I think the price looks ridiculous.  20-30 satoshi for a 10bil amount copy-coin.
I don't know which idiot has bought them.
I guess maybe you bought them by yourself.

No, it's you're being ridiculous. Look at other coins like IFC which has absolutely nothing to offer with 100'000'000'000 coins emission and price of 6 satoshi. Minimum price for Nas is 60 satoshi. And a couple of month from now it'll be much higher.

While I'd put the exchange rate right now around 20 satoshi you are right!

On the other hand the prices of zhangli are retarded. That are fake trades, nobody is paying 290 satoshis. Shame on him!

290 is too much atm, but 20 is nothing. Doge is 5 times more expensive plus has 10 times larger emission which makes it 50 more expensive although it's just another clone.

Well yeah, but for something to have worth, someone needs to pay that. Atm the market pays 20. So there is that ;)

Apologies for the cross post, but as potential investors are looking here for coins I feel it necessary to point out some of the stats of the distribution.

The top 3 IPO investors received 37% of all coins, and the top 11 IPO investors received 71% of all coins:

RankingAccount NumberNAS received% of total 10bn NAS
116545239077924294773199300500019.93%
210179259285543321779975000009.98%
3129623052914518562727337610007.34%
4101546669252162790365274780005.27%
594372574352520630804708200004.71%
6178527525706928538714396980004.4%
794315735999924812243990000003.99%
839466953186011682883990000003.99%
990733757567577436013990000003.99%
1099362068694972872673990000003.99%
1178276707217239482643988005003.99%

So NAS is a clone of Nxt, but the initial distribution appears to be worse than Nxt (which was already bad, and in some people's opinion the single worst aspect of the coin).

Those are the facts. Opinion time: considering this coin has no actual innovations of its own, this distribution is totally incompatible with a coin that can be used as a currency, or a store of wealth; and the price cannot appreciate while these 11 investors can (and probably will) do anything they can to trickle/dump their coins whilst there are still buyers. As such, 20 satoshi (or even 1 satoshi) is far too expensive.

Not saying that the distribution is good. But your accusation is false.

The 20% account was for bounties and other things.

If you're correct then I'll change the details in my posts.

However, I believe the 20% account belongs to an IPO investor "zhou1981zhou":

I send 0.5btc
my hash is c33dc47250e648b2e31844f3b7069d3fc77397689e3c5c4ac3d1d950b2bbdbe5
my tx is fdae000fa236e4ef50953b06500f5353ceecb555080a158d40cb2a8f09f7564b

I checked this post from Nas_Coin:

u can check the ipo lists (http://nascoin.org/list.txt) in nascoin.org
all 10b nas were distributed in the genesis block.
genesis block include 36 transcount.

In that link there is this entry:

Code:
16).16545239077924294773	49.95p	(NasAmount:1993005000)

If you still think it's bounties and not an IPO investor, please point out my errors.

I checked this post from Nas_Coin:

u can check the ipo lists (http://nascoin.org/list.txt) in nascoin.org
all 10b nas were distributed in the genesis block.
genesis block include 36 transcount.

In that link there is this entry:

I will look into that. But what i know is, that this account has only 400 mil left.

Well, lots of coins were already redistributed, although it's true that we need better distibution. As well as 95% other coins. There were lots of Nxt haters but now, just a few months later lots of major stakeholders sold most part of their stakes. As for Nas price, you can buy 1% of all emission for just 20 Btc, how is it far too expensive? Just check http://coinmarketcap.com/#BTC - 2000 Btc is a capitalization of some shit coins.

NAS currently still not trading on any exchange. You have a unique opportunity to buy NAS before it will become more expensive after adding to exchanges!

BTER and agx.io said that they look into start trading NAS!

My today's selling offer:
250,000 NAS for 0.05 BTC   --> 1NAS=0.00000020
500,000 NAS for 0.095 BTC  --> 1NAS=0.00000019
1,000,000 NAS for 0.18 BTC  --> 1NAS=0.00000018

Bigger volume will get a discount.

Special offer from me: 2,500,000 NAS for 0.425 BTC or 7700 NXT  ----> 1 NAS = 0.00000017 BTC.

Accept BTC and NXT. We can use escrow if you want.

PM me.

There's no way to determine how well it is redistributed. If people transfer their NAS to other accounts there's no way to know if it's another person's account, or another of their own. If I had a significant proportion of a coin's total distribution then yes I'd split them up into separate accounts too.

Nxt had and has lots of haters, mostly from people who didn't get in early enough. It was very badly distributed at the start. It's got a lot better since then, but it's still very badly distributed. And I believe that is putting people off investing into it (why buy 50,000 NXT when there are several people with >5 million NXT who are probably looking to cash out?). (I'm not talking about Elmo here; he's a joke). It appears NAS has significantly worse distribution problems than Nxt, but without the large community or first mover advantage.

Which is a shame. I'm not in principle against NAS. I would invest if the price was right (and I'm open to PMs). But the initial distribution means that 15 satoshi is far far too high for me.

I think there's little point in debating this though. I put the table up and people can draw their own conclusions, good or bad. I won't repost it. If there are factual problems please point them out and I'll rectify them.

Thanks a lot for the kind offer. But I already squeezed into the initial giveaway - just before the cutoff! - so i wouldn't be comfortable getting more free NAS.

why buy 50,000 NXT when there are several people with >5 million NXT who are probably looking to cash out?

Because you want to make really good money? Not great money like one of major stakeholders, but still. I got into Nxt a bit late and wasn't able to buy 1M for 1Btc but still have x20 profit and I don't want to make the same mistake with Nas so I bought some Nas at 15 satoshis. I don't care if someone make $500K on it invested just 200 Nxt if I make $100K invested 10 Btc. Nas price is a joke right now, you can buy 1% of all coins for 15 Btc.

Selling up to 2M (min 200 000) at 40 satoshis.
200'000 Nas = 0.08 Btc
2'000'000 = 0.8 Btc

I also have no problem with people making large profits just because they got in at the right time and took the risk. I don't see it as "fair" or "unfair" (although generally the wider community does judge based on this).

But it's risky to invest in something where a handful of large stakeholders with 70% of the coin supply are able to control the price simply by turning the tap on and off. Nxt were first and had a large and active community driving it, so there were huge rewards even for non-initial investors. NAS is a clone of Nxt, and it can be cloned again and again, perhaps by someone who manages to do a distribution that is considered 'fair' by the community, and/or doesn't suffer from someone being able to easily control the supply/price. There will be some sales in the short term, but I think investors will look to fully cash out, and then "Don't catch a falling knife" will apply.

To protect myself against being totally wrong about NAS, I would buy some, but at much lower prices than are being mentioned on this thread. If anyone is selling at 0.5 satoshi, PM me.

Well, it always depends on how much risk you're willing to take. At 1 satoshi I'd buy 1'000'000'000 coins right away. But it's just 10 Btc for 10% of the emission and it's ridiculous. No one in his mind would sell at such low price.

I will announce a very big promotion, that will likely bring the total holders of NAS to 2000 people. So i doubt that after this, the price will ever dip below 10 again :) Hopefully!

Sound very interesting! What was the last price on dgex before it closed down? I still think ~10 is optimal to spread NAS around.

the last trades were for 15 sats and 14 sats. Some nervous sellers sold into the 11 and 10 satoshi buy wall though.

Thanks! I had a few bricks in that buy wall at 10 so maybe I'm OK then :)

They probably are rolled back. Dgex had internal server problems and their trading engine fucked up allowing negative BTC balances. This lead to every trade 3 hours before 5 pm to be rolled back.

Lets see the damage tomorrow then (damage in sence of rolledback trades)
Yeah, it's quite f*ckedup. I bought at 13 and it was a legit buy.
I do not understand why in the world he would roll back an ENTIRE market?!

Someone here who wants to sell at 13? I have NXT for trade.

It had to be done from the moment the bug happend.

I would have yesterday :D

How do you think what is the max price for NAS? Do you agree with Come-from-Beyond that it'll be $0.005 per coin one day? It's 60 times more expesive than current lowest prices. Could be a great deal to buy some coins now, but I don't know shit about this market ) Some people are bitching around about "unfair" distribution, but it don't seem to be a problem for Nxt after all.

There's an offer a bit higher on this thread, someone wants to buy 75M coins at 20 satoshi. I guess if somebody could easily spend 15 Btc, I should do the same. I wanna get rich but don't want to lose money )

Nobody can say anything with any certainty. What CfB meant was that 50 M is possible. But like all cryptos, this coin will also depend on the price of BTC. So if BTC is 2500 $ then yes, NAS can be worth 50 M easily.

Don't spend more than you can lose!

We can list your coin at our exchange www.crycurex.com if you are interested, looks like your coin is popular, listing should be for free of charge and without voting needed ;)

Would someone be interested in adding to crycurex.com list of trading coins ?

Simple copycat-clons like this shit are the reasons for the falling BTC and for other famous alt coins like NXT or NEM!

If the distribution is the biggest attack point of a coin, then I think this coin is doing just fine ;)

Look at fiat currencies, about 90% are owned by top banks and national banks!

90% of btc are owned by <1% of BTC holders.

I was talking about the creators of the coin that let 70+% be distributed to 11 people. These days, Nxt is pretty good; the main problem with it is the distribution. NAS cloned it and made the distribution worse.

I think you're doing a decent job of promoting it; I just wish you'd promote something more worthy.

This is my current passion project ;) In the future I will move on and promote another coin. I know the distribution sucks right now, but if you look at dgex , you can see that within 2.5 days ~ 8% of all NAS changed hands. This could continue and in the end a good distribution will happen!

Not sure though what the next coin I'll promote will be ;) My fist coin was NXT, so maybe something completely differet this time?^^

In my capacity of lead Nxt developer, I can assure you that no core Nxt developer is supporting the scamcoin called NAS.

NAS is a pump and dump coin. It has nothing new to offer. Even calling it a clone or fork would be a compliment they don't deserve, because it is not, it is a quick and dirty copy and paste job. And believe me, it is dirty - I actually took the time to look at the source, out of curiosity what they did with my code.

NAS have taken a test version of the new Nxt UI, developed by Wesley, which was not yet ready for production use - but they don't care, it is a get rich quick scheme, nevermind that it is other people's money this software is supposed to handle. They have also based their release on a Nxt version with a known critical vulnerability, which was fixed in Nxt long ago.

The NAS marketing guys are aggressively trying to bribe various people in the Nxt community with "giveaways". This is a thinly veiled attempt to make their "software" appear sanctioned by the Nxt community. They have also approached me with a similar offer of a generous donation, but I am ignoring it, because I do not want my name to be associated with this blatant scam.

Never confuse copy and paste jobs like NAS with legitimate Nxt alternatives. NEM and NXTL are trying to innovate and improve on the ideas brought by Nxt, they are apparently re-writing and re-designing everything from the ground up, and will be a healthy competition to Nxt. So they have my respect. But NAS... I hope I made myself clear.

I do understand Jean Luk, but it doesn't matter. By the time Nem and Nxtl are launched Nas will bring lots of money to people who are buying now. As for pump and dump, every coin is pump and dump: Nas, Nxt, Bitcoin, every one of them. Prices are different, pattern is the same. All you can do is watch and try to catch a wave. There are certanly some very little number of people with ideals and 99,9% of them are programmers. All other people just make money, lose money, have fun.

Nas works, it's on exchanges, it has nice wallet, nobody give a fuck about its uniqness. Also I disagree with Jean Luk. As more clones Nxt has as better. If there were 100 Nxt clones then Nxt itself would costs 10 times more.

That makes sense. Clone as it is, Nas is doing well.

I think the market has woken up and smelt the coffee. That's why there's less than 4.5 BTC buy orders on dgex (of which 2.3 BTC is at 1 satoshi), and 247 million NAS sell orders.

Nxt doesn't look any better. Price is down to 0.00004825 and volume is only 9.17 which is just 2 btc more than Nas volume. Following that logic Nxt is dead.

This is not about uniqueness... PoS survives on innovation and utility - NAS has none, the NAS network is currently a handful of nodes (I can find 20 live nodes if I try really hard), how do you expect to protect people's holdings with that...

J-L as much as said this is a 'bad copy' even a 'dangerous copy' - the NXT Dev's don't normally comment on clones, the fact that one has, and done so very clearly should mean people think twice about this coin... and then buy something else...

I don't know how to respond. I simply don't see any points in your comment. It exists and it works, as much as Nxt. There's just 20 nodes? So what. It's obviously enough at this point. If there will be any probems I guess major stakeholders set up more nodes or pledge money for them as Nxt holders (including me) did when there was a ddos attack.

And again. It is only for good to have as much Nxt forks as possible. If you think that a lot of people aware of Nxt then you wrong. Most people didn't hear about anything except Bitcoin. We do need lots and lots of Nxt forks to make Nxt really popular. I'd do a fork by myself if I was a programmer.

If you don't believe me ask Cfb. I'm sure he doesn't have anything against Nas. Jean Luc is just a developer, he's awesome at what he does, but he can't see further. Cfb has a vision, he knows what's good for Nxt. In my opinion everything that would make people want to know more about Nxt is good. Nas is one of such things.

Also Nas might have its own great future. It depends on devs and community. I do believe it'll hit at least 1/100 of Nxt price sometime soon and 1/10 within a year. Probably six months from now noone will remember how Nas appeared. It'll be just another 2nd gen currency as nxt, nxtl, nem, emunie, ethereum and their prices will be more or less on one level.

I absolutely agree with you it depends on dev's and community - or in the case of 2.0 PoS - 'good/great devs'- so far I am not impressed by the 'dev' part based on the evidence and the opinion of someone who I agree does 'awesome work'.

I too will actively support good quality 2nd gen NXT clones, NEM an NXTL are innovating and trying to create distance between themselves and NXT, neither are trading on the basis of 'we are a copy of NXT, come and make lots of money'!! There is another clone slowly growing which is NHZ again trying a different model.

Yes NXT needs more press, but I don't subscribe to the idea that any press is good press and something linked to NXT that eventually could cause people to turn against NXT is not a good idea.

That's my point and why I am criticising NAS until I see evidence to the contrary.
