I sold a bunch of them at $410 and while it started slow, had far more inquiries in the end then boards I had. So yes..... good luck with that. Title: Re: WTB 5970s in bulk - NOT SINGLES please Post by: DeathAndTaxes on February 26, 2012, 05:31:53 PM In related news I am willing to buy Gold for $1200 per ounce + shipping. In bulk only no single coins.

I sold a bunch of them at $410 and while it started slow, had far more inquiries in the end then boards I had. So yes..... good luck with that. His $300 is closer to the going rate on eBay than $450 (*when you keep in mind that he said $300 "plus" shipping). The cheapest in the last ten days or so (including shipping charges, if any): http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-HD-5970-Graphics-Card-/160746891754?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item256d42e9ea#ht_1386wt_1166 - $299 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-HD-5970-Dual-GPU-Graphics-Card-/130650685580?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item1e6b63408c#ht_1953wt_1166 - $365 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-RADEON-HD-5970-2GB-Video-Card-Alienware-/220959665939?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item337238ef13#ht_1778wt_1166 - $376 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-HD-5970-2-GB-512-Bit-Video-Card-/330691230025?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item4cfebbb949 - $390 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-HD-5970-2GB-Dual-GPU-Video-Card-Mint-condition-/180822273701?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item2a19d8eea5 - $395 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATI-Radeon-HD-5970-2GB-Dual-GPU-Video-Card-/170785299922?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item27c398ddd2 - $395 and quite a few right at $400, including some brand new 5970's. Couple weeks ago there was someone selling a handful or two buy-it-now @ $399. Probably some he purchased off Newegg for $339 or whatever it was. You can get them for under $400 on eBay easily. $375 isn't too hard, if you don't mind waiting a week or so. $350 is a fair price for not going through eBay or dealing with their fees. I'd say $300-$325 is a fair price if paid for in cash. No chance of lame chargebacks or disputes then. Title: Re: WTB 5970s in bulk - NOT SINGLES please Post by: DeathAndTaxes on February 28, 2012, 12:46:45 PM Based on your links I wouldn't say $350 is "fair" but it is a reasonable low ball. $300 is just kinda silly. When you add "no singles" to the conditions as if you are doing someone a favor by taking a large number of cards valued at ~$400 (based on your links) at a 33% discount it just becomes silly.
Still it is good to see the idiots buying 5970s for $450, $500, $550 have finally run out of money. You buy a 5970 for $550 you just guaranteed you are going to fail as a miner. I need 3 more 5970s for my hashing farm conversion so seeing prices fall below $350 would be nice. Hell everyone should stop buying 5970s (they are hot, noisy, and power hungry) and buy BFL FPGA it is a much better deal (that way prices fall <$300 for me :) ). If you don't want a FPGA you know you want a 7000 series. I mean 5000 series vs 7000 series? 7000 sounds a better than 5000. One last try: [using force] "These are not the GPUs you are looking for." Well, the reason I was saying $350 was a fair offer was because if you sell it for $400 on eBay.... eBay jacks 9% of that, leaving you with $364. $350 offer would be fair for some guy that's done a lot of deals and ppl know isn't going to screw them over. Maybe not for someone making a first time deal, I guess. Most were $450+ and half a dozen were $500+. I think the top one was a XFX Black Edition for $550. This isn't one or two days either it was for almost a week. No friggin idea what was going on. It has to be noob idiot miners. I mean what gamer would want a used 5970 for $550 when they can get a brand new 7970 for the same price? It looks like the idiots ran out of cash. Hopefully we can see prices head back to $300 ea where they were in December but if BTC prices spike to $7 expect a run on them again as noobs think all you need is a 200% overpriced 5970 and you can make a quadrillion dollars a month. I wonder if some people even use a calculator. Likely the people buying 5970s for $550 have $0.28 electricity and very hot summers. Title: Re: WTB 5970s in bulk - NOT SINGLES please Post by: Electricbees on February 29, 2012, 06:26:59 PM Why did you pay so much bees? You can buy 6990 for $500. Because, when people in this community either offer used 5970's for $450, or the legitimate cheap deals drop off the map and never communicate with me again, $395 shipped looks mighty fine. And 6990's spew heat out both ends of the card, which makes ducting the heat out of my tiny mining room a daunting task. And for the record, I couldn't tell that these cards had ever been used. They clock high, and stay cool relative to some of the speeds/temps seen on here...
