I'll wait to see if you have any issues... which I am expecting.

Hashharder will support this coin ONLY if the coin ACTUALLY WORKS THIS TIME

I thought there was already a GPU miner available for Cryptonote based coins:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=638915.0

Though the dev would have to add-in support for this coin.

;D

and please don't try to be on swaphole.
swaphole doesn't sound good by itself but swaphole horizon would be worst  ;)

it was working with mountcoin, assuming address doesn't change it should continue working.
(don't understand in the first place why it works, as it checks the address...)

The second, but we also do a clean relaunch (OrionCoin)

You're launching 2 coins now?!? Once the MountCoins get moved over to HorizonCoin what's your plan? I can't imagine you're going to be able to manage 2 coins at once. This sounds like you're going to abandon Horizion once it's up and running and focus on this new Orion coin.

First fix this MNT/->HRZ coin..

Besides few bugs, nothing was wrong with Mountcoin you had a good network hash rate running.

If I was you concentrate on this MNT/->HRZ coin and stop messing around and get this coin healthy first.

Why? Orion can only hurt Horizion. You've already got a reputation as being incompetent. What do you think will happen when you've launched and abandoned 2 coins within 3 weeks?!? Who would waste their time on yet another coin from you? Focus your efforts and earn some respect for Christ sake.

Its clear that you have no intention of supporting Horizion. I suspect that the only reason for Horizon is to quiet your distractors and cover for your failures with MountCoin. Disappointing.

Sorry to say guys, but this coin was probably a lie intended to divert attention away from the failure of MountCoin so that he could do a clean launch of OrionCoin.
It seems that EldinHadzic (AKA presidentcoin) created a new profile and tried to distance himself from Mount/Horizion coin mess by claiming there were 2 different development teams.
Now he's running from his past by creating multiple announcement threads for Orion.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654364
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653680
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653578
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653451

I could be wrong, and I hope I am. Let's see if the lead developer for HorizonCoin appears and delivers a working coin. If he does I'll eat my words and issue a heartfelt apology. If he doesn't I think EldinHadzic/presidentcoin owes us one.

how many threads do you bastards need??

P.S.A.
presidentcoin is the creator of the cryptonote coins Mount Coin, Horizion Coin, and now Orion Coin.

Mount Coin was fraught with problems from day one. The dev abandoned the coin with a few weeks leaving miners and pool operators holding bags. His excuse was that the coin was too broken for him to fix and that he was going off to create another coin. Only after outrage, and lots of help, from the community did he offer to create Horizion Coin, which was meant to port the old Mount coins to this new coin.

Now he's ninja launcing another coin. What do you think he'll do when this coin runs into a little trouble?

  • [ANN] [HRZ] HorizonCoin (MountCoin reborn) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652397.0)
--------------

Later this came to light.

Yea SURE, I bet it was the same guy that mined the 1st block with 1000x the block reward of your original failed shitcoin:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519488.0

Holy shit. I hadn't seen that one. That's where the name presidentcoin came from?
This guy created a coin where the block reward was this:
Block 1: 500,000 PSD
Block 2-999: 500 PSD
Block >1000: 50 PSD
Then he claimed that he didn't know who mined the 1st block? Hahaha!!!

Now a new account (eldinhadz) claims to be the lead dev and he says presidentcoin is no longer on the team. I'm not saying this is a scam but it doesn't smell right. Do your research before investing in this coin.

Another thing to consider: EldinHadzic claims that he is not presidentcoin.
But isn't it interesting that EldinHadzic appeared 8 minutes after presidentcoin "left the team" and stopped posting?

https://i.imgur.com/gJs5VZT.png

https://i.imgur.com/DnpHIdi.png

--

And what's happening with this "other team" that presidentcoin said was going to launch HorizonCoin an hour ago.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652397.0
Where is the developer who was supposed to clean up the mess left behind by presidentcoin and MountCoin?

Meanwhile here's a github repo that continues to work on the MountCoin blockchain

https://github.com/cbuchner1/mountcoin

So you can at least sync with and mine on the existing block chain.

Yes it still works, we only need the windows version (so people can use the wallets again on windows) and pools can update with the above git. So we can continue mountcoin ;-)

Should we still be using v2.02 from the MountCoin website?

Cannot recommend. It doesn't accept MNT addresses as valid and has a broken checkpoint,
so it cannot sync to the blockchain from an empty state.

My patched V2.0.2 fixes these issues.

Unfortunately I have not ever built any cryptonote coin wallet for Windows, so I am not sure
if I will be able to provide any binaries.

Pool works on the V2.0.2 fixed issues version by cbuchner1. And you can compile the linux version from -> https://github.com/cbuchner1/mountcoin
Only problem is no windows version "yet" with the fixes from this git -> https://github.com/cbuchner1/mountcoin. Still the blockchain is up and running.
If only presidentcoin steps up and drops all the other coins (horizon / orion) and just concentrates on mountcoin he can fix his bad reputation.

coding errors corrected
only the developer tossed a coin developer escaped

If presidentcoin doesnt reply soon, ill build the windows version with the fixes from the linux version.

Thank you so much! MountHorizon could still be a good cryptonote coin. People like to root for the underDoge. Logo is very appropriate, underDoge on the 'job' is good image for MountHorizon coin.

Save this coin if you can! Will have a good story to tell.

I seriously doubt this coin will go anywhere without real developers.

Good news from Christian !

64 bit Windows wallet+daemon+simpleminer for MountCoin, provided by me.

This is based on version 2.0.2 with my fixes for blockchain synchronization.

This was built with Visual Studio 2013 using boost trunk version (>1.55) built statically,
so no extra DLLs are needed.

This may require Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 redist (vcredist_x64.exe) which you can download here:
http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=40784

I probably won't do a 32 bit build. The 64 bit code executes the hashing function faster and will also mine faster.

Maybe I was wrong.
