About Twilight coin

Twilight coin is the cryptocurrency which is using a new upgraded X11 hashing algorithm with sophisticated block reward formula to make mining as fair as possible. Fast block time (1 minute) helps transactions to be confirmed quickly without delays. It is green too, because it's up to 30% more energy efficient and it keeps your GPUs cooler. Which is better unless you live in Australia where the winter is coming very soon :)

Fair Premine

Okay, a coin is launched and there is no premine or instamine. A hundreds of miners start mining it. And everybody wants this coin to fly to the Moon. Good idea, but who is gonna work days and nights to push it? Somebody must have an interest to do this job. We've seen quite a few coins that had a really good start and were "fair" - with no instamine or premine. After a month or two we could trade them for 1 satoshi. We've also seen another coins with no premine and they were successful. But if you look carefully into the blockchain you may find something really interesting and it would explain why dev team worked so hard to make the coin popular. ;-)

As for us, we want to be honest. We want TWC coin to be our long-term project and we want to have a reason to stay in it. That's why there is a fair premine of 0.5%. 0.1% will be shared among the team who launched it. 0.2% will be spent on ongoing support and development. And 0.2% will be spent on bounties.

And if you feel like you can join us and bring a good value to TWC coin - please do not hesitate to contact us and we'll share some coins from the development fund. Because we want our coin to be as widely used as possible.

Why Twilight coin is a green solution?

Well, it's not green by its color and it's not literally saving trees in Amazon rainforest. It's green because it's more efficient in the following ways:

  • As we mentioned above, it reduces hardware temperature and energy consumption. Which means you save on your electricity bills.
  • Lower temperatures will help your hardware to last longer.
  • The coin can be mined with both CPU and GPU, so none of the processor units will be idling.
  • The block reward formula helps to maintain a reasonable balance between network hashrate/difficulty and mining outcome.

Thus, the higher difficulty will cause the block reward to be reduced and it would keep some miners away from TwilightCoin helping reward to get back to a normal level.

Difficulty      Reward
0-34     10
35-111     9
112-201     8
202-308     7
309-441     6
442-609     5
610-837     4
838-1174     3
1175-1764     2
>=1765     1

Yes, it is ASIC resistant!

We should mention ASIC resistance of TwilightCoin; it is a "must have" feature since we can see new ASIC for scrypt algo have been released recently and more will be unpacked this summer! ASIC will not impact TwilightCoin network and even will help it grow by pushing out those miners with GPU rigs and redirecting them to our ASIC-proof network from ordinary scrypt coins.

DNS Node Seeder

TwilightCoin network features DNS Node Seeder support. This reliable and convenient technology allows to seamlessly integrate automatic node configuration into the wallet so you don't need to create config files with nodes and never need to update them!

Ummm, all that math looks a bit complicated, but it seem to make a good sense.

Looking forward to see it live.

Fast block time (1 minute) helps transactions to be confirmed quickly without delays.

Without delays?? Like under one femtosecond? But wait, you said something about 1 minute? I am confused now!

1 minute block = faster transactions than darkcoin. I like it! And your block reward system looks fair enough. Many coins suffer from overmining so reducing block reward as difficulty grows you cut out miners who mine and dump and keep the coin rare! Nice! :-)

Okay so for block reward, int(10000000/(((D/2+1000)/10)^3)+0.5), which equals int(10/(D/2000+1)^3+0.5) by the way, simplify it for chrissake. But max possible reward also drops incrementally over time, 0.5% every 43200 blocks. So at some times one factor will control and some times the other. Have I got that right?

edit: one other thing. why continue to make the block reward value an integer? Both these bounds want to be floating point (or in practice nearest satoshi, I guess). It seems like a completely unnecessary restriction unless I'm missing something.

I've noticed a few coin algorithms that have increased block reward with increasing difficulty, and other coins are the opposite. I wonder which one is better?

smells bad, 0.5 premine doesn't sound like much but considering how low rewards are this means devs will hold huge bags, that is a no no for me, plenty of fair coins to support without crap premine/ipo.

In TwilightCoin the main goal of reduced reward is keeping the difficulty in reasonable frames. Also it helps to get rid of "dumpers". Those miners who're only interested to mine and dump the coin immediately to get a quick profit will not be interested to do so at some point if the reward will drop. They will leave the network and allow difficulty to return to its "normal" state. It also helps to keep balance of coin's value.

I, personally, don't give a s#it about pre- or instamine as long as a coin is stable and well-promoted.
I'll mine this for a while to see how it goes.

Yes, you're right about the formula, it may be simplified :-)

Both factors works simultaneously. First, reward is calculated based on difficulty factor formula and the result is integer from 1 to 10. Then the result is reduced by the second factor depending on block number
(0.5% decrease every 30 days or 43 200 blocks, i.e. result from the first formula is multiplied by 0.995 number of times equal to number of 43200 blocks intervals passed, 0.995^x, where 'x' is the number of
43200 blocks intervals passed). The second result isn't integer anymore.

ever wondered why these devs have accounts with zero posts?  it's because he just sets up a new username for each new coin.

Twilight coin features more sophisticated block reward formula that makes it energy efficient and helps to maintain network difficulty at a moderate level not allowing dumpers to ruin the value of the coin. Twilight coin is different to HiroCoin, not "better" or "worse". :-)

Bestsponsor, can you please open a discussion for this issue in a separate thread?
And then we'll encourage OKAYPOOL to provide us with their point of view?

It's important for all Twilightcoin miners to work with reliable pools only, however, we can't really judge Okaypool until we see same proof or at least some details on your experience.
And since this thread is dedicated to Twilightcoin launch, we would like to ask you to start this discussion in a new thread and post the link here.

Thank you.

That's not true, most of those coins will be used as bounties and payments to developers and promoters.
If you can promote Twilight Coin or do any development we will pay you for that too.

There is no coin which promoted itself, it's always people who do the job.
So if you think it's unfair - come on in, join us.

For example, we need a couple of block explorers to be created.
Please let us know if you can help.

Thanks for pointing out the massive pre-mine. They hide it with a smaller percentage than most but the block reward is a dead giveaway. This centralizes the coin in their control. They can crash the price at any time and no one else can. A fair premine for development would be .2% of each block. Then no one can crash the price of the coin by dumping it.

Again, you are not getting the point.

Your reward strategy is anti-miner. Your bounty and development/promotion premine is too high. Miners get nothing while those guys get everything. See now? you need BALANCE.

MisO69,

Thank you for sharing your opinion.
Our primary focus is on two things - development and promotion.
A coin which has both would have a good value and there will be enough miners who would be happy with the profit they are getting.

On the other hand, if we follow the rule you proposed and take a commission of 0.2% from each block, it would take a year before we gather enough coins to pay for Android wallet or to publish an article.

No miner will wait for a year and the coin would be dead before it got any promotion. And we don't think that's the way TWC miners would want us to follow.

X11 is good, as it saves about 30% of the energy. However, it seems to me that coins with a short mining period are the most energy efficient ones. If you look at Asia coin for example. Mining stops in 2 weeks so the energy used for mining would be a small fraction of what it would be for a coin that has a 5 year mining period. Even though Asia coin is a script coin, it would still be much more energy efficient than some X11 coins.

A 0.5% reduction of reward every 30 days is very small. You don't put any limit on the mining period, so it seems to me that your coin could be mined for years, however long it takes for the coins to run out. How long can the twilight coin be mined?

Well, 100% premine would be even more energy efficient, wouldn't it?
A coin with continuous mining has two benefits:
- Continuous mining attracts new miners, therefore more people will be interested in promotion.
- Higher volumes required to maintain stable exchange rate when the coin becomes widely used.

The total mining life of the coin depends on few factors and it'll take years to mine the final block.
It's been designed as a long term project.

The launch is in 25 hours, we need to get ready :)

Yes, you can use DarkCoin miners! We've provided a download link for both CPU and GPU miners.

Though there are a few POS only coins that are 100% premine, most aren't. In fact, the coin I mentioned above "Asia coin" has no premine. But your POW coin has some premine

Volume has nothing to do with the argument. Whether the coin is POW or POS, the developers can make the volume to be as high or low as they want by varying the total number of blocks and the reward per block.

A 0.5% reduction of reward every 30 days is very small. You don't put any limit on the mining period, so it seems to me that your coin could be mined for years, however long it takes for the coins to run out. How long can the twilight coin be mined?

It's been designed as a long term project.

That argument is reasonable if you are speaking strictly about POW only coins. But POW/POS coins are long-term, regardless of the mining period, because POS takes over after POW stops.

I think that it's fair to say that using X11 makes your coin more energy efficient and your coin is probably more energy efficient than some of the other POW coins. But POW/POS coins beat your coin's energy efficiency by a long shot.

Well, I never intended to start an argument on POW vs POW/POS. I'm just taking issue with calling this coin energy efficient or "green", since there are other coins out there that are much more so.

We've never called it "the most energy efficient".
We call it "green" just because it's efficient. In a few ways.

That wasn't what I was suggesting.

The income you get from the coin, the developer payment (salary if you will) should be taken block by block, like us miners. Its more fair this way and keeps the developers and promoters paid and gives them a reason to stay with the coin.

The bounties and bribe money for the exchanges should be taken immediately at block 0 and held in public escrow. Where anyone can see the ledger and only the escrow service has access to the coins.

With these two things, good promotion and fair distribution you will have a very successful coin.

rpcuser=u
rpcpassword=p
listen=1
rpctimeout=30
rpcport=3333
server=1
daemon=1
gen=0

and this bat file for the miner: sgminer.exe --kernel darkcoin -o localhost:3333 -u u -p p

I have found around 8+ blocks already, but they are not showing up in my Twilight Coin wallet.
Not even under transactions with a timer showing the number of confirmations left.

Do I have this setup right? How can I make them appear in my wallet?

Sounds like orphans, that happens when someone else mines the same block as you,but just a fraction faster.

You would be better off at this point swapping over and mining at one of the pools.

Does the issue still persist?
Does your wallet have synchronization with the network?

If you post your wallet address here maybe somebody can send you a fraction of a coin to test it.

I have found around 8+ blocks already, but they are not showing up in my Twilight Coin wallet.
Not even under transactions with a timer showing the number of confirmations left.

Do I have this setup right? How can I make them appear in my wallet?

Does the issue still persist?
Does your wallet have synchronization with the network?

If you post your wallet address here maybe somebody can send you a fraction of a coin to test it.

Still having the problem.. Have found 5 more solo blocks since the other post and still nothing.. not even a sign of it in my wallet. This is my address: TXBAboFVn8sbf9i3uecrQTFgveudEYKso4

One of our developers had sent you 0.5 TWC to test synchronization.
Please let us know if it went throught successfully.

We would advise you to mine in a pool though, with the hashrate pushing 1GH/s it might be a better option for you.

Your hashrate is too low.
Iit's about 1/2700 of the network.

Which means you'll get one block in 2700 minutes (average).

What kind of hardware do you have?
If your hashrate is really 17KH/s, you won't get any valid blocks with network hashrate near 1GH/s.

We would like to thank Twilight community for joining us today.
It's been 12 hours since we went live and we already have 1.4 GH/s network, p2p pools, a couple of exchanges, some promotion and very supportive community.

Now we want to ask you which one of exchange markets do you prefer TWC to be traded at?
Some markets are more expensive to get to and even high volumes wouldn't help it. So we need to choose wisely.

We would like to hear your opinion.

I would say Poloniex would be a good target.
However, since they don't have a clear voting system it's a bit hard to figure out what do we need to do to get there.

I guess we all should send requests to Poloniex so they see how we support this coin.

Now we want to ask you which one of exchange markets do you prefer TWC to be traded at?
Some markets are more expensive to get to and even high volumes wouldn't help it. So we need to choose wisely.

I would say Poloniex would be a good target.
However, since they don't have a clear voting system it's a bit hard to figure out what do we need to do to get there.

I guess we all should send requests to Poloniex so they see how we support this coin.

yeah have todo that. lets go to poloniex  ;D

Attention TwilightCoin community!

Issue with windows wallet has been fixed. Please re-download a new version of the wallet from the site, single-file executable version can be run as is, setup version can be simply re-installed over the existing version. There is no need to delete or resync or re-download blockchain.

Window setup wallet: www.twilightcoin.com/download/twilightcoin-0.9.0.0-win32-setup.exe (http://www.twilightcoin.com/download/twilightcoin-0.9.0.0-win32-setup.exe)
Windows single-file wallet: www.twilightcoin.com/download/twilightcoin-qt.exe (http://www.twilightcoin.com/download/twilightcoin-qt.exe)

I must delete and re-download blockchain.

Issue with windows wallet has been fixed.

That was really quick!

I remember I mined Microcoin a couple of months ago and suddenly all wallets stopped synchronizing.
It took them ~17 hours to chase down that issue and get it fixed.

Any explanation what had happened with TWC wallet?

Any explanation what had happened with TWC wallet?

It was Dark Gravity Wave v.2 bug which affected Win32 wallets.
In some cases re-download of blockchain may be required (not always).

If you are still stuck at the block 1354 after wallet re-installation - please close wallet, remove everything BUT wallet.dat in the twilightcoin folder of your profile and run wallet again.

Please don't remove wallet.dat file accidentally! Copy it into another folder before removing any files.

The file is kind of blocked and Chrome removes it after the download is finished.
However, if you go to your Downloads folder, you'll see that file renamed as "inconfirmedxxx.crdownload".

You can try to rename it back to twilight coin wallet file name.

Maybe devs can come up with a fix or better instructions.

on day one the price hasnt been set, so thats kinda hard, when markets get hold of it, then we can se how much people are willing to pay for the coins, and smile when the profits start rolling in. :)

Why x11 and not n-scrypt?
because scrypt-n is obsolete rubish, which consumes two times more energy than x11, and x11 is more secure

The consumption of n-scrypt depends on how big current n-value is.

I've mined Vertcoin recently and then switched to Twilight. Average consumption dropped by ~35-40 percent.

Twilight coin should "goes to the moon" due soe factor as
  -  energy efficience in mining
  -  it can'be be monopolized by the big hashers or pools (everyone has a chance to mak some mining)

between others...

TWC won todays Get Listed program, we are in the process of listing this coin on CryptoALTeX.

We were wondering is there a transaction fee built into the coin?  If so what have you been seeing on average when sending coins?

Sometimes it's 0.001 TWC, sometimes it's nothing.
Can't figure out exactly, but you won't go wrong if you deduct this amount from each transfer.
At least until rate is lower than 1 BTC :D

As long as the premine is not dumped on a market I'm not concerned.

Devs already sent some bounties to the guys who helped with wallets and pools.
And I guess getting to an exchange market costs something too.

So, tweet @BittrexExchange to please add @twilight_coin to their exchange, as well. Just once, don't spam them.

Guys, look what I found this morning. There were some speculations about Vertcoin's instamine, but the article I found explains perfectly how it was done and how big was the instamine.
I have a link on my other PC, so if anybody's interested I'll find and post it later.
My respects to the author, he/she did amazing job researching this.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dark side of Vertcoin - huge instamine uncovered!

What is Vertcoin?
Vertcoin is a cryptographic currency, similar to Bitcoin and Litecoin, with one major difference.
...

Premine - None

Every day there is a new coin launched and both miners and investors have one mutual concern - whether the coin has any premine or instamine. I guess we all understand why they are so concerned - nobody wants the price to fall down when high volume of premined coins is thrown to exchange markets.

In order to be honest with their communities development teams do public announcements. They claim how big is the premine and how they are going to spend it. This information can be verified if you go through coin's blockchain and track where the coins have settled down. Needless to say, some people try to avoid premined crypto currencies to eliminate risks mentioned above.

On the other hand, can you feel safe if you invest into a currency with no premine or instamine? Well, let's find out by using Vertoin's blockchain (http://explorer.vertcoin.org/) as an example.

As our epigraph suggests, "no one has received a large amount of free coins". Take a look at blocks from ~800 to ~4000 and list of the addresses these blocks' rewards finally went to.

Most of them fall into the same pattern:

- 20-25 blocks were mined in the range from 800 to 4000 (but some of them kept on mining significantly longer, till the next day) and went to one of addresses listed below
- mining started at ~09:38 and stopped at ~11:10-11:25 (officially Vertcoin was launched at 09:00) with a second group continuing to mine till the next day.

That is to say, more than 100 "miners" started at the same time with one group stopped after ~2 hours of mining and the second one mined till the beginning of the next day. Let's take a look where the proceeds from these miners went to. It turned out that all of these blocks had finally consolidated into just 7 addresses (txid, consolidation times, blocks and amounts):

With a total amount of 111,550.81 VTC (these are the proceeds from the miners under our consideration, not counting other sources).

It's obvious that all of these coins were mined by one person or group of persons who know each other. Who was it?

The answer is simple when you figure out how that mining was done. There was a large number of preconfigured miners started at the same time. Most likely some cloud service was involved with huge number of VPS servers started from a template at the same time (please note that Vertcoin was a CPU-only coin at the very beginning). DigitalOcean isn't under consideration for two reasons: each and every VPS should be started manually, and there is a limit of total number of VPSes. Most likely, Amazon AWS EC2 instances have been used (or similar cloud provider). With Amazon AWS EC2 it's possible to start large number of instances from a single template, there are also some limits imposed to the number of instances, but it's possible to raise them in advance by the means of request to the support, and it's also possible to use multiple accounts and launch instances sharing the same template (AMI snapshot) from different accounts. If that's not enough, there are multiple locations available with their own limits. So, one should do the following:

1. Launch an instance.
2. Download sources of Vertcoin and sources of Vertcoin miner (vertcoind can be used for mining as well).
3. Compile vertcoind.
4. Install and preconfigure it.
5. Compile and preconfigure miner.
6. Take an AMI snapshot from this instance.
7. Submit a request to support to raise limits for number of instances. Wait 2-3 days for a reply. If that's not enough, distribute AMI snapshot to different regions, ask friends to create multiple Amazon accounts using their credit cards and give them access to the snapshot. Most likely, some kind of combination of methods had been used, taking into consideration that most of the instances have been started almost at the same time.
8. Launch 100+ instances.
9. Wait for them to load and start mining.

Is it possible to complete all of these steps within 38-40 minutes from a launch? Very unlikely. Conclusion: it was an insider from Vertcoin team who mined at least 111,550 VTC (0.13% of the total volume) shortly after the launch.

Now, when instamine is uncovered, what should we do with this knowledge? We don't know if the owner(s) still have it waiting for a better moment to do a huge sell. Or they already sold it and are not too concerned about VTC's future price.

That is why the only thing we should do is to accept the fact and keep going. Mine, trade and support.

Wow! I've read somewhere that Vertcoin might had a hidden instamine... but this is a real research and it definitely proves there was instamine! :-/

Nice research and the logic looks solid.
I wonder if any of those coins were spent for bounties and promotion.

Doesn't seem to be the case since it was a hidden instamine.

Dark side of Vertcoin - huge instamine uncovered!

What is Vertcoin?
Vertcoin is a cryptographic currency, similar to Bitcoin and Litecoin, with one major difference.
...

Premine - None
There is no premine except three, normal blocks done to test the network (150 coins). You can use the block explorer below to look them up. Unlike many other coins, no one has received a large amount of free coins to dump on an exchange.

From block 10 to 10000, it took just 17 hours. Normally, it should take 17 days.

That is huge instant mine, 24 times than it should be.

No it doesnt take normally 17 days, if you have no idea how a difficuty retarget algorithm works...

Thats how the Litecoin difficulty algorithm works, and basically ALL coins from Litecoin to Bitcoin have been mined faster in the beginning...

That was old days, in 2010 and 2012. Newer coins should have much faster block retarget time or start with higher difficulty, not 0.000x. Vertcoin was launched in January 2014. That is the reason for Vertcoin's depressed price.

Actually from block 10 to 5000 it took a bit more than 2 hours.
And it was CPU coin at the time.

There is no premine except three, normal blocks done to test the network (150 coins). You can use the block explorer below to look them up. Unlike many other coins, no one has received a large amount of free coins to dump on an exchange.

(Vertcoin Official Announcement @ BitCoinTalk) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404364.0)

Some addresses of miners (stopped at ~11:10):

Conclusion: it was an insider from Vertcoin team who mined at least 111,550 VTC (0.13% of the total volume) shortly after the launch.

of all places you posted that here ? ..ps: i think your trying hard to make VTC look bad for what is standard for all coins basically.
what is your motivation to attack VTC i wonder ? hmmmmm

Like you I mined Vertcoin since January and I was quite surprised when I found evidence of a huge instamine.
Some people were complaining about Twilight's premine, so I wanted to show that even coins with declared "no premine" or instamine could be instamined.

Dev team is here and we apologize for lack of communication during first week since the launch. Apparently we've been very busy before go-live, so seeing how successful it was we've decided to give ourselves some rest for a few days.

We'll post an update and our plans for the coin's development some time tomorrow.
Just stick with us and wait for the announcements.

Why should community be active when dev is only slacking  doing nothing. . . not strange that no one votes coin up on all exchanges! DEV wake up and get a hold of this, why start a coin if you dont are dedicated to make it work. . . there is already hundreds of coins out there a active dev team is minimal these days. community wont come if devs dont wake up and put a little effort in. . . .

See, I was right. This coin has no trade volume. No one is buying it because of the massive premine you have. How did you think this was going to work out?

Next time you release a coin have part of the block reward go to the foundation instead of a premine. It seems to have worked out for summercoin.

TWC development plan

Okay, folks, buckle up, we are taking off soon. :-)

First of all we would like to thank TwilightCoin community for being a part of our project! During next few months we'll need your support and cooperation. And in result we'll build something really amazing and important for TwilightCoin and other crypto currencies.  Our first project consists of three phases.

First phase's main goal is to introduce TWC to the crypto coin society and give other people a chance to join us before the project hits its next phase. Beginning of each of three phases will attract more miners, therefore the difficulty is expected to increase too.
During phase 1 we'll do some promotion via articles and giveaways, we are also planning to release a paper wallet for our customers' convenience. TwilightCoin will be added to one or two popular markets (it may be CoinedUp, Cryptsy, Poloniex or similar). Why only one or two? Because later TWC will have its own exchange!

Phase 2 will give a green light for Twirex development. Twirex is a market exchange designed for speculative trading of crypto currencies. Its specifications and features will be disclosed later, but one thing we would like to assure you - TwilightCoin will be one of the base currencies. This is one of the reasons why it can be released only after a few months since the coin was launched - the market will need at least 1.5-2 millions of TWC to be issued to have enough volume for trading.
Twirex development will be financed partially from our own funds and partially from the premine we hold. That is why we need TWC to be listed on one or two popular markets so our development team can have an estimation of the earnings.
We still haven't decided whether we want to attract investors or we can finance it ourselves. Answer to this question will be released later.
Phase 3 will include Twirex testing, registering a business entity in a country which is loyal to businesses operating with crypto currencies and, finally, beta-launch.
The timelines are still discussed, we estimate Phase 1 to take approximately a month, Phase 2 will take 6-8 weeks and Phase 3 may take another month.

As you can see, TwilightCoin was designed for a long run and after Twirex is released there will be other projects to work on.

We'll keep you informed in this thread, via our twitter (http://www.twitter.com/twilight_coin) and reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/twilightcoin)

Finally!! Thank you for an answer. . . all seems good but you need to be more active in this thread aswell, even if you dont have any big updates or new hipp info to give, just to be here so community can see you is active is worth a whole lot, and inform about the progress or the downsides but communicate and this will be big! :)

Umm, Twilight coin will have its own exchange?
And it'll be one of base currencies?

Not bad idea at all, it'll certainly create some demand for twc.

XHash pool is still working.
I'm enjoying low difficulty.

It's to our luck that not so many people are mining it now.

By the time Twirex is launched the price will go up and the difficulty will be much higher.

Twirex will have other currencies traded to TWC.
Similar to other exchanges having LTC/BTC, XPM/BTC and other pairs, Twirex will have LTC/TWC, XPM/TWC and so on.

That's how I understand "Twilight coin will be one of the base currencies".

--worksize 256 --intensity 18 --thread-concurrency 20000 --gpu-platform 1 --gpu-engine 1180 --gpu-memclock 1500 --temp-cutoff 85 --gpu-fan 0-85

Network hashrate goes up and down.
It's beneficial for the miners if the difficulty is low.
But to go to exchange markets we need to build stronger community and invite more people into our network.
On the one hand, it'll make difficulty to go up and we lose our profits from mining.
On the other hand, without big community we wouldn't be able to go to markets at all.

What do you think?

Maybe, but my point is that we need to build a community and push Twilightcoin to a popular exchange.
Only when it's done we'll know what is the coin's real value and then more people will join us.

It's still lower than it was few days ago.

And I agree with the idea of starting some activities and pushing it to exchanges.
We can't wait for Twirex launch, in fact having TWC on exchanges will make it more attractive to developers and investors.
And then we can sell our coins for a higher price  8).

Hello all -

hashmakers spawned a pool for twilight. We shutdown our MPOS frontends and switched over to using NOMP fully so no need to make an account with us anymore; just use your wallet address and get to mining.

Configuration:
Username: your twilightcoin wallet address
Password: anything
Algorithm: x11
URL: stratum+tcp://hashmakers.com:9301

--hashmakers

I agree, we should be more active, getting onto some big exchange is a number 1 goal for TWC! Voting on Coinedup has already been opened and there are lot of votes there, maybe it's good idea to send messages directly to Pete, owner of coinedup and ask him to accept TWC? If everyone in this thread will send a message it will indicate a solid support for the coin.

The biggest advantage for us miners is that Twirex will require high volumes of TWC to operate.
I wonder if that leverage thing will need real TWC coins or it'll be using virtual TWC money.

Dont know, dont think they abandon it, just that they are terrible bad on giving out news and appering in forum! Thats almost as bad as if they abandon it. with all this coins out there a good dev team isnt enough, you need transparancy and to let people know whats going on, whats upcoming, and to know youre still there and you still working on it. . . that was TWC devs done wrong, even thou i pointed it out several times in this thread already!

If dev team dont get themself heard, there wont be any left to announce Twirex to.. and by then its to late, now already people asking if coin is dead because no one got this thread alive, ecspially the dev team, hasnt get any word from them, if tehy working on twirex then take 5 min offf every day to post updates on progress, mishappenings or whatever so peple here can see their still tehre and not waiting on nothing.. even more importent for new adopters to see a active dev team!!

Yes, you are right, some updates wouldn't hurt things.
But still my point is that even more important is to get the development done. And our impatience for a news or updates is not that important.

Well, for me personal no its not that important, but for all the newcomers it could be dealbreaker, crypto currency in general is a very unsecure and fast shifting and for newcomers to jump on a "new "coin with a staled thread and no dev support news these days is not a easy thing to do. with all scamcoins out there, it not just news thats important but to actually just write something to tell people that theyre still here, theyre still working on it. and if thread fills up with some happy news aswell that just a big bonus! and will give a bigger community towards the coin aswell.

Sidenote: thanks dev for your update, and good to hear you will try to be a little more acticve in thread aswell.

GL on you continuing developement, im eagerly waiting! :)

Nice coin.
A bit undervalued, but on a plus side it's easy to mine these days.

If you compare TWC against let's say DRK or VTC - those coins had already had their ups and downs and it's highly unlikely that their rates would add 200 or 500 percent.
So with those coins you get really small profit from mining.

On the other hand, mining coins like TWC is similar to make a venture investment.
You spend a bit, but your profit may be really high.

Also the coins with small community give us, miners, an opportunity to add some value to the coin's promotion.
It's easier to make a difference if you're one of 50 than if you are one of 5000.

That's why I like small communities and new coins.
I would never mine any coin that has a huge community and doesn't promise high outcome.

Sorry to hear that.
I'm afraid you'll have to accept the situation.

It's a common practice to setup an auto-withdrawal at least 2-3 times a day unless you are mining at a highly trusted pool.
Following this simple rule you can't lose more than few hours of mining.

Yeah.. I lost on TWC and I lost before also on WDC just like this situation. But lucky for me, the developers paid every single miner on that pool back  ;D. I still lost my TWC though, but it wont matter much because the coin barely has much volume and price  :(

Sorry to hear about your guys losses.  I still have my P2Pool node up. No need to register, just mine with your wallet address.  When the pool finds a block, you get your share then, and the coins mature in your wallet.  No lost coins, no tx fees for getting your coins.

http://p2pool.thepeeps.net:8285

Happy Mining.
