1) People use fake ICANN names (especially the 'old' version) when launching stuff 2) People use incorporation agents - those that are the 'board directors' and get paid $100/a year or whatever for you to use their name on everything 3) Records can be outdated to begin with, or the person on there isn't the actual owner - this is the biggest problem - you're going to find Alex and freak the crap out of the sysadmin :P Also, why is this Ghash.io's problem? Maybe it's the guy with the idea but not the person in charge of anything.
