 Both the Bull and Bear Market are very important in the world of cryptocurrency, I recently learnt that for one to thrive in the market, you got to love both markets. Though they're both very important but different people got their most preferred/favourable market, those who don't have much in their portfolio and are yet to accumulate more love the bear market and constantly hope it occurs so they'll see an opportunity to accumulate as much as possible.
 Well, that doesn't imply to those set of people alone cause whales still accumulate more in the bear market despite having more than enough in their portfolio, however their are others who pray for the bull market so they'll take profits, mostly those who invest on Alts, Memecoins or shitcoins, so what I understand is that the bear market is very important because it gives every class of investors an opportuniy to accumulate as much as possible while the Bull market is mostly important for those who wants to take profits, so that got me curious to know which people in this forum really like, is it the Bull or Bear market?

You have explained the reason some people will like bull market and also the reason some people may like bear market. Someone that missed the bull market will want the price of the coins to fall again so he can invest while people that have invested money will expect the price of the coins to increase. That is just like, people will not think the same ways. They think about what will favour them. Also some people that invested during bull market can take their profit and expect bear market.

During a bull market, people and investors generally feel more optimistic and upbeat. It's as if there are no limits - confidence is high and everything seems to be going up. Prices are rising, and this positive energy can be contagious. During a Bear, people are more scared, and dont spent their money and in general is a less happy time. So I prefer a bull market :D

Everybody in the forum has his or her own interest, good a thing you've highlighted the difference interest every investor has, it goes to show that we all cannot be thinking the same thing at the same time, while some people are waiting for the bull run for them to cash out the profit they made, others are for the waiting for the bear market  to start so they can start accumulating as much as they can, so as the bull market has its own advantage so does the bear market has its own advantage.

However one of the most important things that should be considered is the fact that everybody is investing to make gain at the end of the day, so investors will want to choose the bull run as their most preferable time because that is when their investment is yielding profit.

In a word everyone prefers bull market but I think if a person is a cryptocurrency expert then he must like both bull market and bear market. The reason being myself, the bear market starts as the current bear market has many good coins that have come in around 50% to 60 percent down and is the perfect time to invest. Only those who are professional traders can use this time. They always run according to their research though sometimes it takes a while to recharge which is normal anyway. I think that in bear market projects which are very good and should be retired from those projects should be invested and in bull market it is possible to make great profit. In a word, both bull market and bear market should be preferred.

I love Bull markets. Because whatever price I accumulate, I will see my portfolio continue to grow. And I can take gradual profits while slowly re-entering each time a correction occurs. because even in a bull market, corrections always occur. It's just that there are more ups than downs. but if I was in a position of not holding anything then maybe I would be happier with a bear market. it's just that I still don't like it that much. Because we never know at what price the decline will stop. And sometimes we feel we have bought at the lowest price but it turns out the price continues to fall further and makes our assets decrease by tens of percent. So in conclusion I chose the bull market.

You are right and I also believe that Bull and Bear markets are important when your long term goal is to achieve financial freedom and transform future of your financial life. Bear market is a golden opportunity to accumulate precious digital assets, in particular Bitcoin on every significant dip. In bull market it is important to explore top/double top and try to book gains accumulated overtime. This is how I execute my plan by using various strategies including Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) to maximize profit.

I like both Bull and Bear market at the same time because if Bull market comes, I can sells some amount to take the profit. Then, I will wait for the Bear market to buy back the coin and wait for the bull market comes. If they want to invest in Altcoin, Meme coins, or shitcoins, they must really carefully because no guarantee they can make a profit and they don't know which coin that will rise.

This time, many people hope they can see the bull market because they think the bear market is over. We don't know yet as the price is not show the real sign. We should like Bull and Bear because that will make us to survive and know when we can enter to the market after we analyze it.

Investors who cannot invest during a bull market wait for a bear market.  Because a bear market is essentially investing in a bull market to time it. Therefore, both bull market and bear market are loved by individuals. Investing during a bear market will definitely want to sell in a bull market.

Of course, the bull market is the end point we aim for.

Both are important to me. During a bear cycle, I can lower the average buying price. And during a bull cycle, I can book my profit. So both are important.

I don't think any investment asset can only have one cycle without the other one. That's the very basic nature of the market. It is applicable to both cryptocurrency and traditional markets. But yes, if a person did not accumulate much, me prefer bear market over the Bull.

it all depends on the stage you are as someone that's in the Bitcoin ecosystem. If you don't have much holding and don't have the resource  to Buying during the bear market, your emotion wouldn't get affected during the bear. If you've also planned to sell at a certain time and the market goes bear at that same time which means that you have to wait until the market recovers, you're certainly not going to be happy during the bear seasons. The people that are mostly happy during the bear market are those with reserve funds that are hoping on buying extra coin during the bear market. As for what happens during the bull, it's always exciting to know that Bitcoin is gaining and even though if you're doing DCA and have to buy at that price that you will eventually buy at an higher price, it's still rewarding and comforting to see Bitcoin price going upwards during the bull.

For preference purpose, I will rather prefer to experience more of bull and less of bear.

Both season have their advantage and disadvantages. The bear season is an opportunity to buy at a very low price. It is a time to accumulate as much coin as possible. The challenge of this period is that selling might lead to losses. The bull run is a good time to sell and make a profit. But at this period, the price of Bitcoin might be too high for low-income earners to buy. The Bitcoin cycle is just perfect because there is always a time to buy and sell, so I am comfortable with the two markets.

Both the bull and the bear market cap events are favorable to all Investors, it all depends on your gearing expectations of moving forward if you either want to buy and accumulate more, then we anticipated more for the bear and if we have accumulated as much we could afford, then we could anticipate for the bull. Just as said, they are both times favourable on the run of Investing in the crypto market.

There has always been an encouragement reminder by the experienced investors to the newbies that... You either not wait for the bear before you could buy/accumulate your Bitcoin and hodl because you want to make profits when the market price rises, but you can always make it a god time if you buys at high market price if only being aware that Bitcoin price rises never ends so hence you buys at high price and hold, you would be opportuned for your assets to experience higher increase along the run.
That is why Investors are expected to seize panics and be patient for fortunate future event.

The both market compliments each other, as an investor you can't love one and hate the other, you have to appreciate the both markets. It all depends on the status or the state that the investor finds it's self. If the investor is still at the accumulation stage, he is definitely going to fancy more of the bearish market than the bullish. So every investors that's still at the accumulation stage would naturally want the Bullish market to linger further. But the moment the investor has finished with his or her accumulating stages, he will naturally prefer everyday green candles. I think these are just the natural traits of investors all over. You won't find any investor that's still accumulating that will wish for the Bullish market yet, same thing goes to the ones that have finished accumulating, they won't fancy the bearish market and I'm not immune to that too.

The crypto market of course has different phases between Bull and Bear but ultimately our goal is for a bull market.

Actually we can make the best use of both during bearish times it is true that people will collect as many coins as possible so that when it is bullish they can get a big profit.

When traders are also in a bearish state they will utilize short-term trading to make profits.

If we have accumulated longer and we have not sold in a bull market then just wait, sometimes there are times when there is a decline like now there is always a little panic because they are afraid that the price will drop especially if they always buy at high prices.

But rest assured that you can make good use of it especially if you already know the history of the crypto market.

You are in bitcoin accumulation then bearish market is what you will like because you will buy more in each session, yeah we know when the market is high then accumulation session is the little we get because we know the price is going up.

Bullish or bearish will still complement as others say, maybe you like bearish but other people who have a lot of assets will not be happy with this situation, but bullish will be your profit target after having a lot of portfolios.

Rest assured, most of us are mostly bullish want it to continue, the fact is the market will not be like that there will always be ups and downs, it's just a matter of how you do it when bearish, do you continue to buy or is there fear?

I get why folks love both bull and bear markets.  Sure, the bull is exciting - watching your accounts grow, riding high on market optimism. But no doubt, bears breed bargains - time to scoop up deals when everyone else panics. 

Me? I lean bullish.  But Im no fair-weather investor - to play long-term you better embrace the cycles.  That means taking profits when markets peak, building cash to grab the discounts when they crater.  Mix conviction with flexibility - thats how you endure and thrive no matter what the headlines.

Way I figure, neither animals inherently good or bad.  Their yin-yang dance shapes opportunities.  See, in the bull accumulation looks risky.  But when blood runs in the streets, the bears gift visionaries who did their homework.  Same vice versa - bulls let profit-takers cash out. 

Well, I love both bull market and the bear market. Does that mean that I'm thriving then. :D I don't end up at a loss and I'm not panicking at all so I guess it's good to say that I thrived currently because I make decisions based on my strategy that I'm currently using.

Who cares if whales accumulate during the bear market even more? When we are in a bear market, everybody can buy every coin that they want to. Whales or not, everyone has the opportunity to buy at that time. The problem is that, there are some investors who are panicking when the bear market happens hence, they sell their tokens at a loss thinking that their losses would balloon if they will hold it. As for what the forum is like, I don't think that there's anybody here who only loves one of them because most including me loves both of them. I mean there's an opportunity for both bull and bear market after all. In a bear market, you buy. In a bull market, you sell your holdings.

If I would go pick one, I'd go with the bull because seeing your portfolio doubling or tripling is just satisfying if you're an investor. You will feel that the patience of holding those assets is finally be rewarded. Bear market is good as well because it gives us opportunity to buy more tokens and hold it for a long time. :)

And meanwhile if you ask me, I like both market conditions, between Bullish and Bearish, Bearish to buy and Bullish to sell, it's that simple, although it's a common phrase that everyone must know with those who express it in a convoluted way to meet the eligibility of the payment. LOL

We may have different preferences between bullish and bearish market but what we fail to understand is that we can never witness a bearish market without a bullish market first or the vice versa. These two should never be separated because they come in the market to compliment with each other. Without bearish or a bullish market, the market itself will never experience a complete cycle which brought us some fears and panicking, and at the same time excitement and happiness.

You've already indirectly answered yourself by saying that (there are some investors who are panicking when the bear market happens hence, they sell their tokens at a loss thinking that their losses would balloon if they will hold it) so that alone should tell you that their are still some newbies here that would still panic sell despite coming across threads about holding.
 What I understand is that holding is a personal decision and it requires self control and discipline, it doesn't really matter whether the investor is a newbie or not some investors are easily influenced by market volatility and would rush to sell over any drop in the market.
 Well, I've seen that majority loves the bull season cause to be honest everyone loves to see the coins they're holding in their portfolio add lots in value and at that point the best step after reaping what you've sowed is to take profits and wait for another good entry to accumulate more.

Unless you are thinking today I have all the Bitcoin I will ever need why are you wanting the price to rise.   People who buy and own their dream home then dont mind the price rising as they might sell in retirement maybe but anyone who still wants to buy some BTC should be hoping for some bearish movement in BTC.

Back in the spring I was hoping for a sensible pullback, it needs to happen even if people didnt want it.  Mostly it helps to involve more people, a price that jumps up over night does not involve everyone and it has to be taken as unstable.   BTC already has giant volatility to it, so this whole process of back and forth is a requirement and a positive.   Even if the price lowers, be glad some are buying and its a good thing longer term.

I like both bull and bear market, and I effectively utilize both market conditions. During bull market I often rely much on day trading or swing trading but when bear market starts then I give more priority to investing so I can get better results in long time. For me bull market has been quite useful as it's my daily driver and I enjoy it but similarly bear market is also quite good.

This is clear on its own and Shouldn’t even have been a question, Everyone loves the bull season and only a few loves the bearish season and even those who love the bearish season do not want it to last long. The bull season presents many things like it is season in which even new projects are developed or the advocacy of bitcoin and cryptocurrency is easy to pass on and it is a period appreciated by all, but a bearish season is only appreciated by the experience investors and even then it is the ones with more funds to buy that appreciate it.

Ironically you cannot love one and detest one, the best thing is to learn how to live between the two seasons and see when to take full advantage of each season.

If you have good grasp in this market, you can take advantage of both seasons. During bear season, you can accumulate valuable coins, which has good potential of increasing its value when bull season comes. As no one can predict when will such period happen, you are just gauging your options which will best give you the profitability when you decide to sell-off.

If you are long enough on this market, you already know what to do. At the end of the day, remember, it is your decision to take part in this market. So one is to blame if your targets are missing. But if you are winning, definitely, you will reap the rewards.

As a trader, I really don't mind if we are in a bull or bear market because you can make profits even if it's a bear market.
We can't ignore the bear market, it's part of the cycle of the market.

This is the biggest challenge for every traders that they must become flexible in any market condition, bear or bull because it will help you to become profitable trader and will help you to preserve your capital, it's not always a bull market and not always a bear market.

both works wonder if you are seasoned trader, in bullrun cycle, at least the early phase, you can open long position and profit literally off anything, if there's sudden retracement, just reopen long position and you will instantly make money, it's really easy to trade and invest in early phase of bullrun.

but if we are in bearish anyway, we can just short any coin that's near their ATH and make profit off it, big fat chance it will create new all time low for most of the new altcoins and getting 10x is easy, it's always riding trend that works best.

anyway if we are in late stage of bearish when the price action showing signs of breakout, we need to start accumulating.

Bull market means we can take profit but that will only if we have the coin that increase. If you don't have that coin, you will not get the profit and wait for your turn to take profit. While Bear market means we can buy many potential coins that we predict will increase in the next bull market. But with many coins list in the market will make us confuse to choose because every coin will have their chance to increase so that will make us to be careful to analyze and choose the coin.

Both Bull and Bear market will give benefit to us if we can use it properly. That is why we must learn how to analyze with right so we can determine which coin that we could buy and which coin that we can give more portion. In this matter, Bitcoin will deserve to buy more while the price is at the low price.

Well we do like the 'bear market' it does give us a time to buy some cheap coins. Buying the dip is a thing that I do look forward to having chance to do.
The 'bull market' is more exciting for us. It is when we are making some money and watching gains in our crypto portfolio. But if I do want to stack some cheap sats I will wait for the dip or a 'bear market'.

The most important thing in the world of trading and investing is favourable market conditions and not a Bull or a Bear market, both conditions are often greeted with some bad and good market conditions which eventually determine the earnings and experience of the trader/investor. However, if you are a trader, you do not need to have any preference, you get to make your money regardless of whether the market is selling or buying. But you can't say that of an investor, investors will always want a bull market because they actually purchase the asset, there is no earning when it falls in value but losses for them.

I agree with your take. An expert will appreciate both markets because they both are times to take advantage and make gain. Although some will prefer the bull season more because it's a period you get to experience high turnover rate for your investment. Imagine starting with $100 when price is at $54,784 and it shoots up to say $60k, you are making a huge profit but if price keeps going down from when you started investing, the zeal to purchase more won't be there.

As we all know the two phase of crypto market you mentioned are very significant and there is no way crypto enthusiasts won't like the two though because of the role both play in keeping cryptocurrency in the spotlight, the bear market is known to be the downtrend of bitcoin and cryptocurrency in genaeral and it is also said to be the best time to buy in lump sum since the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at this time is low it gives investors the opportunity to buy as much as they can but it is not actauliy the only time to buy exepcially for people that are using DCA method in buying, As an investor that use DCA method you buy at little consistently at all time without minding the price however it all depends on the person and what he or she wants because i understand people choose the buyimg strategy that favours them as such they shouldn't be questioned for that reason hence the decision is personal.

The Bull market is actually the uptrend of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, it is the profitable season when people that has enough Bitcoin in their portfolio will experience the profit from the investment they have been involved in, it is also an excitement period depending on the amount and individual has accumulated so far, in conclusion both phase in the crypto market are very essential and they play pivotal role in keeping the cryptocurrency market intact.

Taking advantage of bearish market conditions to continue adding assets to invest in the future is quite effective and until now I have continued to do so because I believe in a much higher Bitcoin price in the future.
However, taking advantage of bullish markets for daily trading as you said I think is quite risky, it is better to implement a plan from the start if you want to get the targeted profit or free it up for long-term investment.

So far I am still happy to see bearish prices, I want to continue to add more to my assets by buying slowly as much as I can or when I have more money (I usually do it every week).
So I think it will be much better for the future.

 Both have important situations, and this should be the condition or circumstances of each that require, when the market is bearish they will continue to buy and of course what will be expected is a bull market, and the opposite situation will also be needed when the bull occurs they will want a little bear market that aims for them to collect it. they will continue to prioritize the bull market to maintain the profits that will be obtained once they have gone through a bear market that lasts long enough.

The people in this forum also have a similar mindset with investors and whales who already have more assets at this time, because the desire to see a bear market in a certain time is only expected by people who have not bought more assets or by those who want to increase their assets to a larger amount. So it is just the best hope for them even though they also do not expect it to happen in the long term because after buying certain assets in large quantities will also expect a greater increase in price in a fairly short time.

While people who hope for a bull market are people who have been patient for a long time with a number of assets that they already have and will not want to let go of those assets at a fairly low price. I don't think there's any bitcoin holder that prefers a bear market. Everybody that's holding bitcoin, be it for the short term or long term wants their bitcoin to grow so they can make more profit, that cannot happen in a bear market.
What people do during the bear market is take advantage of it. Since your investments are already dropping, why not accumulate more at a cheaper rate and stand to make more profit? There's a difference between liking something and taking advantage of it. If asked which they will prefer I'm sure every investor will prefer the bull season. After all, what's the point of investing if you can't make profit?

There are two types of crypto enthusiast, the trader and the investor. Traders make profit from every season of the market (they are in profit during bull and bear market) while invest make most of their profit during a bull market. Investors uses the bear season as an opportunity to accumulate a lot of different coins and tokens that they believe will earn them profit during bull season and after investing, they wait for the bull market to come. Traders looks for a good buy or sell position and they immediately enter the position when they see it to be favourable.

I do make profit from both market season.

The market cannot exist without bulls or bears and we cannot make profits if the market lacks either one, so I think what we want most depends on the moment. For example, if people have accumulated enough bitcoins in the bear market, the only thing they want now is a bull market to take profit. On the contrary, those who have not accumulated much bitcoin will not like the bulls coming at this time.

But most people are investing based on market cycles (4 years) so I believe most people are expecting a bull market more than ever. I don't think anyone is waiting for a bear market at this point.

Every market situation that appears, whether it is bull season or bear season, all has opportunities. 
 - Bull season is a time for selling
 - Bear season is a time for buying

If we are into investing bitcoin, we therefore know how to interact in the current situation. Besides, we can never assume that the market is always bearish or bullish. The situation has given us the opportunity, and I believe that is all that we wanted. We are very thankful that we have this volatility because of this, we make money from here.

The thing is though that one follows the other Bull → Bear → Bull and its with all markets
but most amplified in Bitcoin and Crypto. I dont have a preference but the unfortunate
thing is there are times I need to liquidate Bitcoin in a Bear market and times I wish I had
more FIAT to put in during a Bear market when buying the dips!

In normal sense is good for someone to understand the one that is bearish and the one that's bullrun, because sometimes some of the investors especially the new ones can't to differentiate them, but is good for someone to understand the both effects, but in normal norms both of the is advantageous in cryptocurrency marketing, theirs people who benefits during the bullrun and some people who benefits during bearish season, during bearish season many people like to invest in bitcoin against when the price will increase in the market, and bearish season always be a prayer to someone who wants to invest mage in bitcoin, because it expectations will be to invest when the price is low and sell when the price increases

Serial investors will prefer bear season as that's when they play their cards of accumulating from paper hands. This may not be so for those on the other side of the divide who've the mindset that crypto is a shortcut to riches. Anyway, cryptos isn't. It's just an industry with so much unpredictability seeking escape for expression. Many have been lucky to enjoy that but there's no certainty to it that every investment in cryptos should turn a winner.

For me, I like a blend of both bear and bull at their expected time. As it's right, no matter any level of dump the market takes right now I'm not perturbed because I know it's not the time for the bear. If anything, it should energize me to DCA on my favourite projects. So, both bear and bull are necessary. We shouldn't see one as an omen.

Bear market definitely works the best for me because it's the time when I can buy as much as I can. Bull period will happen anyways, there is no doubt in my mind that we are going to see a bull period, there is no reason to think that it will not happen so I have nothing to worry about and I am fine with it. What I think is the most important part is that I think it is going to be something that will take a while, we should consider this to be something that will take a while and we could probably make some money from it as well.

The reality is that we are going to see this growing differently and we could probably consider this as something that will be guaranteed. So bear market is the best time, I can wait for it to get better and I make as much money as I want to make during that time as well. The reality is that if we keep doing that, we should be doing fine and nobody should be worried, buy at bear and wait until bull and you profit easily.

 Agreed, the right assumption in choosing and seeing the situation that occurs in the market, People and Investors take advantage of the bearish season to continue buying, buying and buying to increase their assets with the right DCA and the right conditions, the bear season is very much liked by every investor because it has a fairly large opportunity in terms of Investment especially the long term.

And We also need the bull season to get back the benefits of the Investment results that have been passed during the Bearish season, both are indeed calculations that are very much needed and this situation will provide benefits in every season whatever happens.

You must know there should be uptrend and downtrend although it is in bull market. Your portfolio won't be always growing, sometimes it may be decreasing. However, it will be quite safe as long as Bitcoin doesn't reach its ATH or its peak price. But if it is in the last year of bullish season, you must be careful. It will be bad if you buy its peak price and the price keeps decreasing after achieving its peak. The safest way to accumulate Bitcoin is in the first year of bullrun season.

By the way, why you don't focus on accumulating in bearish season? Is it not enough to accumulate in bear market?

If you target for short term, this way can be quite effective. But again, it will be safe before Bitcoin reaches its peak. When Bitcoin reaches its peak, kindly changes your strategy.

You're right. Bearish season is the time for accumulating Bitcoin, bullish season is the best time for taking profits. If we have no bearish and bullish season, there will be no significant gap of the prices. Unfortunately, not everyone understands this, some people just invest in Bitcoin without understanding the seasons (cycles).

I like them both because they both have their benefits, there is no way I can say I love the bear market and then hate the bull market. Both of them need each other and that is how I love both of them. I can make use of each one to my advantages as I can buy more Bitcoin in the bear market and accumulate as many quantities that I can get and wait for the bull market to sell. Without the bear market, there is not going to be the bull market and the bull market needs to happen so we can sell to take profit and this causes the bear market to happen and this circle continuous in this way until when Bitcoin stop to exist. Liking only one part of the market means you do not understand the market yet because when you do, you will see how important the both sides of the market are.

Can always leverage the capital, I think 2-3x leverage is safe enough ;D, after all, we'd be hardly liquidated, it's rare occurence to see BTC going down even deeper when we are in bearish anyway so leverage does make a lot of sense if we long from the very bottom, I personally did this and couldn't be more grateful ;D.

but yeah nobody can control day to day market movement, so many people thinking they are different breed trying to bet on the daily price action ended up wrecked by the market.
market is always smarter than retailer heck sometime it's smarter than institutional investors with analyst made up of graduates from ivy league ;D, as an average joe, definitely we don't have the upperhand so always prevent ourselves from trading on daily chart.

It's simply, people who hold crypto prefers to see the bull, and people who hold cash prefer to see the bear.

But this doesn't really matter if you're futures players coz bull or bear will give you benefits.

Bull and Bear are parts of the market cycle. You can't get a definite answer about this. Everyone is in a different situation. For example, a crypto holder would prefer a bull market over a bear one, and vice versa.

Well, if someone masters the market then all conditions of the market can give that trader some profits. I personally try my best to accumulate only good and valuable coins during the bear market as those coins have very high chance of going up when bear market ends. Sometimes even in bear market those coins can give 10% to 40% profit without much worries.

I guess everyone knows that the best coin that one can accumulate during bear market is the one and only Bitcoin because once the bear market ends the Bitcoin keeps going up and sometimes it goes up and create new ATH. Other than Bitcoin, all those coins that were created in early times of crypto market and are still on top 10 list. Those coins can also give some profits.

I am also quite confused with OP's question because obviously we cannot make a profit if the market lacks bulls or bears. As a smart investor, what we should do is to come up with the right strategy in each stage of the market, not compare and choose 1 of 2.

Honestly this never crossed my mind, what I thought was how to buy the most BTC during the bear season and find a way to take profit during the bull season. We need to remember that our goal is profit and liking or hating one part of the market will not bring us profit. I love this market and everything about it.

Yeah, they coexist together and we make money from both of them, if you care about just one of them then you are lost and you can't make money. If it was just a bull run, how could it be always going up *How could a market just can go up all the time without ever going down* That wouldn't happen, and if it was all bear market than sometime in the future it would hit zero and can't go down anymore.

So in order to be a health market, we have to have both bear and bull markets together and that's how we move forward. Unfortunately not a lot of people realize that and because of that they make a mistake. The ones who prefer bull market are the people who do not understand how the market works, you can't just have bull market itself, you have to have the bear with the bull. It's fine to have both, our aim should be buying when it's bear and selling when it's bull and keep doing that forever, if we keep doing that correctly then we will make a lot of money for sure.

Cryptocurrency bull and bear markets complement each other. If there was no bear market then there would be no bull market and similarly there is a bull market which is why the bear market exists. If an investor wants to profit from a bull market, he has to accumulate in a bear market. Investors tendency should be created to hold in the bear market as much as possible. Profiting from a bullish market must be difficult for those who ignore the bearish market or get embarrassed during this period. Everyone who is a whale investor tries to buy any asset at a low price in a bearish market in order to be profitable in a bullish market. Especially those who are in the market to make a profit, give priority to the bearish market rather than the bullish and will easily catch the profit during the bullish period.

Not all investors need a bearish season because some of the investors have also bought earlier and are waiting for the bullish season to come at this time. Not just quite effective but it is super effective. Now about the bull, taking advantage can also mean that we will only sell for profits. For those who don't want yet, and those who don't have any coins to sell, they can still buy during it. This is not wrong because it can still be a part of the strategy called DCA. We've got to love both of these market seasons. Bear markets are essential for the market to get balanced, and that's also the window period for us to start buying. Totally depends on what kind of trader or investor you are on which on the time or moment that you do find yourself making money with an uptrend market then you would really be choosing this trend but if  you are someone who do really likes or wanting up to have that that kind of wanting bear market then it would really be also just depending on you on which this is the moment that the price is really that low and could make out some entry. If you are really that doing some futures trading then it would really be just that depending on you whether you would really be that going for long or short on which it will really be that basing up on the trend

Having something in your mind is ok, I do agree that both bull and bear are required to keep the market going and I believe that fully, but that doesn't mean that you can't like one more than the other.

I prefer the bear market period for example because I could get a lot more during that time, but that doesn't mean that I somehow hate bull period, of course I love that too, I know and am aware that we need both of them, so it is not really about anything like that, it's about the fact that I can see it growing to be better.

Actually all of us investors have a tendency to profit ie we like bullish season. It is not certain when the crypto currency market will have market dips and bulls. But as a small investor I love both bull and bear market situations. When these two situations occur in the market, we have different opportunities. I've been in the space for many years and I still like bull more than bear. Maybe it's because I no longer buy bitcoin. I used to do it years ago but for a few years I feel  like I have too much and don't want to be all in so much. Maybe I'm getting old? I'd like to live my life, spend some money, I feel like time is running out while I keep saving up. Don't get me wrong, I did great saving up and I still love bitcoin and want to hold it, but I'm no longer buying the dips and if we go into a bear market somewhere in 2026, I won't be buying. Like for I don't let the market conditions affect my accumulation, while there's bull market aslong is bitcoin I will still keep.my accumulation ongoing till have hit my target (accumulation goal ). In my case, I prefer the bull market, because in a bull market when the price is rising, it has had small drops, and in these small drops I can buy and when it rises I make more profit, because it is a bull market the risk of losses becomes smaller. In my opinion. for example, the price of bitcoin is currently at $62,000, it rises and breaks $74,000 and the bull market begins, then the price reaches $85,000 but then it falls to $78,000 and I buy, and then the price continues to rise, with each small drop in price I continue to buy.

But when we are in a bear market the situation is very bleak, for example the price is at $62,000 and drops to $52,000 and the person buys thinking it will go up, but the price drops to $40,000, the person buys again and the price drops to $28,000 and stays without going up for 3 years. I know that most people are buying to make a long-term hold. But it is important to consider the age of each person, for example a 50-year-old person cannot buy and hold for 10 years, it is very risky, the person may die without using bitcoin. so what's the point of having bitcoin without spending it?

That is basically me, and I never lost hope. I know I am not the only one, but to be fair I know the other side as well and people who do the opposite. I bought at 60k before, and bought at 40k as well, but I bought at 20k and 30k as well, my average was a bit more than 40k and I am still buying even at this price because I think the price will go up, so I am not worried about it at all.

I understand that it may feel like it is not a big deal but it's actually a great profit without a doubt. Ironically you will do better in a bear market because Im thinking of all the buying you could do.    To only buy into a bull market means greater risk and also less return in theory.   It is topsy turvey counter intuitive but also most probably true for most of us simply involved with BTC, you will get more BTC exchanged for your dollars when the price is lower and often we do stay irrationally lower then is correct long term.

Buying into a market that becomes over valued yet is very bullish is more dangerous, yet more people prefer to do this because of all the encouragement to buy.  It might also be a quicker result, with a 10k gain on the price in a week it can get people carried away.   Right now I would prefer the BTC price to go down till end of year so I can buy in, the biggest point here is you know BTC is good long term and with that knowledge you will profit.

bear market also gives much less risk for people who invest using leverage since we're already on the bottom of the price chart :D although it can further go down. but i'm sure price will hardly fall if we're already 80% down from ATH.

there's no foolproof way of investing despite market turning bearish and looks so oversold but the risk of buying in bear market always gives us the edge against people who bought at the ATH, when they are recovering, we already made few hundred percent or probably more from our initially invested capital.

I think that most of us are very bullish preference, because we faithfully believe what Bitcoin represents, but as far as I'm concerned this has two sides, that of market speculators and that of investors, obviously the only thing investors have to do is follow their investment, hold on all the time and only withdraw when they see benefits, but those who are traders know that they have to win even when the market goes down in price, in bitcoin I do want it to reach $100k this year, just to give the psychological + business blow, just for that, but it is somewhat difficult, however the rebound it has now is very good and can influence confidence, which for me is what can drive it to be more bullish, especially for December.

Yes, I mean it is not really that shocking to be bullish right now, we all know that it is going to be something that will take a while for it to happen and I think it's clear that we are going to end up with a good result eventually as well. Halving season is followed by bull period and that has happened all the time, so I do not think that it is that shocking to expect it to happen again, we all know that it will happen again so we should not be really shocked that much.

I feel like we are being too harsh on people who are doubting the increase, they just saw too much drop in the price to have that confidence right now and that's fine, some people could be like that and I understand it, we should just make sure that we understand their position but also keep holding as well.

that's true and it also a really important thing to remember for people who have open long position and already in profit in bullish market, previous bullrun i've seen many people got too much greedy not closing for profit and ended up going back to the beginning again.

Well you have actually said a lot and what you said is the actual fact, the bull season and the bear season is very much important to everyone, to those accumulating or to selling off, and taking profit.
But in my own opinion, and according to your question, I prefer the bear season than the bull season, reason is that, in as much as it's an accumulative season, I find joy trading a bearish market than a bullish market,
 because when I do trade, I mostly trade trends, and it's very easy for the market to collapse than the market rising, especially when trading alt and shit coin, so my decision of loving the bear season is based on my interest, but that doesn't mean I don't have a good stash of Bitcoin in my portfolio.

So I try to maximize my gains in both seasons, but where the gains are, mostly are as an investor, is the bear season, because the price you buy is what mostly determine how profitable you are going to be in the bull season .

Yes, it is a fact, what happens is that the cycles help us have at least a guide and an idea of ??what can happen, however now in the world many things are happening, and many fundamentals that can be very small and become something very big, then in this order of ideas things can be more difficult when it comes to doing things better, in every moment that we are living in BTC I know that it is an opportunity, whether as you say, the price goes up or down it will always represent an opportunity, because I am sure that in about 10-15 years the price will be very high Compared to now.

Without the bear market to accumulate Bitcoin you would not be making profits in the bull market. It is the decision we take in the beer market that determine how our bull market is going to look like. If we buy Bitcoin in time during the beer market, it does not matter that much when we sell in the bull market because will still be making profits. For people that bought Bitcoin at all time low, they will always be in profits when Bitcoin bull market gets to its maximum height. They can make profits at any price that they sell until it gets below the price they brought Bitcoin at therefore the profits are made technically during the bear market and not the bull market. You prefer the bull run but why look for a small drop to buy? Anyways, this should make us realize that we also need a bear market and not just the bull run. However, if I'm going to answer it in a more philosophical way, bull run must be better because we still can buy at highs and then sell at an even higher price because we are only talking about one direction here and that is, the price goes upwards continuously.

Back at you, when there is a bull run, the price can actually dump hard but it is a much better buying opportunity than the ones you want there which are small drops only. I think that's true but it also occurs in a bear market because many people tend to buy hard during it.

If it was Bitcoin, then a bear market is less risky since a lot of people are still buying it despite its price is dumping and this makes the price to recover easily. While in a BTC bull run, a lot of people are going to dump their coins for profits. As for the low-quality coins a.k.a shitcoins, bull market is less risky for them because they are only in for the hype. And if there is a bear market, this is also their clean-up time.

There is nothing wrong with people saying that both markets are important and they need both but clearly the bull market is what people desire and enjoy more. Personally I prefer bull market over bear market because as I said we will make profit easier no matter you are a holder or a trader.

I don't think that there's much comparison between bull run and bear run, both of them are at the extreme end of each other. Preference among the two can change for an investor depending on what will be more profitable for him at any of the seasons. If you've accumulated enough Bitcoin during the bear run then you'll be looking forward to the bull run and it'll be your preference. On the other hand if you have funds to invest and you're looking for opportunities to load your bags for massive ROI on the long term then bear run will become your preference. But among the two seasons the one that makes most investors to be happy is bull run because price will skyrock and it's a time to harvest ROI.

We're in the speculation section of the forum so answer should be the current market is ideal.  We bounced off the edges of a rectangle range for months now, you have multiple chances to buy low and then sell high and do ok while doing so.  By Bitcoin standards the range isnt that great but surely its enough opportunity to profit if you had wanted to.

My main objective is to accumulate rather then seek to sell especially and this market has been ok by that standard.  I dont feel like we've kept the highs very long, not too many people will have bought at 70k and are then disappointed as we approach 50k again.  It seems quite mixed for so long now, enough time for all types of buyers and sellers to get their orders filled as requested.

Because, both of them are part of the market world and we have to learn to live with both of them. There is no white without black and there is no good without bad. This is the same for the market, there is no bull without bear. We need to learn to live with both of them because the market only operates when we have both of them together, there is no preference, you can't like one of them and dislike the other.

I understand the most clearer answer would be "I like bull because I make money on bull period and lose money on bear period" but if you have just bull period, then it will always go up, without ever going down, so that wouldn't work. So, we need to like both of them and not have any issues ever, wouldn't be this much of a trouble at all. We need to learn to live with both of them together like I said. Bear isn't so bad, it gives you a chance to buy cheap, you may lose money on it and be sad if you sell, but if you buy then you will be happy that you will buy more later on as well.

The truth has always been that for a long term investor both market conditions are very important especially when one is till very early in accumulation where all the focus will only be to maximize increasing the quantity of Bitcoin he or she has by buying irrespective of the market condition. I do agree that up or down, we are going to have a chance and we need to take advantage of each movement. It doesn't matter if we are in a bull or bear market, someone who knows what they are doing on this market will know what to do in each case and that is why it is a good move either way. I know that it is going to take a while and I know that it is not going to be that easy to handle it all, but it is still not that impossible to figure out neither, it can be done one way or another, as long as we have the time for it.

I think the best way to approach this would be just focusing on how to get better results, and we can get great results in either bull or bear, it will both be something that we can use very well on and do very fine with.

For me i prefer the bull market because even when market prices increase within this periods but the value of your coins will also appreciate and give you the opportunity to take profits that's for a short term investor but for the bear market; regardless of the fact that it makes more investors to buy at a lesser price but the bear market is so boring because when investors have bought and are waiting for the price to increase but instead it either continues fall or it will just be experiencing slow volatility so the bull market is preferable because it's always a busy period for investors and that is how the market will become more interesting for traders and hodlers.

The shit thing for these billionaires or known personalities or investors or instutions who are really that trying to accumulate coins as much as they could on which it will really be that understandable that they will really be having that advantage since they do have the money on doing so. Its good that they are diving into this market already on which it could bring out that pump but to think off on the other way around that too much

accumulation on a single entity or company would really be leading out that kind of monopolization or simply they could make out those kind of potential manipulation since they do get a hold of a huge amount of coins

As for preference about on which market condition will really be that good then it will be depending into what kind of trader you are. There would really be those individuals who do prefer on holding for long term before they would really be that deciding on making up such sell. Yes, you are right if the market is bearish with a long enough time span, of course, very boring, because there is no chance at all to be able to grab something from the situation, other than just increasing the savings that we can possibly do. That is, if we have savings to be used., But if the season is bullish of course we can profit from the actions we take to sell from the price difference we buy thus generating a profit for ourselves.

I think it will be difficult for people to choose any of these markets because they both work together. Yes, in fact things when it comes to trading can look very positive when we have a Complete understanding, but sometimes we have to take a break, because the Market is sometimes very difficult to understand , sometimes because we think we can handle ourselves well with respect to trading we should not be confident , sometimes the market can surprise us for better or for worse , even so things will always work out if we can guarantee our own control of the money, for me that is very Important and thus we can handle ourselves well within the price actions whether it goes up or Down.

To be fair I do enjoy bear a bit, because it allows me to buy more during bear so I can profit during bull. I am not saying I have big preference, both are good and I like both of course, but bear is just a bit better because it means I can profit a lot with what I have and this is why I prefer it a bit more. With just bull, I won't have a place to enter properly, and just wait and hold, but with bear I can buy cheap bitcoins and other stuff and make money this way, which is why I prefer it.

For someone like me that hasn't accumulate to what I call a "decent amount", I always look forward to seeing a bearish market most times, so that I can accumulate more Bitcoin, and I assume that any other person who is in my shoes will say the same. Whenever the market is bearish, my DCA strategy tends to accumulates more fractions efficiently unlike when the market is very bullish. Sometimes when the market is bearish It's easier for me to meet my fractional target for the month (or at least get a fraction that is closer to my target), unlike when the entire month is bullish and my fractional accumulation isn't much.

I prefer bear markets when I have fiat to buy Bitcoin. And I prefer bull markets when I do not have fiat to buy Bitcoin. To me it is all a question of buying cheap and hodling because I know the price will keep going up and up and up.

Yes, what you say is true, bull markets and bear markets are very important and of course bull markets and bear markets will always exist in the crypto world and of course I personally am very happy with the existence of bear markets and bull markets. What you say is very true, there are always people who want a bearish market to continue as long as that person hasn't filled their basket full, but only if their basket is full will they want a bullish market to happen. I personally also like that because during a bear market it is the right time for me to gather BTC, but during a bull market it is of course the time to sell.

To give you an answer whether I like bull markets or bear markets, of course I choose both because after all both cycles are very necessary. but what is certain is that the happiest moment for me is when there is a bullish market because being able to make a profit and of course getting a profit is a very encouraging thing for sure.
