Post by: Easy2Mine on June 02, 2014, 12:24:14 PM
I am not an official reseller, but a regular costumer with the factory in Dongguan.
I buy the Dragon 1T miner below the Chinese price and resell it to you.

The new models comes with 1200 watt PSU.
http://www.madelinelai.com/image/data/bitcointalk/inside_view_dragon_miner.jpg

I will start stocking these miners now before the new batch is sold out.

I buy the miners below the price on their Chinese website because I am a regular customer.
The warranty is via the factory.
If you have trouble with communication, do not hesitate to contact me.
I am in a good relation with the factory as a good customer.
I speak fluently Dutch, German, English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Why trust me.
Read my profile.
I don't sell garbage.
I visit a lot factories of A1 based miners here in China and www.lketc.com is the biggest and most reliable one.
All the miners from the different factories are almost identical, they buy the A1 chips from the same factory.
They get the blue print and software from the same factory, but the casing can be a little bit different.
The only difference is the after sell and quality control.
I will buy extra miners to have an inventory.

One Dragon 1T miner shipped out to any place in the world for 1749 US dollar.
I will accept Escrow as a payment via SebastianJu or any Escrow service who has experience with this kind of deals, like OgNasty.
You need to add an extra 2% to the total cost to tip the Escrow service.

I shipped via DHL/UPS and will provide you with tracking number.

http://www.madelinelai.com/image/data/bitcointalk/experimenting.jpg
Door to the balcony is always open, from earlier measurements, even stormy rainfall stays almost out of the room.

I have the third and fourth floor of the house filled with Dragon 1T miners from different manufacturers.
The AC is running almost the whole day except in the evening when the temperature is lower.
To save electricity I am experimenting with directly blowing the hot air outside the building in one of the rooms on the second floor.
I use an extra high airflow fan to increase the speed of blowing out the hot air.
I works even better than with the AC on.
The whole trick is, hot air is moving so fast out of the room that it don't mix with the colder air.
The combine airflow of the intake fans are sucking fresh air from the open windows fast enough to keep the miner cooler than
with close windows and closed door and AC on.

The next thing I am going to try, is putting the miners on their side.
In the latest Dragon 1T miners, their are 4 modules, hot air rise and the upper modules are hotter than the ones below.
By putting them on the side, I will try to see if the heat is equally spread.
I will put something between the Dragons before I stack them up.
Otherwise the side panel of the Dragons gets too warm.

The setup above do not only apply for Dragons 1T miner, but all miners.
You  have to experiment to lower your temps and save electricity bills.

Balcony is protected by metal bars.

$1650 like the SP2 GB would be an excellent price, I would take 2 possibly 3 at that rate.

Chinese price at the factory is 1450 dollar, with some discount it would be 1400 dollar.
Shipping cost with DHL plus tracking and insurrance it is about 225 us dollar.
1400+225=1625
You need to pay toll to access Dongguan and pay for gasoline plus time spend.

If it is brand new from the factory, this price is not feasible.
The only way to be profitable is to mine a few days with it and then resell it and don't pay for insurrance, or buy lower
quality Dragon miners from one of the many small workshops in Shenzhen.

Not my style.

I get what your saying and its completely fair. It's just hard to pay that much when you know S2's have gone for $1650 new but that boat has sailed. I'll be talking to you before the 9th, hoping for lots of luck on GHASH over the next week. Currently running around 5.5 thash.

Nice to see some honesty in here, especially since you are not a manufacturer.  As we know they are trying to stabilize and set min prices.

I will ask the factory monday if I can get the miner cheaper without PSU.
I think a lot people will be interested if the miner can be sold without PSU.
Thanks for this idea.

2 x 1749=3498 $ for the miners plus shipping and insurrance.
1.02 * 3498=3567.96 $
3567.96 - 3498 =69.96 $ for Escrow service.

Read my previous posts, I moved from The Netherlands to China to take advantage of the cheap electricity here and the availabilty of cheap miners here.
Now I am trying to setup a reseller business beside being a farm operator.

30 minutes from Shenzhen and Dongguan in China.
There is already a price war between resellers.
This is already the bottom, if we keep lowering the prices, we are going to work for free, unless the factories gives us more discount for bring in more sales. ;D

The factory won't lower too much.  Only enough to save the shipping and import tariff fees.

Sorry for bad quality, forgot to wipe off the sweat.

They are dumping their farm.
Their price is also adjusted again on their website.
The international price and Chinese price are almost the same.
It is cheaper to buy from them directly then from any reseller.

I like to sell to you, but if someone can deliver cheaper, I will advice you to buy there.

Sorry, I was busy uploading pictures.

LKETC dropped their price on their international website, it is now cheaper to buy from them directly then from any reseller.

I like to earn some extra cash from other miners, but if I sell it to you for 1749 and they sell it for 1599.88, I am ripping people off.
And I don't like to earn that kind of money.

Their site shows the correct USD price but I don't know who the heck they use to determine BTC price. They want 3.03 BTC, at today's rate it should be 2.487.

Use bank transfer to their bank account, it's an account in Hong Kong.
Money will arrive in a day unless you transfer money to their Chinese bank account, which will take longer to arrive.
Don't use BTC, they don't even bother to update BTC price on their website.

Because the s1 is not as power efficient as the newer designs.  And it is past their 6 month life cycle.

Hi Chris,

It is hot here in China, dirty and most of all, they don't have good coffee like we have in The Netherlands.
I haven't look into script, because I am a pure BTC miner.
Their are a lot scrypt manufacturers now, price will fall like with BTC Asic before.
A2 chips are manufactured by Innosilicon and they are the greedy ones, price will not fall untill Silverfish gets into full production.

I will be back in The Netherlands at 29 june, I need to end the hosting of my Jupiters in Zoetermeer so I will be in the near of Leiden.
I will take some souvenir from China.

Easy Mine I see where people are having trouble with LKETC I know your not with them but do you have any insight to them using under spec power supplies? Also I have seen rumours of a june 20 release of a more powerfull machine. Your closer to the action have you seen or been told of any of this?

Steve

im close to the action too and no is not anytime soon, on my side anyways

Innosilicon design the A1 chip and give the factories reference design of the casing and other stuff.
Thats why all the Dragon 1T miners looks the same.
Instead of designing their own casing with better airflow and cheaper to build they all follow the reference design.
There are 3 major design flaws in the current case design, almost anyone who has build their own rigs before for bitcoin mining using GPU's will see those design flaws and correct them.
All the factories are struggling with the noise of the casefans, they try their best to lower the noise by experimenting with different brands of case fans, but will not succeed.
Simply because they don't understand anything about airflow and air pressure.

They have a small batch of 200 under spec PSU's, but they have replace all those miners with correct working ones, once they found out those PSU's are not good enough.
Those miners are from earlier may, they have shipped me 1200 watt PSU from InWin for replacement afterwards before the under spec PSU's stopped working.
All my miners have 1200 watt PSU.

I don't have heard anything about a more powerfull machine released by LKETC on 20 june, Gridseed however will release a 1100 G machine on 20 june.
I have already a 2T Avalon Gen3 miner hashing since yesterday.
I only bought that to proove to the community that it exist and that the factory producing them is legit.
They have problems with communicating, because English is not their first language.
I pay full price for the miner just to let the community knows that you do have choices in different miners and that you do not need to pre-order.

easy2mine power seems to be the problem with miners, and I think is because our governements do have cheaper energy but they the big oil and eletric companies pay these inventions from coming out to save people money on electric.  This sucks lol.

Thanks for the answers guys. Easyminer how are you liking the 2t miner you just got? Any advantages in pricing/ wattage? My power is fairly cheap .1025 kwh so power is a bit less important but still something to consider. Are you going to be doing group buys on the bigger rockbox or do you have another miner in mind?

Sorry for not having time to update that thread, I bought that Avalon 2T miner just to let the community know the company selling them is legit.
The build quality is good execpt for the Rasberry Pi part, but they use too many metals, its 40 kilo.
At least 15 kilo too much if they have done the design right.
I am putting the Avalon in an isolated chamber to let the heat build up to see how it reacts on temperature.
It use Delta server PWM fans, it get noisy if the intake temperature is warmer than 30 degree Celsius, about 60 dB.
It's freaking hot in that room, 45 degree Celsius, at that intake temperature, the Avalon 2T hash at 1.6-1.7 Terahash.
The Avalon is very temperature related, if the intake temperature is below 30 degree Celsius it hash between 1.9-2.0 Terahash.

They use 300 chips in this miner, the old 820 Ghash Avalon only use 105 chips.
This miner can be overclocked if the condition is right.

I still have to measure it with a Kill-A-Watt.

I have been busy with ordering metal racks and placing them, my farm is growing bigger.
I need to find a new place, I will post picture of new place.

This will probably the place for the new farm, it's a toy factory from a friend of my brother in law, he is going to relocate his factory to a bigger place.
Now I am looking how we can do the rewiring first, before renting it.

Sold 2 Dragons 1T to Squall1066 with hosting trans ID 3d853c3564742c3bb75d512ed2b100129e863086200721ace08fa9afc2644030

I normally don't do hosting, but the buyer bought a lot from me in the past, so I made an exception.
Just need to figure out how to setup secure remote access and then I can offer it to you all.
I don't want anyone looking into other miners.

Probably because the average 1th machine will only Roi about $1100 USD or 1.9 btc.
Please clarify - Does this mean one machine will return 1.9BTC over and above the initial investment?
Or will it produce only 1.9BTC leaving a loss after subtracting initial investment?
Thanks.

If you follow BITMAIN post about their calculation of ROI, you will understand a lot things, but you need to have access to electricity cheaper than 20 dollar cent, which a lot country don't have that low.
To be competive, you need to live either in the United States or China to have access to cheap electricity.
Avoid import tax, American don't paid import tax if it is shipping from China.
Avoid shipping cost.
Best option is to host it somewhere without paying shipping cost and import tax.
I can sell Dragons for 1599 and host it for 135 dollar per month.
I am looking into remote access at the moment, people can change their own pool without me doing it for them.

Thanks for the reply,
I'm coming from the traditional definition of ROI:

and just wanted to make sure we were talking the same. ;)

I might be interested in hosting with you since I can get to china at this moment, can you offer bulk hosting packages?
But I rather take miners from my supplier since I get them way cheaper then that.

I can do large scale hosting, but first I need to figure out how to setup secure remote access.
Customers need to be 24/7 able to change their own settings, without me to change it for them.
I only host miners I have sold, like all the resellers do.
If you need large scale hosting, I can help you set it up.
Setting up a  large farm with over 200 miners is done within a week if you know someone who works
in a electricity company and know where you can buy the big wires and other stuff.
If you don't have connection in this country, it will take you a lot longer to get the paperworks ready.

MultiMiner might be able to help with that. Tons of awesome features and you can option to run multiple instances, each with their own api login.
