Title: Do you use bitcoin when gambling?
Post by: alani123 on November 11, 2023, 08:37:09 PM
I'm making this poll to see what form of payment is the most preferred by people here. Given that gambling is a popular and practical use of bitcoin, I'm interested to see what percentage of people still have it as their preferred funding method and perhaps for what reasons.

Seeing how bitcoin's fees have gone up a lot, I would assume that with the plethora of options for cheaper transactions, people must be using other options much more. Some might even prefer to use conventional means such a debit or credit cards.

Whatever your preference is, feel free to express why that is and also answer the poll (optionally). It's for research purposes only. :D

I prefer to use stable coin during bear market. I prefer to use bitcoin during bull market just like this time. I also prefer to use some altcoins during bull time like this, altcoins like litecoin and tron which are widely available on many gambling sites. I still sometimes but not common again use fiat on fiat casino. I still use all but using crypto more.

Using bitcoin to gamble, weigh too risky for me, I've some significant pieces of bitcoin which I've already stored in my non-custodial wallet, patiently waiting for the bull season to come, then I triggered my sell option just to generate substantial profits. What I'm saying is that, bitcoins are not meant to be staked for gambling, rather they're mainly utilized for trading and long-term investments. The bear market comprises of too many scammed and abandoned projects, I prepared using a stable coin to gamble because that's entirely how to earned in a stable proceeds. Stable coins like USDT or Trons, comparing them to Bitcoin is out of the picture.

Presently right now sending BTC to a gambling site is actually risky because of the network congestion, though I don't regularly gamble with bitcoin rather I use my local currency to gamble at least it ease stress of waiting for long waiting confirmation, I could remember my bad experience while I intended to make deposit with bitcoin which the game I about to place a bet just have few minutes to start so I quickly sent payment think it would confirm within 5 to 10 minutes time I was shocked that the transaction didn't confirmed and the game already started playing I have no option than to wait till it confirmed.

I was actually mad over it because what I predicted really came to pass and I was mad over everything why I couldn't make my deposit earlier than before I have the game, and someone like me don't like leaving money inside betting site maybe I could be tempted to bet unplanned games were I might waste that funds so what I mostly does is that whenever I am not sure of the game I won't deposit till I am well convinced about the out of the game though we knows that gambling are not 100 % correct but needs to be convinced about the outcome before placing bet.

i won't say most gamblers are using usdt because we don't have stats on this particular subject. but from my end, i guess, am always using btc for convenience purposes. as stake is paying btc for their sig campaign, you can already use it to bet your games. but if for instance i need to fund other casinos, i would use other alts like xrp or ltc, as they have relatively cheap fees esp these days. or usdt (trx). or whichever is convenient for me at that time.

Most of the time yes during the bear market but right now I prefer to hold it and used a stablecoin for my gambling activities so its value will remain and I can still increase my number of games. The market is rising again and many prefer not to use Bitcoin for now because of its growing value, I guess the decision to use crypto will vary depending on the market trend and many will sure look for alternatives.

I think the use of stable coin is preferable when gambling than using Bitcoin since the market is volatile and anything can happen suddenly that could reduce of increase the worth of our Bitcoin. Although everyone has there own choice and the best coin they preferred to use when gambling online especially for the crypto casinos.

Most time we tend to deposit our funds in Bitcoin but it could be converted to fiat just like few casino I have seen. They would convert your coin into fiat so that it will enable you to gamble in your local currency but withdrawal is still in cryptocurrency which the value is going to be converted to the same worth of any available coin you want to use to withdraw.

I have only used the bitcoin payment method to fund my casino account a few times, and if I can think well, I can recall all the occasions that I did that. I have been making use of fait deposit, and most times I make use of altcoins like LTE and USDT on the tron network. This is due to the fast deposit this option allows me to make, and the confirmation doesn't take much of a time for it to arrive in my betting account, unlike a bitcoin deposit, which takes up to 2–3 confirmations depending on the casino being used.

With the high rate on the bitcoin transaction fee, I will not even consider using it to fund my betting account unless I'm not ready to place a bet that very day, because for the transaction to proceed, I will either need to pay more of the fee or wait until the transaction gets confirmed, which means if one wants to bet on a particular sport game, the game might end up starting and at the same time ending before the deposit will arrive.

You know, I was just thinking about this the other day.  With how high Bitcoin fees have gotten lately, I gotta imagine it's making folks think twice about using it for online gambling.  I mean, one day the fees are through the roof then the next day they've dropped down again.  It's been a real rollercoaster ride.

And with those swings in fees, it makes you wonder if people are sticking with Bitcoin or maybe going back to credit cards more often.  Im curious to see which way the wind is blowing these days and  are the credit card companies stealing back some of the gambling transactions as folks get fed up with the unpredictable Bitcoin fees? Or are crypto die-hards sticking it out anyway since they love Bitcoin so much?

A straight answer to your question would be a Yes, in crypto gambling most persons still use Bitcoin but the most common I have come across is USDT that has been the common one I've found amongst gamblers mostly on most crypto gambling platforms but some still uses Bitcoin.

Personally I use USDT and Fiat but it varies depending on the gambling platform I'm using, sometimes for the sake of convenience I just use fiat because it's most compatible with my card most times but if my picks for the day have their options on the crypto platform I wouldn't mind I will fund my wallet and gamble with the crypto platform, so basically it's a mix and whenever I choose to use crypto I use USDT

the majority of my gambling capital is USDT based on tron, that's because tron fees are quite cheap compared to btc fee, I've also been used to using it for a long time, apart from tron I also gamble quite often with Bitcoin Cash and dogecoin, I rarely use btc in my gambling because I invest with bitcoin and not using it until my target price is reached, in fact I often buy bitcoin when I win gambling. btw, I once wanted to try gambling using the Lightning Network, but I saw that not many crypto gambling sites accept it.

I use Litecoin to play, this is because it has very low fees and the withdrawal amount on stake.com has a low withdrawal amount. So it's really worth it to deposit $10, play and when or if I win something, I immediately withdraw it and as the withdrawal amount is very low and the fees are also very low, so it's worth it. in stake the minimum withdrawal for litecoin is 3$ while in the case of bitcoin the minimum withdrawal amount is 7$ and it will be subtracted 2.50$ this is if I exceed for my case that I bet with low amounts of money, but still these values are very low in stake

in other casinos the minimum withdrawal amount is very high and has higher fees, which is why in my opinion playing at stake has many advantages, see that in the case of USDT the minimum withdrawal amount is 2.50 and has a fee of 1 USDT, in my opinion, pays off a lot. now when people deposit in cryptocurrencies in casinos while the market is rising, then it is necessary to be careful because when the market drops a lot then the bank's money will also reduce a lot, if the person plays with cryptocurrencies, the best option is to be playing when the market is falling and take advantage while the market is rising

I feel is a little bit waste to gamble with bitcoin when I'm suppose to accumulate it especially during this bull season. So I will prefer to invest btc by buying and hodling and not to use it to gamble. Although when you win and you receive bitcoin as winning, it gives you good value but to risk it away in gambling gives a second thought.

Another factor to consider is the fee for transaction. It is usually higher with bitcoin so using usdt makes it more easier.

I often use Bitcoin for gambling because it's convenient, but when my budget for playing runs out and transaction fees increase, that's when I turn to using altcoins. Of course, it also depends on the platform's support.
I tried using my debit card once for gambling when I ran out of available crypto at that time, and I wanted to continue playing because of promotions. However, that only happened once and didn't happen again.
So, I prefer crypto because I feel more in control and secure using it.

With the price of Bitcoin now, it's easier to gamble with it because every sats that's being used for betting seems to be worth it. And you won't mind the quantity on how much it is especially if you're looking at the price and value of it based on USD. That's why it's easier for me if I'll use Bitcoin. But I am not closing doors in the use of other altcoins that doesn't have much value IMO.

I'm done doing fiat gambling but my friends are encouraging me because they're not in crypto casinos and they are not interested on diving here. But the same feeling for me to them that I am no longer interested with it because it's harder to withdraw when you get tracked by the bank or the apps that you mostly use for withdrawals, I might even get a red flag from them because it's known that they don't like source from gambling or casinos.

For me, Simply and honestly if the casino that I chose has that feature where you can turn your Bitcoin or any other not stable coin into USD or any other currency, I would deposit with bitcoin as a priority so I don’t trade my Bitcoin. But in the other case, where the casino doesn’t change the Bitcoin into a currency sold and showing it like bitcoin or satoshies, I can’t calculate every time and sometimes you bet more or less than what you wanted.
In conclusion, gambling has nothing to do with the type of crypto you deposit. But, preferably don’t trade your bitcoin for other more volatility coins.

You're correct on this, I shifted to coins that will confirmed in seconds or minutes and with the lowest fees possible, Bitcoin transactions for the last two weeks have been quite annoying I have one transaction that took two days to confirm and I have to accelerate it with additional fees, but I always shift to using Bitcoin when things normalize in the blockchain, majority of gamblers preferred to use Bitcoin traditionally.
But there should be a backup in case there's congestion on the network or you have to defer or delay playing and wait for things to get better, I never use credit cards in all my betting ventures for privacy, those who do I think have trusted the platform they are playing.

Since I don't intend to keep my winning in my account for long period in the account I think I just prefer gambling with stable coin such as USDT to avoid any fluctuating of value of price of the money won l. Although I understand the importance to gamble with Bitcoin in period like this because of the increase but I still prefer gambling with stable coins and one thing would again that would influence this choice is the massive increase on the fee to actually fund your account if you are using Bitcoin, no one would want to spend that much to play or gambke when the odd of winning is even very small.

I’ve used it in the past but I just feel more comfortable using other cryptocurrencies instead of bitcoin. Bitcoin as we all know gives so much dividends if you know how to take care of it and I always make it a point to separate my investments with my leisure, and oftentimes when I use bitcoin I find myself feeling like I blur the line between my money for investments, and for funsies, plus itMs just no fun betting on a currency that is volatile and insecure at times as bitcoin. So I changed my ways and have since used only USDT to bet on games, I found it the most effective, as I could also see how much my earnings accumulate when I gamble.

I've never gambled online using fiat as I mostly used crypto gambling platform and prefer to gamble locally if doing it that way.
As for I used altcoins and bitcoin for gambling purposes, I mainly used bitcoin for most situation whatever the market it is and even with the high volume transaction and fees, I still use bitcoin with a standard fee and also deposit altcoin and some stablecoins to gamble. Not sure why, but I feel much better gambling with bitcoin as I feel that my strategy works better with it, I mostly play dice and slots with bitcoin. For most case, I only gamble with altcoins and stablecoins thru poker and sportbets.

Other crypto (incl. stables)

Speaking about crypto then the only thing i do make use is on other alts specially on the time that the fees were high specially as of this moment.
Somewhat there are really moments i do make use of my own BTC but not all the time because whenever i do lost up bets on using Bitcoin then it do really hurt so much.
Deep inside i do really know that spending up bitcoin is never been that ideal knowing about its potential and probable increase in price then it is really just
that waste of spending it out.

Somewhat most gamblers doesnt really care about spending as long they are enjoying themselves and thinking that the money they have spent
would really be just that payment for the entertainment that they do get. So it would really vary into each individual yet we do
have that different kind of approach towards things.

What ever is cheapest and fastest to move. I rather not gamble with stablecoins as i just need more crypto. And when crypto is moving up i feel like i am losing if i am not making more then the altcoin gains against usdt.

I might use usdt if prices are moving down i can send it via fast L2 like arbitrum, polygon or bsc. But i rather not because that doesn't really differ in anyway from playing in normie fiat money casinos. And i feel we lose something important ideologically, if we move away from real cryptos to stablecoins and fiat money.

No, bitcoin requires a long transaction time and transaction fees are also expensive so I prefer USDT when playing on crypto online gambling sites. I also sometimes still play on local online gambling sites that use fiat currency.

Last time I gambled using TRX and it turned out that the network fees were much cheaper. Maybe in the future I will use TRX for gambling because TRX withdrawal fees are cheaper than USDT if we use Binance

because I have Bitcoin at the moment, so that's all I can use. If I am interested in using altcoin because of the low fee, of course, I will exchange it 1st for altcoin before sending it to a gambling site, right? This means I have to spend 2x fee, bitcoin and altcoin to gambling sites. This exception for altcoin user who probably wore it for a long time, maybe better if he should use that. he will spend a lot of fees if exchange it again to bitcoin. I have seen many gambling sites that accepts altcoins, so it's not a big problem if use that for deposit.

I'm expecting that gamblers using alternative cryptocurrencies are more than those gamblers who prefer to use Bitcoin. Of course the number one reason is transaction fee. Using Bitcoin for gambling is costly. Especially if you're usually sending small amounts only to and from your gambling account's wallet, Bitcoin is not the efficient choice. Altcoins are the better option.

And then there's also the reason that Bitcoin is expected to rise high in the coming months. This is another reason why gamblers prefer to keep their Bitcoin rather than gamble them.

Had it been, I guess I simply wouldn't have bet at crypto casinos, period. The thing is that I play poker with fiat and in cryptocurrency casinos I have played casino games to try and see how they are, but it is not my thing, being EV-games.

I haven't gambled using bitcoin for deposits for a long time, I prefer altcoins because the transaction fees are cheap and fast compared to bitcoin. I'm lazy if I have to wait a long time for my bitcoin deposit to enter my gambling site balance, so I prefer altcoins

I like using Trx the most because I think the transaction fees are very cheap and the WD fees from the gambling site are also cheap. Some gambling sites also provide smaller WD limits if using Trx rather than stablecoin or Bitcoin, such as coins.game which provides a minimum withdrawal limit of 50trx while for usdt the minimum withdrawal is 20usdt

I prefer stablecoins for gambling just to stay out of the tension of the volatility of the market because if you are using Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency that is highly volatile, you will always be worried about the value of your bankroll dropping at any given time as the market tends to move up and down unpredictably and when that happens and you have $100 worth of Bitcoins in your gambling account, you will only have $50 worth of it remaining.

If you are using a stable coin for your gambling activities, you won't have to worry about all that, and if you have some Bitcoins that you are not spending on gambling, their value might increase over time and then you can convert them and use the money on gambling and you will have more money to gamble with.

In the past, I'm using Bitcoin to bet on gambling sites. However, I've realized that the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase from time to time. I'd rather keep my Bitcoin and let it be stored right now until the next ath. Using Bitcoin in gambling makes me unable to track the amount of money I've already spent. So right now, I prefer using fiat and stablecoin. I am more comfortable using these than Bitcoin. I have also used other crypto in gambling before to avoid high fees.

Either BTC or USDT(TRX) for me, but we all know that the fees are killing us all. So most of the time I switch to USDT to play on crypto based casino. But I also have one option, used fiat locally as we have a local wallet that incorporates online gaming as well. So I can switch on which I prefer the most, but for now since I mentioned about the fees, then I will go to fiat based as the mode of gambling in my end. And then just hold on BTC or at least save them for the bull run. So for smart gamblers, not that we don't like BTC, but we should look for better options right.

I will always choose stable coin over bitcoin when there is a market downturn and when transaction fees are high just as we have now. But the reverse is the case when the fees are reduced and are in a bull run. There are some gambling sites that I have tried using my local fiat and it worked without any hassle. Sometimes, I abandon cryptocurrency altogether and use the fiat. Mostly this is due to convivence and my preference. The is not fixed rule.

Like you noted, it’s all about preferences and what the person finds more easy to use at the moment. The bitcoin network is a bit congested at the moment and this has cause the transaction fees to be quite high. People might be put off by the high cost of sending bitcoin to your crypto gambling account and may opt to use other methods that is cheaper and seemingly faster.
When the fees have significantly reduced, you’ll be sure to see a rise in the rate of people who uses bitcoin to gamble.

I used to enjoy gambling with Bitcoin but the transaction fees have become too expensive, and the processing times are too long. It can be frustrating when we don't have enough time to wait, and the amount of Bitcoin we transfer is not significant enough to justify the cost. So Im currently using fiat money since it's faster than bitcoin.

I don't use Bitcoin for gambling. I usually deposit usd for gambling from the starting of gambling. Many gambling website and application has option to deposit your cash in Bitcoin and withdraw in Bitcoin. I never deposit Bitcoin in gambling but many time I withdraw my winning money in Bitcoin. I thik that maybe use of Bitcoin in gambling if this is use of Bitcoin in gambling then i use Bitcoin in gambling.

If the mempool is becoming more congested and the fee to get your transaction confirmed is too expensive for you to pay, you can still use free accelerator like ViaBTC which I know to be the only free accelerator that is existing as of now. You can read about it and know the rules required to get your transaction accelerated.

Why would I use the coin with the best "store of value" or the highest hash rate? I prefer to use stable coins that has almost zero volatility and if I win big, I withdraw some and I buy Bitcoin (BTC) with the Fiat.  ;D

I started out playing with Bitcoin and realized that it was a huge mistake. I would much rather play with something else and use the profit from that to buy more bitcoins and then hoard the shit out of it until the Moon hits us hard.  ;)

Yes, when the fee is still cheap. Not, when the fee is expensive like present.

I see no point to force using Bitcoin for gambling, the reason why I choose Bitcoin is since I hold it for long term and most casinos accept it. Not all casinos will accept altcoins that has a cheap fee.

I use Bitcoin every time I deposit at a casino with Tron and Doge as my backup now that the transaction is quite high and takes a lot of time to confirm I shifted to Tron and Doge, I always look on mempool in case there is congestion on transaction there was a time that I ignore the recommended fees and got my funds stuck and I have to RBF it for it to confirm I wasted 5 hours waiting for the transaction to confirm so if there are congestion the best coin or token to use for me is Tron and Doge, I think I'm not the only one using an alternative, whenever there's a congestion.

Bitcoin transactions are sometimes full and jammed when their prices increase and that is the most annoying thing about using bitcoin when you want to gamble, usually I look for other alternatives using stablecoins from the blockchain network which is fast and easy, after all why should I use bitcoin isn't bitcoin the main crypto asset? which has a very expensive value compared to other cryptocurrencies, especially considering that Bitcoin will be halving where supply will also become increasingly scarce.

I think gambling using bitcoin is not the right step but it all depends on the decision of each gambler because sometimes there are people who want to feel more adrenaline when gambling when using bitcoin of course it will increase more because the price is expensive, to be honest, personally I have regretted losing bitcoin When I discovered gambling at that time I spent some bitcoins and coincidentally the price of bitcoin was still relatively cheap, but when I saw the high price now I regretted it a little. lol  ;D

I gamble more by making deposits using Bitcoin because that is the money generated from the signature campaign because so far I can say that I have never gambled using money from outside this forum, but I have also used stable coins or altcoins when the only coin in my wallet is available, but more than 70% is Bitcoin.
It's not that fun when we look at the current network fees and also when Bitcoin is going down because the casino will convert it to USD so we will spend more Bitcoin when we want to gamble, for example with $100.
However, I am sure that gamblers have their own preferences and thoughts, so network fees that are high or Bitcoin prices that are cheap or expensive do not prevent them from still choosing BTC.

For me, it depends if there is no congestion I prefer Bitcoin it doesn't matter to me if the price moves up or down as long as it is confirmed on time but if circumstances force me to use other coins I'm ok with stablecoin, what concern me is the transaction fee and the time of confirmation, a gambler do not want to wait hours for him to play you will end up adding more funds to accelerate the transaction so its better to use stable coins and just trade it to Bitcoin if you win.

Here I choose other cryptos for betting in casinos and rarely use BTC as a betting option. Then it occurred to me why the casino wouldn't be willing to offer some sort of conversion feature for BTC, at least once we had some wins and wanted to make BTC a withdrawal option, perhaps it would be the first casino to have such a feature or already existed? because I don't play too much in various types of casinos apart from focusing more on playing at Duelbits.

It would be better to have more responses in the survey because personally use all 3 options (with certain proportions). Based on the site/event to bet on, I decide what is best to use... there is no a "fixed choice" also because certain market or certain platform can/can't accept FIAT/crypto/btc etc...

It is exactly in these cases that I have other coins which I mine like Ethereum Classic and Zilliqa which I convert to Litecoin as the fees in Litecoin are always the best to use from what I have seen.I do not recommend depositing with Bitcoin right now as a 13 dollars deposit for example needs about 2.83 dollars as fee in order to have it included in 25 Blocks and if you want it faster then that 2.83 dollars goes up much further so not recommended at all during such time to deposit and play with Bitcoin,it is against the player, you,in the first place.Personally I like super cheap fees like those of Litecoin.

When you gamble with bitcoin the value of bitcoin can change fast. This might affect how much you win. Your bet might be worth more or less when you cash out. Making the gambling more unpredictable. So it's good to think about these changes when using Bitcoin for betting. Using fiat for gambling is better because its value doesn't change fast like Bitcoin, making it easier to predict how much you might win or lose when betting.

My take on this, it depends on which currency is available at the time that you want to gamble.
Most gamblers chose the alts based from the poll here, maybe owed to cheaper transactions over btc.
Especially these days where it needs higher fees. But for some, they will still use fiat as they are using their credit/debit cards.

I can't actually remember when last i deposited bitcoin on a gambling casino and used it to gamble, and this is because most of the bitcoins i hold are for investment purposes not for gambling, i am saving in bitcoin most especially now that we are approaching a bull run which many of us are speculating will be coming towards the ending of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.

For all my gambling activities, i prefer to use other altcoins in the likes of shib, trx, doge coin, and so on, and whenever i feel like making use of something stable, i make use of usdt, when i decide to play on a local casino, i make my deposit and withdrawal in our local currency.

Bitcoin is longer for gambling, those gambling with bitcoin i supposed are those who earn bitcoin from their signature ad campaign and dont want to convert to other coins, for me, i take the time to convert some of my bitcoin to other altcoin before depositing the altcoin back to the casino, if i want to gamble, i stopped gambling using bitcoin a long time ago.

not sure and depends on my wishes but more often than not I always use BTC because you know most gamblers use salaries from campaigns and I also do the same thing betting using BTC from campaign results but sometimes when my budget runs out and I see the football team that will compete usually I use stable coins to avoid huge fees on BTC.

from what I've read here, almost the majority of people here gamble using stable coins for the same reason as not to waste too much just to pay transaction fees.

I rarely bet with cash as that would be a mistake from my side but whenever I have some crypto to spare ( BTC , LTC , TRX , ETC ) I do bet using them. Also , most of the crypto gambling sites also accept cash to bet so pretty much they merged together the cash option + crypto option and now , a lot of people who used cash to bet , moved to crypto and vice-versa. For the bookies it's a big win for sure and I won't be surprised of our local bookies from our countries will follow this model soon.

I use USDT on my gambling account, because that's what I find more convenient to use compared to using Bitcoin or FIAT. Bitcoin is clear I hold onto it and will not use it for light things like gambling, payments, etc. And for FIAT, I don't use it because of privacy and security concerns. Yes, even though the casino platform in question says that their payment route is secure, I still don't really believe in putting my debit card number when making a deposit and usually the WD process takes a long time, so USDT is still my best choice.

It doesn't matter what currency you use when gambling because I think almost everyone considers their winnings or losses in terms of dollars.  I also give more priority to stablecoins and often use TRX because it is very fast to deposit and withdraw. Sometimes I also use bitcoins when I have bitcoins in my personal wallet.  But when I deposit from an exchange to a gambling site, I use TRX or Stubble Coin to avoid high withdrawal fees and have a quick deposit success.

Although I know that Bitcoin volatility is what makes it stand out but I think I prefer gambling with more stable coins to avoid so many things like fluctuation of funds and the rest. Just imagine the case with the price  fee of Bitcoin now, you would send alot and be charge alot of money to actually deposit in your betting account and the worse part of it is that even the gamble you want to gamble there is no certainty to if would actually win the bet you want to place.

Even before the fee is this high I always feel somehow using Bitcoin to gamble, I think I like using stable coin to gamble more because I will know how much I am risking on a game, I don't want to use calculating worth of Sats and few online casinos don't show value in dollars too.

If you are making money in Bitcoin and you are also a gambler it will be difficult for you to keep using Bitcoin to gamble, because you understand the worth of Bitcoin, instead of storing your Bitcoin for long term hold you are risking it and losing it, so it's possible to feel bad about this.

But you have a choice to avoid Bitcoin when gambling, there are many options like LTC or USDT, most new and old online casinos are now accepting different type of payment options on their platform, it makes things easier for all gamblers.

Used to use BTC, switched to better and cheaper alternatives in terms of fees. Most crypto casinos service most altcoins that are generally used nowadays anyway even if they were new. I also use fiat sometimes, not really that particular when it comes to where my funds come from. It also doesn't help that I've pretty much set up my crypto wallet to have said coins instead of Bitcoin, that wallet is mostly tucked away in my hardware wallet never to be touched for quite a while really.

Yes, i completely agree with you, USDT is always the best choice for me as well when it comes to gambling, and it also offers one of the cheapest withdrawal fees, most especially when withdrawing from binance exchange to whatever casino, on binance smart chain network, the fee is around $0.2 cents, one of the cheapest compared to bitcoin withdrawal that could cost up to $2 when withdrawing from a personal wallet, and could cost even much more when withdrawing from an exchange, this is if we disregard the current mempool congestion that have cause the fees to skyrocket above what not very many can afford to pay.

And even outside of the fees, using stable coins like the usdt for all gambling activities makes keep track of your gambling profit and loses very easy, unlike in bitcoin where the price is not stable, one could loss $1 in bitcoin today, but by tomorrow, that loss must have become $2 if and when the price of bitcoin rises.

Most of the times I deposit BTC and so I continue gambling with it. I also use stable coins like TRX for gambling.
The tx fee is less and since the price is low it gives a sense of feeling that we are playing with more money since the number of coins are more.

Each option has its own advantage and disadvantages. I will share my opinion on the three and my preferred type.
Bitcoin is of course, is one of the best type of ways to fund betting platforms, I like it because it's easy to have more bitcoin, and times like this, it will sweat to leave your money in bitcoin because it's seems the market is gaining some momentum. If you have $20 for instance, when bitcoin moves up, u will certainly make more dollars and you don't need to worry about any KYC of sort and fair privacy to some extent. Though, it's difficult to make deposit now through bitcoin because of the fees is discouraging.

Fiat is also good but you don't have any privacy, when you transfer, the banks know the destination of your deposit and withdrawals but the fees are less significant. Another red flag of fait platforms is KYC is a most, you have to do it because of regulations. However, somehow I don't know how sporty don't ask for KYC, they asked for email and mobile number and you are good to go to and you can withdraw your fiat at any time without KYC but your name must match the destination account number you are making withdrawals too, I'm not sure maybe it was because they are license in the country.

Bitcoin is to the best especially for outside casino but the fee is not friendly right now. Using $20 as fee for deposit and more for withdrawal will be insane for me to do but alternatively, I may use USDT tron to avoid fees if there is urgent need for deposit.

I'm a hodler so I kept all the sats that I could get hold of, especially now that we are entering the Bullrun, I prefer stable coins and Tron when playing because the fee is very cheap and fast to confirm when it comes to using cryptocurrency on casinos small investors are likely to use altcoins because they are hodlers compare to big investors and gamblers who can take the risk of using Bitcoin when playing in casinos.
I might use Bitcoin when the market stabilizes but if the bull run is coming altcoin is my preference.

Since it's a Bitcoin forum and every casinos being promoted here are crypto ones, it's likely most people here use Bitcoin to gamble. If people had interest for gambling in fiat currency, they would probably seek for another category of casinos which doesn't belong on this forum. It would be really strange and contradictory if the public of the largest Bitcoin forum of the internet was using fiat or even stablecoins to bet, instead of BTC currency.

Bitcoin makes gambling much more convenient, accessible and practical. You don't have to deal with the bureaucracy of local regulators and banking services in order to make your transactions to or from a virtual casino. You exclude a worthless middleman from the situation. It's so good that Bitcoin gambling is a growing industry for more than a decade already.

Bitcoin is also very popular and many people bet with Bitcoin on various casino platforms. But I haven't deposited much bitcoins for gambling so far before I deposited like $30 bitcoins in my account. But most of the time I used USDT to gamble and deposited them into my account which is easiest. Again, there are some gambling sites in my country that support the local currency of my country, so I deposited my real money there. But I think it's best to bet them by depositing cryptos rather than asking for everything and it seems much easier to me. And that's why I think betting with crypto currency is my favorite, many people like this move and many people don't. But there are many people who don't bet with Bitcoin but instead deposit money there by credit card denominated in local currency of their country. And bet with that money but it's a matter of personal preference, it's probably the most people nowadays who use credit cards or various payment methods to deposit and bet on gambling.

      -   I haven't tried to use Bitcoin as a match for gambling, and at this time, it doesn't seem to be recommendable in my opinion. Because this is the period of Bitcoin accumulation due to the upcoming halving and also the bull run in 2024–2025.

The only thing I always use is USDT stable coins, and sometimes I also use Dogecoin to use for gambling. That's why not all crypto gambling has dogecoin choices to match.

Bitcoin takes a long time for block confirmation, which may be one of the reasons why Bitcoin is used less for gambling.  Because people who gamble don't like to wait for how many quick deposits gamblers are more focus. In this case, Bitcoin may be used less for gambling. But there are many who own a lot of money and have huge amounts of crypto who feel comfortable using only bitcoins for security for whatever purpose it may be. however, Bitcoin is avoided by those who deposit small amounts for gambling because, in addition to taking time for Bitcoin block confirmation, its transaction fees are often very high. For example, Bitcoin transitions currently cost $10+ But if one thinks about secure transcation then I would say Bitcoin is the best

I have been of the opinion for several years now that the Bitcoin network has become very expensive, not only for casino deposits, but for any other transactions. And after the Bitcoin network became a technology for using NFT - Ordinals, it became meaningless. There are several other cheaper and faster blockchains for casino deposits, and BTC is a great way to save value.

Many people prefer using other altcoins for gambling and avoid bitcoins. The reason is not only the high transaction fee but it is also the confirmation times. You may use Litecoin, tron or Dogecoin and can have the transactions confirmed in seconds and with almost no transaction fee. Those gamblers with low portfolios and those who often deposit in and withdraw from gambling sites may prefer other altcoins over bitcoin.

Some might even prefer to use conventional means such a debit or credit cards.

I don't think anyone who knows about cryptocurrency would go back to the conventional payment methods and use debit or credit cards for gambling deposits. Unless anyone is playing at a site that has no option of crypto deposit, only then we can think of credit card deposits, but I will avoid those platforms with no crypto support.

I am using Litecoin again after the surge in Bitcoin price.
I don't think I am going to use Bitcoin again for some time. The fees are too high when converted to dollars. Well, maybe until they lower the fees again because I believe they should be dynamic and it should change once this is all settled.
For now, I will be using the cheapest one when it comes to fees and it's also fast so it's not like it's that bad.
Also regarding the weekly and monthly bonuses given, I now prefer LTC because I could somehow receive more numbers that could be divided into many bets unlike when it's in Bitcoin.
Lucky are those who kept their Bitcoin in gambling sites, they can now withdraw and get more money.

Bitcoin is one of the crypto assets that is often used by many sites, websites or casinos as one of the best currencies that is often used, Bitcoin is clearly a lot of people who use it.

However, as time goes by, the growth of casinos and digital/crypto currencies continues to grow from one or two crypto currencies used in online casinos, We can see that currently one casino uses dozens of types of crypto assets that can be used, one goal is: to make it easier for users to process deposits and withdrawals.

Honestly, when I first got to know online casinos, of course Bitcoin was my choice, but for almost two years I no longer use Bitcoin to gamble, for various reasons, for example: Transaction fees are high, so I switched to USDT, it's faster, cheaper fees and other reasons, for now I gamble using USDT, but it is also possible that Bitcoin will be used again in the future.

So it's good to think about these changes when using Bitcoin for betting. Using fiat for gambling is better because its value doesn't change fast like Bitcoin, making it easier to predict how much you might win or lose when betting.

exactly this is the reason I never use Crypto for gambling. I can't imagine that I win big at gambling, then when I want to cash out, the crypto price has gone down, because we don't do gambling/betting for 5 or 10 minutes, sometimes from putting bets to cashing out takes times for hours while crypto prices can change in minutes.

buying cryptocurrency is actually like gambling itself. it won't feel good that you put more risk when all you want at gambling is just fun. it would be torturing your feeling.

A 2$-3$ fee can be easily recovered through a single bet and it’s really inconvenient to send my token from non custodial wallet to exchange just convert it on token that has cheaper fee.

I believe many user still use Bitcoin to gamble if they are a natural Bitcoin holder that is gambling regularly since the high fee is not that high to the point that it almost cover most of the balance on the transaction.

I see many of us must have stopped sending BTC because of the high fee. Crazy that it won't adjust automatically, there should have been a system for this because this happens every time the price of BTC goes high.

But even before the high fee, I have been using altcoins in playing on casinos. From Doge to TRX it's always a good option to make use of them whenever the casino accepts them as well. Among the altcoins, I prefer Doge though.

That's true, it's a shame if you use bitcoin when the bullish situation is made for gambling tools, so logically we should hold the bitcoin that we have for the Bullrun Halving Bitcoin phase.
It is better to use Altcoin to gamble, and I also think the same that most people or gamblers of crypto use Altcoin as a tool they gamble in Crypto casinos, especially small investors as you say.

If you have been talking or not using Bitcoin as my gambling tool in the casino, of course I have, and used to use bitcoin often to meet my gambling activities. To be honest, I was quite sorry why I didn't just keep Bitcoin at that time than to use for gambling. ;D

I prefer to use stable coin during bear market. I prefer to use bitcoin during bull market just like this time. I also prefer to use some altcoins during bull time like this, altcoins like litecoin and tron which are widely available on many gambling sites. I still sometimes but not common again use fiat on fiat casinos. I still use all but using crypto more.
Bitcoin has always been my preferred currency for making bets reasons being that with Bitcoin i can I have double the chance of stability and less volatility if against what we have with stable coins like USDT, although it be important to note some few things when it comes to chioce of currencies to use and what they advantages are to us as gamblers but mostly, there is no too much preference to any currency as long as it depends on what currency i have at hand for the deposit.

I prefer to use Bitcoin rather than other cryptocurrency. Maybe sometime I will use stable coin. But most of the time it's going to be Bitcoin. I don't want to use something that could be tracked back to me. Gambling is illegal where I live. So I don't want any trouble and for that reason I like to stay away from centralized cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin would be the first choice for me but if there's a problem or the fee is too high I might choose for an alternative such as other cryptocurrency.

I prefer to gamble using stable coins for the same reasons as others have said to get easier transaction fees but occasionally I also bet using bitcoin as it is uncertain but more often I use USDT which for me sometimes makes me feel lucky.
Maybe it's just a coincidence or just my own feeling, sometimes using stable coins not only avoids expensive transaction fees but wins more often even though it has nothing to do with it, but I'm sure someone has thought the same as me.

Many of the gambler will not use the bitcoin and make use of the other stable cryptocurrency for the gambling. The reason behind this was the bitcoin can be used by the gambler for the trading and the return from the bitcoin at the good market was the enough one.As like you I had used the Usdt and LTC for the betting in the gambling sites.Because the trader who hold the bitcoin for the longer period will get the sudden huge profit from the bitcoin. My friend become the millionaire during the biggest pump of the bitcoin price to 68k dollars. So better to use the other cryptocurrency for the gambling sites to make the profit in all mode of investing.

That's an interesting poll and to be honest I'm not surprised by the results so far. Bitcoin blockchain fees are a real concern when you gamble, because even if some casinos are offering BTC withdrawals like the one in my signature(Livecasino) you will still need to spend a mining fee when you want to make a deposit in order to be able to send and to get your transaction mined. But if the fee you've sent is too small, your transaction can get stuck during days, weeks or even months. That's a real concern that you haven't with other cryptos. So currently I'm mainly gambling with DOGE, FUN and stablecoins onto Tron and Gnosis blockchains or Layer2 networks like Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism.

Using bitcoin to support businesses that accept it is never a bad idea if you're a bitcoiner.

I use all of the methods listed in the pool for gambling. It doesn't matter to me, bitcoin, fiat, other altcoins. It totally depends on what is happening at the present time. Currently, gambling with bitcoin with the rate of fees is left to for who do not mind and can afford it. I imagine going through the pains of funding your casino wallet despite the high fees and losing all of the money. There is no consolation that at least you got something back from winning. It is winning on both ends because miners are winning with the high fees and casino operators are winning when you lose. For me, in times like this I stay away from using bitcoin. USDT or Ethis the best choice for me.

Majority of sites or platforms would really be asking out for withdrawal fees, i didnt see nowadays offering that free fee on taking out your money on their site or simply with widthrawal.
When it comes to the amount then it would really be always dynamic on which it would really be that depending or basing up on the network condition whether the fees were high or not,
now we are experiencing those roof top numbers with Bitcoin and ETH which making transactions would really be no sense specially if you are really just that a small time gambler but if not then
it wont really be that an issue but for me then i wont really be making use of those coins for now since the fees are high.

Speaking about using up Bitcoin with gambling then there are times but not really on the sense or matter that i've been doing some all in. We know
on how precious BTC is and i cant really that afford that much on losing on a fast pace manner. I do also make some options on making plays using other
altcoins with have some cheap fees and cheap value.

Has a point especially with supporting crypto businesses. But to those who are not, they are more likely minding the price volatility of Bitcoin as we all know. Losing in gambling plus a sudden decline with its market price means loss in two ways. If they won’t be needing to pull out their holdings then that would be fine but what if they are needing to do so? Hence, it is still reasonable for those who are not using main token holdings in gambling activities.

Stable coins indeed would be a better choice especially for your peace of mind. There will be moments of regrets in every pump or dump with the market prices of the tokens we usually hold. At least with stable coins, you’d be at ease that the amount you’ve lost would stay as is, without any regrets.

Especially in my case most of the time stablecoins are used for gambling. The first and main reason for this is that the investment amount of betting can be easily calculated through stable coins like USDT while gambling. In this case, when Bitcoin is to be used, there are many steps that cannot be taken quickly.
Moreover, I do not consider it necessary to use bitcoins for gambling, nor do I see any distinct profitable side of it. It has been seen many times that when I have to gamble by withdrawing funds from a centralized exchanger, my withdrawal cost is higher if I use Bitcoin. Sometimes I use stable coins as well as TRX coins for gambling to reduce this withdrawal fee. ;D

I use part of my Bitcoin earnings to gamble so I use Bitcoin to deposit a fund to my bankroll.  I also use other form of cryptocurrency, whatever is available to fund my gambling activities.  But for faster confirmation and access to play my favorite gambling games, I prefer altcoin that can confirm faster like TRC20 USDT, Litecoin, Dogecoin and other available cryptocurrency.

In some casinos, withdrawal process is free.  So I don't mind using Bitcoin when I am playing on those platform.  Sometimes when the Bitcoin network is not congested, it is much cheaper to pay the transaction fee of Bitcoin than the gas fee of USDT.

Yes I often use Bitcoin everytime I gamble since it is the widely accepted crypto of the casinos. But due to the increasing transaction fees and the situation that bear market seems over (given that the price is rising because of the recent positive news affecting Bitcoin) I switched using usdt.

For now, I prefer to accumulate rather than use my Bitcoin to play. And I don't think this is an issue because we can use any coins that we prefer if we think that's convenient to use for us.

I only gambled with Bitcoin a few times on one casino I started using after I joined the forum. I really prefer to gamble with fiat currency, my local currency, because at the local casino in my country, which is really a cool casino, everyone is most depositing and withdrawing with fiat currency, which seems to be pretty fast and cool, and that's the reason why most people obviously use it quite often.

Now that the bull market is about to kick in, I would not even really prefer to gamble with Bitcoin; I still intend to add more BTC to my holdings for the sake of more profit during the bull run.

I've been using BNB deposits mostly in my crypto-gambling activity for about a month now. User-friendly minimum deposit too for casual average gamblers using Binance exchange as the minimum withdrawal for BNB is just around 0.02BNB.

Bitcoin fees are spiking up and as we speak it rose to around $6. Exactly last week from now, if I remember correctly, the fees are playing around $3, and the prior week on that, around $1.5. What an increase. Aside from that, even using the average fees for a supposed quick confirmation time, it still takes time. To rush the process, I need to rebroadcast my transaction which will take more fees.

Every cents matter in my Gambling session so I choose to play with BNB for now. As usual, my way of betting is always shown in Fiat currency value.

I used to gamble using my BTC funds that I received from my campaign signature earnings but when I realized that the latter is too valuable for me to waste it, I quickly switched to FIAT and altcoins.

Whenever I have BTCs, I see them as an opportunity to invest due to its high store-of-value in the market. I personally find it a waste to gamble it away given that it has the potential of skyrocketing its price in the future. This is the reason on why I focus mainly in gambling away my extra cash whenever I have one.

Yes because for me,  I get my weekly payment in Bitcoin and for that,  I have no other choice but to gamble using Bitcoin,  I don't have any problem with that and in fact, this has helped me a lot and at some point,  even if I want to deposit into my casino account,  I don't use another currency unless bitcoin and for sure this have helped me a lot,  because with Bitcoin,  my total winning will automatically become an asset,  and because if Bitcoin value,  is easy for me to earn more in rewards since it bet will come in says and with a dollar value.

So my staked will also float with the market and that gives me two added advantages and sometimes even much more than the winning itself most especially when I take a long break after a good game and a winning at the same time.

So to me and many others,  bitcoin remains the most suitable currency for gambling and its advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

I know there are also other cryptos that are being talked about here and we know that BTC doesn't have a cheap fee and its fees are not stable as its price. Right now, people are once again overwhelmed about its high fees. This could be the reason on why the poll results in on your thread favors other cryptos.

As for me, I am taking a break from the crypto gambling for a while and started getting hooked on the fiat online casinos. What I like about them the most is I don't have to pay on the transaction fee anymore when depositing and withdrawing. Their minimum deposits and withdrawals are also smaller.

I used to use my crypto assets for gambling in the past, but not anymore. After I realised that it was not good to use your assets for gambling or betting, why? Well, because we know for sure that a crypto currency is a volatile currency, it's obvious that you will be disadvantageous if you use your asset for gambling, so I'm more on fiat or stable currency when I do gambling, mostly using USDT or any currency available; it should be stable.

I know a lot of you used your crypto asset for gambling, as some crypto gambling let you do that, but I think it's not practical to do that. Imagine using your asset and suddenly it increases or decreases, then there's a bad effect of it. But of course it depends on the gamblers; it's your money and asset, so it's your own risk. Just saying that is not practical.

Since casinos are legal in your country and you get the opportunity to gamble using your country's fiat currency, it seems much easier for you.  But not everyone gets such an opportunity or many people want to hide their gambling from their relative and the authority of their whole country that's why crypto casino is becoming so popular day by day.  And Bitcoin is totally decentralized so it is possible to gamble totally anonymously using Bitcoin.  So many feel comfortable using bitcoins for gambling.  I myself use bitcoins for gambling but very rarely.  Because other altcoins like TRX, LTC, BNB are mostly used to save transaction fees.

No more messing with bitcoins for me; I'm into altcoins now, especially TRX and XRP, and sometimes USDT. They're quicker and cheaper, perfect for my gambling adventures. While I do earn some bitcoins, I usually swap them for altcoins when the gambling itch kicks in. With bitcoin's crazy transaction fees, it's a hassle to move it to an exchange for gambling. So yeah, feeling a bit restricted in my gambling game these days.

Personally, in my opinion Bitcoin has costs that tend to increase and become more expensive, but all of this is still commensurate with the level of network speed when carrying out several transactions, even though there are also other Altcoins with almost similar speeds, but I still make Bitcoin the best and main priority.
Apart from that, using Bitcoin can also be very beneficial because indirectly we maintain market stability regarding Bitcoin adoption, some people certainly don't care about things like this but I personally, who is also an investor and trader think this is concern for Bitcoin itself.

Indeed, fiat online casinos provide services in very cheap transactions some even waive fees, but it seems like I feel less satisfied when playing in fiat online casinos.
Maybe due to the absence or lack of live game options, of which there are of course lot in crypto casinos.

In fiat casinos you also get real-time transactions where deposits and withdrawals go directly into your debit card or bank account, and this is the only advantage from fiat casinos.

I am honestly impressed to see that cryptocurrency (not just Altcoins) is winning the poll. In fact adding Bitcoin and Altcoin together at the time of writing this reply is winning with over 43 votes (83% of the votes). It really shows how much we have adopted to using cryptocurrencies. I’ve never used Bitcoin to gamble before, but there was a time I used an Altcoin (wasn’t a stable coin though).

i prefer to use other crypto compared to using bitcoin. the reason is quite simple, i am not willing to use bitcoin just for gambling, because looking at its potential in the next few years and it is much better to hold bitcoin in my wallet than to use it for regular gambling.

and another consideration is that transaction fees for bitcoin in one deposit are around 2 dollars or more and the waiting time is longer. whereas using usdt on the tron network is much cheaper and faster, so in a few deposits i can save time and a few dollars.

That's a good choice, adding more bitcoins to you instead of having to use your bitcoins to gamble just want to double your bitcoins, but the risk can be fatal losing a lot of bitcoins, I think using stable coin money is easier or using fiat money via credit card, honestly Of course what you say is true that the crypto market is heading bullish so it cannot be denied that currently people are saving more of their bitcoins rather than using them for gambling.

I think maybe not everyone keeps their bitcoins, there are still some gamblers who might still use their bitcoins to gamble and multiply their bitcoins in gambling, usually rich people often do that even though the bull market is running, they only focus on gambling and can have lots of bitcoins from the gambling they play.

This is bullshit, from the last year until now, USDT in TRC20 charge for $2. If you're using Tron, the transaction fee could be free as long as you have enough bandwidth.

Don't forget many rich gamblers also lose, maybe more of them are in lose. But since they have a business or high paying job, they can easily recover their losses in gambling.

Previously when we used to withdraw USDT to the gambling site via the Trc20 network, it cost less than 0.25$ fee but now for some time, it detects around 2 dollar fee in the form of trx. So using USDT to deposit often in gambling sites is not feasible at all.

Well, it's a personal choice if anyone has a lot of bitcoins and wants to bet with them to increase the quantity of bitcoins, While this may be fruitful but the risk of losing those bitcoins is also there.
I would not gamble my bitcoins to get more bitcoins. This is not a wise approach. Perhaps I can gamble with limited money only for entertainment purposes but I won't put my bitcoin savings in gambling.

Many people who are holding on to their Bitcoins are actually second-thinking giving them up because the cryptocurrency market is going up. Actually, you're right - some people, mostly rich people, still bet with them. Despite changes in the market, they only seem to care about the thrill of the risk.

There are, however, some problems with using Bitcoin for gambling because of its high fees. Why? With each exchange, your possible winnings are reduced, which makes it less appealing for quick, small bets. Imagine actually winning, but those annoying fees take away some of your prize. Therefore, what is the other option? For example, stablecoins or using regular money like credit cards, as you said. Less complicated, lower fees.

How about looking at crypto gambling not only as a financial choice, but also as a mental one? Its about the thrill, the danger, and the possible payoff. Unfortunately, Bitcoin's fees make the risk greater than the gain. There may be better, less expensive solutions out there now. You can bet, but lets not risk our money, okay?

I don't use bitcoins for gambling because if I lose gambling and if I lose bitcoins because of losing I think more money will be deducted from my account than the amount I will lose gambling. I like to invest in Bitcoin but I don't like to sell or use my investment for any other purpose. Let's say I gambled and lost $100. At the time I gambled and lost $100, Bitcoin was worth $30,000. But after a few days, when the price of Bitcoin will go to 35 thousand dollars, if I calculate 100 dollars, then it will be seen that my loss is more than 100 rupees. This is how I think about Bitcoin, which is why I never gamble with Bitcoin, rather I prefer to gamble with virtual dollars. Since we have alternatives, we should always use alternatives.

Using bitcoin when transaction costs are increasing, like now, makes many people avoid it and prefer to use altcoins or even stablecoins for gambling. This saves more on transaction costs so that they can use more or the same money as before to gamble. And you're telling the truth about preferring to use altcoins or stablecoins over bitcoin. It's better to keep the bitcoins rather than use them for gambling. But I still often use bitcoin for gambling and in times like now, I prefer not to gamble until everything returns to normal. If I wanted to gamble, I would also choose TRX or XRP or USDT because the transaction costs are still low.

In most of my gaming sessions I always like to use bitcoin, because it is the type that I want to add satoshis the most, so when I play I do it in bitcoin but that is what I use the most, the truth is that altcoins are some very good to use here in the caisnos , but in what I Always think is bicoin, there may be some that prefer more to altcins, but it is a matter of taste, each person decides what to do, how to move their money and what they can achieve Instead, and I could say The things when it comes to casinos and money, I prefer that because playing with USD is not to my liking, as I said before, I prefer to use my ATHs to have a broader path of the game, some people do not risk the transaction at this time. The fact is that it is going up more than normal, it could be that it is selling at that time, I hope so because it is very necessary for me to be able to get a good ATH at this time, it wouldn't be bad at all.

Now when we are in a casino and Anyone can choose the currency they want, of course if it is available, in my case as I said before, even if bitcoin is rising in price I still play, because I see btc as btc, not like value of fiat money, it is something that will always be something great, the good thing about this is that the way to have BTC money will always be valued, because I like it more with bitcoin than with an alt, which in a moment well The alt would die if like it has done to many other alts, for that reason it costs me more btc, although there are still people who bet the other alts and can win a lot , Because they feel comfortable betting the alts than their own money fia, and they have the same direction or way of thinking as mine , because it is Easier to Do it that way , I think this is something that can be noticed from a distance, we are ordinary people and here in the caisnos you usually see a lot, I would think It's like a tradition , since my first casino was all with BTC, which I played.

Yes, as we can see from the poll statistics in this thread, everyone chooses fiat money or other cryptocurrencies, after all, bitcoin is a future that has quite a high value and is also expensive, gambling using bitcoin in my opinion is very risky of losing its value too, just look at the gamblers who already using bitcoin a few years ago surely they saw the statistics of the amount of bitcoin they spent on it if valued at today's prices, it's really sad

Bitcoin is a hedge where they should be used only for investment purposes, it is not suitable to be used for gambling let alone to pay for something, but it all comes back to each individual's view, personally I also don't use bitcoin, I prefer other cryptocurrencies or fiat money, such as you say that using bitcoin for betting is not a wise approach.  :D

I have never thought of it this way but if Bitcoin is viewed as a currency then when you gamble with Bitcoin or gamble with any of your other funds but both are your funds.  It may also happen that if you invest the fund in bitcoins without gambling bitcoin, the bitcoins will not be lost. If I actually consider from your point of view, if you lose by gambling, then your funds that could have been invested in bitcoins, so Bitcoin will also loss if I consider this point. But in gambling it may happen that you gamble with bitcoins and win and your bitcoin amount increases several times. I mean basically anyone can play whatever they like but gambling with stable coins makes things a little easier for me.

Regardless the high TX fees, I still feel Gambling with Bitcoin is more preferable to other cryptos or even fiat. I have s many reasons but I'll only pickpoint two of the most important reasons which are Security and Privacy.
When gambling I'm very. Skeptical about these two factors, and I believe Bitcoin offers the wildest range of these. Bitcoin has the highest level anonymity and safety and despite and these factors can't be compromised. I'm not saying other cryptos do not have these qualities but what I'm saying is that I feel safer with Bitcoin.

Again, we all know that Bitcoin transactions are the fastest, so irrespective of the high tx fees, Bitcoin still beats every other payment methods when it comes to safety, speed and security. No one would want a situation where your transactions are being delayed, whether with deposits or withdrawals.

Well, I believe how much the player stakes also plays a vital role here. A high staker would likely always prefer to use Bitcoin to bet regardless the tx fees, while it is likely to be quite the opposite for a low staker.

You are right. Gamblers have different reasons and some of them are superstitious beliefs.
Like me, I always think that I am luckier when I am using Litecoin and until now I feel the same way. I deposited BNB 2 weeks ago and it's rekt. I deposited Ethereum a week ago and it's also rekt.
But one time I received a tip from another gambler through Litecoin and I made it to a decent amount that was ready for withdrawal. The tricky part is, I didn't do it just once but twice already in my gambling history.
This is what made me think that I had more luck using that certain coin and now I am a superstitious believer too. ;D
It is true that one of the big reasons why I don't want to use Bitcoin is the transaction fees and it's a waste of Bitcoin that I want to keep as an asset only.

I have never used Bitcoin to gamble, even though I will think of such is not now that the transaction fee is high, I prefer crediting my preferred sports sites wallet with the help of my bank mobile app, if consider using Bitcoin now when I lose, the lose will affect me in different ways, it will start from the transaction fee, let's say is a 50$ that I used to place the bet, if I convert both the transaction fee and the fund itself in my country currency, it will be very huge amount of money that would have solved so matter for me if I utilize it well, I can not take the risk of using my bitcoin for gambling because I didn't get it in a platter of gold, so won't joke with it.

Yeah that's why I'm thinking to avoid using it for a short while since I can't afford to pay such huge fee for just depositing some amount in my casino wallet. For a short while a just explore another alts since I like to avoid paying extra fees just to gamble. Maybe for now USDT is my best option since volatility can't hurt us and it gives us convenient while market is so congested and painful. I'd better prefer to hold bitcoin for now than pushing something that I can't afford to get. And I believe many gamblers especially those small time players will shift to other coins to since same as I they can't afford to pay huge fee each time they want to deposit. TRX and XRP is also good solution but let see what will happen to bitcoin these days.

It's okay if you feel lucky using certain coins and if I could also be like you, it would certainly be very fun ;D
So we both can feel the same thing ;D
But maybe later I will try to follow what you do. Who knows, maybe I will also get lucky like you and can win big so I can get lots of Litecoin.
That's the point if the casino has other coins besides bitcoin so that it can make it easier for gamblers to gamble. But unfortunately, few casinos have exchanges within their casinos. Hopefully, the current casino sites can add exchanges to their casinos so that we can exchange them for other coins.

They have other options at times like now, where they don't need to gamble and choose to hold their coins. But if they still want to gamble, altcoins and stablecoins are a choice. But for now, I prefer to refrain from gambling because looking at market conditions, it seems like restraint is the best for me. Besides, this is good for me so I can train my self-control not to gamble for a while. After conditions of the market gradually recover and bitcoin transaction costs can decrease drastically and return to normal, maybe I will return to gambling.

in these days when the price of cryptocurrencies, particularly the price of bitcoin was the currency that rose the most in price, I could see how important it is to analyze the altcoin market well if you think about playing using altcoins, because now for example in that the price of bitcoin has risen a lot, we can see that the price of altcoins has fallen a lot in relation to the btc pair - alts, only manage to have a small price increase in relation to the US dollar, so if a person decides to play using altcoin without first do a lot of research to find out about the history of this same altcoin and how the cryptocurrency market is currently doing

so this person will go through situations in which he will be very angry and frustrated because he will deposit 100$ in altcoin for example, with good bankroll management, he expects to make 10 bets, with 10$ in each bet, so in the first one day he bets on 4 games and loses, leaving him with a bankroll of $60, he leaves the casino to relax and the next day when he enters the casino he sees that he only has a bankroll of $40 and when he goes to do research on the price of the altcoin in which he he is using it to make a bet, he finds out that the altcoin he uses to make a bet has fallen a lot because of some bad news about the project

At that moment the person has already lost $20 and may continue to lose due to the fall of the altcoin and we all know that when a crypto project has very serious bad news, the price of the altcoin falls very quickly, which is why in my opinion the ideal is to use USDT to place bets, the minimum usdt withdrawal amount on stake.com is very low, as expected from the best casino on this market. The person can deposit in usdt and place bets and will not have to worry about high withdrawal values that have been seen in other casinos. To get an idea of how the benefits are very good at stake.com, the minimum usdt withdrawal amount is 2.50 USDT and the fee is just 1 USDT. I see this being very advantageous. the person avoids fluctuations

whereas using usdt on the tron network is much cheaper and faster, so in a few deposits i can save time and a few dollars.
This is bullshit, from the last year until now, USDT in TRC20 charge for $2. If you're using Tron, the transaction fee could be free as long as you have enough bandwidth.

Exchanges charges $1 to $1.3 when withdrawing USDT TRC20, while sending them from non-custodial wallet maybe much more expensive

Previously when we used to withdraw USDT to the gambling site via the Trc20 network, it cost less than 0.25$ fee but now for some time, it detects around 2 dollar fee in the form of trx. So using USDT to deposit often in gambling sites is not feasible at all.

It is still feasible considering the current transaction fee of Bitcoin. Aside from that, USDT TRC20 is way faster to get confirmed and credited than BTC except for those casinos that does not need any confirmation to credit our BTC deposits.  But if we really wanted to have cheaper tx fee, and faster confirmation, I would suggest Dogecoin, LTC and TRX to be used.  They are way cheaper and faster than USDT and Bitcoin.

Don't forget many rich gamblers also lose, maybe more of them are in lose. But since they have a business or high paying job, they can easily recover their losses in gambling.

I believe the high risk of gambling will never be fruitful unless a person hits a lottery jackpot.  Since the result of gambling is random and mostly affected by luck, with the advantage of the house because of house edge and how the game result is designed like in slots,  gambler will more likely lose their fund than winning.  This kind of result can never be called fruitful regardless of what cryptocurrency a person is using, IMO.

I have selected other crypto, as I usually deposit only those cryptocurrencies that have quick transactions. For me Bitcoin is either to slow, or to expensive. Instant transactions cost a lot, but when I gamble, I dont like to wait until transaction gets confirmed. Mostly my gambling sessions are short; 30-60minutes max. And waiting 30-60minutes for confirmation is not acceptable for me.

I think that bitcoin should not be gambled as gambling involves risk and holding bitcoin for long term investment can yield huge profits. Gambling involves capital risk and the expectation of future profits aim gambling is usually a short lived activity while bitcoin investment can be good here there is no fear of losing funds. There is no need to despair even if the price drops if you wait patiently the price of bitcoin will increase several times. Also gamblers have negative expected returns on average and in the long run.

Back in the day I use to use bitcoin as I thought it was the fastest way to grow my stash, but because of a couple of losses and putting into consideration its value I prefer to use a denomination that am more familiar with which is either the Fiat -dollar or use tether as a way to manage my risk and know the true value of how much am winning or losing. Not forgetting with high transaction fees using Bitcoin isn't attractive as most bookies/Casinos pass this cost on to the user and not the house.

Mostly my gambling sessions are short; 30-60minutes max. And waiting 30-60minutes for confirmation is not acceptable for me.
Relatable!

And with these ordinals at play, getting next block transactions require paying a premium when it gets to using want fastest confirmation times

You choose your own asset to deposit to the gambling site, so why should the gambling site pay the commission for your deposits/withdrawals?

Currently, the commissions in the Bitcoin network are so high that using this cryptocurrency for gambling becomes impractical. I am sure that if the Bitcoin network becomes more and more congested, gambling providers will stop using it altogether.

The affordable amount to deposit plays a huge role also. Making a deposit of $100 and spending $10-15 just to have it appeared quicker on casino balance is much different from depositing $100k and paying a hundred just to start gambling as fast as possible. For me, it does not matter what will be the withdrawal commission, but the time required to get my deposit on the balance is most important to me. Because while I wait, I can change my mind and postpone playing.

Current Bitcoin transaction situation remind me the same situation with expensive transactions in ETH during DeFi/Dex trend. Few were able to afford using platforms. Now, few use Bitcoin for gambling. I think Bitcoin in general is not suitable for gambling. Gambling industry needs cheap and quick blockchains.

For the record, I haven't seen, heard or read about any gambling site that will charge you to deposit funds onto their platform unless they have their own exchange rates which could lead to a slight difference with what was deposited.

Secondly, when a gambling site chooses to pay for transaction fees when players are making withdrawals then it becomes a feature that could help invite new players and keep the old players without having to be afraid of high transaction fees when wanting to take out funds.

Currently, the commissions tx fees in the Bitcoin network are so high that using this cryptocurrency for gambling becomes impractical. I am sure that if the Bitcoin network becomes more and more congested, gambling providers will stop using it altogether.
Agreed, Gambling with bitcoin is impractical at the moment because of the high fees, and also makes perfect sense to use altcoins with practical & affordable tx fees that have short waiting times too.

Stablecoin my choice in crypto gambling and still using the Fiat currency, not Bitcoin.
The percentage uses more stablecoin in gambling.
Not using Bitcoin not because of increasing transaction costs, but because of the Bitcoin Assets that I continue to maintain and not to be spent.

Using a credit card to make a deposit I limit. More actively using financial applications in making deposits to get stablecoin.
I limit using a credit card in gambling games to avoid addiction that has the potential for balance will be empty.

I don't use bitcoins for gambling because if I lose gambling and if I lose bitcoins because of losing I think more money will be deducted from my account than the amount I will lose gambling.

And it won't be this way when you gamble using other forms of money? I don't understand your way of thinking. Are you trying to say that casinos steal from people who use bitcoin, but not others? THat casino fees are higher for bitcoin users?

I like to invest in Bitcoin but I don't like to sell or use my investment for any other purpose. Let's say I gambled and lost $100. At the time I gambled and lost $100, Bitcoin was worth $30,000. But it can also be the other way round.
If you gambled in 2022 for the whole year bitcoin was going down so you started gambling at 40k and a month later it was worth 30k.
It makes no sense to always look at the trading price of your asset unless it's avaliable on exchange and you can trade it at that moment. If you're going to miss the trade anyway, don't look at the price and waste your time thinking what if because it's a waste of time.

Yeah, men but have you ever have the thought of hitting the high roller using Bitcoin in a bear market?

This is the most fun part of bear market bets using Bitcoin because the reward payment will be a large amount in Bitcoin and that way, you end up accumulating more Bitcoins as your rewards, the same with minimizing your total loss amount when the loss comes, so in a bear market I prefer to use bitcoin rather than using fiat or stable coins to gamble during that time.
