There are so many news about bitcoin and cryptocurrency but if you actually listen to many of this news, articles e.t.c you are meant to notice that they are most times not meant for beginners and I don’t blame anyone for that there are many consumers for such news and articles already. Using myself as an example I wasn’t really taught well about cryptocurrency and I know many too have this experience. Cryptocurrency was sold to me as an investment opportunity that was guaranteed to give me good returns on investment, but that is actually not true. It’s bad enough that many beginners are getting the wrong or half picture about cryptocurrency but as a beginner you should also help yourself out. The best way to learn is asking questions and this is not only about cryptocurrency. Many beginners failed to ask the basic questions that can at least set them up well You don’t need experience to ask questions like Edited I am using the list below as example 1. What could go wrong 2. Are there risks and if yes how can I secure myself 3. Is it legal 4. How can I find out more for myself 5 are there any scam stories and how can I prevent myself from having to experience it This and many more beginners questions can help you get a good starters knowledge about cryptocurrency and even if your guide isn’t doing their job this question can help you get the best information from them from the start before you start to develop yourself. So yes as a newbie or beginner you can ask those questions and I consider those questions to be like a security cover for the newbie or beginner that can help limit their exposure to threats that they aren't aware of. Are there risks and if yes how can I secure myself 3. Is it legal 4. How can I find out more for myself 5 are there any scam stories and how can I prevent myself from having to experience it --snip-- It's unclear to me if you are asking these questions, or if you're merely giving some kind of guidance (eventough which guidance you would be giving isn't clear to me) Just in case you're unclear about these questions yourself: 1) many things... Market fluctuations for one, especially if you invested more than you're able to lose and if you have weak hands... An other thing is getting robbed or losing (access to) your funds (in one way or another) 2) yes, there are risks... Against market fluctuations it's very hard to secure yourself. Against losing your funds a hardware wallet (or airgapped wallet), good opsec, and due diligence when spending usually go a long way. 3) maybe? Depends on where you live... I know in my country crypto currency's are perfectly legal. I think they are in most of the EU... In the US they're legal aswell, their new president even wanted to create a bitcoin reserve (at least, iirc that's what he promised). There used to be countrys where crypto currency's were illegal tough, i have no idear if this is still the case, but i would not be supprised. 4) the bitcoin wiki and bitcointalk are usually a good starting point... But read before you ask questions... People will usually be nice and answer anyways, but i usually prefer somebody that made an effort and tried to read up on a topic before they start asking questions. 5) look on this forum... There are hundreds... If something looks to good to be true, it usually is... Next to this: due diligence (vet anybody you send funds to, never share a seed phrase or private key, don't trust emails or forms that ask you to input sensitive data or connect your wallet), good opsec, and a hardware or airgapped wallet usually work pretty well... Also: if you don't trust a situation: ASK us before funding an address. Crypto is irreversible... If you send first and ask us later, there's usually no way of getting your money back Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: Joy_learns_crypto on April 11, 2025, 02:49:47 PM Quote It's unclear to me if you are asking these questions, or if you're merely giving some kind of guidance (eventough which guidance you would be giving isn't clear to me) No i am not asking the questions directly I am using it as an example but nevertheless it should be beneficial to other who may be looking forward to the answers Quote You can learn many things by yourself with Internet and searching. He also needs go tell you the risk in investing into bitcoin and not only the advantages of investing into bitcoin. This is where some of us go wrong by not dishing out the basic knowledge of bitcoin in full details.
Bitcoin is a long-term investment which should only be invested with your extra cash because it's not a get rich quick scheme. The worst of it all is when you are been introduced imto crypto by a trader. This is why we also need to DYOR and learn on your own. Using the search engine before asking questions as a newbie is important because many questions that newbies do ask, has been asked in the past. To start your journey in cryptocurrency with poor knowledge is fine but what is bad is starting with a poor mindset. With poor knowledge, you can learn on the process, just like most of did and are still learning but if you start with poor mindset such as wanting to catch the next Bitcoin wo that you can become rich overnight, you are doomed to experience heartbreak. Using myself as an example I wasn’t really taught well about cryptocurrency and I know many too have this experience. Cryptocurrency was sold to me as an investment opportunity that was guaranteed to give me good returns on investment, but that is actually not true. It would have been different for you if the had actually sold Bitcoin to you than the elaborate word cryptocurrency which covers various kinds of scams and shitcoins. With Bitcoin, you are better of because you will be building on something solid that will not disappear and deplete your money if you can only find a way of holding it for a couple of years. With shitcoins, you can be rich now and poor the next day if you happened to be entangled in pump and dump scheme. I'm advising beginners, it is always safer for them to focus more on Bitcoin. Apart from the above listed points, the main thing that cause beginners downfall in cryptocurrency is lack of proper information. Every beginner will work with what he is been thought, if along the way he notices something is wrong, then they look for other ways which why they fall for scam more often because most of them are convinced to join cryptocurrency to make quick money, if the lose money several times, they will now realize that there is something wrong and that’s when they realize that they need to learn more. The main thing is to learn first, and after getting all the knowledge they need, then they should start investing or practicing whatever they have learned from crypto; but they really need to learn about the basics and how it works generally. This (http://learnmeabitcoin.com) website is why I do recommend for beginners to learn the basics of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. What they do is go through the difficult route because there's no much information shared about Bitcoin then, and I joined this forum for such purpose, but in today's market there's enough information and the major drawback is that there's a lot of false information share which is the reason why it is important to ask most of your crypto related question on here. There are so many news about bitcoin and cryptocurrency but if you actually listen to many of this news, articles e.t.c you are meant to notice that they are most times not meant for beginners and I don’t blame anyone for that there are many consumers for such news and articles already. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: GeorgeJohn on April 11, 2025, 10:47:31 PM Do you why newbies doesn't ask such questions, it's because most people you seems as a newbies is not a newbie, they have already existed in this place for more than two years or three years and that's we are having difficulties of merit distribution or merit circulation likewise before, most new users we see today are owned by Legendary, Hero and Sr members, and that's why they don't ask questions randomly to know what they don't know
But since they have know everything and they're not bothered to ask questions, if you see a newbies account that has not been here already, you will know, even his thread looks different from people or users who is already existing in the forum, the thing is that so many people overlooked somethings, it's noticeable that one person is having up to five alts to milk the forum, so that's why people are not asking a question as a newbies. Sometimes new users asked a question like they know it all. So if we investigate it properly you will see that it's an alts account. Take few days to observe how things are done in the forum after your registration you don't need to start introducing yourself because that is not very necessary, you can get a reasonable question to ask from your little observation of what is happening here that only will show how well you have been doing since you got registered. There are so many questions you get get answers for yourself with the help of the Internet I think you shouldn't ask questions you can find out for yourself unless you don't clearly understand what you got from the Internet. Missed the opportunities and have taken a look at it and back and forgot almost everything they've learned or they have a path of starting all over again. Having learned about this forum, a person interested in Bitcoin does not need anything else at first. The only thing you need is reading. All your usual questions written in your post are so obvious and have been discussed a thousand times on this forum. He who seeks will always find! Saying that investments will not bring success will also be an incorrect conclusion for someone who does not understand what he is talking about. Your registration is in 2021, and it is strange to see some conclusions from you. Maybe you were not taught badly, but you studied badly. In a word, we can say that yes, asking questions is always relevant, but it is necessary to study the answers, of which users on this forum provide more than enough.

I totally agree with you on this. As a newbie, studying I believe should be the key to growth and self development. You came as to gather knowledge, therefore, observing the forum and to see how things are done is not only right but also very important. With that been done well, you can get a general overview of the rules and regulations of the forum, the do's and donts and few other beginners guide needed to avoid spam and plagerism. If all these been done properly, then few questions can be asked for more clearity if there are still few misunderstandings from what has been gathered during your tour round the forum in search of knowledge. And I must also add, when a newbie asks questions, he/she must also learn to go back to the thread to read replies giving back from experienced and high ranked members which will help the newbie immensely. I still root in for reading and studying, it will expose so many things to you in the forum which will reduce your questions and also shape your level of understanding positively and make you a more reasonable member of the forum.. The reason why many beginners are being fed with wrong information about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is because they feel relaxed and want to offered second hand information without putting their own effort to make personal research. Consequently, people take advantage to feed them with what they want to hear which is mostly the wrong narrative about bitcoin. Some of them where made to believe that bitcoin is a get rich quick investment while some believe it is a gambling. Every of these narrative can be easily dispute if they had taken time to ask questions on the right channel but they're quick to accept what others said without making effort to verify. Look, if you normally rely on people for information, you're likely to be mislead. Now, with AIs, even lazy people can ask AIs about Bitcoin and get enough good basic information about Bitcoin. Then they can do own search for more educational resources to learn about Bitcoin very easily and effectively.People who want to "get rich quick" with Bitcoin, but are super lazy to do own research about Bitcoin, are perfect targets of scammers and Ponzi operators. If they were scammed, they can not blame their losses on anyone else or on Bitcoin, because they refused many chances and resources for learning about Bitcoin and most common scam types in cryptocurrency market. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: Myleschetty on April 21, 2025, 10:49:45 AM Yes, being a beginner or newbies is not easy in the crypto space. A side from the battling indecision, poor knowledge, and poor experience. What most beginners battling with the most now is misinformation, and KOL selling their community for reward.
I hope we will have a means where misinformation and KOL abuse will be stopped. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: EluguHcman on April 21, 2025, 12:06:58 PM Being a beginner in anything is absolutely not easy and I speak from experience because you are battling a lot of things that includes indecision, poor knowledge, poor experience and so many other things. In place of this forum, I agree with you that there are newbies or beginners even after invested their funds on crypto they don't stay humble to learn or further to exploit their knowledge in the industry which they just recently ventured in.There are so many news about bitcoin and cryptocurrency but if you actually listen to many of this news, articles e.t.c you are meant to notice that they are most times not meant for beginners and I don’t blame anyone for that there are many consumers for such news and articles already. In other round, most of the identified newbies on this platform are highily experienced of Bitcoin before they can into the forum so, you don't expect them be in lines of the beginners when it gets to do with Bitcoin discussion while they may remain newbies in this platform at the meantime. It is just like there is a payout in claiming a high capacity of knowledgeable persons by some of the newbies. Meanwhile... there are experienced users out there whose interest of building their Bitcoin or crypto lives can not be played with, so they mind asking questions even when it sounds to be basic question that was meant for beginners on the race. The point is that... It is better you hold solid of one thing to a professional level that can yield valuable outcomes and as well minimize your risks. So even if it requires the process of asking questions to be acquired is worth adhering. If they begin with Bitcoin, want to to find a Bitcoin forum for leaning and discussion, if they search for it, I am quite sure with you that this forum will appear in their search results and on top. They don't need to be introduced to this forum by anyone, searching will bring them to this forum, which is a biggest forum for Bitcoin discussion. If they were introduced by someone to this forum, it is their good start because they possibly have human mentors. If not, the person is not ready as a mentor, AIs can help with quick search and basic informative guide. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: AVE5 on April 22, 2025, 01:01:14 PM A source of where you learns as a newbie shouldn't be enough to hold and hope to learn all necessities and being a questionnaire will extend your potentials of knowledges acquired because there you'd find solution to your fears which your source of learning mayenot have had ideal as a mind reader to know where you may find hard to deal with.
Asking of questions could prompt digging out more informations to advance your learning which as well could encourage you on research in place of skeptic instead of accepting it helplessly. That could as well be refered to the manners of the people out there that are not Bitcoin enthusiasts who just believe what they hears about Bitcoin without making research of their own. Can be that if everyone skeptic about Bitcoin would venture on it research without already been mentally biased to it after first hearing from a source, a lot of them will bump into Bitcoin because through their courage of being questionable and getting to know the honest truth about it, they be left self convinced to see it the other way round. There're also those who has personal decisions that once they've decided, they've decided without putting other factors into consideration. So therefore, Such people ends up learning nothing and makes fool of themselves. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: Makus on April 22, 2025, 04:39:25 PM Topics like this aren't ment for newbies alone, I think both experienced crypto enthusiasts needs to ask themselves questions like this when venturing into any new project or other projects aside crypto. One of the problem about newbies is that, they are too excited to begin anything that benefits thereby not considering the consequences that's attached or the set rules that must be followed. It's possible to start up a crypto investment and make profit without proper knowledge but how much of lucks do they have left? If they run out of luck everything will definitely go south and at the end they'll tag crypto as scam. Learning about something is good but learning with the right procedure and hints is much better so as to bypass unnecessary experience in form of loss.
Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: JoyMarsha on April 22, 2025, 05:57:44 PM Asking for the right and simple question for whatever is being introduced to us will save us a lot if we are to have the wrong perception of it later.
In crypto investment, not everyone is passed the right information by those who introduced them to it. Many are being told crypto investments are a sure way to make quick money without stress. When such thoughts turn out wrong, they complain bitterly about how they were told to invest in Bitcoin or altcoins; in a short space of time, they will see profits. That short term frame has blinded many newbies to think of other possibilities of that not to happen. If newbies can begin to see a different thing regarding investment, that it is not made for short term, instead for long term, we won't be learning about cases of people investing in Bitcoin and be having investment losses. Title: Re: Ask the real question as a beginner Post by: Rgram on April 23, 2025, 01:16:41 PM 5 are there any scam stories and how can I prevent myself from having to experience it Many scam stories are written in Cryptocurrency scam book.
