Cryptos have had many crazes all over the years. First, it was Bitcoin appearance.
right after that, there were the altcoins and soon after the ICOs, IPOs and all the O's thingy craze. Afterwards the PoS and stacking craze came to play and then smart contracts came around then the DAO Blow. Then the Cexes, the Dexes and right after that, we saw NFTs rise along with the metaverse. (I'm probably missing something). Now we just had the Merge.
Many of these phases have helped the crypto market achieve new highs and led the blockchain technology to go mainstream.
A lot of developments have been a part of the industry growth, so my question here is, what do you guys think will be the next craze in the industry?

This post is not particular to Bitcoin and should be moved to the altcoin discussion section.
It has always been the Bitcoin experience. With devs experimenting the blockchain model in-between to create some fairly useful or outrightly shitty new projects. But through it all, Bitcoin has been the one constant in the crypto space.

Hopefully a craze to use P2P platforms and get their bitcoins off exchanges. And, we get to see Lightening Network become more popular and adopted.

I'm sensing that it's going to be that "proof of reserve" thing. These exchanges can make money from that thing and they'll just make it broader this time for which the investors will have to invest into something or anything that comes from them.

But whatever it is. What I'm sure of is when the dumping time comes again or the worst, the bear, they'll surely be forgotten again and the market will come up again with another craze.

If you look at the Binance proof of reserve using Bitcoin, do you think start-up coins can have the same trust benefits as bitcoin?
The exchanges are the most powerful platforms in the space, won't they be able to detect the peak of the pump? It is my expectation that they will have enough information on onchain analysis to prevent a loss

No one knows but the latest one is talking about DEFI/NFT's and then that POW to POS trend i assume for some projects or something like that.
It is really hard to know on whats the next trend considering that we didnt even expect for that NFT to become a shit trend where those arts do cost up millions of dollars.  :D
Lets just ride along the waves because there's no way on predicting on what would be the future looks like.It cant really be just easy to point out but of course
we could really make out some guesses and speculation but it wont be always a sure thing.

there is still a big problem about the pegging/locking structure of subnetworks and sidechains where once on the other network there is a multitude of ways parties can scam/con and deceive each other

lets not make the craze related to a thing that is supposedly bitcoin related.

most of those systems of sub/side networks have bad risks and should not be treated as good as the mainnets they represent

there is too much of a push of silly fools wanting to game the system for foolish self profit who will try endlessly to call out the mainnets as unfit/broke to pull users to these subnetworks just to rip them off unless they are part of the club of scammers

we have seen it with stable coins and other tokens in the last 9 months

bitcoin should concentrate on bitcoin onchain features that do not break accounting proof of taint back to coinbase reward(some are proposing breaking this security feature)

develop it more onchain to allow more onchain usage because in the last month we have seen congestion caused by just one exchange. imagine if more than one exchange or subnetwork were to close out  accounts

then progress the offramp stuff for short use temporary services of niche utility. rather then trying to push everyone off the bitcoin network, to other networks which are not secure.

Well, in a way it relates to Bitcoin. Just think about it. All the phases I mentioned were of extreme importance for Bitcoin. Many used altcoins as a way to get Bitcoin, so it relates to Bitcoin because, in each one of these phases, Bitcoin had a push. Each one of these phases, draw a lot of attention and newcomers to Bitcoin as well as it helped Bitcoin to reach new Heights and to go mainstream.

I'm not quite sure. Things are just hard to predict in this industry. From ICOs, Memecoins, P2Es, and NFTs; no one managed to predict each of these trends' emergence. If I am about to guess the next trend, maybe it is again ICOs. Why? Campaigns are slowly coming back this year and I think it would continue for the next year to come. More projects are being released so I think it has a chance. But if there will be something that would rise, which is for sure, existing already in this industry, it could also be 'halving' of token which is somehow ringing a bell already this year. Bitcoin's next halving is believed to happen in 2024, and I think it could be the next big thing for this industry. I've mentioned different thing since we are talking about 'trend' and halving, alone, is not.

I think most of those phases have actually done more harm than good to the crypto industry. When there is a LUNA or FTX scam, the mainstream media uses Bitcoin as a scapegoat

I don't really care about the next craze or catchphrases, their purpose is always the same. Grabbing money from the gullible noobs with the promise of making them get rich quick only to defraud them. I mean, look at how many DeFis have collapsed and made people lose a lot of money.

If they'll show that they've got prove that they own it then there could be the same trust and benefit as bitcoin. But it'll all depend too to what kind of coin is that.

Exchanges will be wiser this time.

They don't want to push away their customers and would take them as much as they can and will show everything to retain majority of them especially, the bag holders that still haven't learned the lesson that they shouldn't keep their funds on exchanges.

Bitcoin, because there's no crypto project can overtake Bitcoin hype, right now Bitcoin still on top 1 position with the highest marketcap and dominance, this is a proof if those shit project like POS, ICO, IDO, IEO, NFT, P2E, DEFI, CEFI, Metaverse etc are worthless and failed project.

I don't care if there's a hype about a new project that I haven't mentioned above, because it's just a matter of name while the projects doesn't have any utility or real case.

You missed the play-to-earn blockchain games. It became a strong crypto craze for a while. You must have heard of Axie Infinity. And then there were also the blockchain bridges and the layer 2s. There was also a time when DeFi and swap platforms became a big hit. We are probably familiar with the likes of Uniswap, Sushiswap, Pancakeswap, and others. Just recently, there was also the Ethereum Name Service, ENS for short. We must have noticed a lot of .eth around.

I cannot predict what's next, but I think this Web3 thing has not yet gained full acceleration.

You are right, I completely forgot about the blockchain gaming craze. I guess blockchain gaming and gambling as well, have both contributed a lot for Cryptos and in general to Bitcoin, as it lured a lot of newcommers to cryptos and ultimately to Bitcoin.

NFT are currently under utilised, and seen as just 'art' copyright credits

when VR/gaming starts to replace standard webpages. where people can actually interact with webstores in a 3d environment then the NFT of 'land registry' and 'real estate' kicks in.

people wont just buy land plots on a VR server where there are premiums if retailer wants to be closer to VR mainstreet. but then inside their own 3d webstore they also have tokens to buy floor space/advertising inside their store. so that product brands can pay to be upfront in your face as avaters walk into the webstore or cheaply sat at the back corner of the webstore

blockchains are currently underutilised
they are seen as only store of value currency tools

there are a multitude of things blockchains can be used for over a global scale of nations, or international corporate offices or just whole normal people in different countries wanting a unified data set they can all trust

take a international education system where students across the planet can earn their diploma credits and have it all visible for employers to see.
Where the student can also use those credits internationally to enter further education at X level rather than having to start at the bottom.

even ID systems. whereby you can register an ID onto a blockchain. and due to having private key/signing privileges, you can choose who you give your 'proof of ID' to. and give them a key. where by if you find another business/entity uses that ID hash if they do not have the key to prove your authorisation. they breached your privacy. making suing them easier. and proving it in court easier to win

I would say it is the opposite.  These phases did more harm to Bitcoin than good and Bitcoin was the push for Altcoins.

I think one of the reasons Cryptocurrencies are still alive is because Bitcoin does not drop by 95 to 98 percent every bearish market.  If that happened, nobody would continue mining.  But Bitcoin is as strong as it ever was while Altcoins keep showing the same vulnerability.  They come up, pump, dump and then vanish like they never existed.

Honestly.  All these crazes are actually just a false hope.  What do we have after all the phases you mentioned?  Bitcoin on the BNB chain?  Decentralized Exchanges like Pancake Swap which are not really as Decentralized as they seem?  Coins like Shiba Inu living ultimately on the hype because they have no real purpose other than bringing fuss in the market?  LUNA, showing us how 'smart' a Coin can be and how easy it is to self destroy as an Altcoin?  Or do we have Decentraland which pumped just because Metaverse became a trendy term in the past year and will probably die until 2024?

To newcomers who want as big profits as Shiba Inu got the early holders, Bitcoin is not attractive.  Bitcoin brings only a few hundred percent profits while, in their mind, Altcoins can bring thousands to tens of thousands.  To them, Bitcoin growing is exciting because the Shit coin they are holding will also get more expensive.  And when markets dump, most of them will sell and whine, fewer will continue purchasing their Shit coins to DCA their losses since their Coins are now worth nothing and fewest will turn to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin was not helped by any of the phases you mentioned.  It was the opposite.  Bitcoin keeps growing and growing while Altcoins get increasingly more Centralized, opposing Bitcoin's core values.  If you want my honest opinion, Altcoins are regressing while Bitcoin keeps progressing.

After the ICO market plummeted and it turned out that even some of the most promising and well-funded projects can't deliver according to expectations, I barely followed the next big things. Some of them were just hype, others managed to cut out a niche for themselves (like NFTs). I don't know what the next craze will be (maybe CBDCs at some point), but I don't think it will revolutionize the industry. Best case scenario, it has its brief popularity and then remains something occasionally remembered and used by others. If ICOs couldn't make Bitcoin less significant, I don't think anything can, until we have a major breakthrough which doesn't seem to be around the corner.

I will have to correct you for this, bitcoin is not a crypto craze, you can as well assume other cryptocurrencies that follows after bitcoin as the terms you may call them, bitcoin is a currency and asset and those that are adopting it aren't crazy people but future thinkers and knowledgeable people.


You can choose or decided to call them all manners of names because amidst them lies a number of shitcoins and scam tokens that has done alot of havoc on investors.


More reasons I will not accept with you that bitcoin is craze because it has never change from PoW to PoS, rather it remains constant by it mode of operations.

After the fall of grace of the NFT's and the concept of Metaverse, I would only bet that the next craze would definitely use smart contracts somehow (as Defi and NFTs did) and it would be probably advertised as a new way to earn money, instead of the technological case uses that could be applied to the technology, It would be the same mistake that the NFT's ecosystems committed, in my opinion.

This is an unpredictable ecosystem after all. It is important to DYOR and use one's common sense.

now that  exchanges are going under and people are feared for their assets "not your keys not your.... " thing , everybody moving their virtual assets to a cold wallet , which is a freaking usb drive and some papers .

since this is how it was done in the stone age , there's a need for a better way to store the precious coins .
there should be some kind of virtual space where coins can be deposited safely , without the need for stupid usb devices and writing some phrases on a piece of paper .

smart contracts (bitcoin prospective) are not smart. or if they are they are not used properly to maximum effect

they are just glorified multisig where it diminishes someone sole custody to be cooperative custody

yes its one step forward and moves a bit away from full centralised custodian and atleast gives some % control back to the depositor. but its yet to actually be a "next craze" event

Are you mistaken, I don't see any increase in bounty campaigns. and ICO will definitely never come back, it can be said that fundraising ICO is an old and extremely risky form.
Today, on the market, there are hundreds of investment funds, projects that only need a good idea and team will be supported and helped by the investment fund without spending much time and effort to mobilize capital from the community. Crowdfunding projects still exist but all are spam and scam, they have no way to raise funds from the funds so they choose bounty or airdrop for marketing.

I think the next crypto craze will be regulation. Once we are able to buy or pay anything with bitcoin then new times will come. And for it, we need global regulation on cryptos and not only local ones.

Right now regulations suck, and each country is trying to make its own rules, but that doesn't work because bitcoin is a global tool that let us buy or pay for services in other countries, that's why we need global regulation. And when they come it will be a new crypto craze.

Maybe the metaverse will become "the next crypto craze" or not. We have no idea because technology is constantly evolving and so is the crypto market. But what is of concern here is that whenever there is a "crypto craze" the crypto world develops significantly but this becomes unhealthy, it is evident that in the ICO or Defi trend, this trend makes the crypto world quite developed, but at the same time there are many scams and shitcoin launched into the crypto market, and this makes the market saturated and unhealthy for investor and crypto-enthusiast.

So, we basically got to the idea that Web3, regulation, NFTs, the metaverse, and the proof of reserves thing are still underdeveloped and did not got to the point where we could say it was a craze. I do agree that these technologies are still pretty underdeveloped and that we are still going to see a lot of new developments coming from there. What else could we consider?

His current hobby is hunting for airdrop incentives by running the Tesnet network node to get rewards. Many have joined, this is a new trend. But for other trends may be coming soon.
currently the positive trends are still hindered by the market being bearish and some of the problems caused by untrusted exchanges like FTX and some coin crashes like LUNA.
The trend will certainly continue when the market is bullish again.

I said the same thing a million times and I agree with you completely. I believe that NFT idea of ownership could be used for so many more things, it could end up being utilized perfectly one day and could grow so much.

It is obvious that we are not going to end up seeing how it will be a year later, or ten years later we have no idea how it will be, but we know that it is going to be better than what it is right now. I hope that people will realize the key to success on this NFT business thing is not to have just art, but some other things. Gaming joined, but it was just items being NFT basically, we need something much bigger than that for sure.

I still don't quite understand this hype around NFT. It seems to me that this is a strange and abnormal hobby. The pictures are for sale, but at the same time I don't find any special value in them! But I understand the logic is to buy some NFT pictures and then try to sell them somewhere more expensive? Probably the logic is like this, if not, then you can correct me please.

It's still a mystery but we'll see new projects roll out and replace old projects that can't progress. The metaverse may continue the new trend in the crypto market but NFTs could also be the next trend. We'll see for ourselves what happens later; in the meantime, we better focus on the market. I also don't really think about the next trend and prefer to focus on finding ways to still benefit from the market. And that is more important than predicting the trend that will emerge after this.

You are right, ICO craze is unlikely to return because the experience to participate in ICO has not been profitable for many investors in the past.

Next craze/boom of crypto is most likely to be NFT & Metaverse sector which is growing with every coming day as it has developed huge use case of NFTs, it is not just a piece of digital art but much beyond it. Virtually property in Metaverese will be used as real world property because it will have lot of value for advertisers to attract virtual crowd.

It is hard to predict. But I know that the next craze will start in the year bitcoin enters into another halving. So it is still actually bitcoin and then altcoins will follow. I believe the metaverse will become the next big thing in altcoins. Even Facebook and other private institutions are starting to build their own metaverse too. By 2024 and 2025 some metaverse will be ready by then and will officially launch. Play to earn and other ways of earning in the metaverse will be very interesting and it will become big.

Metaverse, Web 3, Halving so these are the big events that many are still hoping to bring more good trends in the market and for sure it will happen eventually. After this bear market, we can expect a more expensive Bitcoin and good altcoins because that is the only way to survive, which is to rise again. If you are thinking for preparing on that moment, right now is the perfect timing for that because the market is cheap and you can have a lot of good coins if you will buy now.

Not true, in the past, the ICO craze used to bring hundreds, even thousands of times more profit like today's projects. Current forms of investment, such as IEO, IDO, and IFO... are all variations of ICOs, and if evaluated in reality, those are just ICOs called by different names. I don't see too much difference between them.



I will agree with you on this prediction, many say that the NFT hype is over but I see they still have huge potential, the chance of a comeback remains. Next is the metaverse and web3 will be the next trend, this is also my prediction.

Your prediction about web3 craze/trend is right, many top analysts  think that this sector will be in the limelight in coming months and years. The advantages of web3 are decentralization, security and transparency which which is good for long term success of any project.  Current market offers good prices of coins which is lifetime opportunity to pick good web3 projects for long term investment.

In the long run, Bitcoin is still the mainstream, but as other applications in the encrypted world, tool DAPPs will continue to be launched to accept market tests. Safety, speed, convenience, and freedom are still the ultimate demands of the majority of users. I am more optimistic about the NFT and DAO sectors

You can't count bitcoin here. Bitcoin didn't create any craze. All all the "crypto craze" that you are talking about, did you notice one thing? None of them worked out well and eventually all of them died or are dying or isn't as trendy like it used to be. Not sure what you mean by the centralized exchange craze. Never saw a crypto centralized exchange craze. The point here is, not look for the next craze, instead learn from the past and avoid such things for your own benefit.

The gaming craze is going bonkers. Everyone wants to be part of the market. The competition is insane. It’s only going upwards from here for cryptocurrencies.

I'd be lying if I said I knew, most hypes that came out that I knew of literally just popped out of nowhere, metaverse, NFT's, and even p2e games where I was active back then. Sadly enough most of these don't really have a solid foundation that is kept up to date. I'm more of the side that's hopeful that some of the past crazes actually just create a proper solid foundation without all the influence of hype, something we can expect to develop properly even a decade later or something.

NFT still has that issue of the market being only filled with hype (though I've seen some quality ones), as for the metaverse there was a thread about its development with AR in this section in the past iirc? That's actually something I'm hopeful to see more (and not Zuckerbergs, if you can call it one).

Regulation is not a craze or anything nice that we should expect. I don't like regulations because once they are enacted we will be more controlled and we will lose our freedom. It is likely that we will no longer see the hype of bitcoin and projects if there is regulation and that will make the market less attractive. Take a look at the stock market, that's what regulations are doing, if you are a lover of regulations becoming stable, you can choose stocks or gold instead of crypto.

metaverse, nfts and P2E games are built with hypes which I think it was very impossible to see these projects without hypes and without the influence of someone who is capable of. Perhaps, it was very common now. They use to have that strategy to easily make a profit. But I never see this become a long-term project because of what it happens to ICO, IEO, and even Defi losses their popularity after the hype. And this can be possible for these new hypes projects. Yes, it is not important to have fame because investors look for the stability of the project, not instability.

Obviously it is pretty hard to tell which could be the next big trend within the crypto industry because the average user first knows about this trend when it is already happening. My guess would be though that Web3 implementations could be one big trend. Magicsquare seems to be a pretty big new upcoming project with investments from Binance, Kucoin and Huobi.
Another trend that i could imagine to happen would be the transition of already existing companies to the blockchain and therefore also the issuing of tokens from that company. Yesterday WeSendit launched on Pancakeswap and at the moment the price is at x5 of the presale price which is a pretty good achievement in this deep bear market in my opinion.

Possibly a solution for future similiar scammy situations like we have seen recently. Developers can improve security measures of investment platforms and exchanges for customers, so when you make an investment locking your funds for x time, a collateral is sent to your wallet and remain there (also locked) until the time period of the investment expires.

In my opinion that is what should be done. Simply PoR is too little and doesn't guarantee investors are safe from being scammed anyway.

Don't forget about DeFi which was once one of the hype, often hyped up, and finally now, as usual, has mushroomed and moved on to something else. The merger between NFT and Metaverse might still take place, as we know that before they reached their peak, bearish had come and finally they began to erode the bearish era. Even though the Metaverse has complex goals and is still growing. Maybe later this will still continue to develop and progress with more real progress.

Indeed, I ma sure that people will no longer be interested in ICO anymore, moreover with the huge scams in ICo that we have passed. This is old fundraising and we are not expecting that again. Although it was one of the successful beginnings for crypto fundraising, in fact, this way has several minus sides that will make scams, so many scams were there.

Regulations can reduce the excitement some people have over this market, but at the same time the effectiveness of those regulations is going to be limited, one example of this is what happened with icos, icos were incredibly popular at the time, however once there were too many scam cases the governments decided to act and passed regulations for the developers of the icos to follow, and since then the model basically died, but then we had several other methods of gathering funds and new applications for tokens which became incredibly popular as well for a time.

Not sure what will be the next crypto craze and hype, probably some collaborations or merge or something, and more on AI thingy like Metaverse but very enhanced to say that least. As for the NFT, I'm not seeing it that can last in the crypto market. It has been down in  the bear obviously and has been saturated.

Or maybe Play to <insert what's next here> craze as well.

That is a long shot though, we do not have a clue if people will understand what it could be used for. I know that there are plenty other ways that NFT idea (ownership proof) could be used, and that's a good thing, music for example took an interest into it and that could be good because royalties could be shared by the NFT owners, but at the same time we are talking about something small here, compared to what "pictures" became.

After the next bull run, we will see if people saw that potential or not, if there is nothing but images again, then we shouldn't wait for people to eventually understand, but if we have another thing growing thanks to NFT then it could maybe work.

Maybe some projects or apps that will reduce carbon effect on the environment?

We've seen that this has been the ongoing torn on part of crypto specially bitcoin because of it's PoW concept that for some, it made it's way against the environment.

So maybe there could be some who will have the so called solution about it. But for now, I would say that Metaverse might still be hot in the next bull run and so like the P2E maybe with some improvements.

The following projects that will be in are probably something with web 3.0 and how it affects our daily lives. It's going to be an activity where you will be able to integrate it quickly, and people who are into that could benefit a lot more or something related.

Mostly, people are interested in a couple of things.

• Investing in something that could potentially profit
• Getting part because they feel it's something that would make them valuable to the economy
• It's just damn useful

Those, I think, are the properties that could make a project valuable to people and make it mainstream.

I don't know for sure and most definitely won't know for sure what's going to be the next craze, and to be honest out of the craziness that's been there it's only the ICO that I've really participated in the rest are just monitoring and seeing if there's any difference with the ICO and actually it's the same only different names and other similarities who jump first will be the one who will benefit the most from all this craziness that is emerging in the crypto world.

You are absolutely right people are interested in projects those can generate profit and in particular passive/stable income which we like to have to meet with our growing expenses due to rising inflation.

In future beside web3 projects, we will also see upgraded model of DEFI projects in the market which will be more secure and offer restable returns on staking. DEFI has huge potential of growth but need to be properly regulated to avoid scams.

A gaming technology that will blow us away injected with cryptocurrency. I mean, there had been a lot of changes when it comes to gaming, now you can make money out of it while before players are the ones spending nonstop. Maybe it's time to give back or just a continuous flow of spending and earning while enjoying the game.
A different kind of market which will allow both companies and players to profit.
I always just worry about security, there will always be those who will take advantage and abuse it if they found a flaw in a game.

Well, Web3, NFT and Metaverse will still be the next crypto trend I guess maybe it will have some upgrade features to make people more interested in NFT and metaverse. It's hard to predict what will be going the next crypto craze we will see a clue when someone starts one and the other follows. Personally, I like the DeFi one and I hope I can see something new on DeFi.

It will certainly matter when the bull market starts again. If this were to happen in 2023, I would bet that Web3 projects will enjoy the greatest interest. Currently, I see a lot of promising projects of this type and I think that among them you can find hidden gems that will give you a xxx% profit. However, everything depends on the geopolitical situation in the world and how long we will wait for the trend to change.

Actually, it was before when games are still free to play. I know most of those games will still require you pay first to own them but that is only for the first time. Then gaming got evolved after so many years and we now we have these in app purchases which sucks because you can't seem to progress anymore if you don't have the money to pay on them. Later on the game evolved again and we now have play to earn games.

Props to cryptos or blockchain on why these concepts came to life. Devs can still earn with these not only the gamers because they can still be able to sell their own tokens which can be use as fuel inside the game for the players to make more money.

When the bull comes we should be expecting when the crypto craze will start because this time the market is always going very fine and more investors used to turn up to the market making things to be literally okay.

I hope for the next phase of the market to be very interesting and Bitcoin should reach like $100k so that make holders will feel the impact of the crypto market.

As a result of the many FUD incidents in crypto today, I think a developer or project owner will try to build web3 on each platform. Web3, I think will be the next phase in crypto, where users will have full control over their data. There are many new and innovative ideas being tested on Web3 in the next few years.

This is the same thing I am doing, I have been watching all the different crazes that have taken over the market and the forum and while they all promise that this time is going to be different all of them end in exactly the same way, with a few people getting millions of dollars and the rest of the investors have nothing to show for their money except a bunch of useless tokens in their wallets they can not even get rid of, so while I can understand why many people want to participate in such a thing they need to be careful as the chances of getting scammed are quite high.

I don't care much about these projects, which is mostly due to too much hype why these altcoins have became a craze. It's not even gonna last long.
So, I should be rooting for more Bitcoin usage as a mean of exchange or as a currency where we can use it to buy stuff and services. I'm hoping this to be the next craze that will last till Bitcoin continued to exist.
Most of the projects from the crypto development that you have mentioned above are either scam or not sustainable. Though, SOME of those helped crypto space to gather more investors in the crypto market, but nothing tops Bitcoin.

We have so many collapses in this industry this year that's why we have doubts that we cannot have bull seasons market again but we still we can in upcoming years to come for it will be halving year for bitcoin and that's the best thing to happen in the crypto market in next 2 years.

No one can tell what the craze will be next for crypto.

It is very difficult to find a right coin for investment with potential. Many people do not have enough experience to evaluate the coin and its potential. Also it is necessary to wait because during the bear market all coins fall in price even the best coins.

I do agree that metaverse and NFT world is not fully gone, and it may end up with something proper. Like imagine building a second world where you would own stuff via NFT, houses, cars, items, and then you use them the way you want.

Maybe that is the issue with the metaverse projects? I mean they can't really be ever over, because if you say "this is it" people will start to mock it and leave easily and the ones who are haven't entered yet will have a good reason not to enter at all. I have seen better graphics on single solo developer built games than what decentraland had, so it is quite possible that it would never take off.

For sure there will be new trend in the upcoming bull market but I do believe that P2E will have a second wave of hype again. I am not saying lets create a crypto watch where we all use watches etc type of hardcore stuff, but we already have physical stuff such as ledger nano wallets for example, I do not see a reason why something that is physical and digital combined finally being out becoming a bit more popular.

People always create low effort stuff and hope to get rich with it, and hope investors would give them millions of dollars for it, but that doesn't change the fact that time to time (very rarely) some idealists come out and do something that has been never done before and that could be with something physical this time around.

How could privacy coins be "private" if they comply with regulations? I think it would be all of the contrary, especially when crypto exchanges have strict KYC/AML rules. Zero-Knowledge proofs are the future, but if the technology is going to be regulated by the government, then its purpose would be futile.

You can see why ETH's transition from PoW to PoS had little-to-no effect over the cryptocurrency's market price. Now that a US government agency decided to prosecute a crypto exchange by providing staking services to US-based customers, investors will steer clear from anything PoS-related as much as possible. One thing for sure is that PoS is not what it used to be in the early days. Back then, you could stake Peercoin, Blackcoin, and some other good-old coins in a decentralized manner by just running your own node at home.
