There are many tutorial available with pics  for eg: http://dogecoin.ga/how_to_create_scrypt_based_altcoins.html
Video tutorial is good but I doubt anyone can add all the details needed to make a coin in video. (You still have to rely on text)

Awesome tutorial. And the idea behind the video is doing some talking and showing it in real-time instead of just text and screenshots. I prefer the video format (even though both essentially give the same information).

I've already built a test coin using pretty much the same method above, and found it can be done in 30ish minutes, however for a video. Let me ask you guys that are wanting this to be done:

1. Do you need this video a certain length?
2. Do you want documentation affixed to this as well? (I would think so :))
3. Time frame you would need this done?

I'm not one of the hiring guys, but if my personal opinions count as well:

1) I think any length that gets the information across is good enough. If you can knock it all out in 5m, great. If it takes an hour, same thing. The goal is to learn all the intricacies
2) This is a definite. Including source code that is altered (so as to follow along)
3) I can't answer that one

I do appreciate the feedback, yes 5 minutes is very ideal, however for the knowledge on one to learn how to do this without prior knowledge of any programming whatsoever and just want to start up a clone coin... 5 minutes wouldn't cut it, I'm thinking about 30-90 minutes worth of educational video, which I'll start working on here. Since seeing so many people are clueless when it comes to this, and I for one love to help others out in all regards, so I'll be taking up this project. :)

I have every development platform out there from *nix (Debian, BSD, Gentoo, Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS), OSx, Windowz (back to 3.2) along with Sony Vegas Pro 13 for the rendering and final product. So I'm happy to start on this project in my free time and get this up ASAP.

All the best

This sounds awesome! Are you going to be covering other aspects as well, like compiling the various clients, getting the first block mined, how to set up nodes, etc.?

I would think being able to do this in stages, mainly getting them the ability of setting up their first coin project is the key.

Moving onto how to mine their first block and ensuring that the coin supports LONGPOLL or not and etc. I would imagine those should be follow-up videos? What do you think?

Mainly concentrating on the "core" which is how to clone a coin and getting all of their basis covered in this video is the the main part first, and a follow-up video on how to mine, where to setup their nodes and whatever else in other segments. Too much in one video might make the end-user have a breakdown/meltdown. :P

I think if you want to do this in the most effective way, it will be through multiple videos, each one covering a different aspect. For example:

1) A straight Litecoin or Bitcoin clone
2) Adding in x feature
3) Compiling for x OS (each one can be separate)
4) //
5) ///

Basically do it in bite-sized chunks so people can choose what they are interested in. It also makes it easier to manage it for you.

You're not the only one on the internet that teaches people for a fee, these guys are wanting online video tutorials so others can learn this for free using a "visual." If you have to derail a thread with your "There is no need of video tutorial." in another words, no one should learn this for FREE? That clearly shows where your business model is.

I couldn't agree more.

Personal training has its merits for sure (the 1 on 1 approach), but for a lot of us, we just want to learn.

Technically you can host things on your own. DO is just a VPS. But you will want a real host if you're launching an actual coin.

If you're a total noob at programming, you could always go here: http://coingen.bluematt.me/ and then you could hire a programmer, possibly even on this forum to update it for you after you make your coin.

Creating a cryptocurrency requires lots of experience in C++ and of course a good knowledge of cryptography so you can make genuinely unique coin and not just a clone, also, if you have no programming experience, I wouldn't recommend making a cryptocurrency unless you have at least a bit of money for hosting etc.

They aren't asking for a personal programmer. They're asking for someone to create a PUBLIC video that shows people how to make their own coins. Two vastly different things. This is a public service, not a private one. What you're recommending is a private one and would do nothing to help the public.

Oh shit, how did I misread that? :( I thought he meant he wanted to create a cryptocurrency >_< If it's a video on it he could probably get into contact with the various altcoin developers and talk to them about it, maybe even do an interview perhaps and have them explain things.

Okay.

What does he mean by "hosting"? Does he mean how to host a DNS node?

So when it is going to be released?

Oh, I thought this bounty was closed. Is it still open?

Someone said they were working on it, but nothing has been completed to my knowledge. So as far as I'm aware it's still open right now (being that there's no way to know if the previous person is going to follow through or not).

Okay.

What does he mean by "hosting"? Does he mean how to host a DNS node?

I think the hosting is like... how to set up whatever is needed to generate the Genesis block and allow others to start mining it (I'm not sure if this would be the node or not, though; my knowledge in this area is limited).

Basically the tutorial should go over how to create a coin and allow others to mine it.

Tutorial is not full! I need the full tutorial.

Would paying half for now be sufficient since I completed half of the tutorial?
I do need something to pay my hosting fees for the project as well, and I provided you with plenty of information to get the ball rolling.

I consider this tutorial to be the last. Parts 1 and 2 went from building the crypto to creating a QT wallet. I unfortunately do not have access to Mac OS X atm and I would imagine it would be in my best interest to wait until I can get my hands on Yosemite (prolly gonna hackintosh) before I create a tutorial on making QT wallets for it.

As for windows it is not too different to compile a QT wallet than in linux, I figured it would be better simply doing both wallet compilers in one video, however it probably will not be my top priority.

As I said before though, I do consider tutorial to be complete, it shows you how to make your crypto source code, premine, and not to mention QT wallets can still be generated, along with the fact that you can run the crypto via the command line interface as opposed to the GUI interface.

Partially it all has to do with whether people are more visual learners or "textbook" learners so im sure the two options are good for their respective audience equally.

the video idea is good because you can just pause and then replay as much as you want. but either way there is a lot involved in this type of thing so you cant truly portray it all through a video.

It's true, someone can make a crypto by copying the actions I performed in the video, but the question is will the viewer truly understand the concept, or just replicate the same actions?

OP is well aware of the video's release, I sent him PM's stating the relative time of release and I have hosting bills due NOW and OP isn't on to give me the funds. I have no idea if it's being done maliciously or OP simply doesn't have time but regardless, I need my hosting bill to be paid.

I have to say that if the OP doesn't have the patience to read through docs and understand cryptos well enough to carry out the process on his/her own, I doubt very much that any crypto created will be worth very much.  Nonetheless, this does seem like an easy way for someone to make 0.5BTC by just making a video for the OP.
