The borg queen has noticed the propagation of alt coins in the alpha quadrant which will soon reach and influence the delta quadrant. The borg queen has decided to create her own hive borg coin. This coin would be scrypt based and would then be used by all borg assimilated planets in the sector and all throughout the delta quadrant. Borg coin has 500,000,000 coins to be minted. 500 million being based on the mass ton of the borg trans warp ship with a maximum rated speed of 29.968 warp factor with advanced trans warp drive. Aside from the fact that you can mint, buy, sell and trade borgcoin on exchanges you can also use your borgcoins to buy star trek collectibles and memorabillas other than  star trek online and offline.

We are currently looking at talking to several online and offline collectibles memorabilla retail stores to accept borgcoin for purchases into their stores and computer shops starting from Sydney Australia to the North American continent and the rest of the world.

If you know of a retail store, games shop or souvenirs shop and want them to accept your borgcoins please send us an email at admin@borgcoin.org and we will gladly endeavor to talk to them and explain the advantages of accepting borgcoin cryptocoin into their store.

Borgcoin is here to stay for good. Overtime we will be adding list of stores and shops that will be accepting borgcoin into their store for online and offline purchases worldwide.

We already have spent hundreds of hours marketing borgcoin to offline retail stores and soon borgcoin will also be accepted onto online gaming to purchase online game credits ie world of warcraft, priston tale, mat online and so on. List of official gaming sites will be added as we progress along.

No, it will not be password protected but it will be in zip files. Once its ready for download at the website tomorrow it can be freely be installed using the windows installer or just launch the borgcoin qt wallets. Can also be mined with any low end gpu or cpu as the diff rating is still low even without pools yet. It was pre-mined with a duo core 1.5ghz 6yr old msi laptop. fyi

Looks good! will definitely mine this coin. Please keep us up to date on which souvenir shops/ game stores/ online games will accept borg coin for item purchases. This coin looks like its got a lot of potential to rival with doge coin and other altcoins. Can you send me a zip of the wallet before everyone else downloads it?  ;D

Hi,

Sure thing. Everything about borgcoin will be up to date on this forums and on the website. Currently 2 computer shops are already in the know and are just waiting for the borgcoin to be on an exchange so they can see what if the value would at least be $1USD/per borgcoin so they can set up their prices accordingly. Exchanges currently waiting for the coin to be launched and mined and see if there will be a community backing it.

I'm sorry but to be fair to all I cannot send you a copy of the wallet or the windows installer before the launching tomorrow. Please stay tuned and visit this topic tmrw or the website and the wallets would be available for download then.

cheers

Why the wallet is  a few weeks ago?

Wallet was created last month but was only launched today. We had to make sure that it is working and bug free as far as we know.
There are only 2 of us in the dev team at the moment that's why it took us a long time to launch it.

hope that answers your question.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ozzymax

i get the same error on cgminer 5
i'm currently using cgminer 7 on this, try it.

or you can always do it from the debug window but would be wayyyy slower coz you're only using the cpu instead of the gpu

cheers

is it coin already dead (94000brg) now

No, not dead just launched it today.

definitely not fork, not yet anyways.

I'm looking at the code now, it should be re-targeting difficulty.

If it doesn't I'm going to release an update on or before Monday but people who got to mine their coins before that update will get to keep their mined coins.

It will be public holiday on Friday to Sunday from where I live and I'm going out of town Friday noon will be back Sunday evening so you might not here anything from me till Monday morning till after the long weekend.

my bad... the miner was mining during the synchronization of the wallet (and for some reasons was finding already found blocks ) the "mined" block were orphaned once the synchronization had ended

Now I still get some blocks but this times they are normal (in time) and get validated.

Please check diff retarged now.
If you are waiting till monday most blocks will be already mined.
Think its work for a hour.
Thx and enjoy your weekend

compare block numbers with the pool ones, see if you are mining the same block.

borcoin, looks like the difficulty retarget isn't working...?

Were you able to download the source code from github or from the borgcoin website?

For some reason the difficulty isn't re-targeting as it should.

Please re-download and reinstall the borgcoin client direct from the borgcoin site. Blocks might be orphaned if the pool continues to hash before the update.

networkhashps is missing from the debug console window.

I noticed that in the pool, network hashrate is 0 or 0.01MH/s. Any luck on the re-target?

edit: If you make any changes, could you change them in github aswell? Most people prefer to use github.

Think diff retarget works fine. Before the new wallet we had always the same diff.
Now it changes. Only have not enough miners to get it up. Perhaps add the coin to a coincalender and make some promotion in trollboxes.

It even went lower than before. expected time for network to solve a block was 2 minutes, actual time was 12 seconds.

atm:  "difficulty" : 0.09542260,

Borg said, he somehow made diff go lower when hashrate increases?

I tried to mine solo, keep getting invalid credentials, tried the usual running the wallet as a server, conf file looks ok, batch file ok. flushed dns still can't solo mine.
only ever happened to a few coins in the past, anyone successfully solo-mining?

I have the same issue. Ever figure yours out? Only happened for 1 other coin for me.

nice to hear, will be waiting.

currently testing the fix now, if all goes well the new wallet client will be available for download at the website containing the fix and NOT GITHUB.

everyone should save their wallet data then uninstall their old borgcoin wallet then reinstall the new client downloaded from the borgcoin.org site.

Testing will be finished in 30mins and available for download by then.

If all goes well we should be seeing borgcoin in one of the major exchanges by within next week.

Fingers crossed.

Word of advise, Please do not dump whatever borgcoins you have once on the exchange as you may not know of how much borgcoin will reach in value once we have the offline and online shops starts to accept borgcoins for their merchandise.

The title Bringing order to chaos is the Borg Queen's objective hence the reason they assimilate other species while the phrase "you will be assimilated is nothing than a borg drone's declaration of war before they assimilate a ship or a planet or anyone of interest to the collective.

If you have time you can read the first page of this post and you will know what the coin is all about and whats its purpose. If you still cannot comprehend that please feel free not to mine this coin.

thanks

Looks like this coin has a lot of potential and the devs are active and always online.

Keep up the good work guys. Once this coin is listed on an exchange with a decent exchange rate I will offer to accept borgcoins on my ebay sales page ads. I am selling ant miners S1 and S2 on my ebay ads. Please pm me for details once you get listed on the exchange and will also spread the word with my friends who also sells on ebay and on their own websites.

Got 100k brg coins already after mining it for a few days. fastest coin for me so far. :-)

I don't see why it shouldn't run on xp when you made the previous version run.
There was no change in the code except for the difficulty adjustment and not the os compatibility.

just make sure that its a clean install.

We will have the Borg operational on Coin-Swap (https://coin-swap.net) shortly.

edit: We are getting this error, even after specifying another port in both config file (which it seems to ignore) and command line option.
Code:
Error: Unable to bind to 0.0.0.0:9335 on this computer. Borgcoin is probably already running.

Nothing is running on port 9335 (this is the only coin on this server)

Anyone else run into this from the github source?

We already have an ebay international seller offering to accept borgcoins BRG for payments for his asic miners/ ant miners items for sale on ebay once we get listed on an exchange. coin-swap.net is just having some minor difficulties integrating borgcoin into their system because borgcoin doesn't want to be integrated into their sytem, it wants to assimilate their entire system.  ;D

I tried to envision a realistic scenario in which coins can exist that virtually ASSIMILATE other coins into their own kind:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=520225.0 (skip the introduction to get straight to the concept)

I wonder how much that could be made work and whether Borgcoin could be the first to attempt such a strategy.

I wonder how much that could be made work and whether Borgcoin could be the first to attempt such a strategy.

It's doable but, it sounds more like a virus if your talking about taking over someone else's computer without their consent to assimilate other crypto algo and i don't think other crypto devs and pc owners/miners would appreciate that. Granted for arguments sake you took over the host pc and the cryptos in it and assimilate it and add the amount of crypto coins its supposed to produce, say for example;

borgcoin has 500mil coins to be mined and it assimilated crypto A from the host pc and it has 1bil coins to be mined.
add that 1 bil coins to the 500mil the borgcoin already has and it would make 1.5bil borgcoins after you add the assimilated coin.

1.5bil borgcoins, the volume alone would depreciate and bring down the market price of the borgcoin. how many cryptos out there that has hundreds of billions coins to be mined then factor that in if it gets assimilated how many borgcoins would we have now and how much would the price of the borgcoin would be against the btc/ltc or any real world currency?

borgcoin's aim at the moment is to be used to purchase real world items once its gets listed into an exchange. this is the one thing most cryptos failed to have or do. we do not expect to have a value of 1btc/brg. borgcoin's main purpose is to have at least a value of between $1 USD to $10USD per borgcoin, that way it would be viable for the merchants to accept the crypto currency for purchase of their items online or offline.

once we have established at least a few merchants that accept brg coins then we would proceed to phase 2 of our plan which is to establish an android ios app where people can transfer their brg coins into their devices and carry it with them anywhere then go to a shop that accept borgcoins then just pay/transfer coins on the spot for an item or service purchased.

then after that is established then we move on to phase 3 which is to establish our own delta quadrant borgcoin exchange that would be a home for other weird crypto currency that hasn't been given a chance by the big exchanges that has potential for large volumes of trades. after that we move to...

phase 4 of the borg queens plan which is to establish a borgcoin bank where you can deposit and withdraw borgcoins from anywhere anytime using any device with online connectivity. the main kicker is you can have a savings account or your borgcoins time deposited and it would earn interest in borgcoins overtime. when we say time deposit it means that you put in your brg coins for an x amount of time ie; 1 to 5yrs and after that term it would have earned you a percentage of borgcoins ( details are still being ironed out as we speak). this would be a huge undertaking for us here at borgcoin central so we are still in the planning stages for phase 4. then after that.....

maybe.. that's the time we would start to think how to assimilate other cryptos into our collective and how to do it. right now i have a rough idea on how to do it but its needs more time planning the finer details on how to implement and execute the plan. easier said than done. we hate shit coins and would love for them to get assimilated by the borgcoin. failure to plan is planning to fail. so as you can see borgcoin is here to stay and we have short term and long term plans for this crypto and we are not just another pump and dump shit coin that has hit the market. the only thing we ask the borgcoin community is patience and continued support. all those who where with us (ie; pool operators, miners, bloggers) from the very beginning will profit from this greatly once all this has been achieved. i am telling you all this so you can have a good idea of our time line and what our deadlines are so you can have a better understanding of where the assimilation part falls in.

don't get me wrong, i love the idea of assimilating other crypto coins but the when where and how needs to be ironed out first. if you have some great ideas on how please do share i would love to hear your suggestions. you can pm me or just reply to the post either way works for me.

at this point in time we would like to give the chance for other crypto devs out there to join the borgcoin collective and add their crypto volume to borgcoin than get assimilated later on. joins us now and help us bring order to chaos in the crypto industry. it would be great to have a crypto industry with just a few performing coins rather than have hundreds that are saturated with just pump and dump coins serving and profiting only the devs and not the community that supports.

Message to pump and dump devs and you have a limited time to consider this offer before being assimilated. Individuality is irrelevant, you must comply. Borgcoin is highly adaptable

WE ARE THE BORGCOIN YOU'RE TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT AND DISTINCTIVENESS WILL BE ADDED TO OUR OWN, YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED.
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

with that i leave you with this clip  ;)

i also have other exchanges lined up just not announcing it yet till its officially listed coz i might jinx it again.

although we value constructive criticism we do not tolerate post here that are not really helpful, i understand you're trying to be funny but please go seek attention somewhere else coz your face palms is in no way amusing at all coz we're doing our best over here and if you cannot help or contribute please stay away from my op. i really hate attention seekers.

nice talk... but when do we get to an exchange in the first place ?

(and I am sorry but you really deserve this triple facepalm for what happened with the only exchange which accepted the coin)

yes we are in negotiation with some online and offline shops and online games providers but sadly they are all still waiting for borgcoin to be listed in at least one exchange so they can gauge whether it'd be profitable for them to have a tie up with borgcoin.

I've got several of them already committed and waiting for coin-swap to list borgcoins. coin-swap currently is having some issues trying to assimilate borgcoins into their collective server systems thats why we still can't see brg coin in their exchange, but once it gets listed i will update the forums asap and then can move on to the next phase of the borgcoin evolution. i will have borgcoins listed in at least 3 exchanges before moving on to phase 2 of the borgcoin master plan.  thanks for the support and keep mining borgcoins before it gets listed on the exchange and people catch and that would increase that diff rating or you if you prefer you can just buy borgcoins from the exchange once it gets listed and it would be easier that way.

and also please help us get listed to Cryptsy by voting for us at https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000276151 (https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000276151)

tell your friends, family and co-workers about borgcoin coz this will be the future of retail online and offline industry. also if you have an online game in mind that you want to accept borgcoins as payment for game credits please do let us know and we will endeavor to talk to them whenever we get the chance.

at the moment we are looking at league of legends, world of warcraft, priston tale and total domination by plarium games.
we are planning on having a chat with steam but they are a pretty big company so are currently devising a plan on how to get their attention.

fyi borgcoin is backed by a marketing team with more than 25 years of experience for sales and marketing worldwide, so these guys really know what their talking about and can walk the walk.

Borgcoin update:

I just heard from coin-swap this morning and the lead tech manager advised me that they are not giving up on borgcoin and is doing everything they can to integrate borgcoin into their systems.

It would seem that the security features that we've incorporated into the borgcoin code that would give the coin additional security for online and offline purchases is giving them a bit of grief but is still pushing through with listing borgcoin into coin-swap.

it is strongly suggested that you create you account now with coin-swap.net and avoid the rush once borgcoin gets listed into their exchange.

more to come....

Additionally we are getting more votes for cryptsy https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000276151 (https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000276151)
and we are working on getting cryptsy on the phone to discuss how borgcoin can be added to their exchange.

We are also in negotiation with a computer store offline vendor in Sydney Australia and if they agree to accept borgcoins that means people can buy pc's and gpu's and pc parts from them and they can ship worldwide. It all depends now on when borgcoin will be listed into an exchange. Their website will be announced here once we come into an agreement.

Android and IOS app coming soon so you can store and bring your borgcoins with you whenever and wherever you want.

Stay tuned and happy mining.  :)

Hi Ian,

Thanks so much for all your hard work and for not giving up on borgcoin. In behalf of the whole borgcoin community we thank you. :-)

There is a slight problem though. Borgcoin symbol is BRG and not BORG. Never the less i think BRG coins should be able to be deposited and traded into the exchange.

Thanks

e-miningpool.net is moving to a new stratum platform. Sorry for all the downtimes, I don't have enough free time to deal with the pool atm. WIll try to keep it up.

I've made manual payout to everybody who had their borg wallet address added under accounts. all e-miningpool.net pools are down. Trying to upgrade.

Borgcoin update:

Borgcoin wallet now fixed. You can now deposit, withdraw and trade borgcoins on coin-swap.net (http://coin-swap.net),  even though the symbol is still BORG instead of BRG this should not affect any deposits, withdrawals or trading of the borgcoins, we have already notified coin-swap of this oversight and expect it to be rectified soon.

Thank you

more to come....

Notes : In 2368 the Enterprise-D discovered a Borg scout ship crashed on a moon in the Argolis Cluster. They rescued an individual whom they named Hugh from the wreckage; Hugh later returned to the crash site and was recovered by another scout ship.

In 2369, The Enterprise encountered a new form of Borg vessel which did not conform to the standard cube design. They discovered that Hugh had been a member of the crew of this vessel, and that his return to the ship after developing his own sense of individuality had caused the destruction of the collective mind on board this particular ship. The ship had drifted for some time before coming under the control of the android Lore, who used it and the Borg in an attempt to take over the Federation.

It quickly became apparent that the new Borg vessel was capable of generating transwarp conduits which allowed it to travel at incredible speeds. One such conduit was accessed by the Enterprise-D - the ship covered sixty light years in eight seconds, an average of 236,000,000 times lightspeed. Standard Borg cubes do not seem to be able to achieve this level of speed, so Starfleet analysts have theorized that the new design was an advanced prototype built by the Borg to test out a newly assimilated transwarp technology. The vessel is capable of operating in the second transwarp domain, at speeds approaching Warp 30 - a feat which is far beyond standard Borg vessels. It was evidently sent out on a test flight to the Argolis cluster, a trip which would take some two and a half hours with this drive system.

The Borg ship fought several small skirmishes with the Enterprise-D, which eventually masked itself by hiding within the outer layers of a star. The Federation vessel subsequently used its phasers to create a large solar flare which destroyed the borg ship.

The absence of further examples of this type of vessel indicates that the Borg have abandoned this technology - it is possible that they took the destruction of the collective on the prototype as a sign that the technology was somehow flawed. In any case, they do not seem to be constructing more ships of this kind - a fact for which the peoples of the galaxy can be profoundly grateful.

Hi, i will have a look into that, in the meantime if you might want to get in touch with one of the forum members "muhhentuhhen" to get some tips on setting up borgcoin on linux.
He successfully hosted borgcoin pool http://e-miningpool.net but halted it for the time being due to the fact that the borgcoin difficulty is still quite low and can still be mined successfully using a regular pc with a decent gpu and can still generate hundreds of blocks per week.

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for your concern. Borgcoin has been developed similarly to the BTC source code and as like the btc some blocks are harder to solve hence it takes more time getting over some difficult blocks especially if the network hashing power is limited to a few thousand mega hash per second sometimes even less. The more miners that mine the coin means that network hash power will increase and it will take less time to solve a block.
Hope that answers your questions and as always if you or any member of the borgcoin community have any queries at all please don't hesitate to drop a message into our mail or here at the forums.

Thank you

Borgcoin admin

yeah thanks for the reminder.

the above links are active links and even if someone clicks on them it will just take them to that website. as long as you don't send them bitcoins you'd be alright.

the other link which is for checking out bitcoin scam sites which i find useful but im in no way affiliated with them and i only use that site for reference.

No, Borgcoin is not dead. we are on standby for coin-swap's new management to adapt all its currently listed coins and at the same time we are waiting for coin-swap's old management team to set up their new exchange so we can have Borgcoin listed there as well. For the mean time we are still following up our listing application from other exchanges.

Thank you

Coin-Swap Update:
From Coin-Swap mail;

Coin-Swap.net will be closing on March 22, please withdraw all funds before this date.

Coin-Swap.net was sold on December 31, 2014 and we recently received instructions to close the exchange permanently.

The servers will be terminated and the Amazon account will be closed. We will not be able to retrieve any funds after this date. Please make sure you have withdrawn all funds before this date.

If you are experiencing an issue with a withdrawal please head to our IRC channel. Do not email support.
Support link: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=%23coin-swap&uio=d4

We, the Coin-Swap.net staff, want to thank you for using our exchange. The idea for Coin-Swap.net started on day 3 after DOGE coin was launched and there wasn't an exchange that traded the "joke" coin. A month later we opened an escrow style exchange and two months after that we had a real time exchange. Through hard work and organice growth we became a successful trading platform built on stability and customer service. It has been an incredible journey and we hope you have been pleased with the service. We wish you the best and hope to see you around in the community.

smaller ones doesn't have the volume of trades required by borgcoin hence we tend to stay away from smaller exchanges as much as we can plus they don't have the stability and security being by the bigger exchanges.

I think a better version of a "Borgcoin" would be a system that utilizes hashing power to attack and assimilate dying blockchains, forming a sort of super blockchain.  As the system accumulated hashing power it could attack larger and larger networks.

Should anyone be interested in the source code for this coin it is here: https://github.com/borgcoin/Borgcoin001.git
I have verified that it works by transferring some BRG from Cryptopia :)

Any ideas on how to do that?

Hi guys, im back after a long absence. real life needs to be prioritized at the moment. lots of things going on. will need volunteers to bring BRG up to speed again. particularly mining pools, exchanges, bloggers and nodes. pump team would also be good. lol

more to come.

I've compiled and added BRG to my pool yesterday. There are a few issues with BRG.

DIFF is not changing, it says every 30 minutes but that is not happening. Although the pool found blocks they are being orphaned. I have no way of checking if it is on the right chain, blockheight reported is 75879.

Ports are stated incorrectly, looking at init.cpp in your sourcecode it clearly says
PORT (P2P) = 9335
RPC PORT = 9334

Do we have any working blockchain atm?

will have to look at the ports a bit later as i am reformatting my windows machines, prefer running BRG wallet on windows than linux. Any links to your pool?

Thanks for your update.

It seems to be running, although slow. My pool is at http://coincave.nl . IP  address is 84.29.56.160 .
addnode=84.29.56.160 in your borgcoin.conf should do the trick and make sure P2P port 9335 is open in your firewall. 9334 is your RPC port.
I can get a blockexplorer running too as soon as this diff adjust issue is resolved.

I'm not an expert so correct me if I'm wrong. Current main.cpp code has the following lines:

static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 14 * 24 * 60 * 60; // two weeks
static const int64 nTargetSpacing = 10 * 60;

That would mean that diff re-target takes place only once every 14 days (2 weeks). It should be 0.5 * 60 * 60 to make it change every 30 minutes.
The second line tells me that the blocktime is 10 minutes instead of 2 minutes. This should be 2 * 60.

Might be worth making some changes to get this coin back on track again.

Ah yes, also missing is networkhashrate from the current client.

Ah yes looks good. I will be mining by mid next week if i can find that old pc somewhere. Don't want to throw all my gpu miners to just yet as it might be an unfair advantage to people who'd still want to mine and earn BRG coin. Once we get the hash to a few hundred Mega hash then maybe thats the time we can ramp it all up :) don't want to pre mine it before everyone else gets their chance. But your doing great at the moment and please keep up the good work.

I'd be happy to take a look once I get the time as it has always been busy irl so if there's anyone who's got the spare time to check this issue out please feel free to. Then we can upload it to github as an update. Reformatting  my windows machine as we speak.

Hello everyone, that's right the BORG queen is back from her long hybernation. Have you all been good drones?
As you can see from the previous posts that we are slowly trying to get BRG coin back to its feet. We have a working BRG mining pool and a temporary block explorer please feel free to check out Spekske's post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=574236.msg12574502#msg12574502 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=574236.msg12574502#msg12574502)

Also please check out cryptopia exchange at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=BRG_LTC (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=BRG_LTC)

My only request is once we get the BRG trading active again don't go and dump all your coins as this would drastically affect the BRG value.

Imagine if we can at least get BRG between $5 and $10 against the usd and trading actively with high volumes, remember our end goal is to make BRG mainstream and get adapted by everyone not to make a quick buck.

We might even hold a contest and try to search for a BORG king, the queen gets lonely from time to time you know. ;)

Soon I will be designating active borg drone members to be sector commanders. What this means is that you will be in charge of everything BRG in your sector ie: North American sector, far east sector, middle east sector, asian sector etc etc.

We cannot do this alone that's why we need the help of the community and every borg drone. Any volunteer help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded in the end. Spread the word, blog about borgcoin in you facebook, tweeter, youtube, steemit, wordpress sites whatever online presence  you have. Tell your friend about borgcoin and teach them how to get into it. We need to create that buzz once again. So my BORG drones please go to every corner of the galaxy and spread the news that the BORG queen is back and we will be assimilating their pathetic little world soon. :)

More to come...

Resistance is futile.

As we may all know that the BORG queen is a little bit busy irl and some other assimilation stuff we are currently seeking some volunteers to join our dev team. We are also in need of thread moderators who can assist other community members with their questions.

If anyone would be interested to join the borg dev team please pm us.

Thank you

Hi,
Great to hear you're back. I knew holding the BRG bag would pay off some day  :)
Been told by a friend of mine close to one of your dev team about your plans for the borg coin for the coming months and I logged back in to cryptopia and its safe to say that I am now buying as much BRG as I can so when the prices do go up i'll be one of the early adopters that will hold hundreds of millions of brg coins, i know it's only a matter of when not if. Anyways your secret is safe with me and my friends whom i've convinced to hoard as much BRG as we can. Be seeing you. thanks --frank

ps sent you pm for dev pos.

Yes, can see the active trading now @ cryptopia. Hope we get more volume trading soon not just people wanting to dump. Borgcoin plans are no secret to the community however we chose to keep it under wraps for now and may come as a pleasant surprise once we unveil on the coming months. We need more loyal dedicated people like you trading the Brg. Keep up the good work. 😀

Looking at OP of this coin and it came to me that this coin would perfectly fit into some space exploration game. There is one actually just coming out of beta version and will be fully ready to play from 8th June further on. Maybe you should get in contact with CrypoDatabase and start with talks of probability for adding your coin to his game. Its a long shot, but still. Its Borg, damn.

Oh, yes, it is this game i am talking about, a Dragon Knights of Valeria 2: Universe (http://dkv2.com). Step into the Valerian Universe and begin your next journey today. Planets, Battle Cruisers, Drones, Rebels, and more await you in this turn-based space strategy game.

Yeah, at least asking should not hurt, although some funding should be secured for being listed in this game and probably recurring monthly. So be prepared. Only 1 day left and game will go live for real. See you there.

Wallet is here - https://github.com/borgcoin/Borgcoin001
Syncs up fine if you use the two nodes Cryptopia has, and I see that ProHashing also has one running.

Looks like I've been the only one mining for a minute, but eh well. Sure wish some others would jump onto the hobbyistpool one because the difficulty seems to be hung at 33 and has been for days. I tossed a couple brief rentals at it, but at 260 confirms, dipping back down to my lightweight hardware I actually have makes it take 20 forevers to pull a block.

yeah would like to dedicate some time to marketing campaigns for the brg but currently a bit busy irl and a bit tight on budget leading up to christmas.
Would definitely welcome volunteers who wants to do some marketing campaigns for the brg and do some word of mouth as well. As we can see currently in cryptopia we still lack the volume for us to be able to be traded with btc and other major cryptos. Been trying to hunt down gene rodenberry these past couple of years to have him endorse the brg but still to no avail.
wish someone would also do some tweeter and fb and yt campaign for the brg if they have the spare time. the way cryptopia sees it is people mining brg and juist dumping them there, wish they could see more buy trades for the brg for it to be taken seriously by other traders. Anyone planning a project for the brg you can pm me at any time or just post it here. tnx

The pool is using standard vardiff settings for nomp. Min diff of 8 and max of 1024, retargetTime of 30s.

I could setup some static diff ports and / or lower the min diff if it becomes an issue.

I can report that I have, without any problems, crushed through 10 blocks with my own equipment (which are in 2 physical locations on 2 completely different ISPs).

Perhaps check your latency to the pool. It's hosted in eastern Canada.

I'll consider lowering the pool fee the next time the service needs restarting.

Yes we are aware of this, One of our dev teams are pool hopping testing each and every pool constantly and giving us useful feedback.

For those still unaware, solo mining using your pc's gpu  on current borgcoin difficulty will take much longer than mining with a pool which significantly increases ones chances of getting rewarded with blocks.

We are trying to migrate to a new domain

I own BorgCoin.Space and BorgCoin.net if the project were interested in using one of them as the official.

I slapped up a makeshift page on BorgCoin.space and wouldn't take much more work to wrap it up.

Good, first order of business is we would like to know what sort of skills you have either a crypto dev/enthusiast, web dev etc. What is your field of specialty that would be in line/relevant to being a crypto dev, in other words what are you bringing into the table. pm me your reply or post it here which ever you prefer. After that I will have someone send you all the data to upload to our new official website.

Note to all: Borgoin001 from github repo will be updated in the coming days solving the retargetting issue and some other minor bugs. We will do this once the website is up as we have not beta tested the new brg wallet with mods yet.

We will also going to be deploying at least 1500Mh/s to increase the network hashrate  to speed up the confirmation times of brg transfers once the dev who owns those rigs are satisfied that the increase in speed of confirm times won't be used to dump all their borgcoins to the exchange resulting in the depreciation of value of our coin.

That is all for now

Hi Everyone!

I'm happy to report that the Borg Queen and I have worked together to sort out the share rejection / difficulty issue that the pool was having.

I've also opened up numerous static diff ports for those that are interested.

And additionally, I've lowered the fee to 0.15%.

Announcement:

Just to drop a quick note to the borgcoin community that we at the unacomplex together with other borg drones (devs) might have come up with the solution on assimilating other crypto altcoins with or without their devs' consent, assimilate their code, blockchain, value added to our own. We will be beta testing the new and upgraded borgcoin code in the coming days/weeks and will release the updates as soon as its stable and ready. Would appreciate it if everyone could spread the news to your fellow borg drones. We will bring chaos into their order and order into ours and their technological distinction will be added to our. Perfection is at hand.

We need some volunteers for beta testing of the new borgcoin code that assimilates other dead or active cryptos.
As we see it borg code does not discriminate between sha256 or scrypt or any other algo. If it has a blockchain borg will eat it up chew it and spit it out as a borg drone. We are currently discussing with our lawyers if there are any legal implications with any actions (assimilation) that the borg code does.

In the mean time let the beta testing begin. PM me if anyone is interested to test drive the new borg code, will reply only if you are chosen.

Thank you for the submitting your interest in beta testing the new borgcoin code to assimilate other altcoins. Submissions are now closed and we will be reviewing the applications and will only reply to those chosen to run and beta test the new code.

In the mean time we will be open to suggestions, which altcoin should be the first to be assimilated to add to our distinctiveness and coin value.
The way its suppose to work is when the altcoin (with their corresponding blockchain) has been assimilated any borgcoin transferred to that coin address will be accepted by its blockchain and hence will be able to trade it against any crypto if they hold any value against any exchange.

ie; 10millionBRG transferred to DOGE wallet then trade it against BTC then USDT = $$$

So, who should be the first to get assimilated? Post your suggestions below.

hmm, that's a hard one. why not try to assimilate the dead ones first then if it works we can move on to the ones with better coin value. hope we can take ltc in the fututre. lol
