This was all over national radio yesterday and the lefties were made a mockery of. They're for empowering women in every category over men except self defense. :-\ It's episodes like this where the left just totally loses any sort of credibility w/ the average American. Sounds crazy.

i don't think a beauty pageant should be considered a "feminist," especially when she is objectifying her beauty/physical body for money and fame. these ladies are pretty, and that's all they are.. so ridiculing them for their "beliefs" is a moot point.

I thought feminism was about empowering women. Certainly this reaction is proof they don't understand human nature. Some people are going to do bad things, even when they're know those things are wrong. Simply educating the would-be baddies is not going to help their victims.

I think teaching women self-defence is a great idea, just as long as what they're taught isn't shit, there's some awful stuff out there, where was it I saw an article on this type of thing? India? Africa? There were a bunch of women that were learning martial arts so they could defend against men if they tried to rape them.

Honestly, I'd like these people who tell us all to not carry guns and use self-defence to try and talk to the really unstable countries in a civil war or worse, they'd probably get laughed at, I'm really thinking now people who argue for gun control and against self-defence haven't ever been in danger.

My wife has a concealed carry permit and has taken self defense classes. This is just another round about way to bash men. I am pretty sure that even the most recalcitrant rapists know they are not supposed to do it.

Makes sense; for feminism to grow and nourish, you need a weak and easily victimized "feminist woman."  To support self-defense among women weakens the feminist movement as it decreases the amount of ammo to be used in extracting taxes and moving laws in favor of a select group.  The movement to empower and equalize women is doing the exact opposite.

Truly empowering women ends the feminist movement. They need women to be victims in order to exist.

Amanda Kijera was on a humanitarian trip to Haiti, when she was violently raped by a black man. The act was both coincidental and devastating, as Kijera was actually in Haiti to dispel the “myths” that violence against women on the island was overstated by women’s rights organizations. The intention of Kijera’s trip was to push back on the portrayal of black men as “savages” in the media. Her hope was that she would eliminate misconceptions and push back against common views imposed by “the man.” However, Kijera’s trip took a turn for the worse when one of the men she had worked to protect cornered her on the rooftop, and raped her numerous times.

“The experience was almost more than I could bear,” Kijera wrote about the incident, “I pleaded with him to honor my commitment to Haiti, to him as a brother in the mutual struggle for an end to our common oppression, but to no avail. He didn’t care.”

According to Kijera, she eventually stopped fighting him, claiming that there was nothing she could do to stop him from raping her repeatedly. After the tragic experience, she placed the blame on a very unexpected course. Women are not the source of their oppression; oppressive policies and the as-yet unaddressed white patriarchy which still dominates the global stage are,” she explained.

She also went on to argue that it is up to the United Nations to support people who are forced to bear the brunt of black male aggression. Kijera makes the outrageous claim that dependency on white people causes them to act out against them. She alludes that this was the reason for her attack.

As much as I don't like feminist and their so called goals I have to agree on a part of this.

You can't really expect to start training all the women from when they are little kids   in martial arts so they can protect against rape.

Rapist will start also taking courses on "how to rape a martial artists".

But personal responsibility include learning how to defend yourself.

Eliminating rape would be simple, but people don't have the guts to do it.  Rape exists because there is a genetic incentive.  Reverse that incentive and let evolution take its course.

Policy 1: mandatory abortion of all rape babies.

Policy 2: sterilize all rapists, all women who have or have had consensual sex with a rapist, women caught bringing a rape baby to term, and all children, siblings, nieces, and nephews of rapists.

There's a death penalty for rape in many areas, and not even this stops rape.  Your idea is a less extreme version of the death penalty, so it's highly unlikely it's going to work (and considering the consequences you've proposed, it's pretty important that we not employ policies that have no benefit.)

There is simply no fear-based solution that has ever caused someone to observe a law that they wouldn't already have observed.  The only way to stop rape is for women to treat their children with dignity and respect, i.e. as human beings, instead of beating them (esp. the boys much more often than the girls hint hint power struggle hint hint rape is an act of dominance hint hint) and treating them like they're inferior.  Until this happens, rape will continue all over the world.

My idea is far more extreme than the death penalty.  The death penalty only sterilizes the rapist.  My idea is to not only sterilize him, but the entire populations from which rapists emerge.

I would sterilize the rapist obviously, thus removing his genes from the genepool.  His relatives share many of his genes, which is why I would sterilize his siblings, nieces, and nephews.  Then I also sterilize the women who are attracted to rapists or who tolerate rapists.

If rapists are no longer born then rape will no longer occur.


You are suffering from a common misconception.  Rape is not about dominance, it is about sex, and sex is about procreation.  This is the reason that 94% of female rape victims are age 29 or younger.  Rape is simply forced mating, a common act among many nonhuman animals and some sort of humans.  The reason that it is common is because it provides its practitioners with an evolutionary advantage.  Turn that advantage into a disadvantage and evolution will sort things out.

Also you seem to believe that people can be taught to have different personalities.  There is absolutely no evidence for this, and plenty of evidence to the contrary.  Rapists are born, not trained.  Other than eliminating them, the only alternative is suppressing them through intimidation.

I would say sterilize the rapists AND seize enough of his assets to pay for all medical costs and damages to the women who were victims of rape. If he doesn't have enough assets to cover costs, garnish his wages. If he is unemployed, put him to work on a public works program and send his pay to her. And if a child results, he has to pay child support.
