3 things to learn form my 1yr journey.

Today I have completed 1 Year of my journey here. I know it is nothing compared to the majority of reputed members here, I can make this post quite long with some amazing names (very tempted  ) but this time I will just briefly give some experienced suggestions to members who are starting their journey recently here;

1.) Be honest, everything is secondary. If you are not an honest person it will reflect in your behavior somehow (despite your attempts to hide it) which will make your journey impossible here.
2.) Be consistent, make a habit of reading and writing daily. You will be amazed to see the domino effect of small consistencies in your daily life. 
3.) Be fearless, Don't be afraid of speaking your mind or accepting your mistakes.

Believe me, this forum has very little room for less passionate people. One more important thing, there are infinite opportunities out there outside this forum as well.

let me begin by congratulating you for the one year journey on the noble family of bitcointalk, because many have been here for years and have nothing to write about and some came and left because they never see or reason along with others from this end, but been up to this stage you are shows your commitment on the forum and how you have grow as from when you started to where you are now.

True, in fact, it is the usefulness of this forum that compelled me to actively participate here. I still remember I was actively searching for meme coins to invest in (early days lol) and discovered this forum. The whole night I spent reading here and there and within a few days I found my use case which was a small fee for closing my memecoin position.

Your lessons can be applied not just in this forum but in other aspects of life. Dishonesty leads to lying since the individual will always cover up his dishonest behaviours. Persistent learning is also key to enjoying the forum.

Let me add that the willingness to accept corrections when you are wrong is important. We should also be open to learning from anyone, even low ranked members, because nobody knows it all. Being humble will make you teachable, which is essential to success.

You can also learn a lot by observing reputable members. All the forum rules are not codified in a document, but if you are observant, you could learn some.

For some reason, it seems to me that the topic would be more appropriate in the reputation section, maybe not exactly in the achievement's topic, but everything that concerns each user is more appropriate to post there.
But yes, you are a bright personality, so much so that I have tossed and turned from trusting to the opposite several times. I like such users, and I want you not to play, but to be who you represent.
If we move on to your points, honesty is such a thing when people trust you, and it is necessary to maintain it very worthily; otherwise, there will be no turning back.
Consistency on the forum is very easy to track, and all newbies need to know about this. If you tell yourself that you know nothing, do not invent your level of education the next day.
And of course, fearlessness is that if you have something to say, do not hide behind the masks of alternative accounts. This is hypocrisy and cowardice, even if there is truth in the arguments.

There is visibility of truth in all that you have said which of course majority will attest to it validating from experience. When we consider being honest it is a mirror towards or showing who we are, even in an attempt to decieve others we can not deceive ourselves because it is a reflection of who we are, it pays real good to be honest. Talking about consistency, it's reminds of those I started with that could not continue honestly the forum is not for everybody which ever way we may see it but yeah with consistency and perseverance one can make a good head up but there must be passion and interest in whatever thing we are doing generally and not only in this forum.

That should be everyone’s goal here. We are not just here to learn and gain, but also to impart and share our knowledge and real-life experiences most especially to the newbies as they are still starting to acquire basic knowledge and understanding on how the forum works and how it can be useful for us.

To be very useful is to create a positive impact to the other members, while you are learning from other reputable members, they are also benefiting on you from your wisdom you keep on sharing to everyone in the forum. It’s like a two-way process, and both are benefiting from each other.

I am glad to know you are one of those who is fearless. But, believe me, most of the people will end their forum journey if they want to be fearless. If you criticize someone and get a negative feedback just because of the argument, how would you feel? There are some cases where people got negative feedback and it's all started from little argument.

I don't want to mention any names, but if you are active here for a while and checked the reputation board often, I assume you saw a couple of threads where one handed out negative feedback or neutral feedback in negative spirit to other. This forum is full of shitty people and some good people as well. I have learned that in the last two years.

Your advice is very effective for real life as well. Honesty, consistency and fearlessness make every person's journey smooth. However, I would advise a person to be wise in the beginning when it comes to being fearless. I would warn a person with little knowledge in the forum or in real life about being fearless. Because, such people are fearless at the wrong time and in the wrong place, which can lead to greater dangers.

You can also add diligence to make your journey smooth in the forum. For a newcomer, it is more important to be diligent. Because we all exchange knowledge in the forum and there are some things that we do not know at all. Sometimes it is not possible to learn them by reading or trying to learn them once. So you have to have the ability to try again and again on that subject, that is, be diligent. If you can be diligent with honesty, consistency, then you will definitely have the possibility of becoming a famous person in this forum.

I'd like to make a small suggestion here, the habit of reading should far outweigh the habit of writing. What I have noticed in a lot of threads is that users post barely coherent or relevant information, most often because they did not spend time familiarizing themselves with the topic or fully reading many responses.

It is good to be fearless, but in the forum, being fearless can cost you many things.

Why? Unless you do something illegal or disallowed, I don't think something would happen to you. Do you have some examples?

Growth is absolutely how you continue to thrive on the forum. Expand your knowledge, expand your experience and you will always be able to contribute positively to the forum. And it is a positive growth that in turn makes the forum grow as well and make a it even better and much more enjoyable. But growth is slow and  not fast. Slow growth makes your root stronger and firm. In my estimation the  a growth that produces rewards outside the forum but from the forum is the one I want to always have.

These three points are very good to be an experience for anyone in this forum, but because this is on the Beginner Board, I suggest to prioritize point number two for beginners, because consistency and curiosity are what brought me to this point. Therefore, for those who are just starting their journey in this forum, it is better to increase your curiosity, so that you can make good habits from it, diligent reading is also one of the keys. Whatever it is, then be consistent as OP said.

You made a practical point. There are situations where fear can save you but I was intending towards not to say/support a genuine cause out of fear. You will always feel less knowledgeable your whole life, it ultimately boils down to what you feel at that point and everyone knows deep down if he is acting wrong because of fear or not.

Congrats OP you survive the 1yr on forum, not all can take it honestly. What you all pointed out are all true. I can see how consistent you are and your passion especially on gambling focus.

I remember the poker contest you initiate since I participated on it for quite sometime, Id say you are good and continue to be active mate. Id say I miss the pokers event though but sometimes time doesnt permit or different schedule. Anyway keep up the good work mate.

Two factors are predominantly evident for everyone that has grown fast on the forum. One is the reputation of the individual and the other is how knowledgeable the person is on forum related discussion.

Same one year that it took you to grow into a senior member rank of the forum can finish and yet another might even find it hard to rank up to a member rank in the forum. The difference is simple; the knowledge difference between the individual in question. Reputation always comes into play in the long run and for you, both are evident and instrumental for the ease of ranking up you've experienced for this short period of time. Rushing to rank up doesn't always yield the intended result but following due process and building yourself on the forum meticulously is the surest way of growing progressively in the long run.

I can relate more with your second point and that is consistency, when you're consistent in this forum you will increase in knowledge and make meaningful contributions. It also depends on the aim of joining the forum, if it's basically to rank up and be accepted into a signature campaign, it can be frustrating if it's not happening as quick as you want. This is why I believe some newbies don't last in the forum, if you're consistent and active sooner or later you will rank up. I'm two years in the forum and my experience has been amazing, this is a good community to belong to.
