 Do parents treat some children that way because they never wanted children or because they just don't like that child? What could make a parent seem not to like their child? Just curious. Unwanted pregnancy?

This seems really sad as if it would have been better if they just did not have the child. The child would have been so traumatized growing up in a household without proper love and care. It makes me incredibly sad for kids who grow up like this but I feel extremely lucky to have parents who supported me in all paths I wanted to take.

You're extremely lucky. Some of us never had the luxury of feeling loved growing up.

Every mother who sends her children to a public school f@#$ing hates her children. Sending your children to public schools is child abuse that needs to be punished SEVERELY!!! HAVE NO MERCY ON EVIL PARENTS SENDING THEIR CHILDREN TO EVIL PUBLIC SCHOOLS!!!

Lots of parents hate their children mainly for t be fact that either those children or child which ever it may be cost them their dreams or made them unable to attain their desired heights that’s one reason parents can use to hate their kids.

Because they gave birth to unwanted children, or found out about the pregnancy late, or they themselves are not ready to have children and there are a lot of such parents now. They walk the streets with strollers with sad faces. Someone for the money. You can't breed poverty!

that’s true and sad because it wasn’t like it was the children’s choice to be born especially with that kind of parents. the parents should have been responsible enough to know when to have or not to have kids. that is on them and they should instead hate themselves for ruining their lives

Yes many parents do hates their children due to the actitude of the kids or disagreement between the children and parents many even go to the extent of killing their children due to the disagreement, children in the other hands two kill their parents due to this same disagreement,so is vice visa.things are really happening in this generation,what about parents who use their children for ritual,maybe in the process the child is also high in spirit and the father want to use him or her due to his spiritual upliftment his father wises couldn't suceed hatred sets in ,same thing also can still happen to the other hand so hatred must be in human exestance.

All parents hate their children almost as much as they hate themselves. Why do you think they have not paid me to implement a protocol that would make biological laboratories much more secure and accountable? And since they have not paid me, I will not do a damn thing to make the biological laboratories secure. Most of those parents has Mental issues that either does not diagnosed or they are denying that reality .

because where in the world that a Woman who release a child from their womb will not love that baby? even if this is a fruit of Raping or other criminal act yet that child has nothing to do with that so they must be loved and cared .

there is .. specially in depressed area and in low life community .

Well I do not think my parents did hate me when I was born. But I do think it was a inconvenience for them because of money and their living cost.

But I do think there is parents that hate their children. If they do not want kids but then have them like my parents. It can be hard for the child to know this about his parents. But they bring us in the world they should love us.

I don't understand, you hate children - why give birth? Some parents cannot have children because of their health, they suffer, and some give birth and breed poverty.

Keep on thinking that way until we have another 5 pandemics. And after those pandemics, you and all your acquaintances will be too f@#%ed up to do anything at all.

It does't matter whether you wanted that child or not, if he/she is with you, you must do whatever you can to make the child happy. If you try to find excuses for your bad treatment of your child, it not only says that you are a bad parent, it says that you are a bad person.

This is exactly what I'm telling a friend of mine the moment I saw the topic. There's this woman after having four kids  promised herself  not to conceive again but accidentally she took in and delivered the fifth baby. After delivering the bad treatment showed to the child was so obvious that her neighboring friends has to call her to order. Taking care of a child or making the child happy has nothing to do with whether you wanted the child or not, so long as the child is with them.. it's their sole responsibility to take good care of the child and also make him happy. Parents has no excuses for treating their child bad, unless they are just being naturally wicked

It doesn't matter whether a couple is ready to have children or not, when a child is born, parental instinct will make the parents especially the mother to accept the child. I think that it's very rare for parents to hate their child, unless the child gives them a very good reason to hate him or her, especially through the child's character. It is wickedness for any parent to hate or abandon their child because children are innocent and it's the duty of the parents to love and care for them, if for any reason that they can not there physically for the child, they are obligated to send money for the upkeep of their child which is their responsibility.

As a parent, I can tell you that there's no such thing as a fixed 'child's character.' A child's character can change many times throughout their childhood. It is the parents' responsibility to help their child develop a good character, and this is achieved through love and care.
