakers to hit the road when judging.

If you do live same on our country and able to attain these expensive things then you would really be considering yourself to be that good on crypto investment or trading because the amounts involved arent something that you could just ignore and say that it isnt really that much of attainment.

When such money is finished, they will stop gambling for that time until they refund. If this is true, it's OK and fine. Gambling with moderation is cool and acceptable.

I haven't won the jackpot, all winning bets are worth under $100 and just simply enjoying expensive food at restaurants. If from the total income from the bounty, I have bought a laptop worth $1500+.

I have no greed for gambling money. I take it just for my entertainment or you can say excitement. Normally when i win any game that make big amount of money then i wanted to go out for long drive with my friends. It gives me much joy and happiness. whether I lose big and win big maybe I've often felt it. it doesn't become a big burden for me if you you here express your intention to buy cars and houses from of casino winnings, I'm not at all surprised.

I'm not a big-time gambler but I have set a target goal that if I won in gambling, I would put up a small business for my mom. Last 2019, I was lucky to win a good price in dice. I was tempted to use it again for gambling but I remembered the goal that I have set so I put up a small grocery store for my mom. The happiness that I brought her was too fulfilling and I guess that's the best prize that I got so far.

Suppose you have won a lot of money. This can of course happen in different ways. You can play with 50k and then double to 100k. Then you would think I have 50k profit and then you would do something nice with the profit. But how tempting is it to think that your strategy was good and that you might still be able to gamble? That is a very different example from someone winning the lottery by sheer luck. I'm guessing he won't gamble so quickly.

The same as me, I'm just a small time gambler and whenever I win, I'm keeping it and won't gamble for that day if I'm satisfied with what I've got.
To my remembrance despite not being a huge gambler, I've both things like clothes coming from my winnings. And there's should be the idea that I need to have a remembrance for each profit that I make whether it's from business or gambling. And I think the others are also doing that for the need that when they lose, then there's something that we've got even before losing.

Mine was a second-hand motorcycle I was attracted to the brand name I bought that motorcycle thinking its in a good condition and I will have no problem at all, after three months of use problems keeps popping up and I regret buying that motorcycle I should have been accompanied by a motor technician before buying it, from then on I will never buy a second-hand motorcycle or I will have a technician to fully check the stuff.

Maybe we really need to calculate how much money we have used to gamble and compare it with the amount of winning money we have already gotten to find out if we can benefit from playing gambling.

I cannot remember buying an expensive thing from gambling wins. I can only remember a lot of good times with friends because I've won a good amount from gambling. Eating and drinking is usually where gambling wins go.

Since I am not really a big time gambler or a high roller, my wins are also not that huge. I am amazed at how huge gambling wins of other users here to the extent that they could buy even a town house.

I think this is what I haven't done or did I but I can't remember. When I give, I won't give money from gambling and I just use it for my own recreation through using it specifically for this purpose.

One of the most expensive things i've bought back then was a laptop and it lasted for like a year or two. I still regret buying it because it didn't suit my needs later on as it was barely keeping up when running multiple programs. Sorry for the lost, that's kind of painful losing what you really worked for before you can afford it. Have been gambling but basically my gambling is just for fun, I don't really gamble with hug amount of money so when I lose it those not really affect me and whenever I win am always happy. It's not that it is normal but we also have responsibilities in our respective households especially if we're just average citizens who had a main job while also trying to earn some in campaigns here in this forum and trying to have some winnings in the online platform. i have actually answered here before but i will tell you about my friend's victory because he is not in this forum.
my friend won a sports bet of $740,000 and i really applaud my friend because when he won a lot of money in my country he just bought a house and a car. and he built a place of worship for muslims and christians in my city. he also distributes alms to people in need and the remaining money he uses to open a coffee shop business.
from my friend's experience, i feel very proud that even though he is a gambling addict, he still cares about those around him who need help. i think he really bought a very valuable

Not all does have that kind of mindset nor have the feelings given into others which they do mind off their situation but instead they would really be minding theirselve rather than with those people who are in need.
When you do gamble then of course you are really hoping to win some money and you cant really just give it simply into those people around or someone who is in need.You cant really tell people on what they should
gonna do with their money since we are different in terms or personality whether we are really that caring and sharing type or that selfish type or who doesnt really care on people around and mind your own business.
Even myself would really say that it wasnt really that much part of me on minding others.  :D

wow - what a wonderful person he is - he has done so much for the people around - although in muslim culture gambling is prohibited but he has built a mosque with the money - may God accept his alms.

Gambling right on time some people differentiate it or disregarded for their own knowledge and their adoption of life so if someone who is a Muslim use a gambling money and the build a new mosques what is the person he's telling it's religion because from the look of things if your religion condemns it and you practice it to the extent of using it to build a sacred house that means you are supporting it.

I think I'll agree with that 1st phrase you've said, it's not actually being greedy because of one us here has a responsibility on ourselves and on our family. In my case, I need to secure my family and self first before reaching out to other people and help them. Being hospitable is not always about other people because we can also do that to our own family.

As I said, not all people has the same mindset that you have and we don't have to argue about that. It's just like we don't have the same choice of food and the only difference is we are now talking about people.

Believe it or not I have seen many Greedy people who keeps on shopping expensive brands while calling people to arrange money for them because they need it.
Some people are strange and they want to get money out of people pocket no matter what - and after that they vanish. Is this not greed. I have personally experienced this - this is not a joke. My heart is heavy and stressed.

Yes, I believe it and I have my own share of experience about it because we're not just born yesterday to be shocked about it. I don't exactly know what's the correct explanation about it but I don't think that it has something to do with genes or DNA because our we have our own respective needs and wants, and sometimes people will do everything they can to get these expensive brands in their hands.

My advice for you is let them be, you can give some advice to them but you cannot really control them.

I think the point is different. The one mentioned above and that is - while people are shopping for themselves the expensive brands they are borrowing money side by side - and they have no shame in pressurizing people to do what they want.
I have personally gone through this - wasted so much money on people. And sometimes I don't have anyone to look up to.

You can't, they have their own mindsets and they will follow what they've thought is good for them, you can give advice but you can't expect that they will take it, on that note just let them do whatever they want and do what is yours. Just mine your own business and let other people do what they want with their life.

Buying expensive things or simply save the money that you win or invest it and grow the money, all of it depends on how people think about the money.

That is so cool action of your friend except for being a compulsive gambler.  It is no small feat to donate money to build a religious establishment let alone pays for all the expenses.  I salute him for his generosity but I do hope that your friend will be cured of his gambling addiction.  


I do admire your thought of being selfless but we have the government for that.  We pay taxes to the government so that government can take care of our underprivileged fellows.  Helping neighbors is good but it is not our responsibility to spoonfeed them.  The first rule is to be self-sufficient and save extra, if we meet that criteria then we can extend our hands to those who are in need further and longer.

Since the thread topic is about the expensive things we bought with our gambling winnings, you will see posts here about buying stuff with their gambling wins.  Besides, people shouldn't brag about their personal way of helping people if not asked to.  If you do good that is great, it will be greatly rewarded if you keep it in yourself because the One above will be the one to reward you for your good deed.  And if you want to remind people about this stuff, you cannot just hijack someone's thread and put your argument on the line.  You can create your own thread about your stuff and start from there.

I do not say your argument is worthless, they are good indeed but they are just out of topic in this thread discussion's goal.

And that was a very stressful day- even after so much refusal they took a big chunk of money  they will return back and till this day they never talked again.

As long as the money earned serves to improve lives and help others, it is a very good thing and if so, many more people continue to earn, in some way I respect religion from every point of view, I respect all religions and I know that for many people religions are very important because it helps them improve their lives, I have seen cases where people who are bad, actually very bad, are thieves, possibly murderers, and I am a witness to seeing how religion has transformed them to to be good people, and if someone's win in a casino helps them to be better people, it is something that pleases me a lot.

I think if I earn that much, I will also end up doing the same thing like donating to charities, giving some to the people who are in need of money here in our place or on the streets and then build a church but if my earnings are only enough for me then I will prioritize my own self first by buying the things that I like the most.

I am a gadget lover so I'll prolly buy gadgets that I don't have now. That was my goal the moment I won something decent in playing on a crypto casino because it's been a long time since I don't win decent on a casino that I play. I don't know if my luck getting sucks lately or the casino where I am playing with have become rigged now.

Moreso, we can't make our personal interest into other people's opinions because everyone has his or her taste and desires, this is more of a personal stuffs to me than general things, but it will be a better choice that could be advisable if the money won can be vested on another of its kind  or on other business that could birth more income than buying expensive items that arr liability at long run on a gambler,  nothing gained but lot is lost.

It is not a bad idea to visit the casino once in a while. It will surely have an entertaining effect on you, so it's worth a try! However, if you intend on gambling your money away to earn another income, don't do it. The next time you are looking to make some money, don't be tempted by the promise of easy wealth. Instead, consider creating something that people want or offering a service they will pay you for. It won't come as fast or probably ever. But, eventually, with enough effort, you may find yourself in a much better financial situation. There is an old saying, "Every man is the architect of his own fortune!"

I do have experiences like that, someone owes me money, a member  here in the forum who I got friends with owes me a total of 0.3 BTC, an RL friend owes me around $10k and both did not pay.  It was also part of my collective winnings in gambling years ago.  Despite that, I am still convinced that people are generous and at the same time selfish.

this is a very large amount of money, have you tried asking people to at least pay you in parts until the entire loan is finished? even if they paid you less than 50$ per month it would be a step, one day they would pay off all debt

Well, in times that we're like kings and we've got a lot of money through winnings in gambling or in any source that we've got, we're totally fine to allow them to borrow as they've promised to give it and pay it back but, you know, they're too forgetful that in the times of need, we're there for them.

wherever the money comes from, whether from gambling, stealing etc. but if the person has good intentions for others, i think it is a very valuable item.
because i also did the same thing when i got a little win at gambling, i bought some groceries for people in need. although the amount is not much but i am proud to be able to help others and like i buy very valuable things and i give to people in need.
i will not see that money from gambling that is not worth buying things and giving to people in need. but what i see is when i play gambling i get a win and some of my money belongs to those who need it

I also bought a device from the Japanese company Sony (when I won a large amount of money in an online casino).  

It was a big TV with internet access. I enjoyed this TV.  Rejoiced, just like a child.

Huge IPS screen... The ability to watch YoTube videos on a big screen...

At the same time, this TV has not been stolen from me yet.  It still stands in my room.  

In fact, I rarely watch it now...

I did not manage to buy a touch remote for it - very expensive.  And with a push-button remote, using the Internet is very inconvenient.  A branded video camera for video calls was also very expensive.  Sony has very expensive devices.  

But I am very glad that I managed to win the game of chance and buy this TV!

Well, what happens is that everyone also has their own point of view, and it's not bad to give something of what you earn to someone who needs it, this is to have some philanthropy, which is very difficult to find, in my case, although It sounds silly, I would like one day to earn a lot of money to help many people, because it is incredible, but to see people who, when they win, help others for whatever reason is admirable, and I think that the people who do that the money yields much more and they multiply, because hardly a person who does that will do badly, in another order of ideas, I think that a person who earns money is the decision to spend it as he wants, but if he does it helping others it is something that is worth a lot and that very few recognize.

You were kind to have given a helping hand to friends at the time of need when you had it. They say what are friends for but unfortunately the friends have decided to take your winning that you are suppose to use in buying something tangible to remember your winning. Next time you don't have to give people that won't return your money if you want to collect it back. Or you use escrow for such loan.

Yes, that's right! Although we are not obligated to help people in need or friends, there is some voice deep inside us that wanted to help even though there's no assurance that we could get back our money at any given time and that is fine because we are human beings who want to be kind and hospitable at the same time but some times people or even friends take advantage of that and just using the term friends or just like the saying you said above.

Yeah, I already learned my lesson.  It is our close friends that will exploit us for our generosity ;D .  After borrowing money and the due date came, none of these two ever message me or voluntarily talk to me and say that they can't pay their debt.  The worst is my RL friend even put me on ignore in messenger when I asked for his payment while the one I met here admitted that he just can't pay the 0.3 BTC  due to his current situation.

If you dont like on being abused then you should really know on setting out limitations or border line when it comes to rights and privacy or something like that so people wont really take advantage of you.

Its understandable that there are things which would really be pushing us to help despite of those probabilities or chances on getting abused thats why you should watch out for that.
Going back into the topic about most expensive thing been bought then there's nothing on that because whenever i do make huge wins then i do just simply hold it out and
later on i might consider on buying something but after all the things been purchased i had forgotten on what are those.  :D

That is natural these days, there will be always some kind of people who will take advantage of you and of course you won't know that as you will only know their true motive after the fact but anyways, that's fine as long as your heart is open to help but you still really need to be careful for these types of people because they are literally everywhere.

As for me, haven't bought anything expensive really and sometimes if I win, I'd use it to pay some bills and take my family to some random restaurants if there's some spare left.
