Post by: naturalog on May 04, 2014, 01:41:17 PM

MCXNOW = MTGOX NOW

EDIT: It turns out from the conversatoin that MCXNOW is doing a VERY irresponsible thing: they keep your password in clear text!!! They don't keep only the hash of it!!! They never heard of how to secure sensitive data!!!

EDIT: MCXNow pay me here 16NM1geMJKXozvN9yAgnBNZNDKUAZbMW3g
Good people who want to donate are welcome..

EDIT: Here are a lot more scammed people https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347008.0
Also, note that in this current thread the guy uses tons of fake IDs.

Seems like you forgot your password.

Realsolid like to be rude with the custommer, especially when they make a mistake.
That's not politically correct, for sure. But hey that's mcxNOW. If you don't like that, you don't use it.

Okay, I'm stunned. This is a 'professional' doing client service?

Does anyone else have any proof of treatment like this.

This seems like the type of exchange we need to warn community members about.

Realsolid is the only owner and programmer of mcxNOW.

It's as much professional in the technologic and security sense, than it is unprofessional in customer service.
No coins were ever lost or stolen. It's without doubt the fastest exchange out there.

But if you make a mistake (lose your password or your 2FA phone), Realsolid will not be nice with you.

If the OP is really who he's pretending, he will recover access to his account, when he prove it.

This has to be one of the funniest exchanges I've ever seen!

Ok, ok. I've stopped laughing.
To be serious for a moment. Why would he assume you aren't trying to scam some btc out of an account? You couldn't give the password even with hints and didn't know when last withdrawal and for how much.

Password reset can be done via email, for example. No one asks for the password itself.
Just like every normal website works!!
Or he could send the money to the last address.

In a face to face encounter with a person who talked to me like this I would punch them in the face. (After giving them two clear warnings, of course) :)

There's NO WAY we as an industry can tolerate ANYONE acting like this to a client.

Good people who want to donate are welcome..

You went to IRC with some generic guest account name, claimed to be some MCXNow user and didn't want or weren't able to prove your identity (you didnīt answer to the security question).
The exchange owner then refused to transfer that MCXNow user's account balance.

So your point is? You not being adressed "Sir" in IRC chat?

I agree, but Realsolid has a niche exchange. It is the fastest and most secure of any and all altcoin exchanges.
You deal with him or find a less secure and slower exchange.

Plus, anybody that has been around him for any length of time would take any insults from him with a grain of salt.

smart guy, password recovery can be done via email. or he could just send me the money. asking for the password is not accepted anywhere.
He can still send the money to the last withdraw address. But he won't. So they are STEALING. STEALING!!!!!

OK so how any reasonable exchange/website would handle this? Hint: they don't ask for your password. And somehow you forgot what I wrote about EMAIL. The simple solution everyone uses.

I've never had an issue @ Mcxnow.

You can't call Mcxnow a "Fraud" because you can't login because you forgot your password. (Did you consider that someone could have brute-forced your password too??) IIRC not a single coin has gone missing from Mcxnow. That speaks volumes in a time where it seems every other exchange has coins "go missing" (I'm looking at your Gox & Cryptorush!)
IMO the best exchange. Fast, secure.. It's great.

That chat log still has me LOLing  :D

you didn't even try to prove who you are and told him to transfer that user's balance to the last address he transferred btc to. this could be your address if you were a scammer.

the manners of RS put aside, it would have been irresponsible of him to do what you asked him to do.

calling a client words if enough to know what kind of exchange its!

I hope you're joking. The reason the shares lost most of their value is the exchange closed down right after the IPO, which is theft. Not being hacked = the owner himself decided to steal everything.

Site still up and running.
Check it out: https://mcxnow.com/
People are allowed to sell for a loss. It sucks, but it is what it is. No need to cry about it.

Site still up and running.
Check it out: https://mcxnow.com/
People are allowed to sell for a loss. It sucks, but it is what it is. No need to cry about it.

This right here. People are mad because they bought for 0.4, then decided to sell at 1/8 value (0.05), and then the value jumped back up to 0.4 again after that and they lost money because they sold at its bottom instead of holding.

It's the same story with people who say BTC is a scam because they bought when it was 1200, sold when it was 300, and now it's in the 400s again.

Cryptos are full of people who have no idea how to value/invest in a company, nor how to do trading. When they lose due to making bad decisions, they start yelling scam. Imagine if some big investor bought into Walmart today, it went down 2 cents and he sold, and then it went back up 2 cents and he started going to every news media outlet to let everyone know that Walmart is a scam because they "stole" his money. That's what people are trying to do to mcxNOW and it's ludicrous.

Yea, people don't release exchanges that are "fast" are usually empty because there's no lagg generated from a constant supply of users.. MCXNOW isn't even worth mentioning as an exchange. It looks absolutely outdated/horrible, not to mention the despicable attitude of the Developer.

mcxNOW is essentially dead, it might do 50BTC or so worth of MAX each day and that's the biggest coin. Realsolid hasn't delivered. The last news post was like Feb 09.

The number of online users is bogus, most of those people probably don't even have a browser open on mcxNOW it just caches past logins.

Just because Real Solid treated you poorly doesn't make it a scam or a fraud.  Christ, you are such a whiner.

The user counter isn't based on how many people are logged in. It's based on how many have visited the site in x period of time. Tons of people are flooding the site with rotators and such to get free ++mcxBUX for referrals.

Worth bumping this thread to say all balances must be moved before Nov 15th from site to elsewhere or will be lost
