Bitcoin touched new ATH in 2024 of around $69000. There is fear in some investors that there can be a big correction from here. But, there are many investors who are still investing in bitcoin even if the prices are near ATH. What is your one primary reason to keep investing in BTC even at these levels.

I am doing this because I am positive with the ETF news. It is resulting in major adoption to users who were earlier reluctant to invest in bitcoins.

I think the reason why people investing in Bitcoin is to earn profit where some are afraid that they will miss the chance to earn profit. You can say that it is very much like FUD or FOMO that they also want to invest. If they really want to invest then they should have bought Bitcoin when it didn't reach the price of bitcoin today.

Yes, the main reason why people continue to invest even in ATH is due to FOMO, and they also believe that the price would continue to increase.
But nobody knows how high it could reach and how the price would move, it could continue to go up or it could go down and have a price correction.

the main purpose of owning BTC is to make a profit, and have a new ATH target, but sometimes there are many people who hold on until the new ATH and if it has exceeded the old ATH by 20% there will definitely be those who release their BTC and buy back during the correction, who knows at what target will be the lowest when corrected later

Some people didn't want to miss the train while some people know what they're doing, as simple as that.

For me, there are no coins that better than Bitcoin, that's why I keep invest in Bitcoin and hold it.

Investing is for long term purpose, if you're looking to make profit when Bitcoin reach to this level, that's not an investment because you're looking for short term profit.

DCA.

Although it is tempting to start selling part of it. But the fact is that in this cycle the price is going to be much higher than it is now, and that is why it is worth continuing to buy, just as if your plan goes beyond one cycle.

Although if the price of bitcoin is as good as predicted for this year, I might start to make partial sales as soon as the price goes above $100,000.

I will say many people definitely look at the return on investment of bitcoin am that’s why it is having such number of adopters or investors, but it’s not the main purpose as there are others that have invested into bitcoin for the future just because they don’t want to save in a currency that devalues later in future. This is the reason why many people have looked towards the bitcoin for retirement savings other than fiat which is considered less volatile.


This is because many people think with bitcoin mining not ending soon its potential to increase is still very high. Yes you can relate the current pump to ETF but the pre halving period also plays its own role as many wants to have it lots before halving comes

The all-time-high is $69000 in November 2021. Bitcoin increased to $68800 and which means the price did not get to all-time-high yesterday.

The reason I am investing in bitcoin and not yet selling is because bitcoin is going to $100000 and I am not in need of the money right now. My prediction is that bitcoin will get to $170000 in 2024/2025.

I’m not adding more Bitcoin on my holdings but what motivates me to still hold my Bitcoin investments is due to the upcoming Bitcoin halving that always incorporates with massive price growth based on the history of all Halving happened in the past.

Bitcoin price cycle never been broken ever since and with the approval of ETF, there’s no stopping anymore for Bitcoin growth unless something major bad news occur which unlikely to happened now. To make it simple, I’m still holding because I’m positive that Bitcoin price will at least x2 the previous ATH because that’s what always happen.

The same motive that drives everyone to invest, which is profit. The price is about 70,000, but there is a good possibility that it will be more than 100,000 within 12 months, and this possibility is definitely increasing day after day. Therefore, as long as the price is less than 100,000, it is still considered a good investment.

I am optimistic that bitcoin price will continue to surge high and will break its last ATH in the next couple of days, that’s why I never stopped from doing DCA as much as possible. I don’t care anymore even if the current price is too high to buy, because I’m not here just to buy and sell immediately but will definitely buy and hold bitcoin for long term, as it also serves as my retirement funds in the future.

However, majority still falls on FOMO these days. Probably they have missed the previous ATH for bitcoin and don’t want to repeat the same mistake again, so they end up riding with the FUD and FOMO.

Breaking the ATH, which Bitcoin just did a few minutes ago (!!) is always the START of the bull run. So people are obviously buying Bitcoin around the old ATH because they know prices are going much higher in the coming months. Sure there is likely to be a correction soon, but any correction is going to be short lived.

For me, it's just reaching new ATH, and having that in mind, it can reach even higher. A lot of people are now getting back and hearing about Bitcoin and maybe some untapped money can go into it and then it could be traded a lot more now and more and more institutions might buy it as well and add it to their portfolio, you'll never know.

Personally, I just know that it costs more than the current ATH, that's why I would still buy it.

ATH is just one of the phenomena that many Bitcoin users have been waiting for. We know there are many reasons why users choose to invest in Bitcoin, maybe one of the reasons as you said ATH and Halving, for that there is no doubt that from the beginning until now the goal has been to make good profits in the crypto world.

But for me personally, ETF news is not the main basis for me choosing to invest in Bitcoin, I think ETFs are viral lately, the ATH that is happening in 2021 has no impact on ETFs, it actually has an impact on big investors around the world, Thus we are aware, for me Bitcoin investment is viewed positively on the basis of the impact of the new ATH increasing to produce good investment value.

Historical trend?
We have seen everytime Bitcoin breaks the last all time high, it don't only break the last record but rises much further to create another record. Bitcoin last time breaking the ATH around 30K rose to a high nearing 69K, thats more than double of the last ATH.
Similarly as now Bitcoin has beaten the last ATH of 69k, we could expect it to reach 135K. It's not a full proof analysis but we can easily predict Bitcoin to be at least 95k or something as 100k could be a large psychological barrier. Stii, it's wiser to keep on taking your profit.

I maybe have a different perspective, I'm not overly invested in what the price is. I have a target BTC amount I want to accumulate by a certain date. I  This is helpful when you get to that point where you think "is it too expensive to buy now", I just see have I met my accumulation target and if not buy what I can. If do get hung up on the price(is it expensive or is it cheap) then would recommend you follow a strict DCA, where buy at regular intervals this helps ensure never buy to much at "expensive price".

My only word of caution with DCA, and this is something I learned the hard way, is that its very easy to get caught up in your avg BTC price. Dont start using this as indicator whether to modify your DCA too much. Its nice to look at it for sure but its actually not that important in the long run. Its preferable to have more BTC at a higher avg price vs less BTC at a lower BTC price.

e.g lets just say the next ATH(not the one today) will be 140k$ and there are two holder examples

Holder#1 - Has 0.21 BTC with avg price of 22k (4.6k fiat invested). (Wont accumulate more because BTC is too expensive now and will impact their avg BTC price)
Holder#2 - Has 0.31 BTC with avg price of 32k (9.9k fiat invested)(Ignores avg BTC price and continues to accumulate)

Holder#1 - 0.21 BTC & BTC price @140k = 29.4k fiat value, Value Return is 29.4k - 4.6k = 24.8k
Holder#2 - 0.31 BTC & BTC price @140k = 43.4k fiat value, Value Return is 43.4k - 9.9k = 33.5k

You guys should just stop the hype of the ETF of a thing, it has helped during the rumour time of last year till now, but where is it helping again in terms of implementation? Bitcoin has always been accessible by everyone, so the demand and supply of the cryptocurrency happening without the much involvement of the ETF. It is all about everybody and every means of injecting and removing money now (demand/supply and market sentiment which is strongly bullish). The ETF is never the one causing all this but the mood of Bitcoin's halving tradition that brought about the FOMO in its pre-halving season.

To me, it is happening this way and early enough because people have read enough about Bitcoin and do not want to miss out, so what they could have waited for during the post-halving period is being done before the halving. The psychology of people towards the market can be so funny, and the psychology of the market toward the behaviour of people can be funnier which is what is causing what we see now. More would happen, but at this level, I can't invest directly in Bitcoin but continue to trade in on the futures market as usual. I can't possibly make much when committing my money to it in my wallet account.

The ATH has been hit already and I appreciate those who had the good foresight that it would sell on hitting that level. That was what the coin did and had moved over $4,000 after reaching the level, and it dumped so fast as well. All I can say is that a lot of pending orders were at that level because we all know that it would sell a bit to retrace, before going higher again to even hit it again and break it.

Because there will be almost certainly many more new all time highs, as simple as that.

In times like this when Bitcoin is pumping and everyone is expecting correction, DCA makes a lot of sense, especially for new investors who are reluctant to go "all in" and are foolishly thinking that they can time the market and buy at the bottom of the dip.

I don't think anyone would have a different reason other than the fact that investments can still produce profits because the price is around the previous all-time high but we expect it to create a new and higher all-time price, preferably near $100k or maybe above it. Now that the market has already touched the previous all-time high, we surely expect the price to cross $100k during the bull run because we have yet to have the halving event and the bull run generally starts after it.
So if you ask for a reason why I or anyone is investing in Bitcoin even at such price points, the answer is simple, it's still profitable.

I don't know exactly what made bitcoin ATH but when the ETF was approved, the price of bitcoin actually dropped sharply. I think what affects the price of bitcoin more is because of the halving moment that will soon occur

When bitcoin has a high price, we become confused about whether to buy or not, because it is more risky when the price is so high. However, it is very likely that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise. If you are in doubt, maybe you can wait until the price corrects a little and use the DCA method.

People keep investing in BTC despite the recent pump due to believing Bitcoin will still hit higher price levels soon. Investors are bullish on Bitcoin. They consider the bull run has just begun, therefore it's still profitable to buy more coins. Maybe they also do DCA, so they would buy anyway, being BTC cheap or expensive. Others might be late investors who are facing FOMO (fear of missing out), so they finally decided to acquire some coins.

There are many reasons which can motivate someone to invest in Bitcoin right now. Inevitably, there will be always people buying Bitcoin, including those moments when the market is turning from bullish into bearish, as we have already seen in every cycles so far in Bitcoin market. The advisable moment to buy was when the price was pretty stable around 40,000$ price range, though, as members of this forum have been saying constantly.

I'll have to agree with some commentors on this thread that says that the reason why more people are still investing in Bitcoin despite it's massive price pump is because of FOMO, especially for newbie investors, and who can blame them or anyone else that's still accumulating, experienced speculators have predicted that price will reach $150k in the peak of bull run. So if all the speculations and predictions are anything to go by, then I think that it's still safe to keep buying and hodling, because with this relatively high price now, it still assures of %100 profit in approximately one year's time.

Op You lie but I will not blame you because you didn't gotten experience on the previous All Time High (ATH). The previous All Time High was  $69,000 and bitcoin only hit $69,000 so it has hit the new all time. Therefore for bitcoin bronchitis the new All Time High, it most hit from $70,000 and above then we will experience the new all time high. Though most of us didn't see the previous All Time High but we have read it from different sources so there is nothing hidden there again.

There is fear because of the uncertainty of the price today because as bitcoin hit $69k, immediately it rush back to $65k so there is fear in the market right now.

I'm not investing now, but investing when the bull run only just begun is not a horrible idea, but you need to take profits at a later stage, otherwise you could even miss out on profits entirely and have to sit with a loss for the next bear market, which is pretty bad.

The price right now is not only at ATH, but also at the peak of the previous cycle, and we can expect that the next peak will be way higher, like it always was before.

Those investors who are investing in Bitcoin when the price is near ATH, are simply average Joes with no understanding of the market. They look at the price of Bitcoin when it's low, then they think that it's a scam, and then they think that it's going to fall, then it doesn't fall, it rises again, and they still hesitate to buy it, then it rises again, FOMO kicks in, it reaches phenomenal price and then they buy it but now it's too late, the bubble busted and thanks to the late investors, other people are making a profit.

I don't buy during ATHs, I only make short sell but it's very risky too. Btw sometimes I buy during ATH when I want to make a Bitcoin transaction.

This is just because of a very simple reason, If you would go back into Bitcoin's history and performance, you would see that each time that Bitcoin breaks its previous ATH, there's usually a huge momentum increase in the price to the up side, and secondly when the inflation rate is also on the increase, people usually run for safety, into safe heaven assets like Bitcoin, Gold, and real estate and just as we currently have inflation rate going high and many other reasons, including new investors coming into the space to buy Bitcoin.

I think those who invested at the time of ATH are idiots because there is one simple rule in Crypto trading and that is almost applicable in all situations where a coin makes new ATH and people are so bullish and greedy that they want to book their profits at that time and a huge selling takes place and in result, the price of that coin started to go down. So, those investors should not invest at ATH instead they should at least invest after some time when the market will take some correction.

For example, BTC did not remain there for much time and instantly went below $68k and now sits below $62k even. This is the right time to invest in BTC. If let's assume I am investing at the time of ATH while the halving is yet to occur, there will be only one reason behind it, and that halving itself, because I would prefer long term investment, and I know after halving BTC will definitely make its ATH and then I can book profit, but buying high and selling high is less profitable from buying low and selling high.

I think that we will always undoubtedly have investors no matter what the price is, for different reasons, ranging from the simple fact of having bitcoin,  and supporting the community, buying-selling and hodler, it is true adoption. Now, in the case of ETFs it is a conditional adoption, directed, oriented and certainly coercive. But, it is adding up as a part adoption, not the whole, and perhaps they only see profitability.

For me, as a part of the DCA strategy, I would accumulate at the ATH as well. We're not sure what the ATH will be. However, after ETF approval, there are a lot of new and institutional investors investing in Bitcoin. On the other hand, halving is very near, and we are expecting a very bull run after this halving. So if we can accumulate through the DCA strategy, that would give us a good return at the end. But for that, we must hold on for a long time. 

That's what I'm thinking also! based on the statement from other people who wants to invest their money in bitcoin, tho they know nothing but the spiking up price only. They are convinced by other people's stories that once you put money into it, your money will double or triplentl... that is true, but there is no certainty as to when the price of bitcoin will rise and fall, so it is better to do is you guys should invest at your own risk.

Well, in the first place, they never and we never knew that was already near to the ATH. Even if it reaches $69,000 today still, we can't say that was already the new ATH until the market turns bearish again. These people are buying for one reason, to take this earning opportunity in the short term. I know most of these people are not new in the crypto space and already have some bull run experience which is why they have some courage to take risks during the uphill trend because they believe that the price will continue to pump after halving.

The only logical reason to do it is if you are using a DCA strategy, anyone else is probably just a victim of FOMO, since an investor is supposed to find a good entry point and buying at the ATH of an asset is not a good entry point at all, bitcoin gave investors years to invest in it, and if they did not took advantage of that period of time that is their problem, that being said bitcoin will grow even further and investors may be willing to invest in it thinking about this possibility, however this does not erase the fact they could have invested sooner and get more profits in this way.

FOMO is the only reason why they keep buying even though bitcoin has reached its ATH, currently bitcoin has experienced a fairly large correction (down more than 6%) from its highest price. I myself not interested in buying bitcoin at prices that are like tsunami waves at the moment, buying it now is like buying 1 piece of cake and you only get part of it.

The reason that can motivate mo to still invest in Bitcoin even at ATH is "break-out". Means Bitcoin will create new resistance above, so there's no limit as we don't have any previous resistance, and we don't have any idea or basis the next stop of Bitcoin because of this breakout.

the reason is because I believe that the price of bitcoin can still reach even higher prices. However, bitcoin can reach a new ATH before the halving occurs, whereas based on previous experience, the potential for high price increases usually occurs after the halving occurs. Many people think that the price of bitcoin could reach $100k. So, investing at the current price still provides profits. However, I have very positive feelings regarding the further development of the bitcoin price.

Some investors keep believing bitcoin has potential will raise more higher price although current bitcoin have near future with ATH, but I don't think good ideas push our self for investing in bitcoin since price almost raise with at ATH.
Looking with current bitcoin price dropping drastically and better waiting or patience awhile for going back or get correction and has chance to buy back on lower price. Some time we need avoid with positive feeling in trading and must forward research and potential correction for bitcoin after success breaking out the most highest price.

Have been common thing in bitcoin, after raising up drastically just waiting with correction moment and be patience awhile waiting the right time for reinvesting and not push your self have take risk by investing with the most higher price.

Simple and plain there is no second best

Fiat robs you off your value, if you understood this you would not be concerned if you bought at ATH or at bottom. Ofc we cant time the markets, only time in the market is what matters.

One reason for me, I don't know if there's others that have said this but I swear I'm not copying them, the reason why I do DCA even though the price is close to the previous ATH and that I'm not getting much value compared to when bitcoin was still around 20k is by the fact that I've said to myself that I'm not going to sell anytime soon and that the only time that I'd sell my bitcoin is when it reaches 200k which I know is absurd but keep in mind that bitcoin's growth over the years is absurd so why not just shoot for the moon, when you can go to the stars. This kind of thing also helps me not spend my bitcoin for stupid stuff, it kind of gives me the drive actually that I'm not spending and I'm just accumulating bitcoin.

This is also the reason why bitcoin has increased in price recently as the flow of money into the market through bitcoin ETFs is increasing. But I think the main factor is the benefits and advantages that bitcoin brings us. In our world there is no decentralized currency like bitcoin, no asset with a finite supply like bitcoin...and many other great things. Bitcoin's breakthrough is the main factor, what we should focus on to be able to trust and invest in bitcoin more. Think about it, if bitcoin didn't have those special features, would a bitcoin ETF be approved?

we are all positive but after seeing the correction last night i almost thought that we are going to be dumping bad again but yeah we are still pumping now.

The last time, Bitcoin had a double bull market with a brief but significant bear market in between. The price reached $62.8k in April 2021 (versus just shy of $20k of the previous ATH), then fell down to $30k in July, and then went up to $67.7k in November. I think Bitcoin should significantly surpass its previous ATH this time around as well, and then it can also go into a temporary 50% loss or something like that (a great time to buy more) before reaching its peak, perhaps.
So two things (or three, if you count DCA) probably motivate people to invest now. The first is simply FOMO (which was mentioned by others), and the second is a reasonable realization that Bitcoin can easily go well above the current price. I'm not saying now it is a good time to invest (unless someone is sticking to DCA), but some people can see it differently.

Actually people are thinking that btc will repeat the history of 2021 once again. These are traders those who believe in  just chart analysis and don't care much about news and adoption. The other who still believe that btc could increase more are real believer having a full faith and understand the current adoption of ETF and halving event which will be happen in less than two months.



Yes ETF is the first one as every say the trading volume of BTC Spot ETF giving huge results. investors are moving fund into the Btc spot ETF which have a very good impact on btc price. Other reason is halving which will decrease the mining rewards which will increase the demand .

For people who do DCA even a new ATH wouldn't stop us from buying Bitcoin, at least for me, I am discipline with about my DCA rule. While for speculators I think they would wait for a correction, at the time I write this reply, Bitcoin has already experienced a correction and now it also has bounced back, so buying near the ATH is not actually a problem (at least for now). While there are also some new comer who bought Bitcoin on ATH just because they are FOMO, which never ends up in a good way.

The Bitcoin spot ETF was a game changer in this year's bull season. There were some predictions that if the SEC's approval of ETF coincides with the having, the impact on the price will be great. I think we are already experiencing the impact of these two main events. The massive investment of these institutional investors has attracted more people to the Bitcoin space.


I also think that some investors are not targeting this present bull run. Some of them have investment plans that exceed four years. Such investors will keep buying because they are convinced that Bitcoin will always beat its ATH. There is also every chance that Bitcoin will hit $100k, hence buying now at the current price is still a good investment.

If not from here, then a little later a big correction is quite likely. Even necessary.

Only fools would invest in an asset at its ATH without faith in the asset's future growth. The explanation is the belief in the asset being invested, that sooner or later even buying at the ATH will bring a good profit. I don't see any other explanation.

You don't need the ETF news itself, really. And most likely, the consequences with which this is associated are what really interests you - more BTC-users, more BTC-price, and therefore more your profit.

Those others who buy at this rate are those who only believe when the price still rises and the evidence right now is in front of their eyes which leads them to buy bitcoins even if the price is quite high, they just need to act quickly because it won't just gonna stop there for a few days from now since it's already gathered more hyped, it will surely increase and will gonna rise even more and from that day forward, investors will flock all around the world to get themselves some bitcoins for yet once again, we will gonna surely witness a new ATH on bitcoins price.

An important thought for this crypto market, apart from sentiment is trading volume and other inherent reasons. In my opinion, BTC volume is constant and neither increases nor decreases any more, only 21 million coins and is also the main driver. Well, if we pay attention it doesn't matter whether it comes from an isolated country or a developing country as long as the community has a large trading volume, that can push up the price of bitcoin too.

It cannot be denied that the market can easily fall or get pumped when a country that has many BTC holders releases positive or good news and on the other hand, the participation of companies/institutions in ETFs, this is also a driver. to increase the price of BTC if they come and buy and that is wrong. one of the reasons why many people are motivated to invest in BTC.

TBH, I can't think of any reason as to why I still want to invest in Bitcoin even though I'm seeing already that it is near its previous ATH aside from hoping that it will go even higher than that price. I mean we knew already that it would surpass that previous ATH, and there's a chance that it would reach 6-digits for the first time. Even though it reaches its previous ATH, there will be a time that I will not invest any more into Bitcoin especially when I know that it has reached its peak already. I don't see any reason at all as to why I will still invest in Bitcoin even though I knew that it reached its peak already.

Some say "Whatever the price is, just focus on DCA." Well, there's nothing wrong with that strategy, but at least learn when to stop buying it if needed. If you know that it is near it's peak already, just stop, focus on selling, and wait for the bear market to start.

What else FOMO, no one wants to be left out on this bull run and it's all over social media and new, different speculations about bitcoin next price and more investors with less or little knowledge are busting in hoping for the price to still go up.

And since ETF you know are lot of holders are holding tight and a lot of new money and investors are coming in, no one knows what to expect but from the way the pump is going and the momentum from the but many are still expecting more price increase, so it's better to have little  profits than to miss out entirely.


Your right about to continue with a strict DCA, and IMO its not wrong to modify your DCA to avoid having too much avg price, cause you know that although DCA can help reduce the impact of volatility can also cause you to buy at a more higher rate unless you would balance it out buy also buying when the price starts to dip so you can also balance your avg buying price down a bit.

And IMO I don't think holder 1 is on the bad entirely cause who knows if he has been saving for a lump sum when the opportunity comes, but he would have better reduced his allocations for now if he feels the price is too high, and you know its not a very good idea to accumulate too much at the highest point cause you might have trouble balancing out your avg buying price, so it's better to do it your own way and learn from your mistakes yourself.


Bitcoin has been accessible to everyone doesn't make them invest, people invest cause of hype and because others are doing so, if the ETF isn't doing much then why did the bull set in just after its approval, I'm not saying that the ETF caused it all but it has played a major role in this bull run and that is fact.


I agree better if you have said not to invest too much with DCA at peak prices cause you don't want to have too much higher purchases when you are dealing with averages, so it's smart to pause and save for a while anything could happen from this point on, not everyone has enough bitcoin to sell and selling now to me is such a bad idea cause bitcoin might still well peak new ATH even higher than this and the bull still has momentum and going higher, if bitcoin really reaches a new price of 100k and above from now till 2025, I won't be expecting the bull to bring us anywhere near a price range like 65k to 70k or maybe 50k lowest, so if your selling now better keep that money or you might have well sold at the wrong time.

Oh so they invested in bitcoin during ATH because of FOMO is there any other reason why they did this?

There is no permanent ATH for Bitcoin. You need to consider that Bitcoin pumps will keep happening due to the demand and the limited suppy of Bitcoin. And if you think about the scalability of Bitcoin, you will realize that 69k is not really all that impressive, relative to what is coming in the future.

I will gladly keep buying Bitcoin even at 70k, 80k and higher. Because at the end of the day, we all have to accept that Bitcoin > Dollars or any other fiat currency.

So Bitcoin's on fire again, huh?  Seeing it climb towards a new all-time high  is pretty exciting, and I totally get your laser focus on DCA-ing  like there's no tomorrow. Holding for the long haul and seeing it as a retirement fund is a pretty smart move – gotta plan for the future.

But hold on a sec, gotta be honest FOMO  can be a real foe in this game. It's easy to get caught up in the hype and buy on a whim without thinking things through. Remember, Bitcoin's a wild ride, so don't go all in just because everyone else seems to be.

I'm not a new investor but if I was a new investor investing now that Bitcoin has already hit the new all time high and we're expecting a correction or a further bull run, I would invest because I know that if I invest properly I will still be able to benefit from the market like someone who has been investing since. Another reason why if as a new investor, I still invest now will be because I am financially comfortable, already have other profitable investments, and can risk the amount of money I am choosing to use invest in bitcoins now.

The reason I am holding bitcoin, is to save for a long to enlarge my coast and to keep as a great store of value and to enrich my family in the future and also for my retirement age

People always want to see result before participating in Any thing, not knowing that all day might not be thesame Though most peopple who were reluctant about Bitcoin, has seen the reasons behind why they could not a buy before and probably want to buy now. So bitcoin is important and we need to invest without season.

Anyone who invests in bitcoin is doing so for profit. I don't think I have specific data on investing; whenever money comes into my hands, I simply remove 30% of it and top up my investment to increase my profits when the bitcoin increases in profits. Those are the ones that have planned their stay for the long term and when we say that term, it is only them to determine on how long that long term is. While the others that have bought at the peak, most of them are newbies and they have to wait for it to see the price go higher on their bought price. Yes. It has been reached $69k yesterday. After it reached $69k, it suddenly dropped to $59k. But it already increased again to $67k today.

Why investors must feel fear? They must understand that we will have Bitcoin halving next month. I'm sure most of the investors still keep their Bitcoin. They know Bitcoin price still keeps increasing until the halving ends. It is the reason of some people still try to buy again Bitcoin although it already reached the ATH. People feel optimistic that there should be a new ATH in every bullrun season.

Just like Michael Saylor. When we're on those price ranges that seem to be quite high already, he keeps on buying for his Microstrategy and will continue to do so. On average, he's already in million profits but I doubt it that he's going to sell a lot of it when it's not that needed at all. And those that are also buying at high prices, they have the idea that this is going to be a long game for them and they have the chill to wait for it to see the increase. There is nothing to worry for them because the bulll run is just getting started.

That is for sure that we'll see another ATH but it is going to take time and those that have bought at the peak, your time is also going to come for you to start making some profits. Unlike me, I've sold in the past bull run early than that and that's why this time I am trying to be more patient because I'll never know how high this bull run will cause me for the bitcoins that I am holding. Yes, it’s actually the faith you have for bitcoin that it will definitely not stop with the current price but will continue to rise more in the market most especially that we are fast heading to bitcoin halving and bull run. For me, I don’t really care even I started investing in bitcoin at its higher price, because I’m not here to just buy and sell for quick profits, but I believe bitcoin is for long term so one must hold it for 5-10 years in order to gain maximum profits.

However, others may be entering the market too because they have plans to buy when a new all time high comes. So they will still sell in profits which I think the most important here.

I am not investing Bitcoin at its ATH but the reason I still could is that I believe in Bitcoin. Of course we will experience the bear market someday but over the long run, I don’t think the bear market can do any harm because Bitcoin will worth a lot more than it is today. Maybe $300k, $500k or even $1M. With or without the ETF.

I am also hopeful with BTC future but it would be fair to say that bitcoin is worth only that amount for which current price is there. This is because current price is an accurate indication of current supply and demand related to bitcoin. If there will be more demand in future , it will surely increase the price as supply is limited. Once all the bitcoins are mined and new bitcoins will no longer be available to come in circulation, after that point it will explode real well.

I don't think they have any knowledge, most people are still scared of the bear without knowing its the right time to invest in bitcoin, FOMO I'd just the feeling, no one wants to miss out but your here at such a wrong time, we could as well be at the peak of the bull and your just coming.

Yes, ATHs are good and all that, but the truth of the matter is that they are but a massive oomph in improving the longevity of the cryptocurrency industry. I'm kind of interested in making sure that the industry who kept me fed and alive financially for years remains existent so it could touch more lives in the future, so I concern myself with little things I could do to make sure this industry stays afloat. One of which is knowing for a fact that while cryptocurrencies need their ATH every now and again, economic momentum even when people are selling or holding is much more important in making sure the industry persists. We gotta make sure that the industry remains eventful every now and again, even when it's expected to stagnate for a little while.

Plus, it's not like crypto's done and dusted soon as it reaches its ATH, there's still a lot of money to be had by then, and you could lose out on these massive opportunities if you instill the idea upon yourself that bitcoin, or any crypto for that matter, is as good as done when they reach their ATH and they couldn't break that barrier anymore for the time period.

If bitcoin has shown positive tremendous effect within its first decade, then most probably the effect will be a lot huge and bigger within in the next years starting today. This is the reason why I’ve been hodling bitcoin and continue to DCA with bitcoin even at its ATH. Its just best option for them I think,its good that they're willing to allocate more bitcoin,even before the upcoming bitcoin halving event.Also,a variety of beneficial factors can make people still want to invest in bitcoin.Cryptocurrency gains value when demand rises higher than supply.
 But even at that,bitcoin stills holds something for the future.Bitcoin remains a valuable thing to hold or accumulate with significant returns in future and beyond.
 I don't think ATH will really withdraw people's interest and attention from investing in it or buy bitcoin.Even with the ATH,bitcoin will still be able to attract more of its enthusiasts,and constantly create a comfortable socio-economical access to freedom to us all.

The circumstances of everyone are different, so those that were able to only get the money they needed to invest in bitcoin now have my sympathy, as they literally could not pick a better moment than now to invest in it, but all of those that were on the fences about bitcoin and refused to invest in it when it was much cheaper and are just doing it now, have no excuse in my eyes, as even if I believe they can make a lot of money, they could have made way more money if they just were resolute enough to invest in bitcoin when it was close to its bottom.

There are only two options as to where bitcoin can go, it’s either it will continue to skyrocket or it will go through a price correction temporarily but eventually it will get back to recover again and surge high. But seeing how optimistic the market and the people is, I also prefer to continue investing despite of the high price of bitcoin. Because I know there won’t be problem anyway, if my goal is to hold for long term, and won’t never sell when bitcoin price is dropping.

From my perspective, I think most people buying/investing in Bitcoin even at this levels is because of the believe that Bitcoin will continue to rise, even if there will be a price correction it doesn't matter because it will surely rise to good level where profit will be made.

Another reason why some people like me are stilling investing in Bitcoin is because we know some invest strategy that is a very much recommended one for everyone which is DCA. if anyone here uses the DCA method and/or strategy to invest Bitcoin he or she would continue to buy regardless of the current price and this is an act that is been driven by a target of long term investment. for me personally as long as Bitcoin has not reach its peak in still buying especially if I have the capital to buy then I will keep buy and holding because Bitcoin as a paradigm has not seize to amaze me ever since know.

for the sake of keeping you updated, at the time I'm writing this,  the current value of Bitcoin is at 72075 which exceeds the 69000 you thought was an ATH that's too high to keep buying. Everyone that's still buying at this current price has a pan he his working with and had probably not reached that point he feels making investment isn't necessary. Some have already sold and made profit out of their investment while others are entering into the market for the first time which might be the possible reason behind them accumulating at this point in time.

Traders buys and sells everyday and with what's currently going on with the increasing value of Bitcoin almost at a regular pace, most traders would still be at profit cause it's almost certain that every two days their is always an upward move in the value of Bitcoin which gives you profit at whatever price you've bought at the moment. It's just necessary we become realistic enough to know that it's Bitcoin season and its climbing further and further and further.

Aiming for a higher market price and investing mainly for long term, plus we have good things that obviously get the Bitcoin a big boost like the ETF.

For sure in the coming months, we are going to get the correction, even though we could see the market price skyrocket right now up to 72k$ which is already a new all-time high, for those experience trader we know that a correction is surely going to hit soon, and there was no other way around it if the market price continues to skyrocket we are going to get a correction soon it's just inevitable and part of the market cycle. Mainly I'm just doing it for profit for sure because aiming higher is going to give me a higher profit than just selling now around 72k$, I mean if I sold my Bitcoin if the market price is around 150k$ it would be x2 of that profit.

It's not really just what motivates me, but I think it is about because I can hold it, what I mean here is I dont really need the money right now since I already have the financial foundation, I have a full-time job, and a good side hustle which I could use on my needs, wants and pay the bills, etc. I dont really rely on my Bitcoin investment as an income I mean it's an investment in the first place so it should have been for long-term things. Still, I'm aware of the risk of Cryptocurrency so I do sell some of my Bitcoin like when it hits 72k$ but it is just a very small percentage, it just goes straight to my savings waiting for another opportunity so that I can reinvest it in case the correction hit.

I mean if you doesnt have other sources of income other than your investment it is surely going to be tempting to sell especially because the market price already hit its all time high, and i wouldn't really say that its a wrong move because you already make a good profit on it, but in my case I can hold it for long term and Im aiming for a higher market price it wasn't really because I'm greedy but still I want to see how its going to play out, I have a lot of room for profit so even if the market price drop to a very low price I know that there will be another cycle.

Bitcoin price is fast increasing and the fear of missing out is the greatest motivation for many to want to buy even at ATH. The fact that we are already at an ATH does not mean there wouldn't be another ATH. Many don't want to miss out on this amazing opportunity Bitcoin has to offer. If they have the money to invest in Bitcoin even with the high price now, they should and if they are patient enough,  they will still make profits. There is no specific price rate to buy Bitcoin, while others are waiting for the price to fall, many are buying. What matters most is your patience to watch your investment grow and not you being in a hurry to start seeing profits immediately.

Weekly DCA is what makes me invest in Bitcoin even on it's peak and it does not matter to me to be honest because I just hodl my coins. Some investors might say it's a bad idea and they are correct about their opinion I just don't want to stop accumulation even if it was just small amount per week. We all know that we all have plans but we differ on strategies.

One thing is that I believe Bitcoin's price will continue to rally because more and more investors are interested in pouring their money into Bitcoin investment especially Bitcoin ETF that is currently gaining more traction.

My thoughts are that based on just US ETF inflows since January, my mental math says they alone are collecting about 8 X new supply at US$72000, per week.  And so 16 X new supply post halving.  That would mean equilibrium is 8-16 X the price now, assuming ETF demand stays constant.  That doesn't include other non-ETF demand which is more difficult to measure.  So once those willing to sell at each price level dries up the price has to increase to get anyone else to sell.

You'd think people would clue in that even ignoring the halving the supply/demand curve seems to be way out of whack and they should remove their coins from the market, but I guess not yet.  Prices are set at the margin so it doesn't take much more demand or slightly less available supply to significantly increase the fiat price which is why we are seeing right now.

So that is why smart people are still investing.  Of course we've been hearing "tulips" and "bubble" and the same nonsense for 14-15 years so there are plenty of people who don't seem to have clued in or are purposefully carrying water for the fiat-inflation-loving statists.

People are just positive because they see the huge impact brought by good events happened recently and since there's a news regarding on halving then there's a lot of people  became more positive again that there would be more to come for this year and speculate that they can earn a profit if they continue to accumulate even if the current price of bitcoin is so expensive. ETF really brought up some good price pump on bitcoin and I believe that the strong  pump will happen soon so I still think about accumulating to add up my balance and gain profit when bitcoin pump again. There are definitely big differences between this Bull run with others and this difference is the effect of ETF. Many of us thought that we would see a big correction in Bitcoin price but Bitcoin has started to become bullish in a way that is far from everyone's predictions. There is no perfect time to buy Bitcoin, although I bought some during bull season, still a great opportunity to buy at a discounted price (bear season) as it was found to be an accumulation period.

I still think with or without ETF approval, bitcoin will still continue to prove to us how limitless its price will be. Most especially that we are heading for another bitcoin halving and bull run, bitcoin has always been highly profitable and history is here to prove it. However, probably if there was no ETF approval, we won’t be witnessing this rapid growth of bitcoin price, although bitcoin is still expected to skyrocket but maybe at a slow upward motion.

But we should accept the fact that this Bitcoin ETF approval greatly affected the price of Bitcoin since it was approved. Who knows what the price of Bitcoin will be right now or how fast will be its price movement if there's no news about that. It basically means that we need more positive news like this one and not only about the upcoming halving to continuously push the price of Bitcoin up to the highest price possible.

Who would have thought that we are going to reach a new ATH so quickly in 2024. Personally, I thought that it would take at least until after the halving and probably more close to the end of 2024. The big question now is why are still people buying bitcoin at such a high price. First of all, we need investors that are still buying now, because otherwise the price wouldn't be rising anymore. Without any buyers in the market there would be no new ATH and the bitcoin price would be falling again. Anybody who is buying now obviously believes that price is still going to rise further. I am one of those people that believes the bitcoin price should be above 100,000 USD at least, which makes buying coins today still a decent investment. Then there is the whole group of DCA buyers who have been buying a fixed amount over a longer period of time. In such a case it's also a good idea to keep buying, because you already made a big profit from your earlier purchases. As long as we have free capital and don't know where to save it then it's fine to be buying cryptos in my opinion, because stocks are also at their ATH. Many risky assets are doing pretty well at the moment, not only Bitcoins.

No one thought that we would be able to make new all time high before halving period. We've see new ATH but not really that much too far on 69k as we do know. To those people who do invest on ATH
and now seeing the price is on 62k back again and might be falling down below 60k then im pretty sure that they are in panic now specially the price had made out some correction.
If you are someone whose really that going for long term then this wont really be an issue but if you are making some short trades then for sure you would really be having that kind of worry reaction.

The current price is starting to climb up but im sure that before halving period happens we might be seeing some further dumps but actually who knows? No one really knows on what the future looks like.
Different factors and situations could really be able to make things that move up on the price whether it would make the market goes up or not.

Believing in the technolog that promises financial freedom should be the number 1 reason to invest in crypto, and having seen bitcoin grow, soar, dip and all its experiences I don't think I would be personally buying around its ATH as this is a psychological area that veteran traders or hodlers will be selling to avoid missing out on the selling opportunity of taking some profits out and this is actually what's happening. And it being unregulated, it still remains exposed to speculation which might be what's preventing BTc from major growth.

i think it is rising mainly because of the halving event that a lot of people are assuming to lead to an event where bitcoin will exponentially rise so even though bitcoin has risen with the help of etf approval i still think even without it bitcoin would have done well

Are there any other reasons to buy Bitcoin? Of course, that is the main reason and nothing else. That's why, of course, others are digging deeper because bitcoin also has a use case in the life of anyone who believes in holding it to the truth.

While everyone invest for profits or let’s say future financial freedom, I myself also invest for future retirement as well. I have been saving bitcoin years ago but they still end up being sold because I was totally focused on gaining my whole profits without thinking leaving some for future investment profits. Now, I’ve grown and become more mature in handling bitcoin and just only sell some of them if they’re genuinely needed. You are not correct with your update about the new all time high this year 2024 the new all time high this year is 73k,

then answering your question, in as much as it is good to buy when the price is low, buying at any price point is also good for any idea investor who's aim is to buy and hold for long term investment because any one not buying now may not buy again reason being that there are so much uncertainty in the market such that the price you are seeing now you may not see it again it may go higher than what you are seeing today so the best time is to get starter irrespective of the entry price point.

I am always interested in investing in Bitcoin because I believe in Bitcoin a lot.  Bitcoin will never be a scam I believe in this concept.  Altcoins can't be trusted because if the price of altcoin goes down then its price doesn't go up easily and most of the altcoins are scams after the price goes down. but Bitcoin does one that has no fear of being scammed and no matter how much its price goes down it takes a long time to recover.

Apart from the reasons you mentioned, the reason I am still investing in bitcoin is because of the halving event which will soon occur this year, considering that this event encourages me to continue buying bitcoin and the bitcoin halving is of course one of the events that is highly anticipated by Cryptocurrency fans in particular for bitcoin investors because after that it will most likely make the price of bitcoin rise higher even though recently bitcoin has made a new ATH but there will still be another ATH after the halving and I am very sure.

For those people who buys at the top, it is usually fomo that leads them to buy. Some people only buy when the market is very active. And depending on your goals and capital, you can buy for longterm regardless of the price.

There are a million and one reasons people find Bitcoin worth investing in. Many people invest to make a profit which I believe is among the major goals of investors, some invest in Bitcoin for the safety of their assets, and some do that because they want to be in charge of their assets and not a third party to control, some also do that because they can move from one place to another with their assets right with them i.e mobility, some do that to measure the value of their wealth.

However, it would please you to know that Bitcoin is the future digital currency, which is why it has gained the traction and height it has attained. Bitcoin is freedom, freedom from third-party control and lastly, freedom of the unbanked.

Bitcoin being unregulated isn't a bad thing and that isn't what is keeping Bitcoin from major growth. If Bitcoin somehow gets regulated it won't have the same level of interest from the individual that loves their privacy and a decentralized currency. Bitcoin being unregulated is one of the reason why I started investing in Bitcoin because I wanted to invest into something that isn't controlled by the government because the government are in charge of everything that when you think you're using something that isn't controlled by the give, you'll be lying to yourself because the government controls everything in our life but they don't control Bitcoin and this is what makes me very interested in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is going to make the government to not have any control over money very soon if we don't allow them access.

Instead I am waiting for a large correction after Bitcoin got ATH because I can buy in large quantities for the next accumulation. But if person still invest when Bitcoin is almost close to ATH that means they want to benefit from the next ATH process. Basically the purchase of Bitcoin is not a problem with any price as long as person hold Bitcoin for the long term because even though ATH is currently around $ 69000, it will definitely be exceeding the price.

I do believe that Bitcoin can surpass the current ATH and reach new price range in the future. I agree, everything is very relative, and today's ATH can become tomorrow's dip. The main thing here is to correctly assess the direction of market movement. If you anticipate further growth, then you need to buy here and now, because opportunities are lost very easily. If you manage to make money from it, then you should not regret not buying at a lower price, because your analysis was still correct and the market went in the direction you predicted.

Currently I will not take any big fund of mine to invest on bitcoin and not only just Bitcoin I am avoiding any kind of investing on cryptocurrency. But currently I have continued to maintain my long term strategy DCA method. When Bitcoin rose to 56K, I sold my holding of $400 to buy back the $400 when Bitcoin came for a correction to 50K.  But Bitcoin is no longer going below 60k for correction and I put my investment stop for that. Also if we check the grid level now we can see that it is around 80 which is risky for investment. I don't know why others are buying bitcoin now, maybe it's because of the reasons you've shown, and those who are long term may be continuing to invest in bitcoin through DCA Management.

Just as our faces differ, so do each and every one of us have different reasons, plans and method how & why we invest in Bitcoin, because just as some invest in Bitcoin weekly, monthly or quarterly without considering if is the price or low, but sticking to buying a consistent $50 or $100 weekly as an asset for long term investment due to how  convinced they are about what it's value stands for and likely to be in the near future, thats one reason that can make people still buying Bitcoin at All-time-High, because they know Bitcoin will always create new All-time-High, in as much as the demand keeps increasing.

I am holding my bitcoin for a long term investment, even if there is a correction here, I don’t have any problem with that, since my aim of investing is for long term. Whenever am having any money which I won’t be using for now, I don’t even think about it twice before buying bitcoin with it, so even after passing the previous all time high, I will keep on accumulating bitcoin. Bull run haven’t started yet but bitcoin has already passed the previous all time high, I can’t just image the new all time high price bitcoin will be setting during the bull run.

If you haven’t invested yet, I don’t think it’s late already, you still have opportunity to invest, but before making investment, make sure you do your own research first, don’t invest just because people ask you to invest, always make sure you do your research first before investing.

Simply the idea that it can even create another peak in its market value. It really was fast; it only took a year from its lowest market price to breaking its all time high which makes it  valid to purchase even when its market price is still high due to hopes that the increase would be continuous. I personally believe that Bitcoin could really reach $100k after the halving however, buying or entry points are crucial for me. Don't get me wrong; buying at this point would still be profitable. If you have a lot of extra money to invest and won't mind holding for quite some time, then you're free to do so. If you can endure potential decline on its market price before the halving (more likely), then that's better. But I want to at least maximize the profit which is why i prefer a lower market price if I would be adding an amount to my Bitcoin holdings. I managed to buy early and to that gives me enough margin to not FOMO and other unnecessary actions.

I think it's different for someone who understands Bitcoin and someone who doesn't. Some people have already said FOMO is the reason people are ready to invest in Bitcoin even at an ATH, but people who understand Bitcoin won't do that because of FOMO.
Personally, I feel it's because they know that Bitcoin can always get higher, especially during a bill run.
If I get money now and I don't have any particular reason for it, I will buy Bitcoin even though Bitcoin is going between 69k - $71k recently. I'll be bold enough to do so because I speculate that the price would be higher. If it makes a 30% increase, that's a 30% increase in my investment which is a lot.

For people who don't understand Bitcoin, I can agree it's FOMO. They see the new trend and a lot of people making money from it so they just invest so they don't miss out.

Both have different levels of thinking and usually people who agree more with FOMO are not involved in investing because their thinking ability is too weak. Bitcoin has provided space for anyone to reach the stage of financial freedom and the ability to engage in investment is very dependent on one's ability to understand the journey of bitcoin. Initially I also experienced fear when I was involved in Bitcoin, but this fear became a motivation for me to learn about Bitcoin's journey so that at that time I became more interested in getting involved in it.

FOMO will never disappear in the bitcoin journey but how can one control fear. If one can control the fear then I am sure people will be much more interested in getting involved in bitcoin because nowadays we have seen how bitcoin has provided a level of financial improvement to anyone. Rejecting something that we can get is a form of our not being ready to get out of our comfort zone.

Most investors are motivated to buy due to FOMO during bull season.Investors are always after making huge profit from their investment so they might also buy during new ATH because they have the expectation that the price will continue to increase.
Whatever motivation the sole aim of every investment is making profit.FOMO is not only the reason why most investors are motivated to buy,but those that know that bitcoin will always increase in price after every halving will accumulate regardless because the more you accumulate the more profit you get.

Actually making up such decision on investing or making some entry of Bitcoins ATH is really that make you hesitate. Why? we do know that this is a resistance that would really be that so damn hard to ahve some breakout
plus we do know that there would really be that last dip before the market would be shooting up basing up into those past events then this is where people would really be looking at on which i could blame them on why they are really that still holding their position and waiting for that situation before they would really be making out such entry on which for those who are experienced then they would really be definitely be doing this one.
If you are really that a Bitcoin investor and who do really believes into its potential then you would really be definitely be considering on entering on whatever the price would be and since you would really be holding for long term then it wont really be that an issue on whatever your entry price point.

I normally don't find any reasons to invest in Bitcoin at ATH.. if you wanna be profitable, buy as early as possible!
Bitcoin is all about confronting your fears and buying at the right time, expecting the usual pump. If any investor is buying at ATH for fear of missing out totally, why should they buy at all? They could be a retracement in price movement at ATH and they all will be toast! Instead, why not invest on ETFs?

When Bitcoin starts increasing, alot of newbie starts having the feeling of FOMO then they start buying Bitcoin and end up buying at the ATH but this shouldn't be something we should be ashamed of because it doesn't make us less of am investor because it might just take two few more years for you to get back to your buying capital and potential increase further. Investing in Bitcoin come with a piece of mind because you know you won't lose you invested amount. You can hodl Bitcoin for as long as you want like until you have recovered your capital. Another reason why we might buy Bitcoin at ATH is because we didn't know that it was the top of the market.


Already all those that bought Bitcoin in the previous halving have already made their profit before the sudden cash in price that the market is experiencing but this are just healthy correction that the market needs to shake off weak hands and only take with it strong hodlers they are hodlers fit them to benefit.

To make it simple, people who understand Bitcoin and keep buying it even when it is at its ATH are those who understand that "at whatever point you buy Bitcoin, as long as you are able to hold your asset until you can make a profit from it" because there are two types of Bitcoin holders, namely those who hold Bitcoin in the short term and those who hold it in the long term. If they are holding in the short term, it may sound like they will lose if they buy at the ATH, but for those who are holding in the long term, it doesn't mean anything to them - because they plan to hold on to it until their goal is reached.

So, in essence, the already seen growth, and the potential growth of bitcoin in the future is one of the reasons why I will never stop buying bitcoin even if it's close to it's all time high - there is still a lot of room for more and much more growth.

It's obvious that after the bull we experience there would Na a price correction after the halving takes place, and I think we are actually experience the price correction but it's not yet intensive as predicted by some folks. However those who sold their Bitcoin might be trader who can utilise more profit by buying in the dip, but those who buy even at the ATH, they are those who have come to understanding of Bitcoin network and have seen the how trustworthy the network is. In fact, I can attest to the fact that they are not being Freaked anymore when the price dips or pump.

As I said before, a good asset only helps us minimize risk but cannot guarantee us profits. The necessary and sufficient condition to ensure profits for us is that we need to have the right time to buy and sell, and with a good asset.

What I see is people just shouting and emphasizing that bitcoin is a good, potential asset...and they naively think that just buying it will automatically yield profits and make them rich. But they don't know that bitcoin is just a financial market, and there will be winners and losers. People who buy at too high a price or at an ATH price only become liquidity for others, not helping them make a profit. It's true that they could have held and waited if they bought at ATH, but when they broke even, many others had made many times their profits. So buying when the price is at ATH or buying because of Fomo is not a smart investment strategy.

I think many if us invested in Bitcoin at all time high and that was because of the speculation that describes Bitcoin to be on it way to the bull market. Many investors were deluded started buying and holding Bitcoin and altcoins with the hope that price is going to do better.
Many investors are still in shock seeing the price of Bitcoin falling to the level that it's now.
Although this could looks like a big disappointment but all we have to do is keep holding and waiting for the better time for harvesting.
