Title: Bitcoin Bullish period and advantage.
Post by: laijsica on May 22, 2024, 11:57:09 AM
Some investors are generally interested in buying more BTC at DIP prices and tend to sell during bullish times. But holding is more important because it will happen again and again when ATH is observed in the market with gap of few months. A bullish period is characterized by overall market optimism and expectations of higher performance for the future. Even offers higher returns than bearish ones. A bull market usually reflects the utmost confidence of investors that a person can align their investments in this positive trend. Increasing market value makes investors optimistic about the positive loop. These positive market conditions may prevent investors from being psychologically tempted to sell BTC. It can even discourage selling during market downturns. Many investment firms can build potential wealth by investing more during periods of BTC price appreciation.

The reality people who buy Bitcoin at the dip and sell during bullish is better than DCA and holding.

From the past 4 years, if someone can buy and sell at the right time, they can at least earn 12x since the price on 2020 was $5K and now it's $70K. If they're DCA-ing Bitcoin from 2020, they're only earn 2x-3x.

Trader is better than investor, everyone can become investor, but not everyone can become trader.

From your example that you use from 2020 to 2024, the person will make profit if he sells fine no doubt. But where the DCA and hodli investor will make more profit than that trader is in the end of the second circle, because he has sold all his bitcoin and how much will he buy back in the bear market of 2025/2026. This is where hodlers surpasses a trader. A trader can sell and buy back to start all over again waiting for the bull to sell again.

An investor profit lies on the compounding profit from his bitcoin portfolio over time, because the price of bitcoin increases in value with time. Trading sucks and that is why it is not everyone that can be a good trader because of the stress and emotional trauma of the market, which can make you run at loss. A professional trader can still run at loss, but a long term hodler cannot run at loss, but will have a huge profit at the end of his bitcoin journey. Hodli and save for your future. Trade and gamble with your future.

It's really hard to control your psychology, emotion and action in either bear market or bull market. You need to practice, live in this market a long time to be experienced first, then be able to calm yourself in severe times of the market like bull or bear, crash.

Psychology of market cycles (https://fifthperson.com/psychology-market-cycles/). The chart is very famous but how many people can understand it and can actually use it practically in investment and trading, there are very few people can practice well.

If you are an investor or trade you will always grab the opportunity when the market dumps but of course with the proper execution of the signals and analysis not all the time dip is already the bottom sometimes there's a follow-up on it so position where to buy is a must. Also if you are looking forward to the long-term goal of the bitcoin you can now make at least not the dip but also take the ride with the market hype and volatility and take profit once it gets satisfied with your unrealized pnl.

Well, from a purely pragmatic perspective of making more profit, it makes sense to buy low, sell high, then buy low again, as long as you can buy it for less than you sold it for. This way, a person can maximize the value if it's done properly. For example, one could buy at $4k in 2017, sell for $18k at the end of that year, and then buy again for, say, $10k in 2018, then sell for $60k in 2021, and so on. This reduces some of the risk because you can cash out when there's good profit, and then just way for the price to fall significantly to buy even more BTC.
But often it's just not worth it to spend time on looking for these patterns, so it's easier to just hodl or do DCA.

We Bitcoin holders don't always worry about price ups and downs, is being a trader forever profitable? Of course not, is being an investor or holder of Bitcoin for a long time profitable? 100% yes. :P upss

both are equally good and have their own targets, advantages and disadvantages. As long as you put yourself in the position of a trader who makes a profit then there is no need to devalue investment just because it is a matter of 1x, 2x and so on. After all, you cannot force investors to become traders and vice versa. If it is felt that traders are better, why do the richest people in Bitcoin prefer investment over traders?

Sometimes comparing investments and traders will be endless. Do what you like investing, trading or whatever with bitcoin, if you are looking for profit. Just realistic, right?

Everything about the market buy and sell is on a continuous process and we are also investing without affording to miss out on any earning opportunity alongside, each of the market season is when the people invest and set priority on what they want to do as well as how they are interested in going about it, all these happens because they are sure of making profits at the cause, after which they have invested and hold.

It can even discourage selling during market downturns. Many investment firms can build potential wealth by investing more during periods of BTC price appreciation.

Everyone trading or investing will be desperate about making profits, it all depends on the purpose for our investment, if we are going long or short, or maybe intended for making trades which some also understands the risk and requirements for doing that.

I don't think those who sold during the bull season are better than the DCA holder. They are just simply traders though we can categories them as long term holders but their initial investment plan was to sell off at any slight bull so their aren't going to make as much profit as those who would be using the DCA and continually accumulating for a longer term. Yes these investors also have a target, but they over look the bull most times and continue holding. Just like @Frankolala said, they would have to buy once again but at a higher value compared to when they had first bought and this to me is going to be loss for them but to the DCA holders it would be profit as they already have a lot of coins piled up and waiting for what ever x market they were waiting for.

Practicing and living in the market allows you go through the emotions, because you will be experiencing the ups and downs of the market flows from when it is bullish to when it is bearish, which will help build your psychology. Investor try to be too emotional at the first stage of their investment, just as the OP said that some investors will Buy the Dip and sell immediately they see bullish signal, but they are forgetting that, that same process will happen again and again till there is a new ATH. So for me I would say I will allow them to go through the emotions so that at the end of the day, they can learn on their own, because some of them seem not to understand holding for a long term is more profitable.

Of course traders aren't always make profit and never loss.

But, technically if the traders can always buy and sell at the right time, the profit is way more higher than investors. While @OP explains like becoming investor is more profitable than trader.

Either they already have too much money and they want to enjoy their life or they have a way to make more money than become trader.

Just like @Frankolala said, they would have to buy once again but at a higher value compared to when they had first bought and this to me is going to be loss for them but to the DCA holders it would be profit as they already have a lot of coins piled up and waiting for what ever x market they were waiting for.
Let's illustrate.

We both have $1K to invest in Bitcoin, you bought Bitcoin at $5K on March 2020, so you own 0.2 BTC.

I also bought Bitcoin at $5K on March 2020, I own 0.2 BTC.
Next year I sold my coins at $60K, now I have $12K.
I wait for few months, then I bought Bitcoin at $30K, now I have 0.4 BTC.
After next few months I sold my coins at $60K, now I have $24K.
At the end of 2022 I bought Bitcoin at $15K, so I own 1.6 BTC.

So which one make more money at the end?

I don't understand your explanation, you are always selling at 60k which is not possible. The only time that you can sell at 60k was in 2021 after you bought in 2020,because bitcoin price was at 69k in ATH. After that the price of bitcoin dip to 16k in 2022 October. And after that time, it is this year that we saw 60k price so when will you sell again at 60k price apart from 2021.

The person that bought bitcoin in 2020 with you and didn't sell but continue to DCA since then till now, will be in a big profit compare to you selling and buying. No one knows the right time to buy bitcoin in order to make profit, because no one can predict correctly the price of bitcoin, if not all traders will be in profit and everybody will be a good trader.

A bullish period is characterized by overall market optimism and expectations of higher performance for the future. Even offers higher returns than bearish ones.

Unless you're a very lucky person and have a good awareness of the market, it isn't always easy to buy at the right time and also sell at the right time. The idea of buying and selling Bitcoin (trading) and redoing it for profit is mostly achievable on paper and not a reality which makes it an impossible task to achieve by an average user. I know some people do achieve this but that's why I said unless they're very lucky it can't always be achievable but when you're hodling, everybody that takes this investment path gets the same results. During the bullish market, the advantage there is the price of Bitcoin will always increase so you don't necessary have to time the market right but just buy some Bitcoin and hodl them safely.

Some ignorant investors don't care if the market is bullish or not, they'll always sell out of fear that the bull market mightn't last long. If the market is having a correction, you'll find many investors selling and this make them to not be part of the future beneficiary of Bitcoin gains. Investment firms are filled with smart investors and they know the best time to accumulate Bitcoin is during its downtime and that's why you'll always find them accumulating when the market is down but we don't follow their footsteps instead we think we're smarter and always chasing after the market when it's increasing and if we're to profit we can't compare ours with those that bought when Bitcoin was having a downtime.

It is not everyone who is in the Bitcoin space that has the patience to hold for a long time. Some of them are short-term traders who monitor that market to make profits immediately after the market becomes slightly favorable. But I also agree that some newbies are just so impatient and this might be attributed to a lack of experience. As they spend more time in the ecosystem, they will understand that there is no need to make hasty decisions.

The reality people who buy Bitcoin at the dip and sell during bullish is better than DCA and holding.

The question now is how will you know the right time to buy or sell to make maximum profit like you illustrated? Bitcoin trading is risky and unpredictable which could lead to unexpected losses. It is easier to say that traders make more money than hodlers but the this is not always the case. Bitcoin hodlers make money in a less stressful and risky conditions.

Well, I could say it’s a wise option but I guess holding as well most especially if you start buying and holding at its dips, will definitely turn into a massive profit, not just 2x-3x but somehow it could reach more than that especially if bitcoin price surprises us with a new all time high. Although buying at its dips and selling at the bull run will always promise highly significant profits, but more than that, holding your coins and leaving it in your wallet for like 10 years, I think it will enable you to reap highly exceptional profits in the long run. Bitcoin price is unpredictable, so it’s hard to determine its right time to buy and sell at a short term.

In my opinion, if you have made significantly enough profit then you can already sell and take out your money. What would be the best is to take profit and then buy again during a correction or a dip. Time is always and should be considered when doing this strategy. You need to find the perfect times otherwise not only are you wasting your money but also your opportunities.

Let me quickly point out some things that makes your position on this matter more of theoretical than reality. First of all, when is the right time to buy and sell? Can you know it in real time or just in hindsight? The chances of buying at the bottom and selling at the peak is extremely low. If you can shift your analysis back to 2016/2017 and use a case of someone who have been accumulating through the DCA without selling and someone who have been buying in bear season and selling in the following bull season, you will easily see that the long term investor will be extremely rich by now whereas the person buying and selling would have even invested most of his proceeds in other businesses such as real estate, reason being that he will not want to keep the money in the bank or stablecoins where it will be yielding no profits.

Trader is better than investor, everyone can become investor, but not everyone can become trader.
Both the traders and investors are investors because they put their money in expectations for some rewards. The only difference between both, if that is actually what you are inferring, is that those called traders are short term investors who buy and sell within a very short period of tile while the investors are long term traders who hold their Bitcoin for a very long period of time before they consider selling. Whichever case, there is buying and selling which make both traders as well as investors.

Trader is better than investor, everyone can become investor, but not everyone can become trader.
What do you mean, being a trader is better than an investor because traders can make a profit as long as they trade consistently? If that is true, for me the profits obtained by investors are greater, of course long-term investors who use the DCA method as their strategy.

Being a trader is better than an investor because not everyone can do it? It's true if you look at it from that way of thinking. If seen from another perspective, everyone wants to play it safe with a smaller level of risk so they don't want to trade in Bitcoin. I choose to be an investor rather than a trader.

the thing is that during a bullish season Bitcoin always have advantages for people or who investing it that is why you receive any investors who invest in Bitcoin that will be probably like  enters bitcoin to the bullish season anyone who is into cryptocurrency always like to hold their bitcoin until the price of the Bitcoin in the market increases so the advantages they get during the time Bitcoin or cryptocurrency increases is that the market will it be appreciated and whatever thing they invested will it be appreciated more than double so that is why it is good for bitcoin to increase during when we hold

What do you mean by a period of BTC price appreciation, is that mean a bearish trend, well we call it the accumulation phase which comes after the bull season, in the bearish cycle. That's the best time to invest your funds in BTC and do DCA if you don't want to do a lump sum. And then wait for the next ATH which comes near the next halving. This time comes before the halving. Well the point is, holding definitely have more potential and rewards in compared to the general investors who sells and buys more often.

I used to trade but did not get much profit, but when I started to hold funds for longer period of time, I started to see positive results, I first started in future trading, later left it as it is not for newbies, now when I do trading in spot, future looks like a sitting duck which I can take easily but when we are in trade our emotions are the main thing urging us to react, that's the main thing we should have control on. Even if market is going up or down, holders won't react to them because they have set a time in there mind for how long they will hold, and that's why they don't even see the market's behaviour, sometime they don't even know market was down or up.

When it comes to investment in bitcoins, people have different perspectives and goals, and because of this, they make different decisions which makes the crypto-market flow very well every year that's why we need each of them to do what they want with their investment because they can't be doing long term holding together at once because it won't really make sense when there is no flow of bitcoins you see, that's why the 10,000 BTC and Pizza thing has happened because of the flow needed and we need to protect that until now or else we won't see any further adaptations and continues popularity if everyone became a holder of bitcoins not selling it at all.

You shouldn't say it's better; one of the hardest thing to do is creating a follow-up or understanding market's decision to know exactly when it's most condusive to buy during the DIP.. not everyone has that spare time to analyze the trend. Eitherways, to begin trading, you'd need the skill, time and most importantly - a thick-skin to accept whatever loses you encounter.

Trader is better than investor, everyone can become investor, but not everyone can become trader.
That doesn't make trading more lucrative either. As harmless as it looks to be greedy, you could end up like a pulp for it.
Bottomline is - Do whatever profits you the most.

The true is that not all investors are true long term holders, some hold for just the four year circle and hope to sell off while another set sell at every given interval that's warrants profits to their holdings well this set of person are classed as short term trader's and we now have the true investors that actually hodl Bitcoin for a really long time  and this category or type of investors are even rare because I believe to achieve this one must be disciplined and have self control to not be tempted to sell off when the Bitcoin price is high. I believe some Bitcoin HODLers are still HODLing their coins even from the early days till date and those types of investors are the true holders.

Well, we can't control them if they don't do long-term holding, and it is part of the bitcoin cycle. Someone needs to do short-term holdings in order for the bitcoin price to move, and the proof of that is that bitcoin is volatile, because every transaction in the bitcoin market can affect the price movement. But yeah, because of the many bitcoin holders that do long-term trading, the bitcoin price stays at the top and is stable. Also, that is that bitcoin is volatile, because every transaction in the bitcoin market can affect the price movement. But yeah, because of the many bitcoin holders that do long-term trading, the bitcoin price stays at the top and is stable. Also, it's true that long-term holding is much more efficient so that a holder can maximise the potential profit. And also holders should not exit early in the market just because theu caught in any FOMO.

But does everyone have the knowledge when BTC will rise or fall? Since this matter is not known to everyone, I think Bitcoin holding is good for everyone. If an investor does DCA from 2020 then he would not lose much. There are many investors who buy bitcoins to hold and then sell them again for whatever reason. But everyone who did Bitcoin DCA is profiting today. Also, I think those who do DCA benefit more than a trader because they get the opportunity to buy from the deepest dips. From 20K now their bitcoin 70K, his profit has increased almost to a great extent. Above all I think that not everyone can profit from the volatility of Bitcoin it requires the right knowledge and experience but a holder without that knowledge and experience can make a good fortune by holding Bitcoin.

What you are saying it totally makes sense on paper, the problem is that nobody ever know when we are either at the bottom or at the top. There are plenty of people who sold all their bitcoins when we were just at the beginning of the bull run just like there are many people who waited to buy because they expected the price to go lower and lower and then they lost the occasion.

Well investors won't be requiring that much time than with those who do Day trade. Bottomline here is efficiency; of course in day trading, there is a higher profit potential because the market prices are volatile. You just could make money in every pump and dump however, would you be able to do it consistently? You'd only win 4 on 10 trades (just a speculation).

I made this comparison 'coz I've been trading Bitcoin for the last 5 years. Also, I have no memories of Bitcoin falling to $5k in 2020. But going back, a friend of mine who just buys and sells on bull and bear seasons, is making a bigger profit than me and my conclusion is efficiency in trading. You won't win most of the time because the market is unpredictable in its nature.

Many investment firms can build potential wealth by investing more during periods of BTC price appreciation.

A wise investor won’t invest during the time of BTC appreciation but will have to wait to invest during the time of its depreciation. This is just a smart concept that every investor can use for their business holdings in the real world obtainable assets by investors. No one is buying to lose, so they’ll look for a good entry time to consolidate what they’ll buy to keep for the long run.The time of appreciation is always the time for smiles to come back to the faces of all investors and not to encourage them to add more coin (FOMO), especially for those that are mostly buying at dips.

The reality people who buy Bitcoin at the dip and sell during bullish is better than DCA and holding.

DCA and Hodling still have their own advantages that cannot be ignored. Not everyone can be financially buoyant to buy at the Dip but many would have been willing to pay some money timely to buy some bitcoins and hold it for a very long time to come to benefit from the investment. It is much advisable to buy at the dip but if you can’t afford it, stick to a DCA plan that’ll benefit you for years to come.

With DCA, you invest your money with time and you don't care about dips. This gives you some advantage and biggest one is no headache to wait for dips, find bottoms and so on.

Because one market cycle usually lasts four years with about 2 years of bear market, you will have a lot of time to buy dips in 2 bearish years. If you see your investment strategy like this, you actually buy dips with DCA strategy in bear market.

By DCA, sometimes you will fortunately buy at exact dips but even you buy without exact dips as your entries, you will still be able to average your entry price to low enough and certainly will never have your entry price at ATH or top area.

Many investors tend to withdraw their investments during bullish periods, but the diversity of investors in bitcoin is remarkable. But now that the high price trend is withdrawing some amount of bitcoin, how can the decision to fix the purchase target during the next bearish season? Although I would mostly not make a sell decision and wait until the high price of $100k or so. Investing in bitcoin can provide a lot of psychological peace of mind which is not the case with any other investment.

A person that would like to obtain that kind of success as a trader will need to make trading their main occupation, and very few people have the capital already to do this, besides even if the profits can be higher for traders, the risks they have to take are many times higher as well.

This explains why there are so few successful traders out there, while successful investors are way more common, as often what you need are not some specialized skills, instead what you need is to be patient and hold your coins even when the price is going down.

In the same way, you can pay attention to the fact that many Bitcoin holders at this time also expect profits and do not sell Bitcoins, which suggests that anyone who correctly understands the value of investing in Bitcoin will always win.

What do you mean by a period of BTC price appreciation, is that mean a bearish trend, well we call it the accumulation phase which comes after the bull season, in the bearish cycle.
Isn’t bitcoin price appreciation during a bull run? Because that is when bitcoin’s value most appreciated? If bitcoin’s price was down then it wouldn’t have much investors as they will be thinking that bitcoin isn’t valuable enough to invest in.

You are right though that most investors accumulate bitcoin during the bearish season where the price is significantly down.

You should definitely choose holding because if you analyze the price chart of BTC for the past few months you can clearly understand that the bullish period is going on now and it is expected to touch $100k within this year. However, no one guarantees you a price increase. However, if you have disposable income and floating cash, it is advisable to continue your holdings. It is recommended that you continue to focus more on increasing your stash while accumulating more Bitcoins using the DCA method.

A long term accumulation process of 4-10 years can earn you multiples and the decision to sell BTC at this time can be a source of regret later, so HOLD Bitcoin.

As an example, in addition to the OP's post, this company is MicroStrategy; they have the largest amount of bitcoins of any country in the world, which is worth $14 billion . In the same way, you can pay attention to the fact that many Bitcoin holders at this time also expect profits and do not sell Bitcoins, which suggests that anyone who correctly understands the value of investing in Bitcoin will always win.
As of last February-24, Galaxy Digital also holding approximately $913 million worth and Tesla holding approximately $547 million worth BTC and are constantly increasing their stash by value. El Salvador's president Nayib Bukele also continues to hold BTC with that country's holdings currently worth at roughly $354 million.

Also many more institutions feel more comfortable to continue holding because they know that the price of BTC is likely to skyrocket in the future.

Please correct me any mistake you think.

Buying at the dip is the best but now that DCA is gaining a popularity in investing, many people don't wait for it to happen before they start buying. I think the same goes with the traders because the goal of trading is to take advantage of the volatility and here in crypto, there are now tons of coins and traders can always seek for the ones that are volatile if the other is currently experiencing a stability.

Buying at the dip is already an example of proper execution and we already did analysis for us to know that it will occur but we must also make another analysis and that is to know if the coin is legit or not, and if it has a good potential or nah.

The bullish market it's always the season where people that hold bitcoin always rejoice and few very good about bitcoin at this season current we are unleash market and bitcoin is going to be hitting all time high and go more higher than expected, many people are predicting bitcoin hitting 100k but me I am telling myself that bitcoin will hit over 150k to 200k in this polish market because the rate of the pumping and the rate of what bitcoin this year is more higher than what you think it will be bitcoin is going to go high and it's more than what we.expected and I really like this season I hope everyone is ready you can still buy it's not late anyway but one thing I understand is that is already high you can wait for the next bullish market.

It is natural that every investor did not beat their investment by following their plan. Everyone buys from DIP and invests to sell at higher prices, and we can see that a lot of profit is possible from here. Holding is more important because when you invest BTC you must try to hold it for a long time. If you are holding then of course tend to hold it until the Bitcoin ATH you have no regrets in between but rather wait to sell at that point. As the value of Bitcoin, we can expect that the bull season will start next year when Bitcoin ATH will rise to the highest level. So nowadays most investors tend to invest and hold it and long term planning is best. I think it will definitely be profitable to invest deeply as the price of Bitcoin is going to be brighter in the future.

True. But for newcomers in crypto things are different investments comes with emotions until such time they learn the game that everyone does. In my early days with investing Bitcoin some years back when I see the trend moving against my positions I started to worry but as time passes by things became different since I can see changes on me and now I understand and learned a lot of lessons from my past mistakes and that is what makes me a better investor right now though just got small amounts but I wish to have a much decent capital for my goal.

Investing should be void of any kind of emotion.

If you let your emotions control you and run your decisions, there’s no doubt that you will just be making bad decisions. Emotions make you not see things clearly and objectively hence why it is highly discouraged that you let emotions get in the way of your investments.

Experience truly is the best teacher in life. We will not realize how to do things properly until we get impacted by the consequences of our mistakes. No shame in making mistakes as it is normal but what wouldn’t be normal is to keep repeating those same mistakes.

There is nothing wrong with someone buying an asset when the market dips and then selling it when the market is bullish even if the market manages to go higher than where they sell their assets because they have at least earned some profit on their investments, that's the main purpose and if it's achieved, it's all good.

Bitcoin in general is considered to be a long-term investment asset because it has a cyclical movement pattern where it tends to reach the peak at the end of the cycle and goes down at the beginning of a new cycle, and people know that if they hold, they can gain higher profits, but there is also nothing wrong in buying and selling multiple times during a full cycle.

Profit is profit is what's on their mind.

I know that many won't agree to that to sell but that's how you're going to profit. If you don't sell and you hold forever, there's nothing with it as well. To each his own on this market.

You'd miss the buying moment at the lowest? then buy it before it finally pushes to the peak. There are so many stories that we've seen in the past on how they regret it.

And soon, we'd see more stories from both sides again, those that didn't sold during the bull run and those that didn't bought during the dip or bear market.

People loves to buy when the price is down and sell when the price keeps going bullish. This is the pattern many people had been using to make money from the market which is cool and easy for people that have the fund. The price of Bitcoin is doing well now and the price has been going up and down which has been making more investors to sell their holdings because of the fear of price of Bitcoin falling. This is also an opportunity for us to buy take part in the bull because I know that it's not going to come now and there is still time for us to ride the market.

Those who understand the market just follow it up and make profit from it as if it's nothing both in bull and bearish seasons. This year's bull run, we don't know when it's going to happen, but there is too much speculation and expectation from both big and small investors, which I think they might not easily be moved this time by any small sell panic that could have affected the market. The bitcoin price is already suffering significantly, which I believe is the best time for people to buy and hold down for the long run.

My perspective on Bitcoin is that you can always make a profit within four years, regardless of the purchase price, even if you buy at the previous all-time high. If the market stops delivering on this expectation, it might signal that it's no longer a viable investment.

I don't think there's anything wrong with buying low and then selling high, that's literally where the money's at in most investment industries, and imagine if everyone just held their bitcoins for dear life, there will be a bubble that would literally implode upon the first dollar sold on this network. It's good that people are holding and I can't and won't disregard how important it is but so is buying and selling, these things are what keeps the wheels turning in the bitcoin network, if even one of these things go away we're fucked.

Even buying when the coin's at a high price point is just as important, it keeps the interest coming for the peeps on the network, makes them think that there is still a chance to make bank even if the price point is this high already (which they are).

I agree that short term that is done many times is a great way to make profit, but also it is harder work and it is not easy neither. We are talking about something that will take a while, and we should not really consider that as important. I think we should probably consider the situation to be sensitive because people may lose some money there, and I would not suggest that at all.

The best way to move forward would be just thinking that you are going to be doing fine, and if you can do that then the result will be quite good. I know that it will take a while, but that doesn't mean that we are going to make profit easily, the method is easy but the path is hard. So we should just let the situation run and see which one will be better.

If you're giving the opportunity to take small profit for 2-month investment or take a very huge profit for a 1-year investment which, would you prefer? Of course you will choose the big profit, and that is why people see the idea of selling Bitcoin when there is a short increase in the price of Bitcoin as a bad idea. Long term holders are buying every dip or as what most of us are doing here, DCA and make it your friend as this strategy is the best we got even for us regular and average joe traders. And with that, even at bullish phase ,we can continue to accumulate and currently the price is around $65k which is still a good buying price in my opinion.

Those who are selling early are short term traders or what we call speculators, just taking advantage of every dip but it entails that you have a lot of time in your hand to monitor the price and sell at the right time.

Short-term or long-term investment will depend on the conditions and preferences of each investor. Although short-term investors make small profits in 2 months, if they can repeat that many times in 1 year, do you think that profit is still small? Bitcoin is unpredictable, what if we don't have a bull season and now we enter a bear season, what will you gain as a long term investor? Meanwhile, short-term investors will have the opportunity to buy back bitcoin at a lower price and own more bitcoin than you.

Not everyone who invests long-term will earn better profits than short-term investments, profit is determined by each person's investment strategy, thinking and vision. Just because you can't make big profits in a short time and think that others are the same as you, don't impose your thoughts on others. In investing, taking profits is never wrong and we should respect the decisions of others.

From the explanation above, it seems to me that it is better to do both, namely short-term trading and long-term trading, so that that way we have long-term savings and earn daily income. In fact, what is more difficult is short-term trading, because it requires more patience and has a higher level of risk. Even short-term trading will produce large profits because it accumulates over time

I'm not saying that short-term is better than long-term, and I'm not denying that short-term investing is much riskier and more difficult. But as I said, it will depend on each person's preferences and choices, because each person will have different strengths and weaknesses and we need to choose the method that best suits us to bring the best results.

If you or someone else can combine the two and achieve the desired results, nothing could be better. To me, both are ways to profit in the markets and I don't hate either one. What I want to say is that people should make appropriate choices and we should not criticize others just because they don't make the same choices we do.

Some people see profit making in Bitcoin investment as a different thing from your own point of view, in terms of profit making in Bitcoin investment, both short term and long term investors make good decisions but the amount of profit that has been made is not considered rather the amount that is invested. You don't encourage some one who is new to the investment to go into long term investment in order to make more profit rather if such person can take profit from short term investment I think it's worth it since he will be more encouraged to buy more and HODL. It is the decision of the investor to either choose long term or short term investment but which ever one one finds to be more profitable I don't think they should be considered as hungry as you said if they are moved to sell to take profit in their investments.

Traders and investors will carry out their own effective methods in every cycle in different ways, because traders prioritize short-term strategies to achieve profits with the targets they want. Meanwhile, investors will usually focus more on long-term duration with the target of bigger profits because the investor's job itself is not just focused on one thing. But more for many sectors in order to achieve maximum profits within the duration of the market cycle, as has happened to Bitcoin in previous cycles.

Trading and investing are different so traders and investors must use different methods but there are things they will cross each other. Trading or investing, they must know fundamentals of that asset that need to be good. Trading a bad cryptocurrency contains more risk than trading a good cryptocurrency because there will less risk of bankruptcy, rug pull.

From common fundamentals, they will separate with each other to two directions for trading and investment. It's where they start to use different methods for trading and investing and build up their plans for short term trading and long term investing.

They need to have good investment plan to continue their DCA when market turns to bearish, correct or draw down. If they don't have money, nothing to do with the market or DCA.

If they don't have money source for emergency, they will have situations when they can not DCA even they really want to. Can not DCA more and even have to sell their bitcoins when they don't want to.

The risk in trading is higher than that of holding and so as the profit if managed by an experienced trader. But there are times were even the market charts form a new trend entirely different from that of your vocabulary, whales can also make a turn in the market by buying or selling in large quantity. However in times like this the trader usually runs into loss if he made his prediction from his perspective. But if you're a long term holding, you have nothing to worry about because bulls, and dip would come but we'll be having more of the bull, as the demand increases, so would the price also increase.

It is really simple to detect the price movements of Bitcoin when you check it's past historical journey. You will find it very easy to know when it fell and when it went up.but judging from the current market price is not always the same as to know when a certain move was over to join the beginning of the next big move. So in my opinion DCA will make a better investment strategy and maybe taking the opportunities in buying significant dips and holding for specified length of time.

It's not that easy. Many people thought they were great traders, but they happened to trade on:
Mt. Gox
BTC-e
Quadriga
FTX
I could go on, but many people won't even know smaller exchanges that disappeared with people's money.

Then there are other issues.
Even good traders sometimes make mistakes and mistakes cost you a lot of money. You can make a few great trades over the years and then a bad one and all your profits are gone.
You can lose the account somehow, get hacked...
As a holder I don't pay any taxes, but if I were a trader I'd have to do it every year.

We all have our plans for bitcoin and my plan is to hold. I've seen many of my friends try trading and do well for a couple years and then get destroyed by a black swan event like Terra Luna or FTX.

Decisions! vary from individual to another, so assuming that we all do the same results in terribly bad for any asset.

In the case of bitcoin the main argument is hodl, but that does not mean that in this case the idea is transferred to a community decision, but rather to an idea of a group of holders, fortunately this is the case, hence sell-buy is essential for bitcoin to exist, and then the hodl makes sense.

You don't have to be surprised that those of us that have large holding and want to quickly make money from the market wants the price of Bitcoin to quickly go up especially hitting 100K so that they can make a lot of money while those that have the intention to make money are looking for the best time to buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies so that they can start making money from the market from the dip they bought.

That’s one means to invest and get some good results only if you know how. This though comes with a degree of risk as, you only get to do these on CEX which means, you get to have most of your portfolio there which is highly advised against. Having all your coins and I mean Bitcoins on CEX is you have to loss custody of those Bitcoins to the exchange. You might have access to it from time to time but, that’s based on their terms and in the days that the CEX exists.

Again, the risk of having to transfer Bitcoin often makes this rather a risky thing to do. That’s because, in the event of a wrong address or obvious phishing, you could become a victim easily and the irreversible nature of Bitcoin transaction once it begins confirmation is sure to take effects.

The tiring thing with this people is that people are even more afraid to buy Bitcoin by the time the price goes down and I asked why do you want Bitcoin to go down that bad when you are not ready to buy or even have the means to buy it because it is not making any sense for people to call for Bitcoin dump or maybe they are psychopath who don't see good thing in Bitcoin growth.

I'm not sure if Bitcoin is going to dump that much if we see a bear market in the coming months because I see that Trump has Bitcoin a crypto man which means that he has change his idea about Bitcoin, I hope that is not for election strategy to gather vote though and because we now have institutional investors here like the ETFs and the rest, this people are big players in other financial markets and knows how to control damage, they wouldn't sit and watch their investment of billions of dollars wash down by some manipulations.
