Title: Crypto should be banned or soon to be.
Post by: Debilsumda on January 14, 2023, 01:49:25 PM
Or at least these sites with the whole database from people personal and "secret private keys and mnemonics". All the people who made them are scammers, even ian coleman shouldn't exist in its form. How is private when all people keys, adresses and all are publicly exposed in the freakin open web? No wonder why so many people got scammed and this is utter sh.t. I absolutely mean it while im trying to find my long lost adress before someone else do it. Even if you think a bit more out of the box you can get much more relevant adresses in ian coleman, forget all other databases exposed publicly. Crypto isn't same anymore, just throw an eye on the coleman wsite traffic between 2020 and mid of 2022...all these dorment accounts didn't wake up, they were scammed, by who its obvious. Prove me wrong that holding crypto is secure these days.

Crypto aka shitcoins should be banned, Bitcoin must not.

This depends a little bit if all words are independent. If yes the will be 24! = 620.448.401.733.239.439.360.000 permutations of the words. Assuming that you computer can check 1 billion permutations per second (which is is way too optimistic as this would assume that a signature / public key could be computed within one clock cycle which he can't) this would mean that your computer still would need 620.448.401.733.239 seconds which is 19674289 (19.6 million) years as the absolut minor / lower bound. This estimation however does not take into account technological breakthroughs in computing hardware which could very well happen in that time frame (:

Nice rant OP, but can you be a bit clearer on what you mean specifically? Have you fallen a victim to the fake Ian Coleman Bip 39 generator scam, discussed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5425314.0

Bitcoin is and never was a safe space. If you don't like the risk just stick to regulated centralised exchanges with client deposits insurance (they won't be insured with FDIC or FSCS though afaik).

And yes, we've been hearing about the crypto being banned "soon" since the beginning. Still waiting...

You've managed to post an amazing amount of BS in just a day. None of it even deserves a response.

But still, you can find everyone privkey in the open web with its balance, overall everything, how's this private way of keeping funds?
The second i find me account, will definitely withdrawal all, and make a lawsuit towards every owner of these wsites containing peoples private information. Only if someone didn't scam me before that and we gon read, "another crypto whale woke up or sum bs like this".

Nobody's banning anything. Shitcoins deserve to survive as much as bitcoin. In fact some shitcoins are as good as bitcoin, if not more. They aren't many but there are a few. And once you ban every shitcoin in existence you are also banning the new tech from emerging. Bitcoin don't need that kind of artificial monopoly. Bitcoin is and will always be the best as long as it updates itself with the new tech as it did before with segwit.

WTF are you talking about? Can you give an example of a website that has a database containing people's private keys and mnemonics?

I could prove you wrong with statistics and data, but why bother? It's obvious that you're unwilling do accept any form of evidence unless it confirms your own biases. I guess it depends on your personal perspective, but if you're looking for complete security, you might as well be looking for a unicorn riding a leprechaun.

I did expect you to not be silent, i will simply ignore you and let you enjoy whatever you done or didnt, can't prove anything towards you, but trust me, once i recover my funds, because now its way too early while my funds lay around the web and in ur list u made. You need to understand that u done is brilliant but not everything that's brilliant is good deed.

I know it won't be banned, every wealthy person holds crypto but in different ways. Im not against crypto don't get me wrong. Its eko friendly and more compact also its exquisite to have it, just these wsite containing private information should be gone and owners answer in front of temida.

Obviously, he doesn't know much about crypto and blockchain. It's funny that because the ledger is available to the public means there will be lots of users gonna be scammed or hacked.

You should know that countries banning BTC will just be left behind when all other countries are heading to digital currency. Eventually, the CBDC may actually allow BTC in their platform. There is no banning that will happen.

I said it wrong okay i understand, not the crypto should be banned, but all wsites containing all the information from people private keys. Its hard to find an adress information in them, but odds are  way too big, for them to exist. Like i said, check the wayback machine, and see how much simple site like the ian coleman tool, is used between 2020 and 2022.

And you're so fast to judge who knows and who dont, im for crypto to be legal tender since i got involved in it, before even satoshi accepted a coin in return 50+.

No altcoin can be as good as bitcoin, but there is no reason to ban altcoins. Altcoins are not as good as bitcoin, but crypto is an investment market and altcoins offer much better returns than bitcoin. Only people who don't profit from altcoins support banning them, they are just as jealous as the bitcoin haters out there.

Listen lads, i dont vouch crypto to be banned. My intentions are against the bunch of wsites and their creators to be held in court and state a hard proof that they didnt touched a single dorment or not dorment adress. You can't tell me that these people didnt steal at least a coin from couple adresses, even coin is little, some im sure stole huge amounts from these aka dorment accounts who suddenly woke up. No matter active or not its not right.

those websites are not what you think

read the first link

How does this work?

A private key is basically just a number between 1 and 2256. This website generates keys for all of those numbers, spread out over pages of 128 keys each.

This website doesn't actually have a database of all private keys, that would take an impossible amount of disk space. Instead, keys are procedurally generated on the fly when a page is opened. The page number is used to calculate which keys should be on that page.

using math you should be able to work out how many possible private keys there could ever be

and to check them all. how much time it would take

its like
115,792,089,237,316,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

imagine you tried 1million a second checks
115,792,089,237,316,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
seconds to perform

1,929,868,153,955,270,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   minute
32,164,469,232,587,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   hour
1,340,186,218,024,490,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   day
3,671,743,063,080,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   year
104,906,944,659,451,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000   35 years

yep in 140 year there are still
26,226,736,164,862,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
combinations you have not tried

try to realise how big that number is..
trying ONE million combinations every second for 1000 years
still leaves you with
3,671,743,063,080,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,00
that you have not tried

trying to find your random number in that number is going to take anyone more then they can imagine

there is soo much entropy/ breadth of possibilities its not simply finding a pin in a haystack its finding a specific grain of carbon that could be on any planet in the universe

there are only 43million used addresses

meaning 1 address is randomly somewhere in
2,666,340,940,292,410,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
possible private keys

This is the crypto market, and if bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency, it shouldn't be at the top of the ratings.
Bitcoin is also a cryptocurrency, the best cryptocurrency. Bitcoin would still work without altcoins, but bitcoin's value would never be what it is today. Bitcoin alone cannot create a market, and without altcoins, many people still don't know about bitcoin.
If you are here just to use bitcoin as a means of payment, or currency, then you don't need altcoins. But if you are here for profit like others, then altcoins are needed to increase bitcoin prices.

But you're looking for a single adress privkey, even if it takes you 10 years to find it, gonna be worthy, i can imagine that some even can use couple machines to browse in those wsites searching for a single adress, you need to find 1 with balance inside, also who gave the rights to loyce for example to list all these information with balances and public keys in it? Okay its not the private, but still is enough to give someone a lead, also im sure he's affiliated with one if those sites. It's just not right, yes you can see it in blockchain but its different when someone made a whole list arranged by balance and alphabetically.

those websites dont work as you think

what it does is have numbers from 1 to 128 on page 1
by you picking a "page number" its simply doing page number *128
and displaying the number, and then converting it to a private then a public

the website is not storing

its not checking prior to you deciding on a page number
its just displaying a random number of a page of YOUR choosing
converting it and then checking

there is no hack there is no storage. its just plain math

you're trying to find a specific grain of carbon in all the carbon of the universe

On some you can jump on different pages, other scan automatically, yes chance is little, but in this case imagine someone with a whole farm of 100 trash phones scaning constantly, tell me the result is the same like guessing the private key alone? I think little chance in case like this turns to enormous.

Also the fact that loyce answer was ad hominem is pure example that it isn't completely like you described it.

Also im curious whats the mystery behind the huge traffic on sites like this still will add ian coleman tool, between 2020 and 2022? How come sleeping adresess got drained with huge amounts in the span of couple months?

Forget my adress, i will find it this way even tho im vouching against it, its my way to regain it.

This confirms my suspicions, you're clueless. I'd advise you to hit the books again.

But nowadays you don't need to be experienced hacker to steal from people.

Then just go for it! Why not take a few coins from some of the "Bitcoin Rich List" addresses, what's holding you back?

Here, let me help you. Do a quick google search for the private key of this address:

Also, I suggest consulting the dictionary again to refresh your memory on the meaning of "ad-hominem"

Why should i steal from the people rich list, when my adress in there? And btw my first 50 btc comed from this adress you gave, 100 block mined. Can show archived data but why should i? I very well know what is ad hominem, and loyce or santander whatever his name is, said I'm talkin bs, i mean in uk we call it verbal, no man like him can give me verbal, nor u can chat to man like that. But it's the Internet everyone is smart these days, so allow it
Ps i meaned i will find it thru coleman tool, not loyce affiliated wsites

LoyceV and others said you were talking BS. This is not ad hominem, it is simply a statement of fact. Can you provide evidence to the contrary?

You don't have to steal coins from the rich list to prove your bullshit. Simply return the coins after you are finished, or even better, sign a message from one of the addresses on the list. If what you are stating is true, this shouldn't be a problem for you, right?

Dude, please check my previous post. While im searching for my adress, i just decided to say what i think and why these long sleeping wallets extraordinary woke up from nothing like some bible fairytale.
I just want to recover my wallet which by luck is still alive 9 years after my cpu farm was destroyed, 2 adresses are left untouched, the one im not looking for have some dust in it, that's all. And i dont like the fact that something that should be private, is exposed and can be obtained easily, im doing it manually, just found a nice algorithm in coleman tool which shows 40% of the adresses with the first 2 or 3 characters, its gonna be hard, but much easier than using the websites I llinked earlier. And how u think these dorment wallets woke up? Some people abused them, just because wallet isn't active doesn't always mean its without owner looking for it like me, even tho most are drained. Still i dont blame loyce or whoever, it's just not right, this community is way changed since i last remember it. And it's sad, but it will get worse

I was amused by the post, because you don't see them much here, as well as in other forums in bear markets, bitcoin haters and nocoiners come out right away to say that Bitcoin is a scam and is going to go to 0. In this forum I only remember trolldhon, I mean proudhon.

Now we have trollsumda. It occurred to me to look at his/her post history. Is this credible?

Just to mention i was jailed and layed 6 y for mining, because back then it was illegal  in Eastern Europe

No, trollsumda, "crypto" is not going to be banned at this point and even less for the bullshit you say.

Being in the dark is nothing to be ashamed of, we all start there. But once the light is on, ignorance becomes a choice. This is called "wilful ignorance," which refers to the conscious decision to avoid learning or accepting facts. It can be motivated by a variety of factors, such as prejudice, ideology, or self-interest. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with the majority, but it is irresponsible to simply close your ears and eyes to better-researched arguments. And that's the problem with "wilful ignorance." It makes people do or believe stupid shit like this...

Okay, look it that way, from my perception i talk in absolutes, and the things i wrote are backed up by people who were in the full meaning of the word robbed. For a idk what time i want to hear an explanation how and why also who did move this enormous amounts from so much accounts, then move to another and etc? Can someone explain me this, i dont have any data of how much worth of btc was moved from adress to adress, but for sure we talk billions. Also i will add again why is the traffic in those website that you have accces to the private keys is 100x bigger than the previous year? I can stand corrected, but noone gave answers that disproved mine arguments. Only 2 3 people don't explain, only try to shame someone, give me something to think, to change my perception, to accept that accounts arranged by value and alphabetically or websites containing private keys are not harmful. All you doing is telling that im the one who dont understand, so explain then at least one time. Or you just think its illogical because it didn't happened to you, because maybe you never had a whole bitcoin, and you're not "target", pure example of "this is bs, bcs it never happened to me or to the people I know" meanwhile nor you or the people you know have been with big possessions which were lose it doesn't matter how. Simply again check the stupid data of the traffic in all websites who contain information that shouldn't be public. Untill then whatever you say or gonna say is utter bs, because there is no dialogue, give me an explanation or proof, i will stand corrected again. I say, this is the point of those convos. Grow up, go get busy or idk explain

I said it wrong okay i understand, not the crypto should be banned, but all wsites containing all the information from people private keys.

"Private key websites" do not actually have a database of all the private keys - the storage for that would be prohibitively expensive. What they do is they actually generate a random range of private keys and their addresses.

That means, if you did not get your key leaked through a hack, the chances of these sites finding your key are zero.
