Title: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: memehunter on May 07, 2025, 09:01:32 AM Today I have completed 1 Year of my journey here. I know it is nothing compared to the majority of reputed members here, I can make this post quite long with some amazing names (very tempted ;D) but this time I will just briefly give some experienced suggestions to members who are starting their journey recently here;
1.) Be honest, everything is secondary. If you are not an honest person it will reflect in your behavior somehow (despite your attempts to hide it) which will make your journey impossible here. 2.) Be consistent, make a habit of reading and writing daily. You will be amazed to see the domino effect of small consistencies in your daily life. 3.) Be fearless, Don't be afraid of speaking your mind or accepting your mistakes. Believe me, this forum has very little room for less passionate people. One more important thing, there are infinite opportunities out there outside this forum as well. If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: 348Judah on May 07, 2025, 09:17:00 AM let me begin by congratulating you for the one year journey on the noble family of bitcointalk, because many have been here for years and have nothing to write about and some came and left because they never see or reason along with others from this end, but been up to this stage you are shows your commitment on the forum and how you have grow as from when you started to where you are now.
As you mark this unique celebration, i want to also inform you that its another journey for you to seat up and give more, face more challenges, and your presence be well felt in the community, because you're now in the capacity of being a motivation to others who are new to the forum. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: _act_ on May 07, 2025, 09:18:02 AM There is one more thing or maybe more things to add.
To be very useful: your usefulness on this forum is what makes you to grow. The more you will also understand this forum as you grow and continue to post, you will have more experience about this forum. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: memehunter on May 07, 2025, 09:29:55 AM There is one more thing or maybe more things to add. To be very useful: your usefulness on this forum is what makes you to grow. The more you will also understand this forum as you grow and continue to post, you will have more experience about this forum. True, in fact, it is the usefulness of this forum that compelled me to actively participate here. I still remember I was actively searching for meme coins to invest in (early days lol) and discovered this forum. The whole night I spent reading here and there and within a few days I found my use case which was a small fee for closing my memecoin position. So true usefulness is a must Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Zlantann on May 07, 2025, 09:48:14 AM If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. Your lessons can be applied not just in this forum but in other aspects of life. Dishonesty leads to lying since the individual will always cover up his dishonest behaviours. Persistent learning is also key to enjoying the forum. Let me add that the willingness to accept corrections when you are wrong is important. We should also be open to learning from anyone, even low ranked members, because nobody knows it all. Being humble will make you teachable, which is essential to success. You can also learn a lot by observing reputable members. All the forum rules are not codified in a document, but if you are observant, you could learn some. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: lovesmayfamilis on May 07, 2025, 12:49:11 PM For some reason, it seems to me that the topic would be more appropriate in the reputation section, maybe not exactly in the achievement's topic, but everything that concerns each user is more appropriate to post there.
But yes, you are a bright personality, so much so that I have tossed and turned from trusting to the opposite several times. I like such users, and I want you not to play, but to be who you represent. If we move on to your points, honesty is such a thing when people trust you, and it is necessary to maintain it very worthily; otherwise, there will be no turning back. Consistency on the forum is very easy to track, and all newbies need to know about this. If you tell yourself that you know nothing, do not invent your level of education the next day. And of course, fearlessness is that if you have something to say, do not hide behind the masks of alternative accounts. This is hypocrisy and cowardice, even if there is truth in the arguments. But yes, OP, you are productive, and I wish you the best of success and advancement. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Tmoonz on May 07, 2025, 01:19:55 PM There is visibility of truth in all that you have said which of course majority will attest to it validating from experience. When we consider being honest it is a mirror towards or showing who we are, even in an attempt to decieve others we can not deceive ourselves because it is a reflection of who we are, it pays real good to be honest. Talking about consistency, it's reminds of those I started with that could not continue honestly the forum is not for everybody which ever way we may see it but yeah with consistency and perseverance one can make a good head up but there must be passion and interest in whatever thing we are doing generally and not only in this forum.
Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Questat on May 07, 2025, 02:09:07 PM There is one more thing or maybe more things to add. That should be everyone’s goal here. We are not just here to learn and gain, but also to impart and share our knowledge and real-life experiences most especially to the newbies as they are still starting to acquire basic knowledge and understanding on how the forum works and how it can be useful for us. To be very useful: your usefulness on this forum is what makes you to grow. The more you will also understand this forum as you grow and continue to post, you will have more experience about this forum. To be very useful is to create a positive impact to the other members, while you are learning from other reputable members, they are also benefiting on you from your wisdom you keep on sharing to everyone in the forum. It’s like a two-way process, and both are benefiting from each other. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: God Of Thunder on May 07, 2025, 03:59:04 PM 3.) Be fearless, Don't be afraid of speaking your mind or accepting your mistakes. I am glad to know you are one of those who is fearless. But, believe me, most of the people will end their forum journey if they want to be fearless. If you criticize someone and get a negative feedback just because of the argument, how would you feel? There are some cases where people got negative feedback and it's all started from little argument. I don't want to mention any names, but if you are active here for a while and checked the reputation board often, I assume you saw a couple of threads where one handed out negative feedback or neutral feedback in negative spirit to other. This forum is full of shitty people and some good people as well. I have learned that in the last two years. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Jewan420 on May 07, 2025, 05:27:43 PM If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. Your advice is very effective for real life as well. Honesty, consistency and fearlessness make every person's journey smooth. However, I would advise a person to be wise in the beginning when it comes to being fearless. I would warn a person with little knowledge in the forum or in real life about being fearless. Because, such people are fearless at the wrong time and in the wrong place, which can lead to greater dangers.You can also add diligence to make your journey smooth in the forum. For a newcomer, it is more important to be diligent. Because we all exchange knowledge in the forum and there are some things that we do not know at all. Sometimes it is not possible to learn them by reading or trying to learn them once. So you have to have the ability to try again and again on that subject, that is, be diligent. If you can be diligent with honesty, consistency, then you will definitely have the possibility of becoming a famous person in this forum. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: coyhasmon on May 07, 2025, 09:53:48 PM Congratulations. This is valuable information for me.
2.) Be consistent, make a habit of reading and writing daily. You will be amazed to see the domino effect of small consistencies in your daily life. I'd like to make a small suggestion here, the habit of reading should far outweigh the habit of writing. What I have noticed in a lot of threads is that users post barely coherent or relevant information, most often because they did not spend time familiarizing themselves with the topic or fully reading many responses. 3.) Be fearless, Don't be afraid of speaking your mind or accepting your mistakes. It is good to be fearless, but in the forum, being fearless can cost you many things.Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Davidvictorson on May 07, 2025, 11:59:12 PM There is one more thing or maybe more things to add. Growth is absolutely how you continue to thrive on the forum. Expand your knowledge, expand your experience and you will always be able to contribute positively to the forum. And it is a positive growth that in turn makes the forum grow as well and make a it even better and much more enjoyable. But growth is slow and not fast. Slow growth makes your root stronger and firm. In my estimation the a growth that produces rewards outside the forum but from the forum is the one I want to always have.To be very useful: your usefulness on this forum is what makes you to grow. The more you will also understand this forum as you grow and continue to post, you will have more experience about this forum. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Patikno on May 08, 2025, 12:41:31 AM These three points are very good to be an experience for anyone in this forum, but because this is on the Beginner Board, I suggest to prioritize point number two for beginners, because consistency and curiosity are what brought me to this point. Therefore, for those who are just starting their journey in this forum, it is better to increase your curiosity, so that you can make good habits from it, diligent reading is also one of the keys. Whatever it is, then be consistent as OP said.
Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Shamm on May 08, 2025, 01:38:00 AM Congratulations Op you are now 1 year old in this forum.
1 year is not just easy to reach and base on your profile you gain what you deserve. In your journey you will reach Snr member with a total of 348 Merits which speaks good at you. But little reminder this kind of achievement maybe belong to the reputation board. Anyways congratulations and good luck to your next journey. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. I am sure this toss will happen a few more times (I am in no rush lol), since you mentioned it, I appreciate your response. I want you not to play, but to be who you represent. Sometimes we are in the process of discovering ourselves, honestly, I don't know. But yes, OP, you are productive, and I wish you the best of success and advancement. Means a lot, especially coming from you, thanks. Do you really hunt meme coins? No, I no longer believe in ghosts, so there is no question of chasing them. ;DCongratulations. This is valuable information for me. Thanks.However, I would advise a person to be wise in the beginning when it comes to being fearless. I would warn a person with little knowledge in the forum or in real life about being fearless. Because, such people are fearless at the wrong time and in the wrong place, which can lead to greater dangers. You made a practical point. There are situations where fear can save you but I was intending towards not to say/support a genuine cause out of fear. You will always feel less knowledgeable your whole life, it ultimately boils down to what you feel at that point and everyone knows deep down if he is acting wrong because of fear or not. Your lessons can be applied not just in this forum but in other aspects of life. Thanks a lot for your kind words.Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. What you all pointed out are all true. I can see how consistent you are and your passion especially on gambling focus.If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. I remember the poker contest you initiate since I participated on it for quite sometime, Id say you are good and continue to be active mate. Id say I miss the pokers event though but sometimes time doesnt permit or different schedule. Anyway keep up the good work mate. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: AVE5 on May 08, 2025, 08:51:22 AM Your reputation is exciting. Congratulations on your achievements Op.
Believe me, this forum has very little room for less passionate people. One more important thing, there are infinite opportunities out there outside this forum as well. Absolutely there're lot of dividends to ascertain as a learned member of this forum which isn't just about acquiring high portfolio (ranks) but with the educative informations and contents shared in the forum can muchly provide us pleasants such as the credibilities of our achievements in the crypto market, social reshaping entitlements and as well the ignition of uprooting positive industriousness. Many could be here just to join signature campaigns but while we're optimize to great counts of being in the forum, we can as well maximize our minds to how we can be profited outside the forum. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Hewlet on May 08, 2025, 09:04:16 AM Believe me, this forum has very little room for less passionate people. One more important thing, there are infinite opportunities out there outside this forum as well. Two factors are predominantly evident for everyone that has grown fast on the forum. One is the reputation of the individual and the other is how knowledgeable the person is on forum related discussion.If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. Same one year that it took you to grow into a senior member rank of the forum can finish and yet another might even find it hard to rank up to a member rank in the forum. The difference is simple; the knowledge difference between the individual in question. Reputation always comes into play in the long run and for you, both are evident and instrumental for the ease of ranking up you've experienced for this short period of time. Rushing to rank up doesn't always yield the intended result but following due process and building yourself on the forum meticulously is the surest way of growing progressively in the long run. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Kelward on May 08, 2025, 10:56:24 AM I can relate more with your second point and that is consistency, when you're consistent in this forum you will increase in knowledge and make meaningful contributions. It also depends on the aim of joining the forum, if it's basically to rank up and be accepted into a signature campaign, it can be frustrating if it's not happening as quick as you want. This is why I believe some newbies don't last in the forum, if you're consistent and active sooner or later you will rank up. I'm two years in the forum and my experience has been amazing, this is a good community to belong to.
Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Alpha Marine on May 08, 2025, 01:27:31 PM One important thing I learn here long ago is to be genuine. There's no point trying to form what you're not or trying to present yourself as intelligent. You're in no competition with anybody. When you try to force people to see you as a very intelligent person, you'll only end up embarrassing yourself, and you can't learn that way.
Another thing is to be open-minded. Don't have the idea in your head that you know it all or know more than everybody. There are people from different fields of life here, and you can't know everything more than everybody. Just be open to learning, unlearning and relearning things, and you'll grow. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: JoyMarsha on May 08, 2025, 02:06:51 PM It's amazing to see how time flies because staying up to a year in this forum and achieving quite a lot is not an easy job; rather, it's a remarkable journey. Not everyone who started this journey with you or before you in this forum has achieved or reached the heights you have reached in this forum, not to mention making an impact that most people will take note of you for being a regular poster whose impact has been felt.
I will want to use this opportunity to let you know that the little things you do in this forum, which you think that most people don't take note of, are being noticed. Someday, you will be rewarded bountifully to a greater height for being a good buddy who is honest and consistent in the forum Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Be consistent, make a habit of reading and writing daily. You will be amazed to see the domino effect of small consistencies in your daily life. 3.) Be fearless, Don't be afraid of speaking your mind or accepting your mistakes. These three are enough to make someone succeed here but people tend to shy away from them especially the beginners. In fact, you don't need to apply these only in your forum activities but even life outside forum. There is this popular saying that "truth shall always set you free" but we prefer to keep ourselves in bondage with dishonesty. People can create all sorts of lies here just to get merits or other advantages without realising that it represents their personality. Consistency is like a fertiliser to growth. You don't necessarily need to be expert from beginning before you can thrive but with determination and consistency, you'll conquer the challenges and create a name for yourself to be proud of. Even if you are good in whatever you do and you're not consistent, you'll probably lose that potential in the long run. I do come across your name and from others comment here, I can only encourage you to maintain the same energy and continue in the right path. Happy one year anniversary to you! Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Jaycoinz on May 08, 2025, 02:41:19 PM There is one more thing or maybe more things to add. To be very useful: your usefulness on this forum is what makes you to grow. The more you will also understand this forum as you grow and continue to post, you will have more experience about this forum. Well done mate, I think this is even the most important on the list of things users must be or have here in the community. The community is a space of learning and growing with little privilege attached as you are here and in all your level of importance in the aspect of impact made speaks a lot in your growth journey because you can be honest, consistent and fearless without contributing and you will still end up stuck at one point. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Findingnemo on May 08, 2025, 04:44:40 PM Pick your board of interest: this is the tip I suggested recently to someone as well and why we need to do is simply because it gives better exposure to the community about what we are trying to contribute to the community.
Participate in discussions: Lot of users don't engage in any discussions they simply reply to the first post and move on to next thread, which gives a bad impression about the user. Don't chase merits: It's my personal opinion but others might have a different view about this. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Finestream on May 08, 2025, 08:44:00 PM Congratulations OP on your 1 year crypto journey, not everyone can lasts longer like you do, but you did it. And yes, if you are just genuine on your desires and goals in the forum as well as in the crypto market, you will always end up with a positive outcome.
Patience and consistency in every thing that you do is a must. What matters in the end is that you established your own ideal and reputable identity and that you leave a positive impact to other members, and that is beyond success not just in crypto but also in real life. This is a good advice. Choosing your boardhof interest will help narrow down your niche and concentration and your contribution to the forum will increase. You will definitely be grounded in things about the board in a very short period of time.Participate in discussions: Lot of users don't engage in any discussions they simply reply to the first post and move on to next thread, which gives a bad impression about the user. Very true, the forum is called Bitcoin discussion forum. Which means you have to engage in active discussion and not to have one response and leave, whether people quote you or not, you don't care.Don't chase merits: It's my personal opinion but others might have a different view about this. Yes, I have a different view. Almost everyone in the forum wants merit. Try to earn merits but don't make it a priority.Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. The truth is, there’s no competition in the forum. All started from scratch and eventually grow as long they don’t stop from learning every single day. It takes patience and yes, being genuine of course, but I think the best thing to learn here is to recognize that we grow as one here. You learn from others, as well as others learn from you. There’s non-stop learning as long as you stay being open-minded to what is more relevant and useful to you. Another thing is to be open-minded. There are still further years that we will go through here and hopefully the next year to year can be even better with positive changes. Points 1 through 3 are good and important. Putting honesty in the first point is very appropriate because this will pave the way to go far. However, the fearless point for me should be the point placed at number 2 and then be consistent. Being honest and not afraid to speak your mind and accept mistakes is part of the learning process. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. There's evidence that you have really put in more work, but not just the work; it's the impact that you have been known for. This piece of information really will go a long way for anyone who comes across it. Truly, consistency is the key to achieving more in this forum.Secondly everything you have mention here is also important in our daily lifestyle. Honesty is the best policy and there's always a fruit of every honesty. Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Btcdeybodi on May 10, 2025, 06:33:01 PM OP your topic would have been more suitable in this thread Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5391471.0) or in the reputation board but since you are kind of sharing your experience, it will also help newbies be motivated and for me, among the three things you stated, the one i like most is being fearless because the reason why some people in this forum have not been able to grow further is the fear of being criticized but i only see criticisms as a way to help one improve instead of looking at the negative side of it because if you are doing something and no one complains about it that means they don't care about you and your success but when they correct you and give you advice on how to go it is better than when everyone is clapping for you even when you are wrong. Inasmuch as you are not breaking any rules in the forum and don't think there is need to be afraid.

Try as much as possible to connect with your local board, once in a while, communicate with them and have some connection, you will feel among in the Forum more when you visit only the general board. Like in my local board, they did a competition about Christmas food, though I miss out and I was overwhelmed how other communities troop their to reward them in their one way including the forum founder, there are things you don't expect which are very social happening in this forum. Though, the way you present your points might not be general for everyone because there are some members that are just their self, they don't involved their self in any form of drama but when they drop their inputs in any meaningful thread, you will know that such person has something upstair, they don't force their conversations and they drop it as their head tells them to and not because other people want them to do it even if they wear signature, they write on their own will and accord. You have achieved alot more than most people within one year you are able to take your account to senior member rank and being able to accumulate 350 merits that is an incredible achievement and I must commend you for that. I know it is nothing compared to the majority of reputed members here, I can make this post quite long with some amazing names (very tempted ;D) but this time I will just briefly give some experienced suggestions to members who are starting their journey recently here; I think all the things discussed here are very closely related to reality. In fact, this is the reality of every work, in every field, where you are loyal to your work, you are honest, you have no fear that you will fail in this work. If you are giving your full time to your work, as you have thought that you will have an output and accordingly you are giving your input, then no power on earth can make you a failure. You remain successful. You are giving time to your field, your profession and you are loyal to it, then the fear of failure is left far behind. If you are giving best in this matter, then success is your destiny. If you remain loyal, then you will remain successful. No matter what field of life it is, whether it is a partner in your life, or the relationships in your life, you will always be successful.1.) Be honest, everything is secondary. Your ideas about being honest doing things regularly and not become afraid are very important. And not be scared to say what we think and admitting when we are wrong is good for learning and connecting with others.
It is good to remember that we need to care about this place to do well here. And your idea that there are many other chances outside this forum is also important. So keep it up and never give up. Post by: Pi-network314159 on May 12, 2025, 05:20:08 AM kudos to you memehunter as your name implies, its a milestone achieve which not everyone was able to achieve in this short period of time, this shows your level of commitment, dedication and resilience. the forum is a free place of learning but it turns out to be difficult for some. one thing is being smart another being dedication and consistency. being able to speak out without undermining what people will say is a sign of being bold. until a person is bold enough to express his or her feeling no matter the outcome then the person is not ready to explore. for you i say congratulation and more greater height.

I think he is just like his name, a hunter which means someone who is ready to do his best to achieve the target he is hunting. I feel that people in this forum need to learn a lot from achievements like this, especially for beginners. And I agree with your opinion, that not everyone can achieve what OP did, and it's all about consistency, and accompanied by a strong determination to want to learn one by one in order to achieve it. Several times newbies come to this forum and ask how to survive in the forum, and my answer is the same.Title: Re: 3 things to learn form my 1yr journey. Post by: Nothingtodo on May 13, 2025, 04:04:10 PM The most important of the three things is to keep yourself honest, especially if you keep yourself on a dishonest path, then somehow your dishonest intentions and actions will be revealed here. It's tough for a user to be honest here, but those who can be completely honest will definitely benefit from being honest, and a dishonest person can't last long here. However, in my long journey, I have come to see one thing: those who work hard and even encourage others to work hard are the ones who can ultimately be successful in life.

You have indeed achieved a lot in just your one year in this forum, or let me say you’ve learnt a lot since you can be able to reiterate on the things you’ve learnt so far you joined the forum. It is worthy to know that this forum is full of knowledge and knowledgeable people. During your course of staying here, if you’re not able to achieve anything or even get to learn somethings here that will help you in your crypto journey, then you’re just wallowing your time here without having any significant use to your stay here. One more thing, be useful by giving back to the forum from the book of knowledge you’ve learnt here. Quote Believe me, this forum has very little room for less passionate people. One more important thing, there are infinite opportunities out there outside this forum as well. If you have any suggestions for me, I am all ears. Opportunities are everywhere but if you are not able to practice well all those you’ve mentioned above, I don’t think you can be able to cling on to those opportunities for your own good use. Always focus on what you tend to get to achieve in a new place you find yourself and when you’re able to practice good behavioral and good relation /communication skill there, you’ll be well positioned more for those opportunities to reach you faster.
