You did a search and replace for mastiffcoin but didn't actually know what you were doing.. so you ended up with seed nodes set to node1.mugatucoin.com, node2.mugatucoin.com, node3.mugatucoin.com -- just like Mastiff except you didn't actually set up the seed nodes so your wallets won't actually sync well.

After half an hour, my wallet has zero connections to the network. The debug file has lines and lines of 'trying connection' / 'connection timeout'. Of course I have a working Internet connection.

That dump is because of vericoin being added to mintpal . People are selling off all other coins to get on the vericoin boat. Smarter people are looking it as SUMMER SALE on bittrex and slowly scooping up the cheap coins. ;)

ok I have tried to install wallet on 4 machines with different configs, and networks, and os, and av, and the wallet will not connect. it says 0 active conections. is there a fix, a new config file, anything? We have submitted MugatuCoin to CryptoCoinRank.com and CoinMarketCap.com with this info. It probably won't be long until we have a market cap.

Block 1 is a pre-mine block for 27068 Muga. This premine has been lost to the world due to an early insta-miner who grabbed the first 40 or so blocks while the first people were mining. There was not supposed to a block at all. The original person who did the code said it was 0 and uploaded it. (He also did not come through with Windows or Mac Wallets as promised). He has since been replaced.

Either way in the interest of accuracy. Me and another team member purchased 27060 MUGA at market rates on Bittrex to help support the miners and market and have transferred them to this wallet. This wallet will now be designated as the Development Fund.

Sorry for the confusion. The launch could have been smoother if we had more experience but things happen. Sorry I just got the Block Explorer done. I have three girls 3, 5, and 8 and only get to see them on the weekends so my time was a little limited. I know this is no excuse but today we have been busy adding seed nodes, additional infrastructure and talking to more people.

Mining has now ended. MUGA is still very undervalued but it's looking good from a technical standpoint.

Our team actually started talking with several key contacts in our targeted industry and they gave us QUITE a bit of feedback. Needless to say they are very excited about potential uses of cryptocurrency as it relates to contests and online commerce. We will follow up and finish our White Paper which outlines the plans. Since our plan is evolving it wont be long.

Anon features, developers plans for implementation into the real world, you guys are hilarious. This coin is obviously a joke that is so off the charts stupid it achieved a 50k market cap. Well done, but don't expect to take on Litecoin anytime soon.

anon makes it useful.. a multipool will create buy pressure. all that is needed for a successful currency is for it's value to rise. anon implementation will attract larger market share.. and even repeat investors like myself who will buy more if anon is implemented. we can get it on merchants after. even if this coin was a scam.. the dev would lose out to cash out early because this coin is very easy to take to moon.

the community can always replace the dev, or hire additional help etc. and i will contribute to getting mugatu on merchants if certain moves are made.

are you refering to noblecoin?? earlier this year when it was 17 satoshi i heard the same when i was telling ppl noble is a very good coin. and i held all my coins.. then BOOM... 200 satoshi up from 16.

i also held my vericoin, summercoin. the only reason this coin may seem to be doing well is because some panic sellers are thickening the sell walls. but even in light of that.. its only 7 btc up to 5000 satoshi.

important to take these coins off the exchange and dont let them sit there too long for the exchange to collect the stake and dump. exchange could be getting quite a few thousand coins a day from staking deposits that sit in their wallet long enough. that will contribute to selling down the buy book. so if we put some teamwork into this we can at least reduce the resistance.

there are 3 chains in that industry - manufacturing, creative and retail... you would need to be deeply embedded in at least one, for the other two to even consider adopting you...

so which chain are you targeting ?

i can tell you with full certainty that you will have an incredibly hard time penetrating manufacturing... too many vendors, too many suppliers, and they would all have to adopt this coin in order for everything to work... that side of the industry works entirely on purchase orders, and payment is typically due within 30 days, so there is just no need for fast electronic transactions... even if that side of the industry does decide to go alt-currency, it may as well adopt bitcoin... after all, if you're used to waiting 30 days to get paid, another hour for a blockchain to sync is not a big deal ... add to that the fact that most of the manufacturing is done in third world countries, where hard currency like the dollar and the euro are highly coveted, and i do not see you making inroads on the manufacturing side...

i also do not see you making inroads in creative... that side of the industry is super hyper-conscious to trends... the fact that the flier you guys just put up features styles from the winter of 2012 will instantly indicate that you guys are outsiders, and creative is incredibly "clicky" - they don't like outsiders, especially those who are not familiar with current trends... i'm not even going to mention the fact that the image is lifted from an hd wallpaper site, and is not original or licensed to you... if you think copyrights and licensing is not important to the people running the creative side of things, you are in for a rude awakening... even if you do manage to get past these problems, you still face a huge hurdle - that side of the industry works entirely on invoicing... pay is always 30-90 days after the job is complete, and the only people that get "cash on hand" are riggers/assistants, catering and union guys that are often required by the location, everyone else waits...  point is, just like in manufacturing, there simply is no need for fast electronic transactions.. they add no value...

i do see an alt-currency possibly making inroads on the retail side of things, but i do not see it anytime soon... as much as retailers bitch and moan about credit card companies, their fees and their often capricious policies, credit cards are still "the standard"... pay is instant, and the entire system is mature and most importantly - widely adopted... it would take a massive amount of effort and funds for re-educate the consumer to use an alt-coin... like i said, i do see the possibility of this happening, but it is years away... and even if the wider adoption does happen, i do not see what this coin offers over the gazillion other coins, some of which are much more mature/adopted and much more liquid, where this coin would be "the one"...

so again, 3 chains to this industry, and i do not see how you could make inroads in any of them, at the moment...

and, btw, this is all assuming that you completely rename/rebrand this coin... if you chose to go on with the current name, the ass raping you will get from Paramount's lawyers will require truckloads of vaseline :)

i am not trying to be harsh... i mined this coin since launch, traded it through some swings, making pretty good money on both... it's a fun coin, has been a fun ride, and this coin has been pretty good to me... but i just do not see it as anything more then yet another coin to have fun with, and to speculate on... i cannot see it making any inroads in the fashion industry...

It's not that I don't enjoy questions as much as the next guy, but....Whether we take over the fashion industry or not is largely irrelevant to the question of getting a good return on an altcoin. I have a pretty comprehensive plan almost finished, which I will reveal shorty. In the meantime though I think we all understand in our heart of hearts that altcoins can trade up nicely without any earth-shattering news.

It's really hard contact with Dev. We need him to pump this coin, but he is silent. I still have a quite lot of MUGA, but I am afraid that it can be last moment sell it.

You know. A coin is owned by community, it is open source, so if dev is away, community can just take it over and work around it, it is in a good position to get added on poloniex, but the problems is that bittrex is now bigger then poloniex, so don't know if it will add any value.

not sure about the dev on this one.... I had high hopes for him and bought a bunch of MUGA a while ago.  luckily I sold most of it as the price was dropping and recovered most of my losses.

I kept some coins just in case it rebounded and still have them...

However, I just frowned as I looked further into this...

looking at the market history on Bittrex, there was a time period where about this many coins were traded between 17:00 and 17:29 on that date... (not sure which timezone bittrex is showing me).

during that time frame, the price was 2395 down to 1726.  not sure what he bought them at, but I imagine it was higher on June 8th ( when he posted having bought the coins at market value to replace the premine).  So dumping coins would have been useless, unless he was just cutting his losses as much as he could...


The dev was more of a twitter updater than posting on this forum and his last tweet was on the 19th of June...

This all kind of lines up to him dumping his coins on the 20th. Not exactly concrete evidence here, but BIG red flags.

Mind you, he bought these coins with his own money... so he can do whatever he wants with them, but this does not look good with the community.

At this point however, dumping my coins will get me peanuts.  I would rather keep them in the hopes of a community takeover or maybe mugatucoin_dev proves me wrong and comes back.

to dump or to hold is up to you, but I would rather gamble for the big bucks as opposed to enjoying a single pack peanuts right now.

EDIT: I just looked further into the transaction out of the development fund wallet.  It seems it did not go to an exchange.....from what i can tell, they went to another wallet with 40k coins and then another wallet with 157k coins... I am however no expert in tracking transactions on block explorers and could be completely wrong.  If someone smarter than myself wants to follow the coins, I am sure we can get a better idea of where the coins went.  Maybe he is stacking up coins as 157k is almost 10% of all the MUGA in existence.... or maybe this is the Bittrex wallet... I dont know.

as far as i can tell, he moved out the development fund to another wallet. the owner of that wallet seems to be trading the margins after periods of staking in his own wallet and trying to accumulate more coins. this wallet now still contains about 20k coins but the development fund is wiped out.

the dev is most likely gone at this rate and something needs to be done. if we want to save this coin i may have some ideas that can help. we'd need a graphic designer for starters.

Lost on this one.... i thought, when i notice the poloniex voting that they were planning to get it on poloniex so i start buying at 2000sats till 2500sats then sold everything at 3000Sats took .50BTC or so, and then bought a small amount at 1600Sats.

2012591 Number of coins now, and premine of 27000, so it was a nice premine but still only 2,000,000 coins, i think that someone from the community can take it over, remember Pinkcoin, trading at nothing and then some people took it over and they are now trading nicely. So maybe it is time that someone take over this coin...

I say do nothing. This coin is so technically favorable and Mugatu such a popular movie character that the best option right now is to just buy whatever %of the network you can afford to risk and stake it.

Any hard sell or serious promotion of this coin at this stage will come across as forced. It has everything going against it as far as what the market wants to overpay for right now (it's not anonymous, it's not really unique, and it is not a "serious" or "innovative" presence.

Ask yourself why you bought into the coin. This could help you with how to get others involved. Myself I thought it would eventually get de-listed and become unused but I have always loved the Mugatu character and Zoolander and most people in my generation do as well, in fact Mugatu is probably one of the most well known and universally appreciated characters in modern movie times. That is what would make people buy the coin, simply that its cheap enough to get a good % of the network for a negligible amount of BTC and mugatu is funny.

People buying in at these prices can do so knowing that they never have to sell and can just stake. You can throw an amount you're ok with losing/wouldnt be worth taking a loss on because its a tiny amount of money but get the huge upside of a nice low supply high interest coin and be staking from the beginning.
